I love climbing Arthur's seat. You get views all around Edinburgh, and can see the Lomond Hills over the Forth, and the Pentland Hills to the south. Follow the paths and be safe.

Visit a little old town just outside of Edinburgh. There are a few old pubs on the front, and you can see the rail bridge and the Forth road bridge, and the new third bridge on the Forth.

This is an old village on the Water of Leith. Now very nice place to live. You can walk through here and get a sense of how things were when the old mills worked on the river.

There is an observatory here. You can get a nice view of the city from this hillock. You will see what is called "Edinburgh's disgrace" - a half built grecian style edifice ran out of money.
