There are ten Texas Parks and Wildlife Department paddling trails on Caddo Lake, and all of them are beautiful. That said, one of the most scenic and diverse areas for paddling is the area from this launch. There is little boat traffic, there are lots of birds, and this Wildlife Management Area launch offers an amazing view into the ecosystem of Caddo Lake.

Benton Lake is a photographer's dream and pros travel from all over the world to experience it. Clear Lake is eery, thick with cypress, and very close to the launch point. Ask me about these trails!

Three of the TPWD paddling trails can be accessed from Shady Glade Resort, Crip's Camp, Johnson's Ranch Marina, or the Starr Ranch boat launch inside the National Wildlife Refuge. The infamous Government Ditch is also located in this area. There are so many options that it's hard to choose, so ask me what is best based on seasonal conditions!
