Parks & Nature

A really cool swimming hole- water rushes through gap in rocks into a very deep pool.7.9 miles from our place a small parking area on the right with a sign for Peekamoose Mountain area. Park here and cross the road to the creek and walk back the way you came a short distance then down a short path to the creek. Thanks to social media it is very popular so for weekends and holidays a permit must be acquired at least 24 hours but no more than a week in advance. https://www.dec.ny.gov/lands/109922.html#Permit
