Places to stay in Pine Mountain Club
A cozy two bedroom cabin surrounded by giant pine and oak trees. Enjoy sitting outside and take in the mountain views! Watch the squirrels, Quail, Blue Jays and deer pass through. Take advantage of tour BBQ and have an outdoor cookout. Sit outside and see the amazing stars that look so close you can touch them with your hand. Make sure to wish upon a shooting star that you are sure to see streaking across the sky! For a video tour visit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUyBB-AeStc
No cleaning fee! We provide washed linens and washed towels for your stay unlike many properties on the mountain. We provide soap and shampoo in the bathroom. The barbecue is ready to go with propane. Our kitchen has all the essentials to make a great meal. We have 5 great restaurants less then one mile from the house. We have an indoor wood burning fireplace. We generally have wood there however you may want to bring some or pick some up at the general store one mile from the cabin. Outside we have a large picnic table with a few Adirondack chairs to sit outside and enjoy the pine trees and sounds of nature. We provide a propane barbecue everything you need to cook outside. We provide basic WIFI for you to use while at the cabin. Our mountain cabin in the Los Padres National Forest just 45 minutes from Bakersfield and 75 minutes from the San Fernando Valley. Pine Mountain is one of Southern California's best-kept secrets--a small alpine village with a four-season climate. We have light snow in the Winter, spectacular wildflowers in Spring, and gorgeous Fall colors. It's a wonderful getaway—and yet so close! During the winter if snowing snow chains may be required if you don't have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. If you have a special request just let us know.
There is several great hikes. My favorite is the Woodland waterfall hike. It is about a 1/2 mile to the 30 foot waterfall that flows year round. My favorite restaurant is La Lena Mexican but Pine Mountain Pizza co is a great choice as well. End the night at The Perch bar and restaurant. There are several fun shops in the village about a two minute drive from the cottage. Make sure to visit the Bear Claw Bakery in the village for Breakfast.
  • This is a simple and cozy cabin property. The environment is quiet and outstanding. The hiking site is unique and way up in the mountain. Highly recommended!

  • Single house cabin, quiet and away from the neighbors, a very cozy private retreat. Full set of ammenities and easy access to town, a great vacation spot!

    Lee2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Cute, simple, cozy cabin way up in the mountains. WiFi is provided, but no cable or Netflix access that I was aware of. Definitely the right choice if your looking for a secluded place to disconnect from the world for a bit. Host response time was great the entire trip.

    Ashton2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great except the wifi was extremely slow but overall a nice stay

    Daniel2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • A great place that doesn't seem like it belongs in California!

  • Rocco was extremely helpful and accommodating. Our stay at his cabin didn’t workout due to unforeseen circumstances but Rocco was amazing at finding us an alternative cabin for us to enjoy. We celebrated our anniversary there and had a fantastic time. We look forward to returning to Pine Mountain Club and hopefully staying at Rocco’s cabin. His customer service was superb!!

    Erika2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great value and location. The large windows throughout the cabin enhanced the experience tenfold (we spent our afternoons by the fire watching the snow melt and quails scurry across the ice). Rocco went above and beyond and was very communicative and helpful. Looking forward to coming back soon.

    Victoria2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Amazin cabin! I had a relax and beautiful time there. It was snowing and I love it. Rocco was great and attentive.

Additionally, if you own an all wheel drive vehicle, you should plan to bring it in the event of ice and/or snow. In warmer months, the A/C consists of a mobile unit that only needs to vent out of a door or window and can be moved from room to room. Additionally, we have two portable swamp coolers that can be moved, and only require water to run. Instructions will be available upon arrival. Please feel free to reach out if you have questions or need additional info.
Very private area. Only 1 part time neighbor on our street!
  • We went during the perfect time. It snowed 2 days prior and left a beautiful light blanket to enjoy. This place is inviting and tranquil. We grilled during the night and drank coffee on the nicely furnished patio in the morning. The pond is a zen touch. We also took a hike recommendation from the host's binder and had a wonderful time. Would definitely book again.

    Joann2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place was great, it's tucked away in a remote mountain town, but complete with all modern amenities. There is plenty of hiking in the immediate area. Alecia was incredibly responsive and we've already recommended this place to many of our friends. If you are traveling for an extended stay, we would recommend visiting a grocery store on your drive in because this location is a little secluded, but there is a full kitchen.

    Luke2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • A very nice Airbnb. With amazing views and a lovely cabin, it was super relaxing. I did get some snow on my way here, so I wasn't expecting that. Although, it was beautiful waking up seeing the morning snow. Just a warning, it does become super chilly at the cabin, but there's accommodations to make it warmer when you stay. I would love to come back here and I highly recommend it!

  • Beautiful cabin that combines rustic charm with modern function.

    Larry2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Humble and cozy place. Crazy fast internet.

    Azer Kaan2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I decided to shack up in a cabin for our anniversary and Alecia’s place could not have been more perfect. We planned on doing nothing but staying inside and relaxing and this was definitely the cabin for it. From the fireplace with seemingly unlimited wood, the full kitchen with coffee maker, the grill outside, the electric heated mattress pad and the comfiest of couches, this place was top notch. We also had a few questions during our stay and Alecia responded each time in record time. We’re already planning our next trip back! Thanks for the great stay Alecia.

    Adam2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this quaint, classic cabin with modern amenities. It felt like a getaway where we could turn off our screens and do activities like reading and doing puzzles, but we still had Alexa, wifi and TV streaming services so we weren't completely removed. The amenities are great! We loved the bathtub, fireplace and outdoor firepit. And Alecia is an excellent and quick communicator. If we have the chance, we would love to come back again.

Pine Mountain Club, CA, United States

The Wild Rose is a colorful, vintage adorned, dreamy cabin inspired by Las Americanas. We are nestled high up in the mountains of Los Padres National Forest at 6,000ft in a magical town called Pine Mountain Club. Located Only 80 minutes from Hollywood-- come experience nature, hiking and stargazing. Famous Mt. Pinos just 20 minutes up the road. Come get away from the hustle and bustle with endless trails, wildlife, and heavenly forest. Mi casa es su casa! Follow our IG @wildrosebnb
Our home uses only natural and organic cleaning supplies. We do our very best to have organic or true vintage linens, quality environmentally conscious soaps etc. The kitchen is small, great for easy cooking-- eggs, oatmeal, heating up a soup or pizza etc. Not the best kitchen for a full on large cooking session. There are a few restaurants only 5 minutes away. In our classic small town, we have a few small restaurants, a pub, park and one general store and a gas station.
We have neighbors! Although we have an unusually large land space (enough for an organic mini-farm) we do have folks close-by! We ask to keep your noise down past 10pm for kindness.
  • This little cabin is the perfect place to get away. It's much more spacious than the pictures make it appear and the place is perfectly decorated, from the Butterfly Loft to the multiple places to lounge around. The deck offers a perfect view of the mountain tops, an amazing place to sip coffee in the morning. Could not recommend this place highly enough!

    Leah2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic rustic cabin with wonderful views. The perfect hideaway! Thank you.

  • The Wild Rose cabin was just perfect! Emily was a grand host, very friendly and has great communication. Her place was very clean and neat, as well as super stylish. 10/10 I would highly recommend to stay at Emily’s place, cozy, cute, clean, and the views/area was beautiful. We would love to stay here again the next time we are in PMC!

  • The Wild Rose is a beautiful, spacious cabin off the side of the owner’s main house. My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend, and it was a peaceful spot at a great price. There were only two of us (plus our dog), but the cabin would’ve had plenty of space for four people as well. It’s close to a lot of hiking trails and Pine Mountain Club’s small collection of shops and restaurants. Emily was extremely kind and clear throughout the booking process, and she answered all of our questions in a quick and thoughtful manner. She also did an amazing job decorating the cabin! There was even a cozy dog bed, along with dog bowls and doggy bags. Highly recommend this spot!

    Alyssa2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is a gem! We had a very peaceful weekend staying here. The Room is so cozy and the balcony has amazing views! It is SO quiet and lovely. Emily is amazing! We will be back!

  • Emily is wonderful. This space is welcoming and charming. The home is perfectly located next to several beautiful hikes. All the little touches made is a very relaxing and enjoyable long weekend. Can’t wait to go back to the area! If you haven’t been here you should come!

  • Such a cute little cabin! Candace & Doug are absolutely the sweetest! They provided very detailed directions & information pertaining to the cabin & amenities. I also received a courtesy email regarding the weather conditions prior to our departure because we were expecting snow during our stay. The kids enjoyed the snow & playing with the games provided in the kid’s room. I highly recommend staying at The Tortoise & the Bear! Absolutely perfect for a family or a couple looking for a peaceful vacation or getaway. Thank you so much Candace & Doug your cabin is amazing! :)

  • The cabin-in-the-woods has been a repeat trip for us 6 times. That should say it all. Go if you really want a break from urban craziness and skier-mania. This is hiking, reading, , log fires, meal cooking, popcorn, games, and puzzles heaven! Also perfect for our dog. If you are depending on internet or landlines -foggetaboutit! When they are up, we view that as a bonus. A treasure, especially when it snows. One final tip - if you can journey here via 101 and Hwy 166, DO IT, even if it takes longer. From 101, Hwy 166 is a simply gorgeous drive. 5 via Frazier Park is more of a close-your-eyes until you get to PMC.

  • “You are a little closer to heaven in the Cabin in the Woods” how very true!!!! Timothys cabin is in my opinion one of the very best listings anywhere for value, location, serenity, setting, amenities and host communication. Did I say fresh clean air and peaceful pines and a welcoming crackling evening fire? Love this cabin and hope to return ASAP! Thank you Timothy for sharing your GEM.

  • Mona’s place was a great getaway! Very clean and cute cabin in the woods!

  • This cabin was perfect for our family mini mountain vacation. It’s cozy and located close to hiking trails. The views of the mountains are fabulous. Mona checked in with us and responded quickly. The beds and couch were comfy and the wood stove kept us warm and cozy. There was a variety of DVDs. The kids loved watching some original Garfield cartoons and Indiana Jones. They also really enjoyed the basket of toys and kids books.

    Natalie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Mona and Olaf’s place was amazing! It feels like you’re in the middle of nature, while being a close distance to the little town. The space was perfect for our family (with 3 kids). There were kids DVDs along with other DVDs (to include some classics like Indiana Jones!). There were also board games and music CDs. The little basket full of toys was also a fun surprise for my kids to play with. The back deck was amazing, and the kids had a fun time playing outside. There were sleds and other snow play items to use. There was a bit of snow left in the backyard, but we also drove down the road and found a sledding hill. The wood burning stove inside was perfect for staying warm and cozy. The kitchen has everything you could need to cook with, we did all of our meals at the house except for one. For dinner one night we all walked to the little town (about half a mile through neighborhoods) and ate at the cute little Mexican restaurant. The communication and response time with Mona was super quick, even though I know she was halfway across the world. I would recommend this home to any small family, or even two couples (since the bedrooms are on opposite sides of the house). Thank you so much Mona and Olaf for sharing your home!

  • This is a great place to get away and enjoy winter. The cabin is very cozy and located conveniently close to many hiking trails and recreational areas. And considering the rates that it's offered for, I would say it's a good value!!

    Kishan2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place was really nice and cozy. It’s centrally located, but the back faces a mountain so it feels secluded and quiet. There is no way she could list everything she has. She even had sleds and snow brick makers, so we built two igloos! Thank you!!

    Susanne2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • It was a clean and homey feel Cabin. Mona was quick with her responses even when she was in the Netherlands. The rooms were warm and the views were beautiful. Definitely want to come back.

    Gabriela2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • A great little cabin in the mountains nothing too fancy but enough for a great time. Really relaxing environment, the host has dvds, books and toys for the kids. Plenty of essentials around the house if you forgot something. The only thing that I didn’t like is that you will have to collect your trash when you leave and place it in separate containers about a mile down the road.

    Fernando2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time here. The place is smaller but laid out well and had everything we needed. The location is great! We were able to play in the snow right in the backyard and just walk up the street to see the lake. It is also very close to the small village where we even picked up pizza for dinner one night. Even with it being 12 degrees one night, we were always warm and toasty inside!

  • This place is AMAZING! The pictures don’t do it justice. The views are unreal. The inside of the cabin is so beautiful and cozy too! I went with a groups of friends for the weekend and we had the best time! A great place to relax and get away. Martha was such a great and helpful host. She and Ani were very quick to respond to any questions and were very accommodating! They helped us to have the best experience. This place has everything you can think of from cooking supplies to games! We will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend if you are looking for a little getaway to relax and enjoy nature’s best!

  • I’m not even sure where to start with this incredible space, we were so gutted to leave behind the beautiful view we woke up to every morning. The space was beautifully decorated and everything had been thought through. Martha had even privately messaged before hand with ideas on local hikes for us. The place was easy to check in to and the area itself was wonderful to get to see and within 90 minutes to downtown LA. Thanks so much Martha, I know a few of us will be planning our own trips just to come back here.

    Sophie2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely home in quiet mountain setting. We appreciated the giant windows and had plenty of room for our family. Very nice visit. A few notes that may help others: - We weren’t quite sure what to expect for the bedroom layout from the description. On the main level, there are 2 bedrooms (1 with a queen bed, 1 with 2 twin beds) and a hallway full bathroom. Upstairs, there is a large bedroom with 2 queens and attached full bathroom. We also saw a twin rollaway and a twin daybed that could potentially be used as beds upstairs. Note: you have to walk up a fair number of stairs to get from outside to the main level so make sure your group is able to do this. - Our Subaru did just fine with the driveway. If you are visiting in winter, you’ll probably want all wheel drive for the rest of the mountain roads anyway. - Make sure you sort your trash and individual recycling items as you go. You’ll need to take it to the transfer station on your way out of town and put individual items in the right places (brown glass in the brown glass bin etc). Some of you are probably thinking “of course!” but most of our group hadn’t ever seen anything like this. - Make sure you have directions with you (no cell service and it took a little while to get the WiFi working) - There were plenty of blankets and pillows. Definitely nice for a house like this! Overall, a great place to stay.

    Ronnie2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is cute and cozy, and was perfect for a weekend of snow play with our kids, 5 and 7. The living space was open and comfortable and the kitchen was better outfitted than many rentals I’ve used, both in terms of equipment and basic cooking and baking ingredients. Rural mountain living comes with some differences from city or suburban life, but the instructions from Jolie were detailed and accurate. She was also quick to answer any questions before and during our stay. This cabin was a great deal and exactly what we were looking for. We hope to be back again!

    Anthony2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a wooden treasure! It was a mix of a cabin in the woods but with the space of a vacation home. We had privacy but were within a 5 minute drive to the local general store. The place was well furnished with internet so we could entertain ourselves in the cold! The stars there were truly breathtaking. The wood stove was lovely and we would come back anytime.

Come enjoy the fresh air, solitude and charming forest views at this lovely mountain cabin. It's the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The cabin is located in a secluded area surrounded by forest, mountains and backs up to a beautiful hiking trail that leads to a lake. This cabin is designed for comfort and relaxation. Enjoy watching the birds play from one of the hammocks or lounge on the deck as you enjoy the fresh air and mountain views as you fire up the grill.
A truly rare find, one of the more secluded cabins in the area. Tucked away surrounded by forest and mountains on three sides and an empty lot on the other. The nearest cabin is over 100-ft away. There's a wonderful trail on the back side of the cabin that is perfect for hiking, nature watching or mountain biking. Grill up some BBQ on the deck or cook up a meal in the fully equipped kitchen. Stay toasty and set the mood by lighting up some logs in the rustic style fireplace. The record player is to enjoy some relaxing classical music or bring your own favorite records to play. Another option is to plug in your cell phone or mp3 player via aux cable. There are no TV's in the cabin, but who needs them when you have plenty of board games to play in the wooden treasure chest. For those that need to be connected, there is wifi in the cabin. The toddler playpen and toys are for your littlest ones to use. Smoking is Not Allowed anywhere on the property, including the cabin, deck or surrounding area.
Pine Mountain Club is a beautiful nature-loving community. The town is surrounded by gorgeous pine trees and is located in the Los Padres National Forest. There are several hiking trails and a waterfall to enjoy nearby. In the town center you will find several restaurants, bars, a gas station, general store and shops. It's very clean, friendly and peaceful up here.
  • My boyfriend and I loved the cabin! A great escape to recharge and relax. It was the easiest experience ever, a true vacation that took minimal planning. They cover it all! The cabin is labeled, organized and clean. The kitchen has everything you can think of. All it’s missing is a pizza pan we didn’t think of that when we decided to make homemade pizza. There was a cookie sheet which worked just as good! That’s just us though. Honestly fool proof. I never felt the need to reach out because they were on top of it. They email everything over before your trip and set up your personalized code so check in is a breeze. The ONLY things we thought of were a recycling bin. Couldn’t find one but it’s okay we made our own. Speaker remote was missing so we couldn’t connect via bluetooth, there was a used coffee filter left over from a previous guest which shame on that guest, no worries we just cleared it out. Games were run down but still enjoyed playing the giant connect four and games we had taken with us.

  • The cabin is beautiful and clean! There’s a record player with a lot of good music, the beds are comfortable, and the host attentive and responsive. Had a wonderful weekend here.

    Selena2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Our family had such a wonderful stay at The Tranquil Mountain Escape! The cabin was so charming, and the perfect size for our family. The fireplace was beautiful and easy to use, the toy chest was filled with fun games to play, and we really enjoyed the turntable and incredible record selection. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals all day. We loved the outside hammock swings for relaxing and enjoying the quiet mountain air. The cabin is in the perfect location, close to the town center with a handful of quaint restaurants and a general store, and a close drive to a number of beautiful mountain hikes. We can’t wait to come back to visit again!

    Emily2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is lovely. The decorations and detailing are very sweet. The master bedroom bed is quite comfortable. And I appreciated that they had nice kitchenware. Good pots and pans and utensils. Made it easy and enjoyable to stay in and cook. Very close access to the Pine Mountain Club shops, but when you are at the cabin, it still feels nice and secluded.

    Shannon2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time at the cabin and everything is just as we remembered and the same as pictures. Hosts were great and responsive. Our kids had a blast and the chest of toys/games were a plus. Cabin has all the amenities you require. We would definitely recommend this tranquil mountain escape and look forward to our next visit.

  • A few friends and I spent a weekend at Gerardo’s cabin. The location was easy to find a spaced a very good distance from other cabins in the area. I was a little concerned about that, as I know that there many cabins in close proximity to each other, but that was not the case. One of the best clues on how things are going to go, with pretty much anyone you engage in a business transaction, is how easy it is to communicate with them. Gerardo was a cinch and a pleasure to deal with. He was even willing to call and speak with me verbally and that went smoothly as well. He accommodated a couple different special requests I made and did so without a hassle. Check-in and entry was super easy and straightforward. We were able to select our own entry code and all guests were able to enter at will, without an problem. The cabin itself was super clean and cozy. Many thoughtful little touches can be found, throughout, everywhere you look. Plenty of space, but not cold and cavernous. Cozy really is the best word. Only about a mile from club facilities, a trip out to dinner was a short trip. The WiFi worked well and was solid enough to send pictures and video without much delay. We never experienced buffering or breaks in connection, which is always nice. Overall, our experience was outstanding and I’d have zero hesitation to book another stay. I would highly recommend staying at their cabin for a quiet, relaxing retreat.

    Tony2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was perfect. The hosts were very quick to respond to questions. There were so many thoughtful additions, like the giant bin of toys. It is a great place to stay with kids. Pine mountain is lovely.

    Krista2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place is perfection! My boyfriend and I had been looking for a truly secluded getaway and this place exceeded every expectation! It was private, cozy, and just wonderful! Every need was anticipated; the cabin was beyond adorable inside (we were obsessed w/ the lamp over the kitchen table!). We loved that everything was labeled; it made the whole experience that much easier; we would have been screwed without the fire sticks and instructions on how to use them. Seriously, if anyone is looking for a romantic getaway, or a fun place to take your kids to enjoy the great outdoors (there were tons of games and toys too) check this place out!! A million points to Gryffindor!

A family dog (or cat) is welcome in your room. Additional information: Golf, tennis swimming, sledding, birdwatching, hiking, hot-tubbing, stargazing, rock hunting, wildlife photography, wildlife painting, horseback riding, napping or just reading a book are among the pastimes available here.
Property Information : Located in Pine Mountain Club, less than an hour north of Santa Clarita and south of Bakersfield, the Old Bear is 18 easy driving miles west of I-5 in the Los Padres National Forest. Motor-touring, hiking, mountain-biking, golf, tennis, birdwatching, stargazing, four-wheeling, and even catch-and-release fishing are popular with our guests but, the best pastime is slowing down and recharging your batteries away from a hectic daily life. We are walking distance from the village with its restaurants, nightlife and shops. A glass of wine in the hot-tub while it snows is beyond compare. Our rooms (with either private bath or European style) are extremely comfy with incredible views of the nature around us. Each one is decorated with an eye toward one facet of our mountain life: Bluebird, Pine View, Cowboy, Garden, plus the Orion suite all echo themes you can see from our own back yard. You will be a stranger only once when you come to the Old Bear. Warm friendships, great community and the art of conversation abide here. With the guest/greeter dogs, Heidi and Moochi, available for petting, walks and treats, As the doctor says, "Open up, take a big breath and say,"Ahhhh!"
Our community is small, (appx. 3000 residents) and friendly. There are beautiful views wherever you look. Tons of trees, birds, and a dark night sky for stargazing.
  • David & Maxine's is a true B&B, complete with warm cozy wooden interior, wood-burning fireplace, guitars and piano available to play, and a hot tub out back. The room was huge and comfortable, and it was dead quiet at night. Will definitely return.

    Keene2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Maxine and David are perfect hosts! They have a beautiful property right in the middle of town, and very accessible. The touches were incredible, and not overdone. It was clean and they were very hospitable to us, made us feel very at home yet gave us our privacy as well. I had a concern about the cat on the premises as I am allergic, but there's only one and stays in their bedroom all the time. Never bothered me. I would highly recommend staying here, and we will be back!

    Maggie2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • David and Maxine have a fantastic ginormous Bed and Breakfast. We actually stayed in the Cowboy room and it is a nice spacious room. This place has so much to look at and explore. We really enjoyed staying there and wowee Maxine made us a fabulous breakfast as well. If we ever go back on the road we are going to stay again.

    Lianne2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The Old Bear was cozy and quaint. The room was decorated with sweet details (fresh flowers on the table) and other cabin-themed decorations. I am allergic to cats (my bad! It was mentioned in the add) but I didn’t really notice until the following morning. A great place that we will stay at again!

    Alyssa2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Maxine and David’s place s a little slice of heaven. Cozy and welcoming. Great breakfast. And wonderful hospitality. Pine Mountain is sweet community. We would highly recommend you stay here for your visit. Please ask Maxine about her beautiful art work. It’s spectacular!

    Lauri2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Picture a rustic lodge built of logs.. bright stars covering the sky, a delicious chill to the air, very little sound to disturb a quiet evening.. towering evergreens, evidence of a past snowfall on the ground.. a quiet, cozy room to relax for the night.. waking up to morning coffee and a delicious breakfast on the table... that was David and Maxine's place :)

This custom built home in Pine Mountain Club has many windows of all sizes to bring the outdoors in while flooding it with natural light. There are two private rooms, a roll out bed and a futon in front of the jacuzzi, where you can sleep under the stars while being inside. This is a very unique mountain getaway.
Up here in Pine Mtn we say everything is only 5 min away! We have a little Village with a grocery market, open 8am-8pm. We have a great Mexican restaurant, Pizza place, Bakery, an Art gallery with local artist! Gift shops and Real Estate offices!
  • Wonderful open plan loft cabin with great views, natural light, a great porch area, a grill and a hot tub. Very cosy and close enough to LA to be way less of a pain to get to than say, Big Bear.

    Heather2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Such a nice home! The Jacuzzi was literally the Best and there was a sun roof showing the stars! This is a great space to stay in! Especially in a town surrounded mostly by mountains! It’s a great getaway from LA! The home was warm, cozy, and filled with fun things to do.

    Selorm2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the hot tub under the stars!

    Aarti2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Would have loved to have more time to enjoy this cabin and all it's amenities. I didn't get a chance to play the piano, sit on any of its cool decks or make a fire in the wood stove but I thoroughly enjoyed the indoor jacuzzi.

    Joe2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing home up the hill at PMC. And so quiet! We enjoyed two days of peacefulness with making meals in the kitchen, morning coffee by the fireplace, and indoor soaking under the first quarter Moon.

    Stephanie2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Cynthia’s place is very magical and I was luck to spend New Years here with my friends. The hot tub is awesome and the layout of the whole cabin is great. She is very communicative and made our check in and check out easy as possible. I can’t wait to come back someday!

    Elle2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very beautiful house, very clean, very cozy.

    Aram2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Cynthia’s place is a gem in the mountains. If you’re looking to unplug and get away from a reality for a bit Cynthia’s place is a perfect destination. It beats driving up big bear windy roads if you need something closer to LA. The indoor jacuzzi is the cherry on top. Looking forward to staying again.

Our home is situated in Pine Mountain Club; a remote village in the mountains North of Los Angeles... we are a 5 minute drive from the center of town where small businesses, restaurants and small general store is located. Great hiking and walking trails are close by...
Very inviting and comfortable living spaces, and plush bedding will guarantee a good restful sleep. Wake up to unique wildlife and sleep under the stars...
We love the seclusion and the tranquility of the mountains, where wildlife is at your backdoor. The community offers many activities and festivals throughout the year that are celebrated in the town center.
  • We have stayed at this cabin before and my husband and I love it here. It’s so cozy, peaceful and very clean. Location is great ....very close to the bars and restaurants. We will for sure be coming back again. We highly recommend this place and the host is outstanding! Agusto is so quick in responding to any questions or concerns you may have.

    Amy2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • It is a great cabin with an amazing space. There are smart TVs in all the rooms. We did extra movie night this weekend. It was very clean. Communication with Augusto was very easy. The location is great. Thirty minutes from Mt. Pinos Nordic Base where my kids could play in the snow. And this weekend they even got to experience snow falling in the backyard. We had a great time.

    Ale2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place, with wonderful hospitality. My kids felt immediately at home and didn’t want to leave. Thank you Augusto and Kevin

    Ram Joseph2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • This house is great for group trips as it has many couches in the sitting room and a big dining table inside and outside. I mention that because a lot of 3 bedroom homes have a sitting area for 4. This house is clean, easy to find and comfy.

    Ella2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • The house is was sparkling clean when we arrived. It’s very comfortable and has many amenities. It’s in a very nice location. It’s beautifully decorated.

We truly believe that you will not find another cabin more lovingly decorated, each piece acquired one at a time, to complement the beauty of the mountain. It is private and tucked in tall pines but is walking distance to the village. We were recently notified by Airbnb that we received Superhost status for the eighth time in a row. We are so pleased about that as we work to make your stay better each time.
UPDATE: The film we spoke to you about below, Frazier Park Recut, is now available to stream for free on Amazon Prime, Google Play, and Microsoft Store!! We also now have a DVD at the cabin from the producers of the film so that guests can watch it at the cabin! All we ask is that you take good care of it and leave it where you found it. You can watch the cabin you're staying in in an indie horror film! How cool is that. [[We recently heard from a former guest that the film he made at our cabin, "Frazier Park Recut," premiered at the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival on April 28th! How exciting is that. What's even more exciting is that his film won first place in the category of "Horror/Thriller"!! We're very happy for him and hope to be able to meet him when the film opens in LA. :)]] Fall is gorgeous in Pine Mountain Club! Please note: Holiday times require a minimum 2-night stay. Also note: We do not charge a pet fee for your well-behaved and house-trained pets! Look at the radiant couple in our last photo! They just recently got married at the cabin and said their day was perfect. We love that! We own the property adjacent to the cabin, a park-like space available to our guests! It contains a horseshoe pit, horseshoes included; a rock pond with a waterfall, filled in the spring; a picnic table; many seating areas and benches; three covered benches for reading or relaxation; a wishing well; a windmill; walking paths; and decorative garden art. We hope our guests enjoy this new property and new feature of Anya's Cottages. Please contact us if you wish to rent only the outdoor space for day events. Contact us also about special events and retreats. We just hosted our first two weddings at the cabin and look forward to more! There are no cancellations for special events within 60 days. We truly believe that you will not find another cabin more lovingly decorated, each piece acquired one at a time, to complement the beauty of the mountain. Our cabin has been used by more than one film crew and for a number of club retreats. It borders the protected national forest and has a soothing, seasonal stream on the property. It is private and tucked in tall pines but is walking distance to the village where you can shop for groceries, browse for antiques, go to the local coffeehouse, dine, and listen to local music. The cabin has undergone a cleaning and an attractive renovation, which includes spa tile in the main bathroom; a rain shower head; hardwood flooring up and downstairs; a beautiful, full-sized stove, oven, and hood; new programmable coffeemaker; vacuum cleaner, mop, and broom; some new furniture and decorations; new pot and pan set; DVD player; log bed for the second bedroom (now in addition to the one in the master bedroom); IKEA twin bed and mattresses; 6 new pillows--4 down and 2 hypo-allergenic; designer down comforters; and, new fixtures in the downstairs bath. We also have some new deck furniture. But, most importantly: we have hooked up the new propane heater! And, what a difference it makes. Having gas heat in the bedroom/main bath area keeps you more toasty than most of the cabins do which tend to have electric heaters here in PMC. And, upstairs, the wood stove keeps you as warm as you'd like! This 1200+ square foot, two-story cabin has two bedrooms (one with a queen-sized log bed and a twin, the other with a full-sized log bed and a twin); a fold-out bed; a large fold-out sleeping pad; one-and-one-half baths; is paneled in knotty pine throughout and has hardwood floors up and downstairs; and filled with authentic vintage mountain furnishings, antiques, and cozy quilts. It also has several decks where you can relax in pure solitude and privacy and enjoy the tranquil scenery. And, if you simply can't leave all of civilization behind, the cabin comes equipped with free high-speed, broadband wireless Internet access (Wifi). Be sure to visit Fern's Lake which is half a block away. Kids, bring your fishing poles! In winter, you can sled just steps behind the property. The clubhouse in the village offers many activities and amenities, including golf, an outdoor pool (from Memorial Day to Labor Day), a bistro, and a recreation room for the children. Our guests receive use of four free guest passes for their entire stay. Mount Abel (Cerro Noroeste) and Mount Pinos (over 8000 feet) are nearby. Pine Mountain Club also offers a number of festivals throughout the year. The cabin sits at 5400 feet, so come and enjoy the snow in the winter, the bright blue skies and sunshine in the spring and summer, and the colors in autumn. You will not be disappointed.
It is quiet, safe, private, and so very peaceful.
  • Marilyn’s cabin is amazing! It’s located in Los Padres National Forest, which made for such a gorgeous drive and rustic, peaceful environment. My boyfriend and I have a crazy schedule, and she was able to work with us and modify our booking so we could maximize our downtime together. The cabin is so cozy, and makes you feel right at home. We loved playing horseshoes in the yard, as well as playing the array of boardgames Marilyn provided. She also has an awesome DVD collection which we took advantage of! There’s an awesome general store nearby which provides a great variety of food (from snacks to healthy, fresh produce and meat). It was such a relaxing, memorable getaway and we can’t wait to return!

  • Lovely cabin. Very convenient location. Highly recommend!

    Cynthia2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Like so many other reviews, this cabin was definitely cozy!! Super cool decorations that leveled up the cabin vibes. Easy to find and not too close to neighboring cabins. A few minutes of a walk to the lake, it was 75% frozen so that was a sight to see. There's also this cool small stream that runs behind the cabin. The general store is like a minute drive away. Rooms heat up nice. Marilyn quickly responded to any questions I had. Highly recommend this cabin.

  • What a great cabin in Pine mountain club, ca. Close to the small town and snow access. The host was more than helpful. Be sure to save or print all information before your arrival as service is limited. Would recommend this cabin to anyone!

    Ellen2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely views from the cabin, warm cozy and perfect for an intimate weekend getaway or a small celebration with friends

    Kirill2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is an incredible place! We arrived in the evening, we woke up to half a foot of snow! The place is extremely quaint, very cozy. We woke up with a snow storm outside so we lit some fire in the fireplace, made hot chocolate and cozied up on the couch. The beds are very comfortable, there is everything in the kitchen, there is bbq on the patio... We had a fantastic time. I would highly recommend the place... unless I am here, because I intend to come back!

    Miklos2019-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful little cabin! So much character! Very special place and super cozy. Spent an amazing weekend and planing on coming back.

Book our cabin and change your life. It changes ours, every time we’re here. Expect to lose the tension of Los Angeles and gain a sense of calm and well being. It’s the gentle sound of wind moving through pine trees, rocking on the front porch with a view of the San Emigdio Mountains, or the pleasure of sinking into a deep leather chair with a book in your lap and your dog at your feet. All this and more comes with the experience of renting our Pine Mountain Adventure Club.  Fully equipped kitchen. Free wifi and smart TV with Netflix and Amazon, but our rocking chairs on the porch and the backyard hammock are even better.  We love dogs, and welcome yours at our cabin. However, please note that they must be with you at all times; if you leave the cabin without them, they must be crated. At no time can a dog be in the backyard unattended, even if you're inside the cabin; PMC has predatory wildlife including bears, coyotes, and bobcats.  It's a cozy cabin just under 950 SF, and we want your group to be comfortable. Please contact us to discuss before booking: * While our home has a 4-guest limit, for some groups we can accommodate up to 6 with a pull-out couch and an additional per-person/per-night charge of $25. (We include children and infants in the count.) Please inquire! * We happily accept 1 dog per group, for a $25 fee. We sometimes can accommodate another (maximum 2) for an additional fee. Please inquire! * Please note that renting our home requires a $250 damage deposit.  * Early check in and check out are sometimes available by request. Please inquire! Pine Mountain Adventure Club is located in the Los Padres National Forest, just 90 minutes from Los Angeles. A cozy modern-lodge getaway with a large fenced backyard, you can take in beautiful views from the front porch and rear deck, stargaze from a hammock, or relax in our living room with a 20-foot ceiling, surrounded by books and blankets. Whether you're looking for a romantic escape or a centerpiece for family adventures, welcome to the club.  Our cabin's decor is rustic, and everything is more than comfortable.  - Living room with wood-burning fireplace and shamelessly comfy leather furnishings  - Pottery Barn couch, Natuzzi recliner, Crate and Barrel club chair   - Glass-paneled barrister bookshelves — everything from “Leaves of Grass” to Mad Magazine - Internet-enabled 55” Roku TV - Covered front porch with three rocking chairs  - Sunny deck with Adirondack chairs, with a cafe table and chairs  - Fully fenced, dog-friendly backyard with hammock, picnic table, sun shade, and an oversized rocking chair  - Fully equipped kitchen with coffee, tea, oil, and spices  - Beekman 1802 Fresh Air shampoo, conditioner, and body wash  Cabin rental includes passes to the clubhouse (a three-minute drive!), where you can hang out by the pool, play a round of golf at the PGA clubhouse, or shoot a game of pool. (Golfers pay a small greens fee.)  Pine Mountain Club is a private homeowner's association inside a national forest. Perfect for a romantic escape, a three-day hiking weekend with friends, a vacation with family, or even the chance to take your remote job to a space where your coworkers are woodpeckers and chipmunks.  - Tire chains may be mandatory in winter months, and that we cannot accept cancellations due to weather.   - The cabin has high-speed internet, but the ONLY cell service that works is Verizon.   - Be aware of wildlife; this can include deer, bears, bobcats, foxes, spiders, and even scorpions.   - No food left outside, or in your car, ever. This can attract bears.   - No music or loud talking outside after 10PM. This is an official PMC rule, and a very good one: The mountain is tranquil, we have neighbors we love, and sounds carry.  - No open fires outdoors allowed anywhere on Pine Mountain.

  • We had a great time during our stay. The house is perfectly located near town and has an awesome vibe. We went to the driving range at the local country club (access that is provided by Dana) which was an incredibly fun perk! Our dog also loved the spacious backyard and the provided doggy bed, and water/food dishes made packing easy! Dana was very attentive and overall made the trip very relaxing. We’ll definitely be back in the future when we need another break from LA. Thanks again!!

  • A great place for a quiet getaway that feels like home.

    Neil2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is even better than in the photos. Our family of 4 + 1 pup had a great weekend here. We felt immediately comfortable in this beautiful, cozy, and clean cabin.

    Jenny2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was spectacular, clean, and had lots of extra amenities. I love when there are easily accessible towels, washclothes, soap, etc. There was also a washer/dryer which is rare in a cabin of this size. They had instructions on local markets, shops, restaurants, and hiking. They included tools for keeping bears away too free for use. The fenced in front and back porch was a fantastic surprise for us because smaller dogs can get through small holes in yard fences (although the yard is also fenced well!). We are already planning on returning for a week some time in October.

    Joseph2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Top notch experience, all around! Definitely book this spot if you're looking for a quiet getaway with your best canine pal in a beautiful spot.

    Katie2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • This darling cabin was just perfect for our family and pups, Brady and Mae! Communication was quick and friendly and the cabin is so relaxing and beautiful. Love the decor and all of the special touches. It's all in the details they say and Dana and David have though of it all! Definitely need to come back when the snow falls:)

    Heidi2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Dana was such a perfect host! Accommodating, thoughtful, and responsive. My family and I enjoyed all the wonderful amenities, backyard space, and our easy access to nearby hikes. It is especially a perfect retreat for those with a dog. Highly recommend Dana and her lovely space. Thanks again, Dana!

    Rosa2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great time staying at Dana’s cabin! It was a perfect getaway from the city, and so comfortable. The cabin was full of games, had netflix for movies, and a great kitchen to cook. We all slept so well, and loved the hiking around the area and fun town area. The fenced in yard was so great for my small dog, she really enjoyed herself there too!

Our cozy modern mountain cabin with woodstove sleeps 4 comfortably! Relax on 2 sunny decks with mountain views. Serene surroundings. Wifi and bbq provided. Enjoy a gourmet kitchen and access to golfing, hiking and tennis. Village is 2 miles away and accessible through a local trail as well as via the roads.
Cozy modern mountain cabin in the Los Padres National Forest just 45 minutes from Bakersfield and 75 minutes from the San Fernando Valley. Pine Mountain is one of Southern California's best-kept secrets--a small alpine village with a four-season climate. We have light snow in the Winter, spectacular wildflowers in Spring, and gorgeous Fall colors. It's a wonderful getaway—and yet so close! Our two-story home is located on a quiet street at 5771 feet. Lovely pine ceilings throughout the cabin contribute to the warm ambience. The 1000 sq. ft. interior is furnished in a modern style with a leather sofa and some cool abstract art on the walls. The living room has a wood stove and 50" smart HDTV with direct satellite & Blu Ray DVD. A skylight in the living room brings in lots of light. The master bedroom (queen bed) is separate from the downstairs and reached via a spiral staircase leading up to French doors. The master bathroom adjoins the bedroom and has a skylight over the double length tiled shower. A second bedroom downstairs has a day bed with trundle. There is air conditioning in the living room as well as in the upstairs bedroom and 2 fans are provided-- although generally temps are not above 85 degrees on a hot day and generally drop into the 60's in the evening. Upper and lower decks offer lovely views of Mt. Pinos and the San Emigdio range. Relax on the sunny decks or in the Adirondack chair near the pond surrounded by pine trees. Plan to do some bbqing--it is so pleasant to do some grilling on the upper deck bbq and dine outdoors. Our cabin is clean and well-kept. It can comfortably accommodate 4 people--but from October to early December the smaller guest bedroom will have a full size mattress but not in a bedframe-- I am awaiting replacement of a murphy bed arriving in early December. So you must not mind having a mattress on the floor. PLEASE no smoking or pets! The jacuzzi is not included as an amenity due to drought restrictions on water. Mt. Pinos has the best view of the stars in So. California—star parties are common whenever there is a new moon. In addition, since we are in the Padres National Forest - wildlife (deer, raccoons, bobcat, fox, bunnies, squirrels, quail, stellar and scrub jays) abounds. Rare California Condor preserve located on Cerro Noroeste Road (main road through town) approximately 15 miles west. We have an extraordinary number of sunny days—it is rare to have a gloomy day. Since SNOW may be present during cooler months be sure to carry chains. Our roads are well-maintained but the CHP is strict about safety when snow is possible. Sledding awaits at Mt. Pinos just 15-20 minutes away, GREAT for cross-country skiing and snow-play destination! The local Village Commercial Center is 2 miles away and offers access to a market, gift shops, several restaurants, ice cream store, laundromat and a spa. There are lots of hiking trails nearby as well as a fishing pond! Mount Abel and Mt. Pinos are nearby offering cross country skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer. Fishing is available at Fern's Lake which is just a mile away. Horseback riding is available in the summer. Or simply relax on the deck and enjoy the fresh mountain air-- you won't want to leave! It is very peaceful to spend a few days here-- and also comfortable. We LOVE being here with time to read, hike, relax.....did I mention slowing down and enjoying life? BREATHE!
Pine Mountain Club is called the "nearby faraway place" because it is a little piece of heaven not so far from Los Angeles. We have the best "star parties" in So. California on a new moon. Great hiking and a host of other activities (e.g. fishing, gold, tennis, cycling) are available for those who love the outdoors.
  • A delight in every respect. An exquisite place to be and savor the mountains and sky and stars. The cabin is wonderful--sunny, lovely deck, nestled in trees up on the ridge, with a first class Wolf gas range and oven, lovely wood stove, every extra you would want in the kitchen, softest cotton sheets on the bed. We felt completely at home. The area is wild and you truly feel a thousand miles from LA. We loved the hiking trails. We give it 1000 stars!

  • Debra’s cabin is a wonderful spot to get away. The views are great, the mountain air is crisp and refreshing, and when very cold, the wood stove and on-site firewood is perfect. We cooked every meal in the cabin (on a Wolf range no less), and it was awesome to just hunker down and relax. We highly recommend this place - quiet and comfortable.

It’s located in a beautiful forest valley neighborhood with really nice views all around. We would definitely look into staying again on another trip to Pine Mountain Club!

*Due to the Coronavirus, we’re taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations. Daphne's Den is the bedroom on the lowest level of Adelaide Hill, a beautiful three- level mountain home on the edge of Pine Mountain Club with breathtaking views of the endless Chumash Wilderness. THIS IS NOT A SHARED RENTAL. Daphne's Den boasts a California king bed, a Moroccan-inspired floor bed in the sunken living room, Spa hot tub, large flat screen TV, and a full bathroom.
A perfect space for couples, artists, or anybody looking for a quiet retreat or work-from home alternative. Newly established in 2016, Adelaide Hill is a 2000- square foot, three level upscale home with everything you need for a mountain vacation. It's all yours! You will have access to the whole house (except for two bedrooms which will be locked or cordoned off), everything else depicted in the photos are spaces that you can enjoy, with complete privacy. Two bedrooms will be locked off, but there is still plenty of house for you to enjoy! To be clear, this is not a shared rental. There will be no other guests in the house. It's all yours. The reason I am able to offer the home in a much lesser rate is because it saves me in cleaning fees by keeping the two bedrooms locked off. There is still plenty of house to enjoy. It is perfect for couples or a small family who don't really need that much house. Again, this is not a shared rental. There will be no other renters in the house except you. Please do not email me with the questions “Are we sharing the house with other guests?” Or “Will we have the house all to ourselves?”. It’s all yours. There are no other renters staying with you. This is not a shared rental. Daphne's Den has one flat screen TV (One smart enabled), Directv, Netflix, Broadband internet, BBQ grill, board games, DVD player and a collection of movies to choose from, a Jawbone Jambox speaker to pair with the phone, fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, coffee makers and design, art, meditation and travel books for your enjoyment. Luxury Linens and towels are provided for everyone to use. You will be sleeping in a heavenly Aireloom California King bed fitted with imported Italian linens (Frette, Sferra, Nancy Koltes), a full bathroom with two shower heads, and Morrocan-style floor bed in the sunken living room. If you wanted to sleep by the fireplace in the living room, please let us know so we can set up the airbed. Relax by the fireplace under soaring ceilings and cozy cashmere blankets, or for the musicians out there hop to the up-right piano we have for you to play. For the beginning astronomer, we also have a telescope for you to gaze closer to the stars and planets during an unobstructed night sky. The night sky in Pine Mountain Club is known to be one of the darkest in Southern California and the Central Valley — perfect for stargazing. You’ll see the brightest moons and the galaxy like never before. The dining table seats 10 people but can be extended if necessary. Plus there are three additional bar stools over the kitchen bar. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel dishwasher, refrigerator equipped with cold filtered water for drinking, microwave, a full gas range, fully stocked pantry with everything you need to make your own gourmet meals. Additional amenities include a drip coffee maker, Nespresso machine (please bring capsules if you want to use this), an Italian Bialletti, a Coffee press, a milk frother, coffee grinder, toaster, dishes, utensils, All-clad pots and pans, Le Creuset pots, Slow cooker and blender. We love to cook so you will have access to all the herbs and spices in our pantry and a whole array of cookbooks. We recommend guests buy groceries prior to check in. Once you arrive you will not want to leave. Additional features of the home include a full size washer and dryer, centralized heat which is controlled by a Nest Thermostat, two air conditioners, one standing air conditioner, two ceiling fans, a massage table, an electric heater and a barbecue grill. There is a Big Jambox bluetooth stereo so you can pair your smart phones and listen to your favorite music all throughout the house. Books, playing cards, poker chips, board games, chess boards and puzzles are available for your enjoyment. A panoramic view ranges from Mt. Abel to the left, the Apache Saddle directly in front and a breathtaking, incredible view of the Los Padres National Forest beyond. Daphne's Den boasts a jacuzzi spa and outdoor hammock. When the sun goes down, let the sound of the wind through the pines serenade you to sleep. With four distinct seasons, you can visit in Fall and watch autumn colors light up the mountainsides. Snow creates a magical winter wonderland, Spring rains give way to the resurgence of native wild flowers and roses. Adelaide Hill was built with love and awareness. We hope that your stay will be influenced by the energies that surround and created this meaningful place.
You'll feel like you're in the most remote of locations while still being conveniently located. We are close to the Village Center, about a 1/2 mile or 10-15 minute walk. There you will find restaurants, cute antique stores, a coffee shop and bakery with home made pastries, a General Store, retail stores, a pub, fitness center, hair salon, The US Post Office and a gas station. If you’re looking for even deeper snow you can also drive to the world famous Mt. Pinos, about 30 minutes away. With the summit at 8,847 feet, it is not only the highest mountain in Ventura County, but it is one of the best astronomy viewing points in this hemisphere. As a result, it attracts lay and professional astronomers from the world over.
  • Corina’s place is beyond beautiful. I would recommend to anyone seeking to relax and get outdoors. We went to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and had the most amazing time on our trip. Corina provided a detailed list of hiking trails and activities nearby to ensure we have fun, as well as restaurants and stores to help us feel comfortable. The house is gorgeous and the view is breathtaking. Anyone will enjoy!

    Grace2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • We found Corina's tranquil space to be exactly as described, and it was everything we hoped it would be. We came for a quiet getaway and within less than 2 hours' drive from LA it felt like a world away. The hot tub outside has lovely views of the mountains. The bed was comfortable with a perfectly firm mattress and a nice selection of pillows. We really loved lounging on the floor bed and watching movies while enjoying the warmth of the pellet stove. Other highlights included cooking dinner in the well equipped kitchen, making s'mores, and cozying up by a fire with the ample firewood provided. We brought groceries but also enjoyed venturing out to the little local center where we picked up a few extras at the market and got take-out pizza one night (yum!).

    Taya2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place couldn’t be more perfect for a birthday getaway. The town was quaint and the cabin was everything we wanted and more. I really can’t speak more highly of it. Corina is a gracious host and is quick to reply. Will definitely be back!

    Saphira2020-02-21T00:00:00Z

  • Corina is such a great host with a Beautiful place. Great fast communications.

    Tim2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • We wanted a quiet, secluded cabin to recharge and got exactly that! There are so many inviting areas to curl up and read a book, cook in the fully stocked kitchen or turn into a raisin in the awesome hot tub! The only time we left was to walk 100 feet out the back where you cross into Los Padres National Forest and find endless hiking trails. For being so close to LA it’s amazing how mountainous and foresty it felt. We definitely want to go back!

    Heather2019-11-19T00:00:00Z

  • The Longview was an amazing stay, and in such a great location! My boyfriend and I stayed for Valentine’s Day weekend and it was the most relaxing weekend we have ever had. The location of the cabin perfect and the views were incredible. We enjoyed sitting outside on the deck looking up at the stars. The house was very clean, cozy, and a great value. Will definitely be back! Thank you Akida for opening up your home!

  • Amazing.

    Isabel2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • This home is absolutely beautiful with breathtaking views. We were so lucky to be able to stay as we were worried the snow would ruin our plans. The snow only made the trip more magical. Akida responded fast to all of my questions and was quite helpful. The house was beautiful with the kitchen upstairs and the bedrooms and tv downstairs. The large windows in the living room upstairs give you such a beautiful view. We did bring all of our own food and had a large cooler that was a pain to bring up the stairs so be prepared for that as the main entrance is upstairs as is the kitchen. Be prepared with chains and snow gear if it is snowing but the snow makes the house extra magical. Thanks Akida for the great stay we can’t wait to come back up to Pine Mountain Club.

  • The Longview is a wonderful, quiet getaway in Frazier Park. It’s in a friendly mountain neighborhood, but also very tucked away if you prefer to keep to yourself. We really appreciated the loving energy and subtle touches that made it feel like a real home away from home. We would absolutely stay there again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a little chill and a bit of snow this season. Charles & Brooke

The space is so comfortable, clean, welcoming, and has every little thing we can thing of to make our stay great. We were there for a few days this time and enjoyed cooking full meals in the perfect kitchenette space, watching classic movies, and taking in the gorgeous views and super sweet doggies! My little one is somewhat afraid of dogs due to some bad experiences, and Jennifer's dogs make her feel so secure and playful and unafraid bc they are such good dogs. Jennifer is a gem of a host!

  • Alexander’s cabin is a beautiful, rustic cabin. The home was clean, open and welcoming. There were extra blankets throughout to help ensure that everyone stayed warm and cozy. Almost every room in the house had stunning views of the snow capped mountains. The cabin is located just far enough from the highway that you feel far from the hustle and bustle of California but close to all the popular sledding areas. A few tips for future renters: 1. Make sure you download/print your check-in instructions prior to arriving as cell service is pretty much non existent (Verizon seemed to be the only one that worked) 2. The driveway is very downhill and will scratch your vehicle if it’s low, be careful! Angle yourself in! Overall, our family had a wonderful time here and I hope we can make it an annual tradition. Alexander was always helpful and got back to us in a timely manner if we had questions and was willing to work with us on anything we needed. BEDS ARE EXTRA SUPER COMFORTABLE. The Serrato/Luna Families

    Marely2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Alexander was quick with responding to all of our questions. The place was beautiful and clean. Our group is already talking about coming back for next winter !

    Hung2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This home is beautiful. Driving up the street, the first view of the house is outstanding. It's a residential area, so there are neighbors close by, but it still feels cozy and private. The backyard and the frontyard have an unexpected amount of space for snowplay, including a little hilly area in the front that allows for light sledding and snowball fights and some space in the backyard too, where we built a snowman. :-) The house has a really great vibe, a cozy cabin feel while still feeling modern and clean. Excellent up-keep is evident. The bedrooms are each very nice and cozy and well-appointed, with a closet or a luggage stand and a chair and nightstands in each one. All in all, there are really six sleeping places, though it's listed as 5 bedrooms, due to the loft and the basement bonus room (and the bonus room has a daybed with a trundle and two sofas, which at least one is a sleeper pull-out, but I believe they both were). The loft is hands-down the most beautiful room in the house, but there isn't much privacy, of course, so choose your bedrooms accordingly. All of the other bedrooms are pretty much the same, except the master opens to a very large en-suite bathroom with a shower and a large jacuzzi tub. The kitchen is pretty well stocked, even for large groups. We made multiple dinners and had just about everything we needed (though I think we lacked a frying pan and the baking sheets were on the mini side, so bring those, if you think you'll need them). Toilet paper, cleaning supplies, towels were all plenty for the weekend we were there. The decks are beautiful, though we didn't use them much, due to it being icy/snowy. I'm sure they're lovely in the spring and summer. All in all, this was a great place to have a family get together where we just stayed in for the weekend, got cozy, gathered around the fireplace or in the kitchen playing board-games and just chilling out. Thanks for a great vacay weekend, Alexander! And thank you for being so responsive!!

    Amanda2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • A great location and home for a getaway! Alexander was a fantastic host. He was quick to respond weeks in advance up until check-out. The home was clean and ready for us upon arrival with plenty of blankets, towels, utensils, etc. and was quite charming. Great open room for many guests and a beautiful upper room which was quite magical. The beds are very comfortable and the basement is great for watching a movie or playing games. Alexander was flexible when I asked for a later check-out. Hours after I left one of my friends realized he lost his wallet at the cabin. When I contacted Alexander he was very empathetic and told me he'd make his team on high alert, and also told me I was more than able to return to the cabin and look for it (despite having checked out hours earlier). My friend and I returned and retrieved the wallet (phew!) and Alexander circled back to confirm if we had found it.

  • We decided to celebrate Christmas at this beutiful cabin. We had an amazing time here. It was just perfect for our family and a relatively big group. Alexander was in constant communication and gave us great tips to be prepared for the snow. My family absolutely loved the cabin and we will definitely come back. Alexander thank you for hosting we will never forget this Christmas.

  • By far the BEST Airbnb I’ve stayed at. I don’t often leave reviews, but I will do so if my stay and experience has been outstanding. Felicity’s space did not disappoint. Her communication was prompt and she was able to accommodate me at a time of need and at a moment’s notice. What a tranquil, peaceful and AMAZING getaway if you’re looking to get out of the city or just want a cozy mountain cabin to suit your lifestyle. This space is beyond words. The cabin was clean, fully stocked and so comfortable and flat out GORGEOUS. Felicity is one of the most amazing humans I’ve ever met. She is also a professional quilter and if you get a chance to meet her and see her designs, you will be blown away. The room at the cozy quail is exactly as described - COZY with quails abound. Quiet and peaceful. Hands down, some of the best nights’ sleep I’ve had in years. The cabin’s theme matches that of the forest and mountain range of the locale. You would not believe her taste and fine details and touches. Felicity - I cannot express enough how on point you are as an Airbnb hostess...you know all the local spots, trails to hike and are so knowledgeable of mountain life in general - something that was new to me as a city girl. I wish you all the best and I can’t wait to bring Travis up to meet you. I will definitely reserve again when the time is right - and I look forward to that quilt girlie as soon as the timing is right for us both. YOU ARE AMAZING and thank you for everything! - xoxo - Kim (Los Angeles, Ca) <3

  • Beautiful house in the mountains, peace and tranquility in a dream place. One of the best Airbnb experiences we had, and Felícity is a great host. We would definitely go back to The Cozy Quail. Thank you Felicity for giving us such a beautiful home.

  • The cozy quail is a great place to stay in pine mountain . The area is beautiful. Felicity’s house is charming and there is a nice outdoors area with seating and a garden. This is a lovely place to get away from it all.

  • Felicity's place was cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay completely. Felicity is sweet and helpful. Thank you 😊

    Crista2019-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • The place was a real delight. Felicity had terrific recommendations for the area. The bed was probably the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. Cozy decor and comfortable furnishing. 2 thumbs up!

  • The Cozy Quail was very cozy, clean and delightful. Felicity was warm and very thoughtful. Her home is just a delight. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to stay there in the near future.

    Maxine2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Felicity and her home are so inviting, you will feel like an old friend in no time. The wood burning stove, crazy soft comfy bed, private bathroom, and access to the home and inviting yard made it hard to leave. Felicity is well organized and full of suggestions. If you don't mind a little rock scrambling, the short hike up to Waterford Falls is magical. Thanks, Felicity. BEST VALUE EVER!

    Claire2019-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is the most cozy and comfortable Airbnb we have ever been! Very clean and Felicity is always available for questions and helps wherever she can.

  • This is the first time we ever used Airbnb and I have to say we all loved the experience. When we first got to the cabin on Saturday as soon as we walked in the door it started snowing it was beautiful so we stayed indoors the whole day enjoying the cabin. The next day it was sunny and were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of location of the cabin. We look forward to coming back in the summertime and enjoy ing all the other experiences we can have here.

    Hector2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had the best time at this cozy cabin relaxing, playing games, reading books, and spending time outdoors. It was so nice to get away from technology and spend time together. The cabin is so cute and has so many nice touches. Our son loved playing with the toys and the outside playground. The beds were comfy and Delin was a wonderful host. We would definitely go back!

    Zephyr2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is the quintessential Air B and B, it's actually a cabin used by the owner's family which is the original intention of Air B and B :)

    Amy2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful getaway with my boys. The cabin was warm and cozy. We can't wait to come back in the spring to enjoy it again.

    Andrea2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great host! Denlin’s cabin was perfect for our New Year get-away without having to travel a long distance out of L.A. Also not having WiFi - disconnect from the world for a few hours was awesome. Highly recommend it!

    Franco2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • The location is great, the house is pretty big but still feel cozy. It is as expected very quiet. The neighbors are very nice, and helpful. If you have Tmobile do not expect service, which is from our point of view a plus to be fully disconnected. We wanted some snow, we got some ! 2 or 3 feet in 24 hours. Never seen in the last 20 years !!

    Cyril2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time at Denlin's beautiful cabin. We booked a very last minute trip, and Denlin was incredibly responsive and helpful every step of the way. This is an amazing get-away just 90 minutes out of LA that really feels like you're in a different world. Great local hiking just a few minutes from the cabin, with a very small community town about a mile away. Hoping to return in the future!

    Leah2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin truly lives up to the title. It was so cozy! All the antiques and heirlooms really made the cabin feel like a home away from home. Denlin was an awesome host! They communicated very well and gave great detailed instructions on everything. Would definitely stay here again!

The Cowboy Room is a large room with a queen bed and a single bed on the second floor. It has a beautiful view of San Emidgio mountains and local golf course. It's right next to the toy closet and across from the shared bathroom.
Property Information : Located in Pine Mountain Club, a little more than an hour north of Valencia and south of Bakersfield, the Old Bear is 18 easy driving miles West of I-5 in the Los Padres National Forest. Motor-touring, hiking, mountain biking, golf, tennis, birdwatching, stargazing, four-wheeling, and even catch-and-release fishing are popular with our guests but, the best pastime is slowing down and recharging your batteries away from a hectic daily life. We are only one block from the village with it's restaurants and shops. A glass of wine in the hot-tub while it snows is beyond compare. Our rooms (with either private bath or European style) are extremely comfy with incredible views of the nature around us. Each one is decorated with an eye toward one facet of our mountain life: Bluebird, Pineview, Cowboy, Garden, and the Orion suite all echo themes you can see from our own back yard. You will be a stranger only once when you come to the Old Bear. Warm friendships, great community and the art of conversation abide here. With the guest/greeter dogs, Heidi and Pepper, available for petting, walks and treats, As the doctor says, "Open up, take a big breath and say,"Ahhhh!"
Our community has appx 3000 full and part time residents. It is scenic and peaceful.

  • Super cozy bed & breakfast with the sweetest owners. There are 4 other guest bedrooms so you'll have other people to mingle with, which is how we found out about the great things going on in town! The house is stunning with lots of adorable cabin details. All the art inside is made by the talented Maxine and is for sale (some of the Airbnb guests purchased some!). Right next to the town center so you can walk to everything you need. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and much appreciated after a cozy sleep, we can't wait to come back!

  • Very clean! Very cozy, and with the best view! I loved my stay! The hosts were quick to communicate and respond with any questions!

    Mary2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Upon walking in we could smell the cleanliness and the home was spotless. There wasn’t a clue revealing another family was there hours prior. The host did a wonderful job highlighting things to do inside & outside of the home. Games, baking supplies, hiking trails, ink written letters to send out! The thoughtfulness in the decor, the history of the area to the type of paper that was used for all the reminders or notes around the home made our stay magical. Great way to bring in the new year.

Enjoy an easy inexpensive weekend getaway in this rustic mountain cabin just an hour and a half from LA. Rental includes access to clubhouse with live music on the weekends; beautiful mountain golf course; swimming pool in summer months; sledding in winter and hiking in the mountains year round. I rent this as a Housekeeping Cabin - guests bring their own sheets and towels and clean the cabin when they leave = no cleaning fee. I can arrange linens and cleaning for an additional fee.
My cabin is just an hour and a half from LA, halfway between the I-5 at the Grapevine and Santa Maria on the coast. Located on a cul-de-sac in Pine Mountain Club, a private community in the Los Padres National Forest. 35 minutes from Pyramid Lake and an hour from Magic Mountain. Available for rent any time. $140/night, 2 night minimum. 3 night minimum for some holiday periods, sometimes at a higher nightly rate - please inquire. There is normally no added cleaning fee for your rental because I rent this as a HOUSEKEEPING CABIN - guests provide their own sheets, towels and firewood and clean the cabin before leaving. It's easy and I provide a checklist and all cleaning supplies; cleaning service and/or linens can be provided at an additional cost. My cabin is located on two lots on a cul-de-sac, total 2/3 acre, and backs up to a green belt, so it feels very private. All knotty pine interior with lodge-like furnishings. Two large bedrooms (one with queen bed, one with one full bed and one twin bed); two extra twin mattresses in walk-in closet; high chair; one bathroom with combination tub/shower; stone fireplace; large deck overlooking wooded area. Large well-equipped kitchen including blender, coffee grinder, microwave, crock pot - everything but a dishwasher! Beautiful stained glass window in living room with scene of local hills. Three TVs; DVD, VCR and laser disc players with over 300 movies, plus books, board games and puzzles. Dual-pane windows for comfort summer and winter. Wifi internet connection and Magic Jack phone for domestic calls (at the moment there is only Verizon cell service in PMC.) Rental includes access to beautiful mountain golf course; swimming pool in summer months (pool opens Memorial Day); catch-and-release fishing in Fern Lake, a 15 minute walk away; tennis courts; basketball and volleyball court; children's playground; clubhouse with video game room, restaurant, lounge with wifi and live music on weekends. Village business area has restaurants, gas station, market, laundromat, post office; gift shops, internet cafe plus seasonal festivals and fairs. Hiking, sledding and cross country skiing on Mount Pinos (8800') 25 minutes away, and trail rides at the American Jousting Alliance 20 miles away. Just across the street from the cabin is a lovely wooded area with pathways leading to the village, and rustic tables under the trees - an easy woodsy walk without getting in the car, especially nice for little kids. In the winter I provide sleds, and you are welcome to use the extra boots and gloves for adults and kids that I keep in a closet downstairs. There is no smoking in the cabin. Roads are very well maintained by Pine Mountain Club but weather can change quickly in the mountains so be prepared with 4-wheel drive or chains in winter. Rarely, during snowy weather the rangers may stop you from driving in to PMC or up to Mt. Pinos if you don't carry chains, even if you're not required to put them on. Refundable $200 cleaning/security deposit required to hold reservation; deposit will be returned in full once the cabin has been checked and found clean and undamaged.
My cabin is on a cul-de-sac of about 12 homes, most of which are second homes and usually empty, so it's always very quiet on the street. My cabin looks out onto a green belt, with another wooded area across the street. Pine Mountain Club residents are friendly and helpful.
