This room has been wiped down with Clorox. All linens and towels are washed in Clorox products. Simple, fresh, calm and 14 miles from the entry of The Salt Basin Dunes of the Guadalupe National Park. 1/2 mile from fuel, groceries, auto parts and a hardware store. Most months of the year, it is surrounded by alfalfa and chile fields. Welcome! 1 block east of Main st. on Verde Street in the Big Turquoise building. The West Patio entrance is the door closest to the 9 foot Rooster!
This is a private quiet resting space after a day in the caverns or hiking the Peak. THe room is not set up for cooking of any sort but there are table and chairs on your very large shaded patio where you can bring food from our two restaurants or from the Pizza Pro.
A very quiet farming community. Lights out in town usually at 9 pm! But we're all up at 5 am. The Rositas restaurant opens at 6 am for Huevos Rancheros. Located on Main Street at the paved intersection. Spanish Angels Cafe has the best hamburgers.
  • Great place - really cool building, comfortable space, and located right in the middle of Dell City (for what that's worth). Was a great place to stay for exploring the Guadalupe Mountains area. Would absolutely return if we're back in the area!

  • If you're visiting the Guadalupe Mountains National Park, this is a great place to stay. Nicely updated and just what you need, plus, if you're looking for a bed and bath.

  • A very charming, comfortable place to stay. A nice place to come back to rest after hiking all day

  • Nice place to stay when visiting the Guadalupe Mountains.

  • Very nice. Well worth the price.

  • Laura is an excellent host. The veranda was amazing - cool and with a fantastic view of the mountains. The folks at Spanish Angel's were welcoming and opened up one evening just for our dinner. Dell City is unique and lush.

  • Lovely place for a couple to stay. The room had everything we needed. It was a great home base as we explored Guadalupe Mountains NP, Carlsbad Caverns NP, and Lincoln National Forest. We also visited Hueco Tanks State Park (be sure to make guided tour reservations in advance). We ate breakfast at Rosita's and it was delicious. We highly recommend watching sunset at the sand dunes at the end of Williams Road in Dell city. Laura was super responsive to our inquiries throughout our stay.

    Amy2019-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • Fun place to stay. Just be aware that there isn't a bathroom door, but we just stepped outside for a few minutes to give each other some privacy.

This is a small comfortable room with a full size bed. A large sitting porch is outside the door as well as a ping pong table. The location is on So. Main Street at Lewis as you come into the town of Dell City. Main Street is also known as 1437. No cooking or washing dishes in the room or anywhere on the patio. Enjoy our 2 restaurants.
This was a popular Motel in the 1950s. I remodeled it in 2017-2018 and it is fresh, modern and peaceful.
This is a tiny farming town, pop 287. There is no bar in town and pretty much everyone turns in for the night by 830 PM. The work day starts before 5 AM, so there is no night life.
  • Laura was a great host with communication and flexibility. The place was wonderful and clean.

    Brianna2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • I loved my stay at the Z! The room was sparkling clean and had everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable and the heater worked great. The location is also perfect: close to a lovely town with lovable locals. It is so peaceful in Dell City, and the motel has a patio view on a gorgeous sunrise every morning. Laura, the host, is a sweetheart. She is incredibly helpful and generous, and has such talent for remodelling. I definitely recommend staying in any of her rooms! She’ll take good care of you.

  • Laura's place was an easy spot from which to explore the nearby park! Not a lot of options for lodging in this area and she has done a nice job of creating a welcoming space!

  • Perfect location for a remote experience with heat and air! Short drive to Guadalupe moutains and calsband National parks

    Kayla2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean space. Outstanding hospitality.

    Blake2019-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Z is great. Super easy to find. Dell City is not even micro, it's nano. Which is fine, because you're probably going for the same reason I did- Guadalupe Mountains National Park. Be very aware, that you're out in a remote, desolate location that doesn't offer city convenience. There are 2 gas stations in Dell City and 2 restaurants. Other than that, you're looking at 100+ miles to El Paso west, 50+ miles south to Van Horn or 50+ miles east to Carlsbad. There are a few small corner stores in Dell City to buy basic staples. Other than Whites City, NM at the Carlsbad Caverns, Dell City is the closest town to Guadalupe. It's about a 40 minute drive from Z to the park. Maybe more if you don't drive as fast in the desert as me. Carlsbad Caverns is spitting distance over the state line, about an hour away. So don't see Guadalupe and skip Carlsbad. It's a jaw dropping spectacle of a cave. Z is a funny place. The pink building with lawn flamingos in the middle of the desert among sprawling alfalfa fields had me thinking I was in some David Lynch movie. Make sure to down some beers and hang out on the swing, and gaze at the mountains while the sun sets behind you. Oh, one last thing. If you go to Spanish Angels or Rosita's for breakfast, if you don't have lunch planned for the park, go ahead and do yourself a favor. Buy a breakfast burrito to go and keep it in your burrito compartment in your backpack for later. No food or drinks sold at Guadalupe. You'll be thanking yourself later when you're hiking the park working up an appetite.

  • Appealing and clean, very close to Guadalupe national park.

    Tristanna2019-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Our host provided excellent communication and some great tips on where to eat in town. The room is small with basic amenities, but it was clean and quiet and all we needed as a base for our hiking adventure in the nearby Guadalupe Mountains. I would definitely recommend this place!

This 1950s former motel looks out on a huge alfalfa field and the Guadalupe Mountain. The big porch is shared with rooms B,D and E. This property is about 1/2 mile from the restaurants and 2 small grocery stores.
  • The room was clean, stylish and comfortable. The view from the swing was just as pictured, a great place to unlax and enjoy the Coronas provided by Laura after our hike to the top of Guadelupe Mt.

Tranquil space: once the Mexican Baptist Church. Comfortably but sparcely appointed. Kitchen has all needed items, dishes flatware micro coffee pot toaster. Open Living, dining and kitchen space, large Master bedroom, Two Ts Grocery is the best place to get a variety of groceries and sundries -located under the Water ball on First St. Fuel is available on Main at 3rd with a credit or debit card
This is a get-away-from-it-all kinda space. Very calm and sparcely appointed. An easy trip to 4 major National Park attractions and only 1 hour 20 minutes from an international airport. See you soon.
We have a tranquil community. One good grocery store Two Ts located under the water ball on First St. , an old style hardware store, a fuel stop, mexican restaurant. This historically beautiful farming community is unique to the county. The views here are stunning, our dark night sky for stargazing is popular.
  • We stayed at Laura’s place during a few days. This is the perfect getaway for exploring GM and Carlsbad caverns.... in the middle of nowhere. The house is nice and clean with a lot of character. Laura is such great host and very reactive when needs occur. Be aware, you are in middle of nowhere so get your supplies in El Paso. No WiFi and spotty connection but great sunset view will make for it!!!

  • Charming, spacious, lovely home and location for a family, close to National Parks, attractive furnishing, very clean, host was responsive and attentive, town friendly, would highly recommend.

  • Great place to stay for our trip to Guadalupe mountain national park with a great view of the mountains! Place is big and great for a group of 4. It was clean, comfortable, and easy to find. There isn't much to do in Dell city, but it's a good place to relax after hiking in the mountains!

    Kevin2019-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • It’s hard to know where to start, as there were so many things we loved about staying at Laura’s amazing place. The location was perfect for our trips out to see Carlsbad Caverns and for our hikes in the Guadalupe Mtns. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. The beds were super comfy! We were able to enjoy the fire pit at night and make s’mores with an incredible view of the mountains. Several times throughout our stay my husband would thank me for finding and booking such a great place. If you find yourself in this part of TX looking for a place to stay, this is the place!

    Jeanette2019-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • We highly recommend Laura's adobe church. It was ready for us well before our "check in" time. The church was spotless and Laura had thought of every detail and lacked for nothing during our stay. We had room to spread out but also enjoyed coming together to play games at the dining room table each evening before bed. Our family of 4 was able to take back to back showers without running out of hot water. The beds were very comfortable. The church is about 40 minutes away from Guadalupe Mountains National Park and just over an hour to Carlsbad Caverns which is a reasonable commute for the area. We loved the quiet community and the beautiful and unique décor of the church. Each morning we'd watch a spectacular sunrise over the Guadalupe Mountains that was right outside the front door. We hated to leave.

This little house has been wiped down with Clorox and all linens and towels are washed in Clorox products. The Home was fully restored to honor the family that lived here and farmed in the Dell Valley. The style is old Mexican Pueblo. Kitchen, living room with television and lots of dvds, direct tv, a roomy bedroom and a large bath/vanity/closet area
Cozy , simple but comfortable. Queen Bed, dresser and luggage rack Oversized, lovely bathroom/vanity and closet area. TV has direct tv and there are many DVDs in living room. A natural gas grill is on the patio next door for your use, with all the grilling tools you'll need.
I like to watch our sunsets from the small volcanic cone we call Round Mountain, just a mile or so east of town. We have a little restaurant that opens at 7am every morning for Huevos Rancheros-a house specialty. The Two Ts grocery store is the best place to find a variety of food, beer, groceries and sundries-located just under the water ball on First st. Gasoline is available on Main Street at 3rd with credit or debit card.
  • We had a lot of trouble getting the door open - we were positive it was locked and were nervous, but when Laura texted me back and explained how to open it, it was all good. The house is truly a gem - it is so clean and beautifully decorated. It really felt like a luxury getaway. I hope to stay here again someday. The people in Dell City are so kind and generous, and the food at Rosita’s Cafe was incredible. Highly recommend staying here.

  • Laura’s cosy place had plenty of character and ambiance. Her decorative choices gave the cottage a relaxed friendly feel. Laura was quite to respond to all our questions. She is very friendly and neighborly, with a nice “good morning” or “how are things” when she sees you. She was a very good host.

    Robert2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • So glad we stayed here! The casita was decorated so perfectly, and it was very clean. It was the right amount of space for two people. It was convenient to Guadalupe Mountains National Park, especially the Salt Basin Dunes. Ate a great meal at Rosita’s - friendly owner and staff plus delicious homemade dishes. Would definitely stay here again!

    Hillary2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place is adorable and very convenient if you're visiting Guadalupe Mountains National Park. The town is tiny and the 2 restaurants in town are walking distance from the house. Laura was a wonderful host, called us the day of our check in to make sure we were all set and even invited us over to her new construction during our stay (unfortunately we were unable to go).

    Kristen2019-12-05T00:00:00Z

  • Lovely place, well off the beaten path yet well located for Guadalupe Mountains National Park.

    Irene2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place to stay, calm and quiet, with a great host. One grocery store nearby and a great cafe right off of 1st and main. Townsfolk are welcoming and treat you like their own.

    Travis2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • The casita was exactly as described. It was in great proximity to the Guadalupe Mountains (yes, we made it to the top of Guadalupe Peak!) After a very long day of hiking, it was so nice to relax, make dinner, and watch one of the DVDs before collapsing in the comfortable bed. We also enjoyed the grocery store 2 T's and the the two little cafes in town, Rosita's and Spanish Angels - everyone in Dell City made us feel at home. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stay here.

THis Little Lodge has been wiped down with Clorox and all linens and towels are washed in CLorox products. From Main St. in Dell City, just North of the intersection at Broadway, you'll see an Aqua building with a 1940 yellow Moline tractor parked on the west side. Cozy and simple it's good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. No children, pets or smoking. Near the Two Ts grocery, fuel on Main St at 3rd and Rosita's Cafe. Has toiletries, a TV and plenty of dvds. Happy Trails!
The space is very simple but comfortable- refrigerated heat and air conditioning, a full size bed, a large shade porch and swing. A table, 2 chairs, a full bed, fresh sheets, towels, The North Harvey has a small frig but no kitchen. From your tractor, look southwest and see the water ball. Just under it on First St is the best grocery store. Rositas Cafe is not far away.
Hmmmm where do I start regarding the neighborhood. You only have one neighbor near this little house. Our town is very small with lots of open spaces. But its a calm, quiet, early-to-bed-early-to-rise community. Although you won't find many wealthy or wise. The base of the highest Peak in Texas is a 45 min drive from here- The Guadalupe National Park.
  • Great place to stay on your way to Guadalupe Mountains. Very quiet, peaceful setting. Would stay there again. Highly recommend

    David2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • You can expect great views of the Guadalupe Mts., and there are many stars to be seen in this location. A very quiet town, and very friendly. Try Angel's cafe for breakfast. There are two cafes in town, but this one was my choice (Very good). But they close at 2:00PM. So no dinner service. There is one gas station "open" on Sunday , but don't freakout, it's unattended, and you pay by cc, at the pump. It's enough to get you to town if you find yourself low on fuel. There is a tv, but no cable. This gave me an opportunity to get out and sit on the porch swing and look at the stars. It is nice to be somewhat disconnected from the world you are accustomed too. Good AT&T service, and the hotspot on my phone was enough to get Netflix/Amazon Prime/iTunes, to run and watch something if I chose to. You will not be disappointed!!

  • Laura is a great host and these properties will only get better! Being raised in Dell City, it is so nice to have such unique and well thought out accommodations to “come home to”!! I highly recommend any of these properties!!

  • Laura was a great host and her home was nice oasis. The location was super convenient for our trips to the Guadalupe Mountains and our hike the top of Texas - my legs are still a bit sore… Laura has the gift of hospitality, very friendly and welcoming and she was available to answer any questions we had. The folks at the small grocery store that’s within easy walking distance were also super nice and made us a delicious pizza. I would stay with Laura again without hesitation.

    Todd2019-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing gem outside of the Gaudalupe Mountains national park. Super cute spot!

    Joe2019-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • I loved the North Harvey unit. Very thoughtfully designed and remodeled. I really appreciated that higher-quality materials were used throughout. Tasteful and very comfortable. Enjoyed the quietness of the place. No internet at this time, but it is good to set it aside now and then. Was impressed by this airbnb, and can easily recommend it.

  • My husband and I recently stayed at Laura's Dell City house during a visit to the Guadalupe Mountain National Park. My husband doesn't camp and coming from Houston (and wanted to be away from the city) we didn't want to find a hotel in Carlsbad. Dell City was the closest town to the park entrance (~33 minutes) that had a place to stay that wasn't just a crummy hotel and was also conveniently located to the GMNP Salt flats. The house was perfect for our needs with a mini-fridge, a comfortable sitting area and bed, and an incredibly large bathroom space. It was also stocked with 50+ DVDS that we utilized when it got dark and cold ~4:45PM every night (no kidding!) Getting in and out of the house was super-easy as Laura was very responsive to both phone calls and text messages and offered to help us if we needed anything. I would caution other travelers that the food options in Dell City are quite limited and the one restaurant is open at odd times (it was not open for dinner, at least while we were there; however we were traveling during the holiday season). There is an awesome pizza place in the small store across the road from the house where Norma made me a kick-butt vegetarian pizza! We were coming from Big Bend NP and had an ice chest full of food, so we didn't have any food issues, but I thought I would give other folks considering a visit the area a head's up. We had a GREAT time in GMNP and were very happy with Laura's house in Dell City. We got to hike all day, then sit on the porch in a quiet town and drink a beer with all the comforts of home every night. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit GMNP without roughing it in a tent or RV.

  • Laura’s place was so warm and welcoming after a cold day on the Mountains. It is a stylish space with a comfortable bed and nice warm water. Laura was communicative with the information on the local eateries. The locals are so welcoming and kind. Dell city truly is a small town with a big heart. The place to stay if you want to walk in the mountains during the day and retire to some creature comforts in the evening. Thanks Laura.

  • Stayed at Z (room E) for a 3-night trip for outdoors adventuring in the Guadalupe Mountains & Carlsbad Caverns. Laura was an exceptional host. Within 10-15 minutes of arriving (check-in process was just as described), she arrived to check on me and ask if I needed anything. She also gave me a couple of helpful tips for visiting the national parks. On my last evening, a big thunderstorm rolled through Dell City, and within 20 minutes, she again pulled in to check on me and make sure I hadn't lost power and to ask if I needed anything. The room itself was fantastic - clean, exactly as described, and the extra touch of a cold beer in the mini-fridge was much appreciated after a long day of hiking. Would highly recommend this as a launching point for exploration of this high desert area of Texas!

  • We couldn't have been happier in Laura's space. This converted motel was incredibly well done and it was the perfect place to totally unwind. Dell City is remote so expect to bring all the provisions that you need. Laura has shampoo and soap as well as coffee and tea. For food, there are two options in the town only that close midday. We chose to stay here for a change of pace and it's proximity to the national parks. Laura is an amazing host and very responsive. When we needed something or had questions she was very quick to respond. Dell city is the type of place where everyone waves hello so be prepared for a sweet hometown kind of place! Our favorite part of the stay was the view. The motel looks onto long streches of farmland and the Guadalupe mountains. While sunset was our favorite with the changing sky colors, sunrise brought a beautiful show as well. The porch swing was a great place to sit and sip a glass of wine and watch the pace of life in Dell City. We will be back and have already recommended this stellar accommodation to friends!

  • Extremely clean, quiet and well designed place. Perfect location for a view of the Guadalupe Mountains. The water kettle and mini-fridge are a definite plus, especially since the two restaurants in town close by 3pm. There is pizza at the local store until later in the evening, but be prepared! The DVD selection was great at night and the bed is comfortable. Everyone we met in town were very friendly and helpful with local recommendations. Would definitely book with Laura again.

  • This is a nice and modern motel room. We had a great view of the Guadalupe Mountains out of the picture window in the room. This is probably the closest that you can stay to the park without camping. We would stay here again!

A calm interior with sparse decor welcomes you for a peaceful trip to the Chihuahuan Desert. A big shaded porch with seating and a beautiful view of the Guadalupe Peak is just a step outside your door. This Valley of Hidden Waters is the home to beautiful farmland covered in Alfalfa, 200+ acres of vineyard and some of the best chile grown in the southwest. This 1950s Motel has 4 rooms each separately rentable. Dont strip Bed Adults only, No Pets or smoking. No cooking in the rm or porch.
This space is designed for solo travelers or couples only. No children or couch surfers. As much as I love children, my guests have asked many times if they could have a vacation with just adults on the property or on the shared porch and I have dedicated this listing to accommodate that request. Thank you, Unplug and Enjoy your get-away!
We have a great little cafe called Rositas Cafe at the intersection in town. They are open for breakfast and lunch. Usually Spanish Angels Cafe is open in the evening but they do have unpredictable hours. The Mercantile, located in front of the Napa Station will build a Pizza for you anytime until about 930 pm. Two Ts grocery s open every day except Sunday.

  • Laura is a great host! She responded quickly to all our questions. The Z was a great place to stay to enjoy the Guadalupe Mountains and the stars at night. The mountain view from the porch swing is stunning. Room D is very spacious, very clean, and contained a wide selection of DVDs. We had a great time and look forward to returning!

  • A clear focus on cleanliness in a great West Texas town in the shadows of the beautiful Guadalupe Mountains
