Great beach on the sound side. Often called ‘Mom’s beach” due it being so kid friendly. It has a fantastic playground that is completely shaded. Picnic tables and grills available.

Traveler advice

Don't miss

The Saturday Farmer’s market downtown is a must!

Parking is available nearby, but you could walk there as well.
What to pack

Beach chairs or not?

If you park at Casino Beach, you will find beach chairs and umbrellas for rent already set up on the beach as well as lifeguards in case you have little ones.
Traveling with kids

Best beaches for kids

If you feel safer at a beach with lifeguards, check out Casino Beach. It’s the main one at Pensacola Beach. Also, a local spot called Quietwater Beach it as the locals say “Mom’s Beach” has calm water (sound side of the water) and an excellent covered new playground. It’s just off the boardwalk immediately to the left when crossing over the bridge to Pensacola beach. If you type “Key Sailing” into your gps, it’s just north of that. Crowley park and Gowens park are two other beach playgrounds.
Ways to save

Military discounts

Pensacola is a very military friendly city! Home to the Naval Air Station, a great many businesses offer military discounts.
