At Erickson Springs on CO-12 Hwy on way to Crested Butte via Kebler Pass. Wonderful trial, but act 14 miles one way, so probably out and back.

The North Rim is only 30 miles/40 minutes away, has a great hike to Exclamation Point and seven scenic overviews, and is not at all crowded like the South Rim.
