Straightforward 20 minute drive into the plaza, the heart of Santa Fe. Less than a mile from Las Golindrinas, a living history museum and easy access to all northern New Mexico sites. • The Spartan is an absolutely lovely place to spend your nights in Santa Fe. It’s the percent size for two and the bed is very comfortable. Keeping warm isn’t a problem even on the coldest evenings with the heaters on. Check in is a breeze and the neighborhood is quiet day and night.

  • We loved our stay!

    Abbie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a beautiful time here, & felt so welcomed and safe with this air b&b. I was so happy with the hospitality and involvement that suzanne has! Such a lovely soul and did so much to make us feel welcome in this space. We are definitely coming back for more time adventuring in beautiful santa fe!:-)

    Rebecca2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Suzanne’s Spartan is anything but - with cozy touches and hospitality galore, I honestly didn’t want to leave. We went when temperatures were around 20 degrees on average, and the heaters did SUCH a great job. There was complimentary coffee, tea, muffins, and even vodka waiting for us! A home-y and refreshing experience, I left feeling incredibly relaxed and happy. Thanks, Suzanne!!

    Sydney2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really great choice for one or two people. There is no Wi-Fi so you have to enjoy each other’s company. However there is a movie player which is really nice and kind of nostalgic. Suzanne has put so many lovely touches all throughout the space hidden in little cubby is here and there. She even baked muffins which were amazing!

    Sarah2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean very cozy. We used it for a three day snowboard trip for two people and it worked great. Warms up quick and the bedroom stays warm. Very clean upon arrival and easy to restaurants in Santa Fe. The host is very responsive and friendly. Thank you so much!

    Malé2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • What a fun, cute space! My friend and I were so pleased with our stay. The heaters did a fantastic job of keeping us cozy at night, and the heated mattress pad was heavenly. For being a camper, it seemed pretty spacious! I will say that if you are tall, you may have to duck down in the shower. if you are wide you may have to get a little ingenious in the bathroom as it is a tight space. The bed was super comfortable and we loved staying here and would absolutely come back!

    Cara2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a really unique way to experience the beauty of Santa Fe. Close to everything, but also remote. The camper itself is adorable and has everything you need. Suzanne's thoughtful touches really made it a special experience. Hope to get back to the Spartan one day in the future!

New, comfortable bed, the suite is professionally cleaned before each guest! Enjoy a quiet country setting; away from busy streets, with mountain views, starry skies, and a quiet garden. Suite includes a private entrance, full bath, queen bedroom, kitchenette fully stocked with coffee maker, breakfast foods, microwave, dishes, bottled water, etc. 40" flat screen TV, and "fireplace" style heater. You have full access to laundry ($4), and the unit is locked off of the main house. 9 Minute drive from the I-25 and 599. I welcome people from all backgrounds, cultures, races, and LGBT! 1 Mile from Sunset Springs day spa, 4 miles to Cerillos road: Starbucks, restaurants, and 9.4 miles from Trader Joe's, and the Plaza.
A touch of Santa fe hospitality with local art work and pottery. A perennial garden with art works, and a "prayer tree" . I've taken great care to offer the comforts of home in a lovely, artistic setting. This is a single family house with a locked off, separate guest suite with entry code. Private garden and patio, shared front deck with gas BBQ. Flat, well-lit path with 4 steps to entrance. It is quiet and very clean. There are two homes on the 4 acre property, with a security gated entrance, and two very friendly dogs. It is rural yet only 4 miles from town, 1 Mile from Sunrise Springs Spa, with easy access to I-25 and the 599.
A very quiet, family neighborhood in a country setting. This is a very typical Santa Fe New Mexico rural neighborhood, with at least an acre between houses, rolling hills of juniper trees and native plants, mountain views, and dirt side roads. Because there are no street lights, you can easily see the stars (even the milky way) at night. Some nights you can hear coyotes, and many birds come to the garden, including hawks, mountain bluebirds, finches, and an occasional roadrunner. This property has a coded Security gate and lots of room for parking.
  • Such a comfy bed! Very spacious as well. Easy check in and felt safe! Will absolutely be back again!

    Collin2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Sweet and cozy!

    Miguel2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great safe spot right out side of town. My car was filled to the max with all of my belongings and I safe leaving my car parked overnight on gated property. Also being out of town made the stars shine even brighter.

    Gina2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and nice place to stay though slightly out of town. The bed is comfy and padded with memory foam. Warm faux fireplace was cozy.

  • Elizabeth’s airbnb cottage made it possible for me to really arrive in Santa Fe for the first time in a great way, after a visit to the healing waters of Ojo Caliente Hot Springs. Thank you so much for creating such a lovely, nourishing, and creatively inspiring space. I could feel the reiki healing presence on the land and home. For me I received the spiritual benefit of the space as well as life insight just from quietly being in the room with the fireplace and my guitar. Thank you, Lindsey

    Lindsey2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Nice stylish space tucked away from the highway and city. Beautiful sunrise views. Very easy check in! Stayed here before a ski trip to Taos and was super easy and convenient.

    Shannon2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect place, squeaky clean, very well equipped with lovely details. Well located for trips. A car is necessary.

    Fred2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Elizabeth's place was a cozy, welcoming, and warm space for us for a long weekend in Santa Fe! The bed is SO comfortable, the bathroom was clean & had toiletries, and the breakfast nook is well-stocked with cereal, granola, regular & non-dairy milk, and coffee/tea. We especially loved being welcomed home by the friendly dogs. (A note: Since it's about a 15-20 minute drive into the downtown area, Elizabeth's place is probably best if you're roaming around town with your own car.)

  • The best you can get around, if you dont mind being a little far from downtown Santa Fe (we didn't) its a perfect place. The house has everything, it very clean and Susan its just the best. We're totally going back someday

    Edgar2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Susan’s place is in such a peaceful and beautiful spot only several minutes from downtown. The casita is not only impeccably clean, but super cute with great decorative touches. Susan is also such a kind host - she brushing snow off my car after it had snowed! I highly, highly recommend and would come back again!!

    Yuka2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Susan was just wonderful, offering excellent advice and tips throughout the stay. The casita was a perfect and adorable little spot, not far from downtown and was equip with everything I needed throughout my stay!

    Holly2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Susan’s place is perfect. It’s not far from town but you don’t feel like you are on the city. It has everything you need and you can unplug, enjoy nature and have a great time in Santa Fe. Susan communicated well and had several helpful tips for my stay in Santa Fe. I would recommend staying here next time you are in Santa Fe.

    Steven2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Susan's lovely Sunrise Casita! The decor is fantastic and set us right at ease. Susan is an artist and knew just which pieces to arrange around the space to make it feel special and inviting. And she was also very considerate, providing just about everything we could have wanted to make our stay comfortable - coffee, creamer, teas, plenty of plates, bowls, utensils and fantastic mugs, clean up supplies and plastic bags, and in room washer/dryer with detergent and stain fighter. Plus, her place is a short drive down the road from beautiful Santa Fe. We had a lovely time and will definitely come back again soon!

  • Such a cute little desert nook. Loved our stay here

    Daisy2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • As advertised! It is a desert dream! Space was consistent with all descriptions. Amanda and Alfred are wonderful host who at times responded so fast to my questions that I missed some of them. It was cold night in the bus, low 30s to high 20s but the space heater kept us warm. Great getaway close to Santa Fe.

  • You may hesitate to book a place on the outskirts of Santa Fe square -I kind of did. But turns out that Lisa & Roberts amazing place was the highlight of our trip! 3 teens, 2 parents - was perfect 👍🏼(And very very clean!)

    Kellye2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa & Robert were great hosts! The place was beautiful and had so many thoughtful touches, including clear instructions posted around the house and condiments in the fridge. Robert came by to meet us after we arrived and was so welcoming. The place felt so secluded and beautiful, while also being an easy 20 min drive into Santa Fe. We definitely want to return!

    Caitlin2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had mostly young adults with us and Robert and Lisa didn’t mind our noise. We loved the house, hot tub and the walking trails. Would stay here again!

    Marissa2020-02-17T00:00:00Z

    Jocelyn2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • My partner, friends, and I all stay in this beautiful home for 2 nights and 3 days. The home was clean and had such a welcoming feel to it! The view was absolutely stunning, from the sunsets to the sunrises. Everything was so beautiful. Lisa and Robert were wonderful and super helpful when needed. We even enjoyed morning love from their sweet pup when we opened the door for fresh air! The bathroom was amazing from the jetted tub to the steam shower. We are already planning to visit again! 11/10 would highly recommend! Thank you again, Lisa and Robert! -Your new Colorado Friends

    Cerrah2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Cannot speak highly enough of the amazing experience Lisa and Robert provide with their air bnb. It was perfect. The hottub backed up to the BLM land was incredibly picturesque and hiking around the land it’s self was such a treat. They thought of everything and made us feel at home . Thanks so much for all you do .

    Jaclynn2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is absolutely amazing. Sparkling clean, amazing view, insanely nice bathroom. We used the hot tub almost everyday and it was magical. Would absolutely reccomend staying here. Robert and Lisa were the best hosts!

    Lainey2019-12-08T00:00:00Z

We’d stay again for sure.

Highly, highly recommended & we hope to stay here again. Wish we had more time in Santa Fe!

  • Terry was an excellent host. He was very kind and attentive before our arrival and during our stay. Respectful of our privacy and he truly cares about his guests interests and well-beings. Not to mention, his property is stunning. There is a full panoramic view of four mountain ranges. The stars are the clearest I’ve ever seen at night. If you are considering staying here, stop considering and just do it! Beautiful, unique location, wonderful host. Say no more.

Your immaculate, detached casita awaits just off the famous Turquoise Trail, just 10 minutes from the artsy town of Madrid (famous for its Christmas lights!) and an easy drive to the Santa Fe Plaza, Meow Wolf, Georgia O'Keefe and great restaurants and museums. Private entrance, spacious bedroom, separate living area with daybed, bathroom, kitchenette, and amazing views!
From the large parking area, pass under a charming adobe artist's gate and walk across the quiet, flagstone-paved garden to your own private casita. Comfortable Adirondack chairs invite you to rest on the covered porch. Once inside, you'll be surprised how much space you can enjoy. The bedroom has a comfy queen bed, plenty of storage, and windows with uninterrupted views of the San Marcos plateau. Keep them open! A separate, equally spacious living area offers a daybed that can be made up into a second, twin bed at no extra charge (let us know if you plan to use it for sleeping). The kitchenette offers a convenient fridge, microwave and everything you need to make coffee/tea in the morning. State-of-the-art heating/air conditioning keeps the space comfortable year round, although you will want to open the windows at night to enjoy the cool high desert air. Views from the living room look northeast to the Lone Butte and Eaves Movie Ranch. Be sure to stay up and watch the stars come out!
The Turquoise Trail is a scenic drive between Santa Fe and Albuquerque that runs through historic mining towns nestled in the valleys between hills with 100-mile views. The quaint town of Madrid, just 10 minutes down the road, offers a mile-long walk among charming shops, artist studios and casual restaurants that serve delicious New Mexican cuisine and host live music. The unique beauty and history of Santa Fe is just 23 minutes North, with exceptional dining, shopping, museums and entertainment. Take a walk up Canyon Road on a Friday night when the art galleries host receptions for new exhibits (free refreshments!). Nibble a carnita while people-watching on the shaded Santa Fe Plaza. Explore the museums, the Cathedral, and the shops, while drinking in the almost-constant Southwest sunshine. Expand your adventure with day trips to Bandelier National Monument, the Bradbury Science Museum at Los Alamos, and hiking or horseback riding in the Cerrillos Hills, the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and Abiquiu/Ghost Ranch. We can provide suggestions for a variety of activities, particularly local day hikes.

  • Beautiful and peaceful place, stunning views- easy access to Madrid and Santa Fe yet the feeling of being away.

    Lyn2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • I loved staying in the Kachina house! There were fresh flowers and tea in the kitchen. I saw the most beautiful sunrise in the backyard! It is a little further from Santa Fe than I had originally realized, but it made it that much more cozy and quiet. I would definitely stay here again.

    Bethany2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Deb's place is fantastic. It's outside the city so it's a peaceful place to relax. The neighbors and their dog Ricky are wonderful. Ricky led us on a short hike. We can't wait to come back.

    Rachel2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place to stay to explore Sante Fe, Madrid and Alberquerque. Just enough off the beaten track to enjoy the peace and quiet and experience the beautiful stars. Deb greeted as when we arrived and gave us lots of recommendations for places to go and to,eat. The little Casita was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Warm and cosy with everything you needed. I can not recommend it highly enough. So comfortable and cosy.

Located in a quiet SW Santa Fe neighborhood, the attached, 165 sq ft. casitia has a private entrance, small patio & a bistro set to enjoy coffee outside. Located about 9 miles from the Plaza, 3 miles from Meow Wolf & 3 miles from Museum Hill. Walking & biking paths are just out the door. Queen bed. The kitchenette has a mini frig, microwave, coffee pot and hot water dispenser. We provide utensils, dishes, coffee, tea & quik bkfst . The bath has a large walk in shower. Park on the driveway.
Our quiet neighborhood does not have street lights. Great for viewing the night sky. Just be aware it is a little tricky to find us the first time if it is dark.
Santa Fe is known for beautiful art and great restaurants. One of the best is just 1.5 miles away, The Ranch House! For the best breakfast burrito, try El Parasol, 1.3 miles. Be sure to check out the dinosaurs on Dinosaur Trail Road. If visiting the VA hospital or Presbyterian Medical Center, they are about .5 miles.
  • Sarah was a super helpful host. She is located in a residential area and I felt very safe there. Great walking trails. Hope to return next year. Thanks

Our place is close to public transport. You’ll love the place because of the ambiance, good for solo adventurers and business travelers. There is a sunshield to prevent excessive heat during the day plus an extractor fan in the skylight. There are no drapes but you'll be quite far enough from the road for the unlikelihood of peeping passers-by (!) and the morning sun should greet you filtered through the great pinon tree.
  • Interesting, intelligent, engaging conversation with host and guests. Secure, clean location within walking distance of train station and downtown area.

    Robert2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful place to stay! I loved being in the sunroom where I could watch the moon at night and wake up with the sunshine. All of the instructions were very clear and the host made me feel very comfortable. It's a great way to experience Santa Fe!

    Elizabeth2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Christopher and Erika are outstanding hosts with a beautiful property that has an authentic Santa Fe feel to it. Waking up to the New Mexico sunrise pouring through the pines was amazing. Everything was immaculately clean, and the engaging conversation with the hosts over a cup of tea was a welcomed added bonus. I highly recommend this particular room for single travelers or Christopher's other rooms at this property for couples that are looking for a warm, inviting place to stay while in Santa Fe.

    Daniel D.2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you, Christopher! Delightful stay with music, sun in the morning, stars at night. Such great energy in the house. Would highly recommend.

    Antonia2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • My stay with Chris was fantastic! His home has wonderful decor and a great ambience. Evefything from the bedrooms, to the kitchen, to the bathroom was spotless! The sun room was very comfortable and much roomier than the picture suggests. The location was great (very central to food, drink, and attractions). I will certainly stay again if I am in town.

    Terry2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Christopher is a wonderful host. He's warm and kind and has a lovely home. Anyone will enjoy their stay at this place

    Nandita2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Christopher was a wonderful host, and the sun room was an incredible place to wake up to each morning!

    Arcelia2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as described, the sunroom is a small, beautiful room with a comfortable bed, a down quilt, and a sense of sleeping in the manzanitas among stars and moon at night, waking to sunshine. Christopher is an excellent host, calm and good natured. It's a gorgeous house, both in Santa Fe style and European feel. The room can be cold at night (there's a good little space heater) and hot in the day, so it's best if you love natural surroundings.

Set on a cul-de-sac, the home is located 5 minutes away from a sports center, 3 shopping malls, and theaters, and is a 15-minute drive to downtown Santa Fe. The friendly neighborhood includes a park and walking/bike trail. The house has 3 bedrooms, shared living areas including living room, bathroom, kitchen, dining room, laundry room, and yard. The private bedroom includes a walk-in closet, bed, towels, soap, and side tables. * cats on property *
Your host works out of the home so most of the day the house is mostly occupied by guests. There's plenty of space to do work and/or watch TV. We are happy to share recommendations about things to do and places to go; restaurants, activities, etc.
The wonderful clean neighborhood that includes a park and bike trail.
  • It's a gorgeous house - the bedroom and amenities were pristine and functional - on a quiet, residential street.

Very quiet, 1000 ft of living space, perfect location - 3 mi frm the plaza, easy access to I-25 and 285 . Off street parking. Friendly cat shares the space. Close to Ten Thousand Waves, Santa Fe Photographic Workshops, St. John's College, Santa Fe Opera and Santa Fe Institute. Bedroom w/ queen bed, Living rm, kitchen, 2 private gardens. Lots of natural light! worldwide photos and artifacts throughout. Washer dryer available for a fee of $4/ load... we are in a desert, use water wisely.
This charming house has a cozy interior, comfy queen-sized bed, kitchen, living and dining room and a private front garden, back patio and large back yard that opens to open space with a bike path just across the arroyo. The kitchen is well equipped, My home is in this quiet residential neighborhood. It is less than a block from neighborhood parks, a walking/bike trail and city bus stops and the new kiss and ride train station is about a quarter mile away, an easy walk. It's a lovely place for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. The optional 2nd bedroom has a single bed with a trundel single for a fee. The laundry room is shared however if your stay is short will never be used while you are there, if longer than a week then Karen, the manager will make arrangements with you when you will not be there so really it is never used when you are there. Please note that Kitty ... the resident cat... does share the space with you!
This is a nice quiet neighborhood. The backyard backs up to an arroyo with walking and biking trails on the far side of it. The bike trails actually go all the way downtown, about 2 1/2 miles. There is an Albertsons walking distance to the house on St Francis and Zia along with little eateries. Personally I usually go downtown to some of our wonderful New Mexican restaurants or to Harry's Roadhouse. We are happy to give you hints or help choosing places to visit, eat or explore. In the winter or summer we are just 35 minutes from the ski basin, perfect for skiing, snow shoeing, hiking or viewing the aspens. Ten Thousand waves is on the way back for the perfect end to a day outdoors. Museum HIll is just 5 minutes away with world class museums. The Plaza and Canyon Road are less than 10- minutes away with all they have to offer - galleries, museums, artisans, restaurants...
  • This is a lovely and comfortable house. Super convenient to the downtown area, and we we were able to walk to the station to catch the commuter train when we decided to spend a day in Albuquerque. The neighborhood is quiet and the house is private. A nice place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. It was so nice to have coffee on the counter and lots of local information to browse. Kitty the cat was a lovely host and kindly submitted to a lot of petting. She made the house even more homey. We would like to return, and will recommend Kim’s place to anyone vacationing in Santa Fe.

Our home is a holy-haven for those who value meditation, mindfulness, eco-awareness, community living, and somewhat rustic conditions. Towards this goal, we ask that people who stay here are scent and chemical free; stay at least three nights; and are comfortable with our guidelines. There is access to a loft which has a futon mattress on the floor and space for mats; great for families, students, tribal folks. Extras: inspirational books, art supplies, omnidirectional hiking, and vast vistas.
The space we offer is a private bedroom with queen bed, desk, “coffee table”, chair, bedside table, shelf, an additional seat or surface for things; plus a loft which has a futon mattress on the wood floor, carpet, lots of space, and nice views. More chairs, mats and bedding are available for children or travel companions. The downstairs space has radiant floor heating, rough/cut wood ceilings, walls of beautiful mud-mica-straw plaster on “green” pumice blocks. The result is warm and earthy. Beyond the room (and loft), around the hallway, is the original bathroom with toilet and sink. That is only for airbnb guests, not for residents. Beyond the kitchen and great room is a newer bathroom, spacious and well lit. The shower there is both for airbnb guests as well as for one resident. There are grab bars near the toilet, shower area, and tiled sink. Parking is adjacent to the house. There are no streetlights, so star and moon clarity is ours to celebrate. The great room is available for spiritual practice, and the kitchen available from 7 AM to 7 PM. Pets are welcome (each one counts as a guest). We do offer Wi-Fi, though we unplug the modem when it is not being used (Airbnb guests are welcome to plug it in as needed). We also have a booster if the signal is not strong enough in airbnb space. We are a TV free zone, value hearing the close-by sounds of nature, and request any online live streaming be audible only within the airbnb private space. Thanks!
We live near the river/riverbed, off of on a quiet road, so walks are available night or day. We often hear coyote at night. There is a lovely park adjacent with play equipment for little people. At certain parts of the year, on certain days, there is a little preschool next-door, from which sounds of playing children can be heard. One neighbor have a dog who announces new arrivers. Her name is Lila snd she is easily befriended. When resident has a cat who is very agile and friendly. She loves to go up into the loft, but we prefer she not go up there.
  • Quiet. Tranquil. Nature. Serene. Off the beaten path, “Old Santa Fe” style and hospitality from an aware, gentle and kind host.

  • Rahmaneh's home is truly a meaningful experience. It's clean, comfortable and convenient for anyone passing through. The grounds have beautiful views and trails and goats. If you're looking for a mindful retreat, this is the perfect spot. Rahmaneh is kind and wise. I cannot think of a better host.

    Katherine2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Rahmaneh space is a very special place with a very special woman. My boyfriend and I loved making hot tea that was provided in the morning and enjoying the sun come up on the loft upstairs. We truly enjoyed staying with Rahmaneh and talking to her.

    Stephanie2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Eclectic vibe and warm yet down to earth. We were given a warm welcome and even a yoga class to relieve my back pain. Rahmaneh herself was thoughtful and kind, she gave us our space as if we were part of the family. My daughter enjoyed sleeping at the loft.

    Alex2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Rahmaneh was very calm, kind, and open. She was also a great communicator. The place was exactly as described and my stay definitely added to my Santa Fe experience. I also enjoyed the quiet solitude of being away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas and being out in the beauty of nature. I definitely left feeling more grounded and centered.

    Michael2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • Had a fantastic time staying at Rahmenah's! I was cozy and comfortable in the space, despite frigid temps in Santa Fe (11 degrees!), and it was so quiet and calm on the property. Felt good to see stars at night. Made a lot of use of the electric kettle, there was a mini fridge in the room but i left this unplugged and just used the main fridge in the kitchen for a few provisions. Piping hot showers were heated by solar power, so I opted to shower in evenings to make sure I got the best temperature water. Rahmenah keeps an early schedule and asks guests to be mindful of noise in the evenings, and to practice recycling/compost with waste materials -- easy to do as all bins are labeled, and the AirBnB space has a private parking space and entry. Next time I'm in Santa Fe, I hope to stay here -- highly recommend!

    Elizabeth2019-12-17T00:00:00Z

  • Nice little nook for those in town. Private bathroom and kitchenette space. Only issue is it's in a gated community that would make getting a lyft/uber/cab a little difficult, but otherwise we felt very safe and would stay there again!

  • This is a fantastic place to stay for exploring the Santa Fe area. The room is spacious and has a lovely balcony to hang out on and you have access to communal parts of the house like washing machine and kitchen. Be aware that is does take around 20 minutes to get into the heart of Santa Fe from here but the room was such a good deal that it was worth it to me.

    Brian2020-03-10T00:00:00Z

A new home that I had built in 2015 in a great neighborhood. You will be 20 minutes away from Down Town Santa Fe, 8 minutes form Santa Fe Regional Airport and Meow Wolf. There is also a bus stop .6 miles away, 11 minute walk. Check in will be very easy. I got a key less lock on the front door and will send you the code on check in so you can get in anytime day or night.

Madrid is a magical little town 20 miles from Santa Fe and 40 miles from Albuquerque on the beautiful Turquoise Trail. The Shops, galleries and restaurants are famous with the thousands of tourists that visit and enjoy their stays in our town. Most people live off-grid to some degree and our Casita is in keeping with that cool vibe. You will truly have a delightful experience!
  • This is a gem in Madrid and convenient to Santa Fe. Plenty of privacy in a barn-like structure with a little private yard. Decor is creates a homey feminine atmosphere. Camp toilet is surprisingly comfortable. The hostess was very kind and welcoming.

  • Cinda and Brie were excellent hosts! Cinda was quick with responses and Brie took care of everything while I was there. Brie was quick to accomodate, helpful, cheery and then gave me space just as quickly. This is a cute little glamping studio decorated in a magical way. I loved the heated bed.

  • This is a very nice place to stay if you are looking for something simple. Amazing host and really great area.

    Tatum2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place is truly magical––from the city itself to the actual space, and the two incredibly kind and artistic ladies running it. I couldn't have asked for a better stay. Cinda was extremely accommodating upon arrival and both Bri and Cinda were on top of our communication throughout. If you're thinking this is too good to be true, think again! The space is exactly as pictured and has all the necessary amenities (not pictured: the amazing view of the night sky right outside your doorstep and window). Santa Fe was a quick (and beautiful) 24 min. drive away...I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Madrid or Santa Fe. I will absolutely be back someday!

The mules and dogs were the icing on top!!! Will be staying here again when visiting the area. Also, communication is great and you get replies right away. 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 all the way!

  • We had a great stay. It is exactly as described and as pictured: beautifully decorated, picturesque, comfortable, very clean. Loved the ease of checking in and the responsiveness of the host.

    Clare2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! El Burro is absolutely beautiful! The photos of the place sold me on it, but they don't do the house justice. From the moment we stepped in, we were in awe of the cleanliness and thoughtful decor. The whole house was amazing! I also appreciated that Sarah made it clear that she was available if needed, but she let us have our privacy. Definitely recommend staying here if you get the opportunity!

    Lacey2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah was an amazing host, and the house was a great get away from the busy city life

    Nicole2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah’s place was so so great! It was the perfect spot for a quiet weekend getaway. Beautiful views, prime location, and lovely atmosphere. Would strongly recommend!

    Jessica2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah's spot was great! Far enough away from the city center to provide a retreat-like atmosphere, close enough that it was easy to adventure during the day. Driving to and from was even enjoyable.

    Mary Clara2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time staying at El Burro! It was such a sweet escape from the chaos of daily life. Sarah was incredibly responsive from the time we booked our stay through the time we left. We were particularly impressed by the cleanliness of the space, the beautiful view, and the HEATED FLOORS!

Authentic, family and pet friendly two bedroom casita in family compound with all the amenities.
COVID-19 - What we are doing We know these are uncertain times and want to assure you of the steps we are taking for your health and safety. All surfaces, cabinets, knobs, light switches, remotes, high use wall areas, floors and furniture are bleached between each guest. We removed all accent pillows and extra blankets. We usually leave many towels but have started leaving only what's needed for each visit. Please let us know if you need more. We have foaming hand soap and encourage its use. Please let us know if there's anything more we can do. Thank you for considering our space Quiet two bedroom casita in the historical Village of Agua Fria on the Camino Real. fifteen minutes from the plaza and Canyon Road. Five minutes from Meow Wolf and walking trails. The casita has a queen size bed and a trundle bed, which pulls out and makes a queen or can serve as two singles. There is a fireplace in the master bedroom. The kitchen is stocked with appliances to make the most comfortable living. The bathroom has a tub and shower. We offer a television and wifi. The casita has a fenced yard accommodating dogs and children with an outdoor grill and table set. Parking for two next to the casita with additional down the road. The Aqua Fria village is one of the first villages created when the Spaniards conquered Santa Fe therefore our neighbors have been here for generations creating family compounds that are situated in the old farming fields of Santa Fe. The area feels rural yet completely centrally located in the city. We are available at all times if a problem or need arises.
Our neighborhood is rich in history and houses locals who are related and have been here for generations. The neighborhood has a variety of compounds where families live close and yet there is space between the compounds. It's rural and gives the feeling of time standing still, providing a quiet, authentic Santa Fe experience.
  • We were looking for something a little off the beaten path, and Tish’s place really fit that bill. It was close enough to drive to everything, but far enough away to be quiet and away from the crowds. The best part was the little outdoor space. The dogs really loved to run around outside! It was a very cozy space, with everything we could have needed.

    Amanda2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Tishas place is nice and private. Everything was clean and was you would expect.

    Joel2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place was amazing. So close to all of the fun stuff in Santa Fe like Meow Wolf and bars and shops but also out in the beautiful, scenic desert. I could have stayed forever. Super well stocked shower with hot water and wonderful amenities. Cozy beds, blankets, and couches to snuggle up with. I really appreciated that! Kitchen and was well stocked with a lot of appliances and condiments, and everything was super clean. Cute fenced in yard offered an amazing sunset view and was great for the dogs to roam around in. Would stay here again, again, and again. Thank you!

    Hannah2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • A gorgeous place! The bed was also super comfy! It is a 10 minute drive to meow wolf and about 15-20 min from downtown.

    Olivia2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing little spot! The bedroom fire place (Kiva) was cozy and relaxing. Perfect fenced yard for our dogs. It was sparkling clean and a perfect stay. Can’t wait to come back 💜

    Jennah2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is one of the best places to stay in Santa Fe! It's so close to everything! Plus, the kitchen had fresh eggs and cookies. Would definitely stay here again.

  • great community!

    Shine2018-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • As it is very well known, hostels are communal spaces. Expect shared bathrooms, kitchen, and leisure spaces outside. However, as it is the nature in Santa Fe, everyone is so nice and welcoming and has their own travel stories to share. There was a mix crowd of races, ages, and backgrounds that was a pretty good reflection of the best of humanity. As a frequent traveler to Santa Fe, I was not able to stay with friends last minute but had always driven past the hostel. I enjoyed my stay and would consider staying again.

    Karen2018-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a slightly quirky old-time hostel (that is, a simple morning chore is required) with VAST quantities of leftover food (a great variety of groceries including baked goods) provided by Whole Foods (I believe).

This space sleeps 4 comfortably, but does have room for up to 6 people. The kitchen is fully stocked and a good size. The living area is comfortable and bright. Perfect for a dinner party, or a quiet evening.
The neighborhood is quiet and family friendly. Children ride their bikes around, people walk their dogs and there is a nice sense of calm all around. And now there is a brand new playground within five minutes walking distance.
  • Great location with lots of amenities. Francesca and her husband were wonderful hosts and quick to respond to questions.

    Bethany2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Francesca was a wonderful host! The house has everything you could possibly need for even an extended stay. I stayed for two months and the only thing I had to buy was groceries and laundry detergent! It may not be close to downtown activities, but it's worth it for the lovely, quiet neighborhood. The house was clean and decorated nicely, and Francesca made sure we had everything we needed. She made checking in and out a breeze!

    Madison2019-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect place for anybody working in Santa Fe on contract. Comfortable, clean, and Francesca is a wonderful host!

    Erik2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Francesca's place was an excellent homebase while our guides were working in Santa Fe. Communication with her was seamless and easy. She's super accommodating!

    Tony2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • We rented this house for 3 months while we were in between homes. The house is well-equipped for all kitchen needs. The master bed is very comfortable. (we did not use the other bed) There is plenty of space for multiple people or a family. There is a fenced yard and a 2 stall garage. The owner was flexible and accommodating. Although we already lived in Santa Fe, the owner provides a "manual" containing various tips and tourist options in Santa Fe, as well as describes all the amenities in the home. A great place to stay if you are using your own car.(or a rental car)

    Mike2017-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Francesca was a wonderful host and the house was exactly as listed. She was very welcoming and was always available if we needed anything. I definitely recommend this place if you are visiting Santa Fe.

In the SW wing of our house, is your 2Bd 2Bath apt w/beautiful mountain & city views. Although our apt doesn’t have a full kitchen, there’s a dining room that’s ‘hotel suite style’ w/ a mini fridge, microwave, crockpot, toaster, hot water pot, coffee maker. There’s also an outdoor hot tub to take in the city lights (shared with the hosts). We start your journey off with a few essential supplies (coffee, cream, teas, waters, oatmeals, fruits). We also live next door, should you need anything.
We are in a peaceful neighborhood just outside of the south end of Santa Fe, near Sunset Springs Resort. While only being 20 minutes from downtown, you can view the city lights twinkling at night. The apartment comfortably sleeps 4, with two bedrooms & two baths. There is also a small futon that flattens into a mattress, but is small and not long enough for most adults to sleep on (more for a child).
We are in a rural area 10 min from the southside of town (Santa Fe Airport, Presbyterian Hospital) and about 20 min from the downtown Plaza area (45/55 min from Ski Santa Fe- depending weather conditions). The restaurant ‘The Blue Heron’ at Sunrise Springs Resort is only a 3 min drive down the road (or a short walk) and open to day guests. They also have beautiful water features, a great spa, and large hot spring-like pools that overlook the pond at the resort.
  • It is a wonderful place with extremely thoughtful touches everywhere. Very clean and comfortable.

    Michelle2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely host and hostess who respect your privacy. The accommodations are very comfortable. The rural surroundings, restful.

  • So sweet couples, prepared turkey, cakes for us in Thanksgiving.

  • Christina’s and Jake were wonderful hosts. They were kind, sensitive to our needs, hospitable and very easy to communicate with. The house was spacious and extremely clean with unique touches. Often the houses in Nee Mexico do not have adequate heating systems but Christina’s place was very warm and comfortable on the cold nights. We will definitely be staying there again in the future.

    Mia2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Sweet clean and. Convenient. Very quiet. Beautiful view . Great deal and we highly recommend Christina and her casita!

    María2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, nice 2 bed/2 bath. Christina provides plenty of fruit and breakfast items. You also have a small living room, breakfast area... Games for inside and out and you can even have an outdoor fire if it isn't too windy. A great place.

    Sharon2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • We were so pleased with this sweet space and would definitely stay here again next time we visit Santa Fe. It’s a great stay for the price and there are so many nice touches including some great amenities in the pantry. Highly recommended!

Be welcomed to the Santa Fe International Hostel. We look forward to hosting travelers for a minimum two nights. This is our most popular accommodation. Your room will be a private room with double bed that accommodates you and up to one other person. (If you prefer a room with bunk beds, please let us know and we will accommodate.) Cleaning supplies are provided. After hours, check ins can be accommodated with prior arrangement. Check out only, after reception opens at 7 AM.
We are centrally located on Cerrillos Road, Santa Fe's main commercial drag. We are 1.25 miles from the Plaza, close to groceries, cafes, and more.
  • The staff I interacted with were all very friendly. There's parking on site which is helpful if you're driving. Close to a lot of stuff- right up the street from Meow Wolf if you're hoping to check that out. Free coffee and food for breakfast if you are interested.

    Mallory2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The Santa Fe hostel is the perfect place for anyone needing an economical stopover in, or retreat to, Santa Fe. The private room was just as expected. The requisite chores build solidarity and keep u interacting with the environs in a stimulating way. Whether u have chosen Santa Fe as a place of rest of play, u can be assured this is the best place to stay for the money. In case you haven't heard, Whole Foods donates load and a half of food to this place. In the massive commercial fridge there were like 10 pounds of fresh guacamole, all sorts of fancy nut milk and vegan products, the delicious Siggi's skyr, and tons of fresh veggies, fruits, sandwiches from the ready made department, snacks, just anything rlly. A vast array of spices and cooking utensils in the commercial style kitchen with two professional grade 4 burner gas stoves and ovens and a massive vent fan overhead. Everyone was helpful and kind. I definitely hope to return.

  • I loved being a part of this community for three days. Wonderful place, warm friendly people. Clean accommodations. It was fun to look in the fridge area every morning to see what new things had come in from Whole Foods.

    Kathy2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Bus stop right outside - bus no 2 goes right to the plaza. On Saturday and Sunday first bus is 830 am. Then every half hour. Better on weekdays. If you call the number on the bus stop sign they will answer and help you! Counter Culture is a restaurant right 3 blocks away. Train stop is close and bus no 2 picks up there and drops you off right across the street from the hostel. $1.00 fare or $2.00 all day.

Our 100 year old adobe house is located in the heart of the Santa Fe Baca District. We are 1.8 miles from the plaza-- a 10 minute drive and about a 35-40 minute walk. You will have your own private entrance and private bathroom. There are walking trails close by and great restaurants are in walking distance. We are a 15-20 minute walk to the Santa Fe Farmers Market, and we are two blocks from public transportation. Please be aware this room is for 1 guest per night.
The room has a private entrance and bathroom and has been decorated with Latin American folk art, and is authentic Adobe. The room has a coffee maker, small fridge, tea kettle, towels, a VERY comfy bed (it's a soft mattress), wifi and a porch. Please be aware our adobe does not have AC, but stays pretty cool during the summer and a fan is provided. The room does not have a TV. You will be sharing the rest of the house with me, my husband Luis and Roommate Martin and our cat Sam. Please not this is a very old Adobe home and ceiling height is about 6 feet.
The Baca district is perfect example of old adobe Santa Fe. Families who have been here for generations live here, as well as newly arrived families. This neighborhood has become popular with art studios and is blocks away from great restaurants (Tuneup, Counter Culture) and bike trails (acequia rail trail). We are 15 minutes walking to the famous Santa Fe Farmers Market. If you want an authentic Santa Fe experience you have found the right place.
  • What a sweet little room this is! Perfect for a solo traveler—it’s very private, but Alicia was always available if I had a question and gave excellent suggestions. The bed is literally the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on.

  • A classically decorated Santa Fe adobe room with a very comfortable bed in a great section of town that is close to all the great city sites. Alicia put together one the most comprehensive city guides I have ever seen!! Enjoy

    Cynthia2020-01-01T00:00:00Z

  • Christopher is an excellent host. His home is convenient to downtown and yet has a rural atmosphere. He offers a variety of rooms from a double bed room with private bath and TV, to a small room for 1 person with a shared bath. Christopher's place is my go-to home in Santa Fe since 2015 when I first stayed with Christopher.

    Allen2020-03-05T00:00:00Z

    Kathleen2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • As someone who loves visual culture, I fell in love with Christopher's little Chapel Room, which he built specifically to accommodate a splendid carved Indonesian door he'd acquired. Walking through that doorway truly feels like you are entering a magic portal! Christopher provided all the amenities I needed, and I was grateful he was able to accommodate me at the last minute. I recommend.

    Diana2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • One of the most delightful 12-hour stays I'll ever have. Christopher is a wonderful host. The experience -- from his morning piano recital to his witty and hilarious real-life anecdotes--is one-of-a-kind. *This* is why we travel. • My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Deb’s cozy casita! The location is perfect and secluded in a beautiful and tranquil area. We had everything we needed and more! The casita was gorgeous, sparkling clean and very comfortable. I would’ve stayed longer if I could’ve. Deb was also kind enough to recommend us some nearby restaurants which were absolutely delicious. Deb made us feel nothing less than at home and we won’t think twice to stay at Deb’s when we go back to Santa Fe!

  • A bit out of the way, but it's a great spot. Quiet with awesome views. Would stay again.

    Dustin2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Oh my gosh. This space that Deb has created is beautiful. It’s new and everything was clean. Thoughtful touches such as flowers to greet us when we walked in. She is great with communication and always had a quick response. For sure will be coming back and spending more then just a night. She’s not kidding when she says you can see the entire night sky. Would recommend her place again and again to any friend and or family! Make time and stay here if you can! It’s worth it!

    Mackaylie2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I booked Deb’s place last minute for a place to rest our head on our way across the country for a big move. We were truly enchanted by the space and wished we weren’t just passing through. It was easy to get to yet tucked away and private and peaceful location, with beautiful views day and night, very thoughtful design and warm touches throughout down to a fresh bottle of half and half for coffee in the am. We will definitely be back in the future. Thanks again for a wonderful and luxurious stay.

There is also a bus stop .6 miles away, 11 minute walk. Check in will be very easy. I got a key less lock on the front door and will send you the code on check in so you can get in anytime day or night.
  • I had a great time staying with Joseph! Many amenities, but what really put it over the top with his great hospitality! He's a great host and I would recommend to anyone, especially of they like to hang out with their host

  • Nice home and room. Neighborhood seemed a bit crowded but overall it was worth the price I paid. Melissa was very friendly and her husband as well. Thanks again for the hospitality.

  • Very nice neighborhood to start with. Kind and respectful family with a nice, clean, modern house with a comfortable room. Would definitely stay again!

  • Good location near Sprouts Market and Cerrillos businesses, nice neighborhood.

  • Good location, great value

  • It’s clean and cozy. Melissa has a lovely home and a beautiful family (and an adorable doggie!). I really enjoyed staying here. The neighborhood is quiet and seems safe - I had a car packed full of a summer’s worth of stuff and nobody bothered it. The bathroom and bedroom were sparkling clean. The kitchen is childproofed, and well-appointed with dishes, pots&pans, and a Keurig with coffee pods. It was a good place to stay for a visit in Santa Fe.

    Meghan2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • My 2 night stay in Melissa’s home was excellent. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower worked perfectly - what more can I ask for? The house is a 15ish minute drive to Downtown Santa Fe and is close to several local coffee shops and restaurants (also very close to Meow Wolf). This is the perfect place for a cheap stay in a clean room with a lovely family. Thanks for a great stay.

  • Melissa and Joe were great hosts. My friend and I were staying for an extended time in Santa Fe and could not have chosen a better place. They were accommodating and kept the place/bathroom clean. We also had access to the kitchen to cook. The neighborhood was safe and closeby to many places like good restaurants and meow wolf. Summers can be hot in Santa Fe, but the ceiling fan and air conditioning kept us cool throughout our stay.

Welcome to Santa Fe! This charming studio cottage and my home share the property in this quiet residential neighborhood. The cottage is full of Santa Fe charm with a cozy, pretty interior, skylights and lots of natural light, a fully-stocked kitchen corner, handmade cabinets, Mexican tile, comfy queen-sized bed, and a private garden patio. It's a quiet haven but centrally located, just 2 miles from the Plaza/downtown. It's a lovely place for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
Bed and Bath - there are four pillows, several sets of sheets and towels, and two cozy down comforters. Kitchen - I provide organic dark French roast coffee beans, a coffee grinder and French press, half & half, black and herb tea, instant oatmeal, honey and organic sugar. There are plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, silverware and kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and an electric kettle. There's a full stove and oven, a toaster, and a small fridge with a tiny freezer.
Quiet streets, two parks within 2 blocks, a large park a mile away. Bike/walking trail about 1/2 mile away. Five movie theaters within a 10-minute radius (mainstream and art cinemas), 2 miles to the Plaza (people-watching, galleries, shops, theater & music, restaurants, museums). Several cafes, bakeries, restaurants and a brew pub are within 1 block to 1 mile away. You'll have a binder in the cottage with info on restaurants, museums, outdoor activities, as well as some maps and other brochures.

You’ll love our warm and cozy casita in a tranquil setting on a private six acre high desert property just south of Santa Fe. We offer quiet and solitude, expansive mountain views and stargazing. Hiking trails are closeby. Our casita is perfect for couples and solo adventurers traveling without children. We're 15 minutes away from shopping, a half hour from the Santa Fe Plaza, close to the artsy towns of Cerillos, Madrid and Galisteo.
Our casita is a round adobe building in a private setting with lots of light. It features a fireplace, skylight, queen bed, views and a new walk-in shower.
We love living here because of the quiet, privacy and the big skies and expansive views. Our guests tell us they value the opportunity to get away from traffic, noise and the hustle and bustle. We offer a tranquil retreat from all that. At the same time, we’re just a short drive to one of the most unique and interesting cities in the U.S.—-historic Santa Fe!
  • This was an absolutely lovely place to stay. Stunning mountain views. About 30 min drive to downtown Santa Fe. Would highly recommend!

    Suzanne2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • James place is beautiful, comfortable, and in a stunning location. Only about 25 minutes from downtown Santa Fe. Highly recommend!

    Melanie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The Casita was the best Airbnb experience we’ve had in years. James brings it back to the old years where the host chats with you, gives you local tips, and let’s you feel very welcome. We were so central between Santa Fe and Albuquerque at their place. It was secluded, quiet and quaint. We loved the New Mexican feel at the house. We hiked nearby, visited Meow Wolf, and Ojo Caliente. We definitely will stay at the Casita again.

    Christopher2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at the casita! James was very helpful in terms of giving us some local insight since it was our first time in Santa Fe. The casita was clean with lots of extra blankets and the amenities were great. Having some breakfast available was a really nice touch since you’re a ways out from Santa Fe. We also loved all the reading material!

    Brianna2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great hospitality, lovely and interesting host. We loved the casita, it was perfect for our little Santa Fe getaway. Would highly recommend, we hope to visit again!

    Ash2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Charming casita, clean and lovely with amazing views and extremely gracious hosts. Great proximity to Santa Fe and the Turquoise Trail.

    Kaitlin2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • James’s Casita was lovely with many extra comforts and nice touches. Communication was excellent and local recommendations for dining and activities was much appreciated. Location south of Santa Fe was convenient to both Albuquerque and Santa Fe Plaza with beautiful scenerio in a quiet setting.

    Leonard2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • The circle casita is such a special place. Perfect for anyone looking to visit this part of New Mexico, without the hustle and bustle of downtown Santa Fe. The Casita is perfectly decorated, the bed was very comfortable, and James is a warm and friendly host. We really had such a lovely time here. Will definitely be back!

The house has an open-plan concept, featuring two large living/entertainment areas, a beautiful large kitchen, very roomy master king bedroom, 4 queen bedrooms, and 3 well stocked bathrooms. The many windows offer views of the Sangre de Christo Mountains and the local scenery. • Lovely roomy place with lots of outdoor area and extraordinary views Host is friendly helpful and right next door

    Holli2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Our ski group loved staying here! It was even more spacious than we anticipated based on the pictures.

    Natalie2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This house is exactly as advertised. It is impeccably clean, simply but tastefully furnished, and very complete; we wanted for nothing. The interior was truly expansive with two comfortable sofas in the living room and a large kitchen table. The back deck facing the mountains had ample seating and would be great in warmer weather, but we were able to take advantage of the hot tub. The kitchen was very well furnished and stocked with coffee and tea, half and half, all the condiments (oil, sugar, honey, spices, etc. ) so we didn't have to go to the grocery store our first day. Lynn added several touches that were beyond our usual B&B experience: vases of fresh flowers and sweet treats. The house had everything needed for a relaxing, comfortable home away from home. I would recommend it.

  • This home is absolutely phenomenal! Lynn was so warm, kind, and thoughtful. The backyard AND front yard have absolutely stunning views and sunsets. Lynn’s home had the BEST amenities I’ve ever seen in an Airbnb. The beds were so comfortable and there were so many great extra blankets and towels. I would absolutely rent this Airbnb again!
