  • Staying in John’s treehouse was such a magical experience. The bed was comfy, the view was gorgeous and living among the trees, tropical and plants was healing. I finally slowed down and got some rest! But not that much because there were so many fun things to do that John, Julie and staff made possible. Yoga, snorkel gear, paddle boards and surf boards are all made available to you here. Everyone at these tree houses was so kind and made me feel very welcomed but also gave me space to really unplug. It was transformative for me and I will definitely be back. So grateful!

  • Such a beautiful space and John was so kind and knowledgeable of the area. Would definitely come back to stay in this beautiful place. Would also 100% recommend looking through the guestbook, it gave us a lot of insight on places to visit while we were here:) thank you John!

  • What a fantastic location! Set up high in the treetops with a beautiful view down over the ocean. Our family really enjoyed our couple of days here - it just wasn’t long enough! The kids loved using the paddle board in the crystal clear water at Sunset Beach (which is only a 5 minute walk away). Thanks John - it’s a wonderful place you have!

  • Staying at the jungle treehouse is such a healing & magical experience!! The property is very private with views of the ocean.. And all you can hear are the jungle sounds! The treehouse itself is clean, spacious & very comfortable (especially the bed & pillows) with a stunning outdoor deck. The beach is a short walk away & there are also food trucks close by for yummy fresh healthy food. Especially grateful for the host - John helped take my suitcase up & down the steps (there are 80 steps to the treehouse).. And even drove me to the airport since I had a very early international flight (there aren't any Uber or Lyft drivers available in the area early in the morning). Definitely an amazing experience which I'll never forget :) If you want something unique & soothing for the soul then definitely stay at the treehouse :)

  • This place is just UNBELIEVABLE. Seriously so indescribably beautiful. We actually decided to sleep on the daybed because the view was just unbelievable. All the appliances were brand new an everything was really really nice. There was a big binder with things to know and info about their farm! I wish we would have had time to visit! Anyway, best experience and best way to end our trip after we got married on the island a few days earlier. Thank you so much!

  • Mele’s home was incredible! You can’t beat the location, and the lanai out back is what dreams are made of :) Mele was quick with responses and answered all of our questions. I can’t recommend this place enough!

    Lizzie2019-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location on the pipeline! Oldskool beach house vibe. Surf was pumping during our stay and it was great to watch the surfers from the living room. Was too rough for swimming, though swimming spots exist further up and down the beach. Convenient location for food trucks and other amenities! We enjoyed our stay muchly.

    Matt2019-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Mele’s place on sunset beach/ banzai pipeline was a truly amazing experience. The little green bungalow sits right on the beach, which was basically a private beach the couple days we stayed there. Swimming in the ocean right out front was great, we even got to swim alongside some sea turtles! The location on the North Shore was awesome- food options and shops a quick drive in either direction. The house is exactly as shown and described, and even better in person. Woke up and fell asleep to the sound of the ocean. At times it got a little hot, but we opened up the windows and turned on a fan or two and that mostly did the trick. If this place is available- don’t wait to book! We definitely hope to come back. Also pay a visit to their farm across the street for fresh veggies and fruits! Thanks Mele and pipeline house! Mahalo :)

    Kelsey2019-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • I will start out by saying this place was Amazing! The location just can’t be beat as we could have just spent the whole 2 weeks sitting on the back deck watching the surfers. If you are looking for that beach cottage feel this is your place. The host Meleana and her Father were so friendly and really just wanted you to have an enjoyable experience but also really let you have a private time which was amazing. I was a huge fan of Teds bakery that is a 2 min drive down the street and also the food trucks at sharks cove (the açaí bowl from the pizza truck is a must). Do yourself a favor and use the outdoor shower as there is nothing like looking out over the beach each morning as you freshen up. The sound of the waves at night was so soothing! I can’t wait to go back

    Chris2019-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Melana's rental was so much better than we even expected. The location could not be any better, and waking up to the sound of the waves was nothing short of amazing. Wish we could have stayed longer!

    Janelle2019-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This oceanfront bungalow was charming with amazing views of the ocean! It's situated right in front of Off the Wall, which is basically Pipeline. The windows that pan the entire width of the house, and the central sliding doors allowed us to be fully immersed in paradise. The whole family slept in the main room so we could wake to the surf every day, and since we were on East Coast time, we were up in plenty of time before the sunrise. Pack and play, high chair, sand toys, beach chairs, and snorkel gear were provided, allowing ease of travel with our kids. There was a minor issue with the bathroom which Meleana addressed and resolved immediately. We unfortunately arrived during a rare cold front and storm, which resulted in no sun, therefore, no hot water for about a day. However, the sun was out intermittently on our second day, and we were able to obtain hot water for the remainder of our stay, despite the on and off rain throughout. When the surf was finally good, my husband enjoyed the ease of paddling out right at our doorstep, and we both enjoyed watching everyone surfing. We would definitely love to come back here!

    Erin2019-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Had an incredible north shore experience at Meleana’s. Both her and her friend Stacey, helped make our stay cozy with great responsiveness and recommendations. We came for the Pipe Pro, but it was sadly delayed due to cray winds and weather. We still caught plenty of brave surfers and wild weather, interspersed with beautiful sunny periods and rainbows. The house isn’t close to the beach, it’s ON the beach, in front of Pipeline. If you’re a surfer or enthusiast, there’s no better place to be. The house is classic Hawaiian & has been in Meleana’s fam for some time - the real deal. More cabin than house, you’re one with nature & all it entails (sand at your doorstep, buggies, etc). We had a visit from a delightful gecko we named Gordie, who was bright green, & helped with the buggies. The kitchen has a solid fridge and stove, but not tons of pots and pans, but enough for us to cook all our dinners, in addition to the grill outside (went to the food trucks in Haleiwa for lunches). Speaking of food, got our meat & fish from VJ’s butcher block, where their super friendly staff cut us some fresh ahi directly off the whole fish that was delivered that day from Waimea Bay. THAT’s fresh! Also, Meleana is embedded in the community here, so by staying here, you support a multi-generational family here - a true local. She has a farm across the street, where we picked up amazing produce, and they also offer yoga and chances to volunteer on the farm. There’s also a passion fruit tree in front of the house (thanks Bodhi!) - if you’ve never tried one off the tree, you’re in for a treat. Thanks Meleana, Stacey, India, and Bodhi for a true north shore experience!

This is such a great neighborhood. It is quiet, and safe. The neighbors are all wonderful and helpful. And we have one of the most beautiful beaches, that's not crowded, just about 650 feet from the property.
  • Great value. We were able to get six people in the Airbnb and stay for pretty cheap. Very close to lots of beaches with opportunities to walk on the beach and a pretty short drive to the town.

  • We spent a little more than a month in Rainey's space (my husband, my 3 year old son and myself) and everything went very well. The location is very good, with access to the beach, close to the gas station and Ted's Bakery - a snack bar / bakery. The studio is very compact, but very functional. Well equipped with kitchen utensils. We had a lot of concern with our son when using the stairs because it is very steep and without child safety on the side, but Rainey had already warned me at the time of booking and everything went well during the stay. There is no space to store clothes or bags, so we ended up using the space under the stairs for this, but I confess that we hit our heads numerous times on the stairs and that was uncomfortable. Cleanliness was not the strong point of our experience. We expected to find the space a little cleaner. But nothing we can't do ourselves, considering that the space is compact and easy to clean. Rainey is an excellent host and very welcoming whenever we contact her. We hope to be back soon. We had a wonderful time in that space. Mahalo, Rainey!

  • Nice location Very handy to the north Shore

    Linda2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • It was really good stay. Very close to beautiful beaches at North shore area. Our main purpose of visit Hawaii is surfing and chilling, so this place was awesome! We could feel the local life.

  • Great location while traveling in the North Shore. The place is as described. Helpful and detailed directions. Quick response from Rainey. Lots of fans and windows make up for the lack of A/C.

    Trinh2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Rainey's place. Communication and check in were super easy. The location was great - just a few minutes walk to the beach access and about 4 blocks from the start of the bike lane that takes you all they way down to Waimea. There is still enough space along the main road to walk or ride a bike and feel comfortable. The cottage worked perfectly for us and had all the basic amenities we needed. We loved having a place to sit out on the deck and that beach towels were provided. The sleeping loft is the only place where the ceilings are a bit lower, I'm 5'5" and managed okay, you just have to be aware! We didn't mind as we didn't spend that much time up there but did love being able to see the ocean from bed. We didn't have any issues with the spiral staircase, again just be mindful going up and coming down! It was great coming back to a quiet neighborhood each night and would definitely recommend!

    Courtney2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great location close to all the best North Shore surf spots! Stylish space with two beds in the loft. Easy check-in and fast communication from host. Thank you, Rainey!

  • AMAZING !!! We absolutely loved our stay with Melissa and Scott. They were super responsive and gave us a ton of recommendations on a number of thing to do and see in Oahu. A good location, not a far drive to Haleiwa which is such a cool little surf town. Super private, great space. If you’re looking for something less touristy this is totally the place to go! We didn’t want to leave!

  • Great experience! Close to Haleiwa and the North Shore. Fun Camping experience with the comforts of a bed and hot water. Highly recommend

    Travis2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful stay! The flock of peacocks we were able to view were AMAZING, and other bird and wildlife sightings were fantastic! A lovely place and true respite from the busy and more tourist spots we had been previously-also, love that the hosts are eco-focused! Sourcing materials from re-use stores and fixing up rather that buying new is such a thoughtful way to do well for the planet! Kudos, it was delightful!!!

    Manda2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Everything I needed and nothing I didn't. The tent was just as advertised, and far enough away to be deeply quiet but an easy enough drive into Hale'iwa to not be bothered by the commute. Hosts were great and sent wonderful advice on local beaches, hikes and restaurants. Really enjoyed my stay!

  • Cab was an amazing host! His place is set in a great location with lots of space in the kitchen, living room, deck area and overall is super zen! I enjoyed my conversations with him and all the things I learned! His tips for the island were fantastic! I enjoyed all the fruit and yummy breakfast that he provided. It was sooooo delicious! I hope to stay there again in the future!

  • If you're looking for a resort or a hotel in the city, this isn't your place. After spending weeks in Honolulu, it was absolutely refreshing to get away from town. We were serenaded to sleep by crickets and bullfrogs from the river while we watched geckos chase bugs on the outside of the windows. Not a single car horn or siren any traffic noise to be heard. Instead, just sounds from the country and a brilliant starry sky. Cab is an exceptional host. You'll like it here.

    Richard2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Such a unique and special place! If you don’t mind embracing some bugs and geckos, there’s nothing like waking up here. The treehouse has unreal views of the ocean, the property and yoga deck onsite is gorgeous and the beach is only a short walk down the hill. I’ll be back!

    Laura2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience and beautiful view! No hot water for showers at all. Host very helpful when asked about any local suggestions for activities. Everyone on the property was friendly!

  • This property is a place that touches your soul! Every view is breathtaking from the water to his property filled with lush greenery.

    Tara2019-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect place to stay for your north shore experience of food trucks and beach hopping. Then tucking yourself away in a treehouse to watch the sunset sipping your fav bevy overlooking sunset beach, falling asleep to the sound of waves and waking to the most spectacular view of ocean and jungle. The perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle. A unique experience that I’m sure you will never forget!

    Hannah2019-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • The tree house is amazing! The location is great for exploring the north shore whether driving along the coast or walking down to sunset beach. ‘Sunrise Shack’ is also about 5 min walk which is a great place to grab a coffee or snack. The use of bikes and boards is great and saves a lot of money on rental costs. We used the bikes to cycle along the north shore and went paddleboarding at sunset beach. Unfortunately we didn’t have any swell during our stay but would sometimes put a soft top in the car in case anything came in but there are boards for all levels for guests to use which is such a perk. Everyone is so friendly and offers great advice on where to go. We even had fresh bananas delivered to our porch!

    Thomas2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best places I have ever stayed. You can hear the waves crashing and see for miles from the treehouse. The property is beautiful and unique. I didn’t want to leave.

  • Excellent location for "glamping" on the North shore of Oahu.

    Kris2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place is beautiful and the hobbit hut is exactly what you need as a home base for your trip to north shore. The property, kitchen and yoga deck are nice places to relax. Be sure to take the yoga class looking out over the lush mountainside vegetation. Shower with hot water, nice bathroom with composting toilet, and the fan was appreciated for cooling off at night.

    John2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a unique experience. I definitely recommend it if you're open to an experience of this kind. Location is excellent. Very close to beaches and local restaurants. Come prepared with effective bug spray. Wi-Fi only really worked in the common area. We were prepared to be off the grid, so it was not an issue for us.

  • Great place with awesome hosts. It’s my 3rd visit to the island and I can say this place was what I have been looking, peaceful and with great experiences; outdoor shower, searching some eggs in the morning, collecting fresh fruits and avocado and the deck with an amazing view of the valley is just a perfect place to chill after a busy day in the beach.

  • Nic's place is nicely appointed and right at the beach - a great place for hanging out! We stayed for 1 week and did day hikes from there. Many nice restaurants and food trucks are within walking distance. The balcony for breakfast is a winner! Nic is always fast to respond to any questions. Snorkelling gear, beach chairs and body boards added a nice touch. It was the perfect hub for us - a quiet location close to many attractions and beaches - thank you for having us!

  • Nic's place was very clean and nicely decorated. The rooms had a good amount of open space and comfortable furniture, including the bed. We spent 10 nights in Hawaii staying at various places and the matress at Nic's was the best of our trip and a relief near the end of our vacation. The porch had a table and two chairs with a cute plant centerpiece and some beach equipment to use down at the sand. You could see the ocean from the balcony being only a quick walk away from the building. Excellent location in Hale'iwa!

So either way, you can get away from it all or be in Honolulu within a quick 45 minute driving. It really is the perfect vacation destination!
  • This is a lovely place if you are looking for a good base to explore the North Shore. The unit was clean and comfortable and Betsy was kind enough to show us around when we arrived. The highlight of this rental is the beautiful beach which is just a short walk through the back field and the perfect quiet spot to relax or enjoy a sunset picnic or cocktail – almost like having your own private beach. We also appreciated that the unit included beach chairs, towels and even a cooler. For anyone looking to stay on the North Shore it is important to know that it is a pretty sleepy place, so if you are looking for nightlife – this isn’t the area for you. While Haleiwa has a nice little downtown strip with restaurants and food trucks, you’ll find very few things open after 8pm or so. But if you prefer a quieter location with access to the Northern beaches this is a great spot and we’d highly recommend this rental.

    Jessie2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Good located on the north shore. Quiet but walkable to various restaurants. 7/11 not to far. Convenient parking right in front of the house. We liked the studio and slept well.

  • This was a great place in Haleiwa. Only a few steps to the beach. Tip: don’t try to pack too much in your north shore itinerary and chill at this beach for awhile. We were swimming with turtles! 10 minute walk into town. Big kitchen. All the utensils you need. No air con but we didn’t need it. Heaps of fans. Super clean. Great bed. Great selection of TV viewing. Netflix, Hulu etc. There’s even free hiring of life jackets, snorkel gear, beach chairs, coolers etc. thanks Susan for accomodating us with our early arrival! It was a great stay!

This is an artistic community environment shared with my personal home & fellow travelers/artists right on top of Haleiwa town, surfing, shopping, good restaurants, skydiving paddle-boarding, and beautiful sight seeing. 50 feet from the bus stop for easy traveling, and in walking distance from town and beaches. It is not uncommon for groups to get together and have have bonfires on the beach, house BBQ s, movies, hikes, adventures. Create positive memories for a magical lifetime here.
Cozy, Homey, Comfortable, this is what comes to mind in my place :) My guests all say it feels like home here and they have fun socializing, watching movies, painting, cooking, etc. This is not like what comes to mind when one thinks of a shared environment or "hostel", rather, it is simply my home I share with wonderful people from all walks of life! Prepare for three cats on the property, in case of allergies.
Our neighborhood is in the cul-de-sac of a residential area right on the cusp of Haleiwa town. The residents of the area are mostly local families living in their ancestral home, and while they are friendly, they usually prefer to be left alone :) one side of the house is a large traffic circle called "Weed Circle" which is how you get to Haleiwa and the other side is the neighborhood cul-de-sac. The area is usually quiet and peaceful, with occasional family gatherings and luaus.
  • Uncle Blake’s place was amazing! I would recommend for anyone looking for an authentic Oahu experience.

    Payson2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Only was there for a short amount of time but it was exactly what I needed gave me a chance to see the north side of the island. Was a great place to meet other travelers as I was traveling solo wish I would’ve booked it for a few more nights and had a chance to connect with them a little more but now I know for next time. Had 4 people sleeping in two bunk beds in the room I was assigned was a little awkward as I stayed out late Friday and didn’t want to disturb the other guests as I came back late but everybody was chill and did their own thing and just used the place as a home base which was cool. Bring towels and other things you might need did not provide much besides the actual house with a place to sleep, a kitchen and bathrooms but worked good for me just needing a place to sleep for the night didn’t need all the amenities of a house as I was just trying to do as much as I could while I was there wasn’t too picky on the place I was staying. Others were staying for an extended amount of time and seemed to fit right into things.

  • Uncle Blake's was great! Very chill house that felt like a different universe from the terrible hostel that I stayed in near Waikiki. Thanks for the turtle bay tip! If anyone is allergic to cats, they have a couple, and they are a tad smelly, but that's the only negative. Other than that, this place is super rad.

The loft apartment is located on Oahu’s North Shore on the outskirts of Haleiwa town, in Waialua, inside a family oriented neighborhood. Tucked inside a culdasac, hidden from the streets view, driveway parking leads to a private lani entrance with self check in. Inside the apartment are vaulted ceilings with natural light and breezes and is decorated with serene costal color pallet, creating an open space. In the loft, beds are nestled out of view and provide a quiet, private retreat.
The home has been recently built and is well maintained. The apartment is extremely clean. All towels and bedding are white and steam sanitized between guests. All mattresses and pillows are protected in vinyl encasements and sanitized between guests. The bathroom and kitchen are also white and thoroughly cleaned between guests. The carpet in the loft is less than one year old and is steam cleaned regularly. The netting above the bed is decorative, this is a bug free home. Guests can feel good about the environmental footprint that they leave behind. Power is generated by rooftop solar panels. The house is cooled by energy efficient ceiling fans and solar powered attic vents. There is also an air conditioner for the guests to use. Water is heated using a hydro-thermal water heater and water is conserved using dual flush toilets. Through out the home are led lights controlled by dimmer switches. The flooring is made of cork, a sustainable material. There is also 220 volt electrical vehicle charger available upon request. This apartment is part of a 3 unit home. The home has soundproof insulation and cork flooring, to ensure privacy.
Located in a quiet residential neighborhood that is comprised of working class multigenerational families. This neighborhood has extremely low crime rates and is safe for children

Night lights were helpful for climbing up/down stairs at night. Would love to stay longer than a night next time!

  • Could not recommend this place more! Great base to explore the North Shore from. Family-friendly, safe neighbourhood. Ellen and Mike were fantastic hosts, easy to communicate with and readily available if we needed assistance with anything. We especially enjoyed the access to netflix and daily cuddles with the cats. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

    Michael2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Ellen’s place was perfect for our stay in the north shore. Just a quick drive to the main highway for shopping, food and the beach. The space is super efficient with space, and the lofted bedroom is very cute. Just make sure you’re awake to climb down the ladder in the middle of the night to use the restroom. The loft has a lower ceiling, so might not be great for tall people, but we had no issues. The space has everything you need, and loved that there was a parking spot as well. We got to meet Ellen for a brief minute, and she was very nice and a accommodating. Great value and would stay again!

  • Good experience

    Julian2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • The room we stayed in was clean and has a private half bath so you only have to use the shared bathrooms to shower. The bed was pretty small and at night the roosters in the area were pretty noisy so bring earplugs!! The team and other guests were really nice and helpful when we had any questions and our host Sean even took us surfing on a secluded beach one day. All in all a great place to stay for a couple of nights especially for the price, if you don’t mind being around other people.

  • An outstanding experience with welcoming hospitality and north shore lifestyle. The stay cultivates new friendships and journeys, as many from different backgrounds gather around the same love for adventure and exploration. I had everything I needed and more to partake in any activity I desired, as the home was well anticipated for guests as well as Blake allowing use of his personal belongings. (I used his gi for jiu jitsu!) I made many likewise friends and was inspired by the innovative and free spirited energy of the house. I’m certain to return again. Highly recommend!!!!!! :)

The Mango Bungalow at Anahulu Farms is just a 5 min walk to Haleiwa beach and historic Haleiwa town. You'll have your own private screened bungalow surrounded by palms and fruit trees on a two acre organic farm (note the bathrooms are shared and in a separate building). We are sorry but we can no longer offer short term rentals. Please contract us about special deals for 30 day or more bookings.
The Mango Cabin at Anahulu Farms is just a 5 min walk to Haleiwa beach and historic Haleiwa town. Your own private screened bungalow surrounded by palms and fruit trees on a two acre organic farm. This cabin has one double bed and a kitchenette with sink, mini fridge, hotplate and microwave. Shared bathroom and shower are just down the garden path as is a communal washer and dryer.
Situated at the edge of the little town of Haleiwa, the gateway to Oahu's North Shore, we have both breathtaking beaches and quaint small town charm at the end of our road. Turn right on Kamehameha ‘Highway’ (a small two lane road at this point) and at you are at Haleiwa Beach Park, where the water is calm and ideal for a relaxed swim or paddle. There you can find local families enjoying the ocean and surf instructors renting boards and teaching surfers of all ages. A short walk along the shore leads past “Puaene’s”, a favorite surf break for novices and surf veterans alike, through Puaena Point Beach Park and on to an amazing stretch of nearly deserted beach that goes on for miles. If you turn left on Kamehameha and you’ll find shops selling surf boards, bathing suits and shave ice and a short stroll over the historic bridge takes leads to more surf shops, clothing boutiques, restaurants, a coffee shop, a post office, a bank, a grocery store, a health food store, a hardware store and of course more shave ice. Take a right after the bridge and you are at Haleiwa Boat Harbor where local captains offer fishing charters and shark tours. Drive or catch a bus in either direction and you’ll discover more of Oahu’s incredible beaches and world famous surf breaks like Wiamea Bay, Sunset and Pipeline.
  • This is a super deal if you enjoy fun and quaint places! Very natural and clean!

  • Lovely spot in farm orchard near town and beach. Simple cabin with all you need. We enjoyed waking up to the trees and chooks.

    Eileen2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • The space is as advertised; if you are comfortable with a few critters you'll really enjoy it! It is a beautiful oasis within a very short walk to the beach, restaurants, and boutiques. We were able to get there easily using public transit.

    Monica2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at this cute and cozy bungalow! It is a small and simple space, essentially a plywood structure with screen windows , but it was an amazing place to unwind for a few days and feel totally “off the grid” while still being close to the shops, restaurants, and beaches of Hale’iwa. The bathroom situation is a little unusual- the toilet and shower are located in a separate structure a short walk away- but we had this bathroom to ourselves for our stay and it was very clean. Lastly, we enjoyed watching the antics of the chickens and cats that roam the property.

    Margaret2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lori and Tunji’s place was so relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Truly a tropical paradise. Such a great location - walking distance from the town and beach. We would definitely stay again. Thanks for having us

    Justine2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lori and Tunji’s place was an escape from the city. We loved the hammock and the location. Lori and Tunji are careful to respect the guests’ privacy but are extremely friendly when you need something. They offered us delicious fruits upon arrival which we enjoyed each morning of our stay. It was very much like camping and we welcomed the more rustic experience to our trip.

    Caitlin2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had an incredible stay here, and hope to come back! Sharing the fruit from their garden was a nice touch (the star fruit was especially tasty!), the property is gorgeous, and the bungalow is charmingly rustic. The location strikes the perfect balance of seclusion and proximity to the main area of Haleiwa. Don’t miss out! Stay here!

Aloha, private studio, with private kitchen and bathroom, located in Haleiwa town. The studio is within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and world famous surf breaks. It comfortably fits two and is centrally located on the north shore. Enjoy the wonderful breeze and breathtaking views!
Our property is tucked away on a side street off the town of Haleiwa. The private studio is located on the first floor of a two story home. Turtle beach, Pipeline and Kaena Point are only a short drive away. While the north shore offers beautiful beaches and world class surf, you may want to explore the island. Our property is seated just at the beginning of the town, so there is quick access to the highway. Waikiki, Diamond Head and Pearl harbor are all within an hours drive.
Paalaa in Hawaiian means a priestly wind or breeze. And that is just what our guests will experience during their stay. Paalaa road is a quiet street lined with giant monkey pod trees that provide wonderful shade for your walk into town.
  • Hands down best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in! Best vibes, awesome location, all around 10/10!

    Mark2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location to explore Haleiwa and rest of North Shire. Studio is great for a couple and has everything you need. Chris & Sarah live in the adjacent property and always quick to respond.

  • Lovely place and owners. The hospitality is great. You have everything you need.

    Maarten2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, centrally-located place in Hale'iwa, check out Sarah's place! We stayed a week and could not have been more pleased. The space was immaculate, with everything we needed to do our own cooking, and the price was more than fair. The fans were appreciated, especially for white noise for the roosters. What a great experience!!

    Stacy2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place with perfect hosts. We stayed 8 nights in Jan 20. The studio is more than great - we felt home right away after checkin. Hale‘iwa became one of our favorite spots and when we come back (which is already in planning) we will definitely try to rent the studio again. Further benefits you have with the booking is complementary beach towels & chairs, boogie boards, snorkeling equipment, surfboards, and free laundry. Superb! Thanks Sarah&Chris

    Chris2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah’s place was perfect for us to explore the north shore. Nearby amazing food trucks and great surfing beaches. She let us borrow a cooler & a beach chair one day. Fans kept us cool at night, no AC needed. Roosters (as in parts of most of the islands) give you an early AM wake up call.

    Kelly2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • The place was just perfect for our family. Sarah and her family were all amazing, kind and helpful, the place was clean and lovely, I had a very homey feel. Plus we had everything we needed and more. If future brings us back to Hawaii we would definitely go back to Sarah’s.

    Danaja2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah’s place was perfect for my boyfriend and I during our short stay in Haleiwa. Just as described, smaller but we didn’t need much. As mentioned, no AC but plenty of fans to keep you cool in the night. Location was close to all in Haleiwa and we loved the mother-in-law type of studio, made us feel a little more welcome seeing Sarah’s family running around and being within a neighborhood. A great place for a great price, definitely recommend and hope we can return sometime!

Coronavirus update: we're taking this threat very seriously & have changed some things to help us all stay safe. Every non essential item has been removed or put away for the time being. We're doing deep cleanings between each guest as well as letting the unit air out for a day & putting pillows out in the sun (weather permitting). You'll find cleaning supplies in the unit & I recommend washing dishes, cups & pots before using them. All towels, linens, quilts & blankets are fresh clean.
We would love to welcome you to our home, where we made a cozy loft studio that is perfect for couples. The studio is perfectly located at the entrance of Hale'iwa town in walking distance to the town's center and 10 min from the nearest freeway. From here you can easily visit historical sites, gorgeous beaches, fun hikes and lots of local activities. The studio is not suitable for elderly people, young children, or those who are mobility challenged because you'll have to climb up to the loft. The studio has a bathroom and kitchenette with full size refrigerator, mini oven, microwave oven, induction burner, coffee maker, toaster, slow cooker and blender. There's a queen bed on the loft with a small fan to help circulate the cold A/C air. There's a futon in the living room area and although it could accommodate a third guest we feel the studio is better suited for 2. Smart TV with Netflix, HBO, Prime, Starz, and SlingTV; DVD player, hair dryer, hair straightener and beach chairs, cooler, boogie boards, snorkels, beer koozies and ice packs are also available to our guests. The studio has everything you could possibly need such as Tupperware, zip lock bags, shopping bags, hangers, moisturizer, sun tan lotion, etc just like a normal house. Instant pot available upon request. We have 2 small children and because our house and the studio share a wall, we have installed a sound studio quality acoustic barrier in between the two places. However, the children also play in the yard as well as in the porch and you will probably hear them play throughout the day if you're around during their play time.
Our house is in a quiet neighborhood right at the entrance of town. There's a bike path right in front of us that can take you as far as Mokuleia beach. We're 10 minutes from Waimea Bay and 45 minutes from the Honolulu airport.

Surf where the Pro’s surf! But if surfing isn’t quite up your alley, you can always try kayaking, jet skiing, stand-up paddle boarding, snorkeling, diving, sailing, kite surfing, whale watching (in season) OR horseback riding, hiking, sky diving, shark cage diving, zip lining, ATVing, OR just picnic and sun bathe! Historic, picturesque Haleiwa Town is home to brightly colored boutiques, galleries, surf shops, restaurants, and more recently, some of the best “food truck fare” anywhere! All this and more...just a two minute drive from our guest house! Drive a little further “up the road” and be astounded by the pristine coastline. Visit beautiful Waimea Bay, hike Waimea Valley, swim under a spectacular waterfall, check out Sharks Cove, be mesmerized by the waves at Banzai Pipeline, and enjoy one of the most spectacular sunsets anywhere at famous Sunset Beach. If you decide to leave the intoxicating North Shore, it’s about an hour drive to the hustle and bustle of famous Waikiki. But before you go, make it a point to visit the Polynesian Cultural Center for a one of the best luau dinners and spectacular shows on the Island. And an afternoon at the Dole Plantation is a must...if only for the mouth watering pineapple ice cream!

  • Dan and Bailey were so awesome! I couldn’t have asked for better hospitality. Being 19 and traveling alone, it was exactly what I needed to feel safe and get the experience I wanted!

    Braiden2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our second time staying with Bailey and Dan was even better than the first - and this time with our new baby. As if their place wasn’t super enough on its own (with everything you could need whether you’re traveling solo or with your small family. Pack-n-Play for the win) they knock it out of the park by being the most helpful and personable hosts we’ve stayed with. You can count on feeling at home and having a good time on the North Shore with Bailey and Dan.

    Dillon2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great place if you want peace and quiet and a place out of the way. Walking distance is farther than you might assume so make sure you're comfortable walking 30 minutes to the beach. Clean place, although a little dated. Overall as expected and great hosts! (Even though we never actually met)

    Tristan2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent access to the main street leading to the beach in Haleiwa! I enjoyed the atmosphere of the North Shore. The host's couple was very kind and helpful, and I was able to spend it comfortably and with peace of mind. Easy to access to the way to Haleiwa beaches! We really enjoyed the atomosphere in the north shore area. The room was cozy and comfortable, also Dan and Bailey were so helpful and nice.

  • We truly enjoyed our stay! My husband and I especially loved the location, the country feel, the comfortable bed (got some of my best sleep in years here) and the shower! Dan and Bailey made us feel so welcome the entire stay and were always super quick responding to everything I sent them! We are so happy we found your place! :) Thank you so much guys!

The host and family were so kind to us. We will definitely be back to stay in the very near future!

Vacation in a Bus! The Bus is a just-renovated, mostly self contained tiny-home. TV, air conditioning, and WiFi to keep you comfortable and entertained. The Bus is situated on a lush hillside, surrounded by many of Hawaii's beautiful plants and fruit trees. And only a 3-4 minute walk to the beach! The Bus is shared with the house on the property (other guests stay in the house). The house is a short walk from the bus (100') and inside is where you'll find the bathroom/shower and full kitchen.
The Bus itself has a very comfortable brand new queen sized mattress. The full sized couch folds down into a bed to sleep an additional person. There is a counter area with a coffee machine and microwave, along with some kitchen basics. There is a TV, air conditioner, and a mini fridge in the bus as well. There is a router with high speed internet in the bus. There is also a kitchen table with seating in the front. ***The Bus does not run***
  • Such a cool little place to stay. We were very impressed with how it was designed. There’s AC, wifi, mini fridge, TV, and the house is very close if you need to use the bathroom. Definitely a place to remember!

    Jade2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing spot! The bus is tucked away in a field that feels so private but has a tiny ocean view and you can hear the waves. The space is even more stylish and comfortable than the photos show. It’s a short walk to a great surfers beach! I briefly met Gary and he was very friendly and sharing the kitchen and bathroom with the other Airbnb house was easy. Such a cool experience!

    India2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • The bus was extremely charming as described. Cute decor. Comfortable bed. Quiet. Dark night sky for star gazing. Amazing screened windows. Felt very private. I loved the door, steering wheel and painted pedals. Wonderful experience.

  • This was the best value to stay in Hawaii and such a unique experience! I could not get enough of the sound of ocean waves from the bed, there are even ocean views from the bus!! Word to the wise—this is much more glam-camping than hotel/apt living. The bus is very much a part of the landscape of the yard. We loved hearing the birds each morning and feeling the fresh air through all the windows... but the rain and bugs in Hawaii are no joke! I would consider the weather/season before committing to this space of you are particular. 😄😋 The bathroom situation was easy for us but I highly recommend a flashlight at night! The house feels like a hostel, the rooms are rented individually with many guests coming and going, you don’t feel like you’re intruding on a single family’s home, etc. We would stay again in a heartbeat!! A very special experience on a great part of the island. Thanks for the awesome experience!

    Liza2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is where you want to stay when you come to Hawaii! It’s so nice and super quiet. The bus is awesome too, some nice touches here and there. We loved it! Thank you for letting us stay at your place!

Located in historic Haleiwa Town down the road from Ali'i Beach, home to the Triple Crown of surfing. The flat includes: a full size kitchen with refrigerator, stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, rice cooker, blender and garbage disposal. There is a charcoal barbeque on the front ocean-facing lanai. Each room features a ceiling fan and the bedrooms both have queen size beds. For additional sleeping, there is also a queen Aero Bed. There are so many awesome things to do on the North Shore! Waimea Valley is just breath taking with all it's flora and historical significance . . . hiking the valley is a treat! The bay is just as amazing with it's turquoise blue waters in summer and giant swells during the winter. Green Sea Turtles love our beach and can be seen and swam with all day long. Furthermore, to take a shark tour is an unforgetable experience!

  • This was such a special place with a fantastic location. The abundance of fans provided made the lack of A/C a non-issue (I was hesitant about this, but once we got the fans set up the cool night air was fabulous). We enjoyed Haleiwa so much, especially in the mornings before the day trip folks joined us. Thanks for a great time!

  • Great bungalow for a low key stay in the North Shore. Beach and shops are in walking distance. Front guest is helpful and friendly. This was so much more comfortable than a stay in a busy, cramped, over priced and tourist trap hotel.

    Jim2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for the price. I would stay here again. Location was great, nice to get out of the big city. The hospitality of the front house was exceptional!!!

  • Kevin’s place is great for a quick trip to the North Shore. It’s walking distance to the beach as well as the cute commercial center of haleiwa. His main house tenant is super helpful and unbelievably kind. A few things to keep in mind are (1) there isn’t a full kitchen which for short term stays isn’t a big deal but I would imagine someone staying for a long time may be challenging; (2) as made it clear by host and previous guests, the shower is outdoors which some guests may not feel comfortable with. Showering when windy was a bit tricky. Other than that, even when showering at night, the hot water kept us warm while in the shower. (3) Also, I had already read on reviews how the main screen door lock was broken (unable to lock from outside). While this wasn’t an issue for me as the outside gate has a lock as well as the bedroom door; I understand it may be an issue for other guests. Just one last comment - This is Hawaii - There are chickens and roosters everywhere - that’s just the way it is. There were also cute cats roaming outside (they won’t bother you- they mind their own business). My mom and I enjoyed our stay and recommend Kevin’s place!

  • The place is well located in Haleiwa near the beach. The studio was clean with air conditioning, a coffee machine and a small fridge and microwave and toaster . Unfortunately no sink to wash the dishes, we washed the dishes into the small sink in the toilet. It was ok. Also there were towels for the beach and towels for the shower , very appreciated! The shower was outside the studio, it’s funny. There was a place to park our car. The place is great to spend 3-4 days in the north shore.

    Sam2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great place!

    Steven2019-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect spot in north shore !

    Micaela2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Clean place and accommodation except for the dishes. They were dirty and the air conditioning takes time to cool. Everything else very well. Enough towels, excellent location just 1 block from the accommodation.

    David2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful little studio with a nice bedroom, cute half bath, and small green space. Justine, the house keeper is kind and was easy to talk to. The area is safe and close walking distance to the beach. The only problem was the shower was outside and only covered by shower curtains. When it gets windy, the shower curtain sticks to you or blows everywhere. It’s secluded but kind of annoying when you’re in the shower. If stuff like that doesn’t bother you, I recommend this little studio.

  • Francine and Ernesto's place in Oahu is awesome. The apartment was super clean, really comfortable, with a lot of beach utilities like chairs, umbrellas, and bikes for us to use. The location is great, really close to Haleiwa downtown and the waves of North Shore. I will definitely recommend staying there and will look for availability for my next vacation in Hawaii.

    Augusto2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking to explore the North Shore, this studio is the perfect location to be close to all the beautiful white sand beaches and delicious food trucks. Everything we wanted to do was just 10 minutes away or less! The studio was perfect size my family which includes my husband, myself & my two little kids (4 & 1 years old). We are comfortable sharing one big room with my kids, so the studio was perfect for us. It was nice to be able to explore all of north shore by being in the center of it all. Francine was also very quick to respond to any questions I had and accommodated all of our needs. Thanks for letting us stay in your studio!

  • Great place to stay! Safe and clean as well as comfortable and cute! Very useful laundry room after you go for hikes. Would stay there again :)

  • The place was very accurate to the description, super convenient location if you're staying in the North Shore, very comfortable, and clean. We enjoyed using the bikes and it was great having access to on site laundry. The turtle beach is literally a 2 minute bike ride away! Would definitely stay here again.

  • Perfect spot. Carol directed us to a great place to eat, set us up with surfing lessons, and even had bikes for us to use. Easy place to comfortably stay. We will be back

    Brooke2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect beach house in Hale’iwa! Stayed here with the family, including our 2 kids and had the best time. The house has everything you need - linens, towels, kitchen, plenty of beds and Netflix for the evenings. Right across the street from the beach and walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Carol and her husband were awesome hosts and my 7 year old and I even took a surf lesson with Carol! We will definitely be back! Mahalo Carol and Andrey!

    Grygoriy2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Carol’s place was in a great location in the sweet town of Haleiwa. There is excellent beach access nearby and the bikes were very helpful in traveling to and from town, which is otherwise an easy walk. We had more than enough space and really enjoyed the lanai for fresh air and coffee in the morning. We hope to return!

    Nancy2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed here with another couple for an evening. It was a very comfortable stay for all of us. We were able to cook dinner and breakfast easily in the kitchen. We would happily stay there again.

    Allison2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • I like the layout of this house. Three rooms. One is on upper level. Which keep some privacy from kids. This house has pretty much basic everything. I love the owner has surf school for girls. My girl and me did go. One person $80. I like the patio it’s big. I like the town area and specially the sun set beach. That like 7miles away. But it is gorgeous to watch people surf on high waves. Need prepare your own paper towel. There has coffee and sugar but no cream. If you like cream. The house is sparkling clean.

    joanna2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent Spot. Had one portable AC unit in the living room so had to leave all bedroom doors open at night. That did not bother us. The neighborhood has older homes but seems very safe. Parking is covered and easy. The area is fun and filled with things to do.

    David2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! It’s easy to walk to the beach, the rainbow bridge, the river to go SUP, North Shore Surf Shop. It’s probably a nice half mile (estimate) walk to town. We spent most of our time at Haleiwa Alii Beach Park watching a local surf contest. I went snorkeling right across the road, it was cloudy due to the large winter swell, but I saw 2 turtles and a decent number of reef fish.

    Lana2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Carol's place. There was 5 adults travelling for business. Carol was very informative of the local area, amenities and even provided us Surfing lessons. Would highly recommend staying at Carol's's if your travelling to the North Shore.

Close to everything but off the beaten path and out of traffic. Hands down the BEST spot in Haleiwa walking distance to everything!
  • Our stay at this Airbnb was fantastic - great location for anyone looking to explore the North Shore and Haleiwa! The amenities and space were perfect for 1-3 people to stay in comfortably during their vacation to Oahu.

  • Perfect location in Haleiwa, parking area outside the house. Walking distance to beach and local surfspot! Recommended.

  • Super cozy space with all the basics you need, and an amazing day bed to boot! Kai is incredibly welcoming and responsive.

    Jasmin2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This location can not be beat. You are right around the corner from town, so you can have a nice breakfast if you so desire before embarking on the day’s activities. Bed was very comfy and water pressure in shower great (and the shower itself was spacious). Host provided Starbucks coffee and there’s a full refrigerator. For a simple clean space in an excellent location it’s a good value. Host has an on-site watchdog who is very friendly!

    Julio2020-01-14T00:00:00Z

  • Thanks for the stay! The place is perfectly situated for North Shore adventures in all directions, and thoughtful touches all around. Couldn't ask for more :)

    Robbie2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • This wonderful place is so nearly perfect! The location could not be better, bed is super comfy, water pressure is great. It’s bright and clean in the room, and the T.V. had many streaming options (Netflix, Hulu, etc) which was an awesome surprise. Once we formally met Kai he was very kind + made sure we were comfortable. I would stay here again based off these qualities. Only thing to keep in mind is that because the unit does not have A.C., it does get uncomfortably hot during the day, and is nearly unbearable to be in until about 7pm. Overall we truly loved our stay, we would without a doubt recommend and absolutely stay again.

This place highlights what is special about the North Shore with simple outdoor living and a unique and refreshing natural feeling that you can't get by staying in a hotel room. Our Guest Property parallels a bike/walking path and is approximately 1 mile to both towns Haleiwa & Waialua and several beach accesses and parks. Both towns have much to offer towards equipment rentals and necessary purchases/FOOD to ensure you can enjoy everything that the North Shore has to offer during the day.
The property is fenced in with gated parking and very family friendly. Perfect for 2, but can accommodate (very tight) a family of 5 by using a Twin and/or Queen Air Mattress.
We live on a very convenient beach road which offers a bike/walking path and we live within a mile of the main streets of both of our little towns Haleiwa and Waialua. Less than a mile to the nearest Starbucks: ) Less than a mile to the nearest beach with public access. It is about a 40 minute walk to the farthest edge of our little town Haleiwa where you can enjoy the view of the Rainbow Bridge over the Anahulu River that feeds into the ocean right by the Haleiwa Boat Harbor at Waialua Bay (A MUST SEE) A perfect place to paddle board with the sea turtles swimming right underneath you. This is one of our favorite places and favorite things to do.
  • Wonderful stay at the Yurt. This was our first time staying in a yurt and it highly exceeded expectations! The inside was very spacious and we felt our outdoor area was very secluded. This is also very close to the downtown area/beaches! Spring was very responsive and made sure our stay was great!

    Taylor2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • The yurt was such a fun place to stay! We loved being outdoors and it's a great location to hang out on the North Shore. Spring had tons of beach stuff we could borrow, which was really awesome. Would highly recommend!

    Liz2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • It was a wonderful place like no other.

    2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had such an awesome stay at the yurt! It was unique and quirky but still homey and comfortable. There were so many thoughtful touches available. We loved the connection to nature during our stay from sleeping with open-screened walls, and the outdoor shower. Great location, great amenities, great host, and a great experience!

    Anthony2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Spring has created a beautiful little oasis located in the middle of paradise. The yurt, the kitchen, the shower, the outdoor space... all of it has been carefully curated and designed to make it as homey and paradisey as possible. 10/10 would recommend and hopefully come back!!

    Madeleine2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The Mango Tree Shower was a great alternative on the North Shore to resorts and hotels of Waikiki. Spent 4 days here in our own private area on the property. The set up on site is great with a fully self contained kitchen with a BBQ area to on side and the shower on the opposite side of the kitchen. The yurt was spacious for a couple with a comfortable queen size bed a plenty of room of our luggage. We were a bit concerned after reading the feedback about the traffic noise after I had booked but after the first night is was a non issue for us. (Spring had obviously listened to feedback as there were fresh ear plugs available on our side table at check in but I didn’t need them after the first night as I quickly got used to the traffic noise). This was a great place to base ourselves on the North Shore and we would definitely come back here!

    Haydn2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Really cozy place and Spring and her family are so friendly! It was special to live inside and outside, hearing the animals and just be relaxed. The communication with Spring was really good and we like that she has thinking about a lot of small details. We’re really sorry that we just stay one night because this was so cozy. We highly recommend this place. Mahalo Björn and Livija

  • So many pros to this place. The location can't be beat with eateries and shops at a stones throw. The yurt was great for two people. Just enough space for us and our things. The bed was very comfy. Loved the option of cooking and keeping food in the kitchen if desired, and having towels and shower amenities provided. Kimberly also left ear plugs for the noise. Those roosters don't seem to sleep much! Highly recommend.

  • Donna and Pat are awesome people! Very hospitable and kind, they even offered us fresh Hawaiian oranges and coconuts from their neighbours farm. We also got to pick fresh papayas from the tree. Plenty of space to store food as there are 2 fridges solely for Airbnb guests. The bed was comfy, and the room had a nice smart tv. Her cats and dogs are also the cutest, I had a soft spot for Stella :) The location has a nice quiet country vibe, close to a quiet beach and has beautiful mountains in the background.
Welcome aboard :) Enjoy a comfy bed in a neat, snug "ship mates' quarters" with cold air conditioning and a nautical theme. We work to continuously improve our home while fostering a calm, clean, positive environment that guests can feel safe and at home. There is an energy of relaxation and friendliness with a maritime atmosphere in our home we hope you'll love :) Prepare for three cats on the property, in case of allergies.
Our neighborhood is in the cul-de-sac of a residential area right on the cusp of Haleiwa town. The residents of the area are mostly local families living in their ancestral home, and while they are friendly, they usually prefer to be left alone :) One side of the house is a large traffic circle called "Weed Circle", which is how you get to Haleiwa, so be aware of potential road sounds. The other side is the neighborhood cul-de-sac. The area is usually quiet and peaceful, with occasional family gatherings and luaus. As I do live more on the peaceful and beautiful countryside of Oahu, be aware of potential roosters screaming in the morning, which is less annoying than more adding to the atmosphere! :)
  • My stay was great! really lovely hostel with great people from all around the world. you can’t beat the price!

  • Great place to meet great people :)

    Magdalena2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great and convenient little hostel. It’s basically like staying in someone’s house with a bunch of cool strangers. Make no mistake though, this is a hostel with transient people moving in and out, sharing a relatively small living space. There is not much for privacy unless you get your own room and even then you will see others when you leave your room. I stayed for 10 days and met some awesome people and had a great time. Very convenient location if you plan on spending most your time on the north shore and still it’s only a 30-40 minute drive into Honolulu. Just remember it’s a hostel not a hotel, I only say this because I saw a few older women turn up and look utterly disgusted by it and then complain. You’re paying $30 a night, loosen up and enjoy it!

  • I cannot recommend this place enough - it's a very special little gem, unlike any hostel or airbnb visited before! Great hosts create a welcoming atmosphere, and seem to have attracted a whole range of very friendly individuals to stay there. The people met here will be lasting friends. Whats more, Blake is constantly making an effort to make the space even better! I would definitely go back if in Hawaii again.

  • Feels more communal than hostel.I had a wonderful time here. Every evening I’d meet new people & get a chance to hear what they did that day. Cherry on the top was a bonfire at the beach with most of the house. 😊 I will definitely return.

Haleiwa Hale is located in a quiet, local style neighborhood that is right next to the ocean. Also, the town of Haleiwa is located within walking distance and has lots to do and see. Alii Beach park is only a 100 yards from your door and offers a place to jog, picnic or relax under a Monkey Pod tree as you enjoy the blue Pacific surf.
  • It is a studio apartment facing the back yard, with the owners living upstairs. Just about everything that you would need for a Hawaiian vacation is provided in the unit, and all of it very clean and new. The neighborhood is quiet -- to me, even the crowing morning roosters were quieter than I have heard in other parts of Hawaii.

  • Location is everything here. Walkable to a beach, right around the corner to all the shops and such in Hale’iwa. You can drive all the way to Turtle Bay in 20 minutes or so depending on beach traffic. Perfect north shore location. Guest suite is under primary residence and is a studio, had everything we needed. Nice touches for equipment and what not if you need. Would stay again if on the a north shore certainly!

  • We had a great stay at Kelli and Mark's. The space is comfortable and beautiful indoors and out and there were an amazing number of beach items for us to use. We were even able to do laundry! Thanks, Kelli and Mark!

  • If you looking for a quiet place close to the beach and town, look no further. Kelli was waiting for us when we arrived and gave us some good tips on places to go. This room was clean, well decorated and well maintained. We couldn’t have picked a better spot!

  • The studio is very well equipped and super clean. Very good location near the Haleiwa downtown with restaurants and little shops, as well we beaches near by. Kelli was very quick at responding and extremely nice. If I come back to Haleiwa and this place is available I will for sure book!

  • We loved stay at Kelli and Mark's place! It had everything we needed and the location was fantastic! Just one block from a great beach where we saw sea turtles in the water. North Shore has so much to offer with it's natural beauty plus all the places to eat and shop. Staying here made it so easy to enjoy. Kelli had lots of good ideas about what to do in the area. Definitely an excellent experience!!

  • We had a wonderful week here. The space is comfortable and has so many thoughtful touches. The location was amazing, with a great beach literally at the end of the block and close enough to the Haleiwa “downtown” to be able to walk to shops and restaurants. We especially appreciated the beach chairs, snorkel gear, and other amenities. Would absolutely stay here again.

  • We had a great stay at Kelli and Mark's place! The location is amazing, the place is a studio but still very comfortable, the outdoor area is a nice bonus. They were both very friendly and made us feel right at home. I would definitely stay here again when visiting the North Shore.
