It was a lovely week spent in Malta. Being a guest of Ray made our stay really incredible. It is said that people make place better and I can totally confirm that! Ray and Petra as our hosts helped us a lot in different situations. They are friendly and have a good sense of humour :) They gave us a lot of useful advices how to spend our time, after the accident that happened to me they offered pills and they even took us by car to the swimming pool because I was unable to walk. Ray's apartment was pretty close to perfection: spacious, fully equipped, with large and comfy bedrooms. Every morning he made breakfast for us and from the first moment he was nice and ready to help. Location is also pretty good, in the north-east part of the island, very close to the bus stop to La Valletta, St. Julian and the airport. All in all, a recommended accommodation for a relaxing time in beautiful Malta.

Amazing, Ray and his wife were excellent! As me being me I went to the wrong bus stop, Ray kindly gave me the right directions to find his place, they even stayed late just waiting for me. Very accommodating, had a nice chat over dinner with them, and then went to my room. Room was spotless. Everything you could ever need. Rays wife makes breakfast every morning, that's amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and probably will consider coming back. Thank you!

To start the review, I must say that Ray didn't even remember that we were coming the day that we arrived even though we had sent him the flight details prior to our arrival. He managed to 'clean' our room in under 5 minutes just after the other guests had just left it. The place was overall dirty ( this is the nicest word that can be used in this case ) and not very well organized. He did not even change our towels even though he was supposed to change them every 3 days. We were supposed to have access to the living room and kitchen, but unfortunately no such thing ever happened since at least 6 more people were using them. In order to get to any beach, you have to catch a bus which stops around 500 meters away from the apartment. The worst thing is, there is no walking alleys, you have to go through the construction sights in order to get to the bus stop. The nearest beach is at least 20-30 min away with the bus. Overall not happy with our stay at Ray's lodge, maybe it was just the circumstances that were against us..

My hosts were very welcoming and made me feel part of the family. They have a cute little dog who is friendly and polite. They gave me useful information to travel around the island and to reach their place, in spite of the road works that made it difficult to find one's way. The room and the house are clean and tidy, Ray and Petra take care about every little detail, such as plug adaptor and water in the room. Breakfast is abundant and good. It was a pleasant experience

Neville has facilitated our. Check booking us a transference with driver who came to pick up at the airport. He also welcomed at 11.30 even though the check-in was for 15. The apartment, spacious, clean and comfortable is near the waterfront and the ferries to Gozo and Comino. Neighbors even grocery stores. We were very good. Excellent Wi-Fi which served much.

We had a lovely stay in the apartment, it was spacious and close to all amenities. Luckily we were spotted in the way in and shown to the room and provided with all the information we needed. It was great to have all the towels and bedding ready to hand although the pillows were too large to use. We took advantage of the cooking facilities available which cut the cost down however some pots and and pans were dirty. I will be reviewing accommodation in Sliema https://www.airbnb.com.mt/rooms/800945?sug=51 We were told by the host that we had been 'upgraded' and given another place in St Paul's bay. Upon spending a night there, it was not as central as we would have liked and requested to have our original apartment in Bugibba. However, we were told it was not available and offered a place in Sliema. This was quite inconvenient. The Sliema accommodation was in a great location and was very spacious. Recommend to stay here. Must bring own shampoo, laundry detergent as we had to request toilet paper, detergent and soap. The owner did respond quickly to queries and provided tickets to Comino due to the above accommodation change. I appreciated how proactive he was in trying to rectify issues.

Apartment is brand new(~2015) and well equipped: washing mashine, iron, fully equipped kitchen, TV, very fast internet, fan in each room,etc. There is an elevatior in the building. Location is awesome: ~50m to bus stops, ~100m from sea coast (we had a sea view from all rooms in the apartment), plenty of bars/stores nearby. The service was outstanding: we had our flight in the middle of the night - not a problem, they even helped us with the taxi to the airport. You will enyoy your holidays in this apartment ;)

Neville and Ruth are two people kind and helpful: they came to get me in and I was taken back to the bus terminal to the end of the holiday; they gave me lots of useful information about Malta and gave me everything I needed for my stay. The apartment is equipped with all the comforts, in a quiet but close to the sea and to all amenities (restaurants, supermarkets, banks etc.) I really liked the large terrace where I could stay cool in the evening for a drink or dinner with friends. I felt almost at home may want to try! I hope to return next year ;-)

It's been a lovely staying . The apartment very clean ,close to the shops ,diving school Scubatech,close to bus stop to go anywhere sightseeing and Adrian the host he's been very kind and always there if we need him . Fantastic spacious modern apartment- central, but quiet street. Excellent communication and friendly hosts! Would highly recommend.

Steve was a great host, he kept in touch and the flat was as described. The flat was a great size, tidy, plenty of towels, decent size fridge also for storing cold drinks and several balconies with far reaching views so you can watch sun rise and sun set. It was a great location for all the places we wanted to see / visit and there's a local mini market/snack shop immediately across the street open much of the day. The corner cafe also is just less than a minute away.

Firstly, this place is great for exploring north Malta, especially beaches, Gozo and Comino. Near to bus stations. Also there's a lot of markets. The flat has very high standard. The best thing is two big balcony with beautiful view. Owners are nice and helpfull.

Steve was a brilliant host! Lovely guy and easy to communicate with. Had a great week in his modern penthouse. Would return 100%

Our holidays was very pleasant. Good flat with nice bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom. The only drawback of the flat was the door (to enter in the corridor) which was hard to unlock... But we were lucky with that fortunately Thank you for our stay.

The apartment is nice, clean and confortable, however it was just located above a bar and it was noise during the night so we had to close the balcony doors and put the fan on. A part from that, the apartment and Joseph were very nice, welcoming and he helpes us with every doubt we had.

Joseph was friendly and helpful. Brand new furnishings and equipment. Not on the sea but only 2 minutes walk to a supermarket, restaurants, night life and the sea. Very convenient for bus transport, including the bus interchange. (Bus X3 from the airport takes 1 .5 hours at the time of writing). The photos were not accurate and the unit we had was not the one advertised or booked. We booked a one bedroom unit on the strength of the photos but were given a 2 bedroom unit, which would have been very cosy for 4, with an uncomfortable 2 seater couch that was nothing like the photo. There isn't a reception desk, so Joseph texted the door code. Unfortunately we did not have WIFI so this was a real hassle, make sure you contact Joeseph well before arrival if you think you will be late. If you want a double bed make sure you request it.

For our apartment we have mixed filings, so make your own decision based on list below. Advantages: -relatively low price (220 E for 10 days for 2 persons) -nice stuff (they answered mails, sms, explained all quickly and politely) -good equipment (all things listed on the website were accessible and brand new) -nice room design, new furniture -good wi-fi connection Disadvantages: -photos do not present your exact room: for us it wasn’t important if the coach is blue or green, but we have seen on the photos beautiful view from windows and our windows on the ground floor went on…inner yard and dust bin and it was dark because lack of dayli light :( - so if you want rent a room form this offer make sure that you have proper photos cos it is not really a private home but a lot of different apartments in different standard (not equipment but localization) -nasty localization of the building - nasty area, next to huge abandoned hotel -poor localization of the room - ground floor, all windows went to inner yards, no balcony so it wasn’t possible to make your laundry dry, it was dark all the time and unpleasant -cold and humid temperature in the room - I was waiting 3 days till socks come dry after washing them, other items like towels were all the time wet and cold - you can borrow air-conditioning but it will higher your price -noisy room - you here everything that is in the room, and in the others rooms as well -poor TV connection - TV stopped all the time, went off and so on, it was annoying, nothing change after “reparation” - we basically wasn’t in the room but in the evenings this was really inconvenient -poor water tension - it wasn’t nice to have a shower in the cold bathroom when water barely trickles

We were warmly welcomed by Pauline, Joseph's wife and she is a very kind person and Joseph too. They were reactive and very helpful during our stay in the apartment. Central suite very well located in Qawra near the coast,restaurants and supermarkets , clean and all you need is available (towels, plates, (URL HIDDEN) quantity...). We had a very good stay here. we were in the apartment of Neville for a long time and we were very pleased with the welcome we 'was reserved. Neville and his entire staff, friendly and personable and very polite were attentive to all our needs and requests for whatever we needed just ask and resolved within 24 hours. I must admit that the accommodation and a bit 'dated but cozy and in a beautiful location and convenient to everything We are very happy with our choice Thanks for everything Neville who knows that we meet again

Neville and his team were excellent and gave us lots of tips of places to see. The place was really large and in an excellent location for exploring Malta.

I rented the place for 3 months from September to December while I was studying in Malta. The place has simple standards, and is just like on the pictures. Don't expect anything fancy. But it is ideal for short stays. Neville and Ruth did everything in order to give us the best experience. I really liked the surroundings as the place was near the promenade and close to the center of Bugibba. There are many spots where you can enjoy the sun and take a swim.

Caroline and her daughter are very friendly people. They told us a lot about their country and they have been a good company.

The pictures do not correspond at all to the description. The terrace for example is not at all private and you have to climb a floor to reach it. In addition, the apartment is very dark and there is no window that overlooks the sea or the street. We had the impression of being immured. The wifi is supposed to be free in the ad and ask you 15 euros to use it when you arrive, big scam !!! Finally to finish, no towel available, no garbage bags, tableware was dirty and some appliances were not working. We are very disappointed by this provision.

In order to clear details we had e-mail contacts with Reka with enjoyable quick replays. So we rent the apartment for 2 month (Sept. and Nov. 2014). At our arrival we were deeply disappointed to see that the apartment was not clean at all. We immediately wrote an e-mail to Reka and ask her to clear the situation. We also ask to meet her. 2 days later: still no answer. We used these 2 days to clean the apartment completely, incl. the kitchen tools, in order to make it livable. On our second e-mail we received an answer from Reka: I didn't receive the e-mail that you are talking about! Sorry about your trouble, I am abroad, so I cannot meet you in person today, I will send someone over to clean the whole apartment as soon as she can go. In the mean time we had good contacts with the owner of the apartment. His daughter provides us cleaning tools and helped us to solve the remaining problems. After this we had some mail contacts with Reka but apparently it was not possible to meet her during our 2 months stay in St. Paul’s Bay! In our opinion more (pro)active engagement would have been appropriate. Good home, well located apartment, terrace overlooking the sea ....

We was in the last December Week in Rekas Appartment. It was nice and very clean. Reka was always available and very helpful. We can highly recommend her. The Appartment is in a nice Area, direct by the Seafront. Bus Station is direct in the Opposite, Restaurants and Bars are very close to the Appartment. The Big Roof Terasse was very, very nice. So we enjoyed our stay in Rekas Appartment.

PROS: - the apartment is extremely close to the beach and the central square of Bugibba. - neighborhood is plain and quiet, so is the apartment building. - plenty of extra bathroom towels - very easy to communicate with the host and resolve various issues from late check in/out to certain amenties and booking a taxi to and from the airport, as well as other useful tips about tourism in the region. CONS: - Blind costs - I've travelled to tens of countries on three different continents and this is the first time I've been asked to pay for electricity and water separately, depending on consumption. I don't mind paying for it, it's the owner's right, I just think that an average mean can be calculated and included in the total price of the apartment. It's frustrating for me to start calculating things and make plans based on costs that are not transparent and not known to me until the final few minutes of my stay. This added to the extra fee for late check out (which was not stated in the listing either, it only stated flexible check in/out, not that the flexibility was conditioned by an extra fee) make up for an odd blind cost and you will need to save a certain amount of money before you leave, not knowing if it will be enough or not. - Missing amenties - the listing stated that the apartment provided TV, hair dryer, iron, soap. Except for the iron, which was provided later on, upon request, the other listed amenties were not available. I didn't miss the TV or anything, but I presume that any amenty is directly reflected in the total price of the apartment, not providing them would have implied a lower price, I presume. - Missing essentials - Aside from a few drops of dish washing detergent, the apartment provides nothing else. I don't expect there to be shampoo, shower gel and olive oil, but I did expect to at least find a decent dish sponge, a pack of salt for the kitchen and a bar of soap to wash my hands if I arrive too late for any store to be open. - WiFi is deplorable - unfortunately, regardless of room, the wifi is either 2 bars, one bar and constantly disconnects. Worst internet of my entire travel history. - Inefficient AC - the AC shares a wall with one of the rooms, therefore, no matter how many hours you leave it running on minimum temperature, the room in question will not cool too much and will heat up almost immediately after you turn off the air conditioning. Given that Malta's average temperature outside in the summer is 32-33 degrees Celsius, running the AC all night or, as an alternative, running the big fans equipped in each room will make up for a noisy, windy and unconfortable sleeping environment. - Room furniture and bathroom appliances were quite dated and worn.

We enjoyed our stay a lot. Some details below. - We were offered help with airport transport. - Hosts offered 19l watter bottles. This is cheap and very convenient solution since tap water is not very good for drinking in Malta. - They live just down the stairs so with any problem you can reach them easily. - Hosts are helpful (will give you info about what to see and where to go in Bugibba and Malta in general) and very friendly. All other things exactly as in the desciption.

Adrian è stati sempre presente e gentile fin dalla prenotazione. Ci ha poi accolto Carolina, sua sorella che non ci ha fatto mancare nulla. È stata sempre dispinibile e tempestiva a soddisfare ogni richiesta. La casa è ampia ed esattamente come appare nelle foto. Posizione centralissima. Tutto è andato per il meglio!
