Local town about 20 minutes drive away from the Old Barn, full of boutiques, antiques, and interiors shops (my fav is Rising Star and Kagu) and lovely cafes and pubs. Check out the Hoof and Hook for lunch, have a cuppa in Amy’s Pantry, and call into the Chapel Down vineyard on the way home. Check out below for more detail on them and more. Parking
Parking can be tricky in town, a great option is to park in the Waitrose car park, it's nice and central to the high street and you can pay on an app on your phone.
Traveling with kids
Great playground
There's a brilliant playground with a fab long slide, if you park in the Waitrose car park and walk across the road to the town's park you can't miss it. Plenty of green space around it, so plenty of room for a picnic.
