All the conveniences of home in our little cottage! Our private home has 2 bedrooms + kids bunk room with expansive views over Somerset Lake and only a 2 mins drive to Kirkleigh boat ramps. This is a brilliant way to holiday with the family if you love water sports, attending a wedding at one of the great local venues or simply want a relaxing break!
You’ll be sharing the property (but not the house!) with the non-humans who live on site. Our alpacas Coffee and Cake, and the 5 chooks who will reward you with eggs in exchange for your food scraps.
The local campground (2km away) has mini-golf and a convenience store if you run out of milk or bread. Coronation Hall, a popular wedding venue is located 5km south of our home near the dam wall. Another popular wedding venue is Somerset Sunset which is about 5km north, towards Kilcoy. There is an IGA at Kilcoy about 7km away and if passing Yowie Park, a coffee from the Yowie Coffee cart is a must!
  • For a great get away, this is your great place with great Hosts. We go there every year for 3 years now and will continue to go there.

    Herman2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Such a gorgeous spot with a stunning view of the dam! Very comfortable, thank you so much we had a wonderful weekend away.

    Katie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This house is great for families, lots of rooms and the kids loved the animals. Having the fort and a few games was great to keep them occupied. Close to the dam which was why we were there for the weekend. lots of cool vibes from the way its decorated, like walking into an ikea magazine! The deck was nice to have a fire and look over the views. The place was nice and clean too.

    Monique2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at this lovely house while jet skiing & sailing on Lake Somerset for the weekend. The location is perfect, quiet & peaceful, lovely views & just 5 minutes from the boat ramp. There are lots of extra touches like the playground and chickens who provided us with fresh eggs but we especially loved watching the alpaca grazing nearby.

    Jelena2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location and wonderful house. Spacious and clean. Everything we wanted. Thank you so much!!!

    William2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Nice deco, lots for children. Gorgeous lake views.

    Julie2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The views of the dam from this property on the hill are fabulous. Trish and David have added lots of lovely homely touches. We were very comfortable in the heat of summer with the giant deck umbrella and good air con. Their house had everything we needed. The bunk room was super comfy to hang out in and the playground was enjoyed. My 3 yo son loved collecting eggs each morning and feeding the chickens vege scraps and tucking them in at night. The property is only moments from the boat ramp.

    Amy2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location- very clean and comfortable. Stylish decor throughout. Kids retreat is perfect for keeping the kids happy. Hosts David and Trish are incredible.

The River and Hinterland Retreat Cabin (called Shalom) is a contemporary, spacious, light-filled cabin on a mini acreage by the Mary River overlooking our rain forest. It is an ideal place to refuel, be creative & enjoy the crisp fresh air and peace of the natural surroundings. Get away from the busy city life and use as a base to explore the natural beauty and attractions of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. We are in Conondale along the Maleny and Kenilworth tourist drive. @Grow_Green_miniFarm
The cabin is self contained and the property has shared grounds with paths around the property, mini orchard, a chicken run, bush tucker mini rain-forest (work in progress), fire pit and paths to the Mary River. While canoeing on the Mary we have seen platypus and the Mary River turtle. Wildlife such as ducks, bush turkeys and wallabies have roamed onto our yard to join the variety of native bird life. Use the wood barbeque and fire pit and enjoy the smells, sounds and stars that shine brightly in the hinterland at night.
Conondale is a small, quiet town on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland located between Maleny and Kenilworth (both approx 20 min away). There are a number of places to see in this beautiful area including the Mary Valley, the Mary River and Conondale National Park. Vistas of rolling hills, grazing cattle and the rugged peaks of the Conondale Mountain Range can be seen when coming from Maleny creating a very scenic drive. This mountain range is located within the Conondale National Park nearby- a lovely place to connect with nature through forest walks. Maleny and Kenilworth ( both 20 min drive away) are great spots for experiencing friendly Sunshine Coast hospitality in any of the various cafes and eateries on offer, viewing art created by local artists at small art galleries and local shopping. The Conondale township has one general store which is opened 7 days and is conveniently located a short walk ( approx 3 mins) and drive away from the cabin.
  • Such a great place to stay. Great location, loved being by the river and kayaking down it. Such good value for money

It’s perfect for two to unwind, enjoy an evening in front of the fire and cool down in the nearby pool. And all the beauties of the Hinterland and Glasshouse Mountains are just a short drive away. Highly recommended!

    Sebastian2020-03-01T00:00:00Z

The tiny house is very modern & had absolutely everything we needed for a weekend retreat. The property is an easy 10 minute drive into Maleny township. Wanita was such a great host. Very quick responses & met us to show us the ins & outs of the “Glampers Shack”. We will certainly be back! Thank you for a lovely stay!

  • Loved this gorgeous wooden cabin. It is a beautifully compact size, inspiring in it's design. Air con & fans inside, and beautiful breezes from outside made it consistently cool. Very tranquil setting. It was lovely to just sit and look at the peaceful view of the nearby countryside, watch the array of wildlife and generally feel worlds away.

    Angela2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Very clean and tidy.

    Rebecca2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as described, fantastic communication, little slice of heaven.

    Penny2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • This quaint, rustic looking cabin, set in lovely grounds overlooking paddocks and within hearing of the local birds and farm animals, was just lovely. If your soul and mind need renewal, this is the place for you. It is quiet, visually restful with a lovely deck to gaze on the countryside and feed the visiting birds, or just read a book or laze on the outdoor lounge with a cheese board and champagne in hand. During the cooler months there is a fire pit to make use of and to cook your marshmallows on. The internal spaces are adequate and the interior design reflects the rustic feel throughout. The downstate need was very comfortable. If you want to cook a gourmet meal for 10, the kitchen is not for you. But it is perfectly suited for simple meals and has plenty of shelving and crockery and cutlery enough for 4 guests. Monkeybong Park is nearby and has a walkway through the bush and by a creek. I would recommend this for a quiet girl's or boys weekend away, young and older able bodied couples (there are stairs), families with tween children, or if you just want to escape the "rat race" this is your spot.

    Karen2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is so cute and the outlook is relaxing. Lee was easy to deal with and very nice. Cabin is close to houses but very private. Would stay again for sure.

    Maree2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • A really lovely cabin for a getaway. Close to town, but feels very secluded with beautiful and serene views. The extra touches such as milk and bread and jam for breakfast were appreciated. The inside of the cabin was "rustic" yet interesting, and one of the cleanest AirBNBs I have stayed in. Will definitely be back to enjoy the fire pit in winter.

    Rori2020-02-09T00:00:00Z

    Ruchi2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • We went there with a large group of 9 adults and a baby. There was plenty of space for all of us with space to spare. Adequate ventilation with fans available for the warmer nights and plenty of blankets for the cooler ones. The swimming pool and pool table were a hit with all. The host was nice and helpful in making sure we were comfortable. Beautiful outlook and close to some popular wedding venues making it easier for us to get around. The kitchen was well equipped for a large family with tidy amenities all around the house.

    Meryl2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place to chill! We have 2 big dogs, 1 is a little anxious are we find it difficult to travel as she can tend to be very needy. Both are dogs had heaps of room to play and nap, full secured so we didnt have to worry about escaping puppies. The house itself is so gorgeous! The kind of place you wish was your own! Plenty of room inside and out! We stayed over Christmas and expected to be in the pool the whole time with the kids but it ended up bein cold and wet, we just snuggled by the fire place instead. I cannot express how relaxed the vibe of this place is! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We will definitely be back!

    Candice2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely incredible house that is way more impressive than the pictures let on. The dogs had a great time and we loved the pool in the very hot afternoons. Would highly recommend this place to anyone!

  • Beautiful start the the New Year at Kirara Nulla. The guest wing was lovely for a short stay, with generous access to BBQ (& kitchen if needed) and all of the grounds on the property. The views are perfect and very relaxing. In the heat of summer, relaxing on the deck or in the shade is a must as it’s quite hot. Hunting for chicken eggs was fun and visiting the cows. The hosts are incredibly warm and friendly. Highly recommend!

  • We have stayed on several farms across Australia. This farm stay will definitely be the most memorable. Sharon and Terry opened their homes to us with loving hearts and amazing hospitality. We felt right at home from the very start. The guest wing was more spacious than I thought and was pretty much self contained in terms of amenities. Every need has been carefully thought through and provided for in that space. No expense has been spared to make it a comfortable stay for all. The Woodford town is a short 10mins drive away where you can get your groceries from Woolworths or IGA. There is also a butchery which sells grass fed meats. Several cafe and takeaway places. The Glasshouse Mountain lookout is a short drive away. Not too far off for the Australian Zoo as well. I would recommend a visit to the town of Maleny nearby where you can visit the famous Maleny Dairies and do their dairy tour. We love the gluten-free food options at Maleny as well as the organic co-op where we stocked up on our groceries needs.

  • Couldn’t recommend enough, fantastic for our kids. Felt like we had known Terry and Sharon for a long time and we were staying at a family friends. Great weekend getaway

    Brent2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great farm vibes loved waking around and seeing all the animals and the cattle were also fun to feed. I also enjoyed the tree swing that over looked a little creek :)

    Paige2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our weekend at Kirar Nulla Family Farm and it was a very memorable experience for our little kids to be able to feed the cattle, the fishes, chase the goose and gosling and chickens. They were so mesmerised with the lemons and chicken eggs that they collected and the passion fruits that was so yummy (our 3 years old loves them). They enjoyed going on the swing and had so much fun on the truck ride with Terry around the property. A small wagon kept them entertained going up and down the hills and sliding onto the gravel road from the pathway. The room was exactly what it looked like in the pictures and the facilities were good. We had all what we required to make the stay comfortable. We will definitely plan another trip to Kirar Nulla and totally recommend this family farm to our friends. Thank you Sharon and Terry for the great hospitality. Regards, Harizan, Dayang, Ára, Adam and Ajwa

  • Thanks Joseph for your hospitality. It was a great weekend with kids at your wonderful farm.

    Ash2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Joseph's farm stay was a thoroughly enjoyable long weekend away for our family of four. The farm is just on the outskirt of Maleny in a quieter and peaceful rural area. Jina and Joseph met us each day to take us around his property to feed the animals. Needless to say, our children enjoyed this immensely. The property we stayed in is an old shed that has been re-purposed with modern amenities set across a large area. There's plenty of space to set up a full sized table tennis and have ample room to spread out. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment for us to cook up breakfasts and dinners while we ventured out for lunch during the day. We also had time for a walk across creeks on a pathway close to the property. What we loved most about this AirBnB is the fact that a portion of rental income goes towards Compassion, a charity we ourselves donate to. We spent time reading Joseph and Jina's story on the path that led them to live on the farm. My wife was moved to tears. We thank God we found a place a place like this and left truly encouraged in our own lives. Highly recommended!

  • We enjoyed our farm stay. We were comfortable and Joseph and jina made sure we had all we need for a great stay. The kids enjoyed to feed the animals. Thanks guys!

  • This lovely cabin was our ‘home’ for 2 nights as we waited the arrival of our granddaughter. It’s location for us was perfect in an amazingly beautiful part of the world. Helen has provided so many extras .... breakfast supplies, well stocked kitchen, biscuits, lollies, mosquito coils! Everything we didn’t think we’d need but were grateful when we found them. Bed was beautifully comfortable and the rural outlook exactly what we needed to calm the nerves as we waited for news of the baby. Definitely highly recommended!

  • Incredibly relaxing and comfortable cabin with luxurious and thoughtful touches all the way. If you love animals this is the place for you. We had daily visits from Jack the horse, Henny Penny the chicken and Tiaki the German shepherd. Great comfortable king sized bed and unique NZ cultural decor make this a home away from home. Close to Woodford and National Park walking trails. Terrific for a romantic getaway.

  • A really cute cozy and private space. Really well appointed and if you like animals there will be plenty to visit you during your stay. We loved the company at breakfast. Our hosts went above and beyond in providing little things like fresh farm eggs, bacon, bread, milk, and so much more. Highly recommended as a weekend away, or a base to go and explore the local wineries and markets.

    Lisa2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • "Figtrees on Watson" is the perfect place to stay if you want peace, relaxation and serenity and stunning, amazing views. Attention to detail, & attention to requirements for your stay, is second to none. For three middle age women having a catch up, and a getaway from the stresses of life we were overwhelmed by the perfection of this place. I will definitely be going back to stay with my husband next time. Being a short drive to the beautiful townships of Maleny and Montville, and being able to wander their main streets and sample the local food, coffee, chocolate and friendly shops and atmosphere was fantastic. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Communication with David & Patricia was always professional, prompt, warm and friendly, and they made us feel welcome way before we stepped foot into the home. Upon arrival a beautiful array of local products awaited, but i don't want to spoil anyones experience so i'll leave it at that.

Bec provided more than enough information on the property as well as some recommendations on places to eat & where to go in surrounding towns. The beds were comfortable, there was more than enough towels to go around which was a surprise. The outdoor area was great, we spent hardly any time inside as we didn't need to.

  • Beautiful setting.. so peaceful and relaxing surrounded by lush nature and creatures. The studio was the perfect size for us and we loved adventuring out to Maleny and Montville from there.. the scenery is gorgeous. An epic little getaway!

  • Great place, very private and self-sufficient.

    Dylan2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet, relaxing break from city life. Absolutely no service meant we were cut off from the world which was amazing. Gave us two days to reconnect with nature. We used the spa and the sauna which were amazing and we could barely tell that we were at someone else's house. It felt very private. Overall, amazing trip.

    Michaela2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding and very cozy place. I recommend if you want to get away from the city and being with a nature. I would like to come back there one day.

  • Lovely tranquil location, beautiful outdoor area. Looks like it does in the photos. Would stay here again. Only negative was that we needed an iron and there wasn’t one despite it being on the list of amenities but we made do :) Worth a stay if you need a relaxing get away.

Stay in a tiny house hideaway, nestled in the subtropical wildlife sanctuary of Crystal Waters Permaculture Village. Self contained, suits couple or one person. Relax on the deck and share the environs with birds, kangaroos and wallabies. Enjoy beautiful walks at Crystal Waters and further afield.
Frangipani Cottage is situated 30m from our main house. We are in easy walking distance of the Village Green where Flowerpot Coffee Shop opens Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The sour dough bakery sells bread every Saturday morning and pizzas on Wednesday evenings. Plan to come for the vibrant Crystal Waters Market which is held on the 1st Saturday of each month, except January.
There are many beautiful places to visit around the Hinterland. Visit Maleny, Montville and Mapleton on the scenic ridge. Mary Cairncross Park, a remnant area of original virgin rainforest with enormous trees, should not be missed.
  • Sandra and Richard were lovely hosts and my partner and I loved our weekend getaway. The tiny house was very cute and and set in a gorgeous location with kangaroos and wallabies hopping around. Would definitely recommend!

    Ashley2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. You get to have an insight into the Crystal Waters community (if you’d like). Sandra is such a lovely host.

    Sal2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Sandra and Richard's cottage was the perfect place for a relaxing weekend away from the city. We especially enjoyed having our morning coffee on the deck watching all the kangaroos and wallabies just metres away.

    Sian2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Sandra and Richard's place was lovely. We were welcomed with amazing hospitality and local knowledge. Surrounded by nature, the cottage is the perfect little getaway and we will be back again soon!

    Candice2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Sandra and Richard were absolutely amazing. They went out of their way to meet me at the car, show me around the property and cottage, tell me about events that were happening during my stay and other activities to do. Sandra and Richard made me feel very welcomed and settled into the space right from the beginning. I highly recommend staying here and will be back again.

    Stephanie2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was a truly great experience. Perfect for a quiet, restful getaway. The bed was comfy and looked out onto the balcony where we watched a family of wallabies play in the sun. Sandra and Richard were so lovely, accommodating and kind.

    Sarosh2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Sandra and Richard are very friendly and hospitable hosts and knowledgeable about the area. The cottage was perfect for me as it was quiet, but also made you feel at home with the sounds and sights of the acreage. The amenities and furnishings were perfect. One of my favourite stays!

    Aaron2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • The Frangipani cottage is, as is name indicates, a perfect writer’s retreat away from the bustle of the Sunshine Coast, immersed in the beautiful nature of Crystal Waters. I spent an unforgettable week among the kangaroos and wallabies, and the birds, all relaxed (and therefore so pleasant to observe at leisure) thanks to the « no cats and dogs » policy. The cottage is absolutely charming, and very well organized and arranged. It is very sunny (the sunrise can be seen from the bed through the glass double doors opening onto a porch/patio which was my favorite spot: overlooking an expanse of lawn and trees and giving you a perfect observation point to marvel at animals and vegetation, while writing, reading, napping or eating). Sandra and Richard were wonderful hosts, treating me like a friend or relative, taking me to the supermarket for grocery shopping, and inviting me to participate in events in the Crystal Waters community, a very welcoming group of residents with an amazing project implemented for 30 years in the area (permaculture). I was not aware of all this when I booked, mostly wanting some time away from the busy and crowded coast, and I was delighted to be able to discover the project and the people, thanks to Sandra’s wonderful generosity and thoughtfulness. I could go on for pages praising that lovely cottage and my hosts, but to make a long review short, the place is cosy and beautifully situated, with exactly the right amount of privacy, and if you are looking for a stay in nature, at the same time comfortable and uplifting and peaceful, with hosts that communicate beautifully (never intrusive but always caring and generous), that’s exactly the right place for you!

  • We loved our stay at Barbara’s house. It is very spacious and clean. The place is very suited for bringing your child, we travelled with our 1yo. Barbara invited us to feed the birds and our boy loved it. There is a lovely garden with lots of birds to watch and beautifull nature in the surroundings. Barabara is very hospitable and gave us advise about the surroundings, we spotted some kangaroos. We loved the ac because it was very hot outside.

    Marije2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara was a wonderful lady and very interesting to chat to even in the short time we were there. She could't do enough for you and the little treats she left with the breakfast provisions were excellent. The property is awesome and would love more time to explore. Very pet friendly she made our fur baby very welcome and he had lots of room to explore even meeting her security staff a lovely flock of guinea fowl. We had dinner at the Woodford Tavern just down in town and food was excellent and again pet friendly if you sat out on extensive deck. We will definitely be back to stay and take our border collie Jaxson sheep herding for weekend. Thank you again Barbara for a wonderful stay.

  • The Ridge is in a beautiful location overlooking one of Maleny’s many gorgeous valleys. Despite there being multiple cabins on the property, the way they are facing means you don’t really know there are others there. It still feels private. The furnishing were really comfy and the cabin was really spacious and had everything you need there. We did the hike down to the creek, it was tough but we were rewarded with a secluded stretch of the Mary river and had a refreshing dip. A short and very scenic drive into Maleny with everything you need in town, although once you get to the cabin you won’t want to leave. We hope to come again in the colder months so we can snuggle by the fire.

Very Seclusion away from the world, you can still see it but you can't touch it. The view definitely to die for and the basic ambience of the natural environment with anything from Wallabies kangaroo deer dingo birds of prey black cockatoo white cockatoos and pelican and the Yowie. No photos of the Yowie
It's a beautiful part of the country and a pleasure to live in this native environment.

Stay in my idyllic self contained cabin in sub-tropical rainforest, in natural surroundings with lovely birds and wildlife. The "Crystal Cabin" is a small and beautifully crafted octagonal building with fitted kitchenette, bathroom, & covered outside deck. It is perfect for one person or a couple. Next door to my own home, it has air conditioning/heating, and is well equipped with all you need for a relaxing break. Guests enjoy access to our beautiful private swimming pool in a forest setting.
This building has remarkably fine contemporary design and wood-carving, individually created fine hardwood fitted cupboards, worktops and storage, all made in Australian hardwoods by leading local craftsmen. It is truly a special space. It is an ideal retreat for a single person or a couple. Please note the house rules, strictly no smoking or pets please, we prefer you leave your outdoor footwear on the verandah.
There are various activities at Crystal Waters that are open to visitors, including yoga on three different weekdays, a community meal on Friday evenings. a film night (also Friday evenings), bellydance classes, and more. Each Saturday morning our village bakery is open for tea coffee fresh baked bread and pastries. Crystal Waters Music Club is on every last Saturday of the month. This is a great place to relax, walk, experience native wildlife and a huge variety of birds with nearly 200 species of birds spotted here at Crystal Waters, and there are many species of tree frogs also. A lovely walking track along the Mary River is at the lower end of the property. You will meet kangaroos and wallabies every day, water dragons by the dam, maybe an echidna or platypus or a goanna, or a snake (be aware there are snakes here as in most of rural Australia, active mostly in the summer). It is in the sub tropics and there are mosquitoes and ticks here in the Sunshine Coast so bring your insect repellent. Don't go walking in the bush in bare feet, sandals or thongs - wear enclosed footwear to be safe when bush walking.
  • What an awesome and chilled out environment to stay in. If you are looking for some serious R and R, this is the location to stay! Malcolm was a very hospitable and responsive host. The cabin is super snug and in amongst the trees. We saw kangaroos, birds and there were plants of jungle sounds. Kriss

  • Thank you so much for being so informative and also leaving us to ourselves, it was a great balance. The cabin itself is so beautiful and has everything you need to stay for a weekend without leaving it. We were lucky and had rain before and during our stay so the creek had a little water in it so we went for a swim and enjoyed the incredible wildlife around the area, we saw kingfishers and so many other birds. Highly recommend, it's a peaceful part of the earth.

  • Had a lovely 2 night stay at Malcolm's cabin! Enjoyed the wonderful sound of rain falling through the leaves, watched the Wallabies foraging and the birds singing. Malcolm greeted me and showed me around - but then gave me privacy and I read all afternoon on the veranda. Walked through the forest to the community cafe for breakfast and met other nice people. Recommendation: when walking to the cafe you'll pass by a pan-flute-like creation made from pipe material. Give it a crack and slap the foam thongs on it and see if you can make a song. Kept me entertained for a good half hour =) Can also recommend swimming in the creek, nothing more rejuvenating!

  • Incredibly beautiful wooden house, very stylishly made, full of surprising details. People have been visible here with a lot of attention and care to make something really beautiful. That gave us a lot of peace and space. Seen many animals that live in Christal waters, great place to walk along the river in the coolness of the trees. Very pleasant

  • Malcolm's place at Crystal Waters is perfect for those wishing to be close to nature. The abundance of birdlife is incredible and it was so relaxing to sit and listen to the bird song. Seeing the wallabies and kangaroos live in harmony with the residents is very special. The cabin is very well equipped and the craftsmanship of the woodwork is beautiful. For a cool down in the hot weather, there is a pool and shaded walk by the side of the nearby creek. I booked to stay 3 nights and was sad leaving this little piece of paradise. I was very fortunate to stay on a Friday night when one of the local residents hosts 'dinner on the deck' near the local village green. The food was scrumptious! And the live music was a real treat. The bakery on a Saturday morning is a must-visit. Malcolm is a wonderful host and went out of his way to show me around and make me feel very welcome. Crystal Waters is a very special and unique place in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Thank you Malcolm!

Fat Ted Farm is close to country towns, such as, Toogoolawah, Kilcoy, Esk, Moore, Linville. Somerset and Wivenhoe Dams are close by & scenic drives are everywhere. You will love the outdoor spaces, the serenity, isolation and millions of stars. As this is a 50 acre farm and a place to getaway from it all and enjoy some peace and quiet there is no internet. Our house is over 100 years old, which we moved from Esk in 2008. Lots of French doors & fresh air which means no screens or mozie nets.
  • We stayed at this beautiful Queensland midway on our Brisbane Valley Rail trail mountain bike. It is slightly off the track and there is a long driveway, though the effort was well worth the amazing sunset views, beautiful landscape and well presented cute interior and bedrooms awaiting. Ellie was very helpful and quick with her communication. Can't recommend the place enough for any trail riders or others.

  • This is such a charming cottage on top of a hill with great breezes and even better views across the valley. A great place to get away and just relax. Exceptionally clean and the cold bottles of water were a great extra touch.

  • This was our second stay and again, it was perfect! The host, Ellie, is quick to respond and we had all the necessary info before our arrival. The location is sensational and watching the sun set each night was a sight to behold. There is everything you need to enjoy the location and the house. It was very convenient to the rail trail as well.

Bellthorpe is a peaceful, rural area just over one hour from Brisbane in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, and about half an hour from Maleny. Set high in the mountains, we have rich, red, volcanic soil and high summer rainfall. Most of the property is natural rainforest vegetation with a small area set aside for grazing. The Cabins are on the edge of the rainforest and wilderness, with nature near your front door. Oh yes, we also have a couple of waterfalls that flow all year round, but best after rain, together with several walking tracks to explore the property. Hope you enjoy Bellthorpe Stays!
Bellthorpe is just over an hour from Brisbane and not far from Maleny, in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. We are high in the hills (550 m) in a quiet rural locality.
  • David and Wendy are wonderful hosts and we really enjoyed our stay. We really needed a break and bell stays was perfect, comfortable and clean cabin which had everything we needed and great walking tracks around the property which we also enjoyed. Absolutely loved the birds and their visits for a chat and some food. Thanks again, we will be back.

  • One of the most beautiful Air BnB’s I have ever stayed in. If you need some time away in nature without connection to the outside world this is for you. Rolling hills, beautiful rainforest, birds and crisp mountain air. Make sure you do the waterfalls walks on the property. Will definitely be back. Bring supplies as it’s a half an hr drive to pick up things you might forget. Enjoy!
