Traveler advice

Don't miss

Hikes & areas

For easy-to-get-to hikes, anything in Chautauqua park, Sanitas, Bear Peak, Green Mountain are a good start. For a bit of a drive, go explore the Indian Peak Wilderness. Get there early for parking (by 7 am). Upper Diamond Lake is a rec. Nederland is a great town up the canyon with some great restaurants and breweries (Busey Brews Smokehouse, Crosscut Pizza, and roasted toad are my favorites). If you venture up to Lyons, the original Oscar Blues Brewery is there. Restaurants in Boulder worth checking out are Bramble & Hare, Rosetta Hall, The Kitchen, Salt, Cured, Dish, Mountain Sun Brewpub)
