Sightseeing

Lovely beaches, my favourite is the West Beach with the Sand Dunes and board walk. The new quayside walk to the East Beach and Amusement Park is great and the kids love crab netting of the quay using the kits sold from the local shops. You can hire fishing equipment also or join the fishing or Scuba trips on the boats. Other water sports are Kite Surfing, Paddle Boarding and Surfing.

Beautiful Historic Town, You can’t miss the Castle but a little further along the tree lined Avenue is the Boating lake at Swanbourne and the Bird Sanctuary. In town is a nice outdoor Swimming Lido and guided walks and events are available.

Lovely walk in the Angmering Estate or easy bike ride, a good place to go if it’s windy, take a picnic and a map, especially stunning in April May with an abundance of Bluebells. Read the History on Highwayman J Upperton, and find his gory resting place.

Just to the South of Sullington near Storrington, West Sussex, there is a narrow lane that starts West of Storrington and goes to a car park on top of the hill adjacent to the South Downs Way in the heart of the National Park, explore the chalk downland and look down at the Weald.

A walk around the Roman Walls and the Cathedral Gardens followed by lunch in the Cathedral Cloisters Cafe. Park at the Market Car park as there’s usually some traders there.
