Food scene

One of my personal favorite places to eat. Whether you like oysters raw or cooked, cajun food or seafood, this is it. Great food and atmosphere. On the water.

This is another of my favorite places. McGuire's is a must. Great food and fun. Huge menu variety. Like the name indicates, it is Irish. The only place around that I know of for lamb dishes. Plan ahead.. There's usually a moderate wait time. Not a good choice for St Patrick Day or Spring break unless you like crowds. Wonderful atmosphere, Irish Folk entertainment, and the food is delectable.

I've only had the chance to visit this place once. it was delightful. The food was great. We ate outside on a picnic table in the sand overlooking the sound (an intercoastal waterway between the main land and island) at sunset. The kids played on the beach while we enjoyed a cocktail awaiting dinner. It was a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Best place to buy local seafood. I think all their raw seafood comes in on the boats locally. People who visit here go there to take seafood home. But it's more than seafood. There's a gourmet food and wine shop. A must visit.

Great place to picnic, walk or jog with your dog. There are covered gazebos with grills, running water, and bathrooms. Note that pets are only allowed on the north side part of the park and not allowed in picnic areas. The park is patrolled by State Park Rangers.

Lots of history. This is where Geronimo and his warriors spent many days working hard labor at the fort in direct violation of the agreements made at Skeleton Canyon. There is a camp ground where I could set up my camper for you if you make a reservation for it. Governed by State Park Rangers.
