Shepherd hut suitable for 2 people. Nice pine wooden interior with a wood burner.. Good quality double mattress with duvet, pillows and linen included. Access to toilets & hot water. Unfortunately we do not have shower facilities On request use of BBQ or fire pit. I will provide you with tea/coffee/ & flask of hot water, either night before or in the morning or camping stove & kettle. Some days may be self check in, please keep me posted on time of arrival, especially if after 7pm.
Shepherds hut is situated in our Tearooms yard. Tearooms is open daily until 5pm. After 5pm the yard is closed to the public. Tearooms close for winter beginning of October. Use of BBQ , just bring your own charcoal. Our farm is 5 minutes walk from the village shop, local pub , church and beaches . ( cold water shower at middle beach) Beautiful area for walking. A very popular walk is to Old Harry Rocks & Ballard Down to Swanage. Bus stop to Swanage & Bournemouth only 5 minutes walk

    This little studio is lovely and bright with it's own entrance. It has a small kitchenette and a shower room. It can be set up as a double or twin. There is a garden for your use which has stunning views of the hills and bay. It's close to the coastal path for wonderful walking opportunities and is just 0.8 mile/15 min walk, to the seafront/centre. Kitchenette has microwave,kettle, toaster, very small fridge, teas, coffee, milk, bread, preserves and cereals. Parking is on the road and plentiful
    The studio is brick built and is completely self contained with its own entrance. It is light and bright, with a lovely view across to the purbeck ridgeway and the sea, when standing. The bedroom area measures approx 3.5x3.5 mtrs with a separate kitchenette and shower room. It should be noted that the ceiling slopes from 2.1 mtrs (6ft 9) at the front, to 1.9 mtrs (6ft 2) at the back. The bedroom and shower room have heating. I am told that the bed is extremely comfortable. It's a 5' 2" king size that can be split into two 2' 6" singles for twin occupancy. A fold up table and chairs is provided for you to dine in the bedroom. There is covered storage for bikes etc,and for walkers/cyclists to hang waterproofs to dry( please ask when you arrive). A launderette is just a few minutes away by foot. Please note that the fridge is only for bare essentials, as it is only about 18 inches square.
    I am situated on the Jurrasic coast which is a World heritage site with walks along the coast plus the Purbeck Ridgeway, which affords stunning views over Poole Harbour on one side, the Purbeck Valley to the other, with Corfe Castle on the route. From my place it's easy to get onto the coast path (20 mins walk) and I'm also situated on the Priests Way which is a lovely 3.5 mile walk or cycle to the pretty village of Worth Matravers, with a superb vintage tea/ lunch /supper room the legendary Square and Compass pub(look it up) . The path has been recently resurfaced with loose stone so is accessible all year round. Most of the costal area is open access, so there are many other lovely walks from your door, including a walk through Dorset Wildlife Trust's Townsend Reserve, through to Dorset County Councils, Durlston Country Park and lots of National Trust Land. A few mins walk away is a caravan park with a bar and swimming pool for public use. There is a lovely safe beach in the town with easy access to the shops and eateries. within a short walk to there is a more secluded/ quieter beach, (north beach). The beach has again been awarded the coveted blue star for water quality in 2019 and North Beach is listed in the top 5 best beaches of Dorset . There are opportunities here to enjoy water and land sports such as kayaking, paddle boarding, coasteering, climbing etc. The RSBP nature reserve of Arne is nearby which was the location for the BBC's 2016/2017 Autumn Watch and Winter Watch highlighting its significant importance for wildlife, not only nationally but internationally too. The National Trust Studland Bay is 3 miles from here, with its fabulous 4 mile stretch of fine golden sands backed by an vast area of sand dunes and heathland full of wildlife. There are a few of good restaurants, and lots of lovely independent cafes in town. Daytime, Java is particularly good for coffee, vegan and vegetarian food, and Love Cake has a wide lunch /teatime menu. Evenings, Bliss and Chilled Red are recommended. All the pubs also serve food. The Black Swan is of particularly good quality (evening service Monday to Saturday and Sunday's lunch only) and is only a 5 min walk from here (early booking advisable. Phone them to book anytime after 5.30 daily ). A few of the pubs have live music at the weekends, but not all, so you can avoid that if you wish. There is a good variety of small independant shops selling a range of goods to suit various budgets, ideal for a good mooch about town. There are two supermarkets in the town both open until late Mon to Sat, a mini market close by that opens everyday until 20.00 including Sundays. Also Arkwrights spar convenience store open daily, from early to 22.00 is about a 5 min walk and the Texaco garage spar shop, a 10 min walk, is open early until 23.00. The Purbeck area and Swanage itself, hosts a wide variety of music and arts festivals, throughout the year to cover most people's taste. Also many organised walks, and nature based events led by various experts are available throughout the year too. The Web site 'Visit Dorset.com' is a good source of information for the local area and beyond. Walking into the centre of town from here is 10 /15 mins on lit streets, that are switched off at midnight.

    This apartment is an established holiday property offering one large double bedroom and a good size twin room.     The property is located in Sandbanks, famous for its high property values, you'll find the beach is sandy and flat with shallow waters making it a popular site for water sports, especially windsurfing and parasailing. Take the chain ferry from Sandbanks to Studland and head up to Old Harry Rocks where you'll be greeted with amazing views of the coastline. On the way back why not stop and quench your thirst in the local pub or even have a spot of lunch. Poole town centre has an abundance of shops to suit all tastes and budgets. Head down to Poole Quay and you'll find plenty to see and do, play in the amusements, catch the land train or take a boat over to Brownsea Island. The Island is home to the endangered red squirrel and offers lovely walks and views of the harbour. If you fancy going further afield you can even catch a ferry to Jersey. Poole Park offers tennis courts, a miniature railway and an indoor soft play centre for children. The summer months see Poole come alive with weekly firework displays from the Quay and Sandbanks, speedway events, weekly bike meets- where you can come and find the biker in you and evening boat trips around the harbour. Head to Bournemouth town centre and you'll find cinemas, the Pavilion theatre, Bournemouth International Centre and a variety of places to eat and drink. Head down to pier approach and you'll find plenty to see and do, if you can manage to tear yourself away from the seven miles of golden sand why not take a stroll on the pier, play in the amusements, go on an underwater adventure at the Oceanarium or even catch the land train to Boscombe. Stroll through Bournemouth gardens and you'll come across mini golf, a bandstand, aviary and the Bournemouth eye, a tethered balloon with large passenger carrier attached which flies high above the skyline and offers spectacular views. Further afield you'll find the spectacular Jurassic coastline (a world heritage site). Corfe Castle, The New Forest, Swanage and Southampton are all within easy travelling distance for a great day out.

    Coastal Cabin - self contained comfortable self contained cabin, 500 metres from the SW coastal path & half a mile from Swanage town centre & Durlston Country Park. Perfect for a couple, easy street parking.
  • Fiona's cabin was really lovely. Two of us spent a couple of nights here and it was warm and cosy as promised. It has a great kitchen so you can self cater but equally it is a 10 minute walk into lovely Swanage where you can find great pubs fish and chips and cafes etc. For those less able to walk just be aware the walk is very steep. It is a challenge but definitely doable for most. If not, there is plenty of free on street parking for those with cars. Communication was really quick with the host and we would 100% recommend anyone to stay here.

  • The Coastal Cabin is a very cosy but well equipped home from home that has everything you need for a short (or longer) stay. Clean, comfy, warm, good location, secure and pet friendly. 10 minute walk and you're in the town. Plenty of good pubs (with great food) also within walking distance. Great for a coastal stroll with the dogs, but take care near the cliffs... We didn't meet the hosts, but had no issues that negatively impacted our stay.

    Welcome! We are looking forward to sharing our home with you. Our Victorian house is situated in a peaceful area just five minutes walk from the town, beach and the South West Coast Path. Durlston Country Park and Peveril Point are only ten minutes walk away.
    Swanage is the eastern gateway to the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. The family friendly beach has consistently achieved European Blue Flag status. Swanage enjoys some of the South coast’s best weather. Swanage has a wide variety of activities available and there are many regular events held in the town. Swanage retains the feel of a Victorian seaside resort and provides lots of interesting history, galleries, and shops to explore. Enjoy your stay!

    Our lovely first floor flat is in an elevated position just off the town centre offering views to the sea from the lounge. Less than 2 minute walk to the beach. The property offers 1 good sized double bedroom and a small room with 2 single beds (READ BELOW). We can also provide a travel cot if requested. The apartment also offers a fully applianced kitchen and bathroom ( small bath with shower over) with everything you would need for your stay. WIFI is also included.
    The flat occupies the first floor in a converted Victorian house and is a few minutes walk from Swanage Beach. This apartment would easily accommodate 4 and is very comfortable and homely. There are two single beds in the small second bedroom. One is a pull out so is close to the floor. We also have a sofa bed in the lounge if this is preferred. However, please note:- we do not allow 6 guests as the apartment is too small. There is free street parking outside the property however if it is full there is plenty of free parking up the road just a few minutes walk and everything in Swanage is in walking distance. We offer all basic cooking supplies, coffee machine, and pretty much every utensil you could think of if you like cooking! There are also four stools round a breakfast bar/island so you can sit down to eat.
    The property is close to all amenities, and a short walk to the main square with chips shops, pubs and the stone quay and pier.
  • Really lovely apartment on the first floor of a Victorian style house so high ceilings and big windows. Homely, spacious, modern and clean with everything you could possibly need for a break away. Very well stocked utensils, pots and pans etc. in the kitchen complete with an island/breakfast bar with high stools to dine at. Lounge area perfect to lounge in after a long walk. Location great with just a few minutes walk to shops, sea front, restaurants, pubs etc...… We visited the very last weekend before the UK went on full lockdown and we felt so fortunate that we had decided last minute to visit such a lovely place not knowing what we had coming the following week. In all honesty we didn't need anything to be open as we took our own shopping, we had the sea, we went on walks, took in the view and fortunate enough for us the fish n chips shop was still serving. It was perfect 10/10 accommodation and location. Also found communication very quick and was able to arrange a later check out so that we could spend longer in Swanage. Parking free and right outside house. Not suitable for anyone that can't manage a small flight of stairs or a hill as he house is on a road on a steep hill. Hope to visit again, thank you :)

    Our idilic family bungalow is perched on the edge of a cliff with stunning views overlooking Swanage bay. Only 12 minutes walk to Swanage town centre with the beach and nearby shops on our doorstep, this is the perfect spot for a short break, a quiet and convenient place to stay if working or for doorstep access to the many internationally renowned Jurassic Coast walks.   • Clare is an amazing host, she makes you feel at home in no time. The room is lovely and breakfast delicious. The house is in a spectacular location with beautiful views from the garden. There are so many things to do both in sun or rain - take a walk to the centre of Swanage or walk along the coastal path and admire the views, short drive to various NT properties, beaches, visit the Tank museum, Monkey world, and so much more.... I stayed there with my 2 children (age 6 and 9) and we had everything we needed. And we've left with lots of lovely memories to take with us. Thank you Clare!

My only negative was that the wi-fi was rather expensive to use (around £8 per day). I ended up buying an add-on from my phone provider and using it as a hotspot as I needed to get online to do work in the evenings.

    Lovely seafront apartment located just above smiths in the centre of town right opposite the beach. Great views from all the rooms. We even have a lift. Unfortunately there is no parking at the moment. The positive is once parked everything is on your doorstep. Shops restaurants.
    The flat is quite small and cosy. Although in the Centre of town the block is quiet. It is purpose built so sound proofing is really good. This would be an ideal base. It is situated above Smiths and next to Boots. Harry Ramsden is opposite. The decor of the apartment is neutral. We will have WiFi installed, which allows unlimited downloads. A parking space will be an option from April 1st 2020 onwards at Purbeck House hotel. Let us know prior to arrival and we will leave the permit. Cost will be just £2.50 per day. Just leave the amount in the kitchen on departure day. Because the flat is so central you can park up and it’s only about 60 metres to our beautiful safe beach. All the shops are literally on your doorstep with restaurants and pubs all close by. We have a fully equipped kitchenette which has everything you need including a microwave and coffee machine. We will include a few pods. You can breakfast people watching or just enjoying the spectacular sea view. Entry to the apartment is easy with our key code. You can unload luggage at the back of the building. The apartment is small and ideally would suit a couple. Three adults at a push. Two adults and one child max. We have a laundry room downstairs on the ground floor. There is also video entry. I will answer your enquiries quickly.
    Swanage has a great ambiance and the flat is almost on the beach. You can hear the sea with the windows open. We are very near the bus station and there is a steam train that runs in the summer months. We are close to lovely walks all along the Jurassic coast.

Deck Chairs and wind breaks are available for hire, with plenty of places to buy ice cream and fish and chips - what can be more synonymous of a great British seaside!! There is a choice of 10 local restaurants within easy walking distance and a further 5 excellent pubs serving food 7 days a week. There are 2 supermarkets within minutes walk, but for the best food simply walk down the stairs of the apartment and visit the Purbeck Deli. The famous Swanage Steam Railway has its home within 5 minutes walk, where a daily service runs through to Corfe Castle and Wareham. If you book in advance, an evening timetable provides the unique experience of an evening meal aboard an authentic steam train.

The beach is right on the doorstep and there are loads of cafes and pubs nearby - perfect for warming up after a blustery time at the beach! Would recommend a visit to Durdle Door which is about half an hour away. Corfe Castle is also a great place to visit with lots on to entertain little ones in half term. Simon was a great host and was very accommodating and helpful to us with check in and out and tips when we were there.

    The recently refurbished room is light and airy, looking out over the garden at the back of the house. It gets the sun in the afternoon and evening. The room is next to the shared bathroom. Fresh coffee and tea making facilities in room; breakfast, newspapers available on request. We are a friendly, sociable couple but respectful of guests privacy. Kate, my wife, is a beauty therapist and guests can book from a range of beauty treatments. We have a very friendly cat. Single guest discount.
    There is a wooden framed double bed. The room overlooks the garden and gets the sun all afternoon and evening. The room is next door to the bathroom and toilet. Towels and toiletries provided. Various teas and fresh coffee in room.
    The house is part of a late Victorian terrace in an area called Herston which has some lovely old local buildings. There is a good pub, The Globe, 50 yards down the road which has good beer, good food and garden. Opposite is an Indian restaurant, a fish and chip shop around the corner and a local shop with post office. It's a 20 minute walk/2 minute drive into the centre of Swanage with it's shops, supermarkets, many restaurants, other eateries and pubs. It has a blue flag beach set in a beautiful bay. It is a 'traditional' English seaside resort with a pier, Punch and Judy, weekly fireworks in August and all the amenities and attractions you'd expect. It is on the World Heritage 'Jurassic Coast' with stunning coastline and popular places such as Corfe Castle, Lulworth Cove and Studland Beach nearby. There is a steam railway from Swanage station.

    Acton Studio is perfect for walkers as we are on the South West Coast Path, ideal for those wanting to get back to nature and unwind as we are off the beaten track.
    Acton Studio is a recently converted compact purbeck stone outbuilding with double bed, wet room and kitchenette with table and stools. The kitchenette has an electric oven, hob, fridge, sink, kettle, toaster and essential kitchen items. Dorset tea, coffee, sugar and milk provided. The studio is located at the bottom of our rear garden, the studio has it's own private garden. There is parking but it is not adjacent to the property. Sit in the enclosed garden on a summer evening after a long hike relaxing with a beer or glass of wine. On a clear night and with no street lights you can gaze up at a sky full of stars.
    Acton is a small tranquil hamlet of around forty Purbeck stone cottages with unmade roads throughout. There is two pubs within walking distance. The King's Arms in Langton Matravers (25 minutes) and the Square and Compass in Worth Matravers (30 minutes). The Square and Compass only serves pies and pasties. A couple of minutes in the car and you reach The Scott Arms in Kingston then a little further The Castle Inn and The Greyhound in Corfe Castle. The nearest shop is in Langton Matravers ( a twenty five minute walk) but please check that they are open. There are Coop and Budgen supermarkets in Swanage and lots of smaller shops (a ten minute drive). We are surrounded by fields, some with cows and sheep and we are located on the South West Coast Path incorporating breath-taking views. We are lucky to live in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, home to many rare plants and animals. The Purbeck coastline is part of the ninety-five mile stretch known as the 'Jurassic Coast', named England’s first natural world heritage site in 2002 because of the unique insight it offers into 185 million years of the Earth’s history.

My house is a 5/6 min flat walk to the beach and town centre, which boasts a wide choice of cafes restaurants and pubs on which I will be happy to advise. (Special mention though to the world famous Square & Compass Pub in neighbouring Worth Matravers!) Swanage is also famous for its local Purbeck arts and crafts, community-run music festivals throughout the year (Jazz, Blues, Folk, etc.) and even a Pirate Festival!     Our home is a 3 storey Victorian semi-detatched house. We are just a 5 minute walk down to the town and beach (10 minutes back up the hill to home) We have on road parking right in front of our home.We do live on a fairly steep hill, but very worth it for the amazing sea views.
    We offer a spacious double bedroom with En suite shower and toilet, along with your own small balcony with stunning views overlooking the sea. Tea and coffee facilities are in the room as also a toaster with fresh bread and jam/marmalade if a light breakfast is required.
    We are literally a 5 minute walk down into the town and to the beach (10 minutes back up the hill!) Swanage is a typical Victorian sea side town with ample eating places/restaurants/public houses/cafes and a good selection of shops. We are also fortunate to be a 5 minute walk from Durlston Country Park with access to spectacular walks which form part of the South west Coastal path.

    We are as close as you can get to Durlston Castle and Durlston Country Park. You can walk out of our door and onto the South West Coastal Path in minutes, without even walking on a road. Yet we are only a 15 minute stroll into the very centre of Swanage, with its beautiful beach, Victorian Pier and a choice of restaurants, pubs and shops. The best of both worlds.

We have tried and hopefully succeeded in creating a stylish and enjoyable base for outdoor lovers to explore the amazing beaches, coves and countryside of the Purbeck.NOTE : This is a period home ,the garden and floors are a bit wibbly wobbly and the stairs are a little steep so it may be unsuitable if you are a little unsteady on your feet, however I hope you feel as we do that it rather adds to the charm of this little holiday home.The kitchen is small and basic the aga is just a feature.     Our tarmac road is a quiet cul-de-sac in a beautiful, leafy, peaceful area of Swanage. It's a 10 - 15 minute walk, uphill, above the town centre, railway, bus station and the beautiful, soft, sandy beaches of Swanage Bay. Next to our house there are various footpaths leading to Durlston Country Park and Castle, Townsend Nature Reserve and the South Coast Path. You can walk the South Coast Path to Studland, Sandbanks and Poole, or go in the other direction to Worth Matravers (Square & Compass Pub), Corfe Castle, Kimmeridge Bay and Lulworth Cove. The Black Swan Inn/Pub is only a 10 minute walk down the hill, it serves delicious reasonably priced food (vegetarian and gluten free options) e.g. great fish pie, mussels, hamburgers, Jurassic Ribs, fish and chips and daily specials. Two of our German guests had no use of a car from the day they landed at Southampton airport until they returned to Germany. Instead of driving they wanted to hike, use the bus, or take the train. One day, they walked from our house to Poole Harbour via the ferry at Studland, at Poole Quay they caught the bus back to Swanage. On another occasion, we drove them to Lulworth Cove with a picnic, they then walked back to our house along the South Coast Path, arriving late that afternoon, exhausted, but elated. Several times they walked to Wareham and Corfe Castle and The Square & Compass pub at Worth Matravers.

The house itself is very beautiful, spacious and well equipped. You'll have your own comfortable private space and entrance with everything you could need. Ange and Nick have thought of every small thing, so the place is full of thoughtful touches - like board games, brushes for cleaning muddy footwear, extra blankets, menus of nearby restaurants etc 3. Amazing breakfast provided! Lots of variety and healthy wholesome food. 4. Lovely garden at the back right behind your private kitchen 5. You should ask Ange for tips on food and places to see. They gave us some great suggestions and even helped us make reservations for dinner at a great place nearby. 6. Location - very close to beautiful scenic spots! You'll still need a car to make the best of the area but this place is very conveniently located. 7. Their dog summer! Such a sweetheart ❤️ Cons - I thought long and hard and could not come up with even one. I would strongly recommend Ange and Nick's place to anyone visiting Swanage!     This is a lovely light and airy apartment with sea views; only 5 minutes walk from the sandy bay and town centre. It is self contained and on the first floor beneath the tower. There is a spacious open plan sitting area with sofa and 'smart tv', plus a dining area and double bed; separate fitted kitchen with gas cooker, microwave refrigerator; bathroom with bath, overhead shower, basin & w.c. Shared use of sunny garden. Parking for 1 small/medium car available in the drive. Access key safe.
    Swanage is an attractive seaside resort with a long sandy beach and a good range of places to eat. There are a variety of activities including boat trips, fishing, boating and rides on the steam train which links Swanage with the historic village of Corfe Castle. This is also a wonderful walking area. The coastal path is only 5 minutes walk away and there is easy access to Durleston and walks along the coast westerly to Worth Matravers and Kimmeridge or easterly to Old Harry Rocks and Studland. There are a variety of small Purbeck villages within a short drive with charming stone cottages and traditional pubs.
    Enjoy tea at 'Love Cake' a few minutes walk away or take a short drive or walk long the coast to our favourite pub The Square and Compass in Worth Matravers. A very traditional pub with its own fossil collection. Renowned for its local cider and beers.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Honor’s place. The flat has everything you need for a pleasant stay in a lovely town. I personally found the bed to be very comfortable and the smart TV set-up makes it perfect for anyone who is looking for a relaxed stay. If not, there’s plenty to explore nearby. Quick and helpful responses from the owner throughout as well. I would recommend to others.

    Seascape is a bright, airy lodge down its own drive at the edge of Swanage Bay View. Adjoining Townsend Nature Reserve it enjoys utter tranquillity and spectacular views over the bay, as seen on 'A Place in the Sun'. With its tasteful modern furnishings, central heating and double glazing, Seascape is a cosy winter retreat, while in Spring and Summer use of a 1903 beach hut on a private beach is included. In addition, guests enjoy the amenities of SBV - all within a 15 min walk of the seafront!
    Seascape is our much loved holiday home. It combines peace and seclusion with access to a stunning pool, good gym and spectacular countryside. 5 mins walk in one direction takes you to the Southwest coastal path or 15 minutes in the other direction to the seafront and the lively shops, cafes and restaurants of Swanage. Absolutely the best of both worlds.
    Seascape occupies a stunning location on the edge of Swanage Bay View on the Jurassic Coast. A World Heritage Site, the Victorian town of Swanage remains open to visitors all year with its eclectic shops, cafes and restaurants and enjoys a microclimate, situated as it is at the tip of Purbeck. Great walks, pubs and tea rooms. Base yourself in Swanage to explore Studland, Poole and Brownsea Island or, to the west, Lulworth Cove, Lyme Regis or Dorchester.
  • Judith's beautiful place has the best view in Swanage and is so clean. On arrival we found delicious cookies and a cake for our stay - a lovely touch, Thanks so much, I can't wait to return and will be recommending.

  • What a beautiful cabin with an incredible view of Swanage. We stayed in the cabin for my husband’s birthday and when we arrived, there was a birthday balloon, card, cake and more tasty goodies for him, which was such a lovely touch. The cabin is perfect, it’s very warm, clean and the bed was comfortable. Judith also provided a high chair and a travel cot so we didn’t need to bring our own. We will definitely be staying here again.

  • A super place to stay. The lodge is lovely and even though the weather was wet and windy the lodge felt cosy and warm. You cannot beat the view! Close enough to walk to Swanage and we followed Judith’s advice and did a lovely walk along the coast.

    A lovely ground floor flat with it's own patio area. Only 2 minutes walk to the beach. The flat has it's own parking space. Perfect for a short break away, plenty to do in the local area and lovely walks and places to eat.

  • Fantastic flat in a beautiful location, just a few minutes away from the beach. The parking space was a real advantage and where the flat is so conveniently located, we didn't actually use the car during our stay! The instructions for getting into the flat were clear, and the milk, bread, butter and cookies on arrival were very much appreciated. Will definitely be back if we visit Swanage again!
