Come escape to our tiny modern off grid cabin situated in the middle of our private 125 acre mountain top property which backs up to Pisgah National Forest. Wake up to soaring mountain views, hike all day on the Blue Ridge Parkway, grill out and make S'mores over the fire pit, and then roll open the glass garage door to fall asleep under the stars in a comfy bed...just 25 minutes to downtown Asheville! All well behaved dogs are welcome!
DUE TO THE NEW COVID 19 STAY HOME STAY SAFE COUNTY REGULATIONS: APRIL IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR LONGER TERM ISOLATION/QUARANTINE STAYS. Wake up to a breath taking mountain view amidst the trees! Hike the easy nearby trail along the creek into Pisgah National Forest or drive 4 miles up to the blue ridge parkway for some of the best hikes in the area! You can be in downtown Asheville in 25 minutes to enjoy all the amazing food, breweries, and art galleries. The cabin has a comfortable queen size bed, a propane 2 burner cook stove, solar generator to turn on lights and charge cell phones, a water cooler for drinking and washing, and a propane heater if its cold. We provide an outdoor shower with a solar shower camping bag. Attached to the cabin is a very clean porta potty with mountain views that is emptied weekly. The outdoor fire pit is a short stroll from the cabin for making s'mores- bring your own firewood. There is a charcoal grill next to the cabin if you like to grill out. Check out our sweet 2 person swing with epic views! The glass garage door on the front of the cabin opens to beautiful mountain views (it has a roll down bug screen we put out only during the warmer months). The cabin is heated by a propane heater during the winter. CORONA VIRUS UPDATE-PLEASE NOTE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICED- We are recommending you bring your own bedding including pillows/queen size sheets/blankets or sleeping bags. We are spraying down all surfaces in the cabins with a bleach solution and taking the necessary precautions to disinfect everything. We will have bedding available if you cannot bring your own. Bring a cooler with ice in it for your perishables (there is no fridge) and your own towels for bathing. We provide basic cookware, a tea pot, coffee press and a couple 5 gallon jugs of water for you to drink and wash dishes in. We love dogs and know how hard it is to find a place that allows them to come on vacation with you! Potty trained, well behaved, dogs of any size are welcome! Dogs cannot be left in the cabin unattended. If you can't find the dates you want, check out our other awesome cabins by clicking on our Airbnb profile.
The proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway and all the hiking trails nearby make this neighborhood special!
  • Our stay here was perfect! The view was spectacular and we went the whole weekend without seeing any other people. Amazing privacy and breathtaking views.

  • Such a great spot! The hosts are very helpful and everything was clean, neat, and beautiful.

    Victoria2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy cabin! Due to COVID-19 closing down all of Asheville, we had no problem staying in the cabin for 2 days straight cooking and relaxing. Boiling water and pouring it into the solar shower was fun, but definitely wouldn’t want to do it everyday! It’s super easy to adjust the temperature using the propane heater and opening the door.

    Nick2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • In times of chaos this is the perfect off grid spot. By far my coolest vacation. It’s camping, but with a little wood cabin over your head. Cozy and isolated. Has everything you need if you’re the type to wanna connect with nature. Loved it!

    Catika2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is an incredible getaway into the Pisgah Forest! The surrounding landscape is beautiful and the cabin was the perfect home base for some excursions along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin was clean, the perfect size for two people, and easy to use. Being off the grid felt great and was explained really well by Haley, who does a wonderful job explaining everything and being a community resource. I hope to come back soon!

    Samantha2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had an awesome time at the Cabin! It was super clean and cozy. Additionally, it’s proximity to Downtown Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway was perfect for splitting time between the hiking and exploring the downtown food and brewery scene. We came at the tail end of the winter so it was a bit chilly, but the cabin heated up quickly so it was never uncomfortable. Would definitely want to come back and experience it in the warmer months as well!

    Carolyn2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Super cool spot!!

    Sophia2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing views and very quiet! The cabin was very clean and cozy, just make sure to bring an extra blanket if you go during winter months since it gets chilly up on the hill, but otherwise awesome!

    Beautiful, inspiring and peaceful.
Corona virus COVID-19 note: rest assured our studio apartment is thoroughly disinfected and all items are re-washed and dried w/ high heat in between each reservation. A peaceful retreat awaits you in the trees just outside of West Asheville's "locals" downtown! Walkable to Haywood Rd and all our excellent neighborhood restaurants, art and yoga studios, farmers market and pubs. Note: Our house is in a dense suburban residential neighborhood and not outside of town. We have neighbors on all sides but we are lucky that our house is in an urban forest that affords privacy. The studio apartment is below the main house which has its own entrance and outdoor space. Our family lives above and we are very respectful of your privacy. The studio is SMALL one room space (12x15) but well equipped with a hot plate, under counter fridge, small table and 2 chairs and a queen size bed. You have your own small bathroom with 3x3 shower and toilet. Bathroom sink is in kitchenette. A laundry room is right next door and is also available. If you are looking for an unique space that is peaceful and quiet but part of a vibrant creative community you will enjoy staying with us and we will enjoy hosting you!
West Asheville is the best! Quiet and neighborly, it's not like downtown Asheville with hotels and so many tourists but you can get there or the parkway or the Biltmore very quickly by car. Downtown, five minutes, everywhere else, ten minutes. We have our own downtown in West Asheville and there's many excellent restaurants and music venues within walking or biking distance.
  • Cute room and area! Did not expect it to be a shared house, description was a bit deceptive. It was too pricey for one room.

  • Thank you!

  • Jakub and Maria's spot is one of the most beautiful air bnb's I have ever stayed in!!! It was private and cozy, yet a short walk to some hip coffee shops and great breakfast spots, and we loved waking up to a beautiful view of the trees. Absolutely wonderful experience.

    Rebecca2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jakub & Maria’s place is truly a sanctuary. It is such a cozy comforting space surrounded by nature within a little neighborhood. When you use the 2 screen doors it feels like a porch. It’s a quiet location but you’re just blocks from bustling Haywood. Jakub & Maria respond promptly and provided great recommendations for food and hiking. The bed is comfortable and the outdoor seating options are lovely. It’s a very welcoming environment. Highly recommend!

    Mary2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Super cute place walkable you west Asheville main strip. All over awesome!

Come enjoy seclusion and mountain views in this sweet little off grid cabin tucked back in the woods of our 125 acre private gated mountain top escape near Pisgah National Forest. Hike 150 yards down a flat gravel road to get to the cabin for a retreat from your normal day to day life. Disconnect and enjoy the mountain view, nature and solitude. Bring your dogs. Bring a book and lounge in the hammock. Enjoy the simpler things.
DUE TO THE NEW COVID 19 COUNTY REGULATIONS: APRIL IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR LONGER TERM ISOLATION STAYS. This off grid cabin is located on 125 acres of private land that is gated and backs up to Pisgah National Forest. It is 4 miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway and to the top of Mount Pisgah. It is close to all of our favorite hiking spots and swimming holes on the Blue Ridge Parkway! An easy 25 minute drive to Asheville and all of it's amazing food and breweries. The cabin is 100% off the grid: that means solar panels for limited electricity needs, propane heaters help keep the cabin cozy during the winter, and an outdoor shower area. Bring your own bedding and towels. Enjoy our 3 burner propane cook top for cooking, granite countertops, a sink with a water dispenser for drinking water, board games and a very comfortable queen size bed. Lounge in the giant hammock under the trees. We provide a solar shower (5 gallon camping shower bag) that can be heated in the sun and used year around (mind you the shower is outside so plan accordingly with weather). In the summer months we have a heated rain water collection shower that we try to keep up and running. It is temperamental so we keep the solar shower as our primary shower and consider it a bonus if the rain water shower is functioning! We also provide a list of other places to shower if you are staying for a longer period of time and crave a long shower or it is too cold t shower outdoors. The cabin has mountain views through the trees and is tucked back in the woods on a flat gravel road that you will have to walk on to get to the house. You will stop and park near the out house. We provide a wagon to help get your things to the cabin. The outhouse is about 150 yards from the cabin with floor to ceiling glass windows looking out through the tree tops...definitely the best view you have ever seen from an outhouse! The outhouse is cleaned out weekly on Mondays sometime between 8-11 am by a service truck. Our Goal Zero solar generator provides limited electricity to run the solar lights inside the cabin. If it has been cloudy, then the solar generator may not get charged enough to run the lights. We try to keep lanterns and flashlights around as back ups...but it's best if you bring along your own incase the solar generator runs out of power. We do have a back up solar generator that we keep charged in case it stays cloudy for days so please let us know if you need it. During the winter, the space is heated with a propane heater and can stay pretty warm. If they are calling for below freezing temperatures, I would recommend bringing extra blankets or warm sleeping bags. Bring some wood and make s'mores in our fire pit! Bring a cooler for your perishables since we do not have a fridge. We love all dogs of any size and welcome them to come on vacation with you! They will need to be left in crates if left indoors while you are out adventuring in town. We prefer they don't get on our furniture. Bring dog beds along for them. We are happy to be able to provide a dog friendly space since we too are dog owners and lovers....we just request you clean up after them, relocate their poops to the woods, and be sure to sweep up their extra dog hair before you leave.
Our mountain top escape is at the foot of Mount Pisgah and backs up to Pisgah National Forest. The roads are steep, but amazingly paved and engineered. This property was originally intended to be a housing development, but we have purchased it and put it into a Forestry Management Program with EcoForesters. Future plans include a trail system. We have one other Airbnb on this property but they are very far away from each other.
  • JUST WHAT THE DOCTOR ORDERED! The best place to get away without going far. We love Haley’s cabins and this one is top notch with the epic hammock! We loved hiking the MST and Pisgah trails, just 10 min away. We also loved Haley’s great recommendations and how perfectly clean the cabin was. We will definitely be back and have already recommended the space to several friends looking to get some fresh air during these crazy times.

    Katherine2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Cannot recommend highly enough! A beautiful cabin in the perfect location - secluded while also close to Asheville and plenty of things to do. Laying in the hammock looking at the stars was our favorite part, although it was hard to choose!

    Devon2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I were blown away by this place! It was so cool and Haley clearly put a lot of thought into it. The directions to get there were very well explained and everything was so clean. We loved that we were able to bring our dog with us. She loved our relaxing weekend get away just as much as we did!

    Levi2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this space and the openness. Enjoyed relaxing on the hammock and on the front porch. Will definitely be back in the future!

    Jessenia2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place with amazing views. Check in and directions are very simple! It was very cozy and completely secluded!

    Amanda2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous cabin and peaceful getaway if you have the chance to book you sure won’t regret it!

    Ella2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to get away! Nice quiet location outside of Asheville but still close enough to see some things in the city or mountains. Bathroom a little far from the cabin but everything was very clean! Hammock is super cool and the cabin cozy!

Come stay in my spacious and beautifully designed tiny cottage in the trees! Wake to windows full of sky and songbirds. Enjoy your morning coffee on the back deck for a chance to see mama bear with cubs foraging in the ravine. It's located behind my personal residence in a sweet little neighborhood only 4 minutes from downtown...(Uber and Lyft is available). It's cozy, quiet, and close to everything! Adults and Airbnb guests only... Thank you!
I had this quaint and cozy cabin built by a company specializing in small home design. Their craftsmanship is unparalleled! It is nestled in the trees above a small ravine and sits in the backyard of my house. It is small (288 sq ft downstairs, 100 upstairs and a 100 sq. ft. deck) but has the feel of something bigger with high ceilings and an open concept and loft. It is close to downtown, the Biltmore, and Blue Ridge Parkway but feels like a quiet get away. This space is meant for two people and is for adults only. Absolutely no pets, smoking, vaping or parties. Please respect the no pets policy as there are folks highly allergic to even hypoallergenic pets. Thank you! Features: All new designer furniture Brand new queen size bed in the loft Full sized refrigerator Toaster oven, microwave, and hot plate for small meals. Coffee maker with Starbucks House roast coffee Ceramic tile bath with roomy tiled shower Wide plank oak hardwood floors Rosewood dining bar in eat-in kitchen Hide-away fold down writing desk with view of trees and wildlife Real stairs/storage to the loft Tankless water heater so you have limitless hot water Beautiful deck out back to sit and take in the view Come see how special this place is! I love it!
This house is located in a cozy, tree-lined neighborhood 4 miles from downtown. Close enough to anything you want to do but tucked away in its own little patch of woods. Walkable neighborhood to a public library, two playgrounds, one block to the Farmers' Market on Fridays, two blocks to PennyCup coffee shop (try their frozen Green Tea!) and Creekside Taphouse BBQ...yum!
  • This Tiny House was a perfect little getaway! We enjoyed it very much, it is close to everything we needed. The space is plenty big enough for two people and cozy! The bed was very comfortable and the view on the back porch was amazing! We will definitely try to come back and explore more!

New listing from superhost! Take a short walk on well lit path to an oasis in the woods. A swinging bridge welcomes you to a quiet, cozy home in the trees, surrounded by native Laurel and abundant hardwoods. Listen to the birds while having your morning coffee on the deck or relax in the hot tub below. The home is located on 14 acres. Old Fort is 10 minutes to Black Mountain and 20 minutes to Asheville.
The treehouse has luxury bedding, LED fireplace, full internet connection, cable tv, heat/air, microwave, cook top, and refrigerator. We have an outdoor shower with hot water and composting toilet, all located on the deck overlooking the forest. Our driveway is approximately 1/3 of a mile long through the woods. We just had new gravel put on the road so your tires may spin slightly going up one of the hills until the gravel is fully packed down. https://bradcapone.com/unique-spaces-tree-house/?fbclid=IwAR3P9k3rTbtj9lUcAUl2x_HI_CgTMldWhM-LTZAzSUcilo5dcZEJJBwlXSY
  • Amazing place to unwind and relax. We stayed here for 2 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. We went to Asheville for dinner both nights, so the drive is not that bad from the treehouse. The attention to detail was top notch. Better than any 5 star hotel I've ever stayed at. From the outside shower, hot tub, fireplace, comfortable bed to the donuts...we loved every bit of it. Melissa was quick to respond to our messages. Thank you for an amazing stay!

    Brandy2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse somehow exceeded our expectations! The space is super clean and has everything you need. Melissa left us fantastic donuts and tips of what to do around Old Fort and Asheville. She was very easy to contact and really helpful! Definitely a MUST STAY.

    Matthew2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place was so unique and pristine. My significant other and I had a relaxing long weekend and it was an experience like none other. The treehouse is close to the owners home but still with plenty of privacy. We were able to have her son take us into the Biltmore and back which was fantastic and super convenient. We have some great memories from our treehouse adventure. Would definitely go back in a heartbeat!!

    Jennifer2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • You have to check this place out! Not only is it unique, it is such an amazing place to relax in comfort and style. Every inch of the treehouse is amazing, from the outside shower to the beautiful interior! I cannot say enough that if you want a getaway in a treehouse near Asheville, this is your spot!

    Chelsea2020-03-05T00:00:00Z

The artist/owner built cottage is a quiet sanctuary located to downtown, the Biltmore Estate, West Asheville shops, an incredible bakery and restaurants. Enjoy handmade pottery, local art, all cotton bedding and fresh eggs within this adorable Moroccan-influenced getaway. The River Arts District, French Broad River and shops are within walking distance. The Admiral and The Bull and a Beggar are fantastic. Owl Bakery, Hole donuts, Whist, Flora and Villagers are superb. *Permitted homestay*16-05428 Your own cottage ( no shared space other than patio- with me) in the heart of East West Asheville. River Arts district is 5 minutes away by car. Unique two-story cottage built by owner. It looks and feels like a house you may find in Morocco or Majorca . It's only four years old , but built to look like an old villa. Heating and air conditioning on both levels, ceiling fan above bed. 100 % cotton bedding and throws are throughout the house. All natural cleaning products, shampoo, and soaps.Previously named The Mermaid Cottage. 5 minutes from Biltmore Estate. Walking distance to Haywood Rd. Owl Bakery, Hole Donuts, Short Street Cakes, The Apple Orchard Cider house, Walk and my favorite for dinner, 5 star restaurant The Admiral or delicious gluten free eclectic- Bim Beri Bon are walking distance or a 3 minute drive. Whist is a very cool paper goods and many cute things store on Haywood a few blocks from the house. Two cats, Rue (gray) and Gingko (black) live on the property and sometimes wander around the cottage door looking for an ear scratch. Chickens also live on the south side of the property. Cats and dogs live in my house- the blue one.
This neighborhood of mostly bungalows is friendly, low key, just within walking distance to Haywood Road's restaurants and Carrier Park. Places like The Admiral, Owl Bakery, Hole Donuts, Taco Billy and Bim Beri Bon are all above average.
  • Camille's cottage was super warm and perfectly comfortable for our weekend stay. Super unique and cozy, we loved coming home here after a couple of days spent hiking off the Blue Ridge Parkway and visiting breweries and restaurants downtown (both just a short drive away). We also enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and down to the river parks from the cottage. We loved the charm of the place and even though the space is small, it felt like more than enough for the two of us and was stocked with everything we could need. We would definitely come back the next time we visit Asheville.

    Chelsea2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We were a small trip away from all the places we wanted stop at in Asheville! The house is beautiful and perfect for a couple. Camille was a very gracious host and made a point to come out to talk upon our departure. We will be back!

    John2020-03-09T00:00:00Z

  • Camille was so hospitable and lovely, as was her beautiful cottage. She made sure to check on us during our stay and left delicious snacks. We highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking to get away and relax, while still being located close to exceptional restaurants and bakeries.

    Ray2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • I could not recommend a more perfect home to stay at in the Asheville area. It is close to anything you could want to do in the Asheville area and is in a lovely neighborhood. The house itself had so much charm and so many thoughtful touches. The decor was unique and really made the stay feel like an experience. There was an abundance of amenities (snacks, toiletries, etc.) and Camille made us feel so welcome. Everything was seamless and staying at this home was the perfect end to our Asheville vacation. I would recommend this AirBnB to anyone and everyone visiting Asheville!

    Dugan2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The Moroccan cottage was amazing. It felt like vacation from the minute I walked in! I will stay there again.

    Tammy2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • I'm still glowing after my stay at Camille's gorgeous cottage. I needed a restful and inspiring vacation, and this certainly gave me all that and more. The space is both calming and uplifting, cozy and beautiful. Camille has added all sorts of thoughtful details (the heated blanket was beyond!) that make this by far my favorite Airbnb I've stayed at. The pictures don't do it justice (and they're gorgeous pictures), so if you're looking at this listing do yourself a favor and book a stay right now.

CORONA RETREAT: Come enjoy fresh air. Gaze at the heavens from the hot tub by this cozy oak cabin. Solar-powered lights illuminate the deck, while the fire pit generates its own coziness. Come the new day, adventures await with the kayaks and tubes on the New River below. Private, yet just 6 minutes to downtown Boone, with Blowing Rock and other nearby small towns. Hike the hills around the cabin or drive a few minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The New River is below the cabin--about a 3 minute walk-- kayak or tube down peaceful river. Comfy queen bed in private room. King mattress in loft.
This is a beautifully built and finished Gastineau Homes Log Cabin with loft, dormers, deck, private bedroom, full bathroom with bathtub, full kitchen, internet, smart tv with Hulu Live and Netflix pre-loaded and signed in for you. Vaulted ceilings, with ceiling fans in bedroom and family room. Air Conditioning and Heating. Beautiful ceiling lamps. This was a showroom cabin and display model and then moved from its "home" in Kentucky to our home in the Appalachian mountains, just a few miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. The bedroom features a brand new, high end queen mattress, double-tiered closet and dresser as well as glass door to the outside. Private bathroom with toilet and tub/shower. Across the "hall" from this is a sink/mirror and small storage area. Family room features a sleeper sofa, and recliner chair, small sofa table, table and stools and entertainment center. Oak log cabins are of the highest quality of the log cabins. Great insulation. Quiet. Superior craftsmanship. DECK: table for four, rolling cart for drinks and food, two stools. Rock pathway down to hot tub and wooden spool table/picnic table and fire pit area. PLEASE NOTE: There is a railing at the entrance to the deck that is not nailed down. This can be used to push in front of the deck steps to keep young ones or pets on the deck, so you don' have to worry about them wandering off. This is a No Shoe home, so we ask that you either wear your socks, go barefoot or bring some of your own slippers. Also, if you're bringing pets, be sure to clean their paws very well before entering the house. Please note that we are grateful to have a washer/dryer that fits into the home. The washing machine does have a quirk--it only runs on warm/hot setting. Some special features include: -- Himalayan Salt lamp in the bedroom -- Keurig coffee maker, so bring K-cups if you wish -- Copper pots--cookware -- Recliner chair to watch the trees grow -- If you’ve forgotten your reading glasses, there’s a tiny pair on the sofa table -- Smart tv with Netflix and Hulu Live pre-set and signed in for you -- flashlight -- Top of the line new mattress and box springs and high count sheet -- miniature reading light on bed -- Cute little arched copper reading lamp -- Welcome chalk board -- Copper candy bowl Please let us know if you're interested in kayaking or tubing so we can set up a time to take you up river and you can take out in our front yard (which is down the hill from the cabin--separate entrance. Note: you cannot see our home from the cabin as the cabin is at the top end of the 5 acre lot. Bring your bicycle or your fishing pole.
Stroll the roads and explore this quiet, friendly neighborhood, saying hi to the cows along the way. Head up Pine Run Road to the top of the hill for all-round mountain views, including a Grandfather Mountain profile and the Tennessee and Virginia mountains in the background. Downtown Boone and Blowing Rock is a short drive. Bike around Todd which is just 15 minutes away, or take a leisurely kayak ride down the New River. Rocky Knob mountain biking park is just five minutes away.
  • This cabin was just the escape we needed. We had every priority met. A hot tub to enjoy after a long walk, a fire pit to sit next to, and our dog was even allowed to join us as well! This tiny home has lots of space and has everything you will need. We are planning to go back in July!

  • This was my absolute favorite airbnb experience I’ve had. The location was perfect and the size was perfect for my boyfriend and I, but you could easily fit more people in the house. We had just about everything we needed, and Stacy and John gave us great recommendations for food and fun around Boone and Blowing Rock. Hot tub and fire pit were extra nice amenities, just make sure you wear shoes getting down there! Even better than the high expectations I had for the place!

    Nuala2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing little cabin! It was in an awesome location to downtown Boone (about 10 minutes away) and near by some hiking trails. We loved how the cabin was nestled away in the mountains providing a very private setting on the porch and hot tub. The inside of the cabin was so warm and cozy, not to mention pretty spotless of any previous visitors. It was great that the cabin was pet friendly and we were able to bring our dog, who had a lot of fun running around outside. Thank you, John and Stacy - We will be back!!

  • My wife and I had a wonderful stay. Hospitality was above and beyond. Will absolutely come back.

  • The best getaway I could have ever asked for! Just like others, super secluded but yet so close to town. This trip inspired me to want a future Tiny Home in the mountains. After staying here, you feel like that’s all you need in life! 10/10 recommend staying here.

    Stephanie2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Stacy and John were wonderful hosts! A few days before we arrived, they sent us a thoughtful long list of recommendations and they were great. The tiny home was super cute and clean. They even wrote a welcome note for us. Loved this place and the amenities it offered!

The "Miss Molly" treehouse has been the subject of many discussions as possibly the best treehouse in the Carolina's. Its a roomy 220 sq. ft and features Heat/Ac, Shower, Toilet, TV and DVD player. It has a very comfortable nook where you can enjoy the TV, a good book, or even take a short nap. The large deck offers a great view over the property and has two rocking chairs as well as a bistro table for eating at.
  • What a wonderful place! The tree houses are magical. We highly recommend this unique get-away! Bring cards or games or movies for the DVD player. Beautiful outdoor amenities. Very inviting swings and fire circles.

Our 128 sq ft tiny house is located on Wildwoods Community Farm, a 4-acre nonprofit permaculture farm and dedicated tiny house community. At Wildwoods, our mission is to educate the public on the various facets of sustainable living. We're also only a short 10-minute drive to downtown Carrboro and Chapel Hill. Whether you come for the experience of staying in a tiny house, or just need a cozy place to lay your head, we'll do our best to make sure that your stay is rejuvenating and memorable :)
____________________________________ **COVID-19 Update: As a superhost, the safety and comfort of my guests is my main priority. I have been following the CDC's protocols for disinfecting a space, and want to reassure guests that I will be very thorough in cleaning and preparing the house for you. I also have a flexible cancelation policy to accommodate changing circumstances. I'm offering a 20% discount to healthcare/relief workers and first responders. Discounts are also available to individuals interested in long term stays of up to one month. ____________________________________ To be able to fit all of the necessities of living into a space that is less than 250 square feet requires careful design and planning. We utilized every square foot in carefully crafting this 128 square foot home that's both functional and beautiful. The home contains a few distinct 'rooms': you first enter into the living room, with an adjustable futon, desk/work space, closet, and a growing book & movie collection. Then you walk back towards the kitchen, with spices, cooking oils, and all the cookware you'd need to make a home-cooked meal for yourselves. The adjacent bathroom contains a toilet and a shower with plenty of hot water on demand. And above you is the wonderfully cozy sleeping loft, with a super comfy queen-sized memory foam bed and window that you can prop open to enjoy the breeze and sounds wafting in from the farm. Undoubtedly, this is a great place to unplug and reconnect with nature: The farm itself is beautiful, and becomes more so every day as we continue to build and cultivate the land. There are also hiking trails just a short walk from the front door. On the other hand, we don't eschew modern conveniences--guests can stay connected on our high-speed fiber wifi :)
There is a lot to explore in this area, but notable attractions in the immediate area are: -Honeysuckle Tea House, serving up teas grown on-site, baked goods, smoothies and occasionally some live music (now open for the season!) -Maple View Farm and Dairy (a local fave for fresh ice cream) -Pickards Mountain Eco-Institute -Keith Arboretum: one of the largest collections of woody plants east of the Mississippi There are also many nice trails and hikes at the nearby Carolina North Forest, and some of the best views in the Piedmont at the Occoneechee Mountain State Natural Area in Hillsborough. For a nice day trip, the nearby town of Saxapahaw (20 min away) on the Haw River is a gem, especially on Saturdays with its bustling farmers' market full of food, music, and activities.
  • Brandon’s place was perfect. Affordable, nicely set up, cozy, comfortable, fully stocked. Written guide on places to eat and things to see. A warm welcome to his property and a nice goodbye. Responds fast, friendly and can tell he cares about the people he has staying at his tiny home!

    Kelsie2020-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great first experience staying in a tiny house! Brandon is a great host - very attentive and responsive - we highly recommend!

    Mark2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Cute place!

    Has2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Brandon is the best host that I have experienced. He is available and made us feel like we were staying in a homely space. So much better than a hotel! It was awesome to experience some tiny living. Only thing I’d clarify from his post is that he uses a septic bucket not a compost toilet. So if you are looking for a humanure experience sorry. Overall Brandon was awesome and we loved our weekend at Wildwoods community farm.

    Erik2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Brandon was one of the most thoughtful Air BnB hosts I’ve ever met! He kindly hosted me and a friend on a last-minute trip and communicated promptly throughout the entire process. The house itself is the tiny home of my dreams— lots of natural sunlight, plants, and a front porch with lounge chairs to rest on during the day or stargaze from at night. Upon arrival, we were met by the two friendliest (wild) neighborhood ducks— an experience that I wish came with all Air BnB homes! Brandon ensured that the home was well-stocked with both toiletry items and kitchen supplements (including coffee, creamer, condiments, tea, snacks). He was available to answer questions about recommendations for hiking and even drew a map for us of one of his favorite trails. We were able to sleep with the windows open (with screens) and fall asleep to the distant chirps of the Spring Peepers as the cool breeze swept through the cabin. I would 100% recommend his place to anyone looking for a cozy, tiny home off the beaten path (but still very accessible to Carrboro/Chapel Hill/the rest of the triangle) and look forward to coming back in the future.

    Meghan2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Brandon's tiny house is amazing! It's incredibly cozy, has all the amenities you'd need, and sits on some really beautiful, peaceful land. Brandon is an exceptional host who showed me around his farm and was nothing short of hospitable. I highly recommend anyone to stay here for a relaxing tiny house experience! I'd absolutely come stay here again.

    Jordan2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Cute, cozy, well organized, and stocked with things to make the stay more pleasant. A+ communication from the host as well as outstanding hospitality. Would definitely stay here again.

Welcome! Our modern suite offers a cozy bed-n-bath combo with private entry from the deck. Watch Netflix on TV from the bed, breathe easy with a diffuser, store leftovers in the mini fridge, and wake up to Keurig coffee in the morning! The memory foam mattress is also new. We are located in a quiet, wooded neighborhood near the “Crossroads” of US-1 and I-40, just a short drive to anywhere in the Triangle. We can give plenty of local recommendations, too. We look forward to hosting you!
We love our house and do our best to make it nice. Everything is newly remodeled. We are happy to provide essentials for your stay - towels, soap, shampoo, hair dryer, etc. Note: the TV has Netflix and YouTube but not cable or other services. The Modern suite also has an electric air unit mounted for both hot and cold air. The remote is in the desk drawer. Please turn the unit off when not in use (like when you go out). The house also has central air, but the electric unit provides extra comfort and control.
Our neighborhood is wooded and peaceful. There is no traffic or roadway noise. Most of the houses were built in the 1970s. Please park in the driveway if it doesn't have other cars or on the street directly in front of the house.
  • Stylish space in a convenient location. This was my second stay here, and I would come back again.

  • This peaceful retreat was just what we needed. The house space is lovely but the real treat is the abundance of outdoor amenities. We had such a wonderful time meeting the animals, exploring the trails, and relaxing on the swing up by the ridge overlook—such a gorgeous landscape. Rock and Kristalyn have put so much love into this property. Definitely one of our favorite stays, we can’t wait to return!

  • This cozy tiny house was perfect for three college students on spring break! The area is so peaceful and beautiful, we especially loved taking a walk in the morning and saying hi to the alpacas and goats :)

  • This tiny home was easy to find and perfect for what we needed! They even left us a “happy anniversary” post card. It was cozy and cute, I wish we could’ve had more time to explore the property.

    Brigitte2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Rock's place. The property is amazing. The lookouts and trails were well maintained and beautiful. The zipline was a hit with the kids, as were the animals and swings.

    Staci2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great space! Peace, quiet, and land to explore in abundance. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

    Jamal2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I rented out the tiny for a weekend getaway. The hospitality was great, and when it snowed, Rock and Kristallyn even shoveled the steps for us. Very close to an awesome animal sanctuary called farmony, also just a short drive to downtown Marshall and only about a half hour to Asheville. Very easy to find, everything was clean and comfortable and we will definitely be back again. There is an amazing tree fort and several awesome views to see on the property.

  • Tim and Carrie were wonderful hosts for our return to Wilmington. They answered all questions and concerns prior to travel and needs during our stay very quickly and kindly. As a former local, I second all their recommendations for the best things to do and places to eat! The hot tub was a wonderful way to unwind after a long day. The hosts were so accommodating and helpful during our stay. 10/10 would stay again and recommend their spaces to anyone looking for a central, stylish place to stay in ILM that is pet friendly.

  • We really enjoyed our stay here! Tim and Carrie were thoughtfully communicative and everything was as described. We were happy to have a comfortable, affordable place to stay while we were in town!

    Paige2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had never use Air BNB before and asked questions before booking. We really appreciate the great communication and how nice they were to answer our questions especially given how last minute our trip was. I don't always sleep well on a bed that is not my own, but we both slept great. This was the perfect size for us and was very clean. And the hot tub was the icing on the cake! We are already looking at when we can go back. :) I would be happy to stay there or in another location of theirs. In case it helps anyone else decide, this location feels very comfortable. And it is a very short drive to go to Wrightsville Beach. Certainly recommend !!

  • The bus is a lot bigger than the pictures show. Julie is very quick whenever something is needed. My bus ride was very late, and we arrived past check out time. Even though it was past 10 PM, Julie still showed my lover & I around the bus and made sure that we knew how to work the gas stove! The outdoor shower is amazing!! The water is very warm and the outside breeze and being surrounded by trees brings peaceful bliss. We have surely enjoyed our experience here. It was a grounding a peaceful experience to take a break from using my phone and being out in the world. Hearing the roosters every morning was really cool. Thanks Julie!

  • The 1953 bus camper is a great experience if you like camping, but also like a comfy bed. The bus gives good shelter, offers plenty of room, and is set amidst the woods close to her house. We found plenty to do in nearby Pittsboro. Julie is an excellent host and we had a wonderful time. A great place to stay if you are adventurous.

Walk back past tall trees, over a small wooden bridge with built-in love seats. Massage tired feet on a polished river-rock shower floor. This rustic 2-story cottage, dating back over 100 years, has whitewashed stone walls and a wood-burning stove.
Gashes Fluss Haus is a 117 year old coach house. The first floor is made of stone.
Surrounded by nature, the home is a short drive to downtown, West Asheville, and the Blue Ridge Parkway.
  • Paul’s place was in a great location and was very comfortable! Easy drive to downtown Asheville. Would definitely stay here again.

    Shane2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect relaxing get away conveniently located to Asheville. Sweet honey of a wood stove made for cozy evenings.

    Arielle2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was the absolute perfect stay for my mom and I! It combined my love for a rustic charm and her need for all the comforts of a 5 star hotel. The decor fits the home perfectly and made us feel right at home. Paul was a wonderful host and available for any and all questions!

    Hannah2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Such a charming abode! The white washed walls, super comfy bed, wood stove - tasteful decor made this cottage perfect for our brief stay in Asheville. The location was perfect - 5-10 min drive to downtown AVL and Paul was super accommodating and available. Would love to stay here again!

    Sarah2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is an incredibly cozy cottage with thoughtfully crafted furnishings. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back when we visit Asheville again. The downtown area is just a short drive with many bars/restaurants for whatever you’re looking for.

    David2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Paul was an excellent host and made check in & check out a breeze. The site was beautifully decorated and the woodstove made for a beautiful cozy stay at a majestic home.

    Drake2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Paul was an excellent host, he greeted us when we arrived and showed us how to use the woodstove, which he already started for us before we arrived. This home makes your feel like a family guest vs a renter, the home was very clean with special touches, like fresh flowers in the kitchen and the bed room sheets that smelled so clean and fresh. The bed was very comfortable, and the bed covers kept us warm during the night. During out stay we took a short drive to Black Mountain and Hendersonville. As short drive from the home was a great place to have dinner.

Seclusion, mountain ranges.... everything you need to let go, this new townhome is 2 blocks from neighborhood eateries, microbreweries, and the tourist center of Black Mountain-Trip Advisor’s Prettiest Small Town in America. We’re intown, yet on a quiet lot of Hemlocks and hardwoods with a private deck/hot tub w/views. We’re 14.6 miles from Asheville, 15 mins from Biltmore. 2 beds: 1 Loft BR (Queen), 1 Sofa bed Queen (common area); Full kitchen/full bath/laundry/1 car pkg
And why it’s different..... IDEAL FOR SOCIAL DISTANCING: Because we’re outside of Asheville, or any other metropolis area where the virus is spreading quickly, we actually have less incidence of the virus here than almost anywhere in North Carolina. Airbnb is sending out a generic message to all guests warning them of “an incident in ‘fill in the blank/your upcoming reservation location’”, whether it’s in a hotspot like NYC, or in an area like ours, that is relatively safe. The reality here is that because we’re somewhat rural, we’re comparatively free from the virus to date. People are still coming and love it because Montreat/Black Mountain is probably one of the best places in the country to social distance: we’re far from the hotspot areas, but close enough to Asheville if you need to go there; restaurants and breweries are still serving (takeout/outdoor seating), and we’re still a vacation wonderland in the midst of the most gorgeous season of the year. LOCATION: The Pinot Cottage is a turnkey experience for vacationing travelers who want to be centrally located, with immediate access to both local and regional attractions. Asheville, the Biltmore Estate, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, Mt Mitchel and the Blue Ridge Parkway are in easy striking distance. But many who come find that Black Mountain/Montreat are the surprise. With a growing reputation as both an outdoor recreation mecca and a town center that supports year round tourism, Black Mountain has become the most visited Asheville satellite (per capita) in the region, while nearby Montreat has some of the most pristine back country hiking and mountain biking trails in WNC. ACCESS: *One block (walkable) to local eateries, neighborhood brewery and “Half Moon Cafe” organic market. *Two doors down from local day spa “Black Mountain Bodyworks” massage and facials. *3 block walk to Cherry Street: shops, museums, boutiques, art galleries, bistros, restaurants, cafes. *15 minutes to Asheville/the Biltmore Estate (14.6 miles). Uber accessible. *1 minute drive to SuperIngles/Starbucks. *5 minutes to the most popular hiking and mountain biking trails in WNC *1 minute walk to the local greenway system-running, walking, biking. WHAT TO EXPECT: I provide coffee and assorted teas along with creamer and sugar....For the kitchen-cooking oils and spices, a slow cooker and everything you need for full meal service and prep. In regards to the house, there is Smart cable TV with Netflix and Prime. There is no smoking or vaping inside, but instead please enjoy your smokes on the private deck. For little ones, there is a high chair, and a Pack n’ Play. For families-cornhole, board games, and books. For those working, a printer and 200 mps WiFi. For everyone else a hot tub at 102 degrees. POSSIBLE DOWNSIDES.... are included in the the House Rules (Guest Waiver) section such as the Construction Refund, possible Guest Surcharges, etc. To access the House Rules (Guest Waiver) return to the main menu window, scroll to the bottom of the page to the MORE DETAILS section, and click on the House Rules and then click on the Guest Waiver. When ready to book, include in your outgoing message, “I have read the waiver and agree.” Thank you.
Black Mountain has it’s own vibe, sort of a combination of Asheville with more traditional small town elements. South Ridgeway Ave is three blocks from the heart of town, so the entire stay can be enjoyed on foot. The town of Black Mountain is a product of the Blue Ridge....thrust onto the national stage alongside of Asheville during the early 1900s, when a 16 hr round trip ticket from the Black Mountain Depot to Mt. Mitchel was the only option for tourists who wanted to visit the highest peaks east of the Mississippi. Today the allure of these mountains continues as Black Mountain has become one of the most visited Asheville satellites in the region.
  • Great spot to stay. Within striking distance of Asheville and Mt. Mitchell. The house is in a nice quite neighborhood.. within walking distance of the town square.

  • Amazing place with amazing views. Highly recommend!

    Ashlea2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • The Pinot Cottage was by far the most well appointed Airbnb that we have stayed at. The Black Mountain area is very quaint & the cottage is within walking distance to most of the town’s eatery’s & shops. Chris is very accommodating & is very helpful should you have any questions. The hot tub on the private deck has a beautiful view of Black Mountain too! Great couples retreat.

    Melanie2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great place in Black Mountain! Clean and stylish. Loved being able to relax in the hot tub in the evenings. Super convenient to Asheville.

    Candace2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location right in the town of black mountain. The place is very clean and the hot tub was perfect for our winter stay. I highly recommend this Airbnb and to visit this area. It’s about 15/20 from downtown Asheville. Chris was quick with responses and provided us with information about the area

    Siobhan2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The Pinot cottage was the perfect place to stay for a weekend getaway in Black Mountain ! We loved that everywhere in downtown was walking distance. The cottage was so well decorated and put together, we also loved the hot tub with the beautiful Mountain View! I would definitely book this place again if I’m ever in black mountain!

    Rachael2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • The reviews speak for themselves, and yet, somehow, this beautiful loft still has to be seen and experienced to be believed! Chris truly has thought of everything to make this awesome loft functional and feel like home. I remember walking in and thinking, "I just wish I had brought some board games!" No worries, Chris had thought of that too! The perfect mountain getaway with short drives to Montreat, Brevard, Asheville or just to enjoy what Black Mountain has to offer - and there's plenty there to keep you occupied! Truly an incredible place to stay!

    Chris2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house with an even better location. Walking distance to nearly everything downtown (check out Luna’s Cafe for breakfast, which is attached to the market down the street - you won’t be disappointed). The hot tub was a great way to relax after snowboarding at Cataloochee. We loved our trip to Black Mountain!

Our yurt (30ft. dia.) is rustic, beautiful, quiet, in deep woods with deck overlooking pond. Great for couples, small families (not childproof). Includes hot tub & Woodland Banners Poetry Walk. Beds are futons. It's warm June-Aug. (no A/C, plenty fans), but way cooler than the city. It's cold Nov.-March (wood stove heat). Mini-fridge & microwave (no kitchen/plumbing). Bath-house is 2-min. walk (toilet, sink, shower). Two minutes to Saxapahaw. Read description for more info. SERIOUSLY NO PARTIES.
This yurt offers an adventure in glamping. The large round canvas structure is sited in the woods, with its own big deck (with fire-pit) overlooking Frog Pond. Inside are electricity, bottled water, 2 beds, wood stove, recliner and plenty of places to sit & chill. The big table is right for dining or doing projects. We offer coffee + coffeemaker (you make) but no breakfast. There's also a mini-fridge, microwave, plates, cups and utensils, fireplace wood. There is wi-fi & plenty books, games & DVDs (no TV; bring your laptop). The yurt is especially enjoyable in the spring and fall, and magically great in the rain. It can get cold in late fall/winter, esp. early morning. If you have a sleeping bag you love, bring it. It will be hot June-August. The space is not childproof, so best not to bring toddlers.
Frog Pond Farm is located about two-and-a-half miles from Saxapahaw, a 200-year-old mill village on the Haw River. Saxapahaw is a thriving tourist destination, offering Saxapahaw General Store, The Eddy Pub, Cup 22 Coffeehouse, Haw River Ballroom, The Bridge Center for Healing Arts, Left Bank Butchery, Saxapahaw Museum, and Haw River Farmhouse Ales brewery. Look them up on the web for current events. Haw River Canoe & Kayak Co. can take you boating on the river, and you can hike the Haw River Trail. For supermarkets or liquor stores, you can drive to Graham (take Hwy 87 north) or to Carrboro/Chapel Hill (take Hwy 54 east); they are both 15 miles from Saxapahaw.
  • Awesome as usual! Just bring a sound maker to mask the Rooster first thing in the morning!

    Christine2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Had a second great stay! My only suggestion is to extend the driveway down. I appreciated the clean towels and loved the animals! Will definitely be back next year!

  • Love it every time!

    Paige2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Unique place to stay nestled in a private wooded property. Great place to get away and relax from the rush of life. I am cold natured and stayed plenty warm with the wood fire and it got down to the 20s at night.

    Michelle2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing! If you have the opportunity to visit, even just for a night, it’s wonderful. Don’t let the cold weather stop you...the wood burning fire place keeps you toasty warm and the hot tub in the freezing cold weather is awesome! I would say we picked the perfect time to stay-no bugs and cold weather for a fire! We had so much fun getting away for a few days here. Steven and Linda are great and we loved the dogs visiting and listening to the sounds of the rooster and geese! We had an unexpected treat of rain on the first night. The sound of the rain on the yurt roof along with the cozy fire and hot tub was so relaxing. We will definitely be returning!

    Candy2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a gem! 3 Minutes from Saxapahaw general store, brewery and ballroom. Every thing we needed was provided. This includes firewood which made our stay surprisingly warm despite temperatures just below freezing. The hot tub was great for a morning soak. Linda has great communication and check in was a breeze. We enjoyed our conversation with the host and look forward to staying at Frog Pond again.

  • Magical little place. Loved our short stay.

    Maria2020-02-15T00:00:00Z

Stay close to nature in a rustic getaway perched on the edge of a wooded property. Listen to wildlife at night from Adirondack chairs. Awaken to birdsong filling the mountain air. Indoors is an ingenious use of space that offers every comfort.
The house is in Haw Creek, a charming and quiet neighborhood five minutes from Downtown Asheville. It's close to trails that access the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway. The Biltmore House, Asheville Mall and other attractions are nearby.

Inspired by the Iroquoi longhouse and Ryan’s off-the-grid childhood, The Roost is an arched tiny home, framed with birch saplings. High atop a ridge, enjoy year-round views of the mountains from the porch. Hike up the ridge or cozy up by the wood stove with a book. Grill out, start a campfire or listen to the sounds of Bee Tree Creek in the hammock. Nightlife, food, coffee and breweries in Asheville and Black mountain are 15 minutes away. It's an hour to Great Smokey Mountains National Park!
THE ROOST A 12’ x 12’ tiny house with a back porch on a ridge. Looking for an alternative place to stay near Asheville? In the winter months light floods the The Roost through three large windows by day, and by night you can enjoy the warmth of candles and twinkle lights. In the summer, leaves cover the canopy, and with screens on all of the windows and a fan you’ll keep cool. The floors are reclaimed mixed wood and decorated with woven rugs. Because of the slope of the ridge the back porch is suspend about six feet off the ground giving visitors the feeling that they’re in a tree house. If The Roost is not available the days your looking for please check out our other Air BnB on the property, The Starling. Sleeping: Inside the longhouse you’ll find a comfortable full mattress that sleeps 2. The Roost can easily sleep a third using our tri-folding memory foam floor mattress. If you want the extra mattress you will need to let us know so we can be sure to bring it up for you. Cooking: We provide an electric hot plate for cooking, electric kettle, a wood stove, a dining table and clean water for drinking and washing up. The kitchen is stocked with plates, bowls, cups, silverware, wine tool, french press, a frying pan and a cooler for your perishables. Outside you’ll find a gas grill and fire pit for outdoor cooking. Showering: The roost has enough water inside for drinking and cleaning up. We do provide a Pocket Shower and a showering platform just outside. Heat water on the stove or fill the shower up with hot water from the spigot on the outside of our main house and then hang it on the designated line and there ya go. You are outside... so you might want to bring a bathing suit but it's not necessary. Below is a link showing the proper use of the Pocket Shower. We’ll also have instructions at the longhouse. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B33xj0tBNxc Bathroom: The board and baton outhouse is just down the trail about 75 feet. We have a great flashlight for you to get around in the dark and the outhouse is fully equipped with toilet paper and hand sanitizer for you. Cell phone and internet: There is minimal to zero cell phone service. If you have a smart phone or computer, WiFi is available by walking about 200 feet over to our main house (hopefully soon we’ll have wifi in the longhouse itself) You can connect to it to make phone calls and send texts through the internet. There is a bench in our clearing you can sit on while using the internet. OUTDOOR ACTIVITY Enjoy twilight from the hammock hanging just outside or light the fire pit and have a drink while you relax. My wife and I are working on a network of hiking trails up "Rhododendron Ridge” where you can walk through forests of hemlock, maple, poplar, chestnut, oak, and of course, the aforementioned rhododendron. SURROUNDING AREAS 15 Minutes to the west in Asheville, and the same to the east in Black Mountain, you’ll find top-notch dining, coffee, music, and nightlife. Plus, Pisgah Brewing Company is less than 7 miles away with live musical performances and incredible brews. The Blue Ridge Parkway and Pisgah National Forrest, packed with hiking trails, is 10 minutes away, and Great Smokey Mountains National Park is just over an hour away. Charles Owen Park is less than 2 miles away with a playground, baseball field, fishing pond, and hiking trails leading through Warren Wilson College. We’ll provide you with a list of our favorite places to eat, drink and hike. Note: The parking space is about 150 feet from The Roost. A path leads you up a 30 foot elevation gain from parking to The Roost. If you arrive after dark you’ll need a flashlight (or cell phone) to get up the trail.
The neighborhood is a quiet country community in the mountains of NC. Bee Tree Road is mostly locals. In the summer you can only catch distant glimpses of other houses through the woods.
  • Ryan & Alyson’s place is a MUST stay if you’re wanting somewhere to stay that is very close to Asheville. Would recommend to anyone that wants to stay somewhere unique & reconnect with nature. Loved every bit of the stay!

    Josie2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • THIS PLACE IS A MUST-SEE! I spent my birthday weekend here and I couldn’t have been happier. The Roost immediately puts you at ease. Lay in the hammock, sit on the back porch, have a romantic fire! Staying in this tiny house was hands down, the most unique AirBnb stay I’ve ever experienced. I can’t wait to go back.

    Bailley2020-03-16T00:00:00Z

    Alex2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was such an amazing spot for our spring break trip! We loved that we could enjoy the views and nature but still take a quick Uber to breweries in Asheville. The Roost was very well equipped with wood for the stove and kitchen tools, even a hammock outside. We will for sure be back!

  • Absolutely beautiful! Can’t wait to return!

    Shiyan2020-03-05T00:00:00Z

Welcome! Our modern "boho" suite is spacious, cozy, and private. In the living room, you can watch Netflix on TV or get some work done at the desk. Then when it's time for sleep, you can move to the bedroom, shut the barn door, and curl up in bed by the fireplace. Wake up refreshed in the morning with our coffee station (Keurig, fridge, microwave, & table). We're located in a quiet neighborhood that's a short drive to anywhere in the Triangle. We can give plenty of local recommendations, too!
We love our house and do our best to make it nice. The whole guest suite is private for you. Everything is newly remodeled. We are happy to provide essentials for your stay - towels, soap, shampoo, hair dryer, etc. Note: the TV has Netflix and YouTube but not cable or other services.
Our neighborhood is wooded and peaceful. There is no traffic or roadway noise. Most of the houses were built in the 1970s. Please park in the driveway if it doesn't have other cars or on the street directly in front of the house.

Welcome to our horse sanctuary. This tiny house is located on our horse rescue farm in Asheville North Carolina. The tiny house comes with a hot tub, a queen bed, a single bed, a full shower with hot water, a real flush toilet, heating and air-conditioning, plus a small kitchenette. Feel free to feed the horses and interact with the barn cat, Zach. We are located about 15 minutes to downtown Asheville, and 10 minutes to West Asheville and the River Arts District.
When you book this listing you are supporting a local hospitality business that pays its cleaners, maintenance staff, and customer service staff like me a living wage. We are locals of Asheville and your patronage goes to support the horse farm and our employees. This tiny house was custom built to support up to three people. There is a loft bed that is a queen size, and another bed on the other wall that is a full-size. We of course provide towels, linens, soap, and shampoo. A lot of tiny houses have a composting toilet, however ours is hooked up to sewer and is fully functional. We have hot water in the shower and a kitchenette to make small meals. We usually have coffee available. The hot tub is behind the privacy fence and is only for guests of the tiny house. We ask that you shower before using the hot tub. We regularly treat and maintain the cleanliness of the water.
We are within a few miles of a grocery store and several good restaurants in Asheville. To get to downtown Asheville is about a 15 minute drive, and it’s about 10 minutes to the very popular West Asheville. Uber is readily available at this location. A tiny house is located on our 10 acre horse farm with other properties that are set up as short term rentals.

  • Outdid my expectations for this place. Seriously comfortable and I felt like I was coming to my own home. The sweetest kitties hang around and the horses in the morning are a nice touch. Everything is super clean and Tom creates a binder with everything you need if it’s your first time. Definitely booking this place again when I come back. ❤️

Equipped with picnic table and ample seating you will enjoy late nights under the stars roasting dinner and dining together around a warm fire. We have made sure to provide firewood for your use, but with all of the rain we have been having, please be sure to keep the wood covered. Enjoy amenities such as internet, propane cooktop with cast iron pan provided, mini fridge and electricity to make your stay as convenient and hassle free as possible. We also have the luxury of a full bathroom, toilet vanity and shower included along with a heater for the chilly winter days. The tipi itself is equipped with both heat and air conditioning (and is fully insulated). Sit back and unwind in our hand crafted reclined chairs and dim the lights on the unique antler chandelier. No worries about the late night, you can enjoy a hot cup of coffee on the porch the next morning after being gently awoken to the natural light and countless singing birds in the canopy of trees you gaze out on. In your city escape you will truly feel like you're in paradise and all within minutes of restaurants, shopping, late night drinks and ample activities for families and couples alike. We have a nice bring a bottle, leave a bottle of wine policy at the tipi. If you open a bottle of wine with the intent to drink it, but do not have a chance to replace it, no worries. We have a $10.00 fee you can place in the wine box for your convenience. We will also happily send you a request if you would prefer to pay for the wine through the Airbnb site instead. But please let us know so we can replace the bottle for the next guest to enjoy! (It really helps us to know to bring the extra bottle during the changeover for next guests! So thanks in advance!) In regards to your furry friends; we will only accept your well behaved dogs with a 30.00 pet fee, the understanding that they are not allowed on the furniture, you are responsible any damages incurred while they are staying at our location and prior discussion with us. Due to the lack of respect of other guests about communicating about our pet policy, if you bring a pet without prior discussion we will charge a 60.00 deep cleaning fee and make sure to note it on your review as a guest. Communication is so important to us, please never hesitate to ask questions or to let us know what your needs are! We strive to make every guest's stay with us to be special and enjoyable retreat. Looking forward to hosting you.
The neighborhood is quaint and neighbors are very friendly although seldom seen as our properties are quite spaced. The roughly 2 mile drive up from Downtown Marshall is a pleasant windy road decorated with wild flowers at the right time of year and pops of beautiful views along the way. You will truly enjoy the drive.
  • A wonderful relaxing getaway!

    Regina2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Such a unique getaway spot! Highly recommend for a private spot outside Asheville

    Angela2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Very unique and delightful place! We just stayed one night as we were passing through on a road trip, but it was a perfect place to get some rest on our route!

    Jill2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • The tipi was well worth the drive. Inside was much bigger than expected and very comfortable. The heaters helped to keep the tipi nice and warm regardless of the weather outside, and everything was nice and clean when we arrived. The fire pit and charcoal grill were a nice touch, although it was too rainy during my stay to put either of them to good use. All in all, we loved our short stay at the tipi and hope to return soon.

    Dillon2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great stay if you want a fun and unique experience!

    Danielle2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • What a neat experience staying in a tipi in the mountains! Enjoyed the fire pit at night and when we woke in the morning it was snowing. We stayed warm with the blankets, heaters and the bathroom has a heater too. Don't pass up this opportunity if it is available.

    Paula2020-03-06T00:00:00Z

If you're looking for a quiet, secluded retreat in the beautiful mountains of WNC, this is the spot! Our cabin is rustic, retro, and romantic. It provides ample river/creek views, immediate access to hiking trails, and is located only 20 minutes from downtown Asheville, zip lining, rafting, skiing, and much more. Plus it's only a few minutes to the quaint downtown of Mars Hill. We happily welcome folks of all backgrounds and identities in our space. No added cleaning/platform maintenance fees!

The pull-out sofa has an exceptionally comfortable memory foam mattress. Linens, blankets, and pillows are provided. There is ample parking space for two vehicles. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, utensils, pots, pans, a coffeemaker, and a few basic items (ie. coffee, tea, salt, pepper, cooking oil). On the deck, there is a small charcoal grill and we can provide charcoal and lighter fluid upon request. There is also a fire pit a few yards away by the river that you are welcome to utilize. Added on 3/15/20: please note that extra care has been taken to disinfect all surfaces throughout the cabin and to thoroughly launder all linens. • Lovely little cabin in the beautiful mountains, 1 bedroom, 1 bath, connected cooking-eating-living space plus front and back patios. Convenient walking trails and right next to a creek, and not too far of a drive to modern conveniences. Great place for a getaway!

    Virginia2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Sweet little cabin in the crook of a mountain creek, with porches/ sitting areas above the water. Ours was a short stay, but there was a nice campfire place and some trails running along the creek banks. Cabin was very clean and cozy on a cold night!

    Lynne2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Booked this as a gift for my parents and they loved it! Unexpected snow and everything was amazing!

  • First time using this place it was the bomb.com

    Donald2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is an outstanding little treasure - simply perfect for two people. The roaring stream next to the cabin is unreal! The location is spectacular (so close to the BR Parkway and Mt. Mitchell), and David is an excellent host. And the place was super clean!

    Jenny2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Sit back on the porch and grill a trout that you caught up the road. Listen to the creeks running water and lose yourself in the mountains! Enjoy the amazing views and the fresh mountain air.

  • Book this cabin while you can, you won’t regret it. The cabin itself is a small cabin, it has a bed and small kitchen, but it’s exactly what you need. The cabin is extremely clean, and there’s covered parking which is a huge plus, and the gas grill on the porch on the creek is amazing. The location is perfect, especially being so close to mount Mitchell and Marion. As far as the host (Dave) he was super nice, his dogs were super kind and he is great about responding and hospitality. A few things happened that were out of his control and he did whatever he could to help us in our stay. Overall it was a great experience and we can’t wait to go back!

    Caleb2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Just go ahead and click book, you won’t regret it! The drive up to the cabin is beautiful. There’s a few tight curves, but not bad at all! Follow David’s directions and it’ll lead you straight to the cabin. You will not have cell service. The cabin has WiFi and works perfectly fine. It is also pet friendly which is a HUGE plus! You may think, ugh pet friendly it’s going to smell like a dirty dog...........you would have no idea that it was a pet friendly cabin. It smells really good and it is super clean! The creek is literally 5 steps from the front door. It is the most peaceful sound to fall asleep to at night and wake up to in the morning. David is an awesome host; he messaged us during our stay to make sure everything was going well and if we needed anything and responds back pretty quick. We arrived late and he had the lights on and heat on for us. He has 4 dogs of his own and they are the sweetest babies! Love them if you get the chance! The cabin is perfectly placed between Asheville and Boone; and you get the winding roads in between if you’re into that kind of thing. Book the cabin, enjoy the creek, love the dogs.

    Shelbi2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean cabin. Great area. Secluded but very close to Asheville, wine vineyards, cute little towns, and beautiful hiking. David was an awesome host and very helpful and super hospitable. It was a perfect “tiny home” for my husband and I to stay in. Thank you so much for this peaceful and relaxing vacation!

    Kayla2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • clean quiet place in the woods, sounds of the creek while you sit on the deck, everything you need to overnight while you enjoy the surrounding area

    Jeff2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • David’s cabin made our trip to North Carolina memorable- it’s nestled peacefully in the mountains adjacent to a stream. Definitely a great place to escape and spend some time in nature. Would recommend to anyone looking for a calm and beautiful place to stay! Would love to come back.

Whether you're here to surf, kiteboard, fish, kayak, beach walk, sightsee or even go horseback riding....we have you covered! Everything is either within walking distance, available on site, or a short drive away. Rodanthe is an amazing part of the island and centrally located on the Outer Banks! Being that it's the smallest section and directly next to the wildlife refuge, the beaches are a lot less crowded than the beaches north in Nags Head or south in Avon. There are a few restaurants (only 1 late night bar) and other conveniences nearby but outside of that, the island is quiet and relaxing. If you are here for kiteboarding, Hatteras Island Sail Shop (HISS) is down the road, Barton and his son Reider are hands down the people to see if you're looking for lessons or anything surf/kite, they will give you a great value and a more personal experience. Special discount to our guests on lessons and rentals with HISS making this the best deal on the island for kiteboarding lessons! Watermans/REAL is about 2 miles away. They have live music nightly and a restaurant in the summer along with a great sunset view. There are a few other local restaurants within walking/biking distance and all locally run. Hatteras Lighthouse is a 30 minute drive away and the Bodie Lighthouse is 20 minutes away. You can ride horses on the beach in Buxton only 30 minutes away or you can get a surf lesson by your host, Jeremy, with given notice before your stay.
  • This place exceeded my expectations by a long shot its absolutely beautiful the beach is so close and Dawn and Jeremy are so nice! Will most definitely be back and not only is Dawn's family amazing so is everyone here in town! I cant say enough about how absolutely incredible our stay was!!

    Kirstin2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • This super spacious cottage was perfect for my family of 5 (one of us is furry with paws!) We met Jeremy and he was super informative about what to expect with the area and made us feel welcome and comfortable staying next to his family home. Having access to the beach right across the street allowed us to spend every single day there. The outdoor shower right outside the cottage was perfect for cleaning up after each beach day. We checked out Cape Hatteras light house, the Salvo Sound area, and different beach spots. The local restaurants were tasty but pricey! I would absolutely recommend Dawns place to anyone and definitely plan on coming back! Thank you guys again!

    Briana2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Dawn's place is a FANTASTIC place to stay! It's perfect for two people, looking to get away and relax. Rodanthe is pretty much mid-way down the outer banks and is in a perfect location. Exactly what you'd expect from the quaint, windswept dunes and perfect sand beaches. Not a lot of hustle and bustle but that is exactly what we wanted. Dawn is VERY responsive and was full of great suggestions! HIGHLY recommend this property!

    Steve2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful area and this is a great place to stay. Close to the beach for convenience. Comfortable living space.

    Tim2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • I couldn't have asked for a better host or location! My boyfriend and I were in need of a break from city living, and Dawn's beach "shack" was the perfect spot. It was cozy and comfortable, and just steps from the Atlantic and the Sound. Dawn is fantastic - and couldn't have been more understanding and hospitable when the weather threw us a few curve-balls. We hope to be back soon!

    Audrey2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay! We enjoyed the location being only steps from the beach and not far from some restaurants and shops. The amenities were very nice with provided beach chairs, outdoor shower to remove sand, and a nice pool. Overall a great value for the location. We especially loved being greeted by Miss Kitty when we headed out to explore the area each day. Highly recommend.

Peruse the ornaments and furniture from around the world that fill this unique space in a laid-back, walkable area. The flat is accessed through a serene, private garden, a lovely spot to sip local coffee in the morning serenaded by birdsong.
This fun and brand new space was designed with comfort in mind. The living area has 2 comfy chairs, a coffee table adorned with beautiful books and a small dining table. Although the kitchenette is small it has every thing you need to cook a meal from an induction burner to a toaster oven. Can't decide if you want espresso? A french press? A one cup Keurig? Have them all! There is also cinnamon and nutmeg for sprinkling. I provide yummy snacks like popcorn with black truffle salt, filtered cucumber water in the fridge, lime infused ice cubes (perfect for gin and tonics) complimentary beverages and light breakfast. This space is exclusive to our guests so open the drawers and cupboards, we are sure you will find what you need. The bathroom is appointed with a full medicine cabinet, organic bath products, hairdryer and a hot towel warmer for makeup removal. The bedroom has a queen bed with a pillow top, pillow covers, Allergin mattress cover and high quality linens. There is no shortage of blankets or pillows! Bedroom also has a smart tv with Netflix, a writing desk with a printer for our business travelers and a cozy sitting nook. The nightstands are stocked and there are nightlights to help you find your way in the dark. There are blinds and darkening shades, as well as a sound machine for blissful sleep. In the closet there is a fan, full length mirror, iron, ironing board, hand sanitizer, games and plush robes. There is a guidebook filled with all of our favorite local joints and free maps for you to take as you navigate our lovely little city. Our goal is for our guests to leave happier and more relaxed than when they arrived.
Beautiful north Asheville is a quiet, safe neighborhood within walking distance of the historic Grove Park Inn for a drink in front of one of the great fireplaces or on the veranda. Make the short walk to the local brewery and popular restaurants.
  • My boyfriend and I stayed here after a few days of back country camping in the Pisgah Forest. It was so nice to have such a luxurious apartment after being out in the woods! Traci and Travis were very helpful and kind. There were a lot of thoughtful considerations and touches that made our stay feel like home. We look forward to visiting again soon

    Amanda2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed for just one night but it was perfect! There was obviously a lot of thought and care put into creating the space. One of our favorite parts of the stay was lying in bed with our coffee in the morning and watching the birds at the bird feeder.

    Sarah2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Studio 21 was the perfect getaway in Asheville! The neighborhood is stunning, 10 minutes to downtown, & has the perfect outdoor area! Traci went above & beyond for our one night visit making cupcakes for my husbands birthday! He was so surprised! The decor in Studio 21 was adorable & welcoming. We had a drink on the patio before heading out to dinner & it was so relaxing! We will be back again!

    Brittany2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Traci’s Studio was fantastic! So many thoughtful amenities and a great location close to downtown and walking distance to the Grove Park Inn. The fresh cookies and stocked fridge were above and beyond anything I’ve had at other Airbnbs. Highly recommend and would stay again!

    Abby2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect stay. Host really goes the extra mile.

    Tauni2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first experience with an Airbnb and it could not have been any more perfect than it was. The apartment was absolutely beautiful from the view to the inside of it as well. While we did not get a chance to meet Traci, she clearly went above and beyond to ensure that the stay was up to par. Which it was definitely above that. I would absolutely recommend this Airbnb & will certainly be back to visit :)

    Dominique2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • I would stay here again if I come back to Asheville. Clean, organized, and very easy (10 min) driving to downtown. Amenities were top notch. There’s no stove, but there was a toaster oven. Keep in mind this house is partitioned, and even though you are renting a private space and separate entry, you are renting a piece of the owner’s house where they live, and will be sharing a parking area.

    Nate2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place was amazing. It was better than any hotel. It was cozy and perfect and I wouldn’t have changed a single thing. Thank you for everything Traci!

Come get away from it all—while conveniently located close to everything—at Laurel Branch Gardens, a 12-acre family farm that uses organic growing practices. About 100 yards from the farm house, the cabin is a old tobacco barn fully renovated to include a sleeping loft, full kitchen, bathroom, and living area. Meet the pigs, chickens and goats. Lay in the hammock. Listen to bird calls outside your windows. Practice social distancing in a serene natural setting.
While you’re here, we hope that you'll explore the farm—including a visit to the pigs, goats, and chickens and the trails around the property that lead to Laurel Creek. Or, just come for the great location. Everything is accessible from here: we’re 12 minutes from the airport, 10 from Falls Lake, 20 from downtown Durham and Research Triangle Park, and 25 from downtown Raleigh. For whatever reason you find yourself here, we’ll welcome you with a basket of seasonal produce from our farm (all pesticide-free) and a comfortable and clean space where surfaces are disinfected between guests. All guests welcome! Two medium-sized dogs also call the farm home; both are very loving and likely to come say hi at some point. Please note that, as pictured, a bed and futon are always available. We also have an air mattress and high quality camping pads that can be used when more sleeping spaces are needed; just let us know! We also have spaces for tent-camping if your group wants to spread out. We are happy to host small and medium dogs at the cabin (we are unable to host guests with cats). If you would like to bring a dog, please indicate this in your initial message. There is a $50 non-refundable fee for dogs.
We are in a rural area right on the edge of Durham County. Surrounded on three sides by forests, our farm feels secluded but is also convenient to restaurants, a movie theater, and shopping-the closest of which are less than 10 minutes away. Peaceful is one of the characteristics our guests use most often to describe our farm.
  • We had a great time at Robyn’s place. The cabin is very cozy and had everything we needed. Hope to be back soon!

  • What a hidden “little 💎 Gem” such a simple but perfect weekend get away spot for couples. Rekindle Flames 🔥 Relax Disconnect from everyday hustle and bustle! Just what the doctor ordered. I Loved the visiting with the animals, reading the local books, sitting on the porch, cooking the fresh eggs, sitting by the outdoor fire pit, sitting on the couch with NO TV, and swinging on the rope and tire swing! Wish we had one more full day to play disc golf! I can’t wait to visit AGAIN, SOONER than later....

  • Robin’s place was a home away from home for our girls. I couldn’t have been more comfortable with their hosts who looked after them while in NC. Thanks for your TLC.

    Selma2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Me and 3 friends visited for a few days during our spring break from grad school and loved this place! Much more than just a place to lay our heads, the farm is an experience in itself. We loved the country feel, the small cabin homey-ness, and the property with the animals. I brought my dog and she was free to roam the farm, loving the freedom and fresh air. The location was perfect for some city exploring of either Raleigh or Durham while still having the relaxing setting of the country. Would definitely recommend this place!

    Jen2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our family spent a relaxing, amazing weekend at the cabin! Check in and out were easy and informative. Robyn & Evan were wonderful hosts! The cabin had everything we needed with a great view, comfortable bed and beautiful rustic touches. Our daughter truly enjoyed playing with the children and visiting with the pigs, chickens and goats. We'll be back in the Summer! Thanks for a great weekend and wonderful memories!

    Mallory2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Incredibly cozy and homey nestled in an exemplary farm when considering sustainability. Really impressed with how private the space felt even though the cabin was on a working farm’s property. Amenities were more than adequate, bed was very comfortable, and the amount of natural light that came into the cabin really took the cake for us.

    Brendan2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place is really what we were looking for. Quiet, beautiful, pieceful, cute, magnificent, splendid, stunning, lovely! Name it all, I got nothing to say negative about this place. We met the whole family including the pigs, goats and dogs. They are all super friendly, the kids are very cute too ☺️. We wish we had stayed longer!! If you are looking for a rustic cabin get away, this is the perfect place 🙏

Budget accommodations in a 900-square-foot duplex home on a quiet street in downtown Raleigh, steps away from Red Hat Amphitheater, Duke Performing Arts Center, Raleigh Convention Center and Shaw University. *NO Cleaning Fee* No need for a car, as you can walk to all the above places in 10 minutes or less. Union Station, Museums and State Capitol are all within 20 mins walking. All the restaurants and bars downtown has to offer are a short walk away.
**While nice enough, clean and with everything you need, this is budget accommodations walking distance to downtown. It is homey and safe, but still an old low-income house. This is not a hotel or luxury accommodations. I simply wanted to provide a place for people on a budget that want a place to themselves with a kitchen right in downtown Raleigh and don't need a new modern place. In these terms, there is no better deal! But please adjust your expectations (and read about 'The Neighborhood' section before booking).** The outside may not look so pretty as it is an old government housing duplex from 70's but the inside has been renovated and rebuilt 20 year ago, doesn't look new or modern but is well-maintained. It is clean and tidy, with nice beds and furnishings, but it is simple and still an old house. The kitchen is equipped for cooking, but simply so the basics but nothing fancy. A/C is strong for those hot days. Wi-Fi is very fast. Shower pressure is good and water gets very hot...
The neighborhood was government housing decades ago (hence bars on some windows), but the block has been bought by a developer and the house interiors restored. The block I'm on is largely gentrified, but the blocks around it are still very much lower-income housing. If you aren't comfortable being close to poorer neighborhoods, I would suggest not staying right in downtown or getting a hotel. It is next to Shaw University so you will see college kids. The State Farmer's Market is a couple miles away, open daily, and is a lovely resource for fresh produce and ingredients. The famous Pullen Park is also 2 miles away and an amazing place.
  • Every thing is legit as seen in the picture. The only thing is the area might throw some people off.

  • Dope place! 10 minute walk to downtown. Philip was very accommodating and polite. Highly recommend.

  • Phil’s house was the perfect place for a weekend getaway.

    Lauran2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Come prepared with toiletries like soap & toothpaste... besides that-This place is pretty perfect. The location is great & very walkable. I felt completely safe and did not have one bother. Philip was very quick in his responses to any questions I had. The house was comfortable & accommodating. Anyone complaining about the location is just uncomfortable being around unfamiliar black people. But if it makes you more comfortable, the neighborhood is “up and coming” AKA being severely gentrified :)

    Acacia2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Very good I was pleased

    Joshua2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • I would have to agree with another review on here, I personally wouldn't walk to downtown in this neighborhood however it is only a $5 or $6 uber to downtown this place is perfect visiting downtown and the host is great with communication.

    Nikolaus2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Philip was a great host! Quick to respond and even greeted us via message the next morning to make sure our first night went well! I enjoyed the stay and would stay here again!

Treehouse: a beautiful sanctuary nestled on 13 acres in a private gated community. Never before available to stay until now! Engineered with the highest safety standards in mind, it is truly a home away from home. An excellent place for couples, families, or even large groups to stay and sleep inside or out. Conveniently located only 15 minutes from downtown Asheville and The Asheville Airport. We hope you appreciate it as much as we do!
Located in a private community on 13 acres, with your very own gate, you can rest assured no one will be disturbing your stay. Included but not pictured, will be a full size luxury mattress that can be laid on the floor if the reclining couch or upstairs beds are too cramped. It should be noted that the upstairs beds can comfortably sleep 1 person in each that is about 5' 8". (Generally meant for small adults or kids) The couch is very comfortable and lengthy, and inflatable full mattress will be the next best option for adults. Additionally, you are welcome to bring tents to camp on the wrap around deck or down below deck. On a clear night the stars will take your breath away. There is currently construction at the entrance but it should not affect your stay! Also, during the cold winter months the shower is inoperable because the water lines freeze. However, we offer our house if you wish to use the facilities.
Private gated community, however we have our own gate and offers near complete privacy
  • Perfect place to go if you have a dog! So much room for them to run around and the large fire pit was just what we needed to get away under the stars.

  • The s’mores equipment was very thoughtful and was a blast around the campfire. We loved watching Marmaduke on our projector, and the sleeper sofa was easy to use. The space in total was very cozy and we had an amazing night in Fletcher. Thank-you!

  • Neat experience in a tiny house-type space! Beautiful setting!

    Greer2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Family of 4. Had a 6 and a 4 y/o. We loved it. Loved making a fire each night and making s’mores that were provided in the treat kit. We went to both Asheville and chimney rock among other great places. Perfectly located in the middle of all the great areas. I’m used to camping, but my wife needed a little extra touch of home. She loved it and so that is saying a lot. The boys took the bunks and we slept on the air mattress. A nice theater movie every night before bed. Great stay!!

  • It was a pleasure to have Ian as a host. He was very accommodating and quick with communication. We had a wonderful time at the Treehouse! Thanks, Ian!

    Zach2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time! Ian was an awesome host and was very helpful and responsive when we had a question. We loved making smores in the fire pit and used the grill to make dinner one night. The location was perfect to enjoy Asheville for the day and check out some of the local breweries.

    Haley2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This property was a nice little get-away with my wife right after the holidays. It was conveniently close to Downtown Asheville but felt like it was far enough to appreciate the nature that Asheville has to offer. Our favorite part was just sitting next to the bonfire making s’mores!

    Joshua2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse was a great touch to our Asheville experience! The movie set up was prime. I wish sleeping arrangements were a little more accommodating for larger people, but overall an amazing experience. A definite recommendation.

Sweet, private apartment in the trees. Large windows all around make you feel like you're sleeping in the treetops. A perfect, quiet, secluded space for couples or solo travelers. Ten minutes from downtown Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway, twenty minutes to Black Mountain or the Biltmore Estate, and a stone's throw from Warren Wilson College. There is no wifi or air conditioning. Stop now if you have to have those things!
The Treehouse has lovely hardwood floors, huge windows, a queen bed, a kitchenette stocked with essentials, and a bath featuring handmade tile. Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck, surrounded by birds and fresh mountain air.
You will be next door to my house (as you're on the top floor of the garage) and you will also be able to see the neighbor's in winter months house. Otherwise it's woods all around.
  • Our stay in the treehouse was absolutely magical & Ellie was so thoughtful and easy to stay in touch with! Everything we needed was there. Completely exceeded our expectations! Can’t wait to come back 💘

  • This was such a cute, relaxing spot and Ellie was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

    Ashley2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I found Ellie’s place on a whim because we planned a super last minute trip and wanted somewhere not too expensive and cute! This place is the real deal. It is so so so precious and pretty! Ellie left us tea and snacks on the bed with a really lovely note, which was so considerate and hospitable. It truly has been our favourite Airbnb that we have stayed in from the beautiful little fairy lit porch to the cows down the road singing along! We wish it was closer so we can go and stay all the time! Thank you Ellie!!

    Roxy2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Super clean and stylish, this is the perfect place to get the experience of being out in the wilderness without having to go too far. Host was great and responsive.

    Dan2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! 10-12min from Asheville, about 25-30 from some great hikes in Montreat. Private, cozy spot she has! We stayed in winter so we could see the sunrise over the mountain ridge, I presume when there’s leaves on the trees you can’t see that but you would feel like you are in a treehouse! Ellie was very responsive and available if we needed anything. Highly recommend

Welcome to our (320sf/29m) rustic 'stuga'. We live 20 minutes from Asheville and 7 minutes to the quaint river town of Marshall. Folks love our place for the homemade character of the cabin, mountain views and interesting farm setting. It is perfect for couples or a single traveler seeking minimalist simplicity. Doggies welcome too! Un-plug in style while enjoying proximity to major sights, with starry night skies and a sunrise over our orchards and gardens.
Rustic elegance. Our cozy cabin is two-stories tall, on top of a hill overlooking our 'home hill' of 2.5 acres covered in young fruit shrubs and nut trees. On the first floor is the kitchen, small dining area and porch. Upstairs is a full-size bed and reading nook with mtn views. The kitchen is stocked with cookware, an electric burner, spices, oil, and a water heater (for coffee or tea), small fridge, and drinking water. The water system is rustic, but it works well. Fill up your own water from the spigot nearby. The cabin has an outhouse a short walk away, but no shower or bath. In cold weather, there is a space heater and a Turkish wood cookstove, the cabin is tight and heats up easily in winter. There's a garden fence that doubles as a pet enclosure (Yes, your doggies are welcome!) a fire ring for enjoying the nighttime out-of-doors and 3 miles of interesting walks and steep trails around the neighborhood that we have developed. We are slowly building an outhouse & seasonal bathhouse close to the cabin. People have booked our cabin for romantic getaways, for personal writing and music retreats but mainly for it's awesome proximity to hiking and culture. Many folks come to get a feel for staying in a tiny home and for it's interesting array of plants.
The neighborhood is rich with interesting people and projects, including an artisan cheese dairy and the 'Prama Institute and Wellness Center'. Geoff is an agro-forester who has helped develop most of the trails and planted fruit and nut trees around the neighborhood. You may notice that we are building a second larger guesthouse with attached greenhouse This is a great weekend getaway for people wanting to get away from the city, enjoy a taste of Asheville, read and write, or become engaged to their partner (twice happened!) Dogs are welcome and we are an affordable option to host small 40+\- person wedding ceremonies and receptions.
  • Perfect place to come and unplug!

  • This cabin is a great place to come and chill out. Enjoy beautiful landscapes and sounds of nature, as well as the novelty of a quaint cabin!!

    Marisah2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • My girl friend and I had a wonderful time escaping for the weekend. It was a cold weekend, but we were able to keep the cabin cozy with the wood stove. The property is beautiful and a wonderful retreat. I brought my dog with me, she truly enjoyed the fenced property exploring all of the unique smells and basking in the afternoon sunshine. We were impressed with the composting toilet and its ease of use, we were both curious how we would like it during our trip. It's a bit of a hike from the house at night, but easy enough. It'll be great when the outhouse by the cabin is finished for guests convenience. Everything was clean and as expected. We can't wait to visit and un-plug again!

    Charity2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • A quaint and peaceful cabin tucked in the North Carolina mountains makes for a true unplug and relax experience. There’s lots to do locally and the wood burning stove was a true treat to use on the snowy, cold night we stayed. It was perfect for keeping the cabin warm and cooking on- we didn’t need the space heater that was provided. It was a nice treat and getaway.

    Megan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This cute little cabin was an amazing getaway! It was so cozy and even though it was tiny, it felt so spacious! It was so peaceful and beautiful, especially in the morning when the hills were covered in fog and the birds were singing.

    Denise2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The hilltop cabin is adorable and the views are wonderful. Not only can you see the mountains from the kitchen table, but if you walk just a bit up the hill to the left of the cabin you'll have an even better view. The cabin was clean, easy to find, and stayed warm all through the night.

Built in 2010, Waterfall Cottage provides a romantic, comfortable, rustic retreat space in the woods perched just above a magical flowing mountain stream. Drive only 15 minutes into Asheville, 7 to 10 minutes from hiking, restaurants, and grocery shopping.
Our beloved Waterfall Cottage is perfect for an individual or couple who wish to experience the best of both worlds, the peaceful zen of the woods with two mountain streams coming together on our property (directly off of the back deck of the cottage) as well as being within 15 minutes driving distance to both downtown Asheville and Black Mountain (where you will find great abundance of amazing restaurants, shopping, nightlife and other attractions). We do not consider the cottage to be a "tiny house" since it is roughly 330 square feet in size. In the main room, there is a queen-size bed as well as a small living space with a futon plus table/chairs for 2 people. Also, there is a full bathroom (from which you will have a view of our small waterfall), and a cozy galley kitchen (for simple food preparation). Your own private back overlooks the water. The cottage is located on one acre of land in the Buckeye Cove Community of Swannanoa (between Asheville and Black Mountain). The "main house", where my husband Jason and I live, sits about 50 feet from Waterfall Cottage. If you like, you may also meander along the woodland path which we created along the perimeter of the property. We are eager to share our little piece of paradise with likehearted souls! NOTE: -To get to Waterfall Cottage, you will drive a half mile on an unpaved road. While there is a small amount of incline in spots and the road is not always in the best of condition, you do not need a special type of car to get to us. I personally drive a small Prius(not an all wheel drive car). The only time when driving in our neighborhood becomes problematic is when we are dealing with significant snow accumulation on the road. -Many guests at Waterfall Cottage are not able to get a signal on their cellphone. Usually driving a short distance out of our cove will restore your cellphone signal. Wifi is available in the cottage, so if you have Wifi Calling available as part of your cell phone service, you may be able to make calls/send texts this way. Also provided: -Sheets/Towels -TV with Roku including Netflix and live broadcast TV via Spectrum -Air conditioning : a stand alone unit, which cools this smaller space down efficiently -Heat: a space heater plus electric baseboard heat if needed -Refrigerator (medium-size with a separate small freezer compartment) -Coffee maker(fresh local coffee and tea selection provided) -Toaster oven and Microwave oven -Blender -Two electric NuWave brand burners for cooking -Basic cookware/cooking utensils -Flatware service for 4 people, glasses, mugs, etc. -Standard staples such as dishsoap, handsoap, cooking oil, sugar/honey, salt/pepper. Jason and I have been practicing massage therapists in the Asheville area since 2001. For an additional charge, you can also book a single or couples massage with us for during your visit. Massage sessions will take place on-site in Waterfall Cottage. Massage therapy rates are: $75 per 70-minute session ($150 for couples massage) $100 per 90-minute session ($200 for couples massage) (We prefer that massage sessions are scheduled ahead of time before your arrival if possible.)
  • The Waterfall Cottage is a cozy and gorgeous escape. The hosts' property is beautiful and super close to Asheville, making it very convenient.

  • Excellent little cabin with everything you need for a comfortable stay as well as beautiful surroundings! Liz greeted us when we arrived and gave us some great tips on hikes and things to do in the area. Super convenient location with a short drive to downtown Asheville while still feeling a little "away from it all". Highly recommend!
