Mitchell's Ice Cream is simply the best! You can wait in line after taking a number, or you can stroll in like you own the place, grab a tub out of the freezer and jump the line. Yummy!

Coit Tower
It's a cool building, but I LOVE the Diego Rivera murals there.
Terrific natural history museum. They have a planetarium, an aquarium, and wonderful natural history exhibits. The roof is covered by a living garden. Worth the price, especially if you have kids. Their cafe serves really good food. You should go early and plan to have lunch there.
