NO BOAT, NO PROBLEM LAKE ACCESS: ‘The Chains" gives visitors the opportunity for swimming, fishing and viewing the Glen Canyon Dam from the Lake Powell side. Just east of the Glen Canyon Dam, take a dirt road heading north off of highway 89. Some agility is needed to navigate the rocks down to the lake to swim. Explore the area and you may find some hidden private spots to enjoy a nice swim.

Just east of the Glen Canyon Dam, take a dirt road heading north off of highway 89. Some agility is needed to navigate the rocks down to the lake to swim. Explore the area and you may find some hidden private spots to enjoy a nice swim.
