Very comfortable living space. So much room to enjoy. Spectacular views and very well equipped. We had a fabulous Braai one night after shopping at shops close to the house. Anthony is a very welcoming and responsive host. The location is perfect as you can pop into Cape Town, Hermanus or wine country for the day and return to this oasis.

We would definitely stay here if we were in Gordon's Bay again. Anthony was a great host - available when needed to explain something or offer advice. The view from the house is amazingly gorgeous and we enjoyed every morning's coffee/tea on the deck... and every evening's gorgeous sunset with a glass of wine. :) The house is very spacious and has everything you need. It was great having 5 bedrooms with 5 separate FULL bathrooms (showers AND tubs!). It is a very private house as it sits at the top of the hill and has a beautiful mountain view behind the house and an unbeatable ocean / sunset view off the various front decks. The house has everything you need in the kitchen, large dining room, the living room (TV, stereo sound, etc. - although we never once turned on the TV!), the bathrooms (towels, etc.) and laundry room. We didn't use the pool, but it also has a nice view and seems to be a great dipping option on a hot day. There is a cat or two that comes in and out of the house to eat, but if you don't give them attention, they really are not even noticeable. We enjoyed Daisy's presence & gave her lots of love, however, so she regularly curled up with us in the evenings. Gordon's Bay is a very tranquil place to stay, so it's great for a peaceful, relaxing vacation. There are a few good restaurants, and it's close to the Strand for a nice beach day. If you're not renting a car to get around, Uber is available from the house, but it almost always took 15-20 minutes for an Uber to arrive (that's how peaceful and "up there" on the mountain it is!). It's still a nice place to stay and easy enough to get to Stellenbosch, wine country and Cape Town. Enjoy!

Robin was an excellent host, very welcoming, the apartment had everything we needed was very nice to have the garden space in the backyard. Perfect location, amazing stay will definitely come back again on our next trip.

Robin and Tony are amazing hosts. They are very friendly and welcoming and they really want to make your stay wonderful. The flat is very nice. We enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen and we had a barbecue with the provided gas grill. There was more provided that we could have imagined: coffee, tea, snacks and cereals... There is a TV with a DVD player. (We got DVDs for one day from "Vee's Video" in Sumerset West that we watched in the flat.) There are also two boogie boards that you can take to the beach if you want to. The big windows make the flat very bright and you have a nice view at Gordon's Bay. There is a very beautiful garden with lots of flowers and bumblebees that you have for your own. We could park our rented car on the well secured property. Robin and Tony give nice advice about nearby Restaurants and weekend markets. Gordon's Bay is very close to the Clarence Drive where we enjoyed beautiful sunsets (to drive there is also nice during day time). The airport is 40 min away and Cape Town is about 45 min. Due to Load Shedding the electricity is sometimes switched off in Cape Town for two hours. Robin informed us about the times and there are torches in the flat that you can use, so don't worry. We would definitely recommend staying at Robin's and Tony's Airbnb. Their hospitality is just incredible.

We had a great stay at Robins apartement! Although we were not lucky with für weather, we could enjoy our meals at the big and covered balcony! The bed was super comfy and the kitchen was well equipped! Robin offered some delicous cookies and some cereals and milk for breakfast. Could not wish for better hosts than Robin and her husband! :)

Robin’s place was lovely. Really a delightful place with a stunning bougainvillea and terrace! She had thought of everything including breakfast we felt very lucky and relaxed. Would highly recommend.

Best views all around! The balcony is great, there's a hammock and such a comfortable place to stay. I really loved the breakfast and the views! I will definitely be coming back for another stay. There wifi TV is such a nice touch to watch series. WiFi connection is amazing. I genuinely think this place is great value for money. Try it out!

The view is a 180 degree eagles eye view of Gordons Bay, Strand and the mountains. Truly spectacular! Jack is an excellent host and the cooked breakfast was delicious. The accommodation was excellent with a comfortable bed and very clean. There is everything you need including fridge, microwave, tea, coffee and crockery and cutlery. The main beach and bikini beach are a short drive away. Great location. I highly recommend Top of the World to both solo travelers and couples.

The venue (a flat next to the main home of the host) was cosy and neat. We were blessed with some milk, bug spray, mosquito repellant and biscuits which is really thoughtful. Amazing view in the day and starry beneath at night. Was great to sleep with the veranda door to the bedroom open during the hot nights.

We spent a really lovely week staying with Dennis & Miranda. The apartment is spacious & comfortable with a gorgeous view. Our hosts were friendly, kind & helpful. A great experience!

We can definitely recommend Eve's apartment. We felt very welcome. Eve is a great host and she gave us some very helpful tips. The apartment was well equipped and offered everything needed. The view from the balcony is absolutely stunning!

5 stars: Super location. Breathtaking view over the bay to Table Mountain. Very comfortable king size bed. Clean. Private and quiet. Own access. Safe. Milk and oat crunchies a thoughtful gesture. No shortage of basic supplies. Friendly, considerate hosts. 4 stars: Basic/dated kitchen and bathroom facilities, but functional and clean. Access via one flight of outside stairs which could make carrying heavy/large luggage difficult. Quite hot in summer (no air con), but there is a fan, and the beautiful, calm-water beaches are a stone's throw away. Would highly recommend. It will not disappoint.

The main room is lovely and clean, calm and airy. Eve was a delightful host with lots of great local tips. The view is truly incredible, bikini beach is a few minutes walk away, a very natural and clean beach with very few people. Delicious seafood at the nearby Thirsty Oyster.

We had a wonderful 2 weeks at this lovely property. Sarita was the perfect hostess, unobtrusive but helpful with advice on sights etc. She even received a courier parcel for us, and gave us a bottle of bubbly for New Year’s Eve! A car is necessary and although it’s street parking, very safe at the top of a long cul-de-sac in a well protected neighborhood. Being high up the mountain there is a lovely view both upwards (with walking opportunities) and down towards Somerset Bay and, meters away, there are views of False Bay, Table Mountain and more.

Sarita's place is perfect for a base in Gordon's Bay. The kitchen and bedroom are open plan with the toilet and shower behind a partition wall. The kitchen has great amenities with a small stove/oven and plenty of plates and pans etc. The bed was very comfy and the whole place was sparkling clean. There is also a small outdoor area with table and grass for use by the apartment. The check in process was very smooth too. We would definitely recommend this place to others!

Amazing place! With breathtaking view

We had a great stay at Sarita’s place. It is located high up on a mountain and offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding coast and mountains. The bed was very comfortable, there is a kitchen with essential appliances for cooking, and the place was immaculate. There is also a very friendly dog to keep you company too! We would gladly return for another stay.

Place was looked exactly as advertised, was sparkling clean and flexible checkin option allowed us to go about our day plans without being worried about having to get there a specific time. Check In and check out was simple and easy.

Nothing short of 10/10! The rental is perfect in every aspect; with the decor and facilities inside being amazing, a fantastic view on the rear patio and helpful hosts who were always on hand. Anton was kind enough to welcome us in and was only a phone call away when we needed which was much appreciated. The location is just superb, we would definitely recommend Gordon's Bay to anyone. All in all a fantastic trip made better by this perfect place to stay and wonderful hosts.

We just had an amazing 6 night stay in Anton and Elsie’s luxury apartment as an end to a three week holiday in SA. Anton and Elsie were the perfect hosts in every way and our stay in their gorgeous apartment was absolutely amazing. Every little detail was thought through and there was absolutely nothing missing. We will definitely recommend them and their apartment to others and hope to stay there again next we visit Gordon’s Bay.

Breathtakingly beautiful view. Absolutely peaceful. We did not want to leave. It's a stylish Villa, with Snowy the housekat that sleeps all day and applicate any Love or attraction you can give her. She was adorableWe had sundowners on the livky balcony and build up a beautiful tan next to our Own swimming pool! The livingroom was our favorite spot. With wifi and Dstv inc.,we never moved away out of that area. Lucy is the sweetest person you ever have met. She is outstanding and an excellent Host. This was our Home away from Home. Thank you.

A wonderful house! No, don’t call it a house, it is a mansion. Wonderful because of its location up on the hill overlooking Gordons Bay and to the right viewing the mountains and wonderful because of the way it is built and decorated. In every corner you feel the love the owners put into the house. There was nothing we missed. And the owners, Lucy and Tony are wonderful people who gave us great advise where to go and what to do. We already decided to come back when we will visit ZA again.

Mari's apartment is perfectly equipped and nicely decorated. The view of the sea is just perfect. This beach is not particularly suitable for people who want it to be completely windless, but where do you have no wind in the area ?! Mari is super cooperative, takes great care of her guests. Martin and Anton handed us the key and were approachable, uncomplicated and helpful all the time. Mari, thank you for a great stay!

Beachfront Heaven is really the place with the best view I have ever been to. The sunset over the sea is spectacular. Mari is really good hostess. She assisted me with everything. I will really recommend Beachfront Heaven to anyone.

The location is super and you can park right in front - there is a small private beach out the back door and a much larger public one only 4 minutes away. Turn right going out the front door and you are a few minutes from the harbour where we found the Thirsty Oyster and liked it so much we went back a second time. Turn left and you re a few minutes from the beach along with many places to eat. The flat has 3 beds, great mattresses and plenty of towels, a nice rain shower and its kid friendly with a small table, chairs and lots of playthings. We made breakfast each morning, everything was there, Sue is a super host and Sam who takes care of the place is a great guy. We did not BBQ as it was windy - plan to do so next time as this is a place you will definitely want to come back to. Nice to sit outside and chill with a glass of wine and look out at the bay. Recommend that you drive out in the direction of Betty's Bay and see the Penguin Colony - much nicer and not as commercial as the one in Simons Town. Overall 5 Stars in my book!

Great place to overnight.

Hanneke has a beautiful room, with a bathtub and a very comfortable bed. The listing is close to good restaurants and a nice 10min walk away from the beach. Parking inside the premises is a good benefit we appreciate. Highlights are: garden access, Hanneke's rusks and the chats with her in between, sharing traveling stories from all around the world. We highly recommend this beautiful place!

What a wonderful experience! We had a lovely time, staying with Martin. The accommodation was excellent, as advertised and the view even better than expected. If you are looking for great value accommodation in the Gordon's Bay area, then this is it!

The apartment is even more beautiful than the pics and has all the amenities you need for a getaway. Martin was a great host who answered all my questions timeously and allowed an early check-in. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Home from home with everything you would need!

Very nice appartement with a lot of space and everything in it. It's right on the other side of the beach and there are some nice restaurants near. It can be very windy, but other then that, perfect!

My recommendation go and try it

I booked the space for my parents as it was my dad's birthday. Walter and Willem's communication was on point and they were available when needed. I visited my parents for a few hours one day and saw the space for myself. The unit was neat, clean and within walking distance to the beach. Most importantly they felt safe and they will definitely be returning!

I enjoyed my stay with Gary and Sarah. The check in was great, with good directions and even a video. The place was clean, comfortable, and had lots of hot water and good WiFi. I couldn’t ask for more.

A great place. The photos don't show everything: the quality of the room, the bed like in a good hotel, the thick curtains, TV with surround sound, quality furniture. In this place one would be comfortable even in winter or rainy days, sitting in the bow window comfy chairs. On our hot summer evening it was lovely to sit outside just in front of the suite, on our own private terrace with a huge garden in front of us. The bathroom is also exceptionally well equipped. Sarah a very friendly hostess , with here sweet daughter Malou. We would have loved to stay longer.

Perfect for us as an overnighter but with the lovely Mountain View’s and farm tranquility, and comfortable lodgings, we could have lingered much longer.

Nathans place in full value in a stunning location with sea and mountain views from your room. The place was comfortable and clean. The area has all you need with good restaurants and shopping facilities. The free under cover parking is an added bonus. Nathan is a good helpful host and comunictes well. The area is viby with an Ocean Basket seafood restaurant. I will definitely book Nathans place again.

Christel is a great host. I liked the view into the garden most. It is so peaceful to enjoy the terrace in the evening. Strand beach is nice as well. I liked the breakfast in Timeless Cafe very much.

Very comfortable arrived a wee bit late so only got to appreciate the garden in the morning. Would recommend to anyone. The cup of coffee served to me in the morning was a lovely touch.....many thanks guys

We had a lovely time with child friendly space and lovely garden , the garden was private and relaxing , we had a lovely walk from the place to the beach . Studio was neat and clean everything worked as it should. Coffee machine was great Water was warm in shower Tv and satellite working perfectly for the kids And internet helped us stay connected Host was very friendly and made us feel very welcomed

The place is as advertised; clean, efficient and comfortable. They provided a flat sheet on the bed at my request so that I would not burn up under the heavy, white duvet. My friend was able to sleep comfortably on the couch because they provided a soft for fury blanket for the sleeper-couch. He was hugging it as if it was Linus's blanket from Charlie Brown. He never let the sleeper out. The aircon was cooling but the drain line was clogged seemingly whic caused it to leak quite a bit over the breakfast bar counter. I just asked for large towels as needed and Carlien was there within minutes with a fresh one until the plumber could be scheduled later. The made a a charcoal grill available. We felt really safe and secure because we not only had our own gate entrance to the carport but the studio had its own alarm system that was easily activated and deactivated when you came and left. We had our own entrance to the pool and deck area. They created he space so that you really had your own privacy. The 3 dogs were beautiful and friendly and just as welcoming. They became your best frienda even if you didnt know hat you could feed them. 'Read the short manual provided. It tells you everything you meed to know'. To bad i did read it till checkout. The location is 400m from a Kwikstop store on one corner and the other end of the street was a Spar with butcher and all. Then the Somerset Mall is just a 2 Km further away just off the N2. You will find everything there. Oh yeah...very close to beach. If not so windy we would have spent more than 15 minutes there. Once the drain for the aircon is fixed, this becomes a place I want to stay again. I can't sleep without air moving so Carlien quickly provided a high speed fan when I.mentioned that the ceiling fan and the main light were on the same switch. My Amazon special plug adapters US to ZA did not work. I mentioned it to Carlien and she grab one from her son. And texted me several locations were I could buy some that would work. If you just mentioned anything to Jan&Carlien, they quickly responded with more than you needed. I highly recommended this accommodation for your next visit.

The studio was clean, comfortable and well appointed exactly as in the pictures. It is located in a safe neighborhood and is well situated to enjoy what the Strand and surrounding area has to offer. I loved my Nespresso coffee in the mornings. Thank you Carlien for your hospitality.

The place is nice and cozy, safe. The hosts were also amazing. Its proximity to the strand beach is also an icing on top.

Wonderful place to be

We were greeted super nice. Large bright clean room. Everything you need. To reach supermarket in 5 minutes on foot, it is about 15 minutes to the beach. We liked it very much, again at any time.

Jan was very accommodating, we arrived before the check in time and the place was as described. Unfortunately the pool was not working as we would have loved to chill by the pool side on the Friday when we arrived. The kitchenette was super functional and had basic necessities... Better than expected it is extremely clean and felt just like a home away from home. They accommodated us in the best ways possible. As a young couple wanting a little getaway it was really the best time. We wished that we didn't have to return home and could just remain their. I will definitely be returning. And I'll need to book far in advance.once more people find out just how amazing it is ,it will be fully booked permanently.

Mark and his wife are really super hosts. They did all to let us feel like being home. The apartment was absolutely clean and the kitchen was very well equipped. But the best on this apartment is the incredible view over Gordons Bay to the table mountain.

Great beach, great place with a great host. Would recommend anyone to stay here, the deck with the view is amazing.

Great, comfortable space. Good nights sleep and our hosts were very accommodating with our flights being delayed which caused us to check in late. But Johann and Ruan were very understanding and waited for us to arrive well after 12am.

Truly has a wow factor when you walk in, beautiful place, stunning on-suite room, It was clean, beautiful ocean views all around. Perfect location to walk to the most amazing pubs and restaurants. There were boats driving past and ocean life swimming past the bedroom from the balcony, Worth the money, this is what AirBnB is all about, staying with awesome people in an amazing place.
