things to do

Take a leisurely stroll through the tall palm trees of what once was a regular gully; which has now become a majestic transformation by Anthony Hunte into an ornately designed garden located in Barbados, known by many around the world, simply as: Hunte's Gardens.Best if you have a car.

Beach bar and restaurant. Entry fee includes beach lounge and redeemable at the bar. Great value. "For the Boatyard Barbados, you can't book ahead but show-up by 10am to get a "good spot". They do sell out quickly. Lots of fun there (rope swing, floating trampoline, short boat tour to snorkel the wrecks, etc). Spend $60 BBD per and get $45 back to spend on food and drinks)."

Truthfully all of the catamaran cruises are great and offer a lovely way to spend a day. Tiami is just one of them.

Traveler advice

Getting around

Getting around using the bus service.

It's best to use the large blue and yellow buses- they are a great way to move around the coast. They run from Bridgetown up the south and west coasts. There's also a "bypass" one that skips Bridgetown and goes from Oistins in the south to Holetown on the west. Fare is BDS$3.50 and you need exact change. Do a search for Barbados transport board for their webpage for information on schedules and routes.
