Go for adventure in a simple & secluded eco-house on a deserted beach. Local meals served in your house, cleaning & laundry included. Free ponies riding, kayak, surfboards, bodyboards, SUP, snorkel & fins. Perfect for relaxation, water sports, mountain, jungle & mangrove trecks. Discover local life : accompany locals to rice fields, fishing, market, school... Our project is financing community programs. Visit our 2nd house : https://www.airbnb.fr/rooms/5237806
Go for adventure in southern Palawan. This part of the island, off the beaten path, has retained its authentisme, traditional lifestyle and exuberant nature. On the threshold of the country's largest protected natural park, Palawan Ecolodge in sitio Malakibay (Rizal Town) is an ecological and social project whose goal is a very small scale tourism in harmony with local life. To enjoy this place, very isolated and difficult to reach, with limited solar power (without air conditioning or hot showers) and meals according to market arrivals it's better to be a bit adventurer, nature and authenticity lover. The Amihan house has a large bedroom with a double bed (1,8x2 m) and a mezzanine where with two double beds. Large terrace. Bathroom. 220V solar electricity, particularly limited during cloudy weather. Cold ice box. Beach beds and hammocks. Bath & beach towels, bed sheets, cleaning and laundry service are included (free laundry for your clothes every 5 days). Amihan and Habagat houses are beachfront and separated by 90m of vegetation. In the middle you have the kid’s play house. We are close enough to the sea to have permanent light winds, cool nights and less insects. We highly recommend to sleep with open shutters to benefit the night freshness, our natural "aircon". Note that our solar panels provide enough power for lightning and charging few cameras, cellphones, laptop... but not for air conditionned, fans or hot water. Our shower are local "tabo style" with a big drum and a small "tabo" (recipient) to shower you. Visit Amihan house with other pictures of our surroudings here : https://www.airbnb.fr/rooms/5237806 All inclusive means three meals. A drink (beer or soda) per person per meal is included, additional drinks can be purchased for 30 pesos. Coconut juice when available (if it's very windy, we don't climb the trees). Breakfast consist of (on order) : coffee, tea, hot chocolate, pancakes (plain or with fruits), toast, fresh fruit salad, eggs. Meals depends on the «catches of the day» and daily fresh market products. During bad weather we may not find seafood during several days. Local dishes are : vegetable salad with fresh palm vinegar and olive oil, fish or seafood (crab, shrimp, squid), meat : bbq, curry, stewed with palm vinegar and soy sauce (adobo), local noodles with vegetables and meat (pancit), meat or vegetable fried rolls (lumpia), fruits (mango, pineapple, banana, jackfruit ...), rice and coconut milk cakes (ibus or bibingka), casava cakes... We can adapt ourself to special diets : vegan, gluten free... The water comes from our wells, filtered by a traditional charcoal system. We manually pump it into a tank without the use of a generator. Tap water is drinkable but we also provide you with purified water jerrycans. Internet : The best is to buy a local sim card Smart (not Globe), to buy prepaid load and then to subscribe a prepaid internet like ALLOUT99 at 99 pesos for a week.
Ideal for lounging as for immersion in local life, Palawan Ecolodge is also a perfect place for water sports and mountain treks. Water sports At high tide or low tide, swimming is perfect as there is only sand without stones or reefs in front of the houses and enough depth which is not always the case in Palawan. At both ends of the bay and especially on the north side, there is immense coral reefs with a wide variety of species that you can easily reach by kayak. At the north end of the beach you can go up a river for 300 meters before reaching a beautiful mangrove. You can explore the maze and land near the house of our friend Santi who is friends with a bunch of monkeys. Depending on the season you may have nice waves: A shorebreak on sandy bottom or bigger waves on the reefs. For kitesurfing or windsurfing, both Amihan and Habagat prevailing winds fit well and are side shore. The first waves outside the reef are safe with 2 meters of depth. Trekking Palawan Ecolodge is at the entrance of Mount Mantalingahan Protected Landscape (the culminant point of Palawan), which won in 2013 the first national competition of protected areas. Although the specifications of the park plans to encourage ecotourism, it is still a very little visited area where new species of fauna and flora are still discovered. We can help you with authorizations and fees asked for those sites : Mt Mantalingahan, Tao't bato tribe, Mantayob falls, falls Turbong, Loran which range from few hours to several days expeditions. We are establishing partnership with the protected area administration to facilitate your visit and bring benefits to the local communities with a limited and respectful impact. And if you want to trek without a challenging expedition on the Mantalingahan there are also very nice walks around the house. You can for exemple reach the Rizal market with a 45mn walk along the sea, hiking small forested hills. Another very interesting trek is to walk to Tubo, a Palawan tribe village and then to continue to the Turbong falls through the jungle. From home, Tubo is a 2h walk, very easy at any age. It can also be a 30mn tricycle drive to Calupisan and then a 30mn walk. From tubo you can hire guides (500 pesos in total) to walk to the Turbong falls. It's a 2h very nice walk, quite steep with a thick vegetation. Ask the guide to cut for you walking sticks. We recommend light hiking shoes for the trek and plastic sandals to cross the rivers. Bring insect repellent, antisepctic and tweezers for thorns. No major difficulty, just watch what kind of tree you can grab (they are some thorny liana). However we would not recommend it for kids under 8 except is they are already used to this kind of trek.
  • A piece of paradise. Attentive staff, delicious food, a whole cove for your self. A perfect holiday vacation to get away from it all. Highly recommended and one place I would love to return to!

  • An amazingly peaceful experience. If you like spending your time in complete relaxation and surrounded by nature, this is the place to be. Mommy Sally’s crew will make sure your stay is as pleasant as it can be and are wonderful people to be around. Make sure to thank them for their hard work if you do get a chance to stay there for yourselves!

  • Great place to stay, all that you see on the net is exactly how it is. House next to the beach, a few animals to keep you company and the food was tasty and plentiful. This is a place you want to visit before it gets “discovered” Trevor, Kristy and Sam

  • As far as ecolodges go, this one was great! - . PROS: Open air living a few dozen yards from the beach. We didn’t put our shoes on for at least a week. Meals are good home cooked Filipino dishes with requests honored easily by the staff. Ask about lugaw for breakfast or fresh coconuts to drink and eat. We totally recommend the pancakes and eggs in the morning as they are delicious. The pups surrounding the house are friendly and we made friends with Lucky, a little German Shepard pup who was happy to play with our kids. The surf board and boogie boards were a great addition as was the snorkeling trip we took out to see the coral reef. - . TIPS - TIPS - TIPS 1. Water isn’t heated and electrical during the day is solar so electronic devices cannot be charged until the evening when the generator turns on (6pm to 9pm) so be prepared for that. We recommend bringing a solar charger; that helped us for charging phones so we could take pictures. - . 2. For those who have preferences for certain types of coffee we would recommend bringing your own powdered coffee or tea bags. - . 3. We were there in December and would still have benefited from a battery powered fan, especially at night. We highly recommend you bring one. - . 4. Be aware that with it being open air living there are a lot of noises at night - geckos, bats, waves, bugs chirping. It’s part of the charm but something you should be aware of especially if you’re used to city dwelling. - . 5. Bring your own snorkel gear - it’s helpful even though they have a set of fins there. Snorkel guide is about 500pp for a morning. - . 6. Certain parts of the drive to and from Puerto Princesa can be rough going so those sensitive to being car sick should bring something to mitigate this. I’m not particularly prone but still stuck my head out the window for some air at certain points. - . 7. Last but not least the sea sometimes is flat but when we were there, we had good sized waves, which our kids loved but you may want to consider floaties for little ones. - . 8. We were able to get some internet (not WiFi) when we were there and absolutely needed it (for example contacting our driver) though the staff are able to do this for you also. - . Thank you for your hospitality Palawan Ecolodge! We had an absolutely lovely stay.

  • Our family spent 4 days at Mommy Sally's place and were quite happy with our stay . The beach is beautiful, pristine and very remote. This is not a luxury resort and the accommodations are rustic, but as described. We enjoyed living off the grid for a few days and found the accommodations matched what had been described in other reviews. The food was delicious and quite varied. The house/hut was not fancy but we were comfortable throughout our stay. There are lizards and bats - they didn't bother us, but be aware that the house is completely open to the outside. The mosquito nets kept us safe from bugs and other pests. If you want a relaxing beach vacation in the middle of nowhere, this is the place. We made use of the kayaks, paddle boards and arranged for a local to take us to a reef for snorkeling.

  • We had a great time. The place is heavenly, the staff very helpful and attentive. The road is long to go but worth it!

  • We had great time at Mommy Sally's house. It is directly on the beach, in shade of palm trees, it was very quiet just as we wanted. The food was very good. House is cool, and it has beautiful terrace with view to ocean. We will come back if we visit Palawan.

Are you up for a Palawan adventure? There's no better way than to go to an off-the-beaten-path beach vacation! Surya is located inside a 2-hectare beachfront community in a remote but accessible village in Aborlan, just the next town south of Puerto Princesa. The front boasts of amazing views of the ocean, the sunrise and the moonrise and the back, of the mountains and the sunset. :) If you're up for some authentic tropical island adventure, you are most welcome to stay with us!
The COTTAGE is a 40 sqm well-designed thatched-roof loft space that is right in front of the beach. In the morning, you can enjoy the vast view of the ocean from the huge windows at the loft. At night, relax underneath the skylight and stargaze or catch the full moon once a month.
The roads going to Surya is quite an adventure. Going out of Puerto Princesa city, you will pass by coastal towns, the famous Acacia Tunnel (a magical row of Acacia trees that form into a tunnel along Puerto Princesa South Road), rice fields, and a 5-km dirt road to end your journey. When you reach Surya, you will be welcomed to a two-hectare private, fenced, and well maintained beach community. Apart from a couple of private houses, the rest of the area is filled with nothing but coconut trees :) There are mangroves in some parts of the shore and outside the community fence. If you’re looking for more adventure, feel free to explore them. You might see wild animals like monitor lizards, squirrels, different bird species, and maybe even snakes so explore with caution. Brownouts occur from time to time, but a generator is available so don't fret :) The locals are friendly and speak Tagalog and English.
  • This is an amazing place to stay if you want peace and tranquility. The villa is right at the beach in a super relaxing setting. Perfect spot if you want to get away and relax. The food was amazing. And the staff was very friendly and helpful. Also the owner was really caring and helpful with recommendations. We had a great time there and we can highly recommend it. Please be aware, that there is nothing around to do 😉

  • Definitely a must visit place if you're visiting Palawan. This is a perfect hideaway where you can just chill, unwind and be with the beautiful nature that Palawan can offer. It's not the easiest place to get to because of the rocky roads, but with just 1.5-2 hour drive from Puerto Princesa this is the most worth it place you can get to. The views are superb from morning to sunset. And the place has very cheerful, hospitable and helpful staff. JM is also very quick in his responses and gives quite substantial information for you to enjoy your stay. I highly recommend this place.

  • The place is adorable with very nice hosts. I like hanging at this empty beach every morning. Just a piece of heaven

  • This place has a lot of surprises. Are you looking for 100% relaxation? You can find it here in Surya. Worth every cent!

  • Surya Beach Resort was great. The cottage & staff were amazing! Can’t wait yo go back...

  • Our stay at surya was perfect. It was the first stay after me and my boyfriend were reunited after a month apart and it was perfect. The room is beautiful, large, clean, and airy. The only thing is that there isn't daily housekeeping. There's a lot of ants, which is fine generally as I expect bugs, but on the day we left I found they'd all gone into my bag to get at some bamboo straws I had in there. The staff were lovely, attentive, and hospitable. The driver was around half an hour late to collect us from the airport which left us waiting for a while, however it was sunny so tgis was okay. The food cooked was delicious and 2 nights we used the grill to cook local food bought at the market. It really was the perfect stay. The beach and nearby town was beautiful, as were estrella falls. The host was super responsive despite being away travelling and it was perfect to be off the beaten track. Would definitely recommend staying here!

10 kilometers away from El Nido, a villa of 140sqm2 located in quiet and relaxing environment with a tropical garden surrounding the natural swimming pool. Close to Lio Beach on the way to Nacpan Beach. Breakfast is included, delivered directly to the villa.
The villa is located in the village of Villa Libertad, in a very quiet residential neighborhood . The villa (140sqm2) includes two comfortable bedrooms with air-con, king size and queen size beds, one modern bathroom to share with hot water, one separate toilet, a spacious open space living area with a kitchen fully equipped. Please note that the guest bedroom is located on the second floor. The natural swimming pool is naturally filtered through plants, no chemical used. A more natural way of cooling off. The villa comes with a daily housekeeping service. On a more personal note this house was my home with so many memories, years of improving it, taking care of it, I'm still amazed by the natural swimming pool. Such a peaceful place.
Less than 5 minutes driving from the house, you will find Lio Beach (on the way to Nacpan Beach). A long stretch of white sand beach with dozen of restaurants ( pizza, burgers, international, french, filipino...) and a large variety of shops ( spa, scuba diving, island hoping, travel agency, ATM...) plenty of activities like paddling, surfing, beach volley. A perfect place for a late afternoon drink with stunning sunsets. The airport is next by. El Nido town is 10 min driving away from the house.
  • It is a really great and extraordinary place to stay. The entire house was stylishly decorated and we just felt comfortable in every room. We especially liked the open-plan bathroom. From the open living and dining area you had a great view of the very well-kept garden with the natural pool, which invited you to swim at any time. When booking a natural resort, you should be aware that there are also animals such as geckos, spiders and other insects in the open-plan rooms. The bedrooms were largely animal-free. The property was one of the cleanest on our entire trip. The locals around the property were extremely friendly and helpful. We were even invited to the village festival several times. Since the accommodation is a little out of the way, we were provided with a cell phone with all the important contacts (breakfast, transport, scooter rental, housekeeping ...). Overall, a very nice experience that we would have again and again. Thanks a lot for this!

  • The holiday villa is very comfortable and the ecological environment is particularly good. At night we also found the frog by the pool. The children were very happy to see it. I am honored to have stayed in your villa and left a wonderful impression on us this holiday.

  • Had a wonderful stay at Vincent’s house. The place is exactly as pictured in the listing. The local phone that is provided was super helpful and everyone from the housekeepers to the maintenance guy to the tricycle drivers were quick to respond. There is a very sweet and friendly cat on the premises that was welcomed company. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay by Lio Beach.

  • Beautiful, comfortable and very relaxing space to retreat to. We stayed for over a week and we have always looked forward to coming 'home' after a full day of island hopping tour. There were days when we'd simply stay and enjoy the serene place.

  • Really nice place!

  • WOW. WOW. WOW. By far the best AirBnB yet! Crazy villa, awesome natural pool, gorgeous open air shower, great chilling spots, hammocks. Loved everything about it. There was a phone with all the contact numbers we needed - Tricycles, Delivery, Host, etc... The host had given us free chips, snacks, fruit bowl, water. The villa was top-notch. Extremely great price for what you get. 7-10 minutes away from Lio Beach by tricycle. Henna was very friendly & helped us find our way & gave us a ride. All was perfect. 10/10. Must rent if you’re in LIO!

  • What a fantastic place to stay in Sibiltan. Our bungalow was amazing with a great big balcony and 2 hammocks. We often just hung out there and had the dogs keeping us company as well which was the icing on the cake. Its nice to get away from the crowds and find some peace and Dakila offered us this for sure. We also did a fantastic boat trip to neighbouring islands which was brilliant. Can highly recommend!

  • Definitely the best airbnb we've stayed at so far. Tom and his wife Belle will treat you like family and the breakfast and dinner are absolutely great. The talks we've had with our hosts felt like speaking to people we've known for a long time. Noel, their housekeeper, can take you on a daytrip on a private motorboat, which is definitely recommendable and priced reasonably. The beautiful and clean house is located in Caramay, Roxas and ~50m from an amazing beach, which you'll have all by yourself. You'll have the upper floor and can use the awesome treehouse which is directly at the beach. The hosts totally respect privacy and never went upstairs or to the treehouse. Another plus is that you can drink the tap water as it comes from a well and is filtered. Just a 2 mins walk away there's a little store where you can buy basic items. Just be aware that there's not much else around here (to get to Port Barton is quite expensive and it takes some time). However, if you're looking for a serene and beautiful place to stay a couple of days at, go to Tom's and Belle's! 10/10 - Thanks for everything Tom & Belle!

    Christoph2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful , very clean and peaceful place to stay in Roxas, Palawan. Meals are great and abundant. Lovely couple and very hospitable.

    Matthias2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • The first and most important are the people who host this place. Tom and his wife are very friendly open for conversations. Bella’s cooking is superb! Her breakfast is so huge that we skipped lunch during our stay. Same applies for the dinners. This is the first Airbnb that we felt like we are at our own home. See you soon!

    Zhivko2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a nice stay at Tom's house. The location of the house is breathtaking and you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves. It is a little bit outside, but Tom helps to organize the arrival and departure. We would recommend it to everyone who wants to have some rest for a few days. The hospitality of Tom and his wife makes you feel at home and the food is very tasty. The private boat tour is also recommended. We would come back anytime.

    Jannik2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended.. Great location to stop off for a day or two if if you’re driving up to el nido from PP. The loft is private and has plenty of space, with a nice balcony that overlooks the garden and beach. The beach isn’t great so be aware of that, but that’s not why we chose to stay here. Toms and his wife look after the guests well, providing breakfast and dinner at a nominal cost. Thanks!

    Danny2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in Tom's house for 2 nights, it was excellent. Room very cozy and spacious with wonderful view and lovely garden around. Food was delicious, served in the house, we had breakfast and dinner everyday. Host was fantastic, couldn't be more accommodating, made us feel at home, we really enjoyed his company. Hope to stay here again in the future .

    Piotr2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The most amazing hospitality we’ve ever received in an Airbnb. We absolutely loved our stay. Belle and Tom were very welcoming and helped us with everything from transportation to organising an amazing private boat trip. The location and loft itself was beautiful and to top it all off Belle made the most delicious meals. Can’t recommend enough.

  • Pictures and words can't describe how incredible this place is. The views are amazing and the location on the beach is perfect. The part that makes the difference is the accommodations Henry and Bash made for us. They arranged transportation for our early ferry trip and the restaurant created food that we craved that wasn't on the menu. I highly recommend staying here.

    Clarissa2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Incredibly great luxury apartment on Nacpan Beach. Great location, great service. Not for people who are sensitive to noise.

    Tara2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • One word 'INCREDIBLE'. Me and my partner loved our stay here from start to finish. In fact, I actually cried when it came to leave. The villa, is certainly the 'one and only' and waking up (not even having to leave the bed) to views that can only be described as paradise, was unforgettable! The staff were absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond - ANYTHING we needed, they made sure we had. Breakfast, snorkelling trip and sailing trip were all included. Nacpan Beach itself is idyllic and Sumnai, the restaurant beside the villa, is stunning at sunset with delicious food and live acts. I have travelled around the world and can boldly stay - this was the best stay I ever have had. Do not hesitate - heaven on earth awaits!!

  • Amazing pad on a stunning beach. A great space to relax & enjoy Nacpan. You are right next door to the Sunmai Restaurant which is super convenient - the staff there are awesome. The breakfast wasn’t much but they always went over an above to get us something extra if we ordered it. Free sun beds on the beach and laundry if needed was an added bonus. Watching the baby turtles being released was also pretty cool. One thing, the trek to town was a little long and partly on a bumpy road. You can easily 3-5 days here but consider the extra effort if you plan on doing a lot of touring (which commences from El Nido town). We only did one tour as a result but maybe we were just being lazy and didn’t mind soaking up the sun and enjoying the beautiful water at Nacpan Beach!

  • Super beautiful sea view, very comfortable to live

  • Stunning view, love how the place was very well put together, cathedral ceilings, glass doors that brings the outdoors in, bright, spacious and very clean! I am already telling and showing friends photos of the place on FB. Staff very helpful with fresh towels, drinking water. Overall great stay. I highly recommend!

    Irene2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • I would highly recommend this Airbnb for anyone looking to stay in Nacpan. Without a doubt the best spot on the beach. We enjoyed our stay so much we extended it another night and are so appreciative of the hospitality we received. The best spot to eat is the restaurant located just downstairs and the staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome.

The COTTAGE is a 76 sqm well-designed thatched-roof loft space that is right in front of the beach. - It has a porch for relaxing and dining. - It can accommodate up to 6 guests. - It has a spacious private shower and toilet. - It offers the basic comforts of a home (air-conditioning, cable TV, hot shower).
  • Such an amazing little paradise! We hope to be back someday! Would definitely recommend highly to anyone!

  • Had a really enjoyable relaxing stay staff were super friendly and very helpful food was really good sunrise was truly amazing This is a place I could stay for a very long time Thank you all 👍

    Robert2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is an absolute gem. As described in the listing it is pretty remote but it’s absolutely perfect if you’re after much needed rest and relaxation! JM and his staff really go the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable. Beautiful sunrise and sunset views every day. It was such a treat to sit on the beach and watch the sunrise, have breakfast, explore Surya and then return for a lovely dinner. The food was simple yet authentic. I felt as though I was at home. Book this place if you want to get away from everything. Perfect for a couple’s getaway!

    Anna-Kaye2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn’t speak more highly of our time at Surya. It is an oasis housing your own private beach access and exceptional service. All I wish is that we would have booked it for longer! The amenities are unbelievable, super clean, and the staff are the sweetest. There are sand fleas, but that’s to be expected! Just bring along some big spray and you’ll be great. You’ll enjoy the sunrises and walks along the beach!

    Sara2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Everything as described. We had three great days, the staff is very nice and helpful. The beach is really nice and very deserted. Unfortunately we couldn't snorkel and the resort is a little out of the way. So perfect for relaxing and sunbathing. Thanks again!

    Jessica2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • It’s very beautiful place!! I recommend this place for everyone! I can’t forget this place!!:) thank you for everything!

    Vladimir2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you JM, Jen and Michelle for allowing us to stay at your get-away home! This place is truly amazing. The drive to get there is unforgettable, you will have to go on dirt road and just when you think you’re going the wrong way, you get there. The actual cottage was so cute! The bathroom feels very modern but gives off an island feel. You also have a net over the bed, for obvious reasons. The cottage, the environment is everything what we expected. Now this place is secluded so don’t expect to see lots of people. The staff on-site were very friendly! We actually socialized with them. They recommended where we should swim, venture off and other activities. This Airbnb also has dogs, they are so friendly and cute. They will sit next to you while you eat breakfast, lunch & dinner, they just want to keep you company :) We definitely enjoyed all the meals, we couldn’t get enough of the rice porridge for breakfast and the chicken curry for both lunch & dinner. When you wake up, the sun rises right outside your doors and it’s mesmerizing. Be sure to bring extra flip flops. We brought a lot of the sand in because we didn’t have extra flip flops. There is WiFi but it’s not very strong. It was just myself, my brother and mother at the cottage, we really spent quality time with each-other. This place is very relaxing and we were so sad to leave. We definitely recommend this place because it’s a true get-away.

Felice Cafe is a vacation home located just on the outskirts of Puerto Princesa - far enough from town to have your peace and quiet, near enough to be in touch with the basics. It is a cozy cottage surrounded by coffee trees with friendly dogs on the property. Enjoy your morning in the balcony where you can enjoy the green with the sound of birds, take a midday dip in the pool, drink coffee by the coffee trees and an open kitchen where everyone is welcome to cook and dine.
Our place is cradled by acacia and bamboo trees, it gives the perfect shade so you can shy away from the sun and enjoy a peaceful morning/afternoon/evening in our quiet little nest. Currently working on our farm so we can serve from the garden and soon, on our table. :)
There are few hotels and restaurants in the neighborhood, it's nice to take a walk in the morning or in the afternoon. Our place is a ten-minute walk from the beach where you can read a book while basking in the sun or enjoy a cold bottle of beer.
  • Steve's place is a true secret garden full of coffee trees with a small, cozy cottage with hammocks, comfortable terrace furniture, a small swimming pool and a zen that enable to chill out for real! Both Steve and the house maid Rona are very helpful and easy going so the communication goes very well before the arrival as well as during the stay. Don't hesitate to taste with Philippino place!

    Karolina2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Steve's place was amazing! We booked into felice cafe for New year's eve, and it was just gorgeous. The house itself is beautiful, with a beautiful view across the balcony, and an amazing little pool which you share with Steve and his girlfriend. Whilst we were there he was away with friends so we had the place to ourself. It was lovely and romantic and Rhona, his housekeeper, was attentive, thoughtful, and friendly. We felt really welcome. The whole place was perfectly maintained, and extremely clean. It's set back from the main road which means it's lovely and private, and super quiet (apart from new years eve videoke, but hey, we're in the Philippines what can we expect?) The location was great. A tricycle to the airport was only 80 pesos, and there's a reasonable bike rental shop just across the road. We decided to ride to el nido, and so Steve and rhona allowed us to leave our bags there to collect at a later date. Their hospitality was outstanding. It was truly faultless and fantastic value for money. If we are ever in puerto again this is definitely where we'll stay!

    Ruby2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Five stars each category. Stars don’t tell the full story so here are a few words: Relaxing, coffee tree/jungle setting, peaceful, quiet except for roosters crowing, close enough to to everything, yet far enough away to feel a part of community and away from the hustle of city center, Steve and help are cordial, pleasant, fun, helpful. Here is another word...ahhhhh.

    Paul2019-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • One word : PERFECT ! The place was amazing, peaceful and so cozy. Steve was very helpful during our stay : he booked a tour for us, gave us advices for restaurants and bars ! If one day I have the chance to go back to Puerto Princesa I will definitely stay at Steve’s again !

  • Cannot recommend this place enough! It's the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, yet still an easy tricycle ride (of about $1.50usd) into town. The place was clean, well-equipped and serene. Additionally, Steve and Rhona were so welcoming and easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again.

    Lucy2019-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • If you really want a locals Puerto Princesa experience with all the comforts of home, this place is for you. So close to many attractions and great places to eat if you're a foodie all just a short trike ride away. Rhona is amazingly helpful from advice on where to eat to making some of the best garlic rice for breakfast. The house is really cozy and romantic, with so many great amenities. Wake up early and sit on the deck surrounded by coffee trees and watch beautiful birds and squirrels in the trees above.

  • Beautiful rustic cottage, the views from the hill are stunning, the breakfast delicious and the people who works there wonderful. Big thank you to Derico, Roman and Dave. The only issue are the roosters very early in the morning apart of that everything is good.

  • A small place of paradise, ideal for a couple stay. Out of the hustle and bustle of El Nido, the calm was perfect. The terrace for breakfast is magnificent. Special mention to Roman, who does not hesitate to bend over backwards to meet your requests. I recommend !!!

    Marco2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • 110% recommend staying here! Everyone was so kind and accommodating. It is a bit far from town but they offer free morning transfer (in time for all tours) and the trike ride back cost is about 250-300PHP. The accommodation looks exactly as shown in pictures with many hammocks and beautiful hilltop lookout (for watching sunset or stars). There is no cell signal or wifi except at the hilltop, but it's better to disconnect for a few days anyways. Highly recommend. Thank you so much Roman and Joy for making my trip the best!

    Van2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • A unique place to recharge and recharge batteries. No internet or TV, that you find yourself for a unique moment that is only good! Only small disagreement with the roosters in the morning who sings very early but nature wants her and it's just extra. Staff attentive and very responsive I highly recommend this place.

    Emilie2019-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place but not in the central part of El Nido, nevertheless you can rent a scooter to get around. Don't get scared by weird noises in the night, it's probably just a gecko. Nevertheless, the neigbours farm animals can get a bit noisy in the morning too. The host and staff members were all very friendly, helpful and kind.

    Anica2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place, we loved our room. They can get a bit hot as you only have a fan, beds are comfy too. The breakfast is nice, be aware there is no longer a bar but you can help yourself to water and coffee free. The location is a fair distance away from the town and even Vanilla beach but the shuttle they provide makes it easy to get around. We loved our stay and the man that hosted us was great

Thank you to Philippine Airlines for mentioning us as the Philippine Robinson Crusoe in your Philippine Airlines In-Flight Magazine :) Here on Brother Island we are most appreciated for our exclusive private island experience. No other guests during your stay, and maybe the best way to get away from the rat race. We have a huge white beach that changes shape every season. The ancestral house designed by Lolo Fermin in 1991 has 7 bedrooms, 2 shared bathrooms, 2 extra toilets and 2 extra showers. It is ideal for some quality time with your closest friends and family, but we also host honeymoons, weddings and yoga retreats on the island. Also nice to discover is our preserved jungle and bamboo forest. As well is the coral reef that surrounds the whole island. You can snorkel or kayak around the island within half an hour. Ideal for beginners and intermediate snorklers and kayakers. The 7 rooms we have are ideal for groups of up to 16 guests. We can also arrange for bigger groups (i.e. wedding parties). If you like to inquire for a bigger group, please message us before hand. If you are unsure on how big your group might become, please consider to make a booking reservation for just a few guests first. We can always change the number of guests at a later time, but you might want to secure the dates, especially during high season.
Brother Island, also known as Small Darocoton, is an island in the El Nido Province of Palawan, Philippines. It is sited roughly 400km south-west from Manila and can be reached via the El Nido Airport. El Nido, is in the province of Palawan and is handled as one of the most unspoilt areas of the Philippines. Islands, jungle and sea as you know it from movies and commercials. The province of El Nido is known as one of the last frontiers known to the seemingly unstoppable developments of commercial tourism everywhere else. On the neighboring islands, there are some small towns and villages. The nearest village is Ligad and can be reached by boat in 10 minutes. This is where the SAMA-SAMA charity pilot project started out by building the first highly sustainable watertank in the region, of which 8 more have been made in the last 2 years. Then there is Teneguiban, the next bigger village, around 25 minutes away from the island. There you can find an est 80ha Mangrove Forest which is also ideal for birdwatching. Big Daracoton Island and Cabuli Island are ideal sights for island hopping tours, both just 20 minutes away. Small Brother Island, aka Nalbot, can be seen from the spectacular view from our Hilltop Banyan House, where the largest anchor in the world is known to be sunken, merely 5-10 minutes away. Also there is a tiny 12 meter wide beach where you can go snorkeling and have a picknick during the day. If you are into hiking, there are also some interesting pathways from Ligad village to Djapila village or to Teneguiban. A hike to Djapila takes about 2-3 hours back and forth, and the hike to Teneguiban, around 4-5 hours. Vis a vis on the main island of Palawan and as well on surrounding islands we can find small villages such as Ligad, Teneguiban and San Fernando. These places can be reached within 5 to 30 minutes from the island, ideal for daytrips and picknicks. Daytrips last 6 hours and cost P700/person. Daytrips include a picknick meal.

  • The island is simply amazing. We stayed there just for the two of us. Communication was great from the beginning. Alfred picked us up in El Nido and we had a super relaxed ride. Boat trip to the island was also really cool and easy. Arriving at the island we really were overwhelmed. Beautiful beach, blue water, giant house and cozy little corners everywhere where you can relax and spend some easy time. The staff was almost invisible but when we needed them we could ask for everything. Food was great, too! 3 different things at a time and nothing we missed. And it was really tasty! (And they even bought Chardonnay for us because I mentioned it in advance.) If you think about the money - forget it. It is totally worth it. Even if you are just 2 persons. Go there and enjoy!

  • Staying at Brother's Island is an experience of a lifetime. Thank you Alfred and Allie for allowing us to visit your amazing paradise. It's a privilege ;)

  • Most of all, it was heart-warming and relaxing time for my family in Brother island. The host (Mr. and Mrs. Hofer) and all the staffs welcomed and treated us like a family so that we spent wonderful new years holiday for three nights. The beauty of island itself cannot be described. The picture cannot explain the beautiful scenery. Also, Mrs.Hofer arranged a van for us back to Puerto Princesa and its condition was impeccable. We will never forget the time we spent there and we are already missing meal time with dogs. :) Thank you, Brother Island!!

  • The location is absolutely incredible. The island is a lost paradise that we shared with Alfred, his family and a group of very kind waiters. The villa is not a posh Miami-style place, but a rustic house. Alfred helped us with many tips around the rest of our trip to the Philippines. It was very helpful!

Visit our other house : https://www.airbnb.fr/rooms/5226181
The Habagat house has three bedrooms with double bed. One bedroom has a very large bed (2,50 m wide) made for jetlagged babies who wants to sleep with their parents. Visit Amihan house with other pictures of our surroudings here : https://www.airbnb.fr/rooms/5226181 All inclusive means three meals.
We can help you with authorizations and fees asked for those sites : Mt Mantalingahan, Tao't bato tribe, Mantayob falls which range from few hours to several days expeditions. From tabo you can hire guides (500 pesos in total) to walk to the Turbong falls.
  • If you want silence, peace. A clean beach with nobody but you. Sleep to the sound of the sea, wake up to the cries of a rooster. This is exactly the place you were looking for. Very hospitable hosts, delicious food. I recommend

    Evgeniy2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great remote spot for relaxing on the beach. As long as you know what you are getting into with the "ecolodge" style (no hot water, no A/C, open house style living) this is a really special spot. Felt like we had the entire beach to ourselves for the most part (expect for doggie friends :) ). Honestly didn't really need Air Con; the breeze was so strong it was somewhat cold even. Mosquito and other bugs were not bad at all. Staff was accommodating to meal requests (we are vegetarian). The ride over was rough with the first driver we had, but much better on the way back with a more cautious driver and properly functioning air conditioning in the van. Highly recommend for a unique experience.

    Jesse2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Came back after 2 weeks rested, tanned, and restored. this is a laid back experience not for those seeking resort amenities; its a place where many only speak the native dialect but all smile and pose for a photo, where the joy of a bucket shower must be experienced, a beach that sees entire families pulling on a 1/4 mile long net, taking an outrigger boat into the hushness of a mangrove preserve, where a morning walk captures fishermen returning with yards of netting entangled with fish and other critters. Oh, and then there is the 4-5 hour journey to/from airport where one see the simple life captured in flashes: skids pulled by water buffalo, roadside corn sellers, kids, some so young, walking miles to/from school, and on and on and on. Bugs, yes. but repellent works. Internet-via a local phone SIM card although my Sprint allowed calls and texts to be received and sent. have an open mind. cheers, Phil

  • Staying at the ecolodge is an incredible experience to say the least. Amenities include lodging right on a beautiful nearly private beach, enjoying delicious homemade Filipino food, and swimming/snorkeling/kayaking/adventuring all very close-by! Mommy Sally and her staff are so helpful leading up to the trip by being responsive to messages, helping to coordinate transportation, and ensuring you pack all necessary items. They truly think of everything! They also will help you organize tours / day trips with local neighbors, but you can also do many of these tours self-guided and freely. One such thing is kayaking and snorkeling the reef (especially on the right side of the beach) offshore from the mangrove river. Overall, the week we spent here was very relaxing and was exactly what we were looking for for our honeymoon. If you’re looking for a true Filipino experience, you’ve found a great place!

  • Mommy sally and her family are wonderful hosts. Marvin regularly made us delicious, well balanced, healthy Filipino meals during our week long stay. Cannot wait to return!

  • Paradise off the beaten track. If you can spare the 5 hour-long bumpy ride from Puerto Princesa to Mommy Sally’s, I can absolutely recommend this place. We rented one of the two available cabins that can sleep up to 6 people (in three rooms separated by thin bamboo walls). The cabins are not too close to each other so there is sufficient privacy, and they are both under the lush trees right in front of a poster-card worthy beach that we had nearly all to ourselves! Extra points for all the equipment freely available for use (surfs, paddle boards, cayaks etc) The general feel was almost like glamping as you can hear the waves and feel the breeze at night even though you are in a bed :) Mommy Sally would cook for us breakfast, lunch, and dinner that was served at our cabin’s porch. The food was made with local ingredients and often the day’s fish/crab catch, which was amazing! The rooms themselves were simple and comfortable, besides there is no reason to stay inside with that view. Overall we felt very well taken care of and had an amazing time staying there.

  • I have just had one of the best weeks of my life staying at the Ecolodge. In the most beautiful setting, 10 seconds from the front door to the rippling waves. We woke up every morning to the sound of chickens on the garden, or horses running by the window and along the beach, or to the smell of a log fire burning down the beach by one of the friendly locals. We had Mario as our house helper. He was fantastic, bringing freshly cooked food to us, 3 times a day. The food was delicious and each meal was something different. We rented two motorbikes so that we could experience going down to the Rizal market which was super fun, although it’s easy enough to either walk or hop on the van with Mario on his daily market trip. At the time of year we went the sea was wavy which was perfect for body boarding but we didn’t manage to snorkel or fish as the sand made the water less clear. It’s a long way from London but I will he making every effort to return to this extraordinary property in the future. Worth every single penny. Perfection.

  • We were able to enjoy the hospitality, the peace and space at Mommy Sally and her team for 10 days. What a beautiful "paradise". And dear people, who have given us an unforgettable holiday. You have to do something to go there because the majority of the way there is very bad. You will be mixed up considerably. We had chosen a private driver who picked us up from the airport. The drive to it takes a very long time (5 hours) and there is a stopover halfway at a "local" restaurant. The toilets at the restaurant are "local style", very small / low and no toilet paper, half a door to close and outside a barrel to scoop out water to flush. There is a lot to see along the way, rice fields, fully loaded Jeepney's, buffalo at work on land. Work is also underway on the road. You must realize that you are far from the "inhabited" world. Habigat is a basic house, without air conditioning or fan, without hot water. We slept with doors and windows open. Lovely, an occasional breeze from the sea. If you can't live without social media you should definitely not go here. Despite a "Smart" sim card (purchased at Manila airport), there was almost no reach. That was no problem at all for us. We have consciously opted for this. Nature, the beach, the mangrove, kayaking, swimming in the sea, in a word amazing. Do not really want to say much about it because it is such a unique place. Totally no tourism. For us it was really relaxing and enjoying the view, reading and sleeping in the hammock on the beach. Occasionally some locals walk on the beach. But most of the time you are alone there. The other house "Amihan" is indeed more than 90 meters away. And you have enough privacy. Are you afraid of spiders, geckos, bats, small green snakes on the clothesline, big beetles, then you should definitely not go here. Perhaps handy to take a good flashlight for when you want to go to the toilet at night. Because it is very dark.

  • It was one uf the nicest places we have ever been! It looks like in the pictures! Perfect place to relax and calm down! The stuff is very friendly and cares about you! The rooms are clean and you have very nice aroundings. When we woke up in the morning, we could see the sea and in the evening we had an fantastic sunset! There are also activities (kitesurfing, snorkling etc.) you can do. It‘s a little paradise!

  • Beautiful place!!! Wow, the island is just perfect. Tranquil but great atmosphere. Amazing reef to do snorkelling. Small cottages but you have anything you need. Very much recommended

    Nele2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Very satisfied stay, my favorite trip in Cologne. Although the food is not cheap, it tastes good. Without any mosquito bites, it felt great to wake up to see the sea. The price of the island on your own charter is more cost-effective.

    Lu2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • I loved the location, the barrier reef intact, the water sports easy to access and free, the rest areas on the ground, the amount of people on the island perfect, the friendly and accessible staff, Hadrien un non snob Parisian, super generous with an experience of life in the field ... Thank you also for the attention to the holiday cake to my friends. Heavenly place !!!

    Steven2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful island with top quality food and perfect location as it only takes about two hours from Coron by boat, highly recommend to couples.

    Niclas2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Small Bamboo island is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed in. Real Robinson Crusoe experience. The cottages and amenities are beautifully blended into the local surrounds. The concept has minimal impact on the island life which is fantastic. And keeping the place running the way they do is an excellent achievement. Wonderful snorkeling and couches and hammocks for lazy days! Delightful.

    Linda2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn't sleep 😉 There where newborn turtle babies everywhere outside our cabin going in wrong direction. Had to save them from crabs, ants and carry them to the sea. Best place, and night ever ❤👍

    Peter2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for 3 days at Bamboo Island. The island is like the definition of paradise, cristal waters white sand and one of the most outstanding reefs we’ve ever seen. Service was great people were friendly and helpful. *Be aware of the transportation cost: $190 each way if you can’t share it with more people - this adds up a lot to the final bill. *Apparently they have changed the chef recently and previous reviews talking about the great food don’t match current reality. We were pretty disappointed with the food experience and there’s no more options rather than eating what’s offered. Better to come with the right expectations in terms of food otherwise you’ll be disappointed.. there’s a lot of room for improvement but it seems that they’re already working on that.

I got sick one day and the chef made me a special soup and the staff gave me medication. They went above and beyond to make sure you were enjoying your time. Everyone was so happy and helpful. • Nacpan Glamping is a great experience that one should not miss when in El Nido. It is worth the trip to El Nido just to experience a few nights at Nacpan Beach. This is an eco friendly experience and we enjoyed releasing hatchling turtles into the ocean. We will definitely return

  • This place was magical. The architecture and layout of this place is fascinating. They have a great restaurant next door where you can even get a private dinner on the beach with your loved one. The bathrooms were always super clean and the beds in the tents were comfy. Glamping guests get to use beach chairs in the designated spot. They have fun activities at night like campfires with roasting marshmallows, fun games and activities during the day and more. I’d recommend staying here just to experience it, even if it’s only a couple days!

  • The Floral Island Resort was incredible! My family/friends stayed there last week and had the most amazing time! We took advantage of the kayaks, dinner on the beach, and karaoke in the dining hall. The dogs (Oreo and Koi) were super cute and loved being around us the whole time. Irish and the staff were extremely friendly and very hospitable! The next time we visit the Philippines, we will definitely be coming back to stay!

  • We had a great time in this resort. Staffs are all very kind. The food is wonderful, as well as the spa! And the two little dogs, they were great companions. We enjoy snorkeling very much, it was like little walking in the private backyard. I will highly recommend this resort to friends.

  • What a magical place this is. The resort was the perfect place for my family to enjoy time together and appreciate the awe and beauty of nature around us. Our host Philippe was very helpful as we planned our stay and the wonderful staff was so attentive and the sweetest bunch. Our kids loved spending time with the island pups, Oreo & Koi; they were so lovable and friendly! The food was delicious and the variety and portions were just right. Our stay there almost didn’t seem real, but the pictures remind us that yes, the magic was real. Thank you and we do hope to return one day.

Duli Beach Resort is the first and only establishment that offers bungalows on Duli beach. The bungalows are spacious and surrounded by nature. They all have a 12m2 balcony with sea view, big bathroom and big room with a comfortable king-size bed.
  • The road there is a bit difficult but it is so worth it! It is paradise, just a few bungalows, some surf shops and some friendly dogs. If you are looking to relax and disconnect, this is the place for you. The bungalows are comfortable and the hosts Max and Elma are very friendly. The food was very good. What we liked the most was the fact that there were not so many people and it just felt like you have the place to yourself. The beach is wide and very long, you can just take a walk to the end of the beach where there's noting, just palm trees, it is amazing! We woke up every morning with an amazing view and the sound of the waves crushing, it was perfect. We absolutely love this place because it was all we were looking for: relaxing atmosphere, pristine beach, doing absolutely nothing for 2 days, walking around barefoot. We traveled around Philippines for 3 weeks and stayed in many locations, but this place is our favorite! So, Max and Elma, thank you for creating this place and hope to see you again soon :)

    Cristina2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Duli is a remote of thegrid beach where u put your head to rest, mind to recharge and body to relax. All thou Duli is not conected to electricity resort have all the power u need (lights, charging you electronics in reception 2x a day when generator is running-enough time just have to have it in mind) Food that they make is really good - of course without electricity there are some limitations in preparation so don’t expect 2page menu. They still offer you difrent lunch/dinner every day -you are choosing between 3-5 diferent plates. The beer is always cold and the stuff extremly friendly. There’s never really crowdet hours on duli. Even when the weather serves a great surfing waves and many surfer dudes come to the resort theres really nice surfing spot vibe going on:) The plankton that we saw here in the night was like nowere better and in the night star view is awesom. Will come back for shore!

    Žiga2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Duli Beach Resort is a magical place. This is the perfect spot if you want to escape the busy streets and beaches of El Nido. During your stay, be sure to book a masage, go surfing or just chill on the beach. And if you're lucky, you'll get to witness baby sea turtles hatch and make their way to the sea! The staff were all friendly, helpful and kind.

    Charl2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation has one of the best locations in Palawan!!! Right on the beach next to a good surf spot. It was super clean and was even serviced everyday. The view from the rooms was outstanding and waking up to the sound of the ocean and the view of the waves made it a stay that we will never forget. Max and Elma were extremely accommodating, and made us feel completely at home in El Nido, no question was too much for them to answer. We cannot wait to return to the Philipines so we can come and stay at Duli Beach Resort again!!!

    Joe2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • It‘s a wonderful place! Thanks for having us :)

    Helen2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Duli Beach Resort is truly a hidden gem. Close to El Nido but away from the chaos in El Nido and super quiet and relaxed. The bungalows are very comfy and the beach is the very nice (and not touristy at all!) too. We loved all the games and fun equipment they provide. We were super lucky too, the turtles came out of their eggs in the period we stayed at the resort! We can definitely recommend staying here.

    Frida2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing!! Out of everything we saw in El Nido this resort was by far the nicest and Max and Elma are incredible hosts - they make the resort so welcoming and they're kids are adorable!! The road from town is a bit rough but not too bad, once you’re at duli there’s no real reason to leave because it’s so beautiful and relaxing and everything you need is there. Hope to be back soon <3

Modern amenities include a water heater, air conditioning, fridge, safe, and a quiet generator. - Drinking water and coffee will be supplied in the rooms. - Cleaning services of room daily. - Night guard - Kids bed available upon request.
  • Pauline’s place was nothing, but amazing! It’s located in a super convenient area so getting around isn’t an issue. We basically walked everywhere in the town. The place is sparkling clean and the room was just as pictured. The only issue we had was a couple days of blackouts which happened in the morning, and they were having generator issues, but it wasn’t much of a big deal since we left to do the tours and by the time we got power back. Other than that I would rebook this place. It’s also 45 mins from Nacpan beach and 20 mins to vanilla beach via tricycle or you can rent a motorbike.

Room is fairly large, with a large bathroom and nice verandah outside. However, if you prefer a quiet getaway by a nicer beach, you would be advised to stay at Corong Corong.

  • Amazing little place to stay in the heart of el nido. Loved this place and the staff was amazing. The best hospitality we’ve ever received on AIRBNB. • This Air BnB was spectacular. Everything was accurate and as described in the description. Isabelle had plenty of information for new visitors to El Nido. The beach is literally a few steps away. The home was clean, quiet, and perfect for relaxing. Isabelle is fantastic at getting back to you quickly which is always appreciated. Thank you for everything!

    Frederick2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • If this villa is available, BOOK IT IMMEDIATELY! We had such an amazing and relaxing time at Isabelle's place. Kevin took care of us for check in, was very helpful with recommendation in the area and was always quick to communicate. The location is 5 stars plus another 5 stars. Steps from the beach, restaurants, tours, motorbike rentals and anything you need is within walking distance. We plan on returning for sure. The hype is real; book now!

    Wes2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay in this gorgeous little villa...It was the most perfect start to our honeymoon. The place is so beautifully decorated, and it was just perfect to have a private space so close to the beach to chill out at. We loved the quiet feel of Corong Corong, and really enjoyed walking along the beach to find breakfast each morning. The flamingo is a brilliant touch too - I spent hours bobbing about on it! Kevin was so helpful, and got back to us really quickly with answers to our questions. I will be recommending this place to anyone who will listen! Thank you Kevin!

    Jen2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Isabelle and Kevin are a delight to work with. They are fast to respond and offer up many suggestions for things to do if you are looking for some information. The space is amazing - the garden is absolutely fantastic to wake up to and just look out, easy enough to walk a few steps to resorts and the beach, fun pool to cool off in when you're done island hopping and running around town. Would 100% recommend staying here and would love to stay with them again!

    Samantha2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was the best stay we could have in El Nido! Isabelle and Kevin are so helpful and nice, the villa is absolutely amazing and the appartment has the best location, away from the crowd, near to some nice restaurants. But still you are with trycicle/motorcycle in 5-10minutes in the center of el nido, if you need anything. The villa is right at the beach where you can have good breakfast in some restaurants

    Patrizia2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely THE place you want to stay in. First, this home is lovely and spacious. Much more spacious than any hotel room in the area. Second, you and in between the three hotels you want to be close to: Coco for the spa, Last Frontier for the breakfast and sunset drink, Mahogany for lunch. Third, you are steps from the beach. Fourth, great hosts and a dipping pool!

    Adriana2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Isabelle’s place was in a great location and a nice break from the hotels we had stayed in prior to staying at her villa. We will likely stay there again on our future trips to El Nido

  • This home greatly exceeded our expectations and the hosts were wonderful assets to our stay. They had excellent recommendations for activities / restaurants and also were very helpful throughout our check in and departure. The villa is perfectly located on Corong Corong beach. I would recommend staying here to anyone.

  • From the moment we booked the host was amazing she right away asked for my flight info and picked us up from the airport. The room was everything we needed with an adorable terrace !! Marife was nothing but helpful when it came to booking tours rides and providing info on cool spots to check out. Her place is less than 10 minute tricycle from airport and 5 minute walk from the bay and shops , even a craft brewery next door. Her gardens are beautiful and she makes great breakfast. Room is clean and bathroom is great, see stayed for 2 nights and they tideyed everything in between. Everything was 10/10. Highly recommend

  • The air conditioner sounds a bit loud, it's the old-style air conditioner, but this is the same as the homestay, and the water heater is cold, the other is nothing, the host is very enthusiastic.

  • Stayed in a clean and spacious room in a lovely home. Location was good, there are shops and good places to eat nearby. Great amenities, wifi was fast and reliable, aircon was cool, room has TV and a small fridge. There’s a cozy balcony where they served yummy breakfast. Free Airport transfer was a big plus. The host Marifi was the kindest and friendliest, she also gave a lot of useful travel tips. Would definitely come back! Thanks Marifi for hosting us!:)

She welcomed us like we were family and Allan was so amazing to accommodate us on our vegan diet even though it was not necessary and even invited us for dinner the next day after our check out. Both of them went above and beyond expectation to make our stay unbelievable. That's definitely the best hospitality that we have ever received in any country that we have visited. Just book. You won't be disappointed!

  • Excellent Airbnb in Puerto Princesa, not far from the airport! Marifi Christine is adorable, smiling and warmly welcomed us with a fresh juice, the room is very comfortable (best bed of our stay in the Philippines), clean, very well equipped (wifi, air conditioning, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner , hair dryer). She lived 30 years in Japan and it shows in the quality of the room she offers. Homemade breakfast is included in the price of the night. Marifi herself took us by car to the airport in the morning (also included in the price) I recommend this Airbnb 100%!

Located in Corong-Corong beach, facing the spectacular Bacuit Bay, our villa offers all the necessary comfort (aircon, hot water,...) in a stylish decoration. Its nice garden is right in front of the sea. We are at walking distance from nice restaurants, tourist attractions, booking office, high-end hotels, and at 10 minute-ride to El Nido town. We can accommodate 4 persons max. If you are more than, we suggest you to check if El Nido Garden Villa is available, it is behind this villa.
Our house is just on the beach, it's around 90sqm, with 2 very comfortables bedrooms : aircon, queen size beds and high quality bedding, 1 bathroom, 2 toilets (1 in the bathroom and 1 separate), an outside living area with a fully furnished kitchen. The tropical garden is around 200 sqm. All equipments are provided such as beach racket, ping-pong table, games,... The house is totally safe, we have a night guard and a security safe is at your disposal in the house. Next door, you have Last Frontier Resort Restaurant, witch offers good cuisine and good breakfast. It can sometimes be a little bit noisy, but not after 10pm. We can also arrange some services, such as Island Hopping tours, pick up from airport,....
Our Villa is located in the one of the nicest neighborhoods of El Nido: Corong-Corong beach. It is well developed, lively and not as busy/noisy, or dirty as the town center. At a walking distance you will find different types of restaurants : Filipino cuisine, French at La Plage Restaurant, Spanish at Last Frontier Resort or Italian at Bella Vita. The Italian place offers a pizza delivery service. A booking office offers Island hopping departures from the house and kayaks rental. You can also take some sailing lessons and/or participate in regattas that usually are on Sundays. All of this, is in front of the spectacular Bacuit Bay.
  • - very nice sunsets - Villa furnished with attention to detail with a direct view of the sea - Kevin the co-host provided us with advice and action and even arranged our island hopping tour - Housekeeping always cleaned everything every day - Welcome drinks included

  • Great hosts. Great place. Great location. My friends and I had a great time. Isabelle and Kevin were very helpful and accommodating to our requests. They were very prompt with their replies while taking into account the time difference between the Philippines and Boston. They helped us arranged for our boat trips and also our transportation. Very nice water front location. Very highly recommended. The villa is also adjacent to other villas in case you are more than a party of 4.

    Adrian2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Isabelle has a beautiful beach cottage with amazing views. The location is perfect with nearby restaurants, cute boutiques, stunning sunsets and easy access to boat tours. The cottage is comfortable and beautifully decorated. There are 2 spacious bedrooms, a small kitchen and the main bathroom features wonderful hot showers. The covered seating areas has a gorgeous view directly in front of the beach and the sunsets are breathtaking. Both Isabelle and Kevin were super helpful with their quick responses, advice and arranging anything we needed. It's a convenient spot for taking boat tours as the pickups/drop offs are directly front of their white picket fence. It's a lovely place to spend a few days and we really hope we have a chance to stay here again. We highly recommend staying with her you will be so happy if you choose this Airbnb.

  • Isabelle and Kevin were great hosts. Before are arrival and throughout our stay they made sure to communicate with us all details and offer us help for tour booking. They kindly anticipated our check-in time which we really appreciated. The villa is lovely, located right on the beach, perfect if you seek some time to chill and relax. Complimentary beverages in the fridge are always a nice touch that make you feel welcome. We just stayed one night because quite expensive compared to the average accomodation in El Nido but as nice as it turned out to be we would've stayed a week! Location in Corong Corong is ideal, near to restaurants/cafes/shops, far from the chaos of El Nido but just a short tricycle ride away. And what a sunset view!

    Francesca2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place! Kevin and Isabelle were wonderful hosts as they helped us book the island tour and arranged transportation to the airport upon check-out. Perfect location surrounded by great restaurants and just steps away to the beach. Magical place that we hope to return to someday. I highly recommend staying here!

  • From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, everything is spotless. Kevin happily met us at the resto nearby because our flight arrived early, and he gratefully allowed us to rest at the home already. You wake up to the sight of the beach and sleep to the sounds of the ocean. Isabelle and Kevin are so easy to communicate with, happily arranging our transportat and tours. The house is even decked with beautiful touches of El Nido, and they even had information ready on booklets for us to read through about services around the area and general info about travelling in El Nido. Housekeepers keep the house in check everyday. Dinner is just next door and city is easily walking distance if you make the effort. Thank you Kevin and Isabelle! Wonderful experience. Definitely recommend.

  • You prob cant find a better location than this if you wanna do island hopping tours. You can walk straight back home after getting off the boat.

The Amazing Villa is a beautiful summer house, set in spectacular natural surroundings. It's a place to chill out, to recharge and to get inspired, far away from mainstream tourism. A place you can call home. The Amazing Villa sits on a large private property with 2 km of private coastline (of which 600 meters are white sandy beaches). The mountains in the background - covered with virgin rain forest - form a spectacular backdrop. We like to eat fresh and healthy foods, so we have a large organic garden with vegetables, herbs and spices. We also keep chickens (free range) for eggs and meat. Freshly caught fish can be had daily from a nearby fisherman's village. We hope our 2 Labradors and 4 cats will make you feel at home the moment you arrive. During the daytime you will most likely be enjoying the surroundings and the beach. At night you will fall asleep, soothed by the sounds of the waves and the rain forest. The house comes with two gardeners, a maintenance man and a beach janitor (for daily cleaning of the beach and its surroundings). You are welcome to do your own cooking, using our facilities (we cook on wood fire), but you may have to bring most of your ingredients from Puerto. The small shops near the Villa offer only basic things. If you wish, the hosts can also cook for you. My wife Theresa is very talented and highly passionate about cooking. She does wonders with all our garden fresh ingredients. Her cooking has been featured in two national newspapers as well as on local TV. She offers an amazing meal plan (advance reservation required) which is usually the highlight of a stay at the Villa. Her unique flavors continue to impress the most discerning palates from around the globe. We have built several private hideaways around the house, where you can enjoy the view and the sea breeze with a book, a cocktail or a cup of tea. Or just have a lazy afternoon nap in a hammock. Other amenities of the house include a gym, a petanque court, a cocktail bar, a yoga platform/view deck and an outdoor kitchen. Planned amenities for the near future are a Zen Garden, a wood fired brick oven and a zip line that will take you from your balcony straight to the beach. We are leading a comfortable yet low impact life style. We produce our own veggies and meat, make our own virgin coconut oil, natural bug repellents, yogurt and chocolate. We cook using only the freshest ingredients straight from our garden. We avoid chemical additives and processed foods. If you wish to learn or participate in our organic farming, you are very much welcome. We have some live stock to tend to as well (cows, goats, water buffaloes, chickens). To help keep our carbon footprint low, we invite all our visitors to plant one tree each. Either a long living fruit tree or a tropical hardwood tree. We provide the seedlings and make sure the tree will prosper. Our place is ideal for: * Families with children * Couples looking to spend quality time together in paradise (hidden away from the rest of the world) * Nature lovers * Adventure lovers * People who favor a healthy life style Possible activities: * Beach & Ocean (swimming, snorkeling, fishing, paddle boating, bonfire / BBQ, star gazing) * Mountain River (swimming, fish spa, BBQ) * Jungle (hiking on old mountain trails, native hunting trails, bird watching, trip to waterfalls and relaxing in hidden lagoons)
We live in a part of Palawan that is exceptionally beautiful and as of yet totally untouched by mass tourism. Many of our neighbors are indigenous people (of the Tagbanua tribe). The Tagbanua still live very close to nature and possess a wealth of knowledge about plants from the forest, natural and spiritual healing and nature in general. Knowledge that has largely been lost in modern "civilized" society today.
  • If you are looking for something way off the beaten track, solitude, quiet, incredible views and private beautiful beach, if you are OK to go without phone service than this is the place for you. If you are looking for a resort, air conditioning, or don't like experiencing the rain forest and all of it's wondrous creatures (ie. bugs), this place is not for you. We had a mixed group, but even those who were missing air conditioning and cell reception openly admitted it is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places we've ever been to. Herwig is a wonderful host and was very generous with his time. Thank you!

    Yonah2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely few days staying with Herwig and Theresa. Their hospitality was exceptional and Theresa’s cooking was delicious. The rooms were incredibly spacious and clean. Having come from busy El Nido it was a treat having a private beach and such personal treatment. It’s out of the way but worth the trip especially if you want to escape the more touristy places. We all said it felt more like we were staying at a friends house than in an air bnb.

    Lucy2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • The amazing villa really outshines it’s name. It’s more than amazing it’s like a second home, so welcoming and so lovely! I will miss this place so dearly and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a relaxing vacation away from the hustle and bustle of the world. This cute little villa tucked into the gorgeous jungle of Palawan is just the perfect getaway for anyone who wants a private beach, amazing sunsets and sunrises and DELICIOUS FOOD!! This is a once and a lifetime trip! (plus they have the cutest dogs!!!)

  • Amazing place,Wonderful beach, and the host is very very nice. And the food is so great!

    Pan2019-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • Can I say enough good things about this place? The Amazing Villa is the jewel of the Philippines for us. Our busy tour of the islands included three wonderful, spectacular restful days in the easy company of Herwig and Theresa; the views are world class - literally amazing - the private beach is clean and well maintained with not a soul in sight, the food is easily five star quality, the accommodation is amazing. It is so quiet and restful, the nights so dark and beautiful; Amazing Villa is off-grid so don’t come for hustle and bustle. Come for high quality conversation, quiet relaxation and a lovely swim in the warm ocean. Time to unwind in absolute style.

    Martin2019-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Herwig and Theresa both are super hosts. The place is very nice if you are in love with nature, nice and not crowded beaches giving you an unique experience. We had a wonderful time at the vila and surroundings also in the excursions that our hosts managed for us! It was very helpful for us having Theresa for cooking delicious meals during our stay! She is a great cook!! All the staff at the vila was extremely nice and this made our stay an unforgettable one! Definitely I recommend!

    Jurcut2019-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing! We had such a great time at Herwig & Theresa's villa. We were really able to totally cut off from the rest of the world and relax and enjoy every moment. Was amazing having our own private beach - it is so rare to be able to experience that these days. We had the whole beach to ourselves for our entire stay and that was just priceless. They also went out of their way to let us experience so much - a day by the river where they cooked our lunch on open fire. Theresa is the best cook ever and everything she cooked was just amazing. Her cooking was so good that I begged her to teach me some cooking and baking which she did at her house, and now I will be able to recreate (or at least try!) these amazing dishes at home! It was an unforgettable stay and by far our best Airbnb experience ever. Thank you Herwig and Theresa!

  • We LOVED Cynthias place. She picked us up and dropped us off at the airport, showed us around, and offered suggestions of where to go. She had a welcoming bunch of bananas and mangos and then later brought us fresh pineapple and papaya. We went to Honda bay, and didn’t have enough cash on us and she was so generous to let us borrow money until we could get to the ATM. Her place is so cute with lots of nature and different flowers to look at. It felt like we were in a little jungle. I would highly recommend her place to any future travellers!! The best air bnb we have ever stayed at!

  • Cynthia is a wonderful host! Met us at the airport and drove back, the house is stylish and comfortable, a quiet place, but as always in the Philippines with roosters :)))))) Located far from the city center, you must use either a tricycle or rent a motorbike. Motobike solves all problems with movement and access to interesting places on the island. Nearby there is a market where you can buy fresh seafood and vegetables and fruits with quality mash. The house has everything you need for cooking and a lot of dishes.

    Alexey2019-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • The landlord Cynthia is very nice and very enthusiastic. Although she has encountered some minor situations in the middle, Cynthia is very active in helping us. The house is especially beautiful! The local people are also very enthusiastic!

  • Ma’am Cynthia is actually the best guest house that I’ve never had Her villa in Puerto princesa was wonderful and perfectly clean but the best thing about Villa San Manuel is to meet Cynthia She’s kind, gentil, respectful and she’s always replying to any question or doubt, she even proposes you activity’s. For me that was perfect because for someone like me who travels alone it’s always beautiful to know people that take care of you like Ma’am Cynthia toked care of me. She communicates a lot and she even speaks French ! Lol Ma’am Cynthia, thanks again for what you did for me, it was a wonderful experience The house is perfectly equipped, perfectly clean and accesible to comercial center, to the wonderful beach and to the center of Palawan, it’s really a good place to be if you flight to Puerto princesa before traveling a El Nido Sara

A two-storey modern house with pristine swimming pool , BBQ area and a spacious garden. Minimalist interior with fully equipped appliances, generator in place in case of power outage It is also near tourist spots like Baker’s Hills, Mitra Ranch, Crocodile Farm and butterfly garden. A wet market is only 10 minutes away Airport and Robinson’s mall are easily reached as well.
A very convenient location with great neighbourhood
  • The place is very nice and clean. My family had a great time!

  • We really enjoyed our vacation in Palawan, we had three weeks in Casa de Alberto and it was the perfect place to drop our bags and explore Palawan to our liking! We are lovers of good food and Puerto Princesa really has everything to offer on this side! Several exceptional restaurants can be found less than 10 minutes from the villa! The most paradisiacal and least crowded beach is definitely Nagtabon Beach, we went there more than once! The villa is a reasonable distance from the most beautiful attractions of Palawan especially if you rent a car. In my opinion, El Nido is not very good in one day but rather two! Port Barton is doing very well round trip. The villa itself is magnificent! The very well maintained pool! The very well equipped kitchen for a villa in Asia !! All bedrooms are comfortable and there are 4 bathrooms and 3 showers! The boys who take care of the house are very friendly and are always there to help no matter what you need! Nidas is very easy to communicate to coordinate your transport to massages at home if you need ... We had some problems following our accommodation due to a canceled flight and Nidas quickly found us a plan B, c was more than appreciated! Thanks again for everything!!

Soak up the awesome atmosphere of Gilligans Port Barton, our tropical paradise home where you'll find the air sweet and the breeze warm. The water shimmers sky blue and the nights are filled with fun, food, stars and romance. Gilligans is in Paradise.
There are very few properties in the world such as Gilligans that are available for such a reasonable price. Gilligans is a simple 3 bedroom beach house set on 2 acres with 180 metres of beautiful sandy beach with magic views, and is ideal for couples or family groups. Guests have exclusive access to the whole property including the house, our well-equipped kitchen, paddle boats and kayaks, sun loungers, 2 cabanas and our 2 new Stand Up Paddle Boards. We can accept up to 8 guests comfortably in 4 queen sized beds, as we have placed a privacy divider in the middle of the very large 3rd. bedroom. You can see photos of the bedrooms in the photo gallery. We can even place extra beds or mattresses on the floors for larger Filipino family groups who may not be fussy about sleeping 'parang sardinas'. Gilligans is located centre beach in Nao Nao, pronounced Now Now, which is around a 20-minute boat trip from Port Barton. Our closest neighbours are 20 people living in the small fishing village around 300 metres away from the house at Gilligans, except for our caretakers who live in their cottages 70 metres from the main house. Our caretakers at Gilligans are available to assist you with meals, housekeeping, babysitting, and the use of our amenities. Our staff are available on call or they will leave you to do your own thing. You will see them rake the beach daily and sweep the leaves away. They'll keep the grounds spic and span and attend to your needs. Whilst you are not required to tip our staff, if they provide additional services such as laundry, you should pay for their hard work. As a guide, the daily rate for a worker is around P300, or $6.00. If you are happy with their services and you are inclined to tip our staff, they would really appreciate your generosity. Port Barton is a seaside village on the west coast of Palawan and is situated between the Underground River and El Nido. It is a 2 and a half to 3 hour van trip from Puerto Princesa airport, going past the Underground River turnoff on the way. Consider taking the side trip to visit this famous attraction on the way to or from our home. Both public and private transport is available to Port Barton. Some of our guests have rented cars and motor bikes for the trip. 4x4 vehicles are sometimes required. Whilst most of the way from Puerto is on a concreted highway, the last few kilometres of the Port Barton road can be muddy and difficult to traverse at times, particularly in the rainy season which is from July to November. We recommend that our guests use the services of a regular driver who will meet you at the airport, take you shopping if required, provide some cold drinks for the trip, and he'll also give you the option of taking the Underground River trip, if time permits. If your private van is unable to pass on the new road to Gilligans when you arrive or leave, your boat trips from Port Barton and return are included in the rental fee, as is the case with guests using public transport. For those that want to make additional trips back and forward to spend time in Port Barton, there's a small fee to cover fuel and staff costs.
Our boatmen are available to take guests on fishing trips and Island Hopping. Prices are available by application, but as a guideline, expect to pay $15usd per person for an Island-Hopping day trip with a beach barbecue lunch provided. A minimum price of P2500 applies for small groups. You won't need a car at Gilligans as there is only one road, which is newly graded and should not be relied on in times of heavy rain. Most people take a boat anywhere they want to go. You’ll probably see the caretaker’s children being picked up for school in a little boat. The parents share the duty of taking their children to the nearby school.
  • We had a wonderful stay at Gilligans! Everything was as described and more. There were a few minor hiccups due to us booking the last minute, but the hosts have been kind enough to accommodate us and our experience have been amazing nonetheless. We’d like to stay longer next time!

  • Great location, right on the beach. Very caring hosts. We were a group of 2 adults and 4 younger adults, and enjoyed the stay very much!

  • This place was amazing. The beach was so calm and inviting, it made swimming at an hour enjoyable. Erika was very accommodating and prepared delicious food. If you have the chance to stay here, do it. This place will exceed your expectations.

  • Gilligans was the absolute best! This place is paradise found! Secluded, beautiful and great staff onsite. Erica, Reggie and their boys were great caretakers Mal met us upon arrival by boat to welcome us. Everything was amazing. We were not wanting to leave! Highly recommend this place!!!

    Kim2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Gilligans Port Barton is the place to be for relaxing in a marvelous beach with white sand and great people. It's the paradise place for "farniente", comments are not sufficient to describe it, you have to live it!!

    Bryan2019-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • The private beach is better than you can imagine. Warm/calm water, no people, and lots of toys for us to enjoy. We highly suggest you let Erika prepare your meals (and clean up), it is worth having great/convenient food without the hassle. Plus, getting groceries there is logistically difficult, let the locals take care of you! Our summary of Gilligans/Palawan...It’s like Hawaii but much better...minus all of the people and a fraction of the cost. This has been our best family beach vacation.

    Rob2019-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Gilligans is a beautiful spot on a quiet beach! A perfect place to relax, unwind and detach from the hustle and bustle. We loved sitting on the front porch, having our meals prepared by Erika and Family, walking to the waterfalls and kayaking/ paddle boarding around the bay. The house is cozy with all that you need! We have nothing but good to say! :) Thanks again, Kevina, Sean, Sarah & Corey Newfoundland, Canada

  • After a stressful time at work we wanted to relax an calm down in our holidays. At Gilligans we found exactly what we needed and so much more :). We enjoyed the beautiful and lonely beach. Kayaking to the waterfall and the nearby small island was a great pleasure. We loved the island hopping tour with great snorkeling sports where we saw some seaturtles and beautiful reefs. A big thank you goes to Erika, Reggie and their boys Eri and Eric. These warm hearted and friendly people made our stay extra special. Erikas and Reggies cooking is superb, always tasty and delicious. You have to try all the meals and ask for a coconut (they are really big :)). Last but not least, thank you to Mal for sharing this beautiful and lovely place.

  • Isabelle and Kevin were excellent hosts. They quickly responded to all our messages and went out of their way to help with arrangements for airport transfers and island hopping tours. The villa itself has a beautiful beach-style decor with everything you could need (I’ll miss that hammock). It’s right on Corong Corong beach, which has great bars and restaurants and is one of the best places to catch sunsets, and around 10 minutes by tricycle to El Nido town.

    Stephen2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Isabelle’s place is in an ideal location just steps from the beach. You won’t find a better place to catch a sunset. We also did an island hopping tour that picked us up just steps from the house. I would highly recommend Isabelle’s place!

    Colin2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Isabelle’s friend Kevin was a very helpful and nice host. the house is very close to the beach, as described. The house is clean and nicely decorated. Next to the house are a couple of restaurants, shops and tricycle drivers to bring you into El Nido town in 15min. Very recommendable! :)

This small room (now with a new small private bathroom) is on Paolyn Houseboat that is located in the pristine, clear and clean water of Laknisan Lagoon also called Blue Lagoon just 500 mtrs from the famous Twin Lagoons and 100 mtrs from Hidden Lagoon, not far from Kayangan Lake. The Lagoon (where we have two houseboats) is 360 degrees sheltered that makes the water perfectly calm. Our Houseboats are the only accommodation and restaurant in Coron island and they are totally Off The Grid
The Nemo Room is on Paolyn Houseboat that started operating last December 2017. In our lagoon we have now two Houseboats: Paolyn Houseboat and Bamboo Houseboat (that started operating last April 2018 after a little delay) and they are around 100 meters one from the other (how you can see from the pictures taken from the drone). These Houseboats (that have also an onboard restaurant) are the first in their kind in Philippines and they are located in a pristine lagoon in the limestone island of Coron: National Park, Marine Reserve and Unesco Biosphere site (Coron Island is different from Coron town that is located in another island named Busuanga). We will pick you up at the Coron/Busuanga airport (or in Coron Town) and bring you to our Houseboats (30 minutes Van plus 30 minutes boat). No pollution, no trafic, no noise. Amazing landscape with breathless landscape with steep cliffs and Karst rock formations made of Permian Limestone of Jurassic origin (that you can almost touch from the Houseboat! and that you can also see from your bedroom and from the tables at the restaurant), it offers superb snorkeling and it is totally quite except birds chirping and splashes of fish. Clean and clear water. It is the only place where to sleep and eat in all Coron Island. You can just jump in the water from the platforms and go snorkelling or you can go with the kayak or the paddleboard (the use of kayak, paddleboard and snorkeling gears if free) to visit twin lagoons that is just the next lagoon. The houseboats are totally indipendent (OFF THE GRID) with 7kw solar panels, 2800 ah of batteries, 4 kw Inverters, 24 h electricity, 24h fresh water, kitchen etc. The Houseboats DO NOT DISCHARGE ANYTHING IN THE SEA. KITCHEN, TOILETS, SINKS AND SHOWERS DISCHARGE IN HOLDING TANKS AND THE CONTENT IS TRANSFERRED DAILY (SOMETIMES TWICE A DAY) BY TWO DEDICATED SERVICE BOATS TO A THREE STAGES SEPTIC TANK BUILT ON PURPOSE ON ANOTHER ISLAND. This is why our sea is not polluted. DNR from Manila and Coron, PCSD from Puerto Princesa and Coron, Coron Municipal Officers have duly inspected our Houseboats. You can relax reading a book in the hammocks or take a sunbath alternated with a swim, have a nice meal or a nice drink on the terrace for sunset. From the Houseboats you can also start and end the islands hopping tours or the indigenous cultural tour to the Tagbanua tribe villages. We have our own speedboats that can bring you privately anywhere! starting from the famous Kayangan and Barracuda lakes where we will bring you when you will be alone without tourists!! Or to amazing Coral Gardens where to experience stunning snorkeling (Twin Peaks, Seven Picados, Smith Coral Garden, Malwaway Coral Garden, Secret Coral Garden) or to white beaches (Vivian Beach, Awaway Beach, Malcapuia Beach, Banana Beach, Bulog Dos Beach, Ditaiatan beach etc) or to snorkel to shallow IIWW wrecks (Luson Gunboat, Skeleton wreck). The Paolyn houseboat has three levels. The ground floor has a common aerea with the bar, the kitchen and two bathrooms with shower. All around 360 degrees there is a platform from where you can access to the sea trough two ladders and where you can relax and take the sun. we have just added two floating decks where more long chairs are located. The first floor has three bedrooms and three bathrooms with a balcony. The top floor has a top roof terrrace with lonch chairs where to lay down and watch the also the stars. The view is 360 degrees. Paolyn Houseboat has three rooms. The JUNIOR SUITE, the UNICORN ROOM and the NEMO room. All located at the first floor. The Junior Suite has a internal private bathroom and a balcony. The unicorn room has a balcony as well and from september 2019 also a private internal bathroom. The Nemo room is the smallest and now has a small private bathroom just outside of the door of the room. If you book the juniorsuite you will have free transportation from and to the airport or Coron Town (30 min common van ride and 30 min boat trip). The transfer for the guests of the Unicorn room and of the Nemo Room from Coron Town to the houseboat and viceversa requires a contribute of 8 usd per way per person (total 10 usd total per way per person if from the airport). IN ORDER TO MAKE IT EASIER AND MORE TRANSPARENT, FROM THE 1ST OF MAY 2019 THE TRANSFERS WILL BE BE INCLUDED IN THE PRICE FOR THE GUESTS OF ALL THE ROOMS. SO ALSO FOR THE GUESTS OF THE UNICORN ROOM AND THE NEMO ROOM. BUT NEMO AND UNICORN ROOM HAVE A CLEANING FEE OF 2000 PESOS THAT IS CALCULATED ONLY ONE TIME INDIPENDENTLY OF HOW MANY NIGHTS ARE BOOKED. THIS AMOUNT IS TO COVER THE TRANSPORTATION OF THE GUESTS. THE JUNIOR SUITE AND THE BAMBOO SUITES DO NOT HAVE ANY CLEANING FEE. Please consider that the Nemo Room is the smallest room we have and, like you can see from the pictures, is very small. It is like a sailboat room. It is the ideal for one young couple or for kids of a family. The small Bathroom is now private and it is at the same level just out of the room. If you are looking for more comfort please check the Junior Suite, the Unicorn room or one of the Bamboo Suites, they all have internal private bathroom and bigger spaces! Bamboo Houseboat have four suites that offer you more comfort and privacy. If you book one of the Bamboo Suite you will have free transportation from and to the airport or Coron Town. You can read on AIRBNB already around 700 amazing reviews of our guests! These are the links to see the review or to book one of the room: Junior Suite on Paolyn Houseboat, https://it.airbnb.com/rooms/19060024 Unicorn Room on Paolyn Houseboat, https://it.airbnb.com/rooms/19041633 Nemo Room on Paolyn Houseboat or https://it.airbnb.com/rooms/22275932 First Suite on Bamboo Houseboat https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/23077576 Second Suite on Bamboo Houseboat https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/23531150 Third Suite on Bamboo Houseboat https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/24394266 Forth Suite on Bamboo Houseboat https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/24386242 We have also a new amazing GLASS HOUSEBOAT that can be all private for you! https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/37567287 It has an amazing view since the walls on three sides are entirely made in folding tempered glass panels (33!!) without any frame. This means stunning view over 180 degrees around in both cases when the glass walls are opened (since they fold on the sides so the wall is all open!) or when they are closed (since no frame! so you have three glass walls!). The four Bamboo Suites have eachone a big private internal bathroom (with two sinks, a marine electric toilet and big fresh water shower), a private relaxing sitting aerea (in the shade. it is called Open Cottage) where it is possible to eat or just to rest (may be reading your book with an amazing landscape view) and a private platform where to lay down to take a sunbath or from where to jump in the water and go snorkeling. On the platform you also have a fresh water shower so rinse the salt from your body after a swim! Each of this suites has a full time free kayak available so you can also freely move to the main houseboat where the restaurant is located (or you can call the staff by a provided and dedicated radio and they will come to pick you up by electric or paddle speedboat!). So guests sleeping in these new suites can eat in the main houseboat (Paolyn Houseboat) where the restaurant is located at the ground floor or they can ask to eat in their private dining/sitting aerea. It is a nice private open bamboo cottage (of course with roof!!) from where you have an amazing view. Guests just need to advise the staff so they can prepare all! Guests of the new suites of the Bamboo Houseboat can also enjoy the roof terrace of the Paolyn Houseboat where long chairs are located and the front platform where two nice round sofas are located (have a look at the pictures!). How you can imagine the privacy of these Suites is little higher than the rooms of the main Houseboat (Paolyn Houseboat). The walls of the different rooms are not touching each other so the insulation is higher. All the suite has airconditioning installed (also the Junior suite and the glass houseboat). If you really want it please specifiy it at the booking time but consider that there is an extracharge of 50 usd to use AC from 8 pm to 7 am. All our rooms (three on Paolyn Houseboat and four on the Bamboo Houseboat) are private in the meaning that you will not share your room with anybody else and have electric fans.
  • Everything was great. Booked the cheapest room for one night. But on arrival I was pleasantly surprised - we were provided with an extra deluxe room much larger in size, with a balcony, costing twice as much as I booked, and allowed to stay in it until the evening of the next day. That is, in fact, I spent there two days instead of one in a beautiful room! This is rarely seen. Thanks Paolo. Hope to see you someday. What can be improved? It seems to me that music in the common area during the day and evening would not hurt. Lightweight, quiet. But it is for my taste. Thanks again!

  • This is not a 5-star hotel but it truly gives you a 5-star experience. It was incredible to stay in the middle of all the beauty that Coron has to offer. We stayed 4 days and did not want to leave! Why we loved it: - Paolo was a great host. Great communicator and he provided a ton of information and what to expect. - We were taken care of from the moment we landed and left. They arranged for airport transfers by van and speedboat. It was pretty easy. - Obviously the best thing is BEING IN THE LAGOON. It was so beautiful to sleep and wake up in the middle of such beauty. The surroundings were all torquoise waters, green nature and blue skies! - The room was actually very comfortable. We had a private bathroom with organic/biodegradeable shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Everything was spotless clean and comfortable! - There’s a floating restaurant in the houseboat which is amazing to dine at day or night - both for the view / ambiance AND the food. - The food was incredible. You’d expect very few options since you’re in a houseboat, but no - they’ve got a full menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner - with appetizers, desserts and drinks. I obsessed over eggs and tocino for breakfast, grilled fish and vegetables for lunch, and grilled chicken for dinner. There’s a good selection of wine, beer and cocktails. I had fresh coconuts and mango smoothies daily, and also had leche flan for dessert. My partner said the pasta was amazing. - in case you’re bored at dinner (which is never, especially with the view), they have a ton or board games for guests. - All kayaking, standup paddle boards, snorkeling gear are free to use for guests. And they give you tips on where to go exploring on your own. Even the kayaking and snorkeling around the boat is gorgeous - we saw beautiful fish and a turtle! - you can also book a tour / rent their speedboat to check out the top attractions with a guide. THE BEST PART IS THEY CAN TAKE YOU BEFORE ALL THE TOURISTS COME IN FROM TOWN!!! We had every gorgeous spot to ourselves for a couple of hours and left before boat loads of people came. THIS MADE OUR STAY VERY WORTH IT!!! - The boat is also set up very nicely with lounge beds in case you just want to stick around and enjoy the view and some cocktails. - At night you can lie on the rooftop lounge and enjoy the stars - Last but not least, Paolo and the staff are the most hospitable people you’ll ever meet. Members of the local tribe work at the house boat so it’s extra special to be welcomed by the locals who own the beauty that was around us. Everything was done with so much care - from our breakfast to our tours, to our coconut drinks, and our bed and towels. You are surrounded by people who care about giving you a 5-star stay. I honestly could keep going about how beautiful this place is and how incredible the staff were. Tips to future travelers: - Book this houseboat if you want to experience Coron to the fullest! - Stay more than one night if you can. That way you get to do a tour one day and just enjoy the houseboat the next day. Over several days, we saw people come in to stay only 1 night and regret it. - Take advantage of the free activities - kayaking, SUP boards and snorkeling. - I highly recommend doing one of the tours - we did the half day morning tour to Kayangan Lake, Barracuda Lake, some snorkeling spots and a beach. These are some of the most photographed spots in the Philippines AND you get the privilege of enjoying these places BEFORE the crowds come in. So take their suggestion to get up early for 6:15am breakfast and head out by 7am to avoid the boat loads of tourists who come in and are screaming and jumping. - at the time we did this, The tour included the price of the speed boat, tour guide, your gear and fuel. Heads up that it doesn’t include the entry fees to the different places (if any). These fees go to the local tribe. - There’s unlimited drinking water. Do not bring single use plastic bottles. They’ll provide you drinking water! - Respect the houseboat rules - they’re pretty good about setting up solar panels, setting up good bathroom systems, eco friendly bathroom products and informing guests on how to keep our stay harmless on nature and keep our surroundings pristine. Use water sparingly. - This stay is great for families, couples and even groups of friends. - Keep this gem a secret. I am doing this review only because i had an incredible experience but I wish this hidden gem remains a secret so I can come back again!

  • Staying at the Paolyn houseboat is a magical experience for adventurous souls. Paolo sent us all the information we needed. The location is spectacular, nothing beats waking up and jumping straight in the water. We took the private speedboat tour offered and it was so amazing! Best way to appreciate the lagoons full of coral and turtles! We will return! Also , our meals were wonderful. Tips: Load up a globe SIM card before your stay if internet is important to you. Bring a dry bag for kayaking and boating around the area.

  • Paolyn Houseboats are in an amazing location, right in the middle of several lakes and good points of snorkeling. The restaurant and amenities were outstanding and the staff was really welcoming. Fully recommend!

  • Enjoyed my stay on the Houseboat. Staff were extremely friendly and made me feel very welcome once I had arrived. Minor hiccup day one as WIFI on Houseboat had gone down and Paolo was away for business in Italy and my pickup at the docks didn’t arrive. I was able to charter a private boat to the houseboat and Paolo and his lovely wife reimbursed me. I had been offered an early check in that day which was very kind. Snorkeling at the coral reef and paddling to the Twin Lagoons was one of the best experiences I’ve had to date. Would definitely book again.

    Brittany2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place and unique! My gf and I enjoy it a lot. You can literally jump in to kayak, paddle board, and snorkel whenever you want to! Because it just right there. The staffs are all so nice and helpful! 5 stars services! If you want to do the island without a crowds, Paola offer a private tour to go when there are no crowds. The only complain I have is our neighbor boat house, I know everyone is having fun but this couple in the different boat house was blasting there music all night. There should be rule with loud speaker music. Other than that, this was a 5 stars experience for us.

  • It's the Best place that I have been!

    Florencia2019-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing Houseboat. Everything is perfect. The view all around the boat is unbelievable. The crew is really friendly and helpful. You can book all the tours for Coron island with the crew, you have a private speedboat so you are on your own to all the attractions. Incredible experience. I hope I will can come back again. Thank you Paolo.

My place is located on the beach, under coconut palm trees. Pamuayan Beach is 2 km long and has not yet been developed so you maybe the only guests there. It is close to Port Barton: 3 km on foot or a motorbike or 10 minutes by boat. It's a perfect place for couples and for everyone who wants to escape from noise and commotion. All you will hear is the sea and occasionally a boat in a distance. You can also use a kayak that i own to go to explore the nearby islands or to snorkel.
The bungalow is new and well prepared for it's function. The light construction ensures a lot of fresh air and the way it is built will make you feel you are really "away in the tropics".
The bungalow is located on an isolated and still not developed beach with white sand and soft sea bed. There are no roosters, power generators or parties with loud music to spoil your vacation time. You and your co-traveler will be alone in a paradise place.
  • The best airbnb we've ever stayed in yet. The pictures coulnt do justice with how beautiful the place is, but what made our trip more memorable was ate Rose's and her staffs hospitality. Absolutely recommended to anyone searching for peace and quiet. Will surely book this place again when we get back to Port Barton

    Mary Alleina2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was awesome, but the description is not 100% true anymore. There are a lot of tour boats which have a stop on the beach in the afternoon.

    Michael2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Rosemarie is the most gentle, caring host imaginable - I have loved every second of my time spent at her place.

    Robert2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had 3 great nights in Rosemarie's cottage. The cottage was small but nice and suited us perfectly to the environment. The cottage is located outside of Port Barton, lonely on a beach (where some day trippers as well as boats from the island hopping tours can now be found) Rosemarie is a wonderful and warm host. Rosemarie served us delicious and freshly prepared food and organized an island hopping tour with pick-up directly at the cottage. We highly recommend the cottage

    Bettina2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Exceptional host, very attentive, attentive and responsive. His little cottage on the sidelines and on the beach is a little piece of paradise that must be helped to preserve as a tourist. Fall asleep with the sound of the waves because you hear that and wake up facing the sea is the most peaceful thing!

    Tiffany2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • We booked both available bungalows. They are simple but clean and comfortable. The place is not far located from Port Barton, especially if you have a motorbike (highly recommend to rent one) - max 15 minutes. Port Barton became a bit busier last months and therefore this is a good option if you look for an even more relaxed accommodation. The beach is literally in front of your bungalow and it's very clean with white sand and a relaxed atmosphere. I also suggest a trip going up north to San Vicente. Rosemary is very knowledgeable and the everyday breakfast was delicious and can be taken right on the beach. We had a great stay, I highly recommend Rosemary's place, we will be back for sure. Must try: Explore the planktons at the beach at night!

    Manuel2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • I spent unforgettable days at Evio Front Beach Cottages! And ma'am Rosemarie was so caring (: also her staff. The dishes were so delicious. I highly recommend this place

    Kathleen2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • The best placed we stay in the Philippines after arriving here we immediately booked extra days! This place is a little paradise and it is something for you if you like to wake up on a private beach, eat delicious Filipino food (best food we had in the Philippines) and enjoy nature.

  • Great place,Good breakfast, Delphine and George were very helpful. Organized tricycles and taxi for us on request. Nice relaxing and well maintained place. Only down side was the roosters in the area. Was out of their control but just a heads up. Overall top place n stay. Thanks

    Matt2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Delphine’s place is super stylish, amazing design with chic decor, we enjoyed our time there very much. Convenient location, super friendly staff, very responsive! We will definitely come back soon!

    Serenity2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Delphine her stay is very nice! It is a relaxed and beautiful stay, but around with very nice bars & restaurants. Delphine is very welcome and makes you feel very comfortable. She arranged a lot for us, many thanks! Also, the breakfast is very very good, everything was fresh and selfmade. We liked it a lot!

    Rachelle2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Nice house away from traffic. Good breakfast with a European touch, special mention for bread. Very pleasant outdoor shower in the tropics. .

    Claudine2019-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • The decoration of the house is very characteristic - there are several rooms in a large yard, quite quiet. The landlord is very friendly. When we returned, we booked a sudden car for us. The breakfast was not bad.

    楚雯2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Love Delphine’s place. If you want a more upscale experience book here. Love the villa compound. Very private. Feels like home. Had a breakfast reminiscent of my breakfasts in Gordes with the French baguette, jams and marmalade, butter, pressed coffee with the almost Provençal cup (had a handle so :-). What a gem of a staff. Jin whipped a malunggay omelette upon my request. Gardener/groundskeeper happily picked malunggay for me in her garden. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Would definitely book again.

  • By far this has been the best AirBnB I have ever booked! It’s beautiful, extremely clean, well maintained, and peaceful! Our room was beautifully decorated, the breakfast we had in the morning was delicious, and their pool is definitely made for instagram goals! Delphine and Ate Jean were amazing hosts! It’s far from the business of downtown but close enough to restaurants and bars! Overall we had the best experience throughout all the Airbnbs I booked this month of travel and will definitely book again!

    Neil2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed with my husband in a paradise! Much better than You could ever expect. Beautiful! Lovely pool! Close to the airport but in lovely area. Delphine, the hostess, helps with reservations if needed: island hopping, underground river or scubadiving. And breakfast was supergood! A warm recommendation to spend a perfect holiday.

This Junior Suite (private bathroom, view and balcony) is on Paolyn Houseboat that is located in the pristine, clear and clean water of Laknisan Lagoon, in Coron island, just 500 mtrs from the famous Twin Lagoons and 100 mtrs from Hidden Lagoon, not far from Kayangan Lake. The Lagoon (where we have two houseboats) is 360 degrees sheltered that makes the water perfectly calm. Our Houseboats are the only accommodation and restaurant in Coron island and they are totally Off The Grid.
The JUNIOR SUITE is on Paolyn Houseboat that started operating last December 2017. The ground floor has a common aerea with the bar, the kitchen and one bathroom with shower. All around 360 degrees there is a platform from where you can access to the sea trough two ladders and where you can relax and take the sun. The first floor has three bedrooms and one bathroom with a balcony. The top floor has a terrrace with hammocks. The view is 360 degrees. Paolyn Houseboat has three rooms. The JUNIOR SUITE, the UNICORN ROOM and the NEMO room. All located at the first floor. The Junior Suite has a private bathroom and a balcony. The unicorn room has a balcony as well. The guests of the Unicorn room and of the Nemo room can use a shared bathroom located at the lower level in the restaurant at the ground floor. The JUNIOR SUITE is the biggest room on Paolyn Houseboat. It has an internal bathroom and an amazing view. It is the ideal for a couple lokking for some comfort, even with two or three kids. Consider that it is located at the first floor. If you are looking for more privacy and not to do steps to go in your room, please check one of the Bamboo Suites, they are at the ground floor, they all have internal private bathroom and the privacy in higher since they have eachone its own private open cottage and private platform from where to swim. The Bamboo Suite have also bigger spaces and are perfect for couples in Honeymoon but also for bigger family (till a maximum of 7 people). The Bamboo Suites have also airconditioning (with an extracharge). You can almost jump directly from your bed to the sea! Bamboo Houseboat have four suites that offer you more comfort and privacy. If you book one of the Bamboo Suite you will have free transportation from and to the airport or Coron Town. You can read on AIRBNB already around 500 amazing reviews of our guests! Each of this suites has a full time free kayak available so you can also freely move to the main houseboat where the restaurant is located (or you can call the staff by a provided and dedicated radio and they will come to pick you up by speedboat!). If the Main houseboat is not rented privately, guests of the new suites of the Bamboo Houseboat can also enjoy the roof terrace of the Paolyn Houseboat where nice hammocks are located and the front platform where two nice round sofas are located (have a look at the pictures!). How you can imagine the privacy of these Suites is little higher than the rooms of the main Houseboat (Paolyn Houseboat). The walls of the different rooms are not touching each other so the insulation is higher. One of the suite has airconditioning installed. if you really want it please specifiy it at the booking time but consider that there is an extracharge of 50 usd to use AC from 8 pm to 8 am. All our rooms (three on Paolyn Houseboat and four on the Bamboo Houseboat) are private in the meaning that you will not share your room with anybody else and have electric fans.
This is the only place in all Coron Island! You are just in the middle of Unesco site with breathless landscape from your windows, balcony, terrace and restaurant

  • A great experience if travelling to Coron. I would recommend staying at this stunning location

    Brittney2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • I dont know what I can say that hasn't already been said about this place so all I can do is tell anyone reading this just to BOOK. My husband and I stayed for 1 night (because that was all that was available we would have stayed longer) on our honeymoon and it was also my birthday and Paolo and April just went above and beyond for us. We so enjoyed hearing about the history of the houseboat from Paolo and reccomendations he gave didn't disappoint. The food was gorgeous but of course the most amazing part was the scenery all around you. Crystal clear water and cliffs surround the place and you really feel like you've stepped into paradise. HIGHLY reccomend

    Rachael2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re hesitating at all, don’t. Book this place right now!! We stayed in the Junior Suite and it was absolutely perfect for us. The entire experience from before we even arrived to the day we left was amazing. Paolo helped arrange a private van to the correct boat dock since our ferry came in a different one. We had the Paolo boat crew help get us out to the boat with zero confusion or time waiting, and then we had such a lovely staff on board that thought of all the little things and were so kind and genuine. The lagoon itself is honestly better than the Twins Lagoon and any other lagoon around it. Lounging on the roof deck at night with the view of millions of stars was awe inspiring and romantic. The room itself was perfect. Private, large enough that it was comfortable for two people, and even a waterfall showerhead in the bathroom. This is the most luxurious boat living I’ve ever seen- they’ve thought of every little comfort. Last, I had a mango allergy that I was worried about with eating on board (and the Philippines in general) but everyone was really accommodating and I felt safe the entire time with my food. Thank you guys!! We can’t wait to come back.

    Heather2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing. Even the amazing pictures don’t do the facility justice. Everyone who works on the boat is amazing, and the location naturally attracts some adventurous guests! It certainly won’t be our last time here.

    David2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • A+ experience. Paolo’s house boat is by far the best Airbnb my girlfriend and I have ever stayed at. So well run, and the communication was excellent. Words and pictures don’t even do it justice. We would stay at Paolo’s houseboat again in a heartbeat!

    Dennis2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • If I could give 1000 stars I would! I highly recommend this property. You will have an unforgettable experience. The staff are very friendly and attentive to any of your needs. The food was great and the atmosphere Paolo and his team have created is unparalleled to any other experience I’ve ever had. Just book now and thank me later!

    Willy2019-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • You must book on the Paolyn Houseboat! We booked two rooms (Junior Suite and Unicorn room) on the main boat and we have nothing but wonderful things to say. Paolo is very honest about what to expect (he always says it may not be a 5 star resort, but it is a 5 star experience) and every room on each boat has something different to offer. The food is fresh each day and the bartender is amazing, loves what he does, and makes some of the best drinks (and that’s coming from a NY girl). The staff is mostly from the local tribes and they are so eager to help and accommodate the guests. The location is amazing. Minutes away from some of the most beautiful lakes and reefs and with the ability to explore without all the crowds. Paolo could not be more accommodating, from needing an extra bed, to flowers for our anniversary, to helping us extend our stay by an extra day (because we couldn’t move ourselves to leave). Paolo and April are constantly improving the houseboats, working to ensure the environment stays healthy and protected, and most importantly treats his local workers well by providing good pay & valuable training. All of this contributed to an exceptional stay and we cannot wait to return.

"Bahay Kubo" is the Filipino word for a traditional Filipino house. Our well-loved 2-bedroom home is fashioned with native materials from the sawali walls to our bamboo floor. Enjoy and relax at our peaceful home in Concepcion Town, only 36km from the very touristy Coron Town. Less touristy, more local, more natural, more personal... and every bit as beautiful as only the Philippines can be! :-) See you soon!
A private bedroom is rented out for every 2 guests who stay with us. There is also the option to rent out the entire house for up to 4 guests. But don't worry about your privacy! We don't rent out the other room for guests looking to book just 1 room. :-) Our house is inspired by the traditional Filipino home. Situated on the forest hillside beside Busuanga's Dipuyai River, we want to create a relaxed and laid back atmosphere that is completely in tune with Mother Nature. At the end of the day, we want you to have the best possible trip, whether it includes just chilling out with a book or having some good fun with a few drinks!
Our place overlooks Busuanga Bay and is the perfect gateway to the best island hopping and diving on the island. Although we are 36km from the touristy Coron Town, we are actually closer to some of the best destinations -- we are a mere 5 minutes away from the nearest wreck dive (Okikawa Maru, a 200-meter Japanese oil tanker) and a 10 minute boat ride away from the best powdery-white sand beaches. So our home is the perfect place to stay for those who want to avoid the crowds! Recommended activities that we can arrange for you: - island hopping and snorkeling (remote white sand beaches, stunning reefs and a shallow Japanese WW2 shipwreck) - overnight beach camping -- OUR SPECIALTY! ;-) either in huts for rent on the beach or in tents, depends on you! - SCUBA diving and courses (Luke is a tech diving instructor and Danica is a divemaster) - visit Concepcion water falls - kayaking through mangroves - bird and bat watching - Social Impact experiences on environment conservation projects and community immersions (Airbnb doesn't offer this yet in the Philippines, but Danica works for a non-profit environmental conservation organization in the area called Community Centered Conservation) Please send us a message so we can give you more information on activities we can arrange for you! :-)
  • We had a great and relaxing stay! The kitchen is perfect if you want to cook something and the owners and staff are very helpfull and friendly. I can only recommend this place.

  • Perfect retreat after 2 weeks of roadtrip in backpack. We have appreciated the peacefulness of the spot, and of course the quality of service provided by the staff.

    Marina2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful house in the middle of the trees overlooking the bay. The bed is very comfortable, the food is great and the owners are really welcoming and lovely people that can give you great recommendations for tours and activities. Would definitely stay there again!

    Judith2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • This treehouse was the perfect getaway from fast paced Coron Town! The staff were wonderful and the trip that Jo organized for us to Black Island went wonderfully as well! To set the expectations: everything is open air, there are two large lizards living in the space, there is no hot water and there are a lot of mosquitoes. We didn't mind and found the place absolutely charming and will be back. The wifi works perfectly and the food served in the kitchen is delicious as well. We fully enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it to other adventurous couples who want a bit of an elevated glamping experience! You won't regret booking this spot.

  • Treat yourself, wonderful place to stay. Organised island tour and diving superb, can’t recommend enough!

    Mark2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Honestly this place was heaven for us. 4 people for 1 week. The food at the hostel restaurant is incredible and they can deliver to your table. Staff was impeccable. Diving was the best we've ever done and the dive shop picked us up directly from the house by boat. The house is immaculate, super clean and comfortable. They even put up a Christmas tree! Plan on coming back.
