  • The house was great, nice and spacious. The house does share the property with another home, which has dogs, it was no issue for us - they were very friendly, but maybe something to note. The location was good as well, within minutes of many hiking spots.

  • excellent. Nevertheless, the bedding could be improved.

  • It’s awesome! I can’t say enough about this place. It’s clean, stylish, homie, and relaxing. We had my daughter’s wedding reception here and every guest that walked in the door had to stop and say oh wow

  • Great place for a family stay. It was nice how everyone had their own bed to sleep in. Loved the main table area... great for playing games after a day of hiking. Great location. Loved having the Sky Bridge Station restaurant so close! A very neat place for food and drinks. We would definitely stay here again!

  • Host really thought about things you may need. Soap, well stocked kitchen, coffee, soap, shampoo, hair dryer, there was even a red river gorge climbing route guide. Spacious with lots of sleeping arrangements for a group. 15 min. From Muirvalley, .5 miles from a quaint bar. Great spot!

    Keith2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Deena's place is amazing! Conveniently located near Muir Valley and not far from Miguel's Pizza and climb shop! Also conveniently located close to a state highway. We stayed with our family of 4 and this place could easily accommodate 8! Tons of room, Netflix and Hulu available, great wifi, full kitchen and laundry, patio with a grill, super cute pond out front. The a/c keeps everything incredibly cool, even on a super hot day! This place far exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be back :)

The cabin is located in minutes of all the hot spots of the Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge St Park. If you are going to Muir Valley to climb you are in walking distance. There are porches to relax on while drinking your morning coffee or having your evening meal. The cabin has a detached shower house with in a few feet of it. There is a fire pit where you can set and watch the moon come up. If you are looking for a place that is economically priced this is the cabin for you.
We built the cabin from trees we harvested from the property it is located on. It was our first building project and we are proud of the work we but into it. The queen size bed is built from wood that came from a 100 plus year old barn here on the farm. The counter top was built from a maple tree harvested here on the farm. The cabin has a metal roof so on rainy days you can stay in and listen to the rain while watching Netflixs. We hope you enjoy it very much.
The cabin is within a short drive to areas like Red River Gorge Zipline, Natural Bridge State Park, Daniel Boone National Park(Red River Gorge) and in walking distance to Muir Valley climbing area. Also just a short drive to eating places such as Miguel's Pizza, The Rock House Restaurant, and Sky Bridge Station.
  • The CUTEST little cabin in the woods. Felt remote but not scary. It was the sweetest little getaway. Not luxury but quant and everything your adventurous couple needs for a quick getaway and a clean shower in the gorge!!! PRIME climbing location. Would highly recommend.

    Alex2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We spent the weekend at Moon Glow cabin and had a wonderful stay. The cabin had a secluded feel, but was easy to find. It was perfect for a weekend getaway, we enjoyed coffee on the back porch and a fire in the fire pit after a day of hiking. It is really close to Muir Valley, Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge. The bath house is only a few steps from the cabin and is absolutely adorable. We will definitely be back for another stay!

    Sarah2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable space in a beautiful area

    DeLayne2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful part of Kentucky and would stay here again for the great comfort & value.

  • Had such a nice stay at this cozy hideaway! It was everything we needed for a quick trip. Connie was awesome! Quick to respond and even left us a Valentine’s Day treat!

    Allison2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn’t have hoped for a better experience. Connie is incredibly thoughtful and the cabin is the most perfect place to spend any significant amount of time in the gorge. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this place again.

    Chris2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • I wanted to get away from the city for my birthday. Somewhere that reminded me more of home. It rained the first two nights and we loved falling asleep to it against the tin roof. We had what we needed to get through the weekend and be minimalistic. It was the perfect little getaway with all the modern touches one could need.

    Amelia2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing place to unwind from the robotics of daily life. My husband and I have been to moon glow twice now. It's a perfect little getaway and our two doxies just love that they can run around.. They are well behaved and for the most part stay where we can see them. We will be back to see it when it's all green. Maybe even before. Every thing you need get a getaway.. ❤

  • By far the best we could’ve asked for! Deena was so accommodating and thoughtful. We were blown away by the cleanliness, too! We could relax in the space knowing how clean it was. We didn’t need a single thing, Deena had thought of everything and made sure it was all there; dvds, games, coloring books, book full of recommendations, laundry facilities, etc. We can’t wait to be back!

    Lori2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • My favorite place to stay when I’m in the area!

    Paul2019-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • This place is very nice and clean. It's a neat and cute little space for couples or for couples with young kids. It also has a sofa bed. We didn't use but thought it would come in handy for kids. The apartment is close to other things, sort of in the middle of everything just about 10-15 mins drive.

    Jennifer2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was just as pictured, only more spacious than I expected. It was very well outfitted and we wanted for nothing. Very clean. Although it is close to the Parkway, there was no discernible traffic noise at night. Deena always responded quickly to any texts we sent. I went for milk the first morning and really became lost. The highways can be very confusing. Cell reception is spotty so navigating by smart phone is not always reliable. Deena's directions to the cabin are spot-on and I recommend you print them out and have them in the car. Deena has a side business, SunDanceSoapery.com, and the few products we tried are wonderful. All-in-all, a great time and place.

    Bob2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place for our little family. The kids loved all the games available. Close to lots of hiking and beautiful views! Space was clean and well stocked!

    Shannon2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Climb on Inn is an adorable cottage! It is setup studio style and great for a little mountain getaway.

    Samantha2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable space, I thought the amenities where a great touch. Very clean. Like some reviews , if you are a light sleeper the traffic noise might be an issue but was not a problem for us. I would not hesitate to stay again.

    Connie2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • A very nice spot with easy access to all the local sights. The bed was comfy and the porch/deck were great for relaxing.

Peaceful cabin surrounded by nature! Relax in your private cabin or walk over and sit on the swing near the pond.
The cabin is located 1000 ft in the woods from our home. We are situated on a 25 acre homestead with walking trails and a pond.
We are 20 miles from the red river gorge
  • Perfect little getaway spot, we loved the cabin.

    Matt2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • We were looking for a secluded getaway… A cozy cabin in the woods… And this is exactly that. Cabin gets nice and toasty warm and it is situated in beautiful woods. Agree with other reviewers that the floodlight outside is a bit of a downer in terms of enjoying the night sky, but that was the only downside to the whole stay. There is a nice gas grill that we were able to cook hotdogs on one night, thus saving us from having to go out to a restaurant. All in all a very nice stay. Thank you!

    Megan2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place!!

    Chris2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, comfortable and quiet! This cabin offers a scenic setting for a getaway and is a short drive from great outdoor recreation. Though it’s still accessible with any vehicle, drivers of smaller cars should be prepared for a significant incline on the gravel road exiting the cabin. This cabin was well-furnished and secluded, which made for a good place to rest after a long day. Will come back if I’m in the area again!

    Mark2019-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding cabin with lots of extra amenities and service. Very isolated like we wanted. Please make sure you have a suitable vehicle for traveling down the driveway. I had a small Honda fit that struggled but still worked out. Absolutely worth it!! A++ We love Bobby and his outstanding hospitality. Very friendly.

    Stephan2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Bobby's cabin was wonderful! It's a beautiful, quiet space with heating and cooling. Of note, you need to take a fairly hilly dirt road to get there and might need 4-wheel drive if it's icy. Additionally, there is not wifi and cell service is spotty. The kitchen area is equipped with a microwave, fridge, dishes, and silverware. They have a nice collection of DVDs and guidebooks to the Red River Gorge which is only about 15-20 minutes away by car. While the cabin is in the woods, Bobby's home is just down the road. I accidentally locked myself out of the cabin one morning, and Bobby came by to let me back in just a few minutes. I highly recommend this place and would love to go back!

    Kevin2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great location nestled in the woods! It was so pretty - wish we could have spent more time there!

    Addie2019-11-09T00:00:00Z

    Tee2019-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Jeremy and Mary we're so nice and great hosts. The lodge that they have is freaking amazing and I can't wait to make another Red River Gorge trip just so I can stay with them again.

    Wes2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place with even more awesome people!! Like an upscale hostel for everyone who loves the community of camping and hostels, but not the mess or stress.

    Lizzie2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • You couldn't ask for a better place to stay in the Red, right by the Muir Valley entrance, about 10 minutes from Natural Bridge trailheads. The common space was like a spacious rustic lodge. Everything was done right, like easy check-in, wifi, drip coffee ready in the morning, lockers and options like laundry and private rooms (I was great in a bunk). Mary and Jeremy are great hosts. I stayed on a quiet weeknight just after summer.

    Levi2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • YES, YES, & YES. Visit this hidden treasure. You won't be disappointed!

    Sammy2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place with lovely hosts. Spotless and relaxing place to hang out. It was a Sunday night when I stayed, so it was pretty quiet. They made everyone popcorn for Game of Thrones.

    Esther2019-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful lodge, comfortable, great location to Red River Gorge and Clifty Wilderness.

    Molly2019-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great, especially for the climber/hiker seeking a quieter and cleaner space than Miguel's. Jeremy and Mary were awesome, beds comfy, and views were great. Will be the first place I look if ever returning to the area.

  • Nicole’s place is excellent, and I would stay there again! Fantastic location, very clean, great local info, and comfortable. Nicole was very quick to respond and around if we needed anything, but she had already thought of just about anything we could need.

    Leslie2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Nicole’s place is perfect! Very clean, very comfortable bed and spacious room, has a spacious closet as well. She had everything really well organized and has lots of little details that come in handy like organized space for your toiletries in the shared bathroom. Highly recommend this place! Nicole was really nice and had local tips for our first time climbing at the rrg. Her dog indi was super welcoming as well :).

    Mariana2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoyed our stay and access to a full kitchen for quick breakfast and hot drink before heading to the Red. Place was super clean and organized. Nicole is a local climbing guide and provided some nice helpful tips for our first visit to the area. Really close proximity to climbing areas and Miguel’s pizza which a must after a long day climbing.

    Aldo2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and nice house. Perfect location for climbing in the RRG. Big kitchen and living room. It has it all. Recommended.

    Martine2019-11-24T00:00:00Z

Welcome to your architecturally unique cabin in the woods! No cleaning fees! 1 night stays available! Wifi and smart tv! New cabin with quality linens, luxury mattresses, and fully equipped kitchen. Scenic Sunset is ideally located within minutes of everything the Gorge has to offer. Situated perfectly on a wooded lot with panoramic views of the valley for spectacular sunsets! The completely secluded rear deck sits high in the tree canopy making the hot tub that much more relaxing.
  • Lovely place! It was a great mixture of modern touches and a mountain style. Quick drives to lots of hikes and really private deck despite there being several other houses on the street.

    Katlyn2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Scott & Brittany's place is fabulous. It's even lovelier than shown in the photos (which already looked great). I came down for a long solo weekend away and their cabin is exactly what I needed. It's remote, quiet, comfortable, stylish (cabins tend to be overly kitschy -- this one is very cool), close to some well-known trail heads (20-minute drive), and just a few minutes from the legendary Miguel's. The hot tub on the deck on the edge of the woods is amazing. I can't wait to return!

    Dave2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect spot for a getaway! Our favorite part was the breathtaking view we found outside the cabin and to the right down a little trail. Absolutely phenomenal.

    Jasmine2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend in Scott and Brittany’s beautiful cabin! We highly recommend staying at the Scenic Sunset!

    Eric2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was just what we needed. The view is amazing in the winter, you can see across the gorge. The cabin itself is extremely kid friendly and so clean.

  • This cabin is a really great place to stay if you’re looking for a relaxing place!

    Christian2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was great for a weekend, very secluded and nice. Wish there had been some tin foil and main spices, but besides that the kitchen was great, would stay again.

    Kathleen2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is centrally located, no more than ten minutes from popular hiking trails and Miguel’s Pizza. It was a great place to relax in the evening after a long day of hiking, watching movies and hanging out in the hot tub. We cooked a full meal with no issues, all you need is provided. We would definitely stay here again!

  • We LOVED the space! It is conveniently located next to some amazing hiking trails— so we barely drove anywhere. The interior was perfectly designed and the bed was very comfortable. Overall, five stars! A wonderful stay in the woods 🌿❤️

  • Staying at the tiny house was a great experience. The beds are very comfortable. There are so many thoughtful and functional touches around the space. The two stove burners worked great for cooking meals. We walked from the cabin to several options of hiking trails. The hot tub is situated perfectly for enjoying views of trees and stars and listening to the babbling creek nearby.

    Jennifer2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was one of my husband and I's favorite weekend retreats! The tiny house was such a cool place to stay with all of the amenities that you could want and the porch swing and hot tub were the perfect extras. Scott and Brittany were always quick to respond and made everything so convenient. We spent Friday night drinking wine, swinging on the porch swing, and watching downloaded shows. Saturday morning we enjoyed coffee and cooked breakfast on the awesome portable burners then hiked to Hanson's Point right from the front door. We followed this with a trip to Miguel's pizza. The location can't be beat and it is a great place to stay whether the weather is perfect for hiking or you're stuck inside all weekend. We will definitely be coming back!

    Katie2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy and comfortable! I'm so glad this was my first experience using AirBnB. Loved having coffee on the porch swing in the morning and the great veiws from the many windows!

Big Leaf ~ A secluded off-grid sleeping platform. Stay in the trees! A tidy murphy bed and screened in sleeping area surrounded by a wrap around porch and marble top outdoor cooking area. Secluded and quiet.
Want to enjoy climbing and hiking and the beautiful outdoors in Red River Gorge? Big Leaf sleeping porch is the perfect OFF THE GRID retreat that offers a great combination of camping and modern amenities. Big Leaf sleeping porch is not your average cabin in the woods! Leave the complexities of modern life at home and enjoy the simplicity that Big Leaf has to offer. Big Leaf features fully screened walls for maximum nature-human connection. You’ll wake to the morning light tickling through the canopy just as soon as the sun shines! Breakfast? Say hello to your new outdoor kitchen - a small propane stove, compact dishwashing station and bar table for two. Sit back and relax on the porch - you’re in nature’s backyard now! But don’t worry, if “nature calls”, Big Leaf’s private composting outhouse is just a hop, skip and a jump away. Big Leaf guests have 24 hour access to our community bathroom at our Headquarters. It contains a shower, flush toilet, sink and large mirror. When night falls and you`re tired of gazing at Mother Nature’s primetime television (fireflies and starry skies), pop inside and rest your head on a spacious full-size bed. There`s no electricity here at Big Leaf, so be sure to take advantage of the lanterns provided and bring your headlamp. Big Leaf is conveniently located in the heart of Red River Gorge, a short walk from the Martins Fork trail head, and is close to popular rock climbing spots like Left Flank and Military Wall. Whether you are enjoying a hike, climbing, soaking in nearby swimming holes, engaging in kayaking or zip lining adventures or relaxing by the campfire you will be sure to find your much-needed rest and relaxation at Big Leaf! ***Important*** Access to Big Leaf requires driving up a steep gravel road. Most cars can make it. We do recommend 4WD and/or high clearance if you have access to such vehicles. If you cannot make it up, we can give you and your things a ride up!
  • Even on a cold, rainy weekend in December, the Big Leaf and the gorge were absolutely perfect. There were extra blankets laid out which made for a very comfortable stay. Even managed to get in 12 miles of hiking when the rain let up a bit. Thank goodness for the clean towels provided to help dry off after. Would definitely stay here again!

  • It's rustic, but if you plan right, it's an amazing place to stay.

    Colin2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great. Even helped with driving us up the hill to our place when we were unable to make it. All around friendly and great people

    Evan2018-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed two nights at big leaf and loved it! The views from the porch were definitely one of our favorite things about the trip. It was also nice to have our own pirvate site with a campfire and the out house was better than expected as well. The hill leading up to the site is very steep and I would definitely recommend four wheel drive. The hosts hospitality was also very nice. The night was arrived it was dark and rainy and we couldn't find the site at first. So we called the number and they answered right away to direct us. It was a perfect weekend!

    Mandy2018-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • unplug at this perfect cabin getaway! tucked in the heart of the gorge, this beautiful place has all the basics you need to enjoy nature and the rustics comforts of cabin life! Amy was awesome in her communication before we came down, which made it so easy. we were able to bring all 3 of our dogs so our little family was all together for some tree therapy and relaxation! absolutely recommend this place! we loved it!

    Brant2018-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! This is the word I used when I walked up to The Big Leaf. It truly is beautiful. If you like staying off the grid and nature is you thing, then look no farther. Amy has lots of little touches that makes the stay just perfect. There is a huge map of the gorge behind the bed that we loved planning our next hike on. The bed was extra comfy and the sheets were amazing! Oh and I can’t forget the flashlights they provided, they were awesome. One of my little guys was scared one night so we turned the flashlight on and it lasted the whole night. I didn’t have to worry about charge, as they had two ready to go for us. The pictures that the listing shows doesn’t do it justice to the actual beauty of this place. I do recommend 4 Wheel drive. Amy had advised us to have 4 wheel drive so this made it easy for us to climb up and down the hill. However we met another guest staying in one of the other houses on this road and they were stuck at the bottom due to not having a 4 wheel drive vehicle! So please take Amy’s advise and have it. The hospitality is definitely 5 stars! We will for sure be back.

In the heart of Red River Gorge this hand hewn log cabin provides a quintessential Kentucky woodland experience. Secluded in the trees, with no other buildings in sight this cabin is surrounded by natural beauty. This is a hikers and climbers paradise with easy access to miles of trails and multiple climbing spots. A half mile from Martins Fork Trail Head and minutes from Daniel Boone National Forest - Gladie Visitor Center, Indian Creek camping area and Natural Bridge State Park.
The gravel driveway to Snowy Owl is steep and narrow in places with 2 tight switchbacks at the beginning. Suitable for 4 wheel drive and AWD vehicles. Many drivers have trouble making the ascent in a 2 wheel drive car but it can be done! If your car just won't make it you are welcome to park at the entrance and walk to the cabin (approx. 600 ft. up and into the forest). Pets are welcome. We charge a one time fee of $35 for each pet that you bring with you.
Snowy Owl is only 5 minutes from the Nada Tunnel and 10 minutes from the Mountain Parkway at Slade. Nestled in a peaceful wooded setting the cabin has the feeling of absolute seclusion and privacy.
  • Such a thoughtful space - it’s clear that someone took great care to make it so cozy! Would definitely return.

  • Wow!! If you're not booking this cabin, then you're definitely missing out! For starters, the hosts were very responsive, informative and kind. This cabin is simply amazing! We really enjoyed the seclusion and appreciated the special touches the cabin offered. If you are looking for a weekend of pure bliss and serenity this is the place to go! As stated in the other comments, the drive up is very challenging. We were able to make it up in our AWD vehicle which I highly recommend. If not, there was plenty of room at the bottom of the drive and the hike up is not bad at all. We will definitely be back!

    Chelsea2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful weekend getaway here in the Gorge. The cabin was immaculate and very comfortable for my husband and I to enjoy over a weekend.

    Sarah2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Snowy Owl was a great place to get away from it all after a busy holiday season. It was very quiet and isolated. So many great little touches, the view was amazing, and building a fire in the wood stove kept us toasty.

    Matt2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Truly recommend anyone wanting to get away from it all that this is the place to do it at. We absolutely loved it. Its an adventure within an adventure! And no kidding its best to have 4 wheel or all wheel drive. Cause that hill up to it is seriously no joke. All in all it is worth the climb!! So peaceful and isolated!. Go for it!!

    Steven2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Very pleased with our stay. Would love to return in the spring or summer! Did have to park car at bottom of the hill but it was a quick walk up. Overall, very impressed - One of the few times I’ve stayed at an Airbnb that was even better than the pictures!

    Olivia2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is so cozy and comfortable! Would highly recommend for a couple or small group. We didn’t attempt to drive up the hill and got all of our things up in 3 trips. Do the Auxiar Ridge trial you won’t regret it.

    Angelo2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at the snowy owl cabin, amenities were great, the electric went out our first night due to a heavy storm and they were kind enough to bring us a portable stove so we could make our much needed coffee. It is a wonderful place to stay and in a great location.

  • This is my second time here, and it was as exceptional an experience as it was the first time. I love the coziness of the place. It has a rustic feel, but not at the expense of living completely off the grid, if you know what I mean. The place was very clean and well-maintained, and I love how quiet it is. There is a definite peace about the place that is energizing, and I can’t wait to come back!

    Greg2020-02-03T00:00:00Z

    Mandi2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Sheltowee Traveler was absolutely perfect! My husband and I took a two day trip over Thanksgiving and I am so glad we found this place! It was primitive but still had the amenities that we needed to make a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. The fire pit was great. We spent both nights sitting by the fire and enjoying the stars. With three kids and demanding jobs, it was so nice that we had zero cellphone service so we could just completely unplug. The hike up the hill definitely is not for the faint of heart. Make sure you come prepared and don’t overpack or you’ll be making lots of trips up and down! I would definitely recommend Sheltowee Traveler for anyone visiting the Gorge!

  • Was a great cabin to stay in. Had everything we needed. Very close to all the things we wanted to do.

    Renee2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and as described. Right off the slade exit, so it is easy to get to which you can't say about every cabin at the gorge.

    Davis2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We spent the weekend here for a small birthday celebration. The space was very clean. When I walked in I thought it would be too small, but it was actually the perfect size. We all loved the beds, they were super comfortable. So was the couch. The only potential negative I would say is that the upstairs bedroom is up/down VERY STEEP stairs. If you are a deep sleeper, getting down those at night is a scary proposition. We actually left our luggage downstairs because we didn't want to try to get it up and back down. This is a perfect space for 2-4 people to have a relaxing vacation that is close to the highway, hiking and food! I love Miguel's pizza and it's only 1.5 miles away, so big win! Also, there are a ton of hiking trails on and very near the property. We were able to go to Torrent Falls, the Gorge and Natural Bridge. This is a really great location for hiking.

✔ Just minutes from Natural Bridge State Park, Muir Valley and Red River Gorge Geographical Area. ✔ Perfect for climbers, couples, hikers, retreaters, & travelers looking for a great affordable location! ✔ Relax under the stars with plenty of deck space, a hot tub, and beautiful forest atmosphere! ✔ All the amenities you need to cook and enjoy a nice meal, you wouldn't have to leave unless you wanted to!
Mountain Memories is a spacious cabin containing 1 loft with a king sized bed, and a jacuzzi tub. There is also a handicap accessible shower on the first floor. The loft provides access to a balcony off the front of the cabin, as well as a hot tub out back with outdoor seating. The sun will gently wake you as it peeks through the trees and through the windows on the back of the cabin. Sitting on the back deck and drinking coffee in the morning as the sun rises is such a treasure at this cabin. The terrain to get to the cabin gets steep at times & includes black top & gravel, but I own a small two-wheel drive small car, & I have no problems. During the winter months especially, we suggest that everyone drive cars with 4 wheel drive/all wheel drive. This cabin is on a well, and the water is treated so it is safe to drink, but often times well water will have a slightly different smell or taste compared to city water or bottled water. We recommend bringing your own drinking water for taste preference/enjoyment.
This cabin is located in Campton, Kentucky. This cabin is a part of a private, secluded resort known as Paradise Valley. The closest nearby supermarket is ~15 minutes away. There are a few general stores and gas stations with 10 minutes driving distance. • This is a very cozy and romantic cabin, perfect for two people. You can watch the sunrise from the hot tub on the back deck or from the bed. The large windows in the back of the house provide a great view of the mountains and sky. It is quiet and secluded.

  • Ken is a fantastic host and the cabin is breathtaking. Ken offers great suggestions for local attractions and dining and is quick to respond! The cabin is located on a serene private drive and is clean and spacious. The hot tub is wonderful, the whirlpool bath is fantastic and the cabin is convenient to any Red River Gorge excursions. I highly recommend staying here if you’re going to the gorge.

    Meg2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cabin! We had a lot of fun. There were plenty of kitchen supplies and amenities available so we didn't have to drive way out to get food, and the internet handled streaming and the dreaded mandatory game update flawlessly. The loft was excellent for lazing around in bed and listening to rain hit the roof, and nothing can beat a hot tub four steps from the door on a cold night (other than maybe a two-seat jacuzzi three steps from the bed). This is a great place to get away from everything, just bring enough food for your stay and some comfy house shoes if your feet long for carpet.

The Looking Glass is a treehouse perched atop a Tulip Poplar and Pignut Hickory. The façade of mirrors reflects the surrounding forest back to you, creating a shimmering atmosphere of strong trunks and vibrant leaves. The Looking Glass Treehouse is truly a masterful creation that is a product of extraordinary craftsmanship and imaginative design. *NOTE: Due the remarkable circumstances of staying in a treehouse, guests will be asked to sign a liability release waiver after booking.*
Upon arrival, notice the complete bathhouse and staircase leading up to the kitchen. As you walk across the bridge and find yourself in the kitchen, you will be surrounded by a 360 view looking out into nature through the panoramic windows. Find all you will need to create a feast in this circular kitchen. From the kitchen, exit across the second bridge and relax outside on the fully suspended deck. You can enjoy your morning coffee here, rain or shine, because it is protected from the elements by the bedroom above. When the sun sets and the whippoorwills come out to sing, you can climb upward from the deck, and enter the bedroom through a hatch in the floor. This cozy, octagonal bedroom, is a place to lounge or sleep outfitted with giant floor pillows, two full size beds & one foldout twin bed.
The Looking Glass Treehouse is located centrally in the Red River Gorge. It is within walking distance from one of the best local restaurants called, The Rock House Café. From this location you can access the climbing and activities offered in the southern region, or head north to hike in the geological areas. Whatever you have planned for your trip, be sure to carve out some time to just hang in the treehouse, and enjoy the forest from above.
  • Such an awesome place. It’s very secluded so you definitely feel like you’re getting away from all the lights and noise. Great hiking close by. Just a really great way to get away for the weekend.

  • We had so much fun living amongst the trees for a few days. It was a great time to get away with the kids who loved the experience as well. Was great to unplug and experience the outdoors and get to hang out and sleep up off the ground in such a unique environment. Loved that it was so close to the Natural Bridge and the trails. Biggest question at this point is when to book a return trip!

  • A must!!! The place is exquisitely designed. Amenities were stunning. The decor was so refreshing. A wonderful space for a work retreat. We woke to beautiful freshly fallen snow, nestled so sweetly and calmly in the woods. The beds were so comfortable and I loved reading in the hammocks. The kitchen was a perfect size for cooking meals with lots of counter space. A lovely area to eat meals. Everything we needed was provided. Natural Bridge, Miguel’s, and other great stops were minutes away. Sally and Amy were so quick and responsive with their messages. Everything about our stay was perfect! It was WONDERFUL!! An absolute must to stay at when visiting RRG.

  • Angela’s guest home is outstanding. It is very cozy , tastefully decorated , and very clean. Our stay here was one of the best Airbnb experiences we have ever had. I can recommend it to anyone and will use it again Definitely 5 star !

    Sarah2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Angela's place was sparkling clean, cozy, exactly as advertised (or better!) and nestled among the hills of red river gorge. and Angela was a very kind and welcoming host! highly recommended!

  • Angela’s place is great. Outstanding value and attention to detail. It is clear that Angela and her family really care about providing their guests a stay they will thoroughly enjoy. I will definitely try to stay here again in the future.

  • Cozy cottage in the beautiful rolling hills of Kentucky!!

    Gabrielle2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I stayed at Angela’s guest house for a week while climbing in the Red River Gorge. It was SO CLOSE to everything!! Beyond the proximity to climbing, this place was super comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was super well stocked with pots and pans and baking dishes galore, there was a nice, big coffee maker, and the hot water never runs out in the shower... even with the washing machine running. Which, the washer and dryer were added benefits. We will definitely stay here again...it was perfect!

  • Awesome! The tree house was so much fun. It fulfilled our childhood fantasies of living in a tree house! I loved the location, secluded from all other cabins. Hiking close by and got the opportunity to explore the gorge. I will be back 😎

  • As always a great weekend

    Daniel2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Seeking an escape from the start of holiday hysteria, we were looking for a place within driving distance of the Midwest and discovered Red River Gorge. We booked a few nights at the Flying Squirrel treehouse and arrived after midnight on our first night. Having read reviews about the hike to the treehouse, we were prepared with headlamps and had packed a small bag of necessary items to take up the first night. We returned to our car for other items the next day. The hike was all part of the adventure. The propane heater was wonderful and made for a cozy stay in our treehouse “nest”. Jonathan was kind, responsive and helpful. It was reassuring to know that he was nearby and accessible in case anything came up. We highly recommend the treehouse and are planning a return trip in the spring!

  • A beautiful and relaxing spot to get away!

    Shuler2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • The flying squirrel is a dream and made for a cozy getaway in late fall. We were worried about the cold but the room is equipped with a propane heater. Whether you want to go on day hikes or just stay inside and play games, this stay is a great way to reconnect in nature

    Ellie2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was a unique and fun way to experience RRG. Beautiful, well maintained treehouse, breathtaking views of the Gorge all around you, an exhilarating hike out to the cabin, and the hosts are super kind and respond to messages/calls quickly. There are trails for hikers of all experience levels nearby, ample rock climbing routes, opportunities for kayaking, and tons of great local food and beer. We'd love to visit Flying Squirrel again! P.S. the guest journal in the treehouse is a fun read!

    Sarah2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • This little tree house was outstanding! The owners were very friendly and accommodating. They had to come help us with the propane heater twice and were very friendly about it! They location was amazing for anyone looking to reconnect with nature, themselves or a partner. My boyfriend and I went and I honestly felt closer to myself as well. I woke up early each morning and watched the sunrise from the bed through the big windows, went pee in the outhouse (very clean) and stared out the huge window into the forest. I enjoyed the hot outdoor (literally standing on rocks and leaves) shower and watched squirrels play, heard laughter from the national park up the mountain and appreciated my own company. We will 100% be back to the flying squirrel. I miss it already! The little book for guest entries was probably my favorite part. I spent a good 1.5 reading it on morning and taking in the joy of the other guests, imagining who they are and taking suggestions from them. The hike up was absolutely terrible but when you get to the tree house you realize it was all part of the journey. I would reccomend this treehouse to ANYONE!

Take a five minute hike up to the cabin. Enjoy an uncomplicated escape, surrounded by nature. There is a queen bed in the loft with a simple kitchen, bathroom and shower below. Linens and towels provided.
Bird Nest is a stand-alone cabin tucked up the hill behind our complex of 4 cabins at Quiet Waters. Don`t get in your car for your whole stay! Hike out to 26 miles of State Park trails and 200 miles of Red River Gorge,KY trails. The cabin sits alone on a level bench with cliffs behind you. Well behaved pets are allowed for a $35 fee. We ask that they stay off of the couches and beds...and that they are supervised at all times.
The Red River Gorge,KY is the 2nd most bio-areas in the world....right behind a region in China. If you love hiking and nature, this is an incredible place to spend a few days.
  • Five stars, with a caveat for cleaning instructions! Me and my husband absolutely LOVED this place (and found out so many friends had stayed here in the past too)! The location and view is unbeatable, tucked away on a steep hill away from the other cabins. The space was really clean, other than some dirty dishes left by previous guests. I have mentioned to the host already, so will likely be adjusted, but we noticed that there were some discrepancies between the laid AirBnB cleaning instructions and the more thorough on-site binder cleaning instructions, which left a few things needing attention when we arrived. BUT, all that being said, we had so much fun and would definitely stay here again!

    Katie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z

    Ezequiel2019-11-11T00:00:00Z

  • Sweet little cabin ! Come check it out for yourself !

    Peyton2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little cabin on the side of a mountain. Cute and cozy. Several stairs to get to Bird Nest, but not climbing straight up, so with a good pair of shoes, it’s not a problem. Gas grill wasn’t working when we arrived, but after a quick text, Heather arrived to fix it! Great hospitality. Water pressure in the shower is minimal, so don’t count on washing long hair very easily. But, the water gets nicely hot. Window air conditioning unit kept cabin perfectly cool. Can get cell service if that’s a concern, but no WiFi or television. If you are looking for a cabin to relax, slightly rustic, this is it. If you want a hotel in the woods, look elsewhere.

    Emily2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • The Bird House was awesome!! Be aware, the trail up to the cabin is straight UPHILL so may want to pack light and make sure you bring a flashlight if arriving after dark. Also, remember it is a cabin in the middle of the woods, and there will be insects so just look around before you sit down...my husband got bit by a centipede! But the privacy is amazing and you will get the full experience of being in the middle of the woods. Although we didn't see any wild animals, I could hear Turkeys in the woods when I stepped out on the porch! Also, you're unlikely to get cell phone service there. Which was a good thing for us, to have a chance to turn off and recharge. All in all, I'd highly recommend it :)

  • This was a great space for the weekend. We loved the garage door, the lofted bed and Christmas lights! Everything was clean and exactly as stated. Even though it was cold outside it was snuggly in the Kentucky Breeze. Great space that was near several hiking trails.

    Mary (Mel)2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was a nice, clean, new and cozy cabin. It was a good size for the two of us but I wouldn’t have wanted any more people :-) The driveway was steep but we made it fine in wet weather in a 2 Wheel Dr. minivan. The cabin is on private land right in the middle of the state park. The location and craftsmanship of the cabin were my favorite parts

    Greg2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The Kentucky Breeze was just as amazing as we had hoped! The secluded cabin was the perfect spot for a romantic getaway. The surrounding area was beautiful, and the views from the cabin were incredible. The cabin was extremely clean, and we had everything there that we needed. While there was indeed no cell phone reception, it was nice to stay unplugged and spend time together- there are games in the cabin if you need ideas! While we didn’t get to explore the area too much in the cold, we will definitely be back in the summer to take full advantage of everything in the area.

    Oliver2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Even in the winter the Breeze will warm your soul. It has a happy and peaceful spirit about it, perfect for an escape. Good thing it doesn't have a wood stove or you'd never get me out of there.

✔ Minutes from Natural Bridge State Park, Muir Valley & Red River Gorge. ✔ Perfect for climbers, couples, hikers & travelers looking for a great affordable location! ✔ Relax with an outdoor deck, a natural waterfall, & beautiful forest atmosphere! ✔ The terrain includes black top and gravel & is steep at times, but I own a small two-wheel drive car, & I have no problems. During the winter months & for general purposes, we suggest that everyone drive cars with 4 wheel drive/all wheel drive.
Deep in Daniel Boone National Forest and the RRG area is the lovely getaway Hidden Falls. This cozy cabin is perfect for a seclusive getaway into nature. This cabin can sleep 2 and with the transcendent waterfall behind the cabin, you'll feel right at home. If you are looking to leave the cabin and spend time outdoors, Hidden Falls is conveniently located just minutes away from Red River Gorge Recreational Area, premium climbing, hiking, zip lines - all during your stay at this Kentucky gem. This charming cabin is not wheelchair accessible. You will have to climb a flight of stairs to reach the cabin and there is a flight of spiral stairs up to the loft. The loft is an open area, and therefore there are no doors to close off the bedroom area. As the waterfall in the back of the property is natural, we cannot guarantee how much it will be flowing, as it is dependent upon the rainfall and is affected by weather. There is no firepit at this cabin.
The closest restaurant or supermarket is ~15 minutes away, so make sure to do your shopping before you arrive. There are a few general stores and gas stations with 10 minutes driving distance. • AMAZING. So serene. The waterfall is gorgeous. Quiet & clean. Ken incredible communicator and provides EXCELLENT directions/ tips for getting the most out of the area. The drive is steep, and curvy, try to arrive before dark! Great internet and good tv for watching movies at night. We loved this place.

  • This cabin is amazing! There are a few windy, steep, and narrow roads that lead to the property, so keep that in mind when traveling. The waterfall outside the bedroom is super peaceful and you can see it from the main level/kitchen too. The cabin was nice and cozy, just enough space for 2 people.

    Ryan2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place is INCREDIBLE! The photos don’t even do it justice. The waterfall outside of the bedroom door was amazing and the cabin as a whole was so cozy/warm that we hardly wanted to leave! Ken was a great host and super responsive. We did our morning workouts running the hills around the cabin and drove into the gorge for hiking. Perfect location! Thank you, Ken! We will definitely be back.

The views are sure to be amazing! Great restaurants are also nearby! • Beautiful, cozy, cabin with everything we needed for a weekend away. Great views with a stream right out back. Easy access to restaurants and hiking, too. We hope to come back!

    Katie2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin looks just like the pictures. Everything was very clean with brand new appliances. The cabin was stocked with plenty of bedding essentials, cooking supplies and toiletries. The location is great for hiking and is also close to local diners. The hosts were great! Response time was fast and they even provided a complimentary gift basket for our anniversary! We will definitely be back to Creeksong Cabin.

    Gunner2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Cute, cozy cabin with nice decks on the front and back. Perfect place for a weekend of relaxation!

    Jenna2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Creeksong cabin was a beautiful home base to explore Red River Gorge! Location is great, close to hiking and restaurants, yet quiet. The kitchen was well laid out and had most everything we wanted to be able to prepare home-cooked dinners after a day of hiking. The bed was comfy, and the artwork and decor very tasteful. We felt very at home here. It's a small cabin, but the layout made it feel more spacious--we can't wait to come back in warmer weather when we can sit out on the porch with our morning coffee and listening to the birds and watching the creek flow past.

    Elaine2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This charming and cozy cabin is the perfect choice to stay at during your RRG adventures. The location is just moments away from the Natural Bridge and a short drive to all the beautiful trails and hikes that the gorge has to offer. The cabin itself has everything you could want or need as a home base to get out and explore the area, or just stay in to relax and enjoy the nature around you - the comfortable sofa, strong wifi, smart TV, electric fireplace, well-appointed kitchen, stylish design, sounds of the creek out back, front and back porches for relaxing, fire pit with lots of free firewood - no detail has been overlooked. The hosts were great with communication - easy check in, great directions to find the location (cell service is spotty in the area), and reached out before the stay to see if we had any questions or needs! I highly recommend this cabin and am already looking forward to booking a return stay myself!

    Kelsey2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was perfect after a long day of hiking. I was very clean and had a lovely porch front and back and a fire pit. If you don't plan on cooking its just steps away from Red River Roadhouse.

Climber's cabin is located at the historical Torrent Falls area, a rock climber's paradise. Even if you don't climb, the scenery out your front door is AMAZING!!! This cabin is tucked away in the trees at the base of a cliff line on our private property. It is located less than 3 miles to the entrance of the park, about 7 miles from exit 33 on the parkway, and less than 2 miles to the Rockhouse (an amazing eatery with Nutella brownies which I highly recommend). 10% state/local tax is included
Torrent Falls has a long and colorful history. Once home to the Adena Indians, they lived, farmed and hunted the land. In more recent history, the L. Park Hotel was built in 1890. This one of a kind landmark once boasted a suspended stage, a boardwalk dance floor, and an orchestra in the amphitheater. Now Torrent Falls is a cabin resort. With one of Kentucky’s tallest waterfalls (seasonal) and world class rock climbing out your back door, it’s a beautiful way to spend a vacation. Step off your porch and you’re just a few feet from the private cliff line and world class climbing. Even if you’re not a climber, you’ll love this place. This cabin sleeps 6 adults. This cabin is accessed by a series of 65 stairs. • Full Bed in downstairs bedroom • Set of bunk beds in downstairs bedroom • King Bed in loft • Full kitchen (stove top, oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, dishes, pots & pans, dish soap) • Full Bath (bring your own toiletries) • All linens and towels provided • Heat and A/C • TV and DVD player • WiFi available on the property (not at the cabin) • Porch • Gas grill
  • This is not just a cabin. It is an experience, sitting a little more than halfway up a hill that ends in a rockface that extends upwards for quite a distance, with overhangs in many places at foot level carved out by geological forces eons ago. The half-caves were the home of indigenous peoples long ago. There is no way to describe it accurately. It is magical. A trail traces the curving outline of the rockface around a natural bowl, into which we got to see water falling from the top of the cliff, far above -- it had rained the night before. The cabin itself has what you would expect. It is a cabin, with the usual amenities, one of which is a wonderful porch where one looks out through trees -- but not the usual view of trees, viewing them 20 or more feet from the ground, as the porch faces down the hill. Staying there you are living in nature from the comfort of the cabin. We will be back, if we get the chance.

    Hank2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • The climber's cabin is a great place to stay, so close to the climbing walls!

    Robert2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is located in a beautiful area with great access to the Torrent Falls climbing walls. It has everything you need, is clean and the communication with the owners has been excellent. Will definitely come back here next time we’re in the Red!

    Paul2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful weekend at The Climber's Cabin. Everything was even better than expected, and although the falls were not running, the views were still amazing. We are amateurs from the city and it was dark when we arrived and the caretaker (I believe his name was Donny) kindly assisted us, helped us park and provided a flashlight for us to get up the stairs safely. We loved the fact that there are trails right behind the cabin so there is no need to even get in your car again once you arrive. We cannot wait to return and highly recommend booking with Wendy & Craig, thank you all again!

    Cynthia2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • It was our first time booking anything before let alone a cabin and it was exactly what we were hoping for they had a beautiful small cabin close to all the local spots and we were able to comfortably view all the great area RRG has to offer 😁

    Joshua2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Perfectly located cabin, especially if you are a climber (which I am not, but enjoyed the location nonetheless). I especially enjoyed the trails behind the cabin.

    David2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place!! Your property is absolutely breathtaking!! We are hikers so didn’t climb but the property is just wonderful. We enjoyed exploring. Your cabin was very nice and after miles and miles of hiking those stairs just about did us in. Lol. We very much enjoyed our stay and will be back.

    Erin2019-07-21T00:00:00Z

✔ Just minutes from Natural Bridge State Park, Muir Valley and Red River Gorge Geographical Area. ✔ Perfect for climbers, couples, hikers, retreaters, & travelers looking for a great affordable location! ✔ Relax under the stars with an outdoor deck, a hot tub and beautiful forest atmosphere! ✔ All the amenities you need to cook and enjoy a nice meal, you wouldn't have to leave unless you wanted to!
Deep in Daniel Boone National Forest and the RRG area is the lovely getaway Mountain Chalet. Located just 15 minutes from Natural Bridge State Park and Red River Gorge Geographical Area, this cabin can sleep 4 between the bed upstairs and bedroom downstairs. There are 2 beds, 1 in a loft and 1 in the first floor bedroom. There is also a front balcony off the loft, as well as a hot tub out back with outdoor seating. The sun will gently wake you as it peeks through the trees and through the windows on the back of the cabin. Sitting on the back deck and drinking coffee in the morning as the sun rises is such a treasure at this cabin. It is the perfect place to come back after enjoying the outdoors, or to just relax in nature.

The Chalet is part of a four cabin complex located right at Natural Bridge State Park. It is central to everything including hiking trails, climbing, restaurants, boating and fishing.
The Chalet is part of Quiet Waters Cabin Complex: 5 cabins connected by wooden walkways and staircases. It is a great choice for lodging near the Natural Bridge State Park, restaurants along Highway 11, popular trailheads and other tourist activities. The cabin has two floors with the bedroom located in the loft. The cabin can sleep up to four with a full size futon in the living room.  It is approximately one half mile from the trails and recreational area in Natural Bridge State Park and from Hoe Down Island and the swimming pool. An excellent choice for a couple or a small group of friends looking to stay close to main features of the Red River Gorge.    The Chalet comes with a hot tub on the deck: public wooden staircases of the complex as well as Middle Fork Lodge are within clear view of the deck and hot tub. If you seek a more private deck we recommend Butterfly Suite.  Well behaved pets are allowed for a $35 fee. We ask that they stay off of the couches, beds and bedding...and that they are supervised at all times.
The Red River Gorge, KY is blessed with incredible biodiversity. Enjoy hiking along the cliff lines or on the ridges. Take a canoe trip down the Red River. For the more adventurous, there`s world class climbing.
  • Great cabin for a stay at the red during the winter months when it’s too cold to camp. Close to hiking and climbing! Hosts were great!

This cabin is located in the Red River Gorge inside of Land of the Arches Campground. It is almost equal distances from Muir Valley and PMRP and 5 minutes from Southeast Mountain Guides (formerly Torrent Falls Climbing Adventures). Within walking distance of the Zipline. Nearby attractions include hiking trails, the Natural Bridge State Park, the 900 ft long manmade Nada Tunnel, the Gorge Underground, and the over 3500 bolted climbing routes nearby. 2 miles from Red River Gorge Wedding Barn.
There is no wifi in the cabin itself at this time. There is wifi in the "Hangar" which is a large recreational building onsite which also houses the office. The Hangar is not heated, but if you are renting the cabin, we will allow you to use a heated space to get online. It is nearby My Tiny Cabin, but would be an uphill walk.
You will be able to meet other climbers, if you choose to mosey over to the Hangar.
  • Our stay at the tiny cabin was perfect for a weekend hiking trip! It had everything we needed and was located closely to parks and local restaurants. The cabin was very clean and seemed to be newer.

The only cabin on the Red River and actually inside the Gorge. The large porch looks into the river 25' below. It has a charcoal grill, fire pit, and kayak/canoe launch. In the loft are queen & twin size beds. Below, is a futon/bed, kitchen and bathroom/shower. The kitchen has a full fridge, 2-burner stove, microwave, coffeemaker, pots/pans, flatware etc. It has TV, heat, A/C, fans, wifi, and a 10% discount on boat trips at nearby "Red River Adventure". Bring your boats and swimsuits!
Unlike almost all other advertised cabins in the area, this cabin is actually inside the Gorge and surrounded by miles of Forest Service lands. Due to it's remote location there is no "city" water. The cabin is on a well water system. While we drink the water, we highly recommend that you bring bottled water for drinking purposes. We do have satellite wifi (no broadband available here). It has data caps, so please no downloading movies/games. But you should be able to check email, FaceBook and use you phones to make calls.
Many rental cabins claim to be "in the Gorge", when in fact they may be miles away. This cabin is one of the few actually in the Gorge, and is the only one on the Red River. Other than our home and boat business, there are no buildings, houses, stores etc. within miles of the cabin. Bring food and drinks with you.
  • Great cabin with a comfy bed. Perfect landing spot to come back to after exploring the Gorge!

    Caleb2019-10-29T00:00:00Z

  • Awesome place to stay. Great base for hiking with a scenic river view. Ken and Judy were quick to respond to any messages. The cabin was clean and had way more towels and pillows than my family needed. Plus you get 10% off Ken and Judy's canoe and kayak business.

    Chris2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the lofted bedroom!

    David2019-09-16T00:00:00Z

    Jordana2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is perfectly located and everything about our stay was super easy and peaceful. We loved that the cabin was built by hand.

    Alissa2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was so cute and perfect for a weekend getaway. You have basically everything that you need. I did bring my own sheets but they do supply all the sheets and towels you need. I did also bring paper plates, paper towels, clorox wipes and plastic silverware just to be prepared. It does have well water so the pressure is pretty light so I didn't want to have to wash many dishes. They do have pots and pans but make sure you bring your own oil if you plan on cooking on the stove top. It does have a window AC unit up in the loft and it does cool down the entire cabin to a perfect temperature. It is in a secluded area with no cellphone service, which they do have wifi and I was able to connect to email, social media, and I was able to send iMessages but I was not able to text anyone else who didn't have an iphone and I was not able to make any phone calls (for me that was totally ok) I was not there to communicate with the outside world anyways! They do have a TV with satellite it worked great, we only watched a little of it before going to bed! lol Judy recommended a few hikes for us and we went with Sky Bridge and Natural Bridge which was beautiful. We also hiked to the suspension bridge and saw the "jumping rock" where you can swim in the water and jump off a huge rock. We are moderate hikers so all of these were pretty simple hikes with great scenery. Judy and Ken do live across the street but they did not impose on our stay and Judy did respond to my messages I sent quickly. I highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back soon.

Separate rooms up stairs and downstairs, spacious balcony with pristine hot tub, along with lots of other nice perks- if you are looking for a nice family spot this is it (:

  • Plenty of room for 6 people. Beds are very firm but much better than a sleeping bag on the ground! The hot tub is great. Parking is right in front of the cabin. The road is easy to get to with any car. Kitchen is stocked with what you need to make meals, just bring your food and spices!

    Lauren2019-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful cabin if you're looking to head out to Red River Gorge, and be close to the food and shops in Slade. The check-in and out process was very simple. Everything was very clean and the hot tub definitely made for a nice addition after long days of hikes on the nearby trails. There was a small issue with the WIFI when we arrived and when we messaged asking about resetting the router they instantly responded and were very communicative with support. The cabin was very accessible, bigger than expected, and would be highly recommended by our entire group!

With one of Kentucky’s tallest waterfalls (seasonal) and world class rock climbing out your front door, it’s a beautiful way to spend a vacation. Step off your porch and you’re just a short walk from the private cliff line and world class climbing. Even if you’re not a climber, you’ll love this place. This cabin sleeps 6 adults. • Queen bed in downstairs bedroom • 2 Queen beds in loft. Beds are separated by a wall divider • Full kitchen (stove top, oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, pots and pans, dishes) • Full bath (bring your own toiletries) • All linens and towels are provided • Porch • Gas grill • TV and DVD player • Picnic Table • Horseshoe game in front • WiFi available on the property (not at the cabin)
  • First time visiting the area from Ohio! Wendy and Craig were very responsive and the communication was always quick. They had great tips about where to explore and we had an awesome time!

  • Beautiful cabin in a peaceful location and only a couple minutes walk to some spectacular climbing. Would love to stay here again!

  • This is an amazing place to stay. The cabin is comfortable, cozy, and clean. The property is out of sight. Take time to walk to Torrent Falls, it will take your breath away.

  • A perfect spot!! Beautiful location, right off the road. So cozy and homey, I did not want to leave. Everything we needed was there and we surely enjoyed our stay!

  • Windy Corner is perfectly located for all your climbing needs! It is right next door to Southeast Mountain Guides, which we utilized two days (one for via ferrata and one for a guided climb). We also walked about three minutes out our front door and climbed a nice 5.8 route the morning we left. The cabin is cute and cozy. At first, I thought it was going to be too cold in the cabin but the hosts provide a gas fireplace and two electric heaters and the place heats up in no time. We had all the kitchen supplies we needed to make breakfast in the mornings. The beds were comfortable as well. My brother and our friends would definitely stay again for another climbing trip!

  • We had a wonderful weekend at Windy Cabin with our two toddlers who loved hiking around the property. The location is wonderful for accessing main parts of RRG as well as Natural Bridge State Park. My husband really enjoyed a half day of climbing on the property with Red River Outdoors. Great place!!

  • Cabin was very nice. Hiking in the back was beautiful , very friendly people. Had a blast.

    Samantha2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • The Windy Corner cabin was quite lovely for the two nights we stayed. Having a hot shower at the end of a day of climbing was just what we needed. The cabin was just the right size and far enough from the highway that we weren’t bothered by trucks speeding past. The cabin was centrally located smack dab in the middle of the Gorge and it was close to everything. We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. The best part honestly was the orange tabby named Veera who lives on the property and loves to follow you around and watch you climb. She’s super friendly and does quite the amazing job playing tour guide. We had such a lovely time that we’re already thinking about coming back again in the fall! Thanks for making our first stay at the Red River Gorge a good one!

  • Clean place and lots of amenities.

  • 10 out of 10! Wonderful property, I definitely recommend! The cabin had a different more modern vibe than your typical cabin. I felt at home almost immediately. Super clean and comfy, I couldn’t ask for much more. As noted, the drive way is pretty steep. Luckily I had my 4WD SUV. I probably wouldn’t take my sport coupe up the drive unless it were super dry. However, we had rain & cold temps during our stay. The hot tub was very nice when it wasn’t raining. Shortly after our check in we were welcomed by the cabin kitty! I called her Gravy. She’s very friendly and vocal, she will run inside to make sure everything is ok! I can’t wait to return! Thank you Sandy for accepting my stay on short notice!

  • Wonderful place!

    Justin2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • What a cozy little place! We usually make the rounds of distilleries this time of year, but for our honeymoon we wanted to just focus on each other. This cabin was perfect for the two of us.

    Abby2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Sandy's cottage was wonderful. We spent two nights there and could have easily spent a week. It has close access to Red Rover Gorge where we were able to do a couple different hikes. The hot tub was a treat after each of those hikes. The kitchen was well stocked and we had all the tools we needed to make our meals. One thing to note, the road getting up to the house was very steep. Had it been icy or snowing, I'm not sure if my Pontiac sedan would have made it up there. That aside, I would definitely stay here again.

  • This is a great property and was everything and more from what was advertised. The picture don’t even do justice to how amazing this property is. Do yourself a favor and book this property for your stay near Red River Gorge. I wish I could give it a 10 star rating.

    Chris2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • This listing is exactly as described. The views are breathtaking, the inside is clean, everything works and is easy to use. Ideal for multiple couples or a family but not so large you feel it isn't worth the value for just 2 people. My husband and I were super comfortable and loved the kitchen and all it's touches. If you expect to be cooking they provide a few spices and salt and pepper, though we ended up running out of salt, I'm sure they would provide some more if you asked. They don't provide any oil so make sure to bring some of those things. Also bring toiletries for longer stays as they provide some single serve but not quite enough for more than 1 night. For winter months, make sure to leave the lid on the hot tub and heat to desired temperature before getting in. 104 is toasty and perfect. It seriously was heaven. What a joy this place was! It was private and felt incredibly high end and exclusive!

    Mary Beth2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • The view from this cabin was spectacular! This place is close to natural bridge for great hikes but it has just as beautiful of a view right from the living room. In one weekend we had 60 degree beautiful sunshine on fall leaves to a snow capped hills the next morning! The best of both worlds and great for relaxing in the hot tub. If your looking for seclusion and serenity this cabin is for you. It’s cozy and comfortable and has everything one could need!

    Kim2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • The place was clean and comfy. We loved that we felt a bit remote while still be very close to great hiking! The hot tub was clean and fun. We spent the whole time talking about how we couldn’t wait to come back!

The cabin is our second adventure at building. The kitchen cabinet, all the trim, and the door to the bathroom is made from wood that came off a 100 plus year old barn located on the farm. The live edge counter is made from a maple tree we harvested on the farm. The cabin has a medal roof so you will be able to listen to the rain.
The area has many places to visit such as the Red River Gorge, Natural Bridge State Park, rock climbing areas, Mill Creek Lake, Red River Gorge Zipline, The Gorge Underground, Hoedown Island, Natural Bridge skylift, canoeing on Red River in the Gorge and several great places to eat.
  • What a jewel! This little house was spotless and with a very comfortable bed. Connie is definitely a super host. We even had coffee! Muir Valley is very close for a hike or climbing. My daughter and I enjoyed the trails and waterfalls. We will definitely return.

    Jacob2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect! When we saw 'tiny cabin' that's what we expected but this place was more than spacious and has absolutely everything you need. It's super cozy inside and the smell of wood is relaxing and adds to the experience. The kitchen exceeded all expectations, we had everything we needed to cook dinner and breakfast. The bed was comfy, the TV was big and the wifi was fast. There's a grill on the back porch and a fire pit with a bench next to it off to the side. It was close to all the trails we wanted to hike and the stars at night were to die for. Best of all, we were able to bring our dog and she was just as happy. Couldn't have asked for anything else. Will definitely stay again!

  • Excellent communication and hospitality. Was a great weekend getaway to spend time at the gorge made even better by the fact that we could bring our girls (fur kids)!

  • Connie’s little cabin is great for a nice trip to the gorge! It has everything you need and it was super clean and cozy. What an adorable place!

  • I have had some TERRIBLE Airbnb experiences in the past. This was certainly not one of them. Just when I was about to write AirBnB off I found this place perfect for a birthday trip with my Fiancé. Her only request was whatever we did, we had to bring our dogs. My choices were limited considering I needed a place that allowed pets. I looked for hours, about to settle on some dingy looking spots and then I found this little cabin at a reasonable price. I had two concerns. First, was this place far from the action/main hiking areas? Second, do the pictures depict the reality of the cabin? Turns out, it is the perfect driving distance from the gorge (about 7 miles from Miguel’s!) and the cabin was even better in person. I don’t throw around the word “cute” too often. But this place was cute as hell! My fiancé was in love and we had an amazing unforgettable weekend. Overall, -Cabin was perfect, clean, cozy and secluded -They allow dogs -Bed was very comfortable -Fantastic HVAC system for such a small space, super impressed -There is a grill, not sure if it’s in the description I didn’t see it. We were excited to use it -Connie was very responsive and accommodating. For example, the heating unit appeared to stop blowing out air, she was at my front door in like 7 minutes. (Turns out it was just doing a defrost cycle, absolutely nothing wrong with the unit) -Very close to red river gorge and other hiking/climbing/zip lining destinations There is really nothing negative to say. If you stay here you will not be disappointed.
