Places to stay in Sheffield
Nestled high in the beautiful Saddleworth hills, enjoy a taste of Tiny House living in a peaceful woodland setting all to yourself. If you’re looking for a bolt-hole, this is it! Although rural, the cabin is nearby to the picturesque villages of Uppermill, Diggle, Dobcross and Delph, all with essential amenities and transport links with the Peak District and Pennine hills on our doorstep. For singles, couples or young families (one child under 12yrs).
Welcome! UPDATE: I’ve taken the precaution to close the cabin to all guests due to the current coronavirus situation. I will be monitoring this as time goes on and will update upcoming guests in April and May nearer to the time of their stay. UPDATE: Cleanliness and hygiene has always been a priority for all of our guests but in light of the current coronavirus situation, I’ve taken the extra precautions to deep clean between each booking. This means an extra hour to ensure every inch of the cabin is disinfected and sterile for your safety. Therefore check in is now from 3pm. I’d also like to reassure guests that at the cabin you are isolated from other people and can self-check in so that you don’t meet the host if you prefer. Also please note that the cabin has been fully redecorated and has a brand new luxury bed and Eve hybrid mattress. Updated photos to follow! Please read the listing description throughly before booking or enquiring. *The cabin has a minimum two night stay* We have a lovely and unique tiny house experience but it may not be for everyone! Please ask if unsure, I’m very happy to help. The cabin has all the facilities to make you feel comfortable and perfectly at home. A perfect opportunity to reconnect with nature and a peaceful place to relax and unwind in a secluded and private woodland setting. You will have total privacy and seclusion at the cabin. Within 30 acres of privately owned land, it is a real retreat from the general noise and stresses of everyday life. You might just have the best night’s sleep you’ve ever had! The cabin's living/ bedroom has a large comfortable double sofa bed and ensuite with double shower. All linens, towels, gowns and slippers are included for your use. The kitchen/dining area has a breakfast bar, toaster, mini-fridge, microwave, kettle, tea/coffee/sugar/sweeteners etc. Cafetière, teapot, pizza plate, knife set, chopping board, cutlery, bottle opener, cheese slicer, microwave, omelette maker and egg boiler. PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO COOKER OR HOB. To cook is a microwave or bbq. Smart TV with some analogue channels and also tons of DVDs for your use. PLEASE NOTE - we’ve given up on WiFi for moment as it’s so unreliable. Why not log out for a while and enjoy real HD life in the countryside:) Help yourself to enjoy a wide selection of card and board games or books to read. With some of your favourite tunes on the Bluetooth speaker, cuddle up with a hot chocolate or glass of wine and enjoy a restful, cosy, lazy time in the woods. There is also a Weber bbq, log burning Chiminea and seating on the outdoor deck area overlooking a stunning view of the valley. There are wild pheasants, partridges, hares, rabbits, squirrels, badgers, hedgehogs, wood pigeons, kestrels, Kites, Sparrow Hawks and owls who live and forage in the woods and surrounding areas. We also have our own flock of chickens and ducks who may join you for some breakfast entertainment;) During the Spring we hatch and raise new ducklings and chicks to keep things fun, guests are most welcome to meet them when they hatch. We also have sheep and our own horses in adjacent fields . Feel free to give them a pat but please DO NOT feed the horses as they are on a special diet. Also we ask guests not to enter the field with the horses. They are large animals so youngsters should be supervised by an adult at all times.
Located in a tiny and beautiful rural hamlet high in the Saddleworth hills. We are perfectly situated on the Pennine bridleway for cyclists, walkers and horse riders - a very popular choice for those travelling this amazing route. There are two delightful local pubs only 10- 15 mins walk away, serving great pub grub and local ales. Comfortable seating, roaring fires and beer gardens. Proper Yorkshire hospitality! Its about a 25 min walk to Uppermill ( the largest village in Saddleworth). A lively village with lots of boutiques, gift shops, cafes, wine bars, pubs, restaurants and a great tourist information centre at the Saddleworth museum. To Diggle, it’s a 15-20 min walk down the hill to the village. Great ice-cream at Grandpa Greenes and lovely canal walks to Uppermill. There is a Tesco supermarket 10 mins drive away in Greenfield.
  • Amazing view, very clean but most importantly a very friendly host!

  • Our stay at Nic's tiny house was beyond amazing. Check in was a breeze with effective communication. The house was spectacularly clean and with perfect views. We particularly enjoyed the runner ducks over breakfast! Nic had impeccable knowledge of the local area. Highly recommend the pots and pans walk! Although a little breezy. The tiny house has all the little amenities one needs for a quiet getaway. There are plenty of board and card games available. We spent hours playing chess and looking over the view. Don't hesitate to book this perfect getaway, hopefully we will be back one day.

  • Such a lovely little cabin. We had a really relaxing time. There is loads to do nearby and pubs within walking distance. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

  • Nic was a great host, responds quickly and you can tell is such a nice genuine person. The accommodation it self was so special and such a great find. We didnt have the best weather but I think that made it even more special hearing the rain and wind but staying super cosy in the hut, absolutely brilliant. The views are pretty spectacular and fully recommend sitting with a cup of tea just looking out in the morning. We went to many of the places Nic suggests and all were lovely, great area for a couple of drinks and taxis easy to get as well. The peasant woke us up in the morning which I loved especially the nosey chickens and ducks.

  • This was our second stay at Rosie's. We had a great stay again. Its a stylish flat with plenty of room, and everything we needed for an overnight stay. Helpful information about the locality is provided. Lots of interesting places to eat and drink within walking distance. Thank you Rosie.

    Jane2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Rosie's apartment for one night as I was attending a concert in the area that evening. But nonetheless I was made to feel very welcome - the apartment is spacious but cosy, plenty of natural light and quiet enough not to really be aware that Rosie and her family live 'upstairs'. The check-in details were simple to follow too. It's a short 10 minute bus ride from Sheffield train station - ideal! AND there are plenty of local amenities and places to eat as well.

    Paul2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The most amazing host and the most beautiful space. A week of retreat from building works. Rosie couldn’t have made us more welcome. Fabulous!

    Tiffany2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great Airbnb in a fab location for both Ecclesall Road and the city Center. Fit 4 in perfectly, would come again if needing a place to stay in Sheffield

    Sophie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay here. The flat is spacious and very stylish. We couldn’t fault our experience.

    Aaron2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place, exactly as described, but with plenty of thoughtful extra touches. Rosie suggested some great places for us to eat, was an excellent communicator, and the flat was extremely clean and comfy. We had a double air bed, and a double futon, and extra blankets and storage heaters kept us nice and warm. Would definitely recommend.

    Jenifer2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful little apartment with all you need for a relaxing couple of nights. Rosie was the perfect host and totally flexible around our awkward needs and circumstances. Gorgeous flat and lovely garden view!

This is is the converted coach-house and wash-house attached to a fine old Victorian home built in the 1860's. There is a separate entrance for your accommodation so you are in your own private space. We are in the heart of Nether Edge close to local shops, cafes and a traditional local pub. There are frequent buses into town and out into the peak district. This is what you get: Upstairs double bedroom Downstairs bed/sitting room (with an extra bed on platform above). Brand new shower room (installed 2018) with unlimited mains pressure hot water. Newly fitted kitchen. Private off street parking (ample space for 2 cars). Secure bicycle storage. Small outside seating area. Cereals/milk/fruit/tea/coffee/juice for breakfast. The Old Coach House is a great space for two or three people. But it can sleep as many as five or six. If you need the extra beds, the living room can become a second bedroom with two double beds (one king-size double sofa bed, plus one small double on raised platform). You'll need to be good friends though. Two of the beds are in the same room. And you will all be sharing the one bathroom and the small kitchen. The first double bedroom is the old hayloft of the coach-house. Very light and spacious with one window overlooking our courtyard and another overlooking the garden. The floor is wooden. The ceilings are sloping and there are old wooden beams and a big desk. But the main feature of the room is the super-king size bed. The frame is hand crafted from timber reclaimed from an old Yorkshire mill. The mattress is pocket sprung. Medium firm. All the bedding is 100 % cotton and there's a cosy duck feather and down quilt. The second double bedroom (family room) is downstairs. It is the old wash-house. A very characterful room with exposed brickwork, an old solid-fuel iron cooking range and high sloping ceiling. If you are only booking for two guests, this room becomes your living room with sofa, armchair and coffee table. If you are a larger party, there will be one king size sofa bed in this room. Then on a raised platform, an additional small double bed. (4ft). Ideal for a single person or two children. This bed is accessed up a steep narrow staircase. (Mind your head!). There's a little seating area outside - just for you! There's a really good wi-fi signal and high speed internet connection. The Old Coach House has its own wi-fi access point to a Virgin Media 200 Mbps fibre-optic broadband connection. There are ethernet sockets in each bedroom if you prefer to have a wired connection. In each bedroom you have a Smart TV with HD Freeview channels and full internet connectivity for BBC iPlayer, All4, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Now TV etc (you need to bring your own account details to log on to subscription services). Downstairs there's a Cambridge Audio wireless loudspeaker so you can play your own music from a phone or tablet. In the kitchen you have an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge freezer, and washer dryer. You get a range of cereal, muesli, juice, fresh fruit, real coffee, teas and milk so that you can make your own breakfast. There are two cafes very close by if you want to go out for breakfast. And there's a local bakery just round the corner selling fresh bread. For meals later in the day there's traditional pub food at the nearby Byron House pub. And a multitude of different eating places and local pubs a short walk away. If you need a travel cot or high chair, do ask, we can usually let you borrow ours. The Old Coach House has it's own independent gas central heating and unlimited hot water. (new boiler fitted 2017). All bedding is 100% cotton. And there are plenty of towels - no need to bring your own. If you are coming by bicycle (or bringing a bicycle) you are welcome to use our spacious locked bike shed. We'd rather you didn't put your bikes in The Old Coach House.
Nether Edge is 1.8 miles from Sheffield city centre and railway station. It is close to both the University of Sheffield and the Sheffield Hallam University and close to the main teaching hospitals. There are frequent buses to town. There are lots of trees round here and big old stone-built houses. There are plenty of cafes and pubs within walking distance. Indeed two cafes and a pub on our very own street. There's a Sainsbury's Local store and an Indian take-away just round the corner. And a Tesco Local and Pizza Hut ten minutes walk away. We are 2 miles away from the Peak District national park. A short drive or local bus journey from Chatsworth House and Bakewell.

The smaller of the two 18th century conversions, the Wash house being the other, but no less charming. Beautifully designed & warmly welcoming - a little boho bolt hole. Double bed is on a sleeping platform. Wet room, & kitchen facilities including microwave, toaster & kettle with access to fridge and freezer. Use of courtyard and garden and new this year our cosy garden room with record player, books and seats with sheepskin throws to chill out in.
Historic conversions within the wild beauty of the Peak District.
Wirksworth is a vibrant, arty market town with great pubs and restaurants. It boasts a number of independent shops including vintage and antique shops, delis and coffee shops. Within 2 minutes of open countryside.
  • Excellent little bolt hole in the beautiful Wirksworth. Nice touches like milk, chocolate and cereal and great advice about the best places in the town. Highly recommended.

  • Wow. Where to start? Sue and Steve we’re away whilst we stayed (would love to meet you both next time!), so we were looked after by Steve’s daughter, Harriet, who was absolutely lovely. She really took care of us and made us feel very at home. On a particularly rainy evening, she lent us a DVD so we could curl up with a bottle of wine, out of the rain! We were so grateful! The minute you open the chunky gate to the property’s garden, you are completely blown away by what I refer to as - The Secret Garden. It’s a garden of my dreams, alive with beautiful plants, antiques and vintage charm. Up some steps, there’s even more garden and it doesn’t disappoint. It’s even given us some inspiration for our own garden! The outhouse is beautiful, the record player, book selection and decor really allows you to have your own private little space away from the world. The Brew House itself is stunning. A teeny tiny cottage which is so cosy. Even though Storm Dennis tried to put a dampener on things, we still felt so relaxed. The Brew House is a gorgeous vintage blot hole and we loved having a record player. We brought our own records but there was also a lovely selection there too! The bed was comfortable and warm, the bathroom is exactly what we needed. There were some lovely touches such as the soap, chocolates, coffee, biscuits and milk supplied, which we were very grateful for. Locally, you HAVE to visit The Feather Star! A stunning micro pub with delicious real ales, records to browse and buy and it was full of interesting and kind people who were all willing to have a chat. Everywhere is dog friendly which was great for us as we’d left our dog with family - it gave us the perfect opportunity to stroke ALL of the dogs! We particularly enjoyed the Hope and Anchor pub who served us a wonderful meal (far beyond what you’d expect from a pub!). We loved Mercia, which is just around the corner and we ended up having breakfast there most mornings! We’re vegetarian and they did a wonderful veggie breakfast!! The Heritage Museum is also worth a visit for those of you who enjoy local history! Le Minstrel gave us one of our favourite meals too, ask to sit downstairs as the chic decor is really pretty and the wine selection is perfect! The StarDisc is lovely - would highly recommend a walk up to it. The views are breathtaking! Only a stones throw away are the beautiful Cromford and Matlock, which we visited for walking and Scarthin Books is an absolute MUST for any book lovers! I honestly can’t recommend The Brew House more, it’s given us one of the best trips away we’ve ever had! Huge thank you to Sue, Steve and Harriet for allowing us to stay and giving us lots of wonderful memories! Xxx

  • We loved the cosy& quirky Brew House (and the orangutan in the garden!). We were made to feel very welcome& were showed/told us everything we needed to know on arrival. The bed was very comfy& there were some special touches which were appreciated (including some very tasty chocolates!). We really liked Wirksworth itself - a very nice town with great places to eat& drink & with very friendly people :)

  • Thank you for providing us with a wonderful stay. Steve and Sue are superb hosts & full of information on what is on offer in and around the village. The grounds are beautiful, even in the middle of winter, we had a very relaxing evening in the garden room before going out to dinner. We’ve never had as much fun getting in and out of bed since our childhood. All the best Ian & Sheila.

  • Fantastic little place right in the heart of Wirksworth! Steve was so friendly and accommodating - he gave us lots of tips about the area for our stay which really helped us make the most of our time there! We loved having a drink and listening to music in the cosy snug! We will definitely be staying again!

    Amy2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • A very cute & cosy stay in the centre of Wirksworth. Steve is a brilliant host and makes you feel welcome straight away. He gave some brilliant tips for the local area and we immediately realised we should have stayed for more than one night!

We fell in love with the building for its historical significance and stylish interior. Apartments this good, in the centre of Sheffield, are a rarity. It owes its aesthetically pleasing architecture and art deco style to Sheffield's pre-war industrial prominence. It has been renovated for residential use to a high specification, ensuring you a cozy, enjoyable stay.

  • I chose Greg's place mainly because I used to live on Queen Street. I love the neighbourhood very much. It is close to city centre. Many restaurants, bars and supermarkets are around the corner. Greg's place is better than I imagined. There's a bus stop just right in front of the gate. Greg always replied quickly. We had a problem with heater. Greg and his colleague responded our needs quickly and provided a portable heater to us. They are really nice. My family and I enjoyed our stay here!

A large private room in our family home. It's only minutes away from tram link and bus stops with direct access (10-15 mins - subject to roadworks) to the City centre for the universities, theatres, shops, bars and train station. The gorgeous countryside of the Rivelin and Loxley valleys are only minutes away for walking, cycling and running. Further afield, the delights of the Peak District are easily accessible by car or by bus/train from the city. It's a well situated lovely relaxing space.
A very nice, good sized room with period features. There is a very comfy double bed, a desk and chair, great Wi-fi, a TV/DVD player (with Netflix), plenty of storage space and a window seat overlooking the garden. There are books/DVD's and lots of information leaflets in the room. There is also an iron, ironing board, hair dryer and fan in the room. The large bathroom is only 2 feet away from the bedroom and is shared with us in addition there is a downstairs toilet. There is a small private kitchenette area next to the bedroom where you can help yourself to tea/coffee/juice and cereals/toast/fruit etc, including a fridge, kettle and toaster. There is space within our garage for storing bikes etc Free offroad parking is also available if required
Malin Bridge is a suburb which lies approx 2.5 miles north west of the City centre, it is a typical area full of narrow Victorian streets but is also on the edge of the gorgeous countryside where the rivers Loxley and Rivelin meet, there are lots of walks and cycle routes straight from the doorstep - in fact part of the famous 2014 Tour de France route is within easy reach. Hillsborough Park is also close by which hosts a weekly Parkrun on Saturday mornings and next to the park is a very good Leisure centre/swimming pool. Hillsborough football stadium is also within easy walking distance. The splendour of the Peak district is easily accessible by car (Stanage edge 20 mins, Castleton/Edale 30 mins) there are also regular trains and buses from the city centre to the hope valley and Chatsworth etc. As the City Centre is approx 2.5 miles away and only takes 10-15 mins, we have the best of both worlds The local area isn't known for having a great cafe culture however there are plenty of reasonable places to eat and drink which we can give guidance on as well as lots of local facilities such as convenience stores, supermarkets, banks, hairdressers, petrol stations etc etc For shop-aholics Meadowhall is only a tram ride away and has over 260 retailers all under one roof.
  • Alan and Melanie's place is very cosy and stylish - exactly as depicted in the advert. I loved the idea of adapting a walk in wardrobe into a mini kitchenette- it made us feel comfortable and more independent . The house is perfectly located, both close to the city and the countryside, with only few minutes walk to Sheffield Rivelin Valley nature trail. Alan and Melanie were very responsive and helpful but at the same time very respectful of our privacy. It was a perfect stay and I would definitely reccomend them to anyone!

    Paulina2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed with Alan & Melanie overnight. First time in shared home. Check in was smooth, constant contact with hosts and warm greeting on arrival. Room was lovely and bed super comfy. It was a shared bathroom but never saw hosts so as if private. There was a cupboard coverted into a small kitchen with fridge, kettle, toaster & basic food stuffs for breakfast; a genius use of space. Great value for money, would stay again if ever in sheffield overnight.

  • Melanie and Alan are wonderful hosts and I can't even find words for this special and nicely decorated house. The room is so cosy, I already miss to sit at the window, watching the sunrise while sipping a coffee. The kitchenette is well equipment, the house very clean and only a three minutes walk away from the tram - perfect!

Update: We offer our apartment at non-profit prices; we want to support key workers, NHS staff, family members and those returning from abroad with a place to self-isolate. For your safety we are taking extra steps to ensure the apartment (incl all surfaces) is cleaned and sanitised according to government’s guidelines. The apartment is 100% self-check-in so you don't need to worry about social distancing at check-in. Its central location also makes it easy to receive food and other deliveries.
Situated conveniently between Sheffield city centre and the trendy Kelham Island area, this apartment is newly refurbished and finished to a very high standard. Although smaller, the furniture and soft furnishing are brand new and offer everything you need from a stay of a few nights up to a couple of weeks. Make yourself comfortable in this cosy apartment. Essentials such as iron, washing machine, a hair dryer and even dishwasher are provided as well as hotel-quality linen, towels and bedding. Relax in our super king size bed that can be separated into two singles or bring two more people and make use of the double-sized sofa bed in the living room.
The apartment is located in the prestigious West Bar development just over the road from the Sheffield Court (hence the name). So if you’re in the area on legal business, staying here really makes sense if you want the shortest commute to work imaginable. Staying here puts you in pole position to make the most of Sheffield’s newest and most exciting large-scale development. West Bar features a mix of office and leisure space, with bars, restaurants and cultural attractions aplenty. You can also easily reach many of the area’s other popular destinations from here. If you’re in Sheffield to check out Sheffield Hallam University or The University of Sheffield, stay here. So too if you’re catching a show or the snooker at the Crucible Theatre. The grounds of both Sheffield football teams can be easily accessed from here too, or if you like things at a slower pace, there are plenty of parks nearby, and the massive Meadowhall Shopping Centre is easily reached, ideal for those of you who are after some retail therapy. And slightly further afield, but only half an hour away, is the beautiful Peak District.

Our clean and spacious property is a stone's throw from Sheffield city centre and the Peak District National Park. Why not share coffee and cake in the cosy lounge? Dinner in the dining-kitchen? Morning tea in the garden? Feel free to make yourself at home in the shared spaces or retreat to your private room. Rich is looking forward to making your stay in Sheffield as welcoming and enjoyable as possible.
Your cosy single room is the perfect setting for relaxation during your time in Steel City. From your window you can look out across the city and let in the breeze. The comfy bed and duck-down duvet make for perfect hibernation, and the double glazing, central heating, and blackout curtains will keep things toasty and quiet. Travelling with others or after a little extra space? I also list a double room for rent! Why not check if that's available too? Make yourself at home during your stay, and feel free to ask any questions you have. I'm looking forward to meeting you.
The semi-detached brick house is built on a hill just outside the city centre. It is tastefully furnished and modern, having been built only in 2005. Despite its proximity to the city, the estate is quiet and you're never far from green space.

Come and stay in our stone-built Victorian house, 10 mins walk from the train station, easy walking distance from the city centre with good connections to the Peak District. Pretty garden. Martha the cat likes visitors!
Our home is spacious, light and comfortable. Your bedroom has a double bed, hanging space, a digital radio, and a comfy bed with an electric blanket. There are toiletries for you to use, and information about Sheffield to give you ideas if you're new to the city. We have Wifi throughout the house, and have Netflix connection we can connect you to.
We live just a few doors down from the beautiful Norfolk Park with gorgeous views across the city. You can walk to the city centre at a 15 minute stroll through a park. There's so much to see and do in Sheffield - we'd be happy to give advice about the best places to go. We also have guide books and maps to help you get around the city and surrounding countryside.

  • Lovely place. Great hosts. Room on road, so traffic noise is there, but not unusual or excessive in any way. Clean, comfortable, quirky. Massive living areas, so not the slightest bit claustrophobic. Perfect really :-)

This double room is in the house of an artist, in a quiet street and in walking distance from the universities and city centre. The house is full of character and provides a great base from which to explore Sheffield and the surrounding countryside.
The house is spacious shared just with the host and will particularly suit people who appreciate a quiet environment in a relatively central location.
The house is in a great location in the city. It is just a few minutes walk from the bustle of Abbeydale and London Roads, in the heart of the antiques quarter, yet on a very quiet street. Around the corner in the other direction is the leafy area of Nether Edge with a 15 minute walk to Hunters Bar and Ecclesall Road. Numerous convenience stores and independent coffee shops are within just a few minutes walk from the house and larger food shops a little further away. London Road is one of the best known areas for eating out in Sheffield at every budget.
  • Amazing hospitality from Helen in interesting circumstances! She was an absolute star and her house is so, so quiet and lovely. Plus there is her beautiful bold and calming art work. Definitely hoping to have an excuse to get to Sheffield again.

  • Helen was so welcoming and made me feel at home straight away! Lovely place to stay, the room was comfortable and cosy. I had everything I needed, thank you Helen!

    Michael2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Feels like a home away from home with all the paintings and cozy spaces. Helen is a really interesting person and I am glad that I chose her place to stay!

  • Beautiful home, comfortable space. The artists paintings adorn the space. Very clean.

    Megha2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • A very interesting artist's house (lots of paintings) and Helen is a friendly host. The accommodation is basic but comfortable and roomy. A good place to stay if you are happy with a shared bathroom and no tv, and if the location South of the City Centre but not too far from the Universities suits you.

    Roger2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely homely place, facilities all supplied and would definitely recommend as the host is really nice and welcoming

    Craig2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • My second visit to Helen's house. She's a great host, and wants you to enjoy your stay. She's a fab artist as well, with lots of her beautiful pictures around the house. I'd really recommend Helen's house if you're visiting Sheffield; it's an easy walk into the city centre.

The accommodation is spotlessly clean, warm and nicely decorated - very comfortable. Thanks again for a nice stay.

  • Great location, lovely and clean and also had toothpaste, shower gel and shampoo there which was helpful!

  • Very comfy and clean apartment in great location in Sheffield. Very simple check in process, and a really nicely furnished place. Really quick and helpful communication. Only downside was being on ground level, a bit noisy when the cleaning vans went past. Opposite a pub so could be noisy end of the week, but mid-week was totally fine.

It was sparkling clean and cosy, the towels in the bathroom were brilliant. Laura responds very quickly to any queries and made excellent suggestions for eateries, of a variety of venus.

It had its own private entrance which allowed me to come and go as I pleased (which was really handy as I arrived very late and left very early in the morning). About a half an hour walk from the city centre which wasn’t an issue or only a £6-10 taxi. Would definitely recommend staying here if you can.

The semi-detached brick house is built on a hill just outside the city centre. It is tastefully furnished and modern, having been built only in 2005. Despite its proximity to the city, the estate is quiet and you're never far from green space.
  • Richard made me really feel at home during the 3 months I stayed at his place! The room is exactly as advertised and you can use the entire house (including kitchen and living room) during your stay. Richard is a lovely host, will help you wherever he can and he knows all hidden places in Sheffield and around. I would definitely recommend!

  • Great stay, cosy well thought out room with a really comfortable bed!! Richard was responsive, cats were adorable! No problems-good for a couple of days or longer for work/courses. The house as well as a whole is great clean and modern and we used the kitchen and living room (Richard was occasionally around with an occasional chat but usually out all day with work sometimes weekend). Check in can be confusing (smartphone needed) at first but if you follow all the instructions it’s fine. Just a reminder no lock on bedroom door. 25min walk ish to town downhill-to come back...it’s uphill-but tram stop Is a few mins walk from the house. Premier supermarket store close by for basics. • I really loved my stay at Scrabble House! The space was clean and tidy, very cosy and comfortable. The word "quirky" is used in a lot of reviews and I think that's accurate! The area is also pretty cool with lots of independent shops. I think any negative reviews on here are down to people not reading the description properly. Air B&B is not the same as a hotel! You are paying for a unique and homely space, not uniformity and clean lines. I wouldn't normally respond to the negative reviews of others but having read them, they seem very unfair! I would 100% reccomended this property to anyone looking for a central, comfortable and unusual space near to central Sheffield.

Our semi-detached townhouse is 5 yrs old and situated on a new estate just off the M1 on the east side of Sheffield near Meadowhall, the English Institute of Sport and the Arena. The room offers a small double bed (6.3”x4”), bedding, towels, newly added 32” tv (Oct’ 19), lamp and coffee machine. Guests have full access to the kitchen, living room and garden. Everything in the house is clean, simple and modern, you'll be guaranteed a good sleep too as it's very safe, private and quiet.
The house is situated at the top of the 'Jenkin Road' hill (famous for being part of the 'Tour de France' route) - 20 min walk or a 5 min bus down the road to the Interchange for trams and buses into the city centre or shopping, food, cinema and bowling at Meadowhall shopping centre. Also within close proximity of the English Institute of Sport, Sheffield Arena, Magna Science Centre, Ponds Forge and Hillsborough Stadium. You have sole use of our guest room and main bathroom, adjacent to the room. As well as shared access to our kitchen, living room and garden. A single air bed is available for a 3rd person (ideally a child) within the guest bedroom. We provide linens and towels for all guests.
Our house is only 5 years old and situated at the rear, more private end of the estate with views over Sheffield and short walks in the woods nearby.

Beautiful large basement apartment, situated in the vibrant community of Broomhill. The apartment is situated in the basement of a large Victorian House, with private entrance and front courtyard garden. We are close to the university and teaching hospitals, which are all within walking distance. The city centre is just 5 mins away yet we have great access to Derbyshire. The property consists of brand new kitchen, large lounge/dinning area, large double bedroom and bathroom.
The kitchen is well equipped with all the usual mod cons and we will provide breakfast in the form of cereal, bread, milk and fresh fruit. Tea, coffee and sugar are always stored in the kitchen. There is a double bed and a Sofa bed both of which are in the large double bedroom. Parking in Broomhill is via pay and display (Mon - Sat, 0800 - 1830)and we provide visitor parking permits for guest, please let us know if you are bringing a car?
Broomhill is a beautiful leafy conservation area which is perfectly located for all that Sheffield has to offer. We have a host of restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. We are on a great bus route the 120 and 51 which go into town every few minutes. We are a five minute walk away from the award winning Botanical Gardens, Western Park Museum and the wonderful Eccesall Road area.
  • Amazing space and I would most certainly stay here again.

    M2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Three of us spent a couple of nights in the apartment, and enjoyed our stay very much. It was clean, warm, spacious and had everything you needed, including a well equipped kitchen and TV with Netflix. The bedroom was at the back of the property and was therefore very quiet. We found it to be a great location for visiting our son who is studying at Sheffield University. There is also a great selection of shops and cafes within a couple of minutes walk, including small Morrisons and Sainsbury's. A parking permit was kindly supplied and we easily found some on street parking within 2-3 minutes walk from the apartment. We would certainly return here again.

    Andrew2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Caroline has a super place, well equipped with all what you need. Perfect location if you are looking a place close to student apartments (Endcliffe, Ranmoor). Will go again!

  • We so enjoyed our time in the suite! Perfect for two travelers who appreciate cozy luxury, this tidy and stylish stay was all we could have wanted! If you’re looking for a great stay near Chatsworth House, especially, this was a bit of a drive, but a BEAUTIFUL drive at that!

  • Really beautiful apartment! Nice big space too with all the facilities you need! Unfortunately, our shower was broken when we arrived, but Laura was super responsive and had a plumber out first thing in the morning and was fixed in no time so for me... top marks on service! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a luxury and quiet stay in Sheffield!

    Jane2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay in the Garden apartment. It was as beautiful as the pictures suggest, very tastefully decorated and a really lovely space perfect for our stay. It was in a great location, with lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. I struggled to access the check in details on the day, due to my phone playing up, but Laura’s neighbour very kindly put us in touch with Laura and it was easily fixed. Parking is a bit tight round the back of the building but the other residents were all very thoughtful of each other so as not to block anyone in. I would definitely recommend staying and will be using this flat again if ever we venture back to Sheffield for a night or 2. Thank you for being an exceptional host and making our stay so relaxing.

  • This is a great apartment well appointed and extremely comfortable. Everything inside is well kept, clean fresh and efficient. I have no hesitation recommending this accommodation, good location in easy access to the city walking or on public services. Steve is a superb host and made us very welcome.

    Jane2019-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is a review for 37, not 47, Beeches Bank. The change was made at the last minute due to a damaged sofa bed. The apartment is well appointed, spotlessly clean and in a good location. We booked for 7 adults (47 Beeches Bank) but 37 Beeches Bank is more suitable for 5 adults.

    Helen2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, good location right near the Tram so that you can easily get into Sheffield centre. Apartment clean with all the facilities you will need. Designated car parking space right by the apartment.

    Rob2019-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Super convenient, good walk into town, it had everything I needed👍🏻

    Carolyn2019-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • I'd like to get the actual location out the way quite quickly. Everything was clean and tidy, the appartment was much larger than expected, and the facilities provided were incredible. Steve himself however, is actually what made the experience memorable. Incredibly friendly gentleman with a cracking sense of humour. Made me feel super welcome, answered all my questions and communication in a timely and concise manner, and did all he could to try and make myself and my friends stay more comfortable. Even managed to keep a smile on when he returned to the property and I was still outside in a very "fragile" condition. Highly recommended location, even more highly recommended host.

    Chris2019-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great apartment and perfect for a weekend trip to Sheffield. Steve was fantastic and met all expectations. The apartment was very clean and had plenty of resources. 20 minute walk to town adds to making the location very handy.
