  • We had a fantastic stay in the cabin, the weather was beautiful. It was exactly what we needed and great that our dog could enjoy the space too. Really nice to come back and relax in the hot tub after a long walk!

  • Perfect break away from the city. The cabin was great- provided everything we needed with amazing views! The dogs had a brilliant time. Would highly recommend. Thank you!

  • I booked this for me and my boyfriend for his birthday. It was amazing, the farm animals..hot tub..jacuzzi bath...quiet farm area...small cabin just for two...nearby beach and local pub...all were brilliant. We went to The Bank in Bude for tapas, rosies for lunch and prestons for lunch. Highly recommend all places. We visited summerleaze beach, the nearby beach (a 25-30 minute walk from the cabin) and did cliff walks which again I would highly recommend. Debbie and her partner were very helpful. We didn't need to contact them but they both visited us (when we checked in and before check out) so any questions we thought of we just asked them then, but they leave their number and were easy to contact. We are already planning on returning when the sun comes to visit as my boyfriend loves to surf but due to the weather he wasn't able to do this AND the cabin has a BBQ which next time we would love to have. Thank you & if you are a couple and are debating booking court farm cabin … you won't be disappointed :)

  • I absolutely loved it! The location was perfect, it was so peaceful and definitely worth the money, already looking to go back in the summer.

    Jessica2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • A really cosy cabin with everything we needed for a few days away before the Christmas madness! We didn’t use the hot tub due to the weather.. but the jacuzzi bath was amazing! The local pub Preston Gate is really friendly and does an amazing roast! Andrew and Debbie are really friendly and helpful and full of good recommendations for places to go. We’d love to return with the whole family and stay in the farmhouse.. will hopefully be in touch! Xx

  • A beautiful cabin, with stunning views from the garden and the hot tub.. We had such a special time, enjoying walks on the beaches in Bude and spending time relaxing in the hot tub.. We took our dog, who loved it there! Our hosts were so friendly and very helpful! We will definitely be visiting again :)

    Bexy2019-12-08T00:00:00Z

  • Amazing stay at Rosies Retreat, perfect relaxing get away, with the nicest little touches. Such a lovely host who was there for anything that we needed! Couldn’t of asked for a more wonderful stay. Will definitely be visiting again!

    Hannah2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Rosie's retreat was so so lovely. A warm welcome, easy check in, cake, biscuits and so much more on arrival. We couldn't have asked for more. Beautiful views of the cornish fields with sheep and horses around. Just the most relaxing time we've had in a long while!! Elizabeth is a great host and we can't wait to go back.

    Natalie2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay at the hut. The hut was very clean and the little touches were lovely and thoughtful. Great communication from the host. Would absolutely recommend this place for a perfect little getaway in a beautiful setting. Very sad to leave on our last morning.

    Natalie2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely cosy winter break here and were really impressed with the hut! It had everything we needed and we were really impressed by the thoughtful touches by Liz the host! She was really helpful and gave us loads of local recommendations! It was the perfect escape and we couldn’t recommend it enough!

    Matt2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the hut for 5 nights over New Year’s Eve and cannot fault the stay. Prior to the stay Elizabeth was really helpful with info about the stay and directions, and on arrival there were little treats for us which was lovely to arrive to after a long journey! The hut was spotless, warm and had a really homely feel. The hot tub was an added bonus! We got to meet Rosie the cat too, who was absolutely adorable. Elizabeth provided loads of information about the local area, like things to do and where to eat, which was really useful. We hope to go back to the hut in the near future - it was the perfect getaway

    Ellie2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! We stayed at Liz’s place for a relaxing break a few days before Christmas and it way exceeded our expectations! The Shepherd’s Hut is perfectly located, and is filled with loads of lovely touches - including fresh lemon cake and Prosecco! The hot tub is a delight after a day out walking. If you’re wondering whether to book...do it!

We offer a unique stay in a traditional Romany caravan furnished with some mod cons to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The caravan has electric stove, lights, television,DVD player and tea making facilities. There is a seperate bathroom with towels, robes and toiletries supplied. There is also a day cabin overlooking the meadow and woodland with a fine array of wildlife to be seen.Enjoy a romantic escape in a peaceful location but close to all amenities with Cornwall's famed coastline, surfing beaches and coastal footpath less than 2 miles away .Half a mile away is the historic Stannery village of Stratton with 2 pubs and a village store. Genuine Cornish pasties are available at the farm shop ,also about half a mile away ,and of course in Bude itself which ,while still retaining the charm of an oldfashioned seaside town ,has shops, restaurants, banks and pubs.We would highly recommend a visit to the nearby picturesque fishing villages of Boscastle and Clovelly.Or for those who may like to venture a little further afield there are the worldwide famed restaurants of Jamie Oliver's Fifteen at Newquay and Rick Stein's fish restaurant at Padstow. These are both within easy driving distance ,as is the The Eden Project and Heligan Gardens, two further highlights of this beautiful part of the world.
  • For a wonderful quirky getaway this is a lovely place to stay. Liz and jan the hosts are wonderful couple. It's in a lovely location near lots of lovely places.

    Suzanne2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is a rather special offering! If you don't like the idea of a Romany caravan, you obviously won't stay here, but it's the romantic of you who will love it. You are very close to nature and the garden is lovely, all created by Jan himself, including digging out the large pond. We saw a heron there one day. The whole setting is lovely. The breakfast provided in the cabin next to the caravan was great - cold meats, croissants, etc. and Liz and Jan could not have been more helpful and friendly, while not intrusive - the space is your own. This is a bit of an adventure - not just accommodation! Sort of 'out in the wild', although just a 5-10 min drive to 'civilisation' in Bude.

    John2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing piece of art with a lot of thoughtful touches. Me and my wife spent two days in this wonderland. Liz and Jan were away for the weekend, but they made sure that all was taken care including our breakfasts. Enid Blyton stories influenced me a lot during my childhood. I had only dreamt of staying in a gypsy caravan, but now the dream has come true. Thanks once again to Liz and Jan...

  • Liz and Jan are perfect hosts - with great local tips, a beautiful location and the incredible breakfast. Bude is such a beautiful part of the world and staying here really allowed us to live like a local. Thank you!

    Sam2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • What a cool space! This is like glamping in a professional botanical garden. You have three separate spaces: the caravan for sleeping, the separate lounge/eating area and the bathroom. You do have to go outside to access each, so if the weather is foul this might be a bit unpleasant. We felt a bit cramped in the bed and you can hear traffic from the road, but overall we were enchanted by the beauty of this space. Liz offered a wonderful assortment of foods for breakfast and we really enjoyed staying there! The hang out space overlooking the garden is a fantastic space to read and relax. We also enjoyed being close to fantastic hiking on the coast which was a highlight of our trip.

    Joanne2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I LOVED staying here. The caravan was super cute and cosy with so many thoughtful touches. The breakfast supplied was equally as lovely and Liz is a fabulous host. We visited some great country pubs and went on beautiful coastal walks. We also visited the local towns of Tintagel, Crackington Haven, and Boscastle, which were only a short drive away. This is a great place to stay if you like peace and quiet and want a relaxing holiday.

    Rosie2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was our return visit and we loved it just as much as the first time! Lovely personal touches and fantastic breakfast. Thank you!

  • My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the luxury hut on the hill. It was spotlessly clean with great facilities in a peaceful setting. The thoughtful touches such as the scones, milk and eggs were greatly appreciated! Thanks to Sarah and Kevin for a lovely chilled couple of days.

    Bekki2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic weekend. Amazing accommodation with lovely touches. We loved the cream tea on arrival. The hosts were very helpful and were on hand should we have needed anything. Great location with stunning views. Highly recommended. We would definitely go back.

  • Amazingly beautiful place and lovely hosts!

    Andreas2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best AirBnBs I have stayed in. Great facilities in a great location. Very clean and spacious, the ideal weekend get away. The hot tub is dreamy, get it lit and enjoy the view, even persevere in poor weather it is well worth it. Great location with great access to local towns and amenities. The Bush Inn is close for dinner out, it is workable when the weather is good, but equally a simple and short drive.

    Robert2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • I would definitely recommend this place - the photos don’t do the setting justice, even in less than glorious weather! Kevin and Sarah were great through the whole booking process, and had great pub recommendations.

    Andrew2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a lovely weekend at the shepherds hut. Absolutely loved our time here. The complementary eggs and cream tea were much appreciated. We loved having sheep as our neighbours and really enjoyed the quietness and tranquility. The hut is close to the SW Coastal path and we spent one day hiking to Bude - not for the faint hearted, but also highly recommended. We had a fantastic stay and hope to come back again in the summer.

    Rachel2020-01-26T00:00:00Z

This beautiful, hand crafted wooden cabin on wheels has everything you need for the perfect getaway. With direct access to footpaths leading on to the south west coast path, this is an ideal bolthole for walking or surfing holidays or just the perfect excuse to get away from it all. The tiny house sits in a quiet corner on our family farm in North Cornwall, just over 2 miles from the coast.
Our Tiny House is a beautiful wooden building 2.5m by 7m, situated on our small family farm. The walls, floor and roof are fully insulated and windows double glazed for winter stays. Inside there’s a full kitchen, living room area with a sofa bed and bathroom complete with shower and toilet. A ladder leads to the sleeping loft with a large double bed. The Tiny House was built 3 years ago as a ‘zero-footprint’ mobile studio on wheels and is powered by solar with gas for hot water. Our aim is to make it as eco-friendly as possible. The property is wired for 12 volt only, but we have now added the option to charge smaller 240v items like laptops etc via an extension lead to the house. There are also six USB points for charging phones and two cigar lighter sockets for other 12 volt equipment if required. Our Tiny House is a simple, comfortable retreat away from all the hustle and bustle of modern life. It has a cute private garden with deck and BBQ. Set away from the house, a 200m walk across the next field is a large deck and hammock looking out, down the valley which is perfect for enjoying a sunset drink, with a fire pit area perfectly positioned to sit and watch the sunset over the sea, and when dusk gives way to night, the fantastic display of stars. Whilst the tiny house is located on our remote farm surrounded only by fields, it is just 5 minutes from the A39, giving good access to the rest of beautiful Devon and Cornwall. The unspoilt nature reserve adjacent is the perfect place to walk and explore – a 2.5 mile walk will take you to the beautiful Marsland Mouth (where the Cornish coast path begins). A 40 minute walk across the valley sits the picturesque old village of Welcombe and fantastic pub, The Old Smithy. There are plenty of other amazing walks, beaches, pubs and places of interest nearby. Clovelly, Bude, Hartland, Tintagel and Boscastle are all within 40 minutes’ drive. Please note that any reviews before June 2019 refer to where the tiny house was previously located. This spot (only 200m away) is still available to use, exclusively for guests staying in the tiny house and has a driftwood deck, fire pit and hammock area. The tiny house is now found on the edge of the farm itself. You will still have the benefit of your own private entrance and private garden, but you may hear more farm type noises during the day! The description and pictures have been updated to reflect this and the pictures you see in the listing with sea view are of the old site which you are able to use.
The house is situated on our family farm, at the end of a small road. We are surrounded by green fields and woodland on all sides, with fantastic views looking west down the valley out to sea. Just 200m to the North is Marsland Valley Nature Reserve, which forms the north Devon-Cornwall border. Welcombe (Devon) and Morwenstow (Cornwall) are both quiet, friendly villages with rugged coastal walks, great cycle routes and cute old pubs.
  • Clean, warm and a fantastic opportunity to get away from the rat race. We loved it here and would happily go back. For our first ever Airbnb stay we could not have had a better experience. Living in central Birmingham a place in the middle of "knowhere" was just what we needed.

    Jacqui & Jon2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny house is absolutely lovely and very well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. It was really nice and cosy in the evenings with the log burner and just a great space to relax in.

    Gillian2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved staying here, really cute place, and the wood burner heated up amazingly well. Had everything needed for a quick getaway, my only regret is not booking longer. Welcombe beach nearby is amazing and the road on the way there is also very beautiful. Would definitely stay again :)

  • The Tiny House is wonderful! Spotless, cosy and a great rural escape

    Laura2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for three nights in the tiny house and had a wonderful time. The house is very well-equipped and designed. David told us that it was made bespoke by a local engineer and you can tell - the space works perfectly. The kitchen has everything you need, the beds are very comfy and the wood-burning stove was absolutely brilliant for warming up the living space in the evenings. This is a perfect location for exploring the wild coastline around Morwenstow and Hartland Quay. If you get chance, go with David on a coastal walk and get lots of local info as well as a beautiful hike over stunning cliffs. Thanks David and Maisie!

    Gill2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the cosy tiny house! We arrived late after travelling down and Maisie and David had left the light on for us and left it unlocked so we could get in. The fire had been set up ready for us and the table had a booklet of information for us which was very helpful. The bed was so comfy and for a wooden house, the heat was trapped perfectly even during Storm Denis. The only thing we weren’t expecting was the shower not being hands-free. Washing your hair one handed was a little tricky and ended up balancing the shower head on the mixer to wash my hair, then the rest of your body gets cold when it’s not under the water. Other than that, we loved it! Thank you for letting us stay ❤️

    Gemma2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Cute and cozy tiny house with a well laid out kitchen close to the beach with many areas to explore around with the car. We were able to heat it nicely even during storm Ciara.

    Brit2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful tranquil spot and a tiny house full of personality. We loved our stay here. The space exceeded our expectations and there were thoughtful touches like preparing our fire for us. A relaxed and calm getaway.

Our luxurious romantic shepherd's hut and wood-fired hot tub is available all year round. We provide you with everything we think you will need for your stay ~ beautiful french linen bedding, towels, bathrobes, hair dryer, fairy lights and all the wood for the wood-burner and hot-tub. Awaiting your arrival is a delicious complimentary Cornish cream tea and a chilled bottle of Prosecco, log burner and secluded hot tub, perfectly positioned for the beautiful views. Min night stay 2 nights.
Hutterly Beautiful is the perfect summer and winter retreat - for the chillier days, light the log-burner and cosy down with a glass of wine and a good book – and for those sunny days the secluded outdoor space enables you to enjoy the sunshine and the fantastic views. The top step is the perfect place to sit with a cup of tea and drink in the scenery. Hutterly Beautiful is 18 ft of self contained loveliness. It has been hand-built by a local craftsman to our specification. There is an en-suite shower room with loo, heated towel rail, wash basin, towels and bath robes. The bedroom area is snug and cosy ~ king size bed, individual reading lights, USB plug and a window to enjoy far reaching views. There is a bench with a table that slides out from under the bed and a hobbit log burning stove to help keep you toasty all year round. A fully equipment kitchen which includes butler sink, oven/microwave, hob, fridge with small ice freezer, kettle, toaster, glasses, hand-painted crockery, and cutlery. Outside sits the amazing Swedish wood-fired Hikki hot tub, framed with festoon lights, a BBQ and separate seating area. There is also a wood store where the logs, kindling, firelighters, matches, BBQ coals and spare candles are kept.
Our farmhouse is located close by and there are a couple of houses dotted around us but you are mainly surrounded by lush, green pastures. The field next to the hut will occasionally have dairy cows in it. The village of Stratton is just over a mile away and the quaint seaside town of Bude is over 3 miles. We have a white cat called Brian, who you might see around.
  • We stayed at Hutterly Beautiful for our first wedding anniversary. It was absolutely perfect in every way. The space itself it’s beautiful and finished to an incredible spec, the extra touches were very thoughtful and greatly appreciated and Fiona is a fabulous host. We thoroughly enjoyed our few days exploring Cornwall and relaxing on our return. We hope to return again one day 😊 thanks so much Fiona! X

  • Absolutely beautifully finished Shepard’s hut in a beautiful location. Cream tea andProsecco awaited us on arrival and Rob was there to greet us and show us around. Shops and local town of Bude only a 5-10 min drive away and plenty of places to eat out close by. Fiona was very attentive and could not have done any more to make our stay extra special. • Fiona’s Shepherd’s Hut was fantastic. I spent ages trying to find the perfect place for a special weekend and it didn’t disappoint. The hut itself is really cosy and beautifully presented. The view are lovely and the wood-fired hot tub is a great place to chill for an hour or two, feeling more authentic than a standard one. Fiona was also a very welcoming and friendly host. Would highly recommend.

  • I booked this little gem for me and the Mrs as I was in the dog house! Fiona & Rob were amazing hosts & I can’t recommend The hut enough. Night time hot tub was cracking fun, it even remained boiling hot even when we were getting battered by horizontal rain and sleet. The 2nd night was really clear and crisp as we spent hours chatting and star gazing from the comfort of the hot tub again. The best thing is that now I am out of the dog house for at least another 2 weeks! Guys, book it and surprise her with a last minute trip. You won’t regret it! Fiona & Rob......Thank you

  • Lovely hosts and in a picturesque location with great views, very close to local beaches with plenty of places to eat. Will definitely be staying here again.

    Billy2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Firstly, I just wanted to say how kind and accommodating Fiona and Rob are, allowing us to change our dates following a family bereavement. They truly are wonderful hosts in every way! The hut is spectacular, the perfect peaceful getaway. Even in January we had fabulous views over the sea and stars while using the wood-fired hot tub, which is glorious! The log burner in the hut kept us nice and warm, and the added treats left by Fiona were such a thoughtful touch. Even the books and games in the hut are great! I couldn’t recommend it anymore highly. We hope to come back again soon!

    Jessica2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Everything we could have wished for and more, a perfect place to escape reality for a few days!! Fiona was such a fab host, her and Rob had thought of everything you could need and more!! The hot tub was our favourite feature!! Couldn’t recommend more!!

    Bethany2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most wonderful time here for our anniversary! Hosts were beyond excellent and the hut was everything we hoped for and more! So Peaceful and every detail had been really thought about! The hot tub was the perfect place to watch the sun set and the cosy bed inside was a place to truly relax .... can’t recommend enough! Thank you for a magical stay X

Good for surfers, couples & young families, my place is less than 500 metres from award winning beaches with great surf and stunning cliff walks. A links golf course and the restaurants, cafes and shops of Bude are nearby and within easy walking distance. This cosy wooden cabin is self-contained with own entrance, small double bedroom, separate bunk bed, kitchen with breakfast bar & sitting area, wc & shower room. Outside is a decking area with table and chairs, swing seat and a solar shower.
The wooden cabin is self-contained with its own entrance, comfortable open plan kitchen/sitting room with breakfast bar and sofa, small double bedroom, separate bunk bed, wc & shower room. There is free nearby parking. The space is great for one or two people, and a small third person, + baby is ok. Please note that the bunk bed is raised and quite narrow so may not be suitable for a young child or a third large adult. This Cabin is not suitable for people with mobility issues. The double bed fills the bedroom which is partly overhung by the structure of the single bunk in the next room, but the room is light and airy with two windows - hard to explain and even harder to photograph! it also has shelf space and there is hanging space underneath the bunk bed next door. There is a largish sofa in the sitting room which some people use to sleep on. We ask that you bring your own towels. If this is difficult, we can provide if requested. The corridor is quite narrow and the wc/shower room is quite small so unsuitable for wheelchair access or for people with mobility issues. Please note there is no wi-fi in the cabin...and no tv! - tho there is free wi-fi in the cafes nearby.
Fringed by top class surfing beaches, family friendly beaches, and stunning cliff and coast walks, Bude is a friendly smallish town which hosts various music and art festivals over the course of the year and has many popular bars, cafes and restaurants, all withn easy walking distance. It has an 18 hole golf course, a sea pool, and an outdoor skate park and yet is also an ideal place to get away from it all with secluded beaches and wild countryside just minutes away. Everything is within walking distance of our house.
  • Good coms and a lovely place near the beach

  • Fabulous bas for exploring the local area and south west coast path. The cabin was cosy despite the freezing weather. Lucilla is a top host. Highly recommend

  • A real life tiny home, super cute, even had games to play. Freezing in winter so bring layers but there are two portable heaters to use. Really good location, so close to the beach and only a 5 minute walk from town - super easy. Would stay again

  • Lovely, cosy cabin with everything we needed for our stay. Such a great location near the beaches and the town of Bude. The cabin was spotlessly clean and very warm even on a rainy October weekend. Lucilla was really helpful and quick to respond and everything was set up ready and the cabin was warm when we arrived late on Friday night. So nice to be able to bring our dog along for the holiday too =)

There’s something magical about cosying up as a family and watching a log burner flicker after a busy day. Cranny Cottage is perfect for those of you looking to escape the hustle and bustle and just embrace Cornwall living. Set on the beautiful East Thorne resort not far from sandy Bude, this home from home manages to blend contemporary living with a laidback feel. Step into the open plan living space and you’ll feel a world away from home. There’s space aplenty for the kids to put their feet up after a busy day of adventuring, and the kitchen’s spacious enough to inspire even the most reluctant of chefs! Play your favourite playlists via the Bluetooth sound system, and when it’s time to call it a night, two welcoming bedrooms await upstairs. One of the best things about East Thorne is that there’s plenty to keep you entertained on those days when you feel like staying close to your cottage. The volleyball net will keep the kids busy for hours on end, and the games room means they can let off steam and make new friends whatever the weather. There’s a shared garden (perfect for a snooze on the grass while the sun kisses your skin) and the shared campfire gives a sense of adventure to every visitor. There’s nothing better than unwinding in front of the fire and catching up with new friends after a busy day. Speaking of busy days, you’ll find some of Cornwall’s most spectacular beaches just a short drive from East Thorne. With Summerleaze, Crooklets and Widemouth Bay all just a short journey away by car, this is definitely a holiday for the beach bums amongst you.

  • Great little cottage complete with comfy beds and log burner. Clean and warm. We had a warm welcome from site staff. Our visit was in Feb and it was very stormy weather - but there are lots of outdoor facilities you could take advantage of it you visited later in the spring / summer e.g. fire pit area, outdoor eating, barbecues and giant tables for group seating. 15mins to lovely local sandy beaches with v interesting geology.

  • Lovely cottage in a great location close to the local towns and seaside. My friend and I had a very comfortable stay in this cosy place with a contemporary edge. We had a very helpful check in and tour even though we didn't get there until 20:30 which we really appreciated! Would definitely stay here again if I'm back near the coast in the future.

Coastal Calm with a little Dolce Vita! Our 2 bedroom chalet is set in a quiet corner of a holiday park near Bude. You can sample the entertainment, wood fired pizzas, swimming pools or gym before heading back to relax. The chalet is designed for single travellers, couples or small families and is stocked with plenty of games, books and films to keep you entertained should the sun not shine. Best of all, it is within close driving distance of several lovely North Cornwall beaches.
We think the chalet is full of Cornish coastal charm plus you may discover a few touches of our Italian background here and there! There are two bedrooms; one double and one bunkbed room. We can also accommodate two additional guests on the sofa bed (please bring your own bedding for this)The living space is an open plan kitchen/lounge/diner and we also have a patio area outside the double room. We provide you with bedding (not sofabed) and towels for your stay (please bring your own beach towels), jars for provisions as well as kitchenware. Please Note: We are carrying out some work to the interior in February so the chalet may look a little different here and there to the current photos. Please ask if you would like to know more about this. We hope to welcome you to Sea Grove soon!
A friendly village with pubs, a tearoom and convenience shops. Local walks and proximity to several beaches. The closest beach to the village is Sandymouth. There is a church and a common. The seaside town of Bude is close by.
  • We enjoyed a lovely relaxing 2 night stay at Sea Grove. It was sparkling clean and very comfortable. We loved all the extra touches like milk in the fridge, some welcome biscuits, daffodils (I love daffodils!), fairy lights in the main lounge and a thoughtful spare tote bag in case we needed it for shopping. Rachael Louise has clearly put a lot of love and thought into making the chalet very comfortable for guests. The decor is calming and very pleasant. The bed was comfy and the shower was good too. We didn't cook, but there was plenty of clean equipment there if you did want to. It's a beautiful home-from-home. It's conveniently very close to a car park which is a bonus if you're bringing a lot of luggage in the rain! Checking in with the key box was convenient and simple and there's a spare key too which came in handy for us. Communication before the stay was excellent and we had a lot of questions answered really quickly by Rachael Louise. We would definitely recommend and will very likely book again next year if it's available - it had everything we needed and more. Heartfelt Thank-you. xx It was a pretty cold early March weekend so we used the electric heaters in the mornings and nights (bedroom, lounge and bathroom a bit) and got nice and snug. We also had luxurious long hot showers both days. I think we used about £2-£3 a day on electricity at that rate, but we were not scrimping as we were on hols and enjoy being warm. In the summer I'm sure you'd use a lot less. Not related to the chalet, but the nearby Manor: We regretted forgetting to bring bread as toast at the chalet would've been a smart move. We were attending a 1-day event in the manor house, so ended up buying meals there. It was both expensive and poor quality I'm sad to say. Oven chips with one meal and cheap part-baked bread with the very basic cheese ploughmans' (which was over £10). All 3 specifically vegetarian meals turned out to be very spicy indeed. So be warned!

  • This is a delightful place! It is beautifully designed, cosy and has everything you could need and more. The beds were incredibly comfortable, we all slept really well. The kitchen had everything we needed- the coffee, tea and milk was a lovely welcome. The boys (4&7) absolutely adored the toys and books. The holiday park swimming pool was great, we spent many hours splashing around, the play park was fun and the boys enjoyed the kids entertainment. We hope to return next year.

    Rachel2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • A beautifully decorated and thought out little chalet in the heart of a Fawlty Towers style holiday park (it's so bad, it's good)! Luckily, the chalet is well equipped with games, books, a TV and leaflets, so we were able to have a relaxing break despite the tragic weather! I'd definitely recommend!

    Kate2019-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • I would recommend anyone to book this place if they want to stay in a super clean, fresh, ideal home from home! The location is ideal if you want to visit bude and everything around it. The village it's based in has a couple of lovely pubs, the most adorable little tea room and the on site pub isnt bad either! The host has really gone out of her way to make this place cosy and the book that's been created as a guide is really useful! Will definitely be staying again!

    Louise2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Chalet is sparkling clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. Kitchen equipped with everything you could ever want and need, and if you don't feel like cooking, there's more than enough eateries and restaurants nearby. Rachael is a fab host, very helpful and quick to reply to messages. Little things like fresh flowers on the table, fresh milk in the fridge or some homemade cookies were a lovely touch and made us feel very welcome. We've had fabulous time in Cornwall and looking forward to come back next year!

    Kasia2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous little chalet, beautifully decorated. Little touches were fantastic. Olive oil, cookies, wine, toys, games, xbox, hard drive with movies. All made for our stay to be that little bit nicer. Especially on the wetter days. Rachael was very quick responding and we recieved fantastic information about check in. The information in the book was perfect for enabling us to find our way around. The Beach House restaurant in Widemouth was gorgeous for food and we also found Tintagle castle fantastic as a day out. Loved our stay here. Thank you.

  • Jean has made every effort to make the cottage special. The location is really convenient. We have been walking the South West Coast Path between Instow & Tintagel and getting to the start of our walks using buses and taxies was easy from Kilkhampton. We did not use the local pubs - but the nearby supermarket was very handy.

  • We had a lovely break at Skyber Barnacott to see in the new year with friends. The place is very modern and stylishly decorated throughout. The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. The bedrooms were comfortable and there was plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 dogs. Skyber Barnacott is very well situated and only 10 minutes to Bude where we had a lovely day out on New Years Eve. We ordered a takeaway pizza on our first night from La Bocca Pizza who delivered to the house and we would highly recommend. Delicious! I think guests should be aware that there are no rubbish collections from the place so you have to take all your rubbish to the local tip during your stay. This was not communicated prior to our stay and, whilst we managed to dispose of our waste, this was difficult as we stayed over new year when the tip was closed so had to do a tip run on the morning of checkout making the morning a bit rushed. I would recommend staying at Skyber Barnacott as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had a fantastic time there.

  • Really lovely space for our family holiday. Stylish yet comfortable. Everywhere was wonderfully clean when we arrived and there is a brilliantly equipped kitchen. The beds are very comfortable and we found the whole space very relaxing.

  • An absolutely beautiful cottage that has been tastefully furnished, and just so comfortable to stay in. We cooked each night at the cottage and had everything we needed. There was a welcome supply of tea, coffee, sugar and milk along with dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, soaps, and one loo roll per bathroom. A real home from home, and would recommend this beautiful cottage.

  • Skyber Barnacott cottage is a very clean and beautifully presented property. It is in a great location close to the village of Kilkhampton and within a few miles of Sandymouth beach and Bude town centre. It has a very comfortable and spacious living area and has lots of amenities - it was a real ‘home from home’.

  • Sunnyside Cottage was an oasis of tranquility. It was clear as soon as we arrived that Sunnyside was a relaxing and welcoming cottage. It was very easy to find and we settled in very quickly. We loved the log burner and how beautifully decorated and clean the whole house was. The cottage offered everything we needed from warmth , Peace and quiet , ample space to relax , a washing machine a dishwasher and more. The garden which was very well looked after, has a path that leads you to the high street avoiding the main road (which wasn’t busy). The high street has a Co Op, pubs , takeaways , a Butchers shop and more. The location is ideal for access to some lovely coastal walks but also to Bude for the beach and high street shopping. We day tripped to Morwenstow , Crackington Haven (best as tide going out) and Boscastle . We would definitely like to return one day and have already recommended the cottage to friends and family. Rachael was easy to deal and very conscientious on her approach to visitors at Sunnyside cottage .

  • We had lovely family break for half term with two small children. We particularly enjoyed cosy evenings in the comfortable lounge watching films on the smart TV after a long day of exploring. Everything was impeccably clean and tidy. Racheal was very helpful and even sorted out a replacement tumble dryer when the original one was being repaired. Thoughtful touches like fresh milk, tea, biscuits and flowers make all the differences. Great location for exploring North Cornwall. Apart from Bude we also explored Port Isaac, Tintagel and even The Eden Project (only an hour from the house and well worth the visit especially if you have kids).

    Carolina2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place close to Bude & Holsworthy with enclosed garden - plenty of room for a family holiday. Rachael is a great host - relaxed, friendly & helpful.

    Luke2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Sunnyside is a pristine, fabulously appointed Victorian cottage. Elegantly decorated, beautifully clean and perfectly located for adventuring around the area. Lovely welcome gifts and basics provided. Lovely local pubs a short walk away with great atmosphere and lovely food. Would definitely stay here again.

    Maeve2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time. The utility room was great for the dog. Even a fire guard to keep our toddler away from harm. Close to Bude for awesome family days out. 5*

    Donna2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great house and location. Ideal for families and dogs. Brilliant location for lots of different activities - walking, biking, climbing, beaches (popular and wild), water-sports. Plenty to see and do in the area but could easily spend a week just exploring the dramatic coastline. Facilities at the house were very good and ideal for us (2 adults, 4 older teenagers and 1 dog). Would recommend to others and would definitely stay again.

    David2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely spacious cottage, really well furnished and equipped. Feels really homely. Easily slept 4 adults and 2 children. The garden is lovely. Useful driveway and utility room for unloading bodyboards and wetsuits etc. Reversing into it looks tricky but there is a useful mirror and it really wasn’t too difficult. Rachael was swift and easy to communicate with. Complimentary items on arrival a really nice touch and welcomed! The village has everything you need for self catering and it’s very near a turn onto the A39 into Bude so easy to get around the north Cornish coast.

The kitchen downstairs is large and homely and has a rayburner. We have all pots and pans etc and will leave out a box with essentials (salt & pepper etc) you can use for cooking, we also have lots of herbs in the garden you are welcome to use. James is a musician/songwriter so we are open to offering guitar/songwriting lessons to anyone interested.
Bude town is less than 10 minute drive away where you will find everything you need including beaches and shops, but our most local shop is co op which is 5 minutes away. Great local farm shop and cafe just down the road from us and a beautiful cafe at the Sandymouth National Trust beach. Very good pub 5 minutes drive away. Forda Farm is nestled above the Coombe Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and special geological interest. Birdsong is the predominant sound with sheep, cattle and the occasional putter of a tractor. On still evenings at high tide, you can hear the surf at Duckpool, a delightful two-mile walk down the valley. The seaside town of Bude is six miles away and offers a wide variety of activities, entertainment and shopping. The North Cornish coast is stunning and unspoilt here. The cliffs are some of the highest and most rugged in the country with spectacular views up and down the coast and across to Lundy Island. It is a wonderful area for glorious walks and bird watching. There are plenty of circular routes taking in both the cliffs and wooded valleys. In the spring there is an abundance of flowers on the cliffs with primroses, bluebells and wild garlic in the woods and valleys. Peregrine falcons, stonechats, ravens, cormorants and oystercatchers are all regularly seen. There are seals in the coastal waters and in the warmer months basking sharks have been spotted from the cliffs. The nearby beaches have wide expanses of clean sand at low tide. There is something for everyone. Some beaches have full facilities including lifeguard cover for surfers and swimmers, refreshments, and toilets; others have almost total seclusion but involve a long walk down — and even longer up! Rockpools invite exploration to both the curious and to budding young marine biologists. Bude has three main beaches Crooklets, Summerleaze & Widemouth. North of Bude are Northcott, Sandymouth & Duckpool beaches. All except the latter have Lifeguard cover. Bude is Cornwall's most northern town and has been a favourite seaside resort since Victorian times. The coastal scenery surrounding the beaches is quite beautiful, boasting some of the finest sandy beaches and the best surfing in England! The town has excellent facilities and a wide selection of interesting, independent shops. This idyllic area has a large amount of birdlife for the dedicated twitcher and some wonderful, scenic walks along the South West coastal path. The centre of Bude is a lively hub with concerts, dances and fetes as well as other events throughout the season, including an annual Carnival Week. The town has a host of pubs, cafes and restaurants to suit every palate and there is a new Visitors Centre in the Crescent car park, a large children's play area, a 19th-century canal and a small wharf amongst many other attractions. Bude is also home to the internationally acclaimed jazz festival which takes place each August. Further along the coast is Sandymouth, a large beach ideal for families due to its lovely sand, rock pools and tea rooms. A short drive north over the border into Devon leads to the quaint village of Hartland which has a magnificent church with an amazing painted ceiling and one of the tallest towers in England. Hartland Quay has a hotel and Wreckers Bar as the coast here is littered with wrecks and is a lovely spot for some lunch. Also well worth a visit is the world-famous fishing village of Clovelly. The cobbled, traffic-free, high street is built into a cleft in a 400' high cliff and tumbles its way down past whitewashed cottages festooned with flowers to the tiny working port. Kilkhampton, which dates back to before Saxon times is the location of the remains of a 12th-century motte and bailey style Norman castle and the church of St James the Great, which is over 450 years old. Both of the two pubs in the village the New Inn and London Inn serve food, there is also a Co-op, Spar, Post Office, electrical retailer, hairdresser, a chippy, both Chinese and Pizza take away establishments.

  • We had a fantastic stay at Skylark! My wife, 4 kids and I really had a wonderful holiday in Cornwall/Devon. The apartment was spotless and so homely and the scones and clotted cream and jam were a welcome gesture on our arrival. The adjoining Penstow Manor is amazing and the daily kids club and inclusive pool (indoor and outdoor) usage were fantastic. The location is brilliant too, only 15 minutes from the breathtaking Clovelly and very central to all the best amenities Devon and Cornwall have to offer. Couldn't praise it highly enough!!

  • This was our second time at this Airbnb, we loved it the first time as it exceeded expectations, we knew what to expect this time and it didn’t disappoint. The on-site facilities are really good and the children love the evening entertainment, very tongue in cheek but means that as busy parents of 3 we get to chill in the evening too (even with a 2 year old). Great location and lots to see and do locally. Swimming pool is lovely and staff on site are very helpful. Sarah’s communication and speed of her responses could not be faulted, the property was super clean, and lovely flowers and tea and scones on arrival. We hope to stay here again next year.

  • Fantastic host, lovely place. We stayed with our 20 month old and used cot and high chair which were great. I imagine the upstairs room would be a dream for any older children teenagers staying as it has a TV, DVD player, pool table and table football! Only 10 mins drive to Bude and 5 mins drive to 2 National Trust beaches. Great WiFi with Netflix/ Spotify etc. on TV. Everything you need to cook meals. Washing machine/ clothesline and pegs. Great outdoor patio area and grass our little one loved seeing the horses in the next field! Very clean and tidy, amazingly powerful shower! Only 1 bathroom (with shower/toilet in) so not ideal for lots of guests but fine for our family of 3.

  • Stayed here whilst we waited to move into our new house - it was a very pleasant cottage with everything we needed . The cottage was a little tired in places but did not matter - the staff helped with anything we needed and were all very pleasant. Would recommend.

Imagine if you could experience the thrill of camping in the Cornish countryside, without having to sleep in the Great Outdoors. Well, we’re thrilled to present the beautiful Cwtch Cottage. Just as charming as its name, this bright spacious cottage has an interior design that’ll make you want to stay forever. Open plan living means there’s plenty of space to spend time as a family, and welcoming bedrooms make the perfect spaces for when it’s time to retreat and unwind after a busy day. East Thorne has it all, and you’ll find plenty to keep you busy on those days when you resist the temptation of those nearby beaches. You’ll find a games room for the kids to make new friends and show off their skills, and the shared hardens have plenty of space for the whole family to soak up the sun and enjoy the peaceful setting. When evening falls and it’s time to sip on a glass of bubbly (or a hot chocolate for the kids), the communal campfire makes a lovely space to catch up with new friends and enjoy the glow from the flames. For those days out during your stay, it’s all about the beaches. East Thorne’s a place to fall back in love with the good old bucket and spade lifestyle, and we don’t care how old you are – you never stop feeling excited when you sink your feet into the sand. Choose from Summerleaze (everyone’s favourite) just five miles away, Crooklets Beach (next to Summerleaze and perfect for a wander along the shore) or the rugged beauty of Sandymouth, just a four minute drive away.

Traditional end terraced cottage in the beautiful village of Stratton, just 5 minutes from the coastal town of Bude in stunning North Cornwall.
Comfrey cottage has many traditional features, originating from when the house was built in the 1700's. It is quirky and full of Cornish charm. Decorated in a modern, beachy style, it is the perfect place for a getaway to discover the delights of rural Cornwall. There is a spaciuos garden with eating areas, as well as a large kitchen/diner with views to the west - perfect for sun downers. Please note that being a traditional, 300 year old cottage there are some narrow doorways, wobbly staircases and uneven floors, so it may not be suitable for less abled bodies! Less than one minute stroll to the village pub (dog friendly, and brilliant food) and the local village store with all the essentials, local milk and a fresh bakery.
Stratton is a perfect example of a tiny, quaint ancient market village. There are 2 pubs within a 2 minute stroll of Comfrey Cottage, a village store to pick up your paper and local Cornish milk, and, of course, the beautiful Church right on your doorstep. Stratton is a great place to wander the alleys and lanes steeped in history, and the Tourist Info center in Bude is a font of knowledge! Just a 5 minute drive, or simple 30 minute walk is the center of Bude, with its many beaches, surfing, shops, supermarkets and activities. Bude has been voted the UK's Best Coastal Resort for the last 2 years, and it's not hard to see why!
  • What a fabulous space! This lovely cottage has real character and style. We really looked forward to finishing work to return to such a homely, cosy and airy space. Claire was easy to contact and provided lots of recommendations in the welcome back. We loved the special extras of fresh flowers, good coffee and delicious cookies! Would highly recommend.

  • Great cottage. Comfortable, quirky, very practical. Great location and base for going into Bude and exploring the coast. Internet was abit unstable due to the weather but otherwise a pleasant stay. Loved the little touches and the guide on what to see and do and how to get around. Parking permit for one of the carparks in town was a really good addition. It meant we could park all day for free and have a walk around town. Would recommend pre-booking a pub or restaurant table in advance. Look forward to staying there again.

  • We had a wonderful half term break here. The cottage is delightful - clean, warm and surprisingly spacious. Comfy beds, plenty of towels and a everything you need in the kitchen. Also the village is very pretty to walk around with a great little shop. Perfect location for exploring numerous beaches and coastline and within very easy access of Bude for supermarket etc. Would very happily return!
