Dog friendly hike. This hike is considered hard as its is essentially a stair stepper for about 1.5 miles up. Great views of Boulder from the top and an amazing workout.

City/town information

Denver has a ton of great restaurants, breweries and experiences for the whole family! I recommend the RiNo arts district - in particular Epic Brewery and even catch a late night show at Nocturne! Outside of that, you really can't go wrong with the Botanical Gardens, Larimer Square or exploring 16th Street Mall.

Traveler advice

What to pack

Staying at 5,000 feet (and beyond)

A few things to keep in mind: - The sun is much more intense here, so definitely bring a sunscreen with at least 30 SPF - Drink plenty of water! The number one reason why folks end up getting headaches (at altitudes especially above 10,000 ft) is due to dehydration - If you do choose to drink alcohol, keep in mind that you might feel the effects more quickly or more dramatically than you would at sea level
