  • A lovely location with lovely views across the woods and river. Rachel Anne is a very good host and lovely chatty person, who makes you feel at home the second you walk through the door. I thouroughly recommend this guest house.

  • This location is exactly as described. It is located conveniently within about a 20 minute drive from the most important sites in North Wales. Rachel is very kind and helpful and cooks a wonderful breakfast.

  • Lovely stay. Thank you :)

    Zara2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel’s place was comfortable and laid back. She was a friendly and gracious host. We had a full breakfast every morning, which was nice. The location was great, very convenient for doing anything on the East side of the park. The room was comfortable and roomie. You could hear the river with the window open. The hot tub was a nice touch after a long day hiking. It was overall a great value.

    Lee2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely little stay :) close to some cute, hopping towns and not too far from Snowdon for our hike! Thanks you again!

Hafod Hedd is set in a beautiful private woody location on a the banks of a river. It is the perfect get away for adventurous souls who wish to escape the modern world! Cooking, heating and hot water are provided by a real fire, light is provided by candles, and the loo is an eco-friendly compost toilet. The real highlight is bathing under the stars in a pair of al fresco baths. This dwelling is only suited to able bodied adults as there are steep paths, hot fires, and drops into the river.
Hafod Hedd is a cosy 1 roomed dwelling with a double bed. There is cold running water, a vintage wood burning stove, and a window overlooking the river. The dwelling is heated by sustainable timber and the roof is insulated with real sheep wool. The bed is kept warm by a baavet, wool duvet. It is a quirky, romantic and totally unique space, set in a peaceful private location.
Hafod Hedd is set in an unspoilt rural location in the Snowdonia National Park and is perfect for walkers and cyclists. If you require shops, restaurants and adventure activities we are only ten minutes drive away from the tourist hot spot of Betws y Coed.
  • This little place is so special. You can completely detach from modern life (until the fighter jets fly over and remind you that you are actually in 2019, not 1719). The outside baths are amazing! And the hut itself is just the cosiest place to stay. Absolutely perfect for a weekend of hiking and exploring beautiful Snowdonia. Will definitely return!

    Chelsey2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing. We visited for 2 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Everything was perfect. It’s very isolated with no other person in sight. The noise of the river next to the pump house is beautiful. Tom was a great host. When we arrived every thing was ready to go. The stove and separate outdoor bath burner were both prepped with firefighters and kindling ready to light. The outdoor baths were magical. We will definitely be back again in the future. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • We absolutely loved our stay at the hut, it's a beautiful place to stop and unwind. Definitely recommended!

  • Ideal place to stay for visiting Snowdonia

    Larry2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • My second time at the loft - a great little place, quirky but cosy and comfy! A nice quiet and scenic location, great to get away from it all. Had a chinwag with both Jeremy & Ceinwen were friendly and approachable. A lovely time was had!

    Tom2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Accommodation was fab! Great peaceful location. Was lovely to have a stream running outside the windows aswell as chickens and a cat running about. We stayed when the weather was stormy and we felt like it was a cosy, safe haven for us. The shower was so hot and probably the best electric shower I've ever used! Was a great find and we will hopefully be back next time we are visiting Snowdonia. We also picked up a take out vegan pizza from Betwys - y-coed and brought it back to the loft as a 10 min drive. The pizzeria had great vegan options and some of the money went to charity.

    Cathryn2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cosy and clean space! We were provided with all the essentials and more with handy notes and pointers. We had a lovely nights sleep and felt at peace in the greenery :) would definitely return for a longer stay!

Small annex on a working farm approximately 4 miles from the village of Betws y Coed. Ideal place for peace and quiet, and country walks. Car essential due to location. Unfortunately no pets allowed.
Some of the local attractions include Zip World in Blaenau Ffestiniog, and Zip World Fforest in Llanrwst, also Surf Snowdonia in Dolgarrog.
  • Ednas place is great value for money. It has everything needed to self cater, the bed was so comfortable!!! A great nights sleep 😊 very peaceful surroundings. Edna and Mei are extremely friendly and welcoming and offer all the tips you may need for a great trip. Would definitely book again if returning to the area. Snowdon was a great achievement and so beautiful. Karen and Dom

  • Edna’s place is lovely and clean with all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed a short break there on the farm. Edna and Mai are warm and helpful. You just need to be aware that the farm is up in the hills and access is along some long narrow lanes.

    Andrew2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing space attached to the farmhouse. It's got great cooking amenities and is well appointed. The hosts made sure someone was home to check us in which was quick an easy. It's was amazingly quiet and we'd happily go back.

    Robert2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • We just had a wonderful weekend at Edna's place. We were absolutely delighted by all the little touches that made this stay very special. The location is wonderful for exploring North Wales and the accommodation is extremely peaceful during the night. Edna is a great host and replies to messages swiftly. We will definitely come back again!

  • The stay at Edna's AirBnB was a super one! Super clean place and the attention to detail is fantastic. Loved the small thought that was left for my Birthday. Location is also great if you would like to go round Snowdonia. Super hosts! Loved it!

Beautifully converted, each half of this barn sleeps 4 and is available to rent seperately. A big central woodburning stove (as well as underfloor heating) means you'll be cosy and warm all year round, a luxury bathroom and an enormously comfortable super king-sized bed and hidden away bunk beds that children love. The best bit - a fully equipped outdoor kitchen and dining area with BBQ, firepit & giant bean bags so you can enjoy Snowdonia National Park from breakfast until bedtime!
Snowdonia Glamping Holiday's boutique barn conversion takes glamping to a whole new level! Divided into two adjacent units, each unit has a big central woodburning stove (as well as underfloor heating) ensuring you'll be cosy and warm all year round, a luxury bathroom that you'd be happy to find in a boutique hotel and an enormously comfortable super king-sized bed and hidden away bunk beds that children love. And the glamping part? The kitchen is outdoors - sheltered and under cover - just in case it rains! Naturally there's a BBQ but there's also a gas burner and of course there's a seating area outside so you can enjoy the lovely views, the sounds of nature and the stunning starry nights that we're so lucky to enjoy. Oh - and last - but not least - you'll be unplugged from the outside world. There's no mobile signal or wifi here. And, although it's comfortable and modern, there are no gadgets - no TV, games consoles or even radio! There are books and board games for wet weather days, binoculars for wildlife watching and maps for helping you to plan your next adventure.
We live in a very quiet rural spot in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park. The property is an old farm although we aren't farmers ourselves. We're surrounded by open farm land - the only sounds you can hear are the sounds of nature - in Spring lambs bleating, at night owls hooting and screeching as they hunt over the grassland. Our nearest village is idyllic Capel Garmon - it has a good pub called the Penllan or The White Horse as it's known in English (but check opening hours with us before you go), a primary school with just 15 pupils and a few houses and scattered farms. There's also a neolithic burial chamber there which is interesting to visit and makes a lovely walk from the property.
  • Perfect location close to gorgeous Betws-y-coed but far enough away to be peaceful! The surrounding views were outstanding and the outdoor cooking was fab! Amenities were great and the bathroom and huge bed were out of this world! Loved every minute!

    Elaine2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Hazel's barn is such a wonderful place to stay; even in the December wind and rain, we had a brilliant time! The barn is simple, stylish and modern but the underfloor heating and log fire mean it still feels warm and homely. The outdoor kitchen is very well equipped; we had a great view whilst making breakfast in the morning and loved cooking outside under a full moon at night! The homemade cake after our day out walking was a lovely touch too. The barn is a 10 min drive from Betws-y-Coed, where there are a few little shops and pubs (and a beautiful walk to Llyn Elsi), and makes a great base to explore further into Snowdonia from. I couldn't recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a relaxing stay in the beautiful Welsh countryside.

    Susie2019-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • Magnificent views, ideal for family

    Arwel2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Very private with beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. Barn is beautifully refurbed. Chill out to the max without outside interruptions.

    Thomas2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • I saw a review before staying here that said that the ‘photos do not do it justice’ and I thought ‘well the photos look great’ but as soon as I arrived I realised even the great photos could never do the place justice. It really is beautiful and in such a good location. I would recommend anybody to stay here for a truly peaceful get-away with lovely hosts. Thank you so much! We look forward to returning one day for sure!

    Katy2019-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • This place is absolutely fantastic. The pictures don't do it justice, there is more space than it looks like there would be. The space is stylish and open, a modern touch but still functional. The location is remote, with limited phone signal except in certain places if you need it. You have privacy, and a walking route no less than 10m from your front door. Of all the places I've stayed in from this site, this is the top, and most memorable. If you're looking for a tranquil getaway with a camping style that doesn't make any compromises on comfort and luxury, then stay here. Hazel and Richard are fantastic hosts, I can't say a bad thing about the barns, a perfect break away. Book it!

    Jack2019-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely perfect!! If you want to get away from it all and sink into nature, allowing all the stresses of the city and work wash away, then this is the place. We felt time slow down.

    Rory2019-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • Not only is this an absolutely gorgeous spot to stay in Snowdonia, but Hazel and Richard are kind and thoughtful hosts that really make your stay that bit extra. The barn is beautifully styled (and oh my goodness, that rain shower...) and the outdoor kitchen offers a refreshing means of cooking and preparing meals. We loved the fact there was no TV or WIFI, and instead, we snuggled up inside on the heated floor by the fireplace with freshly made cake that Richard had left by the door for us. The perfect spot for four London girls who wanted to escape the city, climb Mount Snowden, and enjoy some RnR in the great outdoors.

Ty Bach Twt is a private annex in Snowdonia National Park with its own parking and a raised decked area, with mountain views, garden furniture and BBQ that can be used during your stay. There are numerous footpaths directly from the property into the mountains, mountain biking and nearby riding stables. There is a village pub and shop and the ever popular Betws-y-coed is only 4 miles away. Snowdon and Zip World are approximately 30 minutes drive. Go Below and Conwy Falls are close by.
Beautiful walks in the local mountains without even getting in your car. Walk high enough up behind the house and you’ll see Tryfan, Siabod and Snowdon on a clear day. The village is also on the Snowdonia Slate Trail, which you can easily follow to Conwy Falls. Please note, you will need to have good fitness levels to do these!

  • Absolutely fabulous cottage in a quiet country setting but easily accessible to Bettws-y-coed and Snowdonia. Eirian's place was comfortable, well appointed, sparklingly clean, and just all around lovely. She gave us excellent tips for places to eat and left delicious Welsh cakes for our arrival. Could not recommend the place more.

  • Beautiful coach house in a picturesque location; clean, comfortable, quiet and cosy - the perfect location for a romantic getaway, a walking holiday or a family trip! Eirian is a fantastic host with excellent local knowledge, she was extremely welcoming on arrival and there to help with any issues or queries throughout. Betws-y-Coed is a short drive from the property so make sure you bring a car if you want to explore. I’d recommend eating at the Grillhouse at the Royal Oak Hotel, or if you fancy a takeaway the Hangin’ Pizzeria next to the station do great pizzas! 10/10, would visit again - thank you very much Eirian!

This lovely 18th century oak beamed cottage stands in 2 acres of wildflower meadow which is grazed by Welsh Mountain ponies on the river Conwy It is surrounded by national trust farmland in Snowdonia National Park just 3 miles away from the pretty village of Betws-y- Coed
The area is a birdwatchers paradise and the clear sky is a treat for stargazers.
Although on the main road the land runs behind the house down to the river making it fairly quiet and near enough to Snowdon but just outside the hustle and bustle of the town
  • Rachel is a lovely and welcoming host and the guest house is very nice. We timed our stay with storm Cíara which made the town inaccessible on the sunday and we were unable to get food, Rachel very kindly included us in her sunday roast which was incresibly kind and goes above and beyond what is expected. The area is stunning and I imagine the hot tub would be lovely if it wasn't blowing a gail outside. It is mentioned in the information but it is helpful to know you will need to be dependent on a car for all things, however this isn't a problem as the guest house is a lovely place to settle in for the evening after you've had tea kn town.

  • A lovely little place with a warm welcome. Good breakfast, very clean about 3-4 miles to nearest town Bets y Coed. Would stay again.

  • I stayed for one night as part of a multi day cycle trip. Rachel is a lovely welcoming host and she has a smashing home next to the river. I enjoyed chatting to her and her other guest. My room was comfy and spacious, and quiet in the night. I enjoyed the breakfast, especially the turmeric tea and ginger marmalade. I would highly recommend a stay here, and will book again for sure next time my travels take me that way.

  • Wonderful stay. The breakfast was incredible, beautiful location. So sweet with the ponies and the stone bridge and the hot tub. Definitely recommend.

The shop and pub are very close which helps when popping out for milk or a quick pint! The cottage is well kept and has everything necessary for a comfortable country-side stay. Gerry and Linda have been also been incredibly helpful with local advice too. Highly recommend!

  • A perfect place to stay for a single person or a couple. I've stayed a few times now and always had a peaceful, restful break.

    Jim2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful cottage, very tastefully furnished and thoughtfully arranged. We loved using the log burner and it was easy to buy more wood from the friendly shop opposite. Lots of walks and cycling trails from the door, and everything we needed for self-catering. I'd definitely recommend it.

    Diana2019-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • Cleanest AirBnB I've ever stayed at! Absolutely impeccable and perfectly fitted for everything we needed during our stay. The town is lovely, very conveniently placed for lots of hiking and also the lovely restaurants and pubs of Betws-y-Coed nearby. Would stay again! Great space for a cozy long weekend for 2.

    Madison2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great location for the majority of northern snowdonia, plenty of things to do, walks etc. Freindly and welcoming village. A nice pub next door, and a small convenience shop opposite with all the essentials you'll need and a short drive to the beautiful Betws-y-coed for bigger shops & restaurants etc. Photos dont do it justice, perfect for short or longer stay and for couples. Would definitely stay again, thanks Gerry & Linda!

    Matt2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage - in a perfect location for walkers, so much more laid back than Betws-y-Coed. Main walks (Lake Ogwen, Pen Y Pass etc) are only 30-40 mins away. The cottage was very clean and the bedroom was much bigger than I expected! We even managed to sit out on the little balcony that comes off the bedroom to catch the afternoon sun with a glass of wine. Thank you - I am sure we will be back here on our next visit to Snowdonia.

  • Lovely views from the caravan, the hosts are lovely. Absolutely no internet or phone signal so bare that in mind. Location is perfect though for exploring Snowdonia. Caravan is well equipped, the heater takes a while as it is not central heating - would be very cold in here during Winter. I would definitely return though, had a great stay 😊

  • Absolutely spotless place! The place was clean and cosy, with the host kindly leaving us a lemon drizzle cake as a welcome! The views from the back were great. The amenities provided far exceeded my expectations. The bedrooms were great - clean and tidy! Just a tip for anyone using the postcode on Google Maps, it might be easier to plot a route to “The White Horse Inn” at the area, as Google Maps will end up taking you off road. Absolutely fantastic host with an absolutely fantastic venue!

Dan has put together very useful local information including walks and places to eat. This was very handy. I've always wanted to visit fairy Glen and didn't realise until we were there that it is only a ten minute walk from the cottage! Ideal spot. Tranquil and peaceful

Stone built cottage in Betws y Coed located by the Pont y Pair. Walks from Betws, bike hire in the village, and easy access to mountains of Snowdonia National Park and the stunning Welsh coast. Surf Snowdonia and Zip World close by.
Whole cottage to use - close to village centre, just a short walk across the famous Pont y Pair with the river rushing through. Quiet and serene on the one hand but village life a stones throw away.
Caban y Pair and Alpine coffee shops in Betws, the Ugly House café just up the road! The Royal Oak hotel has options for posh dining in the Brasserie grill or more relaxed in Y Stablau.
  • Super close to amenities in Betws - 5 mins WALK to a number of pubs, restaurants, cafes, spar, post offices, londis, outdoor shops and gift shops. Lovely, quiet and well equipped house. Wi-Fi, recycling, full kitchen, big table to sit at, TV /DVD worked fine and comfy bed (we used middle double room). Quiet place and good base for walking and running. Petrol station close by too. Great comms. Keybox easy to find and use. Googlemap pin isn't quite right but front photo is easy to match to house. The drive is tight to get in but once in a lot of space.

Her place is spacious and clean, and has all the amenities you could need for a comfortable week away. It is also in a great location, walking distance to all the shops and restaurants, about a 20 min drive to the bottom of Snowdon and within close proximity to many other beautiful hiking spots. It was the perfect place to come home to after walking all day - Thank you!

  • Catherine’s cottage was brilliant; great use of space and felt really cosy. Kitchen had everything, and we particularly liked the shower for it’s eco function (only an option, the normal setting is much higher pressure and warmer!). Perfect location to enjoy Betws-y-coed and the surrounding area, and Catherine replied to any queries immediately. Would (and very likely will) stay here again, thanks Catherine!

  • Great cottage in a great location - so easy to walk into Betws-y-coed to explore, great mountain bike trails on doorstep and only short walk from the Fforest Coaster! Cottage cosy and warm thanks to electric heaters even on cold October mornings and extra heater in bathroom ensures getting out of warm shower not a shock! Comfy bed, lovely sitting area and small table in kitchen meant we had everything we needed and we were able to keep our bikes safe under the stairs! Catherine was a great host, quick to respond to communication and very happy to help. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again!

  • Small and cosy, if you’re over 6’3 it might be a bit small, but it’s a gorgeous little place to stay in with a really comfortable and cosy feel. Lord Fonty the cat is a bit cheeky but friendly and curious, really giving the place some character. I stayed here with my boyfriend and we honestly couldn’t have been happier. There are some great recommendations for food and tea nearby with one of our favourites being the conwy falls cafe which does some wonderful halloumi.

Great host, great place to stay for two – can't complain, really. We even got a nice welcome from a nosy fur-neighbour.

  • We stayed at the nook for 2 nights on a winter break in snowdonia. The property is perfectly located for visiting betws-y-coed or further into snowdonia and mt snowdon. After a very simple, instructive check in, everything was very clean, the cottage had excellent amenities and even had some treats left for us which we really appreciated. We used the nook as a base to explore snowdonia and it was ideal for this due to its central location. Thank you Jodie, for welcoming us and being a great host. M+A

Draig Bach (Little Dragon) is a traditional Welsh cottage with a contemporary feel. Charmingly restored, original features such as log burner and traditional stone have been retained whilst a modern, stylish kitchen and bathroom have been added. The cottage is in the centre of the charming village of Penmachno in the Snowdonia National Park, a stone's throw from the village pub and with spectacular Welsh countryside on the doorstep. There are beautiful walks and outdoor activities close by.
Penmachno is a friendly village in the quiet and beautiful Machno valley, part of the Snowdonia National Park. The village has a welcoming pub, just a stone's throw from the cottage, which serves a range of real ales and hosts quiz nights (check their website www.eaglespenmachno.co.uk for opening hours). The valley has an abundance of walks and trails that will allow you to explore the spectacular countryside and provide opportunities for birdwatching, mountain biking, horse riding and other outdoor activities. Nearby are opportunities for more unusual activities including zip wiring, lake surfing or tours of the historic slate mines. The nearest town (5 miles) is Betws-y-Coed which has a choice of cafes, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. Just a little further afield is the breathtaking North Wales coast with towns like Porthmadog and Llandudno and a choice of beautiful beaches just a short, scenic drive away. If castles are your thing then you are spoilt for choice with Conwy, Caernarfon, Criccieth and Harlech all within a 25 miles radius.
  • Amazing stay at Draig Bach. Milk, butter and jams provided in the kitchen. cozy place with log burner which you are able to use. Super close to exploring snowdonia and penchanmo is a lovely village. Bets-y-cowd is also beautiful which is a 10 minute drive away. We had the best time!

  • We had a lovely few days stay at Oscar's place. Oscar really goes out of his way to make sure that you are comfortable and well informed. It is a Lovely and clean place that was a real cosy treat to enjoy on a rainy few days. The Log burner really adds to the atmosphere of the place. Great location with picturesque walks. Have a look around the church just over the road. It was interesting to see its collection of old stones going back to the 7th century and find out more about Penmachno.

    Nicola2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Location, amenities, the personal touches were all perfect to make this a great 2 night stay. The village is full of friendly folk and The Eagle is literally a stone's throw for that well earned pint. Communication from our host was first class. If you are looking for a well appointed cosy cottage this is the place.

    Paul2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Myself, my fiancé, and my (big) dog Galgan had a wonderful time at Oscar’s cottage. He left us some delicious biscuits, and was an incredibly attentive host being always contactable and making sure all was well when a rally and a storm were due to happen during our stay. Although the cottage is small it is the perfect size for two and a pet- or a dog the size of another person. The log burner really completes the coziness, we were never cold. Whilst penmachno is tiny, being only 10 mins away from Betws-y-Coed means that you enjoy peace and quiet but also all the eateries, shops, and walks. I couldn’t recommend Draig Bach and Oscar enough!

    Tabatha2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Loved mountain biking and the log burner was great in the evenings! A perfectly relaxing weekend in this cosy cottage. Would definitely recommend if you love the outdoors!

  • Drain Bach is a beautiful little college situated in the heart of Snowdonia with Betws-y-coed a short car ride away. The cottage was beautifully presented and immaculately clean. Would recommend to anyone looking for a getaway into the hills.

  • Oscar's cottage is a fantastic place to stay in Snowdonia. The place was exceptionally clean and tidy, and the furniture is stylish and modern. The log burner is a nice touch and makes the cottage feel very cosy. Plenty of wood was provided for the fire and the kitchen was well stocked with tea and coffee facilities. Located in the village of Penmachno, the cottage is a stone's throw from a traditional pub, the Eagles Bunkhouse, a small local shop, and a short drive from to Betws-y-coed. I would recommend the Hanging Pizzeria in Betws-y-coed if you are looking for nice, good value food. We used Oscar's as a place to visit ZipWorld slate caverns, which is about a 30 minute drive from the property. Oscar is a great host, all communication I had with him was fast and informative. Overall, I had a great stay and would throughly recommend Oscar's place to others.

We have 1 Sleeping Hut with a comfy bed and a wood burner and the other Hut has a Toilet/Shower and Kitchenette. We now also have a Pod added to them, which has a double bed and 2 futons. They are on our Farmland in beautiful countryside overlooking the Magnificent Snowdonia Mountains. A new addition to our Huts and Pod is a wood fired Hot Tub. We have a Luvtub suitable for 2 people and also a bigger Hot tub for a party of 4-6
The Huts and Pod are unique because they are situated on their own in a little corner of our farm land, they overlook the Magnificent Snowdonia Mountains . We rent the Huts and Pod out all together or on their own, so we have room for 2-6 people.
It is a Farming neighbourhood, we love living here, we tend to take for granted how lucky we are of where we live, especially having the views which change every day.
  • Absolutely fabulous stay in the Siabod Huts! Idyllic location, gorgeously cosy and intimate huts, the wood burner in the bedroom was perfection. The hot tub was just the icing on the cake. Even in the middle of Storm Jorge, the wine and beer flowed nicely in our 45 degree late night bathe! Fab location with Betws-y-coed one side of us and Llanwryst on the other. An unforgettable anniversary weekend for myself and the OH. We will be back xxx

    Gemma2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so much to Menna and her family for the great adventure!!! At start she is very flexible with arrival and leaving time. When we arrived she got the hot tub ready and she also placed some egg and Wales cookies (witch were amazing by the way) in the kitchen. Menna gave us a heads up about the forecast as it’s going to be stormy and rainy. She offered us to change the date if we would like to, witch not many other host would do at the last minute. The hut was perfect in any weather! Thank you , And probably see you again!

    Viktoria2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • From arrival to departure, we had amazing stay at Menna’s Siabod Huts! Two days before we were due to arrive we were contacted by Menna expressing concern for us and travelling to the huts due to storm Dennis, fortunately she had recently had someone else stay during a storm and assured us that they felt perfectly safe, so we decided to go anyway! From the moment we arrived we could all tell we were in for a treat, Menna greeted us and walked us down a small path to the huts (just opposite their lovely farm). Menna had already warmed up both the cabin and the pods for us and most importantly our hot tub!! We didn’t have great visibility for the views during the night but they are absolutely stunning in the light and the hot tub/s are a real gem. Both the cabins and the pod were perfectly clean, uncluttered and fit for purpose, we were never wanting for anything and there are plenty of lovely little individual touches which we enjoyed. Menna is very attentive, she left us some lovely fresh farm eggs and welsh biscuits, kept good communication but wasn’t intrusive at all and was very happy to teach us how to set up the hot tub for the second night. There was plenty of fire wood in various boxes too. Menna is a wonderful host and we cannot thank her enough for a truly brilliant stay. We spent two lovely days in the huts and will one hundred percent be returning for another visit soon, we couldn’t recommend booking the huts enough! Thank you again Menna!

    Becky2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Menna is an amazing host. She went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing stay - even with a major passport mishap along the way! The huts are lovely, remote & offer the most amazing views. After a walk up Snowdon, you can’t beat relaxing in a hot tub, surrounded by amazing scenery, and a sky full of stars. For my first trip to Wales, I couldn’t have hoped for anything more!

    Claudia2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful two night stay here. Even in the middle of storm Brendan we were safe and cosy inside the huts, and even managed to sneak in a dip in the hot tub - which was very warm! The log burner makes sure the hut is warm even in extremes of weather like we had. Menna and her husband are great hosts, and we really enjoyed the eggs and biscuits that were left for us. We had everything we needed for cooking in the kitchen and the shower had plenty of hot water. The huts are situated just a 10 minute drive from Llanwrst and the local pub, and just 20-30 minutes away are Betws-y-coed and Conwy. Not to mention the spectacular views from the huts. We hope to see you again in better weather! Thanks Menna :)

Bron Nant means on the brow of the hill beside the stream. This aptly describes this lovely holiday cottage situated three miles from Betws-y-Coed in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. The cottage lies at an elevation of approximately seven hundred and fifty feet above sea level. Facing south west it offers views of the hills and peaks. Stunning sunsets can be enjoyed through out the year. Situated beside a lovely stream with large mountain pool for swimming and canoeing.
Beautiful garden with mountain pool and stream which can be used for swimming and canoeing with guest supervision and care.
Very peaceful secluded remote location with scattered neighbors and farms. Surrounded by sheep and wild life.
  • We stayed here for 3 days in December and found it excellent. The wood fire was lovely and everything worked very well together - we had no complaints and would absolutely visit again!

  • Fantastic hosts who have put their passion for this beautiful location into creating a super-cosy space for friends or family to explore the beauty of Snowdonia. The cottage is well equipped and the photos do it justice- location and views are fab. Appreciate the fact that the hosts keep it affordable for families during peak season, but even in off season or bad weather this is a really cute place to be. Bring the right clothes and get outside, or pack the board games and settle in. We loved it!

Self catering facilities with complimentary tea and coffee in a large well equiped kitchen. Seriously hot showers, freshly cooked food for individuals or groups who do not wish to prepare their own and a great bar for entertainment.
  • Cheap and cheerful. Excellent location, plenty to do in the area. Rooms basic but clean and comfortable. The breakfast is very good and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend!

  • Neil is great! I would only caution people who book via AirBnB to wait to purchase anything else until you have a confirmation from Neil. We booked the accommodation and then booked train tickets. Afterward, the hostel told us (within a few hours, thankfully) that even though we booked successfully, he didn't have a room for us for one of the nights. So you'll need to confirm with him before you buy anything else. Great hostel, beside my shower, which I couldn't get warm. Neil is super friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming! A good experience!

Listen to the stream as you lie in bed at night, catch the warmth of the morning sun as you enjoy your breakfast, watch our resident barn owl as he hunts over the meadowland and remember to look up at night - there's no light pollution here so the starry sky is breathtaking.
There's a reason North Wales is known as the Outdoor Adventure Capital of Europe. Snowdonia National Park is famous the world over for its awe-inspiring mountains, breathtaking scenery, stunning lakes, rivers and waterfalls. It's a natural playground for any lover of the outdoors and, as if that weren't enough, we now have a range of new attractions to add a new edge of excitement to any visit here. ZipWorld have brought us the world's fastest zip wire & the only Alpine Coaster Ride in the UK; Go-Below Underground Adventures are almost our neighbours & will look after you as you descend the world's longest underground zip wire in the world on the UK's scariest assault course! If you prefer staying above ground but don't mind getting wet you can always surf in the mountains at Surf Snowdonia - the UK's only inland surf lagoon.
  • I urge you to go here!! If sitting by a roaring fire, hearing the stream running by and looking up at the stars doesn’t make you unwind, then I don’t know what will. It exceeded our expectations. It was clean, private, well catered and comfortable. The hosts gave us great local insight and they’re just overall lovely people! Wish we could have stayed longer!

  • Great stay at these Shepards huts in Snowdonia. We cycled the Penmancho mountain bike trail while we were there and it was perfect to come back to a warm Sauna afterwards! Thanks again for having us.

  • A glamping experience that you will remember. Enjoyed our stay here around the campfire every night. Log fires to keep the place warm, a great fire pit and outdoor kitchen.

Bryn Mwllach is a delightful detached Grade II listed stone cottage, set in a peaceful haven of 17 acres of oak woodland and pasture with a small stream, cascading down a 20ft rock face just visible from the back door.
Two bedrooms (one with full size adult bunk beds in an 'L' shape formation) reached by narrow (but not steep) stairs. Cosy lounge with period furniture and a log burner in an inglenook, kitchen-diner and bathroom (bath with shower over) are all on the ground floor, all with original slate flooring and rugs. The garden in the vicinity of the cottage is enclosed, but older children will enjoy the freedom to explore the surrounding woods and streams, which is a wider private garden. Facilities include storage heaters in all rooms, washing machine, fridge-freezer,  microwave, DVD, payphone, electric blankets and garden furniture. WiFi internet access. Electricity included in the tariff. An initial supply of logs will be provided, bed linen and towels are provided.
The cottage is the last property on the small country lane, meaning no through traffic and real privacy can be enjoyed. There is only a public footpath which runs through the grounds, this is scarcely visible from the house, which walkers use infrequently.
  • The cottage is like a fairytale, so quiet and peaceful where it is. We didn't come across anyone for 24 hours. Inside it is well decorated to fit the feel and once you get the fire going well heated (there is some central heating which helps). There are many little touches like fresh firewood, heated blankets in the bed and coffee and biscuits waiting which made for extra comfort. The only thing not working was the WiFi and Tele but this could be down to recent flooding. The shower is a little quick to run out of water but we didn't feel it affected our stay in anyway. We look forward to returning to a beautiful place

  • Lovely cottage in a beautiful and quiet area. Wood stove was really helpful to take the chill off on a winter day. Simon provides wood for the first day and has bags of wood you can purchase after that. Modern and well equipped kitchen and bathroom, comfortable bed with mattress warmer for cold nights. At the end of the road surrounded by woods and meadows. 5 minute walk from Pont-y Pant train station ( stop by request only). I never heard any trains in five days I was there. Cottage is 30 minute drive from Mt. Snowdon Trail, and has lots of walking tracks right near by. Despite snow and rain on everyday, I had some sun breaks and did plenty of walking. I’d love to rerun!

  • Great location - take some wellington boots so you can explore the surrounding area.

    Ceri2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was very cosy with beautiful surroundings. We had a lovely visit and there was lots of walking and biking to do nearby. We especially enjoyed sitting by the fire in the evenings

  • We had a lovely Christmassy stay at this cosy cottage. It’s in beautiful location and is full of character. Especially appreciated the gigantic fire and electric blanket in the cold weather. Would recommend a visit to Fairy Glen Gorge and nearby Conwy whilst there. Thanks for a great stay.

    Carmel2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is an enchanting, beautiful location set in a beautiful forest. The cottage is completely private yet easilly found and accessed from local roads. We arrived in snow and had a week of torrential rain. We spent the week being soaked to the core, made ourselves unwell, and still enjoyed a week in this brilliant little place. My recommendation to people is bring warm clothes its pretty cold! however with the log burner and heated mattress it wont negatively affect your stay. I would recommend this location for walkers, hikers, and those wishing to see north wales and the snowdonia/gwydir parks. Diolch yn fawr

    Michael2019-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Bryn Mwllach is a quaint little cottage full of character, it is a real home from home. We loved curling up in front of the log burner in the evenings after a hearty walk. Excellent walking on your doorstep, it feels remote but there is a train station and cafe within a few minutes walk of the door. The kitchen is very well equipment and the cottage is spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.

Stay in the Self Contained East Wing of the beautiful historic Rhydlanfair Farmhouse. Rhydlanfair is a working farm and is owned by the National Trust. There has been a dwelling on this site since 1273, though the current farmhouse was built in the 18th Century. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable, and sleeps 4. Tastefully furnished throughout, features include a wood-burning stove in the living room, an attractive French rosewood bed, and views over the surrounding farmland.
The house, which at one time was an inn, has many original features and is situated on the edge of Thomas Telford's historic London to Holyhead stage coach route, now known as the A5. Sarah and Tom farm cattle, sheep and keep donkeys on this upland farm, and there is a delightful farm trail which winds its way around the farm, and is exclusively available to guests of Rhydlanfair.
Rhydlanfair is very easily accessed and is situated just a short drive from Betws y Coed, the Gateway to Snowdonia, where shops, pubs, restaurants and a wealth of outdoor activities can be found. Activities that are close on hand include a well maintained 9 hole golf course, the family friendly Zip World Forest, plus a dry ski slope at the area’s renowned outdoor centre in Capel Curig. For those looking for something a little different there are tours down some of the many disused mines of the region and these can be booked at the nearby ‘Go Below’ underground adventure centre. The area also offers a wide array of possibilities for cyclists, for both the adrenaline junkies and for those who just want to enjoy a leisurely cycle ride in the breath-taking scenery of Snowdonia. Rhydlanfair is an excellent spot from which to visit other attractions in North Wales such as Zip World and Surf Snowdonia, plus of course our spectacular mountains, lakes and beaches. Hill walking, horse riding, rock climbing and canoeing can all be enjoyed from this easily accessible yet quiet location. There are also several historic buildings in the area, including Gwydir Castle near Llanrwst, and Ty Mawr, Wybrnant near Penmachno as well as various heritage railways, which are always popular with visitors. A half hour car ride will take you sites where you can walk (or train ride!) to the famous summit of Snowdon. A pleasant 40 minute drive following the Conwy river down the valley will lead you to the historic walled medieval garrison town of Conwy and its 13th century Castle built by Edward I. Beyond the world heritage site of Conwy lies the Victorian seaside town of Llandudno, which boasts not only two beaches and the longest pier in Wales, but also a wealth of other activities including ski-slope, cable cars, theatre, swimming pool, shopping centre and cinema.
  • A great place to go and relax, spacious and with everything we needed in a great location for Snowdonia. Would very happily stay there again.

  • Really comfortable, quiet, spotless and welcoming. Handy for all Snowdonia activities. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Recommended.

  • Tom and his family are lovely and make you feel right at home. The house is not too far from the main road and overlooks beautiful rolling hills with animals and the weather all on show. The house is old but cosy and adds to the overall charm of the place. It was a great generous stay and we truly felt a part of the farm with lambs and puppies coming up to say hi as the sun set. A beautiful property from beautiful people. Truly great value from a generous Wales family.

    Matt2018-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, beautiful old farmhouse. Spotlessly clean, modern bathroom with great shower, cosy fire, really well equipped kitchen - everything you need. Loved the old building. It was perfect for us to come back to after hard day in hills. Highly recommended.

  • We had such a lovely time at Tom's Cottage! The place is exceptionally well equipped and located perfectly to explore beautiful Snowdonia. Tom made communication very easy and was very helpful with everything (Check-In times,...). We would definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a peaceful as well as cozy get-away :)

  • A wonderful holiday home in a fantastic location. We loved staying in this beautiful old Welsh farmhouse, which is secluded but only 3 miles from the town of Betws-y-coed and shops and restaurants. There’s also a lovely cafe only a mile away. The children had a great time in the ‘secret’ cellar playroom, and I really enjoyed the local farm walk. It’s about 20 mins drive to the mountains and there are many great walks there too - Snowden is about 25 mins away. We really enjoyed our stay, the house was clean and warm, and we’d love to visit again.

  • This is the most beautiful, well-equipped cottage in a fabulously rural location and yet only a few miles from Betws-y-Coed and with the mountains of Snowdonia easily reached. Eirian is a thoughtful host and the cottage offers everything we could have needed or wanted.

  • Great place - quite, large, everything you need. Couldn’t fault it !

    Greg2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Eiran’s place is absolutely charming, with a rich history, this stay was absolutely a country experience we wanted, with a warm fireplace and chickens in a coop to watch/feed, my kids absolutely enjoyed their farm stay. Betws-y-coed is also a stone’s throw away from the cottage and we had a car that brought us further to see sights in Snowdonia. Eiran was also extremely helpful and helped us book our Santa train tickets last minute so that our kids could enjoy a steam train experience with Santa, his elves and their presents at Caernarfon. We are truly blessed to have her as our host and would recommend anyone who would like to stay at her beautiful house to contemplate no further. Thank u Eiran for making our holiday an unforgettable one.

Then there was nothing better than coming back to a warm cosy fire in the evening best enjoyed with a glass of wine!

  • Had a great stay, thanks!

    Mark2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is a cozy home in a village not far from Betws-y-Coed. My partner and I chose it because we wanted to explore Snowdonia, and most of what we wanted to see was within an hour's drive of here (in different directions). The space was perfect for the two of us: the bed was comfortable, and we enjoyed a fire on two of the nights of our stay. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinners at the house instead of going out every night. Although cellular reception was nonexistent in Penmachno, I was pleased to find that the WiFi was pretty fast! Finding parking was kind of a luck/timing game. There are limited spaces available, as the roads are quite narrow, and we had to walk a few minutes down the road on a couple of occasions, but it wasn't a big deal. Leaving my car in the lane of the road always makes me a bit nervous, but everyone seems to be used to it, and everything ended up being fine of course. Not much else to say here! We enjoyed our stay, and would be happy to stay here again if we're ever back in the area.

    Jeremy2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy cottage in a small village in Snowdonia. Great location for mountain bike trails and walking. Had everything we needed, sadly too warm to use the woodburner!
