Take a scenic drive down the historic Highway 61. You will see large oak trees covered in spanish-moss canopied over the road as you pass the plantations. This is one of the oldest roads in all of Charleston and the essence of Charleston beauty.

You can gather lots of info about Charleston here! Also, my #1 recommendation is to do a horse and carriage tour! You learn about the history and get to see the beautiful architecture downtown. You can buy tickets at the Visitor Center.
