Loved it here. Close to some great spots to eat and drink. Walked right out and swam in the bluest waters. It was lovely and I’d definitely come back.

Amazing, centrally located oasis. If you are coming to negril, you have to stay here. Clean room, amazing swimming area, and Bertram and his team are great! The hardest part is leaving.

This is my favorite place in Jamaica. Don't think about it for another second. Just go! It's beautiful, clean, safe, has exceptional hospitality, and is a great location. I've stayed at High Cove twice. I'll definitely be back next year.

Do not hesitate to book your stay! Although there are other people on the property, it still felt like we had it to ourselves. Hosts & staff were great if anything was needed; Paul was so sweet. We had a trip to remember!!

Bertram’s cottages on the cove are absolutely stunning. We had so much fun hanging on the property & exploring the area right around it that we didn’t even make it to the beach! He was also kind enough to arrange a ride for us from Montego Bay and we ended up using his driver on a whole day excursion to YS Falls & Floyd’s Pelican Bar (highly recommend). Overall it was an amazing stay! Can’t wait to come back to Negril

This was our second year we stayed. We love the intimacy of the cottage. The property is on a cliff overlooking the sea. The small reef right off the dock is outrageous!! Bertram and his wife are lovely hosts. Can’t wait until next year!

We were expecting a beautiful slice of paradise....but our expectations couldn't prepare us for the incredible beauty, hospitality, and comfort of Little Bird Cottage. Everything about the place was calm, easy, and luxurious. We loved the cottage itself, and the pictures don't do it justice. We loved swimming in the cove and seeing the rays, dozens of species of fish, and coastal birds. Definitely bring a mask and flippers! In terms of location, it honestly couldn't be more perfect. Sip n Bites, 3 Dives, Push Cart, and even the small bar next to the mini mart, made it so that we had authentic, beautiful, and delicious food for every meal. Tanique was extremely helpful with recommendations. We did an excursion to Black River and YS Falls that Tanique helped us to book through their driver Mr Bond. The trip was absolutely lovely, and Mr Bond was knowledgeable, thoughtful, and an all around wonderful guide. We wish that air bnb would allow us to give this place 6 stars. It's not to be missed, and in our opinion there's no better place to stay in Negril if you want water, Jamaican food, relaxation, and warm hospitality. We can't wait to return.

I recommend this accommodation, everything was perfect, the property is a resort with lots of green, has several rooms, pool, access and place on the beach, which although it seems small is the perfect size for all who wanted to enjoy the water and the sun . The attention was very good, very friendly all employees, especially the beach security guard. The cleanliness of the room was excellent. The hotel bar / restaurant is very good and has a good price, both drinks and a good plate of food. We really enjoyed the stay!

Very nice spot but the rooms are quite small. The hot tubs were also out of order when we visited. Lots to do and great location with walking distance to all restaurants, right next door we even did an excursion taking us to another island with delicious lobster. Overall we had a great stay but the rooms are very small.

Great location, delicious food, great staff especially Michael the Lifeguard who will take care of your every need with his positive attitude. Beautiful beach and sunset. Wonderful place to destress. Very laid back atmosphere. Lovely nightly entertainment. Would recommend this place.

Everything that was described for this place was it! My spouse and I enjoyed our stay very much. If you are looking for a beautiful , serene area to stay in Negril which is budget friendly and close to local shops /restaurants this is most definitely the spot for you!

Everything was as pictured, but better in my opinion. You’ll need a taxi ride or car because nothing was close walking distance. There is a bar/restaurant downstairs but I’m not sure how their service works.

I love to travel and visit new places. However, after my travels, I never take the time to write reviews (although I read them all the time). I normally get back from my trip and get distracted by the business of everyday life, and writing a review falls off my priority list...but this time was different. I wanted to make the time to review Somewhere West and share my amazing experience. The property is just as beautiful as the pictures portray. Really, the pictures do it no justice. We arrived on “Taco Turzdays,” and the cuisine at the restaurant included, you guessed it, tacos! There was also a live band playing at the restaurant, though I don’t know if that’s a regular thing. The rooms were clean and well maintained (and trust me, I have high standards). We stayed in the Indigo Room on the second level. Angi was genuine and extremely helpful during my stay. The staff I encountered at the restaurant were also friendly and helpful. Most drivers we used were knowledgeable of how to get to Somewhere West, which is in Deep West End and on the cliffs. On average, it took us about 15 minutes to get to the hotel where we got massages on Seven Mile Beach. There were a few dogs on the property, but they were not bothersome at all. Even if you aren’t a “dog person,” my guess is the average individual would not be afraid of the dogs since they pay you no mind and don’t appear menacing in the slightest. Overall, I had a wonderful time, and I appreciated the peace and tranquility I got from staying at Somewhere West. I will definitely be back!

Incredibly relaxing experience at an unbeatable location. The room was spotless and so well designed. The view was perfect as well. The on-site restaurant outdid itself with every meal we ate, and always had cold beers ready.

We had a wonderful time at Somewhere West. Our room probably had the most amazing view in Negril. It was really breathtaking. And the sound of the waves crashing into the cliff put us right to sleep at night. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The bed was huge and comfortable. The grounds were also nice. We enjoyed swimming at the saltwater pool. There is a restaurant on site and they have special events with live music on certain days, which is a bonus. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend staying at Somewhere West! I can’t stop thinking about this magical place. Hoping to return someday 😊

This place is PARADISE. We just wish we would never had to leave!! The 24hr salt pool next to the sea is so dope! Our place with private entry was spacious with a separate kitchen area and bathroom with hot water. There was even flowers on our towels! Bedroom has air conditioning, one roof fan and one standing fan. Bedroom opens to a balcony which offer the most stunning views, equipped with table, chairs and hammoc, surrounded by flower trees and green plants. (The neighboor unit also have their own part of the balcony next to yours). Angi is a very kind and quickly responsive host. She cooked us a great breakfast our first morning there and gave us good cues for the nice places to go in the West End area (MURPHYS was the best food we ate in Jamaica). There is also a restaurant (24hr order in advance) and a bar on the premises open to the public. The apartment is one of four units, just behind the host's house, located in a secluded area. Anything food-wise is a 20-30 min walk and taxis are not readily accesible. You should expect to pay 10-15USD for charter/local taxi from/to downtown (15 min drive) when route taxis are not available. The only downside was that wifi was not available when we were there, however we had been advised 2 weeks prior to our trip. It is a PERFECT place, I wish I would have stayed there my entire trip! I highy recommend this place.

Much better than pictures show. Angela and her folks take very good care of you. I felt like I was in heaven. Such a beautiful little resort/air bnb. Can’t wait to return.

Lovely place, lovely people!

The place is just idyllic! 1st floor rooms have exceptional sea views and the site has a pool that overlooks the ocean! In my opinion, the additional services are expensive (bar, restaurant, laundry, tours and activities) but seem to be of good quality. Staff available and pleasant. 10 min from Negril by car. In short, no hesitation!

This rental is perfect for me, but might not be for everyone. If you are used to all inclusive or staying in your air conditioned room all day you are probably not cut out for this spot. I love the seclusion, the feeling of sleeping in a tree house and all that comes with that. The views from he veranda are gorgeous day and night. The bed is very comfortable and the mosquito net is an added bonus. The fan does its job as it does cool down some at night. I will continue to rent here forever ❤️

We were very excited about the accommodation. Khenti was very nice. The room is a separate building and very clean. Nearby is a great restaurant and bar. The accommodation is highly recommended.

Khenti's place was ideal for a quiet and relaxing weekend. The room was very nice and authentic, clean, with all the basic necessities to prepare your own meal. The only thing is no WiFi but on the positive side you can totally disconnect and be one with nature. I highly recommend Khenti's place he was truly a nice hoste. One love!

It was the second time that we were in Khentis cottage and again we were very satisfied. A very clean apartment in a wonderful location! Kenthi is a very friendly and helpful host!

My stay at Khenti's cottage was truly one to remember. From the in-home kitchen, which is perfect for cooking at home meals, to the balcony where I had tea each morning, to the hammocks which is perfect for an afternoon of relaxation. Khenti was more than available for any in-town suggestions I needed in regards to taxi services, beach locations and more importantly, where to eat! The home is a short taxi or bike ride away from the popular Rick's Cafe, not too far from the beautiful beaches of Negril and a stone's throw away from a local bar with an amazing view of the cliffs and sunset. My stay was nothing short of amazing and this will be my future residence for any time I plan to visit Negril! Thank you Khenti for providing a safe, fun and peaceful stay for my travels. We are Argentines with a VERY basic English, we arrived at night and we were waiting for Sarah's father, that night was very noisy by the sea that was very windy, I could not sleep because of that and because I was sincerely scared (Negril is a very rustic town). The next day with sunlight we walked to the beach and that was our itinerary every day, nothing ever happened to us, it is not unsafe (except for the “center” of Negril at night which is where the roundabout is, scary). To haggle prices for everything! Going to and from Rick's cafe came out 7us we are a couple. The rest is all great, the cabin is VERY cozy has everything, good location many bars on that avenue. What a spot! Not only is it a fantastic place to stay with an epic patio/kitchen overlooking the water, but the area is a great place to explore. beautiful local beaches, restaurants Highly recommended.

If you want to live with the Jamaican people and still be close to famous 7 miles beach, Sarah's cabin is a good place to stay. There is a fish market just a few minutes and a bunch of local restaurants

Completely blown away by the perfect little gem in the heart of Negril. I was nervous about coming here alone but Sarah and her mother were so communicative and explained that their place is right next to bars and restaurants. You can lay out at Canoe bar to left which had a sandy area. The balcony is breathtaking and the kitchenette was perfect to make a meal with. The water pressure is better in their shower than mine at home lol. It’s a little noisy between 10pm-2 am so bring headphones if you’re a light sleeper. This is my new home away from home thank you Nada and Sarah for being the beautiful Women you are. One love, much love <3.

The host Nada (Sarah's mom) was extremely hospitable and accommodating. We loved her. Super cute little jam! Authentic rasta-style shack. Better for 2 people than for 4. Unless its a couple of kids. We were 4 grown people. The balcony is right over the water which is pretty awesome! If you are tall you might hit your head going in and out of a balcony. The place usually has hot water and AC. But occasionally things are not working like everywhere in Jamaica. The main large bed downstairs is quite comfortable contrary to what is expected in Jamaica. Bring earplugs if you are sensitive to noise cuz you are right on the road and there is a loud music everywhere. Great location! Many things around. Awesome value for your money! Will be back.

I loved the place. ❤️ The communication has been easy and Quick from the beginning. I really appreciated that. The welcoming is Nice. They make sûre you feel at home and offer you some useful information. I was proposed to be put in contact with a taxi. The hut is really Nice and is like in the pictures. There are special attentions in the decor as well as in our greeting. Also, the necessities are There and I did not miss a thing. There's a fan and ac. The balcony.... ❤️ My favorite spot. It is just over the water. I loooved spending Time there. The location is Nice too. You can walk from There to the beach or to Rick's cafe. Depending on where you are going it takes about 40 min walk. There's also restaurants, supermarket, cafe and bars around. When There was a question or a problem, communication is still Quick and they offer solution. I would go back if I Come back to Negril.

Wow! We were blow away by the adorable space and the absolute angel of a host who was so welcoming when we arrived and helpful throughout. When we first arrived the spotless, creative space brought us an immediate sense of comfort. As you look around the place you can really see how much effort and heart they put into designing this unique Airbnb! The balcony was one of my favorite places and the way it was situated so close to the sea brought all the right vibes day and night. There is less mosquitos by the sea (and nets on every window and door). We were able to park close by and felt very safe inside. We shared a meal at Sarah’s moms Middle Eastern restaurant “Mabsout” before leaving on Sunday and we very much enjoyed everything! The hummus, and natural tamarind juice were fantastic and her falafel brought me back to liking falafel after a rough exp a few years ago lol AmAZInG!! I’m sure we’ll book the place again! Thank you for everything!

Wonderful place, great location and wonderful owners.

Nice place. The patio is overlooking the ocean for great views and relaxation. Get a little local vibe observing the street area. The place was very clean and offered little convinces (a cooler, beach gear, yoga mats, candles, and much more) that takes it to the next level. The grocery store was downstairs and was very convenient for picking up meal items. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensil, pans, plates, etc. making cooking meals easy. Friendly hosts who checked in to ensure that everything was ok. I would stay here again!

The apartment is relatively small, but has everything you need. It is well furnished and offers a lot of additional equipment such as things to snorkel and a beach stay. The communication with Mellody was great and she answered quickly. The location is also good, but the apartment is right on the main street and it is partly really noisy. The beds were a bit short for taller people and for more than 2 people it could be cramped. But all in all, we loved it and would recommend it.

Even though this place gave us a little scare when we entered the complex, the villa is really wonderful and beautifully decorated inside. Location is perfect. Lots of good local food is very close by and access to any convenience is simple. Mellody and both housekeepers were super helpful.

This was one of the simplest stays ever! You get to feel like a local with a view from both levels and deck. You're literally right across the street from the water! Mellody arranged a driver to pick us up at the airport for a great price and the check in/check out process was effortless. You're literally walking distance to local spots, 7 Mile Beach and the "city" where's there's a bank and other national chains. The shops below are great for convenience. The Hi-Lo store on site is on the expensive side. Take the 2 min walk to one of the other stores on West End road to save a few bucks. Thank you again Mellody & Scott!

This place is great and is centrally located to all the famous spots in Negril. You can do your money exchange just downstairs at the Cambio then go food shopping next door also there are gift shops just below your villa. If needed you can withdraw money from the Nova Scotia bank ATM just down the block. Overall this pad is clean and laden with great amenities. I will stay at Mellody and Scott’s place whenever I’m in Negril :-)

If you want to feel the vibe of the locals, that is where you need to stay! The appartment is in a complex with lot's of small villas just like the appartement itself. You will be surrounded by Jamaican and feel as if you would live there.

This is a hidden gem on the outskirts of the town and tourism. It is easy to grab a cab if need to go anywhere. Absolutely beautiful location. Truly a unique experience. Awesomeness!

Maria, Jube, Kevin and the rest of the staff are great. The staff are A1. They are the best. The infinity pool is to die for. The grounds of the compound are kept in fantastic condition. The guard dogs were kind and alert. The room is clean and beautiful with a great shower area. The retreat is definitely a retreat though, because that WiFi is an F. It's non-existent. Make sure to buy an international calling plan ahead of time because there is no wifi on the compound.

Tingalaya's is an incredible place. The grounds of the retreat incredibly landscaped. Beautiful plants, chirping birds and delicious smells surround you at every corner. All the spaces, including our room, the yoga center and the common eating area are immaculately designed and create a very relaxed, rustic and Jamaican vibe. The ocean pool built into the cliffs is a tremendous spot for sunsets. Most importantly, the staff is so so helpful and kind. The daily breakfasts were some of the best meals we had while in Jamaica and the dinner that Maria cooked was probably the best. The owner was staying at Tingalaya's during our visit as well. He was quite gregarious and generous with giving us suggestions and a history of the retreat. Truly a fantastic spot. Tingalaya's is a bit further down the West End than most other restorts or hotels. This makes it very quiet, relaxing and restorative. If that's what you're looking for this is the spot for you!

We had an amazing time during our one-week stay at Tingalaya's. The grounds were serene, the staff was super helpful and friendly (thank you Sophia, Maria, Jube, Kevon and Bobby!) and the location was quiet and off the beaten path. Yes, the neighbors dogs do bark at night, but no worse than our own at home barking at squirrels and stray cats. Breakfast was delicious every morning, and we had two dinners, the night we arrived and the night before we left. Maria, Sophia and Jube are some serious cooks. We spent a day down on seven mile beach, but loved the cliffs and the mountains way more. The saltwater pool was secluded and unique. Unfortunately the sea was too rough during our stay to swim off the cliffs, but it made for some fun times in the pool! We will definitely be back.

The place was really awesome. It was like staying in a botanical garden! The swimming cliffs were really cool to swim from. Everyone on the property was very nice to deal with. Air conditioning was not a problem like I was worried about. The food was great. Not too far to get down the road to get to the beach. We happened to stay at the edge of the property, and the neighbors dogs would bark sometimes in the night and the internet only worked at the dining area, but other than that, it was a really cool experience and was nice to be electronically off the grid.

Place is gorgeous and perfect for those who want the quaint comforts of a much quieter environment and ambiance. The openness of the rooms were amazing! We decided to have our friends book the room that joins with us that made it much more fun but you will be able to hear everything considering the walls are thin and allow the breeze to cool the rooms. The access to the ocean was definitely another bonus as you’re able to catch the most beautiful sunsets so privately. Maria the chef and jack of all trades is amazing!! She will be your hook up to scheduling yoga sessions, planning meals, and assists with everything. The staff are just awesome! Highly and most definitely recommend!

Tingalaya is a beautiful hidden gem, nestled in the jungles of Negril right by the beach. We had breakfast every morning by the amazing staff. Kevin the lifeguard, helped us into the ocean our first day and we snorkeled. We felt very secure and safe at the Resort. The Wi-Fi was a bit spotty and only worked in the dining areas. We had an amazing time and we would recommend staying here.

Tingalaya is a very special place in Negril far away from other crowded resort but close to real Negril. This was our 2nd stay there and we will repeat for sure.

We rented the entire Coral Cottage for our company retreat, and it couldn't have been more perfect for us. The location is way off the beaten path (in the best way possible), Richie was an amazing host, showing us several incredible local spots, and the food prepared was authentic and delicious. The rooms were very clean and it all just felt like "real" Jamaica. Highly recommend. One thing to note is that all the rooms except for one (the Love Shack) have A/C. I stayed in the room without A/C, which was totally fine, EXCEPT for the last night which was a Saturday -- there was VERY loud music blasting from across the water (it was far away, but the sound carried). Kept me up until 2am, but it was certainly not any fault of the Airbnb! Otherwise, it was quiet and peaceful and a fantastic place to stay.

I can't say enough great things about Coral Cottage, Richie and Benjamin. 7 of us stayed at Coral Cottage for a week over Christmas and had one of the best vacations we have ever had. Before our stay, Benjamin was quick to respond to any questions we had and gave many ideas of things to do in the area. During our trip Richie was so helpful and we really enjoyed learning about Little Bay from him. We had everything we needed during our stay and had plenty of space for us all to enjoy. The meals the ladies cooked were amazing and we all enjoyed them so much. The pool was amazing and we really enjoyed jumping off the rocks to swim in the ocean. We enjoyed our walks through Little Bay and enjoyed visiting the Bat Cave and water hole that is just a short walk from the villa. We went on Richie's boat to "fish" and we all really enjoyed it. There were two lobster in one of the crates and Richie was happy to cook them for us when we got back to the house. Richie even had an outside movie night for the family with popcorn and a bonfire by the ocean. He really went above and beyond to make this a great trip. All the people from Little Bay were so welcoming and friendly. On Christmas Day we were able to walk around to the houses in the area and give gifts to the kids. It was the highlight of our trip to see the smiles on their beautiful faces. They were all so appreciative and polite. Our kids formed several friendships while there and are already planning our next trip to Little Bay and Coral Cottage. The experience we had at Coral Cottage and Little Bay was much more than what we expected. On the drive to the airport two of our oldest girls age 13 and 15 were in tears not wanting to leave. We feel so blessed that we were able to stay in Coral Cottage for our kids to experience Little Bay. We made memories there that will last a lifetime. More than any resort we have ever stayed in. There are a lot of things to do right outside Little Bay that Benjamin and Richie recommended that we enjoyed so much. Our favorite activity outside Little Bay was Mayfield Falls. It was far better than what we read about others in the area. We enjoyed all the activities but our time in Little Bay with Richie was the best by far!

I stayed for 3 nights at Coral Cottage with 6 friends to celebrate my birthday and it was fantastic. Richie is an amazing host and made us feel right at home. Little Bay is a small village and suited for people looking for a quiet, relaxing and authentic Jamaican vacation. The pool is one of the best parts of the property, as well as being able to jump right into the ocean and snorkel. We ate two dinners prepared at Coral Cottage and the food was great-they even made me a birthday cake! Richie also spent an afternoon taking us to a bat cave and nearby mineral pool. The highlight of the trip was taking the boat out for the day-we went out early morning and the water was like glass. He took us to a deserted beach and made a fantastic lunch grilled right over the fire he made. As they recommend, get groceries, alcohol and cash before coming to Little Bay. We also ate at Tikis right up the road for lunch-but you must like chicken! The booking experience with Ben was easy and he was very responsive to concerns and messages throughout the process. I would highly recommend Coral Cottage for your next Jamaican getaway!

If you’re not looking for resort accommodations and want to experience true Jamaica then Coral Cottage is just the place for you. Ritchie’s time and attendance to our needs were unmatched . He really took great care of us . The meals were great! House was clean!

This place is located in one of my favorite communities on that side of the island. I would definitely recommend someone staying here who wants a real Jamaican experience. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming! Would stay here again.

A house is not a home without love: Benjamin's place is a home due to love of Richie, Shiney and family in their welcoming and caring for you when you stay at Coral Cottage. A rural area with a great deal of poverty was made safe by Richie's guidance and relationship he has with locals. We were greeted by most everyone and his mini adventures to hidden springs and bat caves are not experiences you can get an all inclusive hotels/gated compounds . The house is set up for privacy and also gathering together and we highly recommend to hire Shiney to cook for a few nights as her cuisine is an amazing mix of Jamaican and French styles...her breakfast (porridge to die for) is also recommended. She and her family make your stay like visiting long lost relatives. We have a rainbow family and were worried about safety but Richie accompanied us on many outings and we had no problems whatsoever. Benjamin is excellent in responding to questions and arranging the stay. If you want to feel like you have been to the real Jamaica, and do not mind not having all the frills of big hotels, this is a one and a life time place...where else can you sit in a swimming pool and watch crashing waves on huge boulders sipping Red Stripe looking at the sea without other buildings on the skyline and without any light pollution which provides a clear view of the magnificent stars.

The local host Richie is the best Jamaica on the island :) beyond super host :) he made the trip so fun. Loved the place and the trip. I highly recommend the having them cook food for you at least the first night and morning and if you love it as much as my whole family did, you can have them continue to provide your entire meals while you are there. Warning: this place is for people who want a real and amazing authentic adventure in the beautiful island of Jamaica :) hope to come stay here again some day :) loved it!!!

I have so much gratitude to Mr. Dexton for generously giving me awesome chicken and rice when I arrived, in this very comfortable house. The view is great and you can walk through neighborhoods in the beautiful hills down to the town center.

What an awesome location, environment, and price. Massimiliano was quite accommodating to me and my husband. The place was clean and had a spectacular ocean view. We are definitely returning to this gem in Negril.

This is a beautiful cottage located in the hills of Negril. You will hear the wildlife at nights (lizards cracking, birding chirping, insects etc). such beautiful sounds! You can see the 7 miles of beaches from above. The road to get there is a bit treacherous if you aren't a great driver however, completely manageable. Dexton is so friendly and warm! I wish I was staying for a longer time. The home is not a hotel! It's an authentic Jamaican cottage! We enjoyed our stay in Negril

Great place to be in Negril! It has an amazing view on the see and it’s not very far from the city center. Also Dex, the caretaker is really nice and helpful. You can ask him anything!

Dexton was a great host , If I knew about having him as an option I would book for longer days in Negril. He made me discovered local vibz in Mobay.

Amazing value. I felt like I was in a jungle oasis, surrounded by chirping birds and amazing views of the ocean and surrounding forest. The walk to the beach and downtown was amazing, there is so much to see in the neighbourhood and neighbours are all so friendly (and they don't try to bargain like in tourist areas!). My host, Dexton, was very helpful and taught me how to play dominos- it showed that he told great care of the Airbnb and his guests. I really appreciated my visit and only wish I could have stayed longer.

We loved staying at Brent's house for so many reasons. This was our 3rd trip to Negril but previously we had stayed at all inclusive resorts on 7 mile. This trip we were coming with 2 other parties of people and our 3 children. A larger spot in a more quiet setting seemed more appropriate. We were so happy with our decision. *Check in was a breeze and when we couldnt get in right away (because if us not them) we received instructions immediately. This was so amazingly helpful. *The house is beautiful and just as pictured. And the amount of thought and caring put into everything about this house stands out. Everything is labeled and made to be helpful and make your stay as easy as possible. It was obvious from the get go that this couple has taken time and put a lot of thought into making their home your home for the length of your stay. *The beach is beautiful and clean and maybe a 5 minute walk. We did it every day with 3 children and had no complaints. *We had 1 small hiccup (not by any fault of the owner) and it was resolved so quickly we hardly noticed. *Security was present and made us feel safe. As mentioned we traveled with 2 other groups who both stayed at other houses in the neighborhood. 1 was very happy with their home, the other was disappointed. Both, however, said ours was their favorite. Both in location and the amount of information given to make our stay so simple and lovely. When we return we will be staying here again.

We stayed at three different locations during our trip to Jamaica and this was definitely our favorite. The home was stylishly-decorated, the views were incredible, and the owner was an absolute joy to work with (truly going above and beyond to accommodate some late and unexpected changes on our end). Comfy beds, safe neighborhood, great amenities, an incredible pool and beach.... and all for a fair price. I can’t recommend this place enough. We hope to be back to visit Negril again someday and would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks for sharing your little slice of heaven with us for a few days!

Amazing experience. The pictures don't do this place justice. It is 10xs more beautiful in person. Let's start from the beginning. Brent is a super SUPER host. His communication is on point and very quick. He made planning my group trip smoother. The workers are friendly and helpful. We stayed for 1 week and we had the pool pretty much to ourselves which was great. Private beach right behind the pool was awesome and convenient. The house was so comfy and beautiful. Things were easy to find and clearly labeled. The backyard and cliff area so beautiful and so much breeze we chilled out there every day. Beds are comfortable. This place is a perfect spot for a group or family. The location of the house is perfect. Very close to supermarkets, restaurants, nightclubs all the activities in Negril. Thank you Brent! We look forward to staying here again!

Brent's is on the cliff side and right near the beautiful white sand beaches of Negril. The place is immaculately kept with bonus amenities that will make you not want to leave. Plus, the places was very kid friendly as we brought our infant with us.

Brent's place has a killer ocean view. We spent quite a bit of time sitting on the patio under the tiki hut enjoying the breeze and staring out into the gorgeous bright blue water. The kitchen is well equipped with multiple coffee makers, a toaster, toaster oven, and fridge with nice ice maker. We cooked several meals there and everything worked well. It is a short walk from the house to the pool and beach inside the community and Brent provides a great little beach wagon to carry all your beach gear which was so convenient. The location is a little north of Negril so it is wonderfully peaceful. However you can drive to 7 mile beach in about 5 minutes. Our family had a great stay and have already recommended Brent's place to others.

This was my first time booking an Airbnb and I just want to say this place blew my mind and everyone that traveled with me how beautiful it was. Walking in and seeing how clean and perfectly laid out everything in the house was put us at such ease. The view waking up in the morning too is something we will never forgot. Getting to share this experience with my family was priceless. We were able to bond and take some amazing pictures while enjoying everything around us. A very nice place to stay. Only a one night but it was worth it.

Winfield's place was better then expected! I especially loved the hummingbirds in the tree right outside of our window! And of course the beach, which was about 20 steps away. It was perfect and I would definitely stay there again!

For Airport Transportation contact Juta Transportation 18769579197 if you need reliable transportation all across the island...The hotel is located on a Public Beach, which is almost always empty with 1-2 locals walking by. The rooms are kept very clean, also they have restaurant on site, gym on site...etc....You just need to book and see it for yourself!!!!

This is an exceptional resort that provides comfort and value on the beautiful beach at Negril. This resort is family owned and well run with pride and integrity. This family is instrumental in giving back to the community with an extraordinary focus on the youth.

Our trip to to Travelers Beach was amazing. The staff was so nice and helpful for anything we needed. The pool and the beach are just steps away which was so awesome. Everything was very well kept and clean. Food was amazing. There are several places you can walk to along the beach to eat and have some drinks. If you're going to Negril this is the place to go.

The pictures don’t lie! Karen’s home is tucked away off a picturesque private community beach. The views from the house and the expanse of decks to take it in are plentiful. The temperature controls were great, we could open ample windows and doors for a fresh sea breeze, or use the fans in each room or AC if needed. The washer/dryer is also really helpful if you’re traveling with a kid like we were. I’d highly recommend this villa for anyone looking for a great/private place to vacation and unwind.

This beautiful house is right on the beach located in a secluded private bay. It was immaculately clean and updated with everything you need to have a pleasant stay. We loved that we were just a 10-15 minute drive from the bustle of Negril with tons of restaurants and other beaches nearby, yet could leave that all behind in our gated community. The beach was very well kept with attendants taking care of it daily and on calm days the snorkeling was amazing in the little bay. Would definitely recommend this place to any family or friends looking for a quiet getaway in a luxury type setting!

Karen’s place was beautifully decorated and in the perfect spot on the beach. Close to the pool and with a view of the water. We loved that she has AC in her living room in addition to the bedrooms because not all units in Little Bay have this option. Her deck furniture and umbrella made sitting outside very pleasant. The King sized bed was so comfortable! I loved it. I’m not sure about the queen bed but I had no complaints from my kids and I’m sure it was just as comfortable as it seems like Karen pays close attention to details. She had more than enough towels, washcloths and beach towels for a family of 4 which is nice to not have to pack. Housekeeping stopped by twice to see if we needed anything, which we didn’t because the house is well stocked! There is a local cell phone there to use to make local calls which helps a lot. Also, the WiFi was fast and we had no problems with it going down. We would stay here again in a second! Thank you Karen!

We have stayed at Oleanders place now a few times and would definitely book again. There are several stairs inside and outside and the bed is high so just keep in mind in terms of accessibility. We stayed with a 2 year old and the house was great. I was amazed at how equipped it was with plenty of utensils, cookware etc. More so than any other Airbnb I have used. We love this home soooo much we actually checked out of another place early to come back and stay. The host and house manager are easy to communicate with and very helpful. Of all the 2 bedrooms we have stayed at in Little Bay Country Club, this is our favorite. I wrote about the view before but it is the best part, you won't regret booking this place.

We loved our stay at Oleander's place. We have stayed in this community many times and this was our favorite experience by far. We immediately noticed how clean the house was. It was very comfortable for myself, my husband and our toddler. The view was spectacular and we always enjoy the pool and beach. We wish we were still there...

Overall unit 95 is perfect vacation spot! HOST: Oleander is very responsive. He answered all my questions following up to my vacation. UNIT 95: The location is perfect. The larger bedroom overlooks the ocean (perfect for looking at the sunset and the sunrise. The house is in great condition! The house was clean and a housekeeper (Avis) stopped by occasionally to clean during our stay. The house manager (Ann Marie) greeted us upon our arrival to give us a tour around the house. She is very accessible to communicate with via text/call. The beach and pool is walking distance from unit 95 (I was thrilled Oleander provided beach towels). COMPLEX: This property offers 24/7 security service on site. The security team are at the the front entrance of the property and they also patrol around the community on bicycles. They assisted us with transportations (this was helpful because we didn’t want to hop on random taxis). All the security guards are very friendly! I felt extremely safe at this property. SUGGESTIONS: A mini bar or shop would be nice in the community. Especially at the pool area. Little Bay is further from downtown so it would be convenient for guests to make purchases.

Great place with amazing views. The photos are very accurate. Hospitality is good. I would recommend renting a car or bike because the location is far from the main attractions on seven mile beach or west end. Walking from here isn’t really feasible and taxi fares to & from begin to pile up. Great space with nice outdoor patio and the sunset from the master bedroom is beautiful.

Bradley and Donna's place is just amazing. We loved everything about it: the spacious house, the private beach, the pool, the garden full of flowers, the clear waters and the beautiful sunsets. Bradley's constant availability and willingness to help whenever we had a question or needed some assistance made us feel really welcomed and at home. Sashana is a good cook if you need one and Gary (the housekeeper) is simply a gem, a very nice yet discrete presence to have around: always ready to share insightful information about the local community, give useful tips about logistics and things to do, and generally eager to help if needed. After a week there, we felt like being part of the family! Lastly, Dexton, the driver we hired on Bradley's recommendation provided us with an impeccable, professional, smooth and very pleasant service driving us around and telling us about Jamaica and its culture.

Garry, opens the gate to greet new arrivals and serves as an onsite grounds keeper. As he lives on site in the little second house, he's here to answer questions and assist. Grant's Market and Wholesale across the road has groceries. Fresh fruits and veggies can be purchased in Montego Bay, Savannah la Mar or Whitehouse. Bel Cove Villa kitchen is well equipped for food prep and for smoothies in a blender. The Cracked Conch Restaurant at Luna Sea Inn has ocean views, food and ambiance. Elaine's Café up hill from Main Road past the Anchor has great food a view of Sandals. P & K cook shop on Bluefield's bay by the fisher's dock offers local fresh fish by Kevin, a fisherman cook and his wife. Sit by the water, while you wait for fresh cooked fish. Chef John and Chris

We just got back from a 10 day vacation at Bel Cove Villa. The closeness to the beach from the back patio is amazing! Great pool and gazebo on the water! The house is furnished very nicely and Gary will make sure you have everything you need. (I would also like to say that Gary is very kind and extremely knowledgeable of the area). We hired Dexton for transportation from and to the airport and learned a lot about Jamaica. I would strongly recommend him. The only negatives about the stay and is NO fault of Bradley and Donna! - was the loud music that plays until late in the evening from across the street and the neighborhood rooster that starts crowing at 3 a.m. (I am thankful that I brought a sound machine to help drown out some of the noise). Other than those two issues, it was a very relaxing vacation with beautiful views! Thank you Bradley and Donna for sharing your Villa!

Enjoyed our stay at Bel Cove, just what we needed...peace and relaxation. The villa is beautiful and well kept, great layout for a family with lots of space and every bedroom has its own full bathroom which is amazing. There are so many sweet spots to hangout outside, my favourite was the gazebo. Our family enjoyed the pool and watching the sunsets. There was a lot of seaweed that was washed up on the beach in front of the villa (obviously out of anyone’s control and not by any means an issue)so we stuck to the pool for swimming. Bluefields beach is right down the road and we loved it, beautiful beach and could have swam there all day. We dined out for dinner a couple times at Luna Sea which is also right down the road, great atmosphere and delicious food. The master bedroom and en-suite bathroom were amazing. The little supermarket across the street was very convenient. We enjoyed the music coming from next door to the villa...added to the ambience. We also loved all of the birds at the villa, blue heron and pelicans on the beach and hummingbirds out the kitchen window. Lastly I need to mention Gary the caretaker. Gary is one of the sweetest souls I’ve encountered in my 25years of travelling to Jamaica, so helpful and just a genuinely humble and kind man. Created some wonderful family memories at Bel Cove and highly recommend.

10 out of 10. I cannot stress how amazing this space and community of people were. We felt like this was a home away from home. Sashawnais an EXCELLENT cook. Garry made sure all things were taken care of and Dexton drove us around, everywhere! It was perfect, better than expected. The home is comfortable and the property is beautiful. A nice swin in the rain, in the pool, was a lot of fun! Highly recommend. We will be returning. We felt like we made new family. Bradley was so responsive, and took care of any issues that we had, promptly. Thank you!

More than expected. Our family truly enjoyed this location. The scenery every morning was amazing. Dolphins swimming by in the early mornings and watching the sunset every night. Gary the grounds keeper was amazing. He can obtain anything you need or guide you. He was a delight to have around. My kids and family will miss his company however plan to return again. The gazebo was beautiful. Watching the fish in the water was a lot of fun. The home was perfect. Plenty of room. Kids loved the pool. Gardens were well kept. Local store a-crossed the road was extremely helpful. We enjoyed the music in the morning and night! We enjoyed local food. Watching fisherman in the sea. We can’t wait to return!!

The location is hard to find but well worth it. Look for the academy in Belmont sands and Belcove villa is opposite (grey wall, turquoise pillars and black gate.) The pool was nice but the private beach and gazebo are to die for. The sea is warm and shallow and we saw small rays, crabs etc but the highlight was one morning, just after breakfast we saw a couple of dolphins and a baby so close to the shore. The kids jumped into the on site canoe and paddled out for a once in a life time experience. Gary the groundsman lives on site if you need anything. Sone reviews mentioned nearby music but it was over by 10 at the latest and added a holiday vibe to the place. Spoke to Bradley a couple of times. He was just sooo nice and I felt privileged to share his home. I would definitely recomend this place, will tell all my friends in Digicel and will be back. Btw couple of tips for trips. Day 1 we went 30 mins down the road, past black river to parrotee bay to catch a boat out to Pelican bar. We then drove another 30 mins inland to YS falls. Much better than Dunns river. Then 30 mins back to Bel Cove. Next day we went in he other direction to Negril to see 7 mile beach, then headed back 15 mins to Rick's cafe and then 4 mins to Barneys flower and hummingbird garden before stopping for KFC on the way home

My son and I spent 5 days here and absolutely loved it. I much preferred this area to stay in rather than the Beach road. There are plenty of places to eat and shops in walking distance. The outside area of the property is so perfect, plenty of beds and umbrellas and the little shelter with hammocks was a great place to take a break from the sunshine. I would fully recommend staying here and I hope that one day I manage to return.

This place is a hidden gem that competes with any resort!

High Cove is a masterpiece in progress for millennia. The ancient cliffs were tamed by the genius of Bertram to yield a perfect melding of nature and comfortable living. Our 8 days in Seabird Cottage was a total renewal for me and my bride of 60 years. The second floor bedroom exemplifies Bertram's skill in capturing the feel of a true beach house where each evening the gentile sounds of the sea brought on a deep relax. It was fun snorkeling directly off the property's walkway to the picturesque cabana. The marine life was plentiful and the water crystal clear. One of the High Cove guests put on quite a diving performance for us from a platform leading safely into a deep area. I was very pleased I took Bertram's advice and left all our driving to Byron who is a very knowledgable and trustworthy resource. He was always there for us with good ideas and a smiling face. He provided all our transportation for 8 days. Airport pickup and delivery was by another well tested resource, Mr. Bond. Trip planning had me guessing as to the amount of cash to carry in. It is true that some places and taxi services work only in cash and strongly prefer US dollars. We found most all restaurants took credit cards. I always asked that the tip get added in before the card is run so that I didn't unnecessarily drain my reserves. I took in $1100 but probably should have come with more like $1500. Good restaurants are plentiful. The Rockhouse restaurant is close by and serves all day, including breakfast where Blue Mountain coffee is featured. Sunsets are best enjoyed from High Cove itself but Rockhouse is a close second and has the advantage of someone to fetch you another rum as the sun slowly sets. Amateur divers also launch themselves off the cliffs for the benefit of the catamaran boats that include Rockhouse as a stop in their sunset cruise package. The famous Rick's Cafe is nearby if you are looking to join the crowds at sunset. Restaurants in general ... very good. I would give them all 4 stars and add a fifth for their location and hospitality. Push Cart opens only for the evening and is a sister restaurant of Rockhouse. The whole Roasted Snapper was the best. Presley's Seafood & Grill is also close by. Place your order the day before for one of the best dining experiences available. Don't be turned off by its colorful wooden facade and the fact that it is not on the sea side. There is a convenience store about one block away from High Cove that is worth a visit to add to the local charm along with that of an adjoining "restaurant". Some travelers question their personal safety in Jamaica. We always felt very safe. The Negril area is not like Kingston. It is laid back and Bob Marley proud! We can't say enough about Tanique, Bertram's wife. She too was always readily available to resolve any issue of which we had none. Her sparkling personality pulled the whole experience together.

Bertram’s place is absolutely beautiful. Lots of space, incredible views, and Tanique is super helpful on site with helping find local drivers and recommendations. Would definitely stay here again! Lovely place

This is an incredible spot. Feels like your own oasis with great swimming right out your front door, with a fun ledge to jump off, and amazing snorkeling. A short taxi from 7 mile. Bertram and his wife are wonderful people and hosts, connecting us with a great driver (ask for Byron) who brought us to a safe and fun spot on 7 mile each day. Great restaurants around (Ivan’s is fantastic). If you want some peace and ability to still be close to the action I highly recommend this stay.

It was so incredibly beautiful at Manfred's home. He has built a real paradise there that is so incredibly beautiful. If you are planning to come to Negril this is the best place to get to know everything and at the same time you get very good tips from both of them. I will come back 100%. It was just beautiful!

We enjoyed every minute of Mani and Beate's small hideaway and felt right at home from the first moment. The cottage has everything you need and Beate and Mani will do everything to make your stay a memorable one. Mani's cooking is terrific and we make sure you do not lose any weight on holiday! ;) Thank you very much for everything! Absolute and unreserved recommendation!

we had a few nice days in Judy house. lovely little houses, beautiful garden and friendly staff. it was a safe place with a night security guard and locked fence. a short walk to a little beach and a 5 minute taxi drive to seven mile beach.

Sue’s Judy House allows you to really see and experience Jamaica. We had a wonderful time - the location is beautifully nestled in lush vegetated hills and close to everything - 7 Mile Beach, the West End...everything worth seeing in Negril. Sue and Martell give great advice and genuine hospitality.

I love the feel of this place. I have been to Negril many times and every place you stay has a different feel. This was lively, friendly, relaxed, very close to nature, and you feel the rhythm of the Jamaican day, with chickens crowing in the morning, dogs barking when they feel like it, music at night. I heard the local woman living in the house behind me giving a school lesson to a young pupil. She was so patient and kind. You are staying at a collective place. If you are looking for a sterile environment, no noise, no contact with locals or lots of 5 star goodies, then this is probably not your place.

Judy House cottage was the perfect choice for us. If you want a resort experience, this is not for you. If you want to experience a real community and meet other travelers from all over the world, this is your place. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is helpful, and the location is perfect. We enjoyed our mornings at the Canoe Bar on the beach (about a 10 minute walk). The Blue Mountain coffee is literally the best we’ve ever had. Lots of shops and food within walking distance and you can take a taxi to anywhere further. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The grounds were beautiful, the cottage so cute and quite adequate. If you want a sterile resort experience don't stay here; but if you would like to know the real sounds, lifestyle and people of Jamaica...yes. I walked to the beach and yoga everyday, enjoyed the eatery Canoe at the bottom of the hill where there was also a lovely little beach. There were travelers from worldwide staying there as well as there was also a backpackers hostel associated with the property. The place is qated and has security at night. Enough for an older lady traveling alone. The staff was great, all communication was good with the owner, very accommodating. Take some mosquito repellent for outdoors.

The hotel is on the beach. We walked to Margaritaville by the street it was a nice walk. We also walked down the beach to the right. Had a lovely stay. Would be a great place to stay a long time.

Location location location. You are a short drive from the cliffs, surrounded by food vendors and shops, and just 30 feet from the sands of the most beautiful peaceful beach you have ever seen.

Great place. Great location. The beach is steps aware from the condo. There are restaurants on the beach. We felt safe. Condo is comfortable with WiFi. TV, AC, kitchen and hot water.

If you're looking for a place that's convenient, on the beach, amazing food and location this is the place to be. We felt like we were at a resorts the beach house was amazing the beds were super comfortable. There is a security 24-hours there people working there were so kind and the beach is located right behind on the same platform as well as they had a swimming pool and a hot tub so I would definitely recommend this place for anybody and I will be staying again when it come back to negril.

This condo was great. It’s located in the Negril Beach Club community, and is literally steps from the beach. There is a convenient outdoor restaurant right on the beach behind the condos. The a/c works fantastically. Kitchenette has all the necessities. Bathroom is adequate. The location is great. I would definitely come back to this condo to stay and would recommend it to others.

Teddy's place was very cute. We were in the lower jungle guest house which was 5 mins from the beautiful beach. The place was clean and modern. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. Loved our stay there.

India (Calcutta, Bombay, Kerala, Agra, New Dehli), Spain (Madrid, Barcelona, Grenada, Nerja), Monaco, Nice, France, Rome, Italy, Canada (Montreal, Windsor, Toronto, Vancouver), Tijuana, Mexico, Bahamas, Maldives, Istanbul, Turkey, and Dubai, Imirates......Let's just say this is where and how I want to wake up rain or Shine. This puts your stay at an all Inclusive to Shame. I stay at hotels, airbnbs and hostels. I've been to many cities around the US and my stay at this Beach Condo was the Best!!!! It was clean with up to date amenities, spacious, housekeeping on staff, a massage therapist on duty, lifeguard, and a restaurant and bar outside your door and a 30 second walk to the beach front. The unit is in a private enclosed area you feel like your in an Amazon forest but then you can step right out to the beach. If you truly knew what to do you hit the grocer mart before you get there and you never had to leave. They make special meals upon request, they have great security and parking. They have fruit growing on the trees, and they have cable TV for your viewing pleasure on rainy days. I love this place and I will be back really soon!

The condo is located on the third row from the beach, surrounded by gardens that provide privacy and close encounters with the beautiful hummingbirds that dart about, collecting nectar. The friendly staff made the stay a delight. The restaurant's food and drinks were phenonmenal, improved by the prompt and smiling service of Georgia and Trio. Travis the lifeguard watched that passing beach vendors did not harass guests and beachgoers. All said, of the 3 times I have stayed in Jamaica, this was the most relaxing and pleasant, all thanks to the work of the staff.

Somewhere West is off the grid, away from the busy Negril hub but easily accessible with a 10 min car ride. When you walk into that room you never want to leave. The view is outstanding, often hypnotizing with beautiful sunset shows every night. There is so much to see and do on the deep west side, inside the room there’s a great guide to help you plan trips and meals. Angela is an incredible host, her attention to details is refreshing, she helped us out to plan a custom tour of Little Bay. We could not have asked for a better tour and tour guide. Thank you for the wonderful memories!!!

I travelled solo to Jamaica and stayed a week here in one of the upper suites. The decor was simple but beautiful. This place is a real value. I really just went on vacation to relax, read and write. It was just perfect. I only left once in a taxi to get groceries, else, I spent most of my time in a hammock on the deck. It was truly beautiful and peaceful here. The views from the upper suites are amazing! Such awesome views of the ocean, changing skies, and the stars at night. It was just perfect. There is always staff around if you need anything. A special shout out to the bartender, Tanisha, for checking in from time to time to see if I needed anything. I hope to go back!

I had a wonderful time at somewhere west! Definitely a great place to stay with family or friends. The staff is amazing and the chef made every meal with love. The bartender was also so attentive and friendly, she was also a great DJ and kept the vibe going!

I'm sitting in Montego Bay watching my best friend talk to strangers and all I want is to go back to Somewhere. I'm torn. Part of me wants to keep is magical place to myself, but money rules the world. I had the greatest time at your home. Thank you for allowing me to be in the presence of such lovely and kind people. I feel like I should have paid way more. I will be back!

This place is so awesome I have been there 3 times and I’m going back again! The host Angela is awesome and the staff on site Adrian and Tanisha are perfect. Everyone there is friendly and they will go out of their way to make you happy and comfortable. I have stayed in 3/4 rooms so far and each one has its own lil cute style. They are always sparkling clean and the ocean breeze comes right through your doors/windows - when open (your choice). The bar/restaurant connected has delish food and the drinks are yummy. The pool is really my favorite place to hang out when I’m there. It’s literally on the edge of the ocean - breathtaking!!! They can set you up for excursions or you can totally hang on the property for the day. I have gone into the local village and met some cool and friendly locals as well. They have great food/activities just a walk/drive or scooter down the road. I can’t recommend this place enough. And did I forget to mention how reasonable the prices are?!? I will never stay at a resort again!

If you want to disconnect, slow down, listen to the waves crash and wake up slow to a view of nothing but the gorgeous blue water of the Caribbean, then this is the place for you! This villa will make you feel like you are camping on an island without having to sacrifice a nice bed and hot shower. The outdoor shower is very nice with an artistic touch and the sound of the waves in the morning made us very happy. This property has one main house and 2 villas. We had friends meet us who stayed in the second villa so it was nice to have a private beach to ourselves. The grass is so soft to walk on in the yard and the tropical fruit trees were gorgeous to look at. The pro to staying here is that it’s off the beaten path and there are no tourists near by to annoy you. This place is in a local village so not for those who are easily bothered by barking dogs or noise. The noise did not bother us because I would rather deal with that over crowded resorts and being hustled by tourists companies. Almost forgot to mention the sunsets, you can’t get a better sunset than this part of the island. The team who manages this place is very knowledgeable about the area and were a delight to be around!

A very nicely located property. It doesn't get any better than this. When you wake up in the morning, you are greeted by the sea, your own beach and the sea air. The bed and all the equipment are great and neat. We felt very comfortable and also very safe. The communication and the collection at the airport were flawless. We thank you and will definitely see you again when we visit Jamaica.

From the time we arrived at Horizon Cottage the service from the staff and the owner were amazing. The Cottage is as beautiful as advertised and the setting is to die for. Omar, Rachel and Laga provided top notch service during our whole stay. This is a 5 star group of staff at Horizon. If you plan to visit Horizon you must have Laga cook for you. His food is authentic and amazing, it will rival any restaurant. The Cottages are clean well kept and offer amazing views of the Caribbean Sea. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets and amazing mornings at the Cottage. Theirs nothing like beach access right off the front porch.

Rustic cottage in an off beaten track area of Jamaica. Absolutely perfect for us. So lovely! It's for those that want out of the hubbub of resorts. It's as described and in a classic Jamaican seaside village. There is all the noises and sounds one would want to hear when living locally off of a main road. A staycation of sorts - food from the market, lazy days on a hammock.... Wooden cottage life. Seaside at your door and sometimes on your porch ;)

This place is a dream, everything you need for a relaxing getaway. The whole experience was made simple with the fast responses and friendly help of the Horizon Cottage airbnb community. I can't recommend this place enough. Nicole was in communication the whole time and gave lighting fast responses if I ever had questions. Once we arrived we were greeted by Omar, who was there to get us to and from the airport and any other driving as needed. He was monumental in our vacation experience and had recommendations for every detail we had in mind for our Jamaican experience. Another friendly face was Hopi who was there to help keep the place fresh and clean. We saw her every morning and evening and really appreciate all that she did. This place was exactly what we were looking for. It was beautiful and rustic and full of personal touches. We kayaked during the day and even played scrabble at night with a beautiful sunset in the background. Peaceful is how I would describe this location. We are thankful for our experience in Jamaica and know much of it was due to having such an amazing Airbnb and staff that created such a welcoming and relaxing environment. 💚💛🖤

We came to Mel's looking for an experience in Jamaica away from the resorts and tourist areas that would give us a chance to connect with the people and the realness of Jamaica. And it is exactly what we received and more. Everyone on the mountain was very friendly and welcoming to us. Mel was very hospitable and provided us with delicious food and a great place to stay. We are leaving the mountain feeling very refreshed, restored. We look forward to coming back!

A wonderfully experience of what Jamaica has to offer off the beaten path. Mel is an amazing cook, Rowan is a professional driver (especially driving up the mountain with many potholes), Adrian is very knowledgeable and a kind tour guide, and the other guests were nice to get to know. The accommodations are welcoming and clean. When we return, we will head straight to Mel’s to explore the outstanding lands and waters. Such a memorable experience that you don’t want to miss!

We fell in love. What else to say? We wanted to stay a week and extended our stay. The perfect place to hang out if you like the bush. If you wanna do some exercise you can hike down the mountain to bluefields beach or just further up. Or you just hang out as we did. We felt like being part of Mel's family. So if you want the real Jamaican experience and you are not afraid of cold showers and some bugs around than that is your place to be. But remeber: you better bring more time so that you can extend your stay...

Mel is the most wonderful host, her place is a perfect retreat to relax, enjoy Jamaica and unwind. I would recommend to any traveller looking for a spot off the beaten path, and away from the tourist grind. A little gem of Jamaica :)

My 13 year old daughter and I had a fantastic stay at Mel's! I highly recommend this beautiful cottage to anyone who would like to get away from it all. Imagine waking up to birds singing, have a coffee in the hammock while watching the hummingbirds fly from flower to flower. The cottage is so pretty, it is clean and the bed is really comfortable. We always felt safe in the cottage and in the area. Mel and her family are really friendly and helpful! Mel cooked both breakfast and dinner for us and she is such a great cook! She also walked us "as a family" as she put it, to watch a beautiful sunset one evening, and helped us book the driver when we wanted to go somewhere, even helped us book our next stay on our trip. I really appreciate the effort put into making sure we had everything we needed, and making us feel at home. Don't miss out on this piece of paradise! The experience honestly left me speachless! We are hoping to return soon, looking forward to see if the massagebusiness will be up and running by then!

Just go ahead, do yourself a favor, and book this amazing place. The space is fantastic, comfortable, and clean. You have privacy and 2 balconies to choose from! We walked in to fresh flowers in the bedroom and bathroom and Mel’s bright shining personality and presence. She takes hospitality to the next level and makes you feel comfortable and cared for. Her cooking is amazing as well and she happily accommodated our plant based diet— definitely plan on a dinner and breakfast here! The journey up the mountain is an adventure with an absolutely breathtaking view and there is plenty to do in the area, or you can just relax in the hammock and look at Mel’s gorgeous garden. Even the cats are perfect... Mel also helped us change a tire, and then came all the way to the nearest city to bring us a phone we left up on the mountain. I think she might be an actual angel. Thank you Mel, we hope to see you again!

This was paradise. There are many of your own private elegant patio areas. Artistic layout was key. We will be back for sure.

The many others who have written that the pictures do not do the house at Neptune Cove justice, are actually understating it. The place is incredible. Waking up to the view over the cove every morning is pretty spectacular, and the gazebo area is perfect for relaxing. You won’t be disappointed. We are looking forward to coming back.

Unique and beautiful space on the cliffs with a true access to the water where you can snorkel and meet colorful fishes, octopus, sea stars and urchins, and even murena eel. There was a review about uncomfortable beds and I worried about it, but I found the beds were comfy. It was comfortable temperature in the house despite luck of the AC but it was only 25-27C outside. There were jellies in the water, so buy vinegar in the minimart and bring cortisol cream. My son had very mild rushes and they went away next day. My girl and I swam in the tights and long sleeves and we were ok (we swam a lot). Everything is much more expensive than I expected. Dinners for 4 were 200 at Ivans and Pushcart. It was ok, not to die for. We liked beach and cafe at skylark (fish sandwich and watermelon cocktails). Taxi for 5 min walk distance was 6 dollars, to 7 mile beach 30 round trip. We walked to the restaurants, even at night, it was safe. Do try jerk chicken in the koolvibes. 5 min walk from home, very good.

This is our second time staying, and we will definitely be back again. You can't beat this beautiful view of the water, and the sound of the waves crashing at night is awesome. Love the outdoor set-up! :)

This apartment is a little gem - clean with lots of space and a calmness away from the hustle and bustle of the West End and Beaches if you want a quieter Negril experience. I stayed for 12 nights and the housekeeper came and tidied, changed the sheets and towels to which was so helpful. Chevanese was great, very responsive and the little touches such as the biscuits, teas, etc. were very welcome! You will definitely be taken care of when you chose to stay at Chevanese and Nkeche's place!

My stay at Chevanese & Nkeche’s place was great. The apartment is as how you see it on the photos it so beautiful and clean. It’s a stone throw away from all of local Negril hotspots. She was such a great host she gave me directions straight until I reach the apartment. Chevanese was there to answer the phone when ever I need her she calls to check in on you see how your doing. Such a lovely host & home.

Review Let me start by saying that aside from the house itself, Chevanese’s hospitality alone is enough to book this air bnb. She was very welcoming and accommodating even when I had a late check-in time. She had Jamaican snacks in the kitchen for us and there was a blow dryer, toiletries, hangers, iron, etc. available to us in the home. The home itself is gorgeous! Extremely spacious, beautifully decorated, and the AC was a nice escape from the heat outside. On that note, be aware that the AC WORKS BRILLIANTLY so wear long pajamas if you get cold easily or wait until the house gets cool and then turn the AC off. We felt very safe because the property is gated and the neighborhood is fairly quiet apart from the neighbor’s annoying barking dogs who would throw a fit occasionally. All in all, my sister and I throughly enjoyed our stay at Chevanese’s place and will gladly stay there again for our next visit to Negril !

Beach access in mere feet to the back of the property, four large bedrooms with three baths, two verandas, a cook, daily cleaning and laundry service, onsite bar and beach chairs, several options for massage within feet, beach front bars and restaurants in walking distance, access to main road for taxis into town/ West End/ local attractions, and a scenic view await you at this house! I travelled with my entire family and we felt so at home and comfortable in the space. The staff are amazing and really make this place a delight and joy to be in: Debra (Host) responded quickly with any communication I sent, Angie's (Cook) thoughtful and delightful cooking, cleaning, and advice made an easeful stay, Rasta Dave's (Bartender) honest and vibrant spirit kept us company during the entire stay, and the on-site security and grounds men keep the place in great shape and secure. I would highly recommend having Angie cook a few meals for you as she personalized ours. Rasta Dave accompanied us to a concert we were going to and made sure we were always good. This property is full of wonderful surpises. We enjoyed our stay so much, we have already been planning our return.

Debra was very quick with response & very helpful. The house is in great location on a beach. Natasha cooked a very good dinner for seven of us. We had a great time!

Amazing stay at Negril’s 7 mile beach. - Exceptional location, literally almost on the beach - Outstanding service and value: there is staff on-site to cook and clean the place. Angie cooked us breakfast, lunch and dinner several days and the food was plainly amazing. They even go with you to buy food, recommend you things and bargain on your behalf - Incredibly welcoming staff: all the staff was surprisingly welcoming and nice to us We felt at home, safe and enjoyed the best holidays one could hope for. There is so much to say about our stay with Debra, she was an absolutely fantastic host. This was my first ever air bnb experience and I could not have been happier. She was very helpful with local tips and took us to an amazing coffee shop just down the road from her house. We went to Jamaica to go to a wedding that would be on beaches resort (10 min beach walk from Debs place) and I can guarantee that the majority of people who stayed on that resort would have much rather been at Debra's house. We had a true jamaican experience. We enjoyed relaxing on the very well kept beach. Our bartender Dave raked the sand out where we typically sat every morning, he also kept us well hydrated with red stripes from the bar at an awesome price. We weren't exactly prepared for Jamaica and did not bring enough actual cash with us and Deb was kind enough to let us run the beach bar tab through our cards at the front office. Angie cleaned every morning and made fantastic breakfast food as well as dinner. Both were amazing and 100x better than the food we ate on beaches resort for my friends wedding. Patrick made us an amazing jerk chicken on the grill and also built us a very nice bonfire on the beach. Paul was an awesome security guard as well as the weekend security Roman. Last but not least I have to talk about Deb! Honestly by the time we were getting ready to leave we wanted to bring Deb with us. She honestly is one of the nicest, genuine people I have ever met. We invited her to hang with us the first day we were there, and within a few minutes you probably would have thought that Deb was just a part of group! She was a very enjoyable person to hang out with, with that being said I am 100 percent certain that had we wanted it to be just us out there that it would have been. So if you are looking for a private getaway don't let us inviting her to hang with us scare you away. She was an amazing host, an all around great person, and someone I would consider my friend! If you want the real experience, this is it. Don't spend 3 times what it cost to stay at a 4 bedroom house to stay in a resort room, you will regret it. Stay here and get a taste of the real experience with the comfort of security at night, Dave the bartender during the day, amazing food from Angie, and life changing experiences with our amazing host and friend Debra.

Native Son has a perfect location on Negril's splendid 7-mile beach. The villa is inviting and comfortable ; with appealing decor, furnishings, and special touches, such as beach towels, outdoor dining facilities, and facial tissue in every room. The staff is warm, friendly, and accommodating, available from 9 to 5 and providing breakfast and dinner, as requested, throughout our stay. We really enjoyed Angie's cooking! During the first two nights of our stay, the music from the bar next door was disturbing. Without any prompting from us, Debra tackled the problem right away and got the noise reduced to a comfortable level. Negril, however, prides itself on being "the capital of casual" - musical entertainment on the beach being a part of that. If you're looking for the essence of the Jamaican beach experience Native Son/ Sea Sand Eco Villas may be just the place for you.

Their place is nice & big, very secured, great location, easy access to everything, you can walk to just about any place, taxi 1-1.50 Jamaica money, they run regularly.

All is well!

We had 14 days at sunshine village the perfect spot to go to the beach. (10-15min by foot) Cher is super friendly and anwers very quick. Wifi is strong and never had problems with the connection.

Great little stop fairly close to the strip. It’s clean and homey and includes WiFi. The host is quick to respond to messages and her assistant Barbara was so patient with us when we arrived later than expected to check in due to transportation issues. Its a great little find.

Everything was perfect! Yvonne was an amazing host, the location was perfect with the supermarket directly downstairs where you can also get taxis. The place is located 5mins walk from the beach and downtown. The wifi was excellent, a/c was so nice to have. I felt very safe as there was security as well as cameras. This place beats a hotel room anyday and gives you even greater value for your money. Having the kitchen to cook was one of my favorite amenities. This place was super clean n cozy. I almost didn't want to write a review so I can keep this secret gem to myself. 10 out of 10. Would definately return! Thank you so much C & T for the great hospitality and making my vacation a memorable and relaxing one. No problems ere mon. Highly recommend this place.

My mother and I had a wonderful stay at Chers place ! The space was very clean, all amenities listed were stocked, and each room truly reflected the photos. The A/C was excellent, powerful wifi, and we were able to enjoy a movie on the Smart TV. The location is great for more of a local experience, and is still very close to tourist attractions (5-7min taxi ride to Seven mile beach). The Hi-Lo grocery store located at the bottom of the complex was a huge convenience, as well as the fresh fruit stands, and commercial bank. The other residents in the complex are very friendly and helpful with any inquiries. Chers temporary host, Renee, was wonderful with Check in/Check out and all of our questions; she was very knowledgeable on the surrounding area and we enjoyed getting to know her. Just a few things to be mindful of are 1. Bug spray (theres a few mosquitoes in the evening) 2. Keep all snacks very tightly sealed or refrigerated to prevent ants. Overall we had a great stay and highly recommend Chers place!

The apartment is ideally located for accessing both the West End (the cliffs, lighthouse, Rick's Cafe etc) and the beach (7-mile, Bourbon Beach, Woodstock, M'ville etc) - both are a $150JA taxi ride away. There is a large supermarket within the immediate vicinity and the famous 'Corner Bar' is a 5-min walk away, for reasonably-priced local meals. Downtown is an 8-min walk away, for more supermarkets, the pharmacy, banks, Burger King, bakeries etc. Access to the complex is via a locked gate and there is night security - my sister and I felt completely safe coming and going at all times of day and night during our 2-week stay. Although the main complex is in need of some TLC, the actual apartment itself is bright, airy and cosy. The photos are accurate, the apartment is a good, functional space with everything you need to be comfortable during your stay. We had some issues with the AC and the TV but Cher, the host, was excellent in responding speedily and resolving things. Having stayed at various places within Negril, from AIs to smaller hotels to other apartments, I have to say this apartment was really good value and in the perfect location - I'll definitely be returning!

This is the place. I'll return again and again. Super chill vibes suited more toward romantic or solo travel. But I was with my mom and we had a grand time! Love the staff, food, dogs, and attentive owner. Love the oceans, cliffs, and property. Everyone who comes 'round is family. It's sweet. A private resort without the price tag. Other than patronizing a lodging business owned by a native Jamaican for the obvious benefit of doing so, I cannot name another reason to stay anywhere but Somewhere West while in Negril.

Somewhere West is the perfect place for a honeymoon in Jamaica! The house was great, the pool was even better and the ocean view is indescribable. The Airbnb pictures are great, but they don’t fully translate the beauty of this place, you have to check it out for yourself. Communication was excellent with Johanna and Angela is a nice person who made us very comfortable. The working staff is also very kind and helpful. Everywhere you look you can see amazing natural beauty and great taste in home design. This was by far the best place in Jamaica for me and my wife.

This is one of the best Airbnbs I have ever stayed in! Being outside town should not deter you, although we did end up paying a fair amount in taxi fares. But if you are looking for a quiet, clean, peaceful stay near Negril with the kindest staff, the coolest saltwater pool on the edge of the ocean cliffs, and a lovely bar/restaurant overlooking magical sunsets, this is the place for you.

A great place to stay. I thought this location had an ocean view but it doesn’t. Other than that it was a perfect location and I will stay again. Host communication was perfect. WiFi very strong.

I'm so taken away by how beautiful & comfortable Dorians home was..It was so much better than what the pictures portrayed.. Everything a home required was provided and it made the stay stress free. The backyard garden view was picturesque ....Lee the house manager was very accommodating and make his self available at all times..

This place was conveniently located in a neighbourhood shared by many longer term vacationers and gave you an experience with a local flare. It was safe and clean with a comfortable bed and plenty of light and airflow. The yard was surrounded with fruit trees and set back from the road. The sunsets and snorkelling in the caves at Peewees was delightful. Two doors down was a locals restaurant and bar Jackie’s and she was indeed a great cook. Our host David went above and beyond to help us have a pleasant stay. Always easily available to communicate yet never intrusive. He is an extremely polite and caring individual. We were fortunate he had a car during some of our 10 day stay and he took us to some amazing places. I would definitely recommend it as an outstanding value at a low cost. My only regret is I wish I stayed longer.

David is a fantastic host. Communication is very good and his accommodation is at high level. Spacious, clean, up-to-date and complete. Location is very good, close to ocean and not in the midst of all the hotels. We liked that a lot and would absolutely recommend David's listing. Lots of value for your money.

This place is a genuine hidden gem. Nothing but positive things to say. Excellent location close to loads of great local food spots and all the cool hotels in Negril. The amount of help and local advice you get from David alone is worth it. He’s an extremely thoughtful host and always available for advice. The room itself is extremely clean and secure. Highly recommend eating breakfast next door at Jackie’s.

David was beyond amazing throughout our stay. He gave us step by step directions to find the property since it was our first time driving to Negril... His response time via text or call was always prompt and timely..The beach is roughly a 5 minute drive from the studio, with plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from.. Honestly can’t wait to go back, everything was ideal!

Mel's botanical retreat is breathtaking!!! Mel and Kiara, her daughter, welcomed us as warmly as it could be to their extraordinary home in the hills of kentucky. Although I had a rough start with a delayed flight and baggage, mel helped me as much as she could, which I am very thankful for. Not that she is only the best cook (all organic fruits and vegetables from the garden), she has such a warm heart and you would miss out a real jamaican experience if you are not going there. If you want to have a relaxing time outside of crowded and busy touristy places thats THE PLACE to go!!!

Absolutely the best AirBnb we've ever stayed at. Mel is incredibly kind and her place is gorgeous. The food was amazing. Meeting Mel's family and exploring the local community gave us a view into Jamaica that one would never get from a resort or hostel. The advice we got was invaluable. We really have nothing but positive things to say. Keep in mind that the drive up is tricky (don't do it at night for the first time!) but totally doable, and the shower is a simple outdoor one, but if those are not deal-breakers (and they really really shouldn't be) do not hesitate to book right away. You will absolutely not regret it! Thanks for everything Mel

Mel’s place is pure paradise, and she is a wonderful host. The three days we spent on her property were bliss, we came home feeling completely renewed and relaxed. I would encourage anyone to stay here and also enjoy the delicious meals that are offered. The breakfast and dinner are outstanding. I’d also advise guests to do the beach hike with Adrian, a wonderful way to get to know the surroundings and goings on at the farm. Thank you again also to Nicky and Ron for their amazing help cooking and driving during our stay, you are the best! A stop here is a must! Thanks again Mel!

The Blue Mahoe at Mel's Botanical Retreat was the perfect getaway, an excellent off the grid "glamping" experience! The sunset view from the patio was incredible! We loved it and we look forward to visiting again in the future. Everyone we met there was very friendly and we felt safe. We never locked the door during our four night stay. Mel is an excellent host and cook! Definitely get her meal plan and do Adrian's jerk chicken as well. All of the food we ate at Mel's was very good! We also enjoyed hiking down the mountain with Adrian to go for a swim at Bluefields Beach. On the way down he told us about the ways locals use the many plants that grow in the area. The hike took a few hours. We had Omar's jerk chicken after the swim and that was really good too! We arranged for Rowan to be our driver for several trips. He's a very good driver (this is coming from a very critical former commercial driver's license instructor). We originally planned to rent a car and drive ourselves, but we changed our plan about a week before the trip and I'm glad we did. Drivers in Jamaica are kind of crazy. We were able to see a lot more since we didn't have to drive and I could tell we were in good hands with Rowan. Also, the mountain road is rough and narrow with many blind curves and hairpin turns.

Do not hesitate to stay here! My boyfriend and I stayed in 2 other places before arriving at Mel’s place & it was by far our favorite. We just wished we had stayed longer!

This was our second year visiting as we loved it so much the year before. Literally one of our favorite places in the world. Mel and company are so friendly, hospitable and just a pleasure to be around. We love the communal dinners that were added this year. It’s a great way to meet other like-minded travels in a Jamaican paradise. Plus Mel’s cooking is amazing! As always the space is a beautiful botanical dream with so many places to explore. Be sure to take a few trips to see other parts of Jamaica. And if you can take the hike to the beach. It’s worth it. The Blue Mahoe provided the best sleep we’ve ever had and we are being the year rejuvenated and relaxed. Can’t wait to return next year!
