Food scene

For some reason this side of the Hudson has scant dining options Sunday lunch but Stewart house (check opening times) often has a jazz trio and great food in a historic setting. Good other times too but clutch for a last weekend meal. Great Hudson riverside dining in summer plus ice cream window.

Business in front, party in back. From the street this is a cute, clean pub with excellent food (known for onion rings and award-winning wings). But in the back, there are fire pits on tripods that host an eclectic crowd. Coming to you from the folks who are transforming the historic Patrick Henry tavern in downtown waterfront Coxsackie into a wood-fired pizza place.
