  • Villas Adagio offer a beautiful and well equipped place to stay in a rural part of Croatia. The villa is very clean, spacious and modern. Communication is very quick and effective. Great experience overall!

  • Great complex and top villa! We had a great time! The place is a bit remote - perfect for a quiet and relaxed holiday in a private atmosphere! All important places (Pula, Porec, Rabac etc.) can be reached within 30 minutes. The communication with Ivan was great! We can warmly recommend Villa Seksta!

  • Nice clean accommodation in a very quiet location in the interior of Istria. Many interesting destinations can be reached without too long journeys by car, so that the house represents an ideal starting point. But you can also easily spend a day in the house, chill out by the pool or a small sauna session in the evening. Ideal with a few good friends! The four bedrooms are spacious and all equipped with private bath. I therefore recommend to rent the house with a total of 8 people. Also goes to ten if there are two painless, who have no problem sleeping on the couch or the extra bed. Highly recommended but really eight.

    Marco2018-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for a week with 10 people in the villa and it was really great! The house is big, clean and well equipped! Perfect for a holiday in a larger group! The nearest cities Pula and Poreč are easily accessible by car. The nearest supermarket is about 15 minutes (by car) and in the neighboring village there is an excellent pizzeria! The only minor drawback was that we only had 4 double beds so 2 had to sleep on the sofa. But for an 8th group I can only recommend the house!

    Nadine2018-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • It has everything fit perfectly - the house is very nice and the location although away, but many excursion destinations in the surrounding area. With children a very relaxing holiday.

This beautiful apartment is located in the village Petehi, a small quiet place near Barban. Barban is a small historical village situated on the plateau separating the Labin from Pula-Pola area. Ancient Romans used to live in the prehistoric hill-fort. Throughout history Barban had a strategical position dominating the high ground and controlling the valley and the bridge on the Raša river. Gradually, the village developed into the fortified castle with round and square towers, defensive walls, and big and small town gates as well as the citadel. In 1535 it was bought from the counts of Pazin-Pisino by the Venetian noble family Loredans whose members, although living in Barban only temporary and represented by the captain, pulled it down and built the palace and the parish church of St. Nicholas. In front of the big town gates, there is a small stone church of St. Anthony the Monk from the 15th century which interior is covered with frescoes. The most renowned historical person of Barban is a canon Pietro Stancovich (1771-1852), the author of the book 'Biographies of distinguished Istrians' where he immortalized 478 Istrian leading figures. Today Barban is well known for its knightly game Trka na prstenac (the race for the ring), the feast of wine and the fig festival.

Istria for gourmets The variety of Istrian cuisine comes from its rich history and the influences of foreign rulers, which are still to be found in numerous dishes. Elements of the Italian, European (Austria and Hungary) and Slavic are all represented in the Istrian kitchen. The north-western coast of Istria is rich in gastronmic delicacies: tasty mussels, the best sea-tongue from the Tarska Vala, delicious oysters from the Lim Fjord and the scampi from the bay of Kvarner. The centre of Istria offers traditional snails from Galizana, olive oil from Vodnjan and Tar, truffles from the valley of Mirna and the widely available wild mushrooms. Wines The Roman writers glorified not only the Istrian olive oil, but indeed the numerous wines of the Istrian peninsula. Wondrous powers were assigned to the Vinum Pucinum, and the Roman empress Julia Augusta thought she owed her vitality and unusual old age to the same wine. The great adventurer and lover Giacomo Casanova wrote in his famous memoirs about the excellent Istrian REFOSCO. The Austria-Hungarian monarchy also valued the high quality of Istrian wine. In 1875 in Porec, the mighty empire opened one of the three largest agriculture-wine schools of its time. The narrow railway line that was built from Trieste to Porec in 1902 is still affectionatly referred to by the locals as the wine-track. The most famous wines are Malvazija, Teran, Merlot, Hrvatica, Borgonja as well as a half-dry yellow and red Muskat. You can try these numerous wines in the various restaurants and konobas, as well as with the winemakers along the wine routes. Istria is a wonderful world in miniature;  it is the largest peninsula of the Adriatic, lies below the Alps, and is encircled by the Adriatic sea. Looking at the geographic map of Croatia you will find Istria immediately. It is based in the western-most part of the country, encircled by the sea, and it has the shape of a heart. The small islands and cultivated fields that stretch to the sea and a beautiful sunset, where the sun seems to melt into the sea, will stir the passions and will help you to discover new emotions. The eastern part of the peninsula is made of limestone. Its coast is full of rocks and high, nearly inaccessible, cliffs which will astonish you, and from the tops of which you will see the yellow and gilded sun that illuminates the landscape and the sea in a crystalline colour. In the spring and summer the landscape is covered in intense green, and in the autumn it is transformed magically into the colours of yellow and red that make the hills appear as if on fire. After you have tasted the oil of the olive and the truffle, you cannot but enjoy these simple foods for their intense flavour. Istria is a land rich with millennium history. Here were once settled Histrians, Romans, Goths, Byzantines, Lombardies, and  and in more recent ages also Venetians, the Napoleonic army and the Austro-Hungarian Empire. All of them have left indelible traces that have influenced not only the architecture but, above all, the culture of this world which always has been multiethnic and tolerant. Even today it is a land with many cultures and ethnic races, all living peacefully together. Popular historical and natural attractions of Istria to visit are: the Eufrasian Basilica in Porec, from the sixth century, which in 1997 has been inscribed by UNESCO on the World Heritage List; the national park of Brijuni (Brioni) which consists of 14 islands and over the centuries has been a very popular holiday resort. The remains of some roman villas testify to the fact that many personalities from the XX century have chosen Brijuni for their vacation. The best known among these is surely the former President of Yugoslavia, Marshall Josip Broz Tito. The ancient city of Pula, today the economic centre of Istria, fascinates above all for its roman remains, still very well conserved, like the imposing amphitheatre, the beautiful August temple and many others. Fans of good food will find in Istria many restaurants and taverns, where tasteful local and regional specialties are served. Furthermore the region is known for its excellent wines, whose secret is jealously guarded in Istrian wine cellars. An, often recommended, wine from among many is Istrian Malvazia, a typical white wine from the region. Young people who love the sun, the sea and entertainment, will surely not be disappointed, as all this is offered in the numerous tourist villages and in the holiday centres of Istria. Although Istria is one of the well known Mediterranean regions for holidays, its inland areas are yet to be discovered. We are referring to "green Istria", with its green hills and small hilltop villages, the white cliffs, the forests, the limestone hollows, the small churches and the old medieval castles covered with ivy. In near vicinity: Sightseeing, Shopping, Restaurants, Water sports, Swimming, Hiking, Hunting, Horseback riding, Cycling

NEW! Fully renovated Istrian stone house for The season 2016. Cozy interior and big courtyard with private pool, all in intact nature, ensure you absolute privacy, relaxation and holiday in the proper meaning of the word.
  • The house of Romina is just right for a relaxing holiday in Croatia. It is located in a relaxed and quiet region in Istria. The house itself is modern furnished and very well equipped. A big plus was the high level of cleanliness. The garden with pool and large grill was great for us and our dog. Especially for dogs, the garden is ideal because it is completely surrounded by a wall. In the surrounding area there are good opportunities in the forest to take longer hikes. Shops and restaurants can be reached in 10 minutes by car, to the sea you drive about half an hour, depending on where you want to go. Romina always answered our questions immediately. The communication with her has always been very pleasant. Whether as a couple, as a family, with or without a dog, you can only recommend the house of Romina. We will definitely come again!

  • This holiday home is wonderfully furnished and ideal for 4 people. A small IKEA house in the middle of Istria. Everything was extremely clean, you rarely see anything like that. The pool is perfectly adequate in size and the garden is ideal for resting. To eat we were several times in the Vorichi in the place Orihi, a fine restaurant but worth it. For snorkeling and swimming, the bays of Duga Luka (near Labin) are recommended if you like natural coves and have not forgotten the bathing shoes. If you arrive with a dog here also everything for a successful holiday. Very close to the house, the forests begin, here you can walk with the dog. The communication with Romina was great, she reacted quickly to everything, including a brief WLAN outage due to a heavy thunderstorm. The holiday for our two teenagers was thus saved.

  • Great house, great pool in a lovely quiet village. Good for families but watch out for the steep stairs if you have young kids! The nearby cave and idyllic play garden is a fantastic day out for the family. Zminj has good local restaurants and shops.

  • We really enjoyed this beautiful holiday home. It is clean and very well equipped. Quiet location, with many beautiful places nearby. There is only a small point for improvement: air conditioning in the bedrooms would make this beautiful holiday home perfect. It was our excellent first experience with Croatia. We will definitely be back.

  • We had a wonderful stay at this place. Everything was new, clean and very nicely furnshied/ arranged (as in the pictures!). Romina was extremly helpful and always happy to answer questions about the neighbourhood, places to go etc - even during our stay. Everything can be found nearby (supermarkets, ATM, restaurants, etc), however you will need a car. We can only recommend this place to everyone who wants to stay at a very peaceful & lovely place away from the hustle and bustle of the other touristic areas of Istria.

    Very spacious and tidy!
Kids are certainly happier because they are in nature every day. They love long walks by nature and picnics on the grass. In the summer, we buy berries along the way, and every afternoon we go swimming on Krnica, which is ten kilometers away. Our little ones know how to recognize birds by singing, and in the evening we watch the stars from the balcony. That feeling is not invaluable and we are all great hard to forget. We just love living in the village.
  • The apartment was clean and beautiful. The hosts were nice and generous.
