A fabulous holiday cottage based in the quiet village of Cheriton, nestled in the North Gower peninsula. The cottage has a double bedroom, bathroom with shower, kitchen, living room and further sleeping space in the upstairs mezzanine, which is accessed by a space saver ladder. The barn also boasts a private garden with patio area and a private Hot Tub.
A lovely self contained holiday cottage which has been newly refurbished. The cottage has underfloor heating throughout. A handmade oak ladder staircase offers access to a mezzanine bedroom above. Exposed oak timber throughout. The holiday cottage has a private garden area and boasts a private hot tub for guests.
The cottage is located at the top of the village which means that there is plenty of peace and quiet, especially at night. The barn is located at the roadside which offers easy access. There is very little road noise though as the road is very quiet at all times. Parking is available next to the barn with gated access onto the road.

  • Beautiful accomodation in such a beautiful part of the world. I went to get away and clear some head space and the holiday here really helped, the hot tub is lovely with a roof for the rainy days. Really appreciate how easy everything was and the privacy the hosts gave me

  • Lovely little cottage. The underfloor heating made it really cozy so it was lovely to return to after cold and windy walks. Some beautiful dog friendly walks from the doorstep and stunning surrounding countryside. Thanks Matt and Lara for a lovely stay

**NEW BOILER FITTED OCT 2019** Our house has been lovingly hand made using reclaimed materials and a unique, inventive design. We have an open fire in the living area to keep you cosy and in the winter evenings Outside we have a large garden space with multiple seating areas and a BBQ for those long summer nights Our home is perfect for a cosy romantic getaway, a catch-up with old friends or for a family treehouse adventure, kidds love it! We allow dogs but charge £10 per dog that stays 😊
Home of the designer builder of the solar showers and recycling ‘Reclaimator’ at Glastonbury from late 1980’s and first ‘Green Gatherings’ Passive solar designed for natural winter heating/summer cooling and a TMSthermalstore Our Beautiful Eco-Home, nestled in the treetops of Three Cliffs Bay, will tantalize your senses and make you feel OH so at home. Hand made from logs and recycled materials - There is love in the walls. Designed to maximise internal space but minimise the external (for energy reasons) – Is truly like an eco ‘tardis’ The house is 4+ bedroom, however not in the conventional sense - Two bedrooms are on upper mezzanines (hence the 4 dbl beds) and the 5th bed is a single in a cozy annexe snug. Be aware that the house is open plan and privacy limited - so if you are all on holiday 'together' as a group - one big family, then Treetops is perfect! Just let the tree trunks and flickering flames from the open fire sparkle the earth pigment lime washed walls to create a timeless atmosphere! Space - I lived here happily with my partner and two kids for many years, and we have even had groups of 10+ people stay. Kitchen - recently refurbished, open-plan so you are all together, with fridge, toaster, kettle and a new oven & hob (2019) - enough equipment to cook up delicious dinners! Bathroom - shower with water heated from solar, wood or gas. Cosy & homely, and perfect to wash the sand off beachy feet. Bedrooms - Two downstairs bedrooms, both sunny and bright, with curved hand carved walls and beautiful wood. Two mezzanines, one alice-in-wonderland, up a spiral staircase, which kids absolutely love. The other over-looking the sitting area, for more responsible monkeys, and a grand view of all that is going on. Outdoor - There is a open patio with a large table, a barbeque, outdoor fire pit, and large outdoor sink..perfect for washing wetsuits! Also surfboard storage, padlock points for bikes (cable type locks needed) and covered places to drip dry wetsuits & clothes. The garden sweeps upwards over terraces, spaces for yoga, apple trees and paths of sea shells. Our home makes a beautiful romantic getaway for couples, wine in hand, logs crackling on the fire and with no disturbances. For families, Treetops is a weird and wonderful adventure house, children love the magic of the mezzanines, the tree trunks running through the house and the excitement of the open fire, more communal than televisions! The open plan space allows for a real sense of togetherness. It is also wonderful for groups of friends meeting to catch up and have a good time! However we must add that we are not the house to use for a wild party as we must respect our neighbours. Sound travels to their house quite easily so noise must be kept to a minimum during the night. I.e. no loud music... Sorry!!
Treetops is more or less as close as you can get by car to Three Cliffs Bay. You can walk to the famous Pennard castle with it's glorious sunset views over the river and beach, within 5 minutes. The beach is then a further ten minutes from there. Around the corner is another beautiful beach, Pobbles. By car you can quickly and easily access all of Gower's award winning beaches. Treetops is on Sandy Lane, famous for it's hippy vibes, open minded and down to earth people, its green spaces and quirky hand built homes. It is a special place, famous to many people, and a real getaway from the hustle and bustle of normal life. An experience in itself! Nearby are farmers markets, the busy fishing village of Mumbles, with many shops, cafe's and restaurants, and the Gower Heritage Centre. Pubs are within walking distance (one only 5 minutes away, perfect!) Padlock points for bikes (cable type locks needed)

  • We were meant to travel to Berlin this weekend however, due to the uncertainty of not being able to fly home we booked this wonderful air bnb for 2 nights. I can’t express enough how wonderful Gilli & Michael’s home is. Absolutely beautiful. Sparkling clean. Gorgeous views. Lovely touch with the fresh bread, jams, butter, coffee and milk. We even had the opportunity to soak in the hot tub to star gaze and snuggled up with the log burner in the cosy living room. The bed was extremely comfortable. The only downside was that we didn’t want to get out or leave. We will definitely be returning!! Thank you so much ❤️

  • What a beautiful Airbnb, very comfy and homely. The cold weather didnt put us off using the hot tub (which was already turned on when we arrived so no waiting around) and the log fire was the perfect way to warm back up afterwards... Gilly and Michael were the perfect hosts, very friendly and on hand when required both in person and quick to respond to messages. We were welcomed with some essentials provided (Bread, Milk, Tea, Coffee, etc...) The King Arthur pub is only about 350 metres from the house, where we had some lovely food and sunk a few drinks, good atmosphere and very welcoming, highly recommend... We will definitely be looking to come back to enjoy your lovely home again. Jon and Bex.

  • Great little hide away

    Joe2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fabulous one night stay here. The cottage is well designed, the bathroom is huge with funky tiles, large shower and deep bath. Kitchen is well equipped and Gilli leaves a welcome pack of organic bread and beautiful home made marmalade. The hot tub is a huge bonus, we had a sunny soak in the afternoon then back again in the dark to study the stars. The King Arthur is a short walk, good food and lovely atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will visit again and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to explore Gower

Bright and airy coastal house a few minutes walk from the no. 1 beach in the UK! Totally relax with some sea views, spectacular walks in national trust land all around, wonderful secluded beaches accessed across farmland, and a very well equipped, spacious home. This is my own home so not pristine luxury furnishings, rather beach house attire that is robust.
Very bright and spacious with 4 double sized bedrooms (2 King, 2 twin), large open plan sitting room and kitchen diner with Aga style cooker, sea views and very tranquil location. The property is not a commercial let and price at less that £20 per head is designed to reflect that. Meant for fun family relaxation without having to worry about things. If you want 5 star luxury with new furniture then this will not be the place for you.
Outstanding natural beauty with beaches, cliff and hill walks and wild ponies. The whole area is national trust owned to maintain its secluded perfection.
  • We had a wonderful family weekend at Kate's house. It was lovely and warm with sea views and within walking distance of the sea. It was very well equipped and very comfortable. It had a lovely big double room upstairs with sofa's and TV with a view of the sea with onsuite shower and toilet. We would highly recommend staying here.

    Philip2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • The house is far more roomy than I expected. Beautifully clean, spacious, warm, beds very comfortable. Great sea views. Very practical flooring if you have a dog with you. Well positioned for walking the coast path and the local scenery is quite spectacular.

  • Such a beautiful house with so much space. Everything around is so close with just a short walk to Rhosilli Bay. We will definitely be going back!

  • A beautiful house with perfect glimpses of sea views. Well decorated with cosy touches and a very well equipped kitchen. Cooking on the Aga was an experience in itself! A safe and secure garden for dogs and children. Walking distance to beautiful beaches and countryside walks., plus cafes and museums etc etc. Perfect!

    Dawn2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had the best, most relaxing time at Kate’s place. The accommodation felt homely, and had the most amazing sea views. It’s situated just a short walk to Rhossili Bay, where you will also find great places to grab a coffee or have a bite to eat. Kate’s place is well equipped, bright and spacious. There were even games to keep the children amused! Highly recommend

  • We are a family of 5 - 3 teenage children + niece, nephew + sons girlfriend joined us too - so 8 adults fitted fine in this house. We have a tradition of going away between Christmas and New Year over the last few years to go for walks and play loads of board games. This house was ideal for this Had a great time. House was a perfect for us size for us. Wife appreciated the well stocked kitchen, I appreciated the location. We all appreciated the warmth of the house. The mattresses were very good quality too (I have a weak back - so often struggle when going away). Overall - perfect fit for our family. Did 3 coastal walks from the house itself without driving and 1 walk with driving about 20 mins. Nice open plan lounge/dining room/kitchen too. Recommend to any family looking for a base in the Gower

    Neil2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely few days over Christmas. The place was really warm with all the home from home comforts and amenities to make a prefect roast dinner! We were fortunate with the weather as it was glorious on Christmas Day. We especially enjoyed our walk to the beach, which is not far at all. We hope to come back and stay in the summer. Xxxx

  • A perfect, cosy stay in the hut - not even storm Dennis could stop us enjoying this lovely spot! It was warm, dry and the most relaxing place to read a book, drink wine and listen to the rain. When the clouds cleared we got a superb night sky to gaze up at. The dogs also made themselves at home and none of us wanted to leave. The only thing to bear in mind is the shower/kitchen is a bit of a walk from the hut but I probably wouldn't mind this in dryer weather! Luckily the toilets are just a few steps away. Would definitely recommend and would love to return and explore the area more in the warmer months.

  • Jacky's cottage is superb! We planned (unexpectedly) our long weekend during storm Dennis - Jacky very kindly kept us informed regarding the road closures and offered to defer our stay because of the storm. The cottage was clean, comfortable and cozy, and the log burner kept us and the dog warm throughout the evening. The location of the cottage is perfect as it is close to all the beaches and has nice walk routes right next! Thank you Jacky for our lovely stay!

Staying here made our weekend extra special. Very relaxing and comfortable. Will definitely be looking at coming again so we can see more of the area!

    Lisa2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the cottage and were sad to leave. It’s super cosy and was very well set out and equipped for our toddler also. It’s in a lovely peaceful setting surrounded by sheep, countryside and within striking distance of everything in the flower as it was so central. Jacky met us on arrival and had bought us a bottle of Prosecco which was a lovely touch. We had fresh logs for the fire and were made to feel welcome straight away. The cottage is very comfortable and we loved the farm animals and the garden too. We will be back again for sure. Don’t hesitate to book especially if you have kids or just want to get away for a relaxing break.

  • This is a wonderful retreat, in a beautiful part of the world. The annex is is of the highest quality; modern and stylish, but still cosy. Everything is of a great standard, and Hari and Chris left a useful guide with places to eat and walk. Even though you're next door to the hosts, they left us to our own devices and it felt like a genuinely private stay. One of our very best and favourite Airbnb experiences.

  • Lovely property in a great location. Nice touches to make our stay more special. Already looking at our calendar for when we can go back.

  • This is a fabulous Airbnb -compact but ideal for 2 people and is to a vary high standard. Spotlessly clean and some nice touches -dressing gowns and brownies Lots of useful local info and the beach is on your doorstep. We walked to rhossili bay in the coastal path which is about 8 miles one way but you can get a bus back Definitely will consider a return visit

  • Western side cottage was fabulous. Stylish and practical, in a great location, quiet yet more than close enough to the local pub! A wonderful place to stay in a truly breathtaking part of the world. Can not reccomend enough.

    Tommy2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful annex set in peaceful little village. Great location to visit the Gower and surrounding areas. Hosts Hari and Chris were so welcoming and helpful with top tips on the area (as well as delicious homemade brownies upon our arrival!). The annex is beautiful and super clean! Cannot recommend this Air B&B more! If you are visiting the Gower, this is where you should stay!

    Naomi2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • As we have stayed at ‘The Side’ several times before, we knew what to expect and were not disappointed. The location is stunning. The accommodation is of a high standard - the bed is so comfortable, the shower is amazing and the whole place is cosy. We really enjoyed the delicious brownies after a day out walking. Hari’s recommendation of the Britannia Inn was spot on for a special birthday meal. Hari and Chris are great hosts - prompt in communication, on hand if you need them but give you privacy. It’s a lovely place to spend a few days.

    Sara2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Spent 2 nights here for my girlfriends birthday, and we were both very impressed! Really rural private area but only a short distance from rhossili beach

Beynon Cottage is a luxury seaside retreat, newly built in April 2011, to a high standard. It sleeps 4 in comfort, and is situated in the heart of Port Eynon village just a two minute level walk to Port Eynon's award winning sheltered, south facing, blue flag beach. Beynon Cottage is a 7-minute drive from the Michelin-starred restaurant The Beach House at Oxwich.
The cottage is named after one Philip Beynon, Master Mariner, who lived on the site of the cottage in the 19th Century. Port Eynon is a Conservation village with a simplistic quality and style of house, typified by white-washed walls and slate roofs. Once occupied by mariners, oyster fishermen, and quarrymen, the village is now a holiday destination flourishing amidst a truly magnificent coastline and some outstandingly beautiful countryside.
Port Eynon is the most southerly point on the Gower peninsula and is steeped in history and intrigue. The Gower was the very first part of the UK to be dedicated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with all of its beautiful beaches, stunning scenery and renowned coastline within easy reach of Port Eynon, itself a dedicated Conservation Area village.
  • Beynon Cottage was a wonderful way to spend a long weekend. The cottage itself is very cosy with a power shower, comfy bed, great coffee machine, a working fire and all the basics you would expect. The real joy is found in the surroundings - it is within a 15 minute drive to some of the most spectacular scenery we've ever seen. Rhossili bay, Mewslade bay and 3 cliffs bay were truly breathtaking. We were fortunate enough to arrive at Rhossili bay at low tide so were able to walk to Wormshead peak which was incredible. Port Eynon is a quiet seaside town, with a couple of lovely pubs, although it is probably more lively when in the spring and summer months. We would love to come back again one day to this extraordinary part of the world and would thoroughly recommend Beynon Cottage to everyone!

    Henry2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Ideal location to explore the area, walks from the doorstep and added bonus of a pub just around the corner. Well equipped cottage with everything you could need

  • Fantastic long weekend in Beynon cottage. Snug and warm with a powerful hot shower, and a great pub round the corner.

  • Lovely short break in the Gower. The cottage was very clean and well equipped - we enjoyed the welsh cakes and milk left for us. Good communication and easy check in. There are walks from the door - pub is a short distance away and the beach as well as the cottage is in a good location for exploring the Gower. Would consider booking again!

    Helen2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • A great little cottage in a fabulous location from which to explore the Gower. Rhossili Bay is stunningly beautiful but so too is the walk to Oxwich Bay and Three Cliffs Bay. Spotlessly clean, really comfortable with some nice touches. We would absolutely recommend cottage Beynon to anyone looking for a relaxing break in a beautiful part of the world.

    Jane2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beynon Cottage is a delightful place to stay to enjoy the wonderful Gower Peninsula. Perfectly located on a village lane 1 minute walk from the beach and round the corner from the Ship Inn. Very well appointed and with a lovely little enclosed front garden with table and chairs to sit outside in the evening with a drink and enjoy the peace and quiet. Highly recommended.

Delightful stone cottage with sunny front deck and small lawned garden with stone walls and sea view. Short walk down hill to beach. Light, airy and bright inside. Cottage can accommodate 4 in 2 bedrooms (super king in large master bedroom, 2 single beds in bedroom 2.) Two good sized three seater settees in living room. There is central heating, double glazing, log burner, 32 inch Smart TV with Freeview play, DVD player with a selection of dvds, and wifi.
We look forward to welcoming you to our lovely cottage. We spend a lot of time enjoying it ourselves as well as renting to guests. We have our own dog who has a wonderful time on the beaches and coast path on Gower and so have decided we can welcome one small to medium dog. The small front garden, which gets sun for a large part of the day, is secure unless your dog is intent on escape! The deck is wonderful for sitting out and has a sea view across to Devon. There is a small patio table, garden umbrella and 4 chairs for your use in the spring and summer season. The cottage is probably more suited to older rather than very young children due to stone steps and approx. 70 cms drop from edge of deck to lawn. Please be careful! There is one upstairs bathroom with toilet, washbasin, bath and over bath electric shower. Master bedroom has superking bed and second bedroom two singles. Beds have duvets and bedding and towels are provided. Dining kitchen is spacious and has solid pine table and 6 chairs, slim dishwasher, washing machine, electric cooker, microwave and fridge freezer. Tea towels are provided. Living room has two settees. There is a Smart TV, dvd and log burner. WiFi is provided. Access to the cottage is across a grass verge, enter the front side gate which leads to a stone and decking area and into the cottage living room via double patio doors. The keysafe is located at the side kitchen door down a few steps from the verge. Parking is on the road in front of the cottage wall, or at the widest point of the road on entering the village. Please do not park on the side grass verge as this land is owned by our neighbour.
Horton is a small and picturesque coastal village set on a hill, with a beautiful, clean, safe and accessible beach, backed by sand dunes. It shares the bay with the village of Port Eynon at the other end of the beach, easily reached on foot. The Gower coast path offers wonderful walks in either direction connecting unspoiled beaches. Very near the cottage is Bank Farm holiday village, which has a bar, cafe, laundry and seasonal shop selling basic groceries and ice cream. The bar and cafe serve hot and cold food from breakfast until late. A few minutes drive away is a great seasonal fish and chip shop, “Chips Ahoy” and a small Premier supermarket at Scurlage. A little further at Knelston is a garage and small supermarket at the rear. At Port Eynon is our local pub, the Ship Inn, which is a welcoming and dog friendly pub with good food, and local beers. There are also two seasonal fish and chip cafes and sitting out areas behind the beach. The very popular King Arthur pub at Reynoldstone is a few minutes drive away. The Beach House Restaurant at Oxwich (literally on the beach) is a wonderful dining experience in a beautiful setting, highly recommended. There are numerous wonderful walks on the Gower coast path, different beaches and coves to explore as well as further inland where there are common heathlands, historic sites and wild ponies. The Gower is a designated area of outstanding natural beauty and boasts the world renowned Rhossili beach. Sainsbury, Tesco and Asda all deliver to the village.
  • A lovely cosy cottage in a quiet village just a 5 min walk (downhill) to the beach and a 15 min walk to the nearest pub - The Ship Inn - in Port Eynon. The cottage itself has a good size and well-equipped kitchen with a large kitchen table. The lounge has a large comfy sofa and the log burner was wonderful to relax by in the evening. The large bed is the comfiest I have ever slept in! Wendy very kindly left prosecco & chocolates - a lovely New Year treat! Horton has the perfect beach for dogs (Oct - April) and our doggie also enjoyed the walks to Rhossili and Oxwich Bay from the cottage. It's the perfect little getaway and we were sad to leave but I'm sure we'll be back! Thank you Wendy!

  • This is a wonderfully cosy and comfortable place from which to explore the spectacular and unspoiled Gower coast. Wendy's place has great charm and has everything you need. A sea view from the sitting room/garden is a real joy come rain or shine. Useful shop nearby for milk etc. You can walk the coast paths from the cottage in either direction. We loved our stay and would happily return.

  • Great location, 5 minutes from beach and access to coastal walk to smugglers cave, overton and rhosilli if you want. Shipping Inn seemed to be the only place open, but it's winter so that was expected. The food there was great! Chris's place was great, TV, books, dvds, extremely clean and in a quiet area. Well worth it for the surrounding scenery.

    Kristian2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Spacious property in immaculate condition. Minutes away from the beach and local pub. Host was always available to answer queries.

    Pritpal2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I had such a lovely time staying at Chris’s place. The house was sparkling clean when we arrived and Chris was super friendly and helpful. The beach and the local pub were both within walking distance, even my father who uses a walking stick made the journey comfortably. We spent most of our days at the beach and our evenings in front of a log fire, what more could you want? All in all a wonderful little get away.

  • Emma’s cottage is absolutely beautiful and cozy and has all the amenities you’d need! There are two double bedrooms upstairs and the two single beds are in a bedroom downstairs. It was lovely and warm when we arrived and Emma had put some flowers on the kitchen table for us. Would definitely recommend.

  • Great cottage. Close to beaches. Long drive up farm lane with potholes to get to property. Emma and her son Will were great. The cottage is on a working farm but that added to the experience - especially holding the newly born lambs. The cottage has everything you need for a family break.

  • We enjoyed a family weekend with our 3 older children. We were very lucky with the weather for January; as it was mild and only rained for one day. The appartment was warm, clean, very comfortable and well equipped. It was well placed for us near to the beach. We had bought some great pizza from the Bakery at the Gower Heritage Centre, we had an evening meal at The Ship in Port Eynon which was very friendly and served a very good curry and steak. Then had breakfast at The Bay Cafe at Rhossili Beach which was lovely and had a great view of the beach. Thank you to our hosts we look forward to returning.

  • Had a fantastic stay in apartment 3. Myself, wife and little boy of 3 yrs. My boy absolutely loved the space in the flat. Enough beds for him to sleep in one on his own which was ideal. Everything was safe, steps wise and furniture etc. He also loved sitting at the very good breakfast bar to eat every meal. The beach was absolutely perfect for us. Not only is it a stunning location, but it's also just a 3 min walk (if that) away. It was an ideal mini break without complications. Will definately be back again.

Jessamine is a lovely traditional cottage situated in the pretty coastal village of Port Eynon and is just a two-minute level walk to the Blue Flag beach with spectacular coastal walks starting from the front door. Local pub, restaurant and beachside cafes all serving good food a short walk away.
Wood block and quarry tile floors, exposed beams and an original stone fireplace are just some of the features which give Jessamine Cottage its charm. The lounge is furnished with two sofas, occasional furniture and TV with Freeview and DVD. There is also a good selection of DVDs and books to suit all ages and information on the local area. The dining room is furnished with a traditional Welsh dresser and farmhouse table and chairs for four. The kitchen is fully equipped with quality utensils, double oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge, ironing board and iron. Wifi. There is a separate dining / breakfast room with farmhouse table, four chairs and a traditional Welsh Dresser. Jessamine sleeps 4 in two bedrooms. Upstairs there is a lovely spacious double bedroom with original stripped pine floor boards and furnished with a traditional cast iron double bed, welsh oak chest of drawers and a built in wardrobe. The twin bedroom is furnished with a wardrobe, antique pine chest of drawers and a bedside table and lamp. Outside there is a lovely private and very sheltered patio which catches the sun all year round and has table and chairs for four people and a BBQ. Perfect for eating outside and sipping chilled wine or cold beers. The patio is safe and secure for young children and dogs. There is a free of charge dedicated off road parking space for one vehicle.
Port Eynon was once a thriving harbour, exporting oysters, fish, limestone and salt to nearby Swansea and towns and cities on the Bristol Channel, which it overlooks. Its sheltered position allegedly made it a haunt of smugglers and at low tide a good place to explore is Culver Hole which is variously described as a huge pigeon loft (albeit accessible only from the seaward side of the cliff, completely hidden from view and half a mile away from the nearest house) and a smugglers’ hideaway for contraband goods. The oyster boats (and, sadly, the oysters) have gone. Today, Port Eynon’s main commercial activity is ice cream and camping. There are several camp sites around the village, which makes it a lively place in the Summer Holidays, though the long beach never really gets crowded. There is a good village pub serving locally brewed craft beer and other refreshments plus meals, a family friendly restaurant and a couple of beachside cafes serving great fish and chips, ice creams etc. All of these are a genuine two-minute walk or less from our front door. The RNLI have a lifeboat at the Horton end of the beach, with a shop and there’s usually an open day in the summer when you can go and chat to the crew, see the boat and buy Welsh cakes and other goodies made by local supporters. During the summer season (1 May through to 30 September) the RNLI have a Lifeguard station on the beach. The beach’s Blue Flag status means that it meets the stringent international standards of the Federation of Environmental Education’s Blue Flag criteria including standards for water quality, safety, environmental education and information. Between 1 May and 30 September dogs are not allowed on the beach between the Lifeguard Hut, which is directly in front of the beach access from Port Eynon, and the Lifeboat station at Horton. Dog owners can, however, turn right (west) from Port Eynon and use the beach between there and the Salthouse. All of the coastal paths around Gower are dog friendly. There are a number of interesting historic sites just a short walk from Jessamine Cottage. Culver Hole we have already mentioned. The Salthouse dates from the seventeenth century when salt was a valuable commodity and the low rainfall, sheltered environment and numerous rocky pools around Skysea on the western point of Port Eynon Bay, meant that harvesting it from the sea here made economic sense. Inevitably, the building’s position at the far end of the natural harbour mean that it too has an association with smuggling. The many pools around the Salthouse were also apparently used to sort and store oysters, before they were shipped to Swansea and thence to London. You’ll be lucky to find many oysters, but the pools still make for fabulous rockpooling and there are crabs and lobsters to be found at low tide.
  • A wonderful cottage. Three of us had a lovely time, walking along the coast, having a nice dinner at the local pub, and the cottage was the perfect space to relax in in the evenings. We will definitely come back!

Rock Cottage Barn is a traditional stone-built Gower barn in the pretty coastal village of Horton with a fabulous view over the bay to Port Eynon Head. Converted to a very high standard in 2013 and just a five-minute walk to the award-winning Blue Flag beach.
Rock Cottage Barn is situated in the pretty Gower village of Horton with a fabulous view of Horton & Port Eynon Bay and is just a five-minute walk to the award-winning sandy beach. Newly converted in 2013 to an exceptionally high standard, Rock Cottage Barn retains all of its traditional charm as one of Horton’s oldest buildings, combined with all the modern comforts and conveniences needed for a relaxing holiday. Sleeps two in one light and airy mezzanine bedroom which can be arranged with either a king-size bed or as a twin bedroom. Please specify at the time of booking which you would prefer. Bed linen and towels for use in the cottage are provided. Downstairs there is a spacious open plan kitchen/diner and living space which is very tastefully presented, with a fabulous limestone floor The high-spec kitchen is very well-equipped with a double oven, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, ironing board and iron. In the adjacent living area there is a dining table which pulls out to seat up to four people, a very comfy sofa and an armchair and a large plasma screen TV. The shower room is situated on the ground floor and has a large walk-in power shower. Outside, a very private and sheltered courtyard (with table and chairs) has fabulous views over the Bristol Channel to Port Eynon Head. Perfect for sitting out with a cold beer or a chilled glass of wine on a warm evening. Off-road parking for one car. Wifi. Sorry no pets or children. Strictly no smoking inside the cottage
The Gower Peninsular is a walkers' heaven. With its spectacular coastline, breathtaking countryside and historic castles and churches it's easy to see why Gower was designated Brtain's first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Rock Cottage Barn is perfect for walkers with coastal walks starting right from the front door. The Barn is well stocked with maps, routes and walks to suit all abilities. Horton and Port Eynon beach’s Blue Flag status means that it meets the stringent international standards of the Federation of Environmental Education’s Blue Flag criteria including standards for water quality, safety, environmental education and information. Between 1 May and 30 September dogs are not allowed on the beach between the Lifeguard Hut, which is directly in front of the beach access from Port Eynon, and the Lifeboat station at Horton. There are a number of interesting historic sites just a shortish walk from Rock Cottage Barn. All of these are approximately 15-20 minutes walk along the beach or a five minute drive. In season Bank Farm in Horton has a lively bar which is a short walk from the cottage. And The King Arthur pub and restaurant in nearby Reynoldston is excellent any time of the year. In Port Eynon the Salthouse ruins are worth visiting and date from the seventeenth century when salt was a valuable commodity and the low rainfall, sheltered environment and numerous rocky pools around Skysea on the western point of Port Eynon Bay, meant that harvesting it from the sea here made economic sense. East of Horton, along the coast path you will find Slade a small, very sandy and sheltered beach favoured by locals.
  • Loved it!

  • We've visited the Gower many times and this is one of our favourite stays. Well equipped and comfortable cottage. Horton doesn't have a pub or shop (at least not in December) but we like the Ship Inn in Port Eynon, which is approx. 15 mins walk (although quite steep). Thank you for a wonderful stay

    Mandy2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • RCB is a lovely little cottage with everything we needed for a few days on The Gower. The location is perfect, very quiet and dark at night and only a short (if steep) walk down to the beach and pub in Port Eynon. I'm sure we'll be back!!

    Mike2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely time we had at Rock Cottage Barn, from entering and finding an immaculately clean kitchen and living area, to the spacious mezzanine bedroom and not forgetting the ample patio area with sea views . In the kitchen on arrival was the welcome pack (a very nice touch, the red wine was very nice). The kitchen was well stocked with every gadget, device and machine you would need. The bedroom was so dark and peaceful and the bed so comfy I slept like a teenager for the first time in years. With a pub and local amenities within 10 minutes drive/walk this makes for an amazing place to call base and explore the Gower.

    Philip2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • A well laid out cottage equipped with everything you need and more for a relaxing holiday . Warm and welcoming, very clean , comfy bed, great shower and plentiful hot water , Definitely one to recommend and perfectly located for exploring the Gower Coast , great walking, Good local pub within walking distance to eat and local bus service if you want to walk and bus back.

    Fran2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was clean and tidy and very well equipped. The beach at Horton & Port Eynon is excellent with plenty of space and impressive views across to North Devon. A good base for touring the Gower and we would recommend a visit to Mumbles.

    James2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Particularly loved the outside sitting area with the wonderful sea view. Lovely short walk down to the sea and into Port Eynon too. Couldn't fault the accommodation or the local area. Perfect place to discover the Gower and will definitely go back to explore more.

    Claire2019-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed an amazing week at rock cottage barn. We arrived to find a a bottle of wine and Welsh cakes left out for us. The cottage was very tidy and clean. Within the welcome pack we're instructions on everything we possibly needed to know which made it very relaxing. It was a perfect stay in a georgeous location.

This 18th Century Grade 2 Listed renovated Chapel provides a lovely and airy place for a couple to spend some quality time. The Chapel still contains the stain glass windows along with the pews now being utilised as the wooden floor. The open plan kitchen and living room focus on the vast log burner which blends seamlessly into the mezzanine floor containing a double bed and shower room over looking the vast living room space .
The vast floor space and high ceilings lend Y Chapel to spending time round the vast log burner in the winter months. In the summer months the close proximity to the beautiful beaches of the Gower, most reachable within 15 minutes, means you will want to keep returning to explore the area tome and time again.
A lovely rural setting nestled in the heart of the Gower providing quick access to the many beautiful beaches.

Perfect location for walking, water sports, and/or for couples needing a relaxing or romantic break by the sea. Dog friendly.
NOW MANAGED BY THE OWNERS (All previous reviews 5*) Newly converted and very tastefully presented throughout. Dellside has a lovely open-plan living and kitchen area. Outside there is a small, private and sheltered south facing court yard on the ground floor as well as a small private balcony area on the first floor to enjoy the sunshine. Perfect for sitting out drinking cold beers or chilled wine with a meal on warm evenings. There is a good village pub serving locally brewed craft beer and other refreshments plus meals, a family friendly restaurant and a couple of beachside fish and chips and a coffee shop. All of these are a genuine three-minute walk or less from our front door. The beach’s Blue Flag status means that it meets the stringent international standards of the Federation of Environmental Education’s Blue Flag criteria including standards for water quality, safety, environmental education and information During the summer season (1 May through to 30 September) the RNLI have Lifeguards patrolling the whole beach. Between 1 May and 30 September dogs are not allowed on the central part of the beach between the Lifeguard Hut, which is directly in front of the beach access from Port Eynon, and the Lifeboat station at Horton. Dogs are however allowed on the beach either side of this and there is ample exercise space, beach, rockpools and sea to be enjoyed both ends. The Port Eynon and Horton RNLI lifeboat is at the Horton end of the beach, with its own shop and there’s usually an open day in the summer when you can go and chat to the crew, see the boat and buy Welsh cakes and other goodies made by local supporters. All of the coastal paths around Gower are dog friendly but we ask you to follow the country code at all times. Sheep and cattle at times graze right up to the cliff edges. There are a number of interesting historic sites just a short walk from Dellside. • We had a fantastic couple of days and can’t speak highly enough of our wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcome. They have done a lovely job creating a homely place to stay with beautiful gardens and views. Booking communication was quick and easy and Rossmore exceeded our expectations. It is in a tranquil location only 5 minutes to the beach and in short distance to the Gower coastal path, the reason of our 2-night stay. The B & B room was sparkling clean and cosy with thoughtful touches for comfort and ease. We also had a dining & lounge room to ourselves where we had breakfast that was varied, fresh and tasty. We really enjoyed walking on the stunning coastal paths locally and enjoyed a great meal at The Ship Inn, 15 mins walk down in Port Eynon. Thank you very much Sue! Hope to see you again when we come back to stay at Rossmore to explore the second part of the coastal walk.

My place is very close to the beach (3 minute walk), Wales Coastal Path (1 minute walk) and Oxwich Bay Hotel (3 minute walk). You’ll love my place because of the privacy, ambience, outdoors space (backdrop of a wood), neighbourhood, and 50 Mbs FTTP Wifi. It is good for couples or a family, for the beach, or lots of walks, or functions at Oxwich Bay Hotel. Enjoy the 1st AONB in UK with the world's 2nd highest tidal rang on the doorstep, and a Gower Ambassador host.
You have a large lounge come dining area with a well equipped kitchen. The sofa changes into a double bed, in addition to the two singles or one Superkingsize-width bed in the bedroom.

  • Good hospitality, great local knowledge, fab location (2 mins from the beach), really recommend 😀

  • Stayed at the house for a wedding at Oxwich Bay hotel and the local is absolutely perfect. The house itself has everything you could need, a lovely space for a weekend trip. Claire was very helpful and accommodating, couldn't fault a thing

    Jenna2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This one bedroom (plus sofa bed) cosy annex to Alan and Claire's home is a superb stay. Information beforehand was excellent, especially lots of messages about the status of the area in the middle of storm Dennis just as we were due to arrive. The location on Oxwich bay is perfect. We walked to the stunning Three Cliffs bay and back, with gorgeous light, a rainbow and big skies (small detour for lunch at the Gower Inn). We also took a bus to Rhossili (bus stop two mins from house) and hiked back all along the coastal path, about ten miles. With a stop in the pub in Port Eynon. In Oxwich itself here's a fancy beach house for Michelin starred food, or the Oxwich hotel for a bit lower key but we didn't make it to either. The apartment itself has underfloor heating throughout so it's super cosy. It was lovely to arrive to milk, juice, bread, tea, coffee and two hearty slices of Barabrith! Alan's enthusiasm for the area is infectious, and his knowledge encyclopedic. He even managed to lend us a coat when my son forgot to bring his! All in all, a lovely, homely, comfy stay in a superb location, with lovely hosts. Thank you so much!

    Laura2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Good communication, Claire and Alan seem to care a lot about their guests, I felt very welcomed. Would definitely recommend if you're an outside person though there isn't a lot more to Oxwich than the beach/walks, but if that's what you're looking for you've found the place.

    Cormac2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent time at Claire & Alan's, and fantastic orientation chat on arrival. The place was sparkling clean and the location is amazing - a stone's throw from the beach. Plus views over a delicious garden. Thank you for your great hosting A&C! We will be back.

  • Rona and Rob were so helpful and friendly. We stayed during the storms but despite the floods around us Puffin House was warm and cosy! Horton is a quiet, special village with a beautiful beach to walk along even at this time of year. The house has space for all the family, including the four legged kind. We will be booking again soon! Thank you!

  • We had such a fab time in Puffin House. It was perfect for a long weekend in the Gower. Was so great to reach the coast path, literally walk out the front door-so good! House has absolutely everything you need, and was really cosy. Perfect to relax in after a long walk on the coast. Rob and Rona were very friendly and I thoroughly recommend for anyone looking to explore the gower and have a relaxing place to rest! Thank you so much!

  • Rona and Rob are wonderful hosts. They are friendly and warm. The accommodation is excellent. Its warm, homely, and has everything you need for a wonderful stay. A 3 minute walk to a beautiful beach is breath taking and it is so quiet at night a peaceful sleep is guaranteed. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend to anyone to stay, a warm, welsh reception awaits you!

    Laura2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • The house has everything you could possibly want. And Rob and Rona were friendly and welcoming. And I must say the Welsh cakes went down a treat! The location is probably the main selling point, being only a couple of minutes walk to the beach. And a lovely beach it is too. We walked to the next bay, which was a stunning (albeit rather soggy in places) walk with rocks and trees, and so many views. Highly recommended.

    Linda2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a brilliant weekend in Puffin House. Rona was so quick to answer my questions and had lots of helpful suggestions and advice, and great directions. The house was extremely cosy and very well-equipped. Perfect for our family of 5 and the dog. Rona had even left us some delicious homemade Welsh cakes. It’s a beautiful part of the world and when we head back to the Gower we would definitely book Puffin House with Rona again.

  • Puffin House is very spacious and clean. We enjoyed our stay here and loved the proximity to the beach! Rob and Rona were excellent hosts and the place was very clean and tidy!

  • A wonderfully snug little cottage which is perfect for two people in a wonderful location for the coast path. There is a delightful garden for sitting in when the weather permits. The the cottage has all the amenities you would expect and the woodburner is a wonderful bonus and makes it all so cosy. I love the way space has been so cleverly used and it is such a relaxing place that I really did not want to leave!

    Stephen2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place to escape to for a few days. The cottage is perfectly located for walks along the coastal path and beach and there is a pub within walking distance (10 mins). The cottage itself is lovely and cosy, the space works so well and had everything we needed. Thank you, Kate!

    Lizzie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Warm, cosy, cute cottage with a beautiful view of the sea. We really enjoyed our stay! Kate was very communicative and met me on arrival to show me around. We look forward to returning in the summer months.

  • I had spotted this little cottage whilst out on a walk on a previous Gower break and I had kept their business card, pleased to see it was suitable for 1-2 people (I have found in the past that most self-catering accommodation sleeps 4+ and is therefore priced accordingly). It is a lovely little cottage, small in size but cosy, with a warm rustic feel to it, comfortable and well designed, as well as thoroughly equipped. The wood burning stove is very enjoyable in the evenings (a must for me when I select accommodation) and the south facing garden, with table and chairs, is perfect when the sun comes out. The digital radio was a pleasant surprise and so was the extensive library of books and DVDs. The location is superb, with one of the most beautiful stretches of the coastal path just at the bottom of the field. The Middleton bus stop is just a few steps away, making it very easy to reach this cottage on public transport. Rhossili with its stunning beach and the Worm's Head pub, for a pint with breathtaking views, are also easy to reach on foot. A pretty detour on a footpath across the fields makes a pleasant 20 minute walk to the village, off the paved road. Owners Kate and Steve are very welcoming, as is their little dog Djenko. I make regular visits to the Gower, as I love walking in the area, and this little cottage makes a perfect base. Thank you!

  • Loved our stay with Neil! Such a quirky location with stunning views. Neil made our stay feel like we’re old friends! He even taxied me about in the wettest storm ever!! What a guy. Thanks again Neil!!!

  • We loved our stay here, it had everything we needed for one night, and everywhere was within a close driving distance. The King Arthur Hotel and The Beach House at Oxwich Bay were both amazing places to eat out at. And being within such close driving distances of the beaches was great. I'm sure we will be back to visit the Gower again soon and would not hesitate to stay and also recommend Neil's place!

    Lynsey2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely annexe in the heart of the Gower. We saw wild ponies on the marshes as we drove down. Neil and Sally are so hospitable and kind, we really felt like welcomed guests. We had a lovely walk on nearby Oxwich Bay and Neil had plenty of recommendations for eateries etc. He also offered to drive us to our car in the morning if we’d wanted to have a few drinks. The space is clean and comfortable and has everything you need, including a spacious fridge, crockery and a sink for washing up (separate from bathroom). We will be returning, hopefully for longer next time. Thanks for a memorable weekend guys! 😊

  • Such a cosy and comfortable place to stay and a perfect (and quiet) location for exploring the Gower. Neil was really welcoming and we loved having the log burner on a cold evening. Would definitely recommend!

  • Great little spot from which to explore the Gower from. The wood burner does a really good job too. Communication and responsiveness was great. Parking is very easy. Scenic views as soon as you step outside. Definitely recommend for a short stay on the Gower Peninsula.

  • Great place to stay right on the estuary - very comfortable, everything you need, and very clean. Didn’t realise that there were no cooking facilities there, but made no difference really! The hosts were very friendly, we enjoyed a glass of wine in their lovely home, and they were more than happy to help us with taxi firms etc. Very comfortable bed, amazing log burner, plenty of hot water (much appreciated after a long day walking the incredible beaches of the Gower coast, and exploring the castle ruins). Highly recommend this little guest house. And definitely recommend a cwtch from Dot the dog! Thank you both!

    Louise2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Neil's place is great. Lovely and cosy, especially with the log burner. Immaculately clean. Communication was brilliant. Highly recommend.

  • We had a lovely 2 night stay at The Hollies. Laura was a great host and very accommodating. The apartment was clean and tidy and perfect for our needs. The location was amazing with the beach being over the dunes at the bottom of the garden. The Ship Inn at Port Eynon was a 15 min walk away and served good food. Would love to stay again at some point!

  • Just back from a great stay at The Hollies. Laura was a very relaxed and welcoming host. We spent our couple of days exploring the local area and had a brilliant time. We were pleasantly surprised by the proximity to an amazing beach. We had it all to ourselves one day! We brought our dog and she was also very welcome. I think we will return. Thanks Laura!

    Martin2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • The Hollies was a fantastic base to enjoy the beautiful coast of the Gower Peninsula. A stone's throw from the beach and a short coastal walk or wander down the lane to the village pub, fish and chips and delicious ice cream. Also easy to reach other beaches and attractions a short drive away. The apartment was spacious and well kept and the hosts gave us a warm and hearty welcome. Thanks again for a terrific weekend away.

  • Christine was a fantastic host and we'd highly recommend staying here. We came to the Gower for a wedding at Oldwalls and Christine's place was perfect - clean and homely, with beautiful views of the hills and a bus stop right outside to get back to Swansea station. Christine made a delicious cooked breakfast both mornings and was incredibly kind and helpful when our taxi for the wedding didn't arrive in time. Would love to come again to see more of the area!

  • Lovely clean, comfortable bungalow with everything we needed. The site is well kept and quiet with a nice heated pool, soft play and games room - great for families. Local shop was handy but a bit pricey! Excellent location with lots of beautiful beaches nearby as well as plenty of nice places to eat out. Marina was always easy to contact and replied quickly. There was a problem with the toilet which was resolved very quickly. Thanks for a great holiday!

  • You’ll receive a warm welcome to this clean, but small accommodation. We would have liked a dishwasher and washing machine, but there is a laundry room on site. If you are looking for value accommodation with no frills but with most things you need and that accepts dogs - this is great. We had a lovely stay in the Gower with this as our base. Marina is lovely and there is free use of the swimming pool on site.

    Helen2018-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great week at this holiday bungalow with a wonderful on site pub playing bingo twice a week and onsite swimming pool and pay to use tumble town soft play for little ones there is a laundrette and fish and chips and a local shop all very helpful and decent. Petrol station not to far up the road. Plenty of fab beaches and places to visit with the children a great stay for us thank you !!

  • Bungalow was spotless, spacious, comfortable. Site is peaceful at all times, great for relaxing. Close to 3 beaches, all within 5 to 15 minutes drive. (Port Eynon, Rhossili Bay & Oxwich Bay) All beds made up. Milk, tea, coffee and sugar all supplied so you can make a cuppa as soon as you arrive. Hand towel, and bath towel supplied. Marina the host is quick to respond to any questions before and during your stay. She met us at the Bungalow, showed us around and told us everything we needed to know like how to turn on the hot water and shower, etc. Highly recommended - hoping to stay again in the future.

The farmhouse which, was built in the 19th century stands in a walled garden , near the village of Rhossilli. The location is peaceful and idyllically rural. The farmhouse is a ten minute walk through unspoilt countryside to Mewslade Bay, one of the most picturesque and secluded beaches in Gower.
Lower Pitton Farmhouse offers outstanding self-catering accommodation. This spacious property has everything for a relaxing holiday in Gower. This booking is for a bedroom with two single beds. The room also has wardrobe. All bed linen and bath towels are provided. Guests should provide their own beach towels if needed. There is no kettle or tv in the room but these can be located in the shared part of the house as described further below. The farmhouse has 4 other bedrooms that are also on offer to rent and can be found as different listings on airbnb. I do not over fill the house and like a sensible number booked in to allow max comfort. I usually allow 3 rooms to be booked at any one time to allow each room to have there own private bathroom. THE SHARED PART OF THE HOUSE: The interior comprises of a large hallway, large utility room, kitchen with a table that can seat 16 people, two lounges one with open fire and the other with wood burner. That I can light if required. There is a lighting charge. There are three bathrooms each consisting of a toilet, a hand basins, two bathrooms have showers only one bathroom has a shower and a bath. There is a fully furnished kitchen that you can use but you must clean up after yourself and put everything away after use. There will be complimentary coffee, tea, milk and sugar. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the pans, crockery and cutlery you would expect. The electrical appliances include a cooker, toaster, kettle, microwave, dishwasher and 2 fridge freezers. There is also a washing machine if required but again there is a charge to use this. The kitchen and conservatory have Wi-Fi. There is central heating throughout the house and a space to store bikes, canoes, surfboards etc. The farmhouse is set in a beautiful large country garden with sun decking, BBQ area with an outdoor table and chairs. The upper garden is flat perfect for garden games such as boules, badminton and football or for just chilling and relaxing.
  • Yes I’d recommend Mark. He is honest about air bnb and the place was great. Also Wales is a beautiful country which should never go missed

  • Fantastic family run bed and breakfast, or Airbnb depending on how you book. The owners are a friendly and very welcoming. The location on the south west end of the Gower is ideal for accessing the coast as well as further in land. Its peaceful but not isolated. Phone signal can be hit and miss, but the farmhouse has WiFi. The farmhouse is warm and clean. The rooms are well appointed and the shared facilities are clean and tidy. Pleasingly, the water pressure in the shower is really good

    Eliot2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Mark is an exceptional host; he literally saved my friend and I by guessing where we might be in a torrential down pour and offering us a lift back. It could not have been more appreciated by us both! The farm house is lovely; there are several rooms and we shared with some other friendly guests which was good fun. It was great to be able to cook there too. It's a short walk down to a beautiful beach and the coast path and Mark gave us directions and tips. I'd definitely book here if you are coming up to the Gower, and we will certainly be back!

    Sarah2019-09-29T00:00:00Z

Three cliffs bay is another stunning walk through woodland following the river along the estuary to the sea. Parking is at the Shepherds general store and cafe in Parkmill. The beaches of Rhossili, Oxwich, Llangennith and Llanmadoc are all nearby. A must visit is the village of Mumbles with its wonderful ice cream parlours. You have to try the local Joe's ice-cream in Oystermouth which is next to Mumbles.
  • This place does what it says on the tin. We stayed there for 4 nights, which enabled us to spend the whole of Xmas with family in Port Eynon. Clean, tidy, good facilities in the house, good value and conveniently located.

  • Absolutely ideal for our weekend in the Gower. Friendly communications with Richard, easy to find and access via the key safe. Weather wasn’t in our side this time but not to worry as the heaters kept us toasty warm.

  • A very clean and well equipped cottage. I would recommend this accommodation to family and friends

  • This cottage is clean and well presented. It has everything you might need. We stayed here with our two children (3 years and 3 months) and our collie dog. We went off season at the end of September and the holiday village was lovely and quiet. The soft play is good and clean and the play park is ok for toddlers. We didn’t go swimming in the pool on site so can’t comment on that. The nearest beach Port Eynon is sandy and pretty and Rhossili only 10 minutes away is stunning. The weather wasn’t on our side but we still enjoyed our stay. The cottage has a bath and a shower. The shower is lovely and warm. The water for the bath stays hot enough for one bath and then probably needs to heat up again. There are lots of spare blankets. All the kitchen appliances work well and the kitchen has everything you need including cleaning products such as washing up liquid. The tv is easy to work and has cbeebies and normal channels. It was torrential rain one of the nights we were there and the kitchen and bathroom windows leaked. However, we mentioned to the owners and they are aware and the windows are being replaced soon. The owners were easy to communicate with replying promptly and let us know we could get into the cottage early too as it was ready for us. They left amazing touches too to make us feel welcome, a welcome message and some beverages in the fridge. Very thoughtful hosts. The beds were comfy. It was very easy to stay here and we would stay here again if we were to visit this part of Wales again.

  • Very nice place to spend time in this special place of nature. The amazing beaches make this area very desirable so it’s pricey. With small kids the ultimate joker is the free heated indoor pool and hot tub that is only a minute away. The pool is really warm and the hot tub is hot. So we spent every morning there and went to the beaches after lunch. The house is very roomy for it’s size. The kitchen is fully equipped and the beds are very comfortable. The fake fireplace makes it cozy and dry on rainy days. The kitchen window occasionally offers the view to rugby training or a game and sunshine when it’s out. As the location is at the almost end of the Gower peninsula it is not ideal to explore other parts of Wales as there are only backcountry roads leading to it. Getting to three cliffs bay alone takes 20 minutes. Swansea is 35 minutes away. But there is world famous Rhossili beach around the corner and the whole coastline is absolutely breathtaking and every day offers a different walk.

  • A beautifully presented little bungalow, spotlessly clean, well equipped, and in a great location for exploring the Gower. The kids loved the swimming and there were lots of other families on the site so they had other children to play with. Rich and Sue were perfect hosts - communicated really well and left little extra touches which were really appreciated. We had a lovely stay - thank you!

  • A lovely house, spotlessly clean and stylish. We had a great stay, the pool and soft play were really convenient, the area is stunning with some fabulous beaches just a short drive away. Comfy beds and everything we needed on hand.

A delightful stone cottage we call the Stable. The house was build in the 1700’s, just perched above the village green. Our holiday accommodation boasts spectacular estuary sea views. We are located just 100m from two dog friendly country pubs. Llanrhidian Marsh is part of the Welsh Coastal Path, ideal for walkers. Adjcent to our home is the local church. Our holiday accommodation is ideally positioned in Gower close to wedding venues and for holidaying by the seaside. NO EXTRA CLEANING CHARGES.
The Space. A small but unique country style two floor open plan self catering cottage, with a double ensuite bedroom. The lower floor has a living area with a kitchenette. Includes: (Portable oven, 2 stove cooking elements. A microwave, Tefal chip fryer. Plus a toaster, kettle and fridge.) We also provide complimentary tea, coffee and milk. Plus a cereal pack. Number of guests. The cottage is ideal for 2 guests but has a sofa bed option for a further 2 guests (£20 extra charge per guest over 2 persons. Extra bedding and towels will be provided.) N.B the ensuite shower & toilet is to be shared by all guests. There is a TV with DVD player. We have a selection of DVDs, plus a small library of books. There is an electric fireplace with steam effect flames. Parking. We try to keep a space free just outside our house. Although we do appreciate that 1 Space is kept free for our neighbour who drives a grey volvo. He parks near his house opposite. However it can be busy with weddings so if you are struggling to park then please let me know and I can arrange a space at the rear of our cottage to park. Dogs. Dogs are very welcome to stay free of charge. Max 2. Dogs are not to be left alone at the property. Guest privacy. We respect guests privacy and please make yourselves at home. Soon as you have your front door key you are free to come and go as you please. In the late summer evenings its lovely to sit outside on the garden furniture looking out at the estuary sea views. With a glass of your favourite tipple. All we ask in return is to consider the neighbours. If you require any further information and tips of local knowledge then please drop us a text on the airbnb app. Alternatively you can knock on our door. We are very friendly and we always enjoy meeting our guests.
Some people miss out on magical places because they head straight for the beaches and who can blame them. However Llanrhdian village has some amazing senary that attracts walkers from near and far. Weobley Castle is easy reachable from Llanrhdian, just a 30 to 40 minute walk along the Welsh Coastal Path. And finally not forgetting the Dolphin Inn beer garden, one of the best beers gardens on Gower.
  • This is the first time we stayed at this accommodation. We booked for one night with the intention to explore the local area. The accommodation was in an ideal location for exploring the local beaches and sights. It was around 10 minutes away from the Three Cliffs Bay and Whiteford Beach. The accommodation itself was easily big enough for two people and was exceptionally clean. The kitchen is small but well equipped. We went to The Welcome Inn (which was a stone throw away) for dinner. They served typical pub grub which was nice but a little pricey. Overall we had a lovely stay and wouldn’t hesitate to come back! Thank you!

  • Lovely Airbnb, would highly recommend. The cottage was spotlessly clean and really nicely decorated. Communication from the hosts was excellent as well.

  • Great place to stay.

    Ruth2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The stable was a perfect size for two in an ideal location and the fact you can take your dog was a massive factor in choosing this accommodation. The hosts provide thoughtful little touches like a highlighted map of things to see, cereals, proper coffee, milk and welsh cakes. It was super clean and everything clear and easy to use. Don't panic when you can't see a hob or oven as these are portable to use if you want to cook, however there are two great pubs within an easy walk which are dog friendly too so eating out is an easy option.

  • A sparkling clean and well designed little cottage with a nice garden space which would be nice in the summer! We did miss not having an oven, but would cater with that in mind next time!

  • Great hosts! Had everything we needed and accommodation was beautiful and spotlessly clean. Easy instructions and good communications. Beautiful village. Look forward to visiting again. Would recommend this place

  • Very clean & cosy space with everything you need for a short stay. Although the living area is small, it’s perfect for 2 adults. Gareth was very quick to respond to any questions too. Thanks for a great stay!
