This place is amazing and very unique. It is big and comfortable and close to great places to visit in the area. Even in winter it was good in terms of temperature and if needed, there are several heaters and a fire place. Definitely recommend it!

We loved our stay in the casa. It was very cozy and comfortable!

If you’re looking for an authentic Ticino grotto, look no further! Laura’s place will take you back in time without sacrificing modern day necessities. The home is quite spacious and perfect for entertaining. But if quiet time is what you’re after, there are many nooks to curl up with a book, and a TV den perfect for a movie night. Since we booked over Christmas, we were pleasantly surprised to find a decorated tree and faux fireplace heater upon our arrival. So thoughtful. And although it kept us nice and toasty, do know that the floors are stone, so I recommend bringing your house slippers. Oh and do walk down to the little village. There is the cutest restaurant bar that stays open until 1am! Very friendly staff. Try the tiramisu. Enjoy!

It was an excellent 4 night stay for a holiday in Ticino. Small house very nice, well equipped and with a beautiful pergola. 10 minutes walk to Tenero train station. Pedestrian ferry to Locarno right next door, within walking distance. Grocery store and other services nearby. Thank you very much !

We stayed 3 nights in Rosemary's apartment and it was great. The apartment is independent, right in front of their house, and has a small private terrace and a parking place right in front. It's small but perfect for two, even with a dog, and very clean. There was a coffee machine with capsules and samples of products in the bathroom. Remote location of Locarno and restaurants to go on foot, but only a few minutes drive and less than twenty minutes by bike. Perfect for visiting Val Verzasca! The couple of owners is really very kind and available at all times. They even lent us their bike with the cart behind for the dog :) We highly recommend! :-)

Perfect location to be quiet but at the same time close to major cities by train and Val Verzasca by bus, but also close to the path that leads to Locarno on foot and runs along the lake. The hosts are very friendly, I can only recommend this accommodation to others who wish to discover Ticino!

Nicole was a great host . She made our honeymoon so special that it made difficult for us to leave her beautiful house Picture perfect lake and snow capped mountains were a breathtaking views from our room. The sauna was great and so was the pool We had a lovely time at her house. Looking forward to staying at her place in future

With the good description of the accommodation, the arrival was a breeze. The surroundings and the garden are beautiful. The dining room with pool, sauna and fireplace is a dream. Nicole received us very friendly. In the evening, she prepared a bundle of firewood for the fireplace in the fireplace. We had a Nespresso machine in the room with coffee capsules, tea, sugar, coffee cream and chocolate. A little tableware and glasses for 2 people and a small fridge with 2 bottles of mineral water completed the furnishings. WiFi was also available. Bathrobes and enough terry towels were ready for us and also aromatic oil for the sauna, shower products and shampoos for the shower. A parking space directly in front of the entrance was available. We enjoyed the weekend with Nicole and can highly recommend the accommodation.

This is quite a unique space. It is a basically stand alone guest area with a bedroom, bathroom and a very large sauna and pool. The pool and chimney aren't totally covered off from the rest of the house (the wall is glass), but it still felt very private. There is a beautiful view of the mountains in a lovely part of the country. It was too cold for the pool but the sauna was fantastic. You really need a car in this area, but when you do it is well located. There are a few restaurants that are walkable from the property.

Nicole's accommodation is really a small luxury oasis! Perfectly located - close to the lake and on the slope with a fantastic panoramic view of the surrounding mountains! In the private sauna you can relax and unwind in the evenings by the large fireplace next to the pool. Nicole and her husband are very hospitable and uncomplicated! We will be back definitely :)

The place is amazing! The view is breathtaking and the house is very clean and comfy (better than it is in photos). We loved the contrast made between palm trees and the mountains covered by snow. Definetely we’ll come back when we’ll visit Switzerland.

Great villa, an hour dive to some ski sites or to some mountains around, some minuts drive from the lake. some nice resrorants are near by. Comferable living room with a large screen TV, nice fire place and fully equiped kitchen. The heating is not visable but very effective. Highly recomended.

Although we did not meet Laura in person, everything was arranged very clearly for the check-in and she did respond very quickly to my messages. Due to the description we have already presented a very nice Rustico. However, when we arrived there, we were amazed. The Rustico is a small paradise and very lovingly furnished with great attention to detail. The Collina is a place to be simple and comfortable. The wonderful view and the location in the middle of the vineyard do the rest. We were allowed to spend wonderful days here and the communication with the hosts was very friendly.

We really enjoyed our holiday in the cottage of Brigitte! The "Collina" is beautifully located a bit higher in the Verzasca Valley and has a very cozy interior and a great garden where we spent a quiet and relaxing week. The accommodation offers everything you need during the holidays and is fully equipped. The contact with Brigitte we have experienced as very friendly and accommodating. We'll be back!

David is a very friendly, open person who takes great care of his guests and likes to be in touch. His house is small but nice and there is only beautiful mountain scenery around it. Also close to Locarno and Ascona, or to Lake Maggiore. On foot, by bus or by car. Highly recommended!!

We loved this cottage ideally located 10 minutes from Locarno, surrounded by vineyards. It is charming, warm and beautifully renovated. The view from the bedroom is very romantic :) Mauro is a great host with whom communication is pleasant and easy.

The Rustico is located in the middle of a wine-growing region and offers a breathtaking view of Lake Maggiore. The communication with Mauro was uncomplicated and very friendly. He provided us with all the important details and gave us great tips by mail. The Rustico is very well equipped and has everything to start a relaxing holiday.

We had a fantastic stay at cottage Cafonso. It is located close to Locarno and Ascona (15-20 minutes) and beside the road to go to Valle Verdasco. The difficulty comes from the parking, but follow Mauro’s instructions and it will be fine! The cottage is 200 y.o., but indoor is very modern, mixing original charm not to be touched and indoor area very modern and functional. In case of any questions, Mauro is reachable on phone anytime (sms, WhatsApp...) and therefore very reactive, no trouble to be expected. We’ll come back there I hope!

Practical and well located accommodation. You immediately feel at home. On December 6th, St. Nicholas came in the form of an invitation to mulled wine and home-baked Grittibanzen to enjoy with an open fire in the courtyard. Very atmospheric with informal conversations, moonlight and cold.

Ideal location to visit the Maggia Valley and Verzasca as well as Locarno.

This accommodation is perfect for one to two people. The location is ideal for guests without a car, because the apartment is very close to the train station, bus stops and shopping. Despite the central location, it is very quiet. The kitchen is perfectly decorated and all the essentials for cooking are available in good quality. The patio is very cozy and the natural and wild romantic garden is a real oasis of well-being. We recommend this property and will come back safely.

We can only recommend this place. It has everything you need, spacious, bright, with a nice balcony and a beautiful view of the mountains and lake. Laura’s place is absolutely amazing. Upon seeing the photos, of course we were excited for our stay. However, they do no justice to how beautiful it really is. The place sits on a ridge overlooking everything, so the views are unreal. Not only that, the rooms and details of the house are some of the best I’ve seen. To top it off, Laura was always very polite and quick to respond to anything we needed. If you’re going to stay in this area, this has to be one of the best options around. Thank you again, Laura!

The pictures don’t do service for this amazing home - views are breath taking and the amenities were beyond what you expect. Very comfortable and welcoming - we were greeted with lots of plants and holiday touches that make the space warm and inviting. Laura was very responsive and accommodating. For travelers not familiar with the area from Locarno Station try and take bus 312 which will take you up the steep hills nearly directly to the home, Brione s. Munusio, B Val Resa. Bus 2 is also available but you’ll have to get off at Brione S. Munusio, Chiesa and walk up the hill. Highly recommend you download both SBB Mobile app and Rome2Rio. This is a must : walk down the hill from the house and eat at Osteria Piccola Posta - you’ll be greeted by Beatrice with a glass of wine and lays potato chips. All are welcomed to us ! They have amazing stroganoff, fondu and pesto gnocchi - don’t forget the grape sorbet. A trip worth repeating !!!

The structure is not very recent, but nothing is missing in the room. It is comfortable and well kept. The entrance coincides with the entrance of the hotel (it is not specified): if you follow street number 1 of the street indicated as the address, you will reach a door whose access is allowed only to customers with the key and at night time. Recommended.

At the accommodation of Daniela everything is available what you need. The view from the terrace on Lake Maggiore was just great and nice.

Beautiful apartment with a phenomenal view and a beautifully maintained garden. Since the garden is fenced, it is also great for small children and for dogs. Daniela always answered very quickly and was extremely attentive (high chair was on our arrival in the apartment). She informed us well in advance about the most important thing, so that everything was found and worked well. In addition, in the apartment is a folder with ideas for trips ready, just great. The check-in and the check-out are super uncomplicated. The apartment is equipped with everything you need and furnished with attention to detail. There was nothing wrong with us. We are happy to recommend this accommodation and will certainly come back!

The stay at Daniela was just wonderful! That was the best Airbnb I have ever visited. There is nothing missing and the view is indescribable. To eat there on the terrace or simply lie down is the absolute non plus ultra. The communication with Daniela was also wonderful and I would have liked to meet her personally. It is all about a super nice and practical apartment with everything you need after an intense day at the festival in Locarno or after a hiking trip.

We can warmly recommend place and hospitality. We hiked several times from the village in the area. That was really nice. It would also be possible to travel by public transport. From the station Tenero it is uphill about 25 minutes to the house. Tenero also has a public beach and good shopping.

It was great to stay there. Fantastic view. Very clean and proper. Very friendly host. Answers were accurate and immediately. We will definitely come back if possible.

Phenomenal view that cannot be described. Lovely interior with a nice Layout. Would recommend going by car though, as the walk from most public transport is quite steep and tiring.

Graziano’s place was wonderful. It is tucked away in the quiet and peaceful town of Gordola with a fantastic view! Such a beautiful town! You won’t be disappointed in his apartment which is so spacious, clean, and full of special touches. Graziano provided pasta and pasta sauce for us! He is a charming man who will show you every detail as you check in. Definitely will stay here again!

Casa Rossa is located in a beautiful and clean neighborhood that is very close to a train station and a commercial center. It was really easy to find. The apartment was really cute and comfortable and was equipped with anything you could possibly need. Esther was extremely kind and helpful. The whole experience was lovely. I would definitely try to book this apartment again.

The proximity to the train station (good connection to Bellinzona and Locarno) and also to various shopping possibilities came to us very much as travelers without a car. The Grottino is very stylish, spotless and very well equipped. We immediately felt at home. The location is perfect for exploring the Locarno region both by car and by public transport. In addition, a cycle path leads along the lake to the center of Locarno. We met Esther as a very friendly hostess who also likes to give one or the other tip. We will definitely be back.

5* Look no further, this is the BEST place to stay in Ticno. Perfectly located for visiting all of the local attractions. Bellinzona, Locarno, lugano and Valle verzasca are all near by and easily accessible by public transport or a short drive. My room was very clean, spacious, presented to a very high standard and had an amazing view of the lake and surrounding mountains. There is also a very nice communal area/bar great for relaxing or getting some work done Andrei and his family were exceptional hosts, did everything they could to make my stay as nice as possible. Truely unbelievable value for money and one of the nicest places I've stayed. 10/10 would recommend.

Great value for the price and very clean

The flat is small and basic, but has all the amenities needed: a sofa bed, fairly well equipped kitchen with a table, a bathroom with a shower, little balcony. No Wifi and no TV, however. Located at the little Piazza del Solduno with a bakery next door. Very close to the station of the train line Domodossola–Locarno (4 min. walking), the train taking you in 5 Minutes to the main train station in Locarno. Walking distance to the Locarno upper old town: 15 minutes, to the Piazza Grande: approx. 18–20 minutes. Di as a host has been very kind and very helpful. She provided me with advice for good cafés (with Wifi) in Locarno. If you don’t mind the short walk to Locarno, I can only recommend the flat and Dina as a host.

The apartment was between the Verzasca Dam and the city of Gordola which was fantastic! You could walk to both places! It was very clean! Had a fantastic view out the balcony! Check-in with the lockbox was fantastic! The host was very good at communicating! The only downfall was you either had to pay for sheets or bring your own! Other than that I would highly recommend!

The accommodation was a great experience overall! There is a bus in the vicinity that goes to Locarno and other convenient places, the view on the lake is absolutely stunning, the facilities are great and there is a lot of space to just sit down and enjoy such a beautiful part of Switzerland!

A very well equipped comfortable apartment with a unique view of Lake Maggiore. The bus, which can be reached in two minutes, goes both to Locarno and in the opposite direction in the enchanting Verzasca Valley. We felt very comfortable and like to come back! Thanks to Erich and Sandra Gisler!

Erich's apartment has most wonderful views on the lake and surroundings. It was also sparkling clean and with a key in the check-in box, getting to the apartment was very convenient. It easily accommodated our family of 4 and our pet Welsh terrier. We did travel with car, so for us it was OK to take our bed linen and towels with us, otherwise they would have come with a fee. The parking was in the street on first come first served basis, but we did get a stop every night. We had great time!

We only stayed one night but it was lovely! The other guests were friendly, the grounds are nice, the room was clean and they have hammocks outside each room to lounge in! They have AC and it worked wonderfully and was a must while we stayed. Gregor is super friendly and full of helpful information regarding the area - directions, suggestions on what to see, amd he has reference material to provide you. Overall it was absolutely wonderful and we only stayed one night wish it was more but I would and will stay there again in the future!

Quiet place despite the nearby road, tip-top cottage and excellent meals. Train and bus nearby so convenient if you have no car to visit Locarno, Ascona and do some excursions. Staff caring.

The advertisement can show little of what can really be experienced. It starts with the welcome in absolute friendliness, goes to the more than complete equipment both in the kitchen as in the bathroom and the forecourt, the absolute cleanliness, the love for the details, the practicality and the location (sun from morning to evening (September) ! Price and performance are in perfect harmony! A bijou in the adventure area :-)

Astrid's apartment is perfect for a holiday on Lake Maggiore or Ticino. The apartment was super clean and is equipped with everything you could ask for. Highlight is definitely the terrace overlooking Lake Maggiore. It is super quiet and you can relax wonderfully. The only drawback was the bed, as it squeaked with every little movement ... The apartment is located above Locarno, but there are about every hour down buses, so you do not have to move the car necessarily. Of course, anyone who has leisure time can also walk - there are many small stairs so that you do not have to take every curve (like driving). There are a handful of restaurants in about 10 minutes walk - we have not tried this, however, since Astrid's kitchen is perfectly equipped and the Swiss prices are not without. Otherwise, the location is ideal for excursions to the Diga di Verzasca dam, the Verzasca Valley, the Monti di Lego, the Maggia Valley (eg with the (e-) mountain bike) and much more. All in all a clear recommendation! We felt very comfortable!

The studio of Astrid and Lazlo is wonderfully quiet. The location is perfect for trips to the Maggia Valley or the Verzasca Valley and Locarno is even within walking distance. And if it rains, a movie about Netflix can be watched. For us the perfect vacation!

Beautiful clean accommodation perfect for relaxing Warm hosts with many good tips

The pretty apartment is located just above Locarno and we could enjoy the magnificent, flower-covered terrace overlooking Lake Maggiore every day. The communication in advance was uncomplicated, the apartment itself very functional and tastefully decorated. For 2 people and a week holiday was enough space. We really enjoyed the week there and got to know the hostess personally. She helped us with questions and problems helpful. Thank you very much!

The studio is lovingly and comfortably furnished. Everything is available and very clean. The terrace / garden is cozy and offers a wonderful view of Locarno, the lake and the mountains. Astrid is a very nice and warm hostess. We will be back.

We went to Danielas' place for about a week and just had an amazing time. Her lovely Grandma, who lives above the apartment was super friendly, helpful and thoughtful. She explained us everything and shared the story about the place and herself with us. The apartment is beautiful and has everything one needs to have a great holiday. The location is outstanding. You open the door of the apartment and have one of the most amazing views in town. You overlook Lago di Garda and the small town Minusio. You can even see until the Italian border. Overall I would highly recommend this place to everyone who is looking for beautiful days in Ticino. Thanks again for everything!

Large rooms, great terrace, sensational views

We were allowed to spend a great and beautiful holiday week in this accommodation which we will never forget. The elevated position with this fantastic view of the lake and mountains is overwhelming. The grandparents of Daniela the host, also live in the house and we have got to know them as very nice and courteous people. For family reasons we could only stay for a week. With another vacation, we will certainly spend a longer time here. Everything is available in the household, everything! There is nothing missing. Everything is clean and well maintained. The beautiful view over the Lago Maggiore with garden and seating as well as the warmth of the hostess were certainly the highlight of our stay in this accommodation. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and the decor lacked nothing. The location is ideal for various destinations.
