Kind owners. It's comfortable to stay alone on the lower floor. Breakfast is so pretty and delicious. It's the smaller of the two, but it's okay to stay alone. If you have a lot of carriers, it might be a little difficult. Near the house, the 27 bus goes to downtown. Bank Mart Tim Holton and so on, about a 5-minute walk away. I wasn't a traveler. This is a home with a good location and a warm home. I hope that the coronavirus will disappear soon and that Airbnb and travel will be active. :)

Gary is an amazing host!! He is very considerate and thoughtful. He asked me if I need anything frequently. The house is in a nice quiet area but still easy to access to main places in Victoria including downtown. The house is clean and well-equipped. I truely recommend staying here if you plan to stay in Victoria for a couple of months or longer.

This is the perfect place to stay while visiting Victoria. The bedroom is spacious, clean and warm. The bed is very comfortable. Peng and her husband are very welcoming and kind. I was happy to stay in this place.

I stayed in the cottage for 5 days and it was wonderful. A very clean and cosy flat close to the university ans buses to go in downtown! Janet was a wonderful host and take time to help me when I needed it. It is a fantastic place to relax and to visit Victoria and the Vancouver Island!

Janet’s place is very clean and private. There is a lot of attention - my favourites were: a hook for your towel near the shower (why don’t more places have this??) and tea in the cupboard. It is very close to UVic and super easy to get downtown. Thanks for a comfortable little nest Janet!

Beautiful cottage, nice amenities and pretty close to some beautiful areas! The host is wonderful and has awesome knowledge of great spots to see! She recommended us to visit the breakwater boardwalk and it was our favourite part of the trip!

Couldn’t have been better. The room was cozy, clean, tidy, and equipped with everything I needed. Caron and her family are lovely hostesses. The location is perfect, close to the bus stop, restaurants and supermarkets.

Exactly what I was looking for! Caron is very friendly and told me everything I needed to know to make my stay comfortable. Loved having a delicious breakfast, made fresh, brought down to me each morning. Bed was super comfy and I slept well both nights. Location was ideal for conference I was attending at UVIC. I would definitely stay here again next time I need to attend anything at UVIC. Thanks Caron for being a great hostess!

Carone and her sister were lovely hosts, they were very welcoming, helpful, accommodating and kind. Breakfast was delicious every day, and the bed had fleece sheets which felt basically like heaven. Clean modern place with full kitchen, cozy living room, comfy bed and many places to eat and or shop. Exactly what I needed for my week long stay. I recommend Meddys place to future travelers.

Meddy's place has everything that I needed being out of town. I have stayed over 12 days at their place and it was big and fancy. The place is clean and will have no problems checking in or staying in.

I stayed here for about 5 weeks and it was an amazing stay. The place is thoughtfully styled and equipped for comfort and convenience. You will have everything you need for a short or long-term stay. The location is in a safe, quiet and lovely neighborhood and not far away from the beach and Mt Douglas Park and with easy access to downtown buses. Meddy is a great host and he responded quickly to messages and any concern. I highly recommend this place especially for long-term stays.

I stayed here for just over six weeks and it was perfect. There was everything I needed for cooking, Netflix on the TV, and it was very clean and comfortable. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and quick at replying to any messages. It's close to the bus to UVic or downtown as well. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Meddy's place was very cute and cozy and sparkling clean! It was so comfortable that we did not mind the bit of noise coming from the main house. The yard and garden was beautiful and enjoyed sitting out there one morning. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Very clean and stylish. Nice private entrance. Did not meet host personally, but she was quickly available via message. It is a basement suite so you could hear the upstairs people but that wasn’t an issue for me.

We have stayed here a few times for sporting events and the value can't be beat. Sparkling clean, comfortable beds and a fantastic location. Kitchen has everything we need to provide healthy meals - we try and book every time we are in the area

Another wonderful stay. Really enjoy the place and the amenities. Did not have much of an opportunity to spend time there with a busy weekend but appreciated the time we were there.

The house is great, well-kept and super clean (I’m very sensitive to mold and could not smell anything there, which was awesome for me). We were in 2 couples, but it could accommodate 3 couples perfectly. As in most areas outside downtown Victoria, you will need a car to get around. We’d stay there again. Thanks, Irene!

Beautiful place to stay. We did not get to take advantage of the deck or relax there too much as we were gone most of the weekend for a swim meet. Loved the gas stove and the really comfortable beds. Kids liked Netflix for the short time they were able to watch tv.

As an American ex-pat, I've experienced all levels of accommodations in 30yrs of international travel and Irene's lovely rental has allowed us to enjoy the comforts of home during our week long vacation in Victoria BC. Above par in cleanliness, sanitation and order -everything in its place. This is heavily to someone like me being a germaphobe with OCD During our stay, I hosted a small dinner get-together and serveral of my friends inquired about Irene's place... they were surely filled in on the details in renting her flat on Airbnb. Mona was a great host! She answer very quick to our request and provides exacts instructions to get in her place, making our arrival easy and straight for it! This place is very clean and perfect for 4-5 guest, kitchen have all that you will need. I would say that is better to go with your own car than public transportation. Initially we were hesitant to book here because of location but we’re so glad we did. Downtown is only 15 mins away but you must check out Mount Douglas park and a nice beach off Balmacarra Road, both are really close to the property. The place is spacious, clean, and perfect for families. Mona is easy to deal with and responds quickly. Thanks again for the letting us stay here. Beautiful place and location.

We happened to run into the owners as we arrived, and he kindly led us through the gate. The beds are comfortable, and the bathroom is old but clean. Our stay was quite comfortable!

We loved our stay. The suite is bright, sparkling clean, and even more spacious than it seemed in the pictures. It is very private with view on a beautiful yard. It has a modern kitchen with new, well functioning appliances. The bathroom is large, modern, and very clean. It is stocked clean, soft bath towels. The bed is comfortable as well. It is located in a nice, mature, safe neighbourhood. On short walking distance there is a beautiful beach, which is great to visit year round. Ricky was easy to communicate with. Check-in and check-out was very convenient with a lock box. I would definitely stay again and certainly recommend his place.

Tina is a nice host

Tina was a wonderful host, I had a lot of problems with the flights, so I got to the place 5 hours late, but she even cancelled an event in order to let me check in. She can keep up very interesting chats and I loved waking up every morning and finding breakfast in the table!

Tina was a very lovely and gracious host. Good communication and relatively flexible with meeting times. I missed a connection coming into Victoria and was only able to arrive the next day, and Tina was very understanding and able to accommodate a schedule change on very short notice. Highly recommended spot near to the University and away from any busy streets. Lovely coffee and offers for breakfast in the morning along with some very nice chats!

My husband and I stayed one night before starting our camping vacation. This place was fantastic. Easy to find, great location, very clean, comfortable and quiet. It is located near some local parks with wonderful walking/hiking trails. Selina was friendly, responsive and easy to get ahold of; communication was clear and prompt. Local brochures, guides, ​and recommendations was a nice touch. We would definitely return for a future stay.

Neil was clear in his communications/instructions and very quick to respond to inquiries. The convenient location, cosy fireplace, soft linens and washer/dryer supported an easy comfortable stay. This is a very nice and comfortable one-bedroom suite with all the necessary amenities. Neil and his family are wonderful hosts. Extremely welcoming, readily available through text or phone to answer any questions, and promptly addressing any concerns. The apartment was set up very well with all the amenities provided in the listing, and even some extras. To get me started, there were eggs, bread, butter, and milk in the fridge, and coffee; all a very nice touch and much appreciated. The suite has a private walkway and entrance on the left side of the house, and even though the house that it is in is located at the corner of a main street, one does not hear any of the traffic noise inside the suite. The location was absolutely perfect for me. It was quick and easy to find, with bus stops less than a five minute walk away. The various buses that serve these stops directly connect you to UVIC, downtown, as well as other parts of the city. There are restaurants, convenience stores, grocery stores, coffee shops, bank and even a mall, all within a five to ten minute walk. Inside the suite, the kitchen is a decent size and has a microwave, a full stove top with oven, coffee maker, toaster, blender, cooking utensils, dishware, silverware, cabinet space etc. There is also salt and pepper, some spices and seasonings, a few sauces/dressings in the fridge, all nice touches too. The living room area is very spacious. It has a nice, big TV, a sofa-bed, a couple of lounge chairs, and a dining table for four. The washer was different; one of those portable/movable ones, but it worked perfectly fine along with the dryer. Laundry detergent pods were also already provided. The bedroom had all the necessary bed-linen, and the bathroom had toiletries. All in all, Neil has this place set up extremely well and has thought through everything that one would need for a short or a long stay. I would love to stay here again whenever I visit Victoria. I recommend this place for sure. Thank you Neil, for such a pleasant stay. The title of the listing is perfect; Comfy Cabana Suite!

I had a great stay. I was very happy to find a trail onto the flank of Mt. Douglas right outside the door and had an amazing hike the first morning: an owl calling through the mist on the way to the top, then a great stop at the beach near sunrise and back 'home' on easy trails. Not bad for the 'city'!

This is an ideal place for travelers in Victoria. Parking is convenient- there is enough space. Check in is easy - will give you a code; you don’t need keys. The place is very clean and bed is big and comfortable. Also you have your private bathroom. I have very good rest after traveling. Highly recommended to all travelers.

The place is really clean and bigger than I was expecting. It takes about 25 minutes from downtown by bus. Reasonable price and great place to stay.

I stayed for two weeks. Room was large, bed was wide, bedding was clean, and bathroom was neat. I put comfortably on the shelf or the refrigerator that put food in the kitchen and did not mix it because I set the space for each airbnbi room. I've been using the washer and dryer well. Please provide me with detergent and I was doing well without any inconvenience. There's a private cafe near the house. The bus stop is about a ten minute walk.

The place was clean, spacious, amazing kitchen, comfy couch and living room ideal for relaxing in front of the fantastic TV. It was quite short on cutlery and cooking hardware. Having a working fireplace would have been the ultimate. We noticed that there is some work in progress in the front yard which we hope will enlighten the place. We are looking forward to coming back in the summer or possibly later in the winter.

I spent Thanksgiving weekend with my family the kitchen was the perfect size to host. The beds are extremely comfortable and there is plenty of room for a larger family. Thank you Frank for being a great host I would definitely stay at one of your homes again!

Catherine’s place is exactly like the photos, is cosy and 15 min bus to UVic. It is located in a residential neighbourhood and I felt safe walking in from the bus alone late the first night (all well lit roads). It is a basement suite so you get the typical noise from overhead every so often but otherwise it is quiet and has basic amenities. I would stay here again.

Close to University of Victoria. My daughter and I had our own space to sleep--I got the bedroom and she had the sofa bed.

Catherine's suite was very clean, and really good value if you need a place that sleeps 4 - sofa bed in the living room was comfortable and was easy to set up. Great to have a full kitchen and private entrance. Catherine was really responsive and a great communicator. Instructions were clear and accurate and check-in was easy (great diagrams of directions!). The only negative was a VERY loud sump pump (for pumping out excess ground water) right outside the bedroom window. Made it difficult to sleep as it pumped every five minutes and the window definitely couldn't be left open, which would be a problem in hot weather (this was February and even with the window closed it kept us awake). No idea if the timing can be changed so that the pump doesn't run at night - or maybe it was only running because there had been torrential rain the week prior. But I would definitely be asking if the pump would be going (at night) before I stayed again. Didn't disturb the two sleeping in the living room as the pump was farther from the living room window than the bedroom window.

I spent a very short night after a long flight trip, but the place is so good. The room is very clean. I like the super comfortable bed.

l stayed here for 2 days and really enjoyed my trip. The location is close to University of Victoria, beautiful beaches, and bus loops connect to downtown which is so convenient. Quite and safe place, friendly host and her cats as well. Everything was organized, clean and clear. I just felt like home when I stayed here. Highly recommended!!

Selina’s place is located right next the university, stores, and a lab awesome beach. Everything is super close, even downtown. She has everything you might need for your stay and it’s all nicely updated.

Selina is an incredibly warm, sweet and thoughtful individual (with an enviable positive and calming energy!) who attended to any questions and made sure you were comfortable at all times. The basement space was a huge reflection of this; the bedroom was spacious with lots of storage, the kitchenette area, while compact, was fully equipped, and the bathroom was fully stocked down to personal toiletries. A true feeling of home away from home and when you’ve been travelling on your own for weeks, this makes all the difference! To top it all off, the place is clean, fresh and modern! I was afraid not having a car would limit me but there are buses that take you out to most places (no uber btw!) so you can definitely get about - however they aren’t as frequent so that takes a little bit of getting used to if you’re from the city like me. But hey, it’s Victoria - everything is so relaxed out here on the island and there’s something quite refreshing being forced to take a slower pace! :) All in all a great stay. I would definitely be back here and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a affordable place to stay in Victoria - whether you have a car or not!

I had a great stay, they are very hospitable and the home is close to UVic , which was the purpose of my trip. I was able to bike there in about 10-15 minutes. The only thing that I noticed is that my phone picked up a US cell tower, so I had to call and have the US tower blocked while I stayed there to avoid roaming charges.

Excellent place to stay, attentive (but not over-the-top) hosts, clean and comfortable with all the amenities we needed.

Our stay here was a very pleasant and comfortable one. Chris and his family are wonderful hosts. Very helpful and cooperative, and readily available via text or call whenever contacted. The suite is spacious, and has everything one would need for a short or long stay. Chris has thought through everything and has it extremely well-stocked with cooking and baking utensils, kitchen items, toiletries, coffee/tea, etc. The neighborhood is a very quiet and peaceful one, and is located in a nice part of town. It is very accessible via the public transit system. Bus stops are a five to seven minutes’ walk from the place and they connect to different parts of town including UVIC, downtown Victoria, etc. There are also restaurants and coffee shops (Tim Hortons and Starbucks), grocery stores, convenience stores and even a mall, all in walking distance. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend this place. Thank you Chris!

Chris met my two friends and I when we arrived and was extremely welcoming. The place includes a separate entrance to a self-contained basement unit with a living room, kitchen, small dining space, bathroom, and two bedrooms. The place was very clean and comfortable, as well as nicely decorated. The amenities, such as washer/dryer, a fully stocked kitchen, and a booklet with local information, also made our stay great. I would highly recommend Chris's place!

This is a self contained basement apartment with private access. The space is welcoming with good facilities in a very quiet neighbourhood. Chris was a very friendly host who always tried to help make our stay enjoyable. I thoroughly recommend this as a place to stay.

Great 2 night stay! Very family friendly. Travelling with 2 adults and one little one. Chris was very helpful making sure the pack and play was set up when we arrived, as well as they put out some toys, books and a little couch. Great communication before and during our trip! Erin's place was perfect. I attended a yoga conference, and the location was ideal. It's also very close to the water with beach access. The space is nicely designed with a comfy bed, beautiful new kitchen, and a fantastic bathroom. The shower was outstanding! It was great to have a fireplace, which quickly warmed the suite and provided a cozy atmosphere to watch a movie at night. Erin was always quick to respond to questions. I highly recommend staying at her place.

Great location and space. The apartment is very bright, open, and clean and has a lot of space. We cooked all our meals in the kitchen which has everything you would need. The hosts are really lovely and thoughtful.

Gary is a great host! He picked me up at the bus station and whenever we needed something in the house he brought it over asap! Gary is always available and can help you out in emergency situations -I once lost my key and Gary picked up to drive me home with my bike!-there is nothing more to say but that you will enjoy your stay with Gary!

A perfect place to spend a very good time in Vancouver.

Gary is a very conscientious guy! Made sure that I had everything I needed when I moved in, let me know all the ins and outs of staying in his place, and even provided a list of nearby amenities and things to do! Very organized and he is very reasonable. Puts a lot of time and effort into making sure his guests enjoy all aspects of their stay. Very approachable and solves issues in a very timely manner.

Gary was a great host. He was very attentive in making sure things were working well. He was available if and when I needed him. He was the best or certainly one of the best hosts in my experience. The bedroom was as described, bed comfortable and the room gave good space. This bedroom is one of six in the building, three on each floor. This proves to be excellent as it allows for a very large living room with a very large TV. There is a dining room and a very well equipped kitchen. A new washer and dryer was on the lower level floor that I was on. The other guests were in and out and it was never crowded. There is a large landing where one could relax. My room had doors which led out to a small patio. The only small problem, which was no fault of Gary's, was the occasional noise from the person above me. Not a complaint, just an observation. I was with Gary's accommodation for 5-6 days and found it very commendable and wished I could have stayed longer. I would like to return next year if I return to Victoria, and would highly recommended it to others.

Wonderful neighbourhood, quiet and peaceful with very easy access to UVic's campus. Gary was an amazing host and provided me with everything that I needed and the room and house were exceeded my expectations based on the description online. Could not have asked for a better AirBnB experience.

Gary is very accommodating person. He picked me up from an arranged location and was quite responsive throughout my stay. The room is like described, in fact it felt a bit better than how it looked in the picture, but what you see what you get. Everything in the house was well organised, clean tidy almost all the time, including shared kitchen / bathroom. Neighbourhood is very quiet and peaceful, not much traffic., close to Mount Douglas Park, which is a good place to walk from here. Two busses goes to downtown in around 30 min fairly frequently until late hours. Very fast WIFI, Netflix, cable, large smart TV just as described, well almost full-package :)

Gary went above and beyond my expectations. Super helpful and kind. The place is exactly as stated, his info on commuting was exact and I found going downtown was a breeze.
