Tiny house "Arabella" sleeps max. 4 people, featuring a fully-operational kitchen and outdoor gas barbecue. It includes a combustion heater inside for the chilly evenings and an air conditioner for warm summer nights. An outdoor fire pit awaits toasted marshmallows using the surrounding twigs, while the outdoor bathtub is enclosed in its very own glass cube to help you connect with the natural surroundings. Remote getaways to beautiful, natural landscapes don’t get much more luxurious.
Our tiny house "Arabella" is set on a 140-acre property on the edge of the Cambewarra Ranges, at a former dairy farm named Cloudbreaker Falls, located two hours’ drive south from Sydney and Canberra, and 15 minutes outside the township of Kangaroo Valley. Hidden in a forest clearing surrounded by tall dense bushland, Arabella is an idyllic escape set amongst abundant wildlife and pristine natural surrounds with numerous vantage points within walking distance to view the valley below. Abundant wildlife includes Wombats of all shapes and sizes, a few families of echidnas, Kangaroos at dawn and dusk, endless Kookaburras and other birds, and an inquisitive mischievous Lyrebird named David (who mimics everything from a chainsaw to a rhythm and blues harmonica). There’s a dam stocked with native yabbies (beautiful eating if you can catch them) and frogs (probably less so – but we haven’t yet tried) and frequent visits from the neighbouring farmer’s sheep and cows. • Such an amazing place where we were able to immerse ourselves in nature and turn our minds off from technology. Highlights were the beautiful bathroom, the wombats at night (so shy and cute), and the visit from the pigs and donkeys in the morning. Thank you for sharing your place with us!

  • What a magical place - we got the best of both worlds with some beautiful sunny and clear mornings and some gloomy, cloudy mornings up the top of this mountain, hidden in the bushes. We were also lucky to visit after a big rainfall, with the grass all lush and green and the flowers blooming. Such a tranquil spot, especially with the stunning bathroom. The bed was super comfy, especially for a loft, and the deck was the perfect place to sit with some gin. Phillip and Arabella were hilarious to deal with, such wonderful people who informed us all about the Kangaroo Valley Show and helped us with some great local tips. We even got to feed their pigs! Will definitely be returning, but probably with a 4WD to get up that steep driveway.

  • MAGICAL. It’s hard to find words to describe this gem of a place. To say we LOVED our stay here is an understatement. What a place; from the most incredible smartly designed cabin, to the most thoughtful, beautiful little touches (the books, the games, the quality speaker, side lamp), the most amazing, cutest fireplace. Very well stocked little, functional kitchen which pretty much has everything you could think of. Just bring the food and you find all the necessary appliances and kitchenware. The cabin is a dream, but the bath is another whole level, surrounded by the bush. Just magical. We wish we could stay there forever. The beautiful, peaceful, and incredible sound of nature was a bliss. And Philip and Arabella, both so welcoming, kind, hospitable, and communicative. Always available to help, they came up under heavy rain and helped us a good few times. If you’re thinking of a place to spend some time away from the hustle and bustle of the city, THIS is your place. Book it in. We loved it and we can’t wait to go back. Thank you so much Philip and Arabella for the most amazing stay.

  • Wow! There’s no short way to express just how amazing this place is! Will most definitely be coming back again. It’s just one of those places where you need to see it to believe it.

    Megan2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot say enough good things about the cabin. If you are in need of a real unplug, you can’t beat this spot. The place is super clean and has all the essentials you need for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend visiting!

    Alex2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing lil getaway spot! Def set the car trip metre, google maps only takes you 2kms in.

    Nicole2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Simply breathtaking. It’s been a while since we found somewhere so genuine and pure for a weekend getaway. A timeless, rustic feel that has everything you need. If you want to escape to the country and get away from the world, this is the place. The night stars were so breathtaking and sitting by the fire was just divine with hills all around you and cows talking to you in the distance. Even the kids were happy with no technology. 10/10. Just perfect.

    Sarka2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The location is private, remote and spectacular and the cabin offers a wonderful opportunity to experience it in a simple uncomplicated way - it evokes a pioneering spirit and is a wonderful place to simply enjoy some peaceful time while gazing at the panoramic landscape with its ever changing weather patterns.

    David2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • 5 stars is not enough, I would give 11 stars. Vanessa with her quick respond will make sure you will enjoy your stay. The place itself, OUTSTANDING in so many ways. We only stay for one night, it was rainy night and misty morning. but it's still magical. We definitely come back, maybe for another 365 nights, 😛. Thanks Vanessa.

    Rahmatyas2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Prepare for the view to be better than it looks, and the grass to be amazingly green and lush. The living space is rustic and charming, don't expect luxury, rather a simple comfort which draws attention to experiencing the location and view. No matter what the weather, it is still a wonderful place to be. I like to bring a few utensils for cooking in case something is missing, but the gas bbque is large and has a lid to use as an oven, plus ring burner, and the esky which runs off the solar is efficient and keeps temps at 1 to 2 degrees. Shower is hot and generous, and loo is with a view! Just behind is the rainforest which is spectacularly alive with all sorts of birds, in fact birds and cows are about all there is to break the silence. Love it!

    Karen2020-02-21T00:00:00Z

You have front row seats to find peace and visual delight as the beauty of the bush reserve meets the Pacific Ocean. Watch the sun rise and the moon illuminate the ocean. Watch the whales go by. This truly is the perfect couples retreat. The Copa Cabana is a free standing residence, situated on the front half of a block which houses a second dwelling behind and completely separate from the Cabana.
A quiet and beautiful self contained split level bungalow with pool and ocean views.
The beach! Copacabana has one of the greatest costal town setups around. "Down the hill", or the shop area has multiple convenient stores like a general store, a bakery, a bottle shop, a few lovely cafes, a restaurant or two and of course a fish and chips shop. Other amenities include a playground located just behind the shops, a fire station, a skate park and surf life saving club as well as a whale watching platform. There's also a spectacular lookout just down the road from the property which is well worth the 2 minute walk. It's easy to get parking at Copa beach. Not like Sydney.

  • An absolutely beautiful place with everything you could ask for. It exceeded all our expectations - especially the views, massage chair, and hot tub.

  • Can definitely say that this was one of the best stays I’ve ever had! The view was absolutely amazing and the place was exactly how it was pictured in the photos, but better in person of course! We loved the hot tub & the massage chair! Felt right at home as soon as we entered, everything was perfect.

JR's EcoHut is nestled high on a hill with 360 degree views of the beautiful Murrambidgee river flats and of the stunning Kimo valley. Perfect for couples, this glamping experience is really something special. Totally off-grid it makes efficient use of solar power to provide light and water. The stunning shower even has a killer view and with no neighbours for several kilometers you are all on your own. Kimo is a working 7000 acre farm. Breakfast included.
The architecturally designed jut is made of local timber, steel and galvanised iron and stands out yet is at one with its surroundings. The view wraps around you and you are in the landscape day or night. There is nothing like this in the world.
Stunning part of the world where the flats of the west rise up to meet the mountains of the east.
  • Architecturally designed and well thought-out. Wow what a wonderful and spectacular place this is... perfect for the cooler climes, a cosy fire, beautiful linen, hot hot shower, tea, coffee and real milk! A selection of locally grown beverages and the most amazing ready-to-cook breakfast of my wildest dreams. Little light pollution means a dazzling sky at night. All the little touches make it definite ‘value for money’ and I can’t say I’ve stayed in better accommodation in all my travels. Well done to the owners of JR’s Hut and Kimo Estate. You made our trip!!

  • One of the most romantic places i've ever been in my life. The views are incredible and to have such a place to ourself was just a wonderful experience!! 5 stars and we will definitely be back!!

    Silvio2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The place was stunning! Any issues were resolved quickly and the hosts were very helpful and friendly. A thoughtful breakfast is provided and the sheets were soft and clean. Friendly Tip: it is off the grid so no microwave or toasters etc are provided but there is a stove top outside to cook on. We went at the time of a good old Australian heat wave and struggled to stay cool. The fan is battery powered so didn’t last us long. There is a public pool nearby but probably think of ways to cool yourself before getting there (eg. portable fans, etc). We definitely will be going again but hopefully at a cooler time! Thanks again Michelle and Collin!!

Relax in the beautiful warmth of a unique strawbale cottage after spending the day enjoying the stunning natural beauty of the Blue Mountains. Situated in Leura but backing onto bushland, you'll adore the cosy atmosphere and comforts in this home away from home.
The Strawbale Cottage is a north-facing, split-level, open-plan design. It is filled with natural light during the day, and looks out over natural bushland. It is earth rendered and the majority of the materials are sourced from demolition yards or scavenged. It has a slow combustion fireplace that heats the whole space. Everything you need to light a cosy fire is supplied, including kindling, firewood, firestarters and matches. There are also two portable electric heaters for use as back up. *Please note: we would like to notify our guests that there are building works currently occurring next door on weekdays only. This does not impact our weekend guests. There may be some noise on weekdays between the hours of 7am and 4pm (on some days there is no noise and/or no one on site, on other days there is some noise). The building works are not visible from the cottage and do not impact on privacy but we would like to be upfront about it so guests are aware before booking.* The sleeping area consists of a queen sized bed (equipped with an electric blanket) on the upper level and a single bed tucked around the corner under the loft. There is a small clothes hanging rack. The bathroom, which is also on the upper level is a full sized space consisting of a beautiful restored recycled claw foot bath/shower. Great for a long soak. There is also a front loading washing machine and a clothes dryer in the bathroom. There is a ladder that leads to a loft area which is currently set up as a reading/relaxing space. It gets a lot of afternoon sun and is a great place for a bit of a nap. The Cottage has been well stocked with books. There are lots of fiction and reference books, mostly on gardening and building. If you are half way through a book at the end of your stay I'm sure we can come to an arrangement :). The reference books will have to stay though. Downstairs consists of the fire place, a comfortable loungeroom, television and DVD player. There is a well equipped kitchen with a microwave, fridge, electric frypan, two-burner electric hotplates, a small oven with a griller. The bottom level also has a dining table that seats four people. We will provide you with tea and coffee and milk of your choice. There are french doors that lead to large decks on both levels with an outdoor table on the bottom deck. The cottage was built by Dan, so if you are interested in how it was all done please feel free to ask. The cottage is down the back of the property behind the main house. It is about 40 metres from the road down a number of gentle steps. It is a 25 minute walk into Leura mall and to the train station. You will find many coffee / dining options and lots of good shopping. There is also a supermarket, post office, newsagent and a great bottle shop! In addition to the many well known tourist attractions in the Blue Mountains, there are some undiscovered gems we can direct you to nearby our property. There are bush walks and the area is perfect for mountain biking! For example it is a 15km ride along Mount Hay Road (which becomes a fair/reasonably maintained dirt road not far past our place) to one of the most amazing views you are likely to see. Mount Hay Road can also be accessed by most cars and there are many beautiful walks including to Blue Gum Forest, Lockley's Pylon and Flat Top. Please note, although it is normally a minimum 2 night stay, during quiet periods and when single nights are available in the calendar, these are set to allow 1 night stays. Please feel free to go ahead and book a single night if the calendar allows you to, otherwise please contact us and ask if you can stay for 1 night only.
We live in a quiet, friendly neighbourhood. It has a bush / rural feel which is quite different from the south side of Leura which is more of a European feel.
  • Amazing place! If it’s available, book it! Kylie and Dan were excellent hosts, very easy to communicate with and super friendly. The cottage is relaxing, comfortable and very unique. The gardens were lovely and we enjoyed watching birds from the deck. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! Thanks Kylie and Dan :)

  • A truly amazing Air BnB! The attention to detail with the home’s construction, decor, and welcoming hosts made this stay a favorite. We wish we could carry this lodging with us as we continue our travel. Thank you for such a beautiful experience!

    Cory2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • A simply amazing space

    Jude2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was my dream house realised! A beautiful open plan space, just perfect for a night in the blue mountains. I wish we could’ve stayed for longer! The location is great - close to Leura where you can find cute shops and yummy cafes, and only a 10 minute drive to Katoomba to see the Mountains, and other great food options. Dan was more than willing to answer any questions we had and gave a lot of great suggestions. I’ve already recommended this beautiful place to family and friends, and can’t wait to come back! Thank you again.

    Olivia2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Kylie and Dan’s little cottage is full of love and was the perfect place to spend a quiet/romantic weekend away. You can feel the effort poured in to construct this gorgeous house. Love the smooth curves of the walls and the beautiful light inside, caught in the antique glass windows. Beautiful!

    Melissa2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect stay. We wish we had booked longer. The space is so interesting and beautiful, we loved listening to Kylie explain how it was made. It's very private and peaceful. Perfect place for relaxing after hiking & plenty of balcony space for morning yoga in the sunshine. Can't recommend this enough! Thanks so much!

    Allison2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely straw bale home with rustic touches to the interior. Dan was very friendly and showed us around. A very cosy home that is a bit different from the rest. Lots of recycled timber used. The light play through the house as the sun moves is just mesmerising. Very easy place to be comfortable and explore the Blue Mountains. Short drive to Leura main street.

    Catherine2020-02-27T00:00:00Z

Ever wandered what it's like to live on a picturesque Apple Orchard or Hobby Farm? Well now is the time to find out! We will be providing you with the most unique and sort after farm stay experience. Stay in luxury and style while soaking up your own private blue mountains escarpment views. Sitting inside the tastefully restored Machinery Shed is like sitting under the stars as the ceiling is adorned with fairy lights. This stunning Machinery shed is located on the oldest remaining apple orchard on shipley plateau. Built in 1919 it has had a new lease on life. Set up for a romantic couples stay. The house faces iconic blue mountains cliffs and looks down on to the Kanimbla valley. Enjoy a bottle of champagne as you soak in the freestanding stone bathtub looking out on the the view and bush. Cuddle up by the fire under the fairy lights and enjoy the private oasis or watch the sunset by the outdoor fire pit. The machinery Shed is without a TV or any screens. Please note we only provide enough wood to get the fire going. You will need to purchase extra if you wish to use it all night. Firewood can be purchased from the local service stations, Hardware or the Friendly Grocer in town.
We are on 25 acres so you will not see much of the neighbours. It's a quiet little area
  • Location was stunning; and the views were amazing! Very stylish place and super cosy. Lottie the Mareema is the best, and up for a scratch - we absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back!

    Brad2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend, it's beautiful.

    Stefan2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is an exceptional spot - I've stayed many times in the Blue Mountains over more than twenty years and this rates top for me. The views are extraordinary, ever-changing and the area around the farm is untouched by the recent bushfires, making it an oasis of lush green. The accommodation is very well appointed and very quiet and private. Asia was an excellent host and answered our questions extremely promptly. We appreciated the farm produce and luxurious bath supplies. We enjoy cooking and there is everything you need here if you want to stay put and enjoy the beautiful location. You can experience the beauty of the mountains here without getting out of bed but do take the opportunity to walk down to the picnic spot as described in the House guide. We saw an Eastern Grey kangaroo on the way. There are also excellent tips for walks from Asia. If that is your thing, I would also recommend the Porters Pass, Centennial Glen Circuit nearby while the bush on the other side of Blackheath recovers from recent fires and while tracks there might be closed. Outstanding. Thank you Asia.

  • Just what was expected! Beautiful place and excellent hospitality!

    Kiara2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect romantic getaway with picturesque scenery, including an amazing lookout point! The farm animals were great to interact with. We loved Lottie - the Maremma sheepdog, who loved pats and playing chasy!

    Katherine2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • It is completely consistent with the photos and there is no difference. The landlord communicates very accurately beforehand. The room is very large and there is a bathtub that can directly see the Blue Mountains. This is the best memory of our trip to Australia!

    郁琁2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely incredible time at Logan Brae! It was so peaceful and relaxing whilst still being so close to all the great activities and walks. Asia is a wonderful host and went above and beyond what we could even hope for to make our trip as easy as possible, i have no doubt we'll become regulars quite quickly!

    L2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Asia's Machinery Shed is a beautiful, thoughtfully furnished space with amazing amenities! We had high hopes going into our stay and those expectations were far exceeded. Lots of amenities including fantastic toiletries, food and beverage from the orchard, and other touches like sweets. The views were spectacular. I highly recommend drawing a bath during the daytime in order to truly take in the sights! If you are on the fence about booking this stay make the decision now and book!

Gorgeous boutique stay in Gerringong. Custom-built for a couple, Infinity on Willowvale has a king-size bed, spa bath for two, and huge deck to take in the views. Everything is designed for relaxation. INFINITY is located among the rolling green hills on the idyllic Willowvale Road, that boasts working dairy farms and the stunning Crooked River Winery. Just 5 minutes from the beach, you'll feel you're a million miles from everywhere.
If you're looking for a place you can unwind completely, with peaceful, luxurious touches to truly indulge, you're heading to the right place. Come and experience the tranquillity - we are brand-new, opened in December 2018. From the moment you turn into Willowvale Road and start winding your way past the vineyards of Crooked River Winery, you know you're in a very special place. Gerringong's picturesque beaches are just minutes behind you, Saddleback Mountain stretches across the sky to the north, and 2 kms along the road you reach the peaceful vistas of Infinity on Willowvale. Take in the exquisite rural views from every room or watch the magnificent sunsets from the spa bath or deck. The kitchen and outdoor BBQ mean you can cook as much or as little as you want. Note that there is no oven or stove, but there is a microwave and BBQ. INFINITY can accommodate four people, however there is no door between the bedroom and the lounge room (where the sofa bed is), and the bathroom is accessed via the bedroom. So it's an ideal space for a couple, or friends and family that don't need bedroom privacy.
The coastal Gerringong village is just three kilometres away, with cafes, markets and a great beach vibe. Gerringong boasts stunning surfing and swimming beaches. Get out the surfboard for the waves at Werri, or enjoy the pristine quieter waves of Gerroa's Seven Mile Beach.
  • The cottage is a perfect farm stay. You can see a beautiful green landscape with some beautiful animals around it. We were lucky to see the full moon and a huge kangaroo jumping around! The cottage is incredible, it’s so stylish and has some very nice touches. The hosts were very nice and hospital. We are very thankful that they shared such an amazing place with us. The cottage is very near nice restaurants and beaches. Enjoy your stay here!

  • A comfortable and relaxing stay in such a magical location. We helped ourselves into the accommodation to find a bottle of wine and food platter for us. Everything about the house was incredibly clean and comfortable and there were enough amenities for us to cook for ourselves. However, the town of Gerrigong was a quick drive away for when we wanted to eat out. The lawn area is lovely to sit in and soak up the afternoon sun and watch the sunset. For a city dweller, it was surreal to watch the stars at midnight from the comfort of our balcony. A truly magical getaway, will be returning.

    Kayla2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Infinity was the most beautiful place for us newly weds to relax in after our big wedding weekend. We will defiantly be back. Thanks for the bottle of wine and cheese! Very thoughtful.

  • Gorgeous little spot for a romantic weekend away. Even better if you’ve got a runabout to explore the water ways or to go and grab dinner or lunch somewhere. Very stylish. Very quiet.

    Ingrid2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Dangar is a little haven and Leanne's shack was perfect for a weekend getaway. Communication was easy and she was very helpful, she even tried to help find alternate dates when we weren't able to stay the full booking. The shack was clean, access was as described, it was quiet and just what was needed. We enjoyed cooking up our dinner and sitting out on the front dock watching the boats and the train go past in the far off distance. We took the water taxi directly to the shack to arrive with our gear and food supplies, but the ferry home. Either way, both are easy. There is a buggy you can take from the ferry arrival spot if you are concerned about having too much baggage.

  • We had an amazing time at Hampton house. What a wonderful place to relax and enjoy your time with nature. We actually caught some fishes and also do BBQ there. Highly recommended :) will definitely be back there again very soon

    Bank2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay, it was perfect to celebrate our 3 year anniversary! Being so close to the water was lovely and even though it rained it was still so nice to just sit there and read and watch the world go by. As mentioned; you do hear the train go by every 15 mins or so but we actually quite liked watching it go past. It wasn't a terrible sound. If anyone is wondering, like we were, the spa is up near the house. But the boathouse itself was quite private, bar people going out onto their jetty every so often to take their boats. In all it was lovely, and just what we wanted. A very relaxing few days!

    Crystal2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a dream! If you’re thinking whether to book or not...do it right now!!

    Sophie2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing experience, we really enjoyed it! Thank you Leanne 😊

    Bonnie2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • The Boatshed is stunning, beautifully designed and in an amazing location right on the water with your own private beach. Leanne was excellent to deal with and we loved staying here for the night.

Belle-Gordon is an elegant light filled garden studio 5 minutes walk from Blackheath Village
During this time we are hosting guests more long term with a few days between guests and using enhanced cleaning techniques. Belle-Gordon is a newly built garden studio with separate access on a quiet cul de sac only meters from the famous ‘Fort Rock’ and 'Centennial Glen' bush walks and 5 mins walk to the train station and town. We love the village atmosphere, stunning scenery and being able to walk to cafes, pubs and local markets and hope you will too. Sit on the terrace with your bottle of complimentary bubbly and enjoy the sunset. The suite has a queen bed with beautiful linen, a claw foot bath for a deep relaxing soak, a TV to curl up in bed and watch your fav flicks (free Netflix) and a coffee machine for the morning. There is also a small fridge, microwave, toaster & kettle. The reverse cycle aircon and electric blankets means you will always be nice and comfy. We supply some gourmet muesli, yoghurt, fresh fruit, local sourdough, jam /spreads & a selection of beverages so you can enjoy breakfast overlooking your own private garden before taking in the delights of Blackheath and surrounds. The studio is a short walk to great cafes in the village if breakfast out is your your preference. We have a little dog, a cat and a few chickens. None of which have access to the apartment or garden with the exception of Jemima (cat) who needs the occasional reminder that the space was not created for her! We are around most of the time and happy to chat about local must do’s or leave you in peace, your holiday your choice.
Beautiful Blackheath sits at the top of the Blue Mountains less than a 2hr drive from Sydney. Stunning vistas surprise at the end of Govett’s Leap and Evans Look Out Rds, both a short drive from the village. If gardens are your pleasure, then the Campbell Rhododendron Gardens on Bacchante St will not disappoint. Oct-Nov is recommended as the best flowering time. Blackheath has a true 4 Season climate, warm Summers, stunning Autumn colours, chilly Winters with occasional snow falls and a glorious Spring with cherry blossoms and daffodils. Foodies & gourmets are catered for too with great cafes, restaurants, bakeries and local markets. Whether you are a hardened adventurer, or out for a pleasant stroll, the walks, tracks and canyons in Blackheath and surrounds, offer a variety of outdoor activity.
  • I always love coming to stay at Belle-Gordon, such a wonderfully quiet street with closeness to shops but enough away from the busy to fully relax. Loved having the birdlife explore the pretty garden the studio looks out onto and comfy bed to sleep in on!

    Susan2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This stay was amazing, just a 10 mins drive to Katoomba where cafes, restaurants and supermarkets are mostly located. It was a quiet place and was lovingly furnished. The pantry was very well stocked with quality products. There were unexpected touches like bath salts, candles and Google Chromecast which makes us feel at home. Jen and Mal were very responsive to our questions and ensured that we had sufficient food in the pantry. Would love to stay with them during our next stay at the Blue Mountains!

    Jollyn2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The review is in and we could not be happier to give it a rave! Our stay was truly magical. Jen & Mal are wonderful, attentive, thoughtful hosts and the studio - though charmingly small - has everything you could possibly need for a dream Blue Mountains getaway. We'll be back!

    Claudia2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice place, had everything you could need. Very clean and stylish. Saw a beautiful sunset from just outside the apartment. Good location, went to a great restaurant (fumo) 5 minutes walk away. Blackheath is a good spot to stay, lots of amazing view points nearby and less crowds. Near to Katoomba.

    Julia2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I thought of this as our own personal cottage. Beautiful front garden, nice touches throughout, highly responsive hosts. This is an excellent choice.

    Dave2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Jen & Mal’s place is great and just as described! The thoughtful touches (e.g. fresh flowers and fruit) and information on local businesses made it feel homey and inviting. Would definitely stay again!

    Lindsay2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Cute little spot perfect for both location and luxury. Only a 5-10 minute walk to Blackheath centre and simple directions provided for driving. Lots of lovely little surprises such as breakfast, chocolate and bubbles. Plus my personal favourite of bath salts for the amazing bath.

    Ellie2020-02-24T00:00:00Z

  • What an amazing space to be in. Not only is the cottage gorgeous but the view is spectacular. From the monument we walked in to the time we left it felt like a relaxing and comfortable space. Lindy provided fresh baked bread and condiments so we were set for a lovely breakfast and a coffee to start our day. As this was the accomodation for our wedding it was extra special to us and the property gave us so many lovely and relaxing memories. Thank you Lindy and John

    Kylie2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is the second time we have stayed, my husband and I have had another wonderful birthday getaway to Lindy's cottage. The view is still spectacular. The cottage is inviting and comfortable. Lindy has provided everything needed for a fantastic stay, including some delicious breakfast items. Waking up to the sunlight and birds singing, is lovely. Having breakfast out on the deck was a highlight. It is a quick drive to fabulous beaches and places to dine. We are hoping to come back again next year.

  • A wonderful one night stay to celebrate our anniversary. Michael and Trudy are fantastic hosts; quick communication, friendly and accommodating, we were a last minute booking and Michael welcomed us on arrival and showed us around the stylish suite. Super comfortable and clean, very peaceful and relaxing space, super comfy bed, pillows and linen, loved relaxing in the massive bath. Nice, private little balcony to enjoy. Really appreciated the supplied cereals, milk, tea, coffee, bread, spreads and treats. Well stocked suite, everything has been thought of including folder with local restaurants and activities and handy list of local doctor, hospital and pharmacy. It was all very easy. Ultimately, we wanted a stylish space that was peaceful to relax and enjoy our anniversary and our stay was perfect. We didn’t want to leave. Loved it, highly recommend and can’t wait to return!

  • A little bit of paradise when you don’t expect it. Loved our stay here.

    Hillary & Colin2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is a truly wonderful place for a retreat. We'd come all the way from NZ, seeking a spot to base some wine touring from, and this one stood out for the promise of its amazing setting. It rained the entire time we were there so we didn't get the stunning sunrise and sunset... yet it didn't matter as the rain was fun for other reasons.. the kangaroos shaking themselves like wet dogs... the gleaming green of freshly washed forest - and being able to fill the amazing spa bath without feeling guilty (the cottage is rainwater fed) - the bath has a spectacular view down the valley and is large enough to 'swallow' two people. The bed was generously sized and very comfortable and we absolutely loved the wrought iron Juliet balcony with its drop-away views. Amelie's is reminiscent of a Tuscan villa on a Tuscan hillside (if you ignore the roos and gums :) ) and is a very healing place to be. No wifi... and hope Sally keeps in that way... if you need some R&R within easy driving reach of some spectacular wineries, then this is your place.

    Michelle2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • The place was amazing looking across the valley and hills. We had a very hot weekend and the cottage still stayed cool would recommend the place to everyone. The cottage was very clean and tidy when we got there. Sally checked to ensure we were coping with the heat and that everything was going well.

A truly unique weekend escape only an hour and a half from Sydney CBD. You'll feel your worries melt away driving down the private dirt road to your oasis in the bush. The Bungalow is set in lush surrounds with sweeping ocean views. Freshly renovated with brand new furnishings and linen, you'll have all the comforts of home whilst you enjoy the sounds of nature from your own private deck or from the comfort of your bed perched high up in the loft. A perfect couples retreat.
The Bungalow offers the best of both worlds - bush and beach. With no visible neighbours except for the main house on the property you'll feel like you are a million miles away. Lounge on the outdoor couch on your own private deck and enjoy sweeping ocean views or watch the sunrise from the comfort of your loft bed overlooking the ocean. The Bungalow offers something a little different from most listings in the area. The beach and cafes are a 10-15 minute walk from our house. The Bungalow does have a stove top cooker, but no oven. So if you're a passionate chef, it's probably not the space for you. Otherwise keep things simple. Coledale offers a great selection of first rate cafes with incredible food to cater for all dietary requirements. Try Earth Walker or Mr & Mrs Smith or literally dozens of other cafes, bars and restaurants from Coledale to Thirroul including Headlands Hotel, Jose Jones & South Sailor to name a few. There are endless beaches, ocean pools and surf breaks to choose from or spend the weekend exploring the beauty of the escarpment with numerous walking trails to suit all levels of fitness. Try a yoga class or simply unwind on the deck. You won't be disappointed.
Life is a little slower in Coledale. Wander down to one of our local cafes for a long breakfast. Explore the headland walk to the SeaCliff Bridge or spend the day on the beach. There are so many beaches to choose from not to mention the beautiful ocean pool at Coledale or many others sprinkled all along the coast from north to south.
  • Loved our stay at the bungalow. A very cool space, super relaxing. Enjoyed the local cafes and surroundings. Would recommend.

    Emma2020-03-09T00:00:00Z

  • Lovely stay in the hills, waking up with THE best sunrise view creeping through the window (we left the blind open). WiFi is currently down, though it's nice to disconnect once in a while. Hosts have great recommendations for food, etc. and you're welcomed by two gentle Golden Retrievers.

'The Dairy' was one of the original dairy milking sheds in Upper Kangaroo River. This cottage has been lovingly restored and creatively transformed into luxury accommodation using reclaimed and recycled materials. A luxurious eco-haven for a peaceful escape from the everyday world! The three sets of French doors, which used to allow three cows in to be milked at once, now allow the living area to be opened to the alfresco dining area which is covered by an old wisteria vine.
The Dairy can sleep up to four people, with a comfortable pillow top queen bed as well as a pullout sofa bed in the sitting area, however is mostly suited to 2 guests due to the size of the space. There is an indoor spa bath and separate shower, but for the ultimate bath experience with a difference, why not relax in the outdoor garden bath. There is a rustic wood-fired stove to keep you cozy in The Dairy during winter, and air conditioning to keep the space cool in summer. Facilities in the cottage include linen and towels, free wireless internet, and ceiling fan - plus air conditioning. The well-appointed kitchen overlooking paddocks will inspire you to create country fare. There is an espresso machine stocked with fresh coffee beans roasted right here in Kangaroo Valley. Feel free to pick herbs from the garden and collect the free range eggs from our chickens Established walking tracks through varying landscape take you through paddocks, escarpment, rainforest, offering many picnic spots with breathtaking views and abundant wildlife. See kangaroos, wallabies and wombats up close in their natural environment! Whether you choose to explore everything the valley has to offer, or to relax in the garden, or by the fire with a good book, Broger's End is a wonderful escape. Broger's End is accredited with EcoTourism Australia. We are powered by the sun with our solar panels and Tesla battery. We collect rainwater for all our water and have composting systems for food scraps and other waste. We aim to tread as lightly as we can on this beautiful part of the world. Located just 2 hours drive from Sydney or Canberra, and 6 km from Kangaroo Valley Village, Broger’s End is the perfect place to relax and enjoy what the Australian bush has to offer. Broger's End is located ifar enough from the village to be a peaceful retreat, but close enough to pop into town for dinner at a nice restaurant, or visit the shops. Whilst we welcome all guests and groups - The Dairy is set up perfectly for a couple or two guests. Children and extra guests are welcome but please keep in mind that there is limited space. Feel free to message us to discuss prior to booking.
The dairy is located on a quiet rural road, about 6 km from the main village of Kangaroo Valley. The Dairy is close enough to go in for a nice meal at one of the local restaurants, but far enough away to feel you have escaped from the hustle and bustle of life! Surrounded by farmland and bush - a peaceful stay for all travellers.
  • The dairy was an incredible little getaway for myself and my partner (who proposed to me on our first night!), the space is run so thoughtfully, it truly feels like running your own little farm for a couple of days. Highly recommend!

  • Blissful retreat to celebrate my 30th birthday! The outdoor bath is pure magic. We loved that our poodle could enjoy the holiday too. Excellent hosts. Wish we could ha e stayed longer in the Broger’s End bubble ☺️

  • A lovely reclaimed dairy, perfect for a couple. It has a very peaceful and calming ambience, very cosy and comfortable, and a lovely outlook over green paddocks down to kangaroo river. The house is full of nice little touches, like antique furniture and light fixtures. The kitchen was well set up to cook a stovetop meal. The focus on solar power and battery storage was great to see, as was the overall commitment to sustainability. We would love to come back in the future and relive what was a lovely weekend for us. The only regret we had was not staying a third night. Tori was very helpful organising a picnic platter and suggesting nice walks we could do around the area. Definitely worth visiting!

  • The Dairy at Broger's End is well set up for a nice, quiet and relaxing retreat. It is a fairly small space with air conditioning so is easy to keep at a comfortable temperature. We found the hosts to be very helpful. As expected for a rural property, you may not want to be too squeamish about flies, spiders and lizards.

    Joseph2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • For those who want to get away from it all in a stylish, private place, this is the place to go

    Anthony2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful, tranquil, eco friendly place to stay. Tori is lovely and it is so wonderful that the property is dog friendly. Thank you for a very peaceful few days.

    Rebecca2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • The place was clean and Tori was lovely. The farm eggs were delicious and lots of things to do around the area. Be aware of some bugs in the area but that comes with the territory of a farm. All in all, we had an amazing time here!

A quaint Balinese style timber cabin, with intricately carved panels and large glass windows, looking out over a sub tropical rain forest vista. Be surrounded by native flora and fauna and the sounds of rain forest birds in this private little forest cabin.
The Forest Cabin is a natural hideaway, perfect for couples, or singles, wanting privacy in natural beauty. The timber, carved cabin with large glass windows, is nestled within the Australian sub tropical rain forest, in the hinterland of Byron Bay. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, a beautiful, unique outside bathroom to bathe and shower under the stars. Simple luxury. There is NO MOBILE RECEPTION, however, you have the use of the landline phone (honesty system). WIFI is available for Internet access such as responding to emails or for messenger or just searching the web. NOTE: due the limited amount of GB and the satellite wifi guests are not to download movies, watch movies, watch any sort of videos or Youtube videos via the internet. This will use up the limited GB per month and the next guest will not have access to the internet. Thank you. The eco, composting, squat loo has a forest view and is situated outside in a small out house not far from the outdoor bathroom. There is a wooden ladder to walk up to access the composting loo. The cabin has a TV for watching movies only as there is no television reception. We suggest to bring DVDs with you or you can use some of the Bali DVDs provided in the cabin (some may not be in great working order as sometimes the case with Bali DVDs). There is a small selection of books to read also. The water in the cabin is rain water, triple filtered and is suitable for drinking, bathing and cooking. This setting is ideal for nature lovers and those who wish to retreat in nature for a quiet, peaceful getaway. The cabin is not a party house. To keep the grounds neat and tidy we have a grounds maintenance person come each Tuesday, starting round 9am, for around 3 hours (this includes time spent at another house further down the road and ending up at the cabin from around 11am - 12noon approximately). Also each Tuesday fortnight we have a gardener that comes to work on the gardens around the cabin working from 9am - 4pm (most of this time is spent around the main house further down the road and some time around the cabin). Guests are reminded that this property is in the middle of the rainforest. In the forest there is an abundance and diverse range of native fauna (frogs, wallabies, spiders, lizards, goannas and other native fauna). Please tread carefully when you are walking around outside and at night please always take a torch with you.
The cabin is situated on a Multiple Occupancy property which is owned by local musicians, artists and yoga teachers. Each of the houses, on the 75 acre property, is situated so that they are private from one another and blend in with the natural surrounds. Not far away you will find Minyon Falls in the Nightcap National Park. Great for bush walking, viewing the falls from the top, having picnics or just chilling out in nature. If you feel like heading to the beach, you have the choice of Brunswick Heads with a long, beautiful beach and stunning river or Byron Bay with a variety of amazing beaches to choose from. If you feel like browsing through some interesting towns and villages, visit Mullumbimby or Bangalow Villages. Beaches, villages and towns are within a 35 minute radius.
  • An incredible space with views even better than the photos. the space is exactly as described, it’s on a beautiful property with an abundance of wildlife (we had large Goanas regularly sun baking on the grass in the mornings). An incredibly relaxing experience, highly recommend if this is something you’re after. As a side note, I wouldn’t recommend for people with arachnophobia as the spiders definitely loved the hut too.

  • My partner and I enjoyed a relaxing break at the cabin :) Very quiet, peaceful and relaxing. I especially enjoyed the outdoor bath and shower! Just as the pictures demonstrate. Plenty of nature and wildlife around. Only small amounts of condiments and staples were provided so best to bring your own along if you plan to cook. Thanks again for our stay!

  • Marie's forest cabin was an absolute dream to stay in. Waking up every morning to birdsong in a peaceful forest setting felt deeply relaxing. It was extremely comfortable and had everything there that we needed. The outdoor bath at sunset was sublime. We will definitely be back ~

  • Gorgeous spot right near the river, with plenty of privacy and beautiful natural light. The free bike use made trips into town easy and we were spoilt for choice when it came to walks and activities near by. Linda was very responsive and helpful and all the food we had in bright was amazing.! All in all a excellent stay.!

    Ian2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous cottage - everything was fantastic - views from the bedroom and spa bath are really something, nature at its best. The cottage has absolutely everything you need, with the kitchen probably being the best stocked of equipment of any bnb we have stayed in. The bbq in the patio is a real bonus. We stayed during the horrible New Year bush fires, and the owners gave us some good advice which (along with the emergency warnings) resulted in us cutting our trip short by two day’s - but the owners were very accommodating with a credit for the time list for our stay. Wonderfull stay all round.

Welcome to Bushies Love Shack. The naming of the love shack came about upon purchasing the property some 8 years ago. Fay's father, at the time 90 years of age, and his girlfriend, 91 years of age, automatically named it the Love Shack as they envisaged, once renovated, them sitting in bed, playing cards and taking in the view and so the name stuck. In keeping with the name, we have created a luxurious, romantic space for two.
Bushies Love Shack is perfect for that romantic getaway or for simple peace and quiet. It includes a queen size bed, private bathroom with luxury bath robes, kitchen with dishwasher, coffee machine and egg & bacon breakfast supplies and complimentary bottle of Feathertop wine home made muffins and nibbles on arrival. The biggest draw card which the shack has to offer is our beautiful outdoor bath .The bath is copper lined and fits two comfortably its one way to relax and sip on your wine and enjoy the serenity and beauty of the shack, also we provide you bath bombs and salts to help you enjoy the experience. The shack is decked out with high end interior and decorations not forget to mention the bed is to die for with its superb sheets etc certainly a 5 star plus As much as we love babies and children . PLEASE NOTE As mentioned we have created this beautiful shack for couples only We STRICTLY will not accept booking for additional children or babies...to save your disappointment please do not enquire.
Porepunkah & Bright are beautiful townships in North East Victoria. A must see in Autumn and Spring but also a great place in winter with Mt Hotham and Falls Creek nearby. BYO Bikes or Bikes are available … Bike along the Rail Trail or walk/drive into the townships of Porepunkah (9mins drive, 6.8km walk) and Bright (16mins drive, 13.3km walk), offering many restaurants, cafes and shops or drive up to The Grand Old Lady and take in the spectacular views. For guests who require 1 night stay. please feel free to enquire
  • Do yourself one HUGE favour and stay with Bushy and Faye in their gorgeous Love Shack. You’ll be made to feel very welcome. You’ll be spoilt beyond belief. You’ll be amazed at the little treats you’ll find scattered throughout the shack. You’ll get some local tips and knowledge, and even some of the history behind the Love Shack. You’ll feel pampered and rested.

  • Fay and Bushie's place is amazing. The surroundings are so peaceful and beautiful and we were warmly welcomed again by Fay and Bushie. They are so generous, helpful and friendly. Thank you for making our stay before the arrival of our second child so wonderful.

    Amy2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, Fay is a champion! Bath under the stars is magic! Won’t disappoint!

    Josh2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely brilliant in every way. The stunning setting, beautiful shack with thoughtful and luxurious touches, outdoor bath, friendly dogs and horses to feed, mountain trails and waterfalls to explore, winery nextdoor, numerous eateries and shops closeby in Porpunkah/Bright/Wandi - Bushie's love shack had it all. Additionally, Fay and Bushy were incredibly warm, friendly, helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay even more memorable. Highly recommended.

    Dylan2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had high expectations for our visit and weren’t disappointed at all. Great spot, great hosts, great accommodation and a great time was spent.

    John2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing weekend. The Love Shack went over and above what I expected and comfortably the best AirBnB I have stayed in. Fay and Bushy were amazing hosts and made the whole experience so relaxing and comfortable. We will be back!

    Seamus2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I have stayed in numerous AirBnb’s around Australia, USA and Canada and we can safely say that this is our favourite one. Not one thing you could fault. So many included extras waiting for you inside. The hosts were awesome and went above and beyond to make everything enjoyable such as dropping us off and picking us up from dinner and drinks. My girlfriend has already told me that if we’re back in this region that she will refuse to stay anywhere else.

    Kane2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Sit back in the outdoor bathtub and enjoy this magical part of the world with great views of Mt Buffalo and an abundance of bird life. Photo’s really don’t do this place justice. Fay and Bushie are incredible hosts and very generous in making you feel welcome.

  • We were after a quick Christmas getaway for 4 adults and this was the perfect place to unwind. It was a very stylish space, great views and the addition of the pin ball machine made for some great competitive entertainment. Although the accommodation is next to other places, because they are built facing the cliff, they felt very secluded. We had a slight problem with the second bedroom not being opened at check-in; however David was prompt to answer my call and his wife was over to fix the problem within the hour - great service! The additional food hamper was a lovely touch and the music playing when you walked in was a nice homely touch.

  • The cottage was really clean and well kept. Simple personal touches made the property feel really comfortable. The views are just stunning despite the devastations of the bush fires that have affected the lands and homes at Lake Conjola. The sunrise on the lake is just stunning where you can view it from inside the cottage or right on the lake which is right outside the cottage. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone wanting to get away to south coast.

Refresh that woolly head at hidden and luxurious Woollybutts cottage near eclectic Federal village. Sink into linen sheets and stuff your face on complimentary local produce for breakfast. Lounge by the resort-style pool, then recline on a hammock with a stunning valley-view backdrop. 25 minutes to Byron and 15 minutes from Bangalow and Mullumbimby, Woollybutts is close enough to everything that you won't feel like you've missed out yet private and hidden on 12 acres of Hinterland paradise. Check out more pics on Insta @woollybutts. Note that the hosts live on site about 40m from the cottage.
We are first time hosts but this has been our dream for many years so we have put a lot of thought into the space. Named for the trees we thought were on the property (oops we were wrong but we kept the name anyway), Woollybutts has had its kitchen and bathroom renovated and so everything, including the furniture, is new! Apart from the vintage pieces of course! The cottage includes:- - A pillow topped mattress with French linen sheets - 49” inch tv with Netflix - free wifi - wireless charging bedside lamps - locally roasted Moonshine coffee, Mayde tea, Bread Social bread and scrumptious Brookfarm muesli - a selection of local jams, eggs, fruit, juice and milk for breakfast - olive oil, sauces, salt and pepper - local MooGoo amenities (a cow has a woollybutt right?) - hair dryer - Sheridan towels + plus extra pool towels - reverse cycle air-conditioning - super comfy sofa and a hammock on the deck, what more do you need for a weekend away? Oh yes..... - an awesome pool with a view, loungers and pool towels! - a yoga mat And if you can be bothered the perfect yoga deck:) Whilst the kitchen is new, it’s worth flagging that it’s not a full kitchen and does not have an oven. It includes the following brand new items:- - fridge with freezer compartment - ice machine - microwave - portable induction cooktop ( they use them on Masterchef too!) - kettle - coffee machine - coffee plunger and teapot - great Weber BBQ - dishwasher There’s also a new washing machine, iron and ironing board, laundry tub and clothes line wardrobe with wooden hangers and plenty of space for your luggage. It’s super peaceful here so we hope you enjoy some downtime and the beautiful starry night skies. There's plenty of books, games, puzzles and guides in the cottage as well. Make sure to keep an eye out for the local wildlife including possums, all sorts of birds, bandicoots, wallabies, a koala or two if you’re lucky and of course heaps of cows. We are also proud to have partnered with Table Under A Tree who can hand deliver amazing meal pods straight to you with incredible local produce and a recipe card. Check them out at www.tableunderatree.com.au and if you enter ‘welovewoollybutts’ as a promo code you’ll get free delivery. We love all the wonderful local foods around here. Finally, unless you're with Telstra you won't get any mobile reception but we do have free wifi so you can do wifi calling!
Down the end of a country lane, this little piece of paradise is 5 mins from the village of Federal, the location of the famous Doma Japanese Café and 25 mins from Byron. Visit local food, literary and music festivals, walk trails, and marvel at nearby waterfalls. This is the country so a car is essential and if you're not eating in (there is a BBQ, Microwave, induction hob but no oven), then Bangalow or Mullumbimby have some great restaurants. The hosts live on site in the main house next door.
  • Such a lovely place and in such a cute area. Beautiful all round. And an accurate listing with a great host. Thank you again!

  • If you are looking for a beautiful and relaxing environment to get away from it all, JUST BOOK IT! Our Woollybutts stay was exactly what I needed.

    Colleen2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • The greenest and most serene experience! Nicola was an absolute delight and Woollybutts is a hinterlands treasure. The place is so relaxing and comfy you will not want to leave, but the drive in and out is too beautiful to resist!

    Be2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had some last minute changes to travel plans and we were really hoping to get some rest on the trip and Woollybutts paved the way for just that. It’s tucked away amongst plenty of green, has lots of natural light, and the only noise you’ll hear is from nature. We’re a couple that loves to explore food options so Nicola’s recommendations were well received and the options close by were amazing. We were pretty wrapped with the breakfast that was provided as well. The actual accomodation itself looks great, has lots of thoughtful touches and smells great. The pool has floating bean bags for a bit of fun. Thanks again Nicola for a great stay!

    Roy2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Wollybutts cottage, our best bnb experience to date! We felt so relaxed and at home staying in the cottage - it’s is beautifully styled and we loved the local touches- especially the breakfast! The strawberry and pepper jam was a real hit! A big thank you to Nicola and her family for making us feel so welcome. We will certainly be back!

    Nicola2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Stop thinking and book this! Amazing space and Nicola went above and beyond to make sure all the tiny details are taken care of (comfortable linens, beach towels, the widest assortment of local jams and coffee/ tea). This stay ranks as one of our favorite b&bs to date. We left feeling so rejuvenated.

    Julia2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • So relaxing! Our stay not only met all of our hopes but actually surpassed them. The location feels lovely and removed but is close to little villages/towns to explore. The cottage is private, very stylish and filled with beautiful local produce. The pool was a major feature for us and was as lovely as it is in the photos! Nicola sent very detailed and very useful information about the property and the local area. During the course of our stay we had very hot days with blue skies as well as storms and pouring rain and it was beautiful and comfortable during both.

    Kate2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our time here! We loved the secluded location, eclectic interiors and relaxing by the stunning pool. Highly recommend!

  • For the second time i review this listing: Helen and Bernard listen to suggestion as they changed and added according to my previous private notes which is really thoughtful. There place became a must in NSW as it is truly spectacular in every way. Thank you

    Ali2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures in the profile were amazing, But they still don't do the place justice. Everything was way more impressive in person. Worth every penny, will be looking to return later in the year.

    Ash2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a wonderful time at Helen’s property despite the rain and fog. We had to spend most our the time indoors, but thankfully the weather cleared up the following morning and we had such a great time by the pool... and Helen graciously obliged to a late check out so that we could enjoy her place a bit longer! The view is spectacular. Thank you Helen for your hospitality.

    Deborah2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • The most amazing place on the South Coast!

  • Helen’s place is just wonderful and one of a kind! We stayed there with my partner for our anniversary and it was everything we were looking for. The place is so peaceful, on top of the hill with a splendid view. We enjoyed the sunset by the firepit and the pool is so refreshing. 100% recommended!! Would more than happily come back :)

    Nick2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Helens place is a Gem and a rare find. A truly inspiring design and well thought touches. Everything has been beautifully constructed and maintained. Sitting by the pool facing the valley was our highlight while we watched the sunset with centrally controlled music from the house all the way around the pool. Gorgeous ! To add icing to the cake Helen showed us around and suggested places we could go to eat which was very handy. As a plus we got to see kangaroos who came to say hello :) It certainly is a true romantic getaway

  • Excellent get away , complete peace

    Joseph2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • This place is simply the best. If you are after peace and tranquillity stay here. I became mesmerised by the kangaroos early morning, and then the peacocks visited in the afternoon. And all the native birds and wild life. Do wear covered shoes when walking around because there are some killer ants! The outlook over the water, to the mountains, to the bush, to the vineyards - simply magical. Love the changing light and reflections during the day. The furnishings inside the cabin are quality and stylish. Breakfast provisions are more than generous. The cold bottle of semillon on arrival was perfect. This place met all my needs and more. I left with a smile on my face with all my worries gone. I will return!

    Wendy2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Felt like a home away from home, well styled and very clean. Beautiful views, very peaceful, lots of room on the property to take a stroll or find a quiet spot for a picnic.

    Haylee2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • What a great find. Our villa was exactly as described and as in the photos. Every detail was taken care of. The villa was spacious and had many thoughtful touches included. Cupcakes, bottle of wine, some nibbles & breakfast supplies. Robes, slippers and lovely toiletries. The view from the verandah was so peaceful and we even got to see kangaroos bounding on the property. It was such a relaxing stay we can’t wait to go back in winter when we can start the fire and play the games and watch one of the many DVDs provided in the villa. The fact communication was so quick and easy just topped everything off a great weekend.

    Sue2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was FANTASTIC!! We have never been made to feel more welcome than we did at this accommodation. Couldn’t fault anything and we can’t wait to return!Incredible!!!

    Matthew2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place is so well-designed and luxurious yet still homely. Extra touches like free breakfast, cupcakes, a bottle of wine, bath caviar, bathrobes and slippers made our stay so much better. The views of the lake, peacocks and the kangaroos hopping around, which you can see from two huge glass double doors, were so picturesque. We also did a wine tour with Todd which we would highly recommend! He is so friendly and very knowledgeable and took us to places that were really tailored to our preferences. Note that the wifi is on a pay as you go basis so be ready for that if you really need it, or stock up on movies in lieu of Netflix, although Todd and Jeff have a pretty good DVD selection. This airbnb is so breathtaking and provides such an amazing spot for a holiday - it's very private but still close to other wineries and the main towns.

    Beatriz2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great Place for a weekend gate away. Todd has been really helpful in giving local restaurant recommendation.

  • Lovely cabin, only a 5 minute walk to smiths lake. Simple, clean and cosy

    Todd2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • A really charming log cabin by Smiths Lake. We had a very relaxing stay, thanks.

    George2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Such a fun, quirky, aesthetic space! Has the feel of being completely secluded, but is a short distance to local shops. Will be booking again for our next Smiths Lake stay.

  • My husband, dog and I had a lovely stay and felt right at home with the funky/Mexican touches throughout the house. Unfortunately there were extreme/catastrophic fire conditions whilst we were staying so had to leave a day early. Bryony was incredibly understanding and easy to deal with, reimbursing us for the last night straight away. We would definitely stay again and recommend this Airbnb to anyone after a cute and cosy getaway!

    Alina2019-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Such a tranquil cabin, you feel like you’re in the middle of the bush but with enough amenities nearby. A great middle ground between Seal Rocks and Blueys Beach if you’re after the sea, or an amazing lake just minutes walk from the front door. Lots of utensils in kitchen which allowed us to cook all our meals, do some baking and have a bbq in the evening. If you’re also after some evening activities Pacific Palms reccy is an 8 minute drive away. Will definitely be recommending this place to others, and can’t think of anything I’d change about our weekend. Thanks for having us!

  • Had a wonderful stay at Casa. Can’t wait to come back. Our dog loved the yard and just a short stroll to the lake

The apartment is located below the main house where the owners stay from time to time.
We have been operating The Sanctuary since 2013 very successfully on another website and have received over 100 excellent reviews. This acknowledges that we are delivering a quality and popular product. We were a State Finalist in the 2016 Holiday Rental Awards in the Romance section.
  • Robert's place is MUCH MUCH MUCH better in person than on photos. Unfortunately (or fortunately) the property has so many different angles and great spots that you can't show all on the photos. Robert had so many incredible thoughts for his property and you get shocked once you arrive. Everything is perfect, nothing that you see in Sydney and hard to find in other parts of the World. Detail, care, cleanliness, peace, great smell, comfort, relax and much more describes Robert's place. I recommended to all my friends and yea I highly recommend a weekend getaway for you that is reading this review. Bring your spouse, partner or love one

  • Such an amazing place to spend a relaxed day

    Saurabh2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very much as advertised. Great place to keep to yourself and get away from it all - whatever the weather. Not much within walking distance.

    Jason2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place. Exceeded expectations. Truly a remarkable place.

    Emma2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely stunning place to stay - it felt like a little secluded private paradise! Such a cosy well set out space. Lovely comfortable bed, and spacious lounge area. Kitchen has everything you could possibly need, with all amenities impeccably organized and sparkling clean. The Balinese theme both indoors and in the garden area is just stunning and adds to the serenity of the place. Adding to the beauty of the space is the magnificent outdoor spa which is surrounded by a superb lush garden with waterfall and fish pond. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. It is important to note if staying here in Summer, is that there is no air conditioning. Two floor fans were provided, but on the weekend we stayed, due to the unusually heavy rainfall, warm temperatures and humidity, the fans just weren't enough to make the bedroom cool enough for a comfortable sleep. Absolutely loved spending 4 luxuriously relaxing days here, but this place would be made even more perfect with the addition of air conditioning (or at least ceiling fans), and upgrading the existing TV to a Smart TV to allow for more options than just DVDs.

    Jasmin2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute peaceful getaway

    Jack2020-02-03T00:00:00Z

  • We had a lovely time at Susannah's place! Everything was amazing and clean! Great hospitality and very helpful tips! We loved the space and the location and Miso our pup love the yard too! Thank you Susannah!

  • A beautifully renovated with love cottage, with all the homely touches to make you feel special including a lovely welcome basket. A wonderful weekend away.

    Dave2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Susannah’s house is very comfortable and welcoming. We enjoyed our time in the jacuzzi with the gorgeous river view. Highly recommend!

    Clare2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Susannah's place was perfect for our weekend away with overseas guests. Everyone was very impressed with the house and outlook - it was clean and the decor was beautiful. Thanks for your hospitality Susannah!

    Elsa2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Sussanah's house is amazing in the photos and even better in real life. Modern and classy furnishing and decor throughout with many thoughtful touches. It was a lovely house to prepare meals as the kitchen is fully stocked with everything we could need. We stayed comfortably with 5 adults, a toddler and a baby. The cot, change mat and high chair provided were really helpful. Watching the sunset from the hot tub every night was one of the highlights! I highly recommend staying at this property.

    Amy2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Susannah's property has a luxurious retreat feel that instantly makes you feel calm and relaxed. The interior is cleverly designed, modern style with luxurious finishes. My family and I especially loved the glass bi-fold doors at the back with views to the lake as the sun was setting. Susannah went out of her way to always make sure we were comfortable, providing local recommendations, and nice little welcome basket. Can not wait to plan the next trip to the area so we can stay and enjoy the property a little longer!

    Cecilia2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely beautiful house in a great location. Despite timing our trip on the wettest weekend of the year, we all had an amazing time. The renovations on the house are spectacular, and you couldn’t find a nicer host than Susannah.

    Katie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Susannah’s house in Culburra exceeded our expectations. We were a little nervous about traveling as two families with 4 kids under 3.5 but the house was perfect and Susannah was incredibly accommodating, including providing porta-cots and high chairs so we didn’t have to pack them in the car! I really appreciated the amount of communication and information that Susannah provided in the lead up to and during our stay. The house was clean, tidy and beautifully appointed! I would highly recommend Susannah’s house to any families looking for a lovely get away in Culburra.

Owners can relax on the cabin deck and keep an eye on their dog running freely. If you provide bedding for the dog, he/she can stay in the cabin but please keep off all furniture. Would appreciate if you swept up any dog hair before leaving. Please pick up all dog poo and put in the bin. As much as we love dogs, please do not bring a dog here if it is aggressive, menacing or an incessant barker. We need to consider the people in the other cabin. • Awesome scenery! Bruce and a Penny were great hosts. What an awesome place to stay just out of Byron Central.

    jacob2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Bruce and Penny were incredibly warm and hospitable. The setting is amazing and we loved swimming in the reservoir, diving off the pontoon and chilling on the deck. Easy short drive to town. The cabins are modern, spacious and comfortable with some country charm to boot. Our dog Alfie loves having the freedom to roam. Will definitely be back

    Adam2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • As soon as you arrive on the property you feel a million miles away, though in reality just a short drive, cycle or uber to Byron town centre. The accomodation is simple with a country farm stay feel. Recommend having a picnic by the Dam, meeting the cows and ducklings and reading a book in the hammocks. Bruce and penny were so kind and welcoming and we left the Airbnb feeling rejuvenated and refreshed.

    Alex2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place. Lovely little dam to swim. Bruce and Penny were wonderful hosts and provided local insight into restaurants and activities. Our little dog loved the location. Will definitely stay again.

  • A great place to switch off from the world! Penny and Bruce were very hospitable. A perfect place to unwind

    Helen2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • An unforgettable experience! Peaceful, lush and incredibly relaxing - Penny and Bruce have a beautiful property within close quarters to Byron bay. The friendly rescue cows were our absolute favourite! All aspects of this stay were as listed with our hosts going above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable - good advice about where the locals eat and drink coffee and they popped around to ensure we were happy whilst also very respectful of our privacy. We can't wait to come back!

    Lauren2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our experience at Bruce & Penny’s property. Loved patting the cows and feeding the donkey /baby cow! Such a lovely quiet, peaceful location. The stars are amazing at night and the farm is very relaxing. Will definatley return! Thanks again to a lovely couple!
