Barn Conversion in the yorkshire dales, offer of full house self catering accommodation. Sleeps maximum of seven (two doubles three singles). Perfect family/ group getaway in the heart of the yorkshire dales. Albert Hill is a barn conversion and is situated in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. • We had a really nice time, the accommodation was as advertised, clean, and comfortable. The fire / heater gave it a really nice touch in the dark winter nights, and Settle is also a lovely place to stay and take in the views, or venture out for a walk. The nearby Gordale Scar is just a short drive away and is well worth a visit!

  • The barn conversion is well done, really cosy, stylishly decorated and well equipped for preparing meals. A great place to stay whatever the time of year, has a lovely small outside area which would be great in warm weather. Yorkshire is a beautiful county and the people are so friendly. Settle has a couple of pubs and nice bars, choice of pub food, recently opened tapas place and an amazing Indian to eat in or takeaway. We parked in the town, generally it's difficult to park in Settle as it was never meant for cars. That's not a criticism it's just so people know. Definitely would recommend.

  • Great place to stay. Versatile, pleasant surrounding. Ideal for visiting Settle or embarking on the 3 peaks challenge!

    Andrew2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • In a picturesque spot near the top of the village of Settle. Amazing views from the balcony. Space nicely laid out to allow my family of 6 to spread out. You have to sort out street parking on some narrow streets or park down below in town if desired, but we never found it to be difficult.

    Sheref2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great space! We stayed here as a couple, and it still felt nice and cosy even though it sleeps up to 7. The balcony is a lovely spot to enjoy your morning coffee, and the views are incredible. The parking space was a little tight, but we soon got used to it. I imagine it would be difficult with a bigger car though. The town is a very short walk down a steep hill, and has some lovely little cafes, pubs and antique shops to visit. We loved the decor of this place, and the bed was very comfy! We’ll definitely be back to stay again some time!

  • We had a wonderful stay here. The cottage is really beautifully decorated and feels welcoming and homely. The beds are so comfortable and the cottage was spotlessly clean. Suzanne could not have been more helpful. The location of the cottage is perfect for The Three Peaks Walk and you are literally a stone’s throw from the pub. Would highly recommend and we will definitely return!

    Neil2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely beautiful home, spotlessly clean with the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in! We didn’t want to leave. It’s hands down one of the nicest cottages we’ve ever booked. Highly recommended and we will be back in the summer.

    Jen2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Suzanne's cottage is absolutely beautiful inside and out. Even though we stayed there on a cold February weekend, we found the cottage to be in a wonderful location and had plenty of things to do. Check in and parking was incredibly easy and the cottage had everything we needed. A perfect place to relax!

    Melissa2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely AMAZING! Not any faults what so ever with this cottage. Absolutely beautiful, felt like I was at home it’s so cosy. Thank you for letting us stay in your cottage, truly is beautiful. We will be back in the summer 100%!!!

Horton in Ribblesdale, England, United Kingdom

The Garden House is small but perfectly formed. It is however a lovely place to spend a night or two in the Yorkshire Dales.. it's also just a short walk from Giggleswick and Settle. One room living with plenty of charm, ideal for a single person, a couple or 3 friends (a bit like a bunk barn, but more comfy).
The green oak frame building started life as my shed, but now has a heated stone floor, cosy bed deck, mini kitchen, shower "room" and composting loo (it doesn't smell!) The bed deck has a double bed and there's a day bed on the ground floor. It is basic, but does have everything you need to spend a weekend in the Dales. The bed deck, WC and kitchen are in the eves.. but what the place lacks in size it makes up for in charm.
The house is at the end of a quite road, direct access to the fells or a few minutes walk in to Giggleswick or Settle
  • We had such a lovely stay at David’s cabin. The place was clean, tidy and exactly as described. It was a short walk into Settle to the cosy cafes and shops, or a little pub just around the corner. A great little weekend escape!

    Helena2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, cosy and well thought out dwelling, everything you need in a compact space with a very friendly host and stunning surroundings.

    William2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • I booked with David at his Garden House in relative short notice, literally within the space of a few hours of booking and travelling there. Amazing and prompt communication to arrange the booking. The house itself is so idyllic, such a creative way of making a small amount of space into something quirky and relaxing, I felt at home as soon as I arrived. Situated perfectly just out of Settle but very easy to find (even in the dark ha) . Will definitely be booking again! 👍

    David2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely and cosy cabin with more space than others that we have stayed in of a similar type. You have to be fairly mobile and able-bodied to use the ladder but we managed it fine. Great accommodation which we would book again if we needed to be in the area.

    Laura2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Very charming little home from home. Highly recommend

    Tom2020-02-16T00:00:00Z

    Lisa2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic little place! Everything you need for a cosy stay in a beautiful part of the world with amazing walks quite literally on the doorstep. The cabin was perfect for what I needed and David was a super helpful and friendly host, would definitely recommend.

It was a great place from which to explore the Yorkshire dales! Plenty in the kitchen to cater for ourselves and Tim even gave some great recommendations for a nearby birthday breakfast. Cannot recommend highly enough! Thanks for a lovely stay. The fire was extra special and a super comfy bed!

  • If you want a place to get away from it all, then The Fold is perfect. It’s a pleasant walk into Settle for local amenities. Very comprehensive information is provided by Tim and Helen before you arrive and any queries are dealt with promptly. We had a very enjoyable weekend doing very little except relax.

Everything you need for self catering and a good wifi signal too! The surrounding scenery is stunning and Settle is superb for great pubs & quirky shops. We particularly enjoyed the food at the golden lion and the hospitality and ales at the Talbot. Being just a 20 min walk into the village was ideal! We will highly recommend to our friends!

  • Had a lovely weekend in such a cosy cottage! We came to the Dales for hiking but storm Dennis changed our plans, and we ended up having an afternoon in front of the fire (bring plenty of logs!). Tim and Helen were very accommodating and responsive, and had lots of local info to share. Ideal spot for exploring, especially when the sun comes out :)

Delightful 5 person cottage with all amenities, fantastic views and probably one of the best positions in the Yorkshire Dales with Pen-y-ghent right outside the east facing windows. Great value, highly recommended.

  • We had a lovely stay here with our two kids. The hosts were great: a light was out, they fixed it the next day; we left an item behind, they kindly posted it out to us. It was clean, well equipped and lots to keep us entertained inside if the weather was bad (which thankfully it wasn’t). We made equally good use of the board games and local walks guide. We went to Malham Cove and up to the Wensleydale Creamery at Hawes, both of which I would recommend. Beautiful part of the world, lovely little cottage. What’s not to like?

  • We stayed this weekend at Moira’s place for my husband and his friend to do the three peaks. If you’re coming here to walk you cannot stay at a nicer place. In terms of location you are right at the base of Pen-Y-Ghent and the living room window looks right out to the mountains. It’s absolutely beautiful. In terms of the house this is a lovely cottage. The space is very clean and really warm (you can change the heating with the hive). There’s a fire with all the means to build one. The kitchen has everything you need and the house is lovely and cosy. There’s also sky tv with the option to record which was great for the rugby. The shower was nice and powerful and we were left towels to use. Finally, the communication was really great. moira messaged back very quickly and was very accommodating for our requests. We left when the river started flooding and she was very helpful with routes. I can not recommend this cottage enough, we had a really lovely weekend.

The accommodation is entirely private and was spotlessly clean. Brilliant location with walks right on your doorstep. Peaceful and tranquil get-away that left us feeling entirely rejuvenated. We hope to return!

  • A lovely peaceful little place. Clean comfortable beds, decent hot shower, heating really easy to control, with plenty of coal for the fire. Welcoming pint of milk in the fridge. Parking just around the corner a few paces away. Great location for walking direct from the cottage to waterfalls nearby. Lots to do around the area too. Would happily stay here again if in the area.

    Juliet2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Both my friend I decided to meet up in Yorkshire for our first motorbike trip of the year and wanted somewhere close to the Dales and wonderful bike roads. The property is situated in the delightful little village of Giggleswick, within easy walking distance of Settle and its lovely bars and restaurants. We chose Anna place due it's proximity to Settle and its off road parking for our valued bikes. Anna greeted us as she is less then two minutes away and was delightful. She gave us a run down of the local eateries, the best local roads and places to see. The cottage is beautifully clean and very spacious, just what we needed. For those bikers among us or non drivers, there is a local pub/restaurant just 5 doors away. Great food and lovely beer. Would definetly recommend Anna place and the local amenities.

  • Lovely place to stay, so close to everything and great host

    Jon2020-02-22T00:00:00Z

  • A lovely cottage in an ideal spot to explore the Yorkshire Dales. Situated about 10-15 mins walk outside of Settle which has plenty pubs with good hearty food. We are a family of 5 adults who stayed over the New Year period. The cottage is cosy, clean & well equipped. Anna is a lovely host who can give you plenty of tips on walks & places to visit, there is also plenty of information available in the cottage. Can’t fault anything, had a great time, good walk & we’ll definitely be back 😄

    Liz2020-01-02T00:00:00Z

The garden flat is the converted out-buildings in the walled kitchen garden of a large edwardian villa. Plenty of charm, log burner, range, roll top bath, stunning views but only a few minutes walk from Settle. The great outdoors is just outside.... The flat has a large double bedroom with ensuite and a sofa bed for kids or guests.
In the flat there's a large living space with stone fireplace, range, wooden beams and views over the valley and garden. There's one large bedroom with king-size bed, bathroom and a double day bed in the main area if you'd like to sleep separately.. Gated yard, ponds, sitting areas, a lovely garden to spend time in.
Giggleswick is only a 5 minute walk, there's a couple of pubs with real ale and food. Settle is 20 minutes over the river and has several pubs, shops, cafes and restaurants. At the end of the garden the national park stretches for miles, so there's great walking.
  • Charming place in a fab location- definately reccomend!

    Stuart2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great place to stay in a great location. Had everything we needed and not a long walk to town. Would 10/10 go back here.

    Mick2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had the loveliest stay here over Christmas, and were both gutted to leave. Could have easily stayed another week. If you love a walk in spectacular countryside and/or taking it easy, cosying up in a lovely space this is the perfect location for a relaxing break. We will be back!

    Hannah2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at David's flat, so homely and cosy. Loved enjoying a Christmas bailey's in front of the log burner. Had a great afternoons walk straight from the garden up to Feizor stopping at the cafe there and then back past the waterfall at Little Stainforth and along the river. A relaxing soak in the lovely roll top bath was much needed and under floor heating in the bathroom much appreciated! We didn't want to come home...thanks for having us :)

    Terri2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Stylish space, really well laid out. Really enjoyed sitting in front of the log burner with a glass of wine while the rain was tipping down outside. Will certainly be back!

  • The nicest Airbnb we’ve seen- and the most beautiful surroundings!

    Leon2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic place! We had a great weekend in the barn and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. Everything was finished to such a high spec and thoughtfully planned out. The downstairs snug was great on an evening and the beds super comfortable. It was spotlessly clean and the eco cleaning products are a great touch. Tilly was wonderfully helpful and a super host! We would love to visit again.

    Dan2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Tilly’s converted barn is stylish, colourful, warm, spotlessly clean and located in a stunning valley for walking, biking and general sight-seeing, even if you are not here to do the Three Peaks! Tilly was quick and helpful will all communications, and had provided some nice little extras. There were 4 in our party and we found the barn very spacious with the cosy lounge downstairs and with a more spacious room upstairs. It was really hard to find fault with the whole place, but the location with walks from the doorstep and proximity to the railway, topped with views of the peaks from the garden and courtyard, really made this place even more special. Hope to come back in a different season. Many thanks!

    Jason2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Hawkes Barn when my husband and son carried out the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge. This was the perfect location and the thoughtful touches throughout the property were lovely. The space is super clean and modern, would definitely recommend!

  • We really enjoyed our stay, the setting was outstanding and the pub is a really lovely spot. The room is self contained and feels private but the house feels comfortable and Jill and her husband are super hosts. We cannot recommend the breakfast enough!

    Clementine2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Jill and Steve's house is in a PERFECT location, it is so close to the station, the local pub (this pub has wonderful sticky toffee pudding) with wonderful views of all 3 peaks! They are the LOVELIEST couple I've met, very welcoming, friendly and Jill is a really good cook too <3 The breakfast was AMAZING! Jill also picked me and my friend up from the local pub as it was getting really dark and it was very sweet and thoughtful of her doing it. She also SAVED our life by checking the train services for us when our trains got cancelled due to the Storm Dennis <3

    Tiffany2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Besides that lack of phone signal, Jill’s house is stunning. The surrounding landscape is simple fantastic and the hospitality is second to none. The inclusion of breakfast makes the travel so much more relaxing and her local knowledge is supurb.

  • Superb situation on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks trail with amazing views all around. Jill and Steve are so knowledgeable of the area regarding things to do and places to eat. They are really friendly and considerate - couldn't ask for more.We felt as if we were part of the family at times but there is always the option to be secluded in the rooms. Hawes, Settle and Ingleton are all well worth a visit - cheese making to waterfalls covered! The walks are fantastic whether you want to do the 3 Peak challenge or perhaps take it a bit easier and do a Peak per day. Lovely touches included a boot drying room, cakes for tea, tumble dried towels daily and the breakfasts are to dream about. Early booking recommended!! Thanks so much Jill and Steve.

    Mark2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful little BnB with exceptional views of all the peeks. One of the loveliest couples me and my partner have ever met and fantastic hospitality and customer service skills. Jill and Steve couldn’t do anymore to make our trip brilliant. We went to just walk Ingleborough, and we were offered advice on walking routes, a map to find our way, a torch in the room and Jill even offered to pick us up from the local pub at the end of the walk which we needed and were extremely grateful for. We were cooked a full English breakfast in the morning which was also delicious. A fantastic night spent in the dales, we will certainly be returning to complete the other two peeks! Couldn’t reiterate how perfect everything was and would recommend to anyone. Excellent value for money! Thanks guys!

Nearby Settle is a bustling market town nestled under an impressive limestone scar. It is filled with cosy pubs serving traditional ale and hearty food, artisan cafes offering great coffee, brunch and cakes, independent gift and craft shops as well as an independent bakery, butcher, and delicatessen. Fish and chips and takeaways are also available. We'll be delighted to share our recommendations. There are a number of local farm shops and an excellent supermarket, 'Booths' in Settle. Settle also has a Co-op petrol garage with a large convenience shop should you need anything out of hours. There is also a doctors and pharmacy. Settle has a golf course, fishing and pony trekking nearby. Skipton with its castle, canal trips and markets and Kirkby Lonsdale with river walks, gourmet shops, market and cafes are both within 30 minutes drive. We can provide you with lots of suggestions to keep kids happy and busy! Settle has a heated indoor swimming pool, a large bike hire shop (including electric bikes), and playgrounds. There is a lovely 'hands-on' toy shop for little ones. Within 30-40 minutes drive there are farm parks, soft play centres, adventure playgrounds, forest adventure trails, accessible caves, cinemas and bowling alleys. Within an hour you can reach the Lake District which offers plenty of attractions for all ages.
  • What a fantastic cottage! We stayed for a fortnight and it was a real home-from-home with everything you could want. The beds, sofas and duvets are so comfortable. We spent many happy hours cooking and socialising in the lovely kitchen dinner. The separate shower and jacuzzi bath were both super. And the location is to die for. A short 20-25 min walk into Settle (or a 5 min drive) for pubs, shops, supermarket etc. And a few minutes walk into the magnificent Dales. We never tired of waking up to the view. All in all a very special place and one of the best cottages we have stayed in.

  • Green Cottage is a beautifully restored gem in a stunning hidden Dales location. Close to Settle and all amenities, yet set in rural splendour. The cottage has absolutely everything you’ll need for a very comfortable stay. Newly done bathrooms that our better than ours at home. We loved it so much we stayed an extra 3 nights!!

  • Just had four nights at Green Cottage. All i can say is wonderful, fantastic property. Sarah and Simon have put so much work in to this lovely house. It is one of the best we have stayed in and hope to be back soon.

  • A beautiful refurbished Georgian cottage. All the fixtures and fittings are of excellent quality. The beds are very comfortable and we loved the goose down duvet on the king size bed. The welcome tray was full of local goodies and milk and cheese in fridge too. It was lovely looking out at the sheep on the hills in the morning and so quiet. We enjoyed only being a 20 minute walk into Settle as well. Due to a family emergency we had to leave earlier than planned but we will be back in Spring.

    Sarah2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great week here for autumn half term with our three children. The location of the house is ideal - views of the dales and right on a village green which has a playground and football field. There were walks right from the door, and just a mile out of Settle - lots of amenities on the door stop. The house itself is very cosy and comfortable and beautifully furnished. I would highly recommend this property and its hosts - who provided lots of information before arrival and after we arrived and left us some lovely treats for the start of our stay. We hope to be back.

  • This is a fantastic property - beautiful location, wonderful house. Nothing more to add - amazing - would highly recommend. Sarah & Simon are excellent hosts. You won't be disappointed!

  • We have just got back from a 3 night stay at this gorgeous house. It was very homely. It was so much better than expected. Lovely location and perfect for a country escape for you and your family. We took our dogs which was perfect as it was catered for the dogs and the back garden is safe. Our dogs actually got out and ran off and we lost them for over an hour. The whole village come together and helped looked and they where found a mile away in a farmers field safe and sound. Absolutely amazing community. The pub is a stone throw away with outstanding food and is also dog friendly. We will be returning without a doubt to this lovely place. I highly recommend to anyone planning a nice family escape. Thank you once again Catherine for your service and your ongoing communication throughout our stay.

This charming dog friendly Yorkshire Dales cottage with fabulous views is attached to the main farmhouse but has its own garden, parking and separate access. Austwick is a lovely little village with all of the amenities you would need; a great pub, post office, village shop and great walks right from the cottage or the village. A lounge, dining room with table football, air hockey and various table and board games, 2 bedrooms (both ensuite) and a fully resourced kitchen including dishwasher.
Walk straight from your doorstep around the surrounding areas, to Oxenber Woods a site of special scientific interest which is right behind the property, up to the limestone pavement, or further to the Norber erratics. With views of Ingleborough and sitting between the 3 peaks, you can take on some harder terrain or stay at the cottage snuggled up in front of the log burning stove. On your return, relax and clean up, one of the en suite bathrooms has a bath for those who enjoy a long soak, the other has a shower. All toiletries are provided.
Friendly, beautiful little village, with lots of dog walkers, walkers and a small number of mountain bikers. Less than 10 mins from Settle and Ingleton with various shopping and eating out options but the local pub (The Game Cock) is known widely for its good food and friendly atmosphere as well as its roaring fire!
  • We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kathryn's place. Clear instructions and directions provided and the cottage was spotless with great touches of board games and a games table. An absolutely beautiful spot and we took advantage of the 15 minute walk into Austwick to the Game Cock pub. We will be back!

  • Where to even begin. What an amazing beautiful place to stay. The ideal getaway for a family of 4 or 4 people. Situated right on the foot of the national park the panoramic views are to die for. The sunset from the bedrooms was draw droppingly beautiful. We had a little boy with us and we went to the nearby Ingleton caves, and a beautiful walk. Which when carrying a 3 old is tiring. But the views make up for it. We went to the Uk famous The Great Cock Inn and WOW the food is unreal. With amazing service. I was sad to leave this place and the family. They were so helpful in planning our walks and trips and they knew the area very well. They even let us borrow their ordnance map. The kids were so nice and respectful and watching them feed their chickens and goats in the morning was lovely. We will 100% be returning!

A cosy stone riverside cottage in Ribblesdale. The perfect base for exploring the Dales or for a romantic getaway, whatever time of year.
Wagon House is a 200 year old single storey stone cottage, situated alongside the River Ribble. Guests can enjoy this fully equipped self catering accommodation throughout the year, and enjoy tranquil days of pure relaxation in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Walks can be taken from the doorstep and the property is only a couple of miles from the village of Horton-in-Ribblesdale - the starting point for the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. At the back of the house is a large riverside garden, and beyond the river runs the famous Settle to Carlisle railway - perfect for steam train enthusiasts, during the summer months.
Helwith Bridge, in the shadow of Pen-y-ghent, is a charming hamlet in the parish of Horton-in-Ribblesdale. The area is very popular with the caving community and cyclists alike, not to mention the many walkers who come to the area to take on the three Yorkshire Peaks. The village, entirely surrounded by agricultural land, is within easy reach of the market town of Settle - some four miles away. Wagon House is the perfect base for exploring the Dales, whether on foot or by car.
  • Lovely cottage, very clean and well looked after, fab location and lots of great walks from the doorstep.

    Matthew2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • We have just returned home on New Year’s Day after a fabulous 4 night stay at Wagon House. The cottage was quirky, stunning, cosy and comfortable and the location was fabulous. We did lots of walking with our dogs, and spent a few hours in the nearby pub. The cottage had everything we required to have a lovely stay, and coming home to the log burner after a days walking was bliss. The back garden is not fully enclosed and being at the side of the river would recommend keeping any dogs on a lead, just to be safe, however was still easy for first and last toilet breaks. The cottage was well equipped and we were able to cook and prepare our meals with no problems. We did also eat in the pub, which does very good pub grub. The neighbours and locals were friendly and helpful. We will be back soon hopefully.

    Melanie2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, quiet cottage. Beautiful surroundings and walks straight from the front door. The pub is very close with lovely food.

    Danni2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • We love Ian's place, we had to rate it 'as expected' rather than 'better than expected' simply because we've been there before so we knew exactly what to expect! If you want a cosy hideaway to relax in next to a great friendly traditional pub this is it! Hopefully we'll get a chance to come back before too long...

    Larissa2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay and we enjoyed it just as much, this time taking advantage of the location for a hike up one of the three peaks (a trail up Pen-y-Ghent is just down the road). Will definitely be back!

    Chris And Margaret2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Idyllic cottage in perfect location for exploring the three peaks

    Henry2019-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely little cottage conveniently located, with a pub across the car park and within 4 miles of Settle and 2 miles of Horton. There's plenty of top quality walking in the local area, and Pen-y-Ghent can be tackled straight from the front door. The cottage is perfectly sized for two, and even on a snowy weekend in early February was cosy enough, with electric radiators and a multi-fuel stove. Ian was an excellent host, and communicated well. He came into his own when we had a minor issue (the occurrence of which was totally beyond his control), and he stepped in to get it sorted very quickly and with no fuss at all. A truly fabulous host. We had a great stay, and may well return in the future.

  • Great location and facilities and excellent hospitality from Marco and family.

    Neil2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Marco and Jill are very friendly and went out of their way to provide a wonderful and memorable stay. Marco has managed hotels such as The Hilton all over the world and it shows. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms were spotless, there were numerous additional touches to make us feel welcome, such as home made cakes waiting in our room, fruit plates every day, bath robes & slippers, flowers, bathroom soaps, shower caps, wonderful huge, fluffy bath towels. The full cooked English breakfasts were amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already recommended their B&B in Horton-in-Ribblesdale, Yorkshire, to many of our friends.

    Julie2019-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • A very nice place with a real 5 Star feel, great location. Breakfast is filling and tasty. The host is knowledgable of the area and a real lifesaver if you get lost in the peaks.

  • Marco’s house is the perfect place to base yourself for the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Walk. The room was spotlessly clean, amenities hotel standard including bathrobe, slippers and homemade cakes and great cooked breakfast every day 😊. Marco was extremely helpful going the extra mile for its guests including providing packed lunch that kept me going through my walk. Thank you Marco for a wonderful stay, would not hesitate to return!

  • Beautiful conversion of an old stone building, comfortable rooms with excellent hot shower, and extra touches such as slippers, bath robes and homemade cakes each day. Lovely home-cooked breakfast, and we recommend the packed lunches - kept us going easily on our long walks. Marco is a very welcoming host, knowledgeable about the local area, and goes the extra mile to make your stay fantastic.

    Jane2018-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Marco's home is a lovely converted barn. The amenities are modern, and we were served a good cooked breakfast with other options also available. Marco also made a fridge available to us where he supplied fresh milk for our tea :) The house is situated very well for local walking, including a great walk to Pen-y-Ghent which is visible from the garden. Marco is a good source of information about where else to go. We enjoyed our stay at Broad Croft House, and would happily return.

Our cosy barn conversion is the perfect base for you to explore the outstanding natural beauty of the Yorkshire Dales.
The Barn was beautifully converted in the mid 2000s with traditional stone, slate and oak throughout the property. The downstairs comprises a large open plan living area with two comfy sofas and a log burning fire, a modern kitchen with an electric range cooker, fridge freezer, coffee machine and breakfast bar opening to a large dining area. To the rear of the house there is access to a utility room with sink, washing machine and a downstairs w/c - and of course plenty of space to hang your outdoor gear and any muddy boots! Additionally there is a small south-facing garden patio area to the front. Taking the oak staircase upstairs, there are two double bedrooms and one bedroom with two single beds. The bathroom has a full size bath and separate shower area. There is extra space to hang clothes or use for storage on the upstairs landing area which are guests are more than welcome to use.
Well what can we say about the Yorkshire Dales? Simply put; it is in all seasons a stunning area. After many years of visiting and extended stays in our barn we still discover new gems on every visit! The barn is in the heart of the beautiful village of Stainforth. There is a pub serving fine local ales in the village (just a 15 second stumble away!). There are numerous paths for walking routes to suit all abilities beginning as soon as you step out of the door. Stainforth is perfectly located for those wishing to explore the famous Three Peaks. The historic market town of Settle is a 5 minute drive or a pleasant stroll of around an hour along the beautiful River Ribble. Settle has some lovely pubs, shopping and restaurants.
  • Sean’s lovely place exceeded our expectations and his hospitality was outstanding. The house is in a great spot and is really well equipped and presented. A home away from home. It was a strain leaving the fireside couches some mornings but the spectacular walking was well worth it.

    Michael2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay for a week over Christmas. The barn is spacious though at the same time cosy, in a great location for walking and visiting the beautiful towns and villages around the Yorkshire Dales. Sean also added extra touches like a Christmas tree and decorations. We had a great time and would highly recommend staying here. 5 stars!

  • Absolutely fantastic cottage, spacious & perfect for a family break. Great location for exploring the local outdoor attractions & villages. Nice touches with the welcome pack, sparkling clean & just a great experience with no issues at all. Local village pub is on the doorstep & was warm & welcoming with great quality food & drinks. Had 3 nights here & we didn’t want to leave. We will be returning next year!

  • We had a great visit to Hall Garth with our two dogs. The village of Clapham is beautiful with lots to see and do locally and the house itself is superb, well furnished, spotless and very cosy! Philip and Maria are great hosts, very welcoming and good communication. Would recommend to anyone wanting to explore the area!

    Jane2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment I pulled my car onto the drive of Hall Garth Cottage I felt as though I’d come home. A warm welcome, dog-friendly pretty garden, outstanding kitchen and comfy lounge made it a real safe haven. The village centre is only a couple of minutes walk away as is the start of the Ingleborough nature trail. After an epic trek to the top of the mountain I could come home to a warm house and comfy bed. When it rained, there was a good telly and an excellent range of books to entertain me. Can’t recommend this cottage highly enough and would love to come back and do it all again.

    Angela2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Philip and Maria’s cottage was comfortable and homely, and perfect for our stay. It has great access to Yorkshire’s Three Peaks and the Dales National Park. We would definitely recommend and stay again.

  • We had an excellent 5 night stay at this lovely bungalow/cottage. It is spacious, well furnished and spotlessly clean. Beds are very comfortable, plenty wardrobe and drawer space, soft blankets, lots of towels. We loved that all basic items, such as washing liquid, cleaning products, bin bags, dish cloths, foil, condiments and spices, tea, coffee, sugar etc are already in the house. Very private garden area and beautiful views from kitchen. Location was perfect for us to visit Hawes, Ingleton, Skipton, Settle and some lovely smaller villages. We met the hosts Steve and Tina who made it clear that they are happy to help with anything that may be needed. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to stay again.

    Nathan2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a brilliant cottage. I’d give it six stars if I could. The location is good for doing any (or all) of the three peaks or for going on the Settle/Carlisle railway or for general sightseeing. The cottage itself is terrific. Spacious and with a lovely modern decor, it is very comfortable with nice bed linens and lovely towels. We were there as a couple but it would equally suit two couples or a family. Lots of hanging and drawer space. It has the best kitchen equipment I’ve found in an Airbnb. As well as a lovely welcome gift, Steve and Tina had thought of all the things you might need including for example a full set of herbs and spices. The cottage has spectacular views from every window and is wrapped round by a massive patio with two sets of garden furniture plus bbq and fire pit. I didn’t want to leave!

    Annette2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place to stay in an amazing location, with great access to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and springboard to the Lake District. • This place is excellent. I arrived having just had a soaking up on the moor to be greeted by Marco who could not do enough for me. The place is finished to a very high standard with lots of nice little touches. If you are choosey then you won't go wrong by booking this place. I'd return in a heart-beat and probably will do too. It's home from home and then some. Thanks for a lovely stay.

  • Truly a lovely place to stay. Marco made me feel very welcome.

  • Marco and Jill are amazing hosts and have a wonderful B&B. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and to help you to have a wonderful stay. As well as very comfortable beds and a very clean bedroom and bathroom, they go the extra mile with extra touches, such as little cakes waiting in your room, fruit plates every day, bath robe and slippers, huge fluffy bath towels, amazing service. The full English breakfasts they provide are amazing. Would absolutely recommend them for your stay in Yorkshire.

  • Stunning property in the heart of Horton right at the foot of Pen-y-ghent. Beautiful room with lovely touches like dressing gowns, home made apple cake, fresh milk and lots of teabags. The host was charming and the poached eggs perfect. I'd really recommend this place to anyone looking to spend time in this beautiful part of the world. Please don't book when we want to go back though as we really want to stay there again.

    Jane2019-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Marco was a great host, very friendly and informative. I especially loved that there was bread, cereal and a fully stocked fridge (milk, orange juice & water) provided in the pod, so that you could enjoy a private breakfast.

Woodlands was built in 1905 as a country gentleman's residence. Now beautifully restored and furnished in simple early twentieth century style.
Woodlands is a large house, but also homely and you'll have the place to yourself. So you've a choice of ten lovely bedrooms, grand reception rooms or cozy snugs.
Giggleswick is a pretty village with two nice pubs and shop. The lovely market town of Settle is a twenty minute walk across the river.
  • Beautiful house in a beautiful setting. David is so responsive and made our whole stay seamless.

    Julia2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing house! Love that the decor is sympathetic to the age of the building. Host went above and beyond to accommodate our circumstances, and was extremely quick to respond.

  • Wonderful venue for a family gathering! Everything about it - from the big family dining table, roaring fire and comfy bedrooms, to the stunning views across the Dales, is fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

  • What a wonderful place to stay. The reviews and pictures give you an idea of what to expect and your won’t be disappointed. We stayed in November and the whole house was warm and cozy. We felt entirely relaxed and comfortable, thank you David

    Richard2019-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • David’s country house was absolutely stunning. The bedrooms were spacious, and most of them had an en-suite. The house was very clean and neatly put together. The views from the house were breathtaking. This house is perfect for a family get away.

    Matt2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • An outstandingly beautiful house in a stunning location. The house is extremely comfortable, warm and was perfect for a three generational family stay. There was more than enough room and every where you turn and look is so stylishly arranged and thoughtfully designed. We loved walking straight from the door with our labrador into wonderful Yorkshire Dales countryside, yet also having the village amenities on the doorstep. The best bit was coming back to the house after a long walk and enjoying the incredible views from the drawing room window with a glass of wine. It was the perfect family break for us all.

    Fiona2019-10-25T00:00:00Z

From April 2019 2 (dog friendly) micro lodges/pods will be added and are located in the walled garden area next to the main house, both with private terrace and bbq. • Great stay! The pod is super spacious and has an en-suite bathroom, sectional sofa, table and chairs and also outside patio table and chairs. Lots of amenities including a microwave, tv, and breakfast supplies. Had the cooked breakfast (delivered to the pod!) on our second morning and it was delicious. Our hosts also kindly left us food and water bowls and bags for our pooch. Also had a nice pub meal at The Golden Lion, only a block away. The pod is in the perfect location for hiking and is along the 3 Peaks route. Would def stay again

    Megan2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay, the pod was amazing, so clean, stylish, comfy and had everything we needed!

    Melissa2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • The pods are absolute gems, I can't recommend them highly enough!! Really well designed, kitted out with everything you need, cosy yet spacious, bright and airy. Marco is a fantastic host and the breakfast was amazing - we ate it outside on the patio looking up at Pen-y-Ghent, which is effectively Marco's back garden! You will definitely enjoy staying here, and I will be looking for an opportunity to stay again.

Marco was very helpful in allowing us to leave the car at the B&B whilst we did the challenge and provided a great help-yourself breakfast, which we could eat early enough to set off on the challenge for 6am! Definitely set us up for the walk. Gorgeous room and lovely touches, like the home-made cake, choice of hot drinks and range of breakfast food. Highly recommend.
