  • Fun stay on the farm

  • A great place to stay on our ski trip. Nate was always available, and the farm is a beautiful piece of land to get away for a couple nights.

  • Wow - I had the whole house to myself. Super-friendly cats, cool ranch house vibe, and my room was comfy. You can't get that at a hotel! I plan on staying there (if available) next time I'm in the area!

    Bryce2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Close to the east side of Mount Rainier is what first attracted us to The Lathrop Family's place. The nostalgic decor, the knotty pine walls and ceilings, and warm welcome by Nate and Elisabeth is what would cause us to return if we are in the area again. And yes, we were fortunate to be able to see Nate's newest farm animal at the time, a four-day-old calf. It was our first time at an Air B&B that did not have a private entrance, and it was a positive experience. We enjoyed meeting and visiting with the other Air B&B guest.

  • Farmer Nate is a super nice guy. Offered suggestions for some local food and was very welcoming. We got to meet some of the household pets and they were very friendly and welcoming.

    Justin2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Nate is an amazing host. The house was very clean, the room spacious and toilet inside the room. We arrived fairly late however he still made us tea. Perfect place to stop. The sky is amazing at night. Wish we stayed longer to check out the farm and welcome Kobe(calf) to this world. Highly recommend staying here.

  • What a great place to stay- a ranch run by a friendly and helpful family and just outside Mt Rainier National Park. We arrived after hiking the beautiful Naches Peak Trail, and Nick recommended a great restaurant where I was able to get GF options. We will definitely stay here again should we need a place on the East Side of Mt Rainier!!!

    Bella2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing people!! They are both very warm and welcoming, and their cats and dogs are super sweet! Farmer Nate showed my husband and I around the farm and introduced us to the animals. We had a very lovely experience, and will definitely be going back

  • We had a lovely stay at the cabin! It had everything we wanted and was a nice break from reality with no WiFi and minimal cell service. There were plenty of utensils for cooking and we especially enjoyed the fire pit and waking up to the the view from the upstairs room. And dog-friendly is always a plus!

    Garrett2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful getaway in this cute little cabin. It was clean and cozy. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed the fire pit outside in the evenings.

  • This space is phenomenal, highly recommended! Very close to White Pass making it a great home base for a ski trip, plenty of space with an open floor plan inside, and a killer backyard with a firepit and Hot tub (that stays nice and toasty). Vince was very responsive and all details surrounding the stay were thought out and communicated clearly. Remember to bring charcoal if you are going to grill. Will definitely be staying here again!!

Little Owl is your Pacific Northwest cabin fantasy. 20 minutes from Mt. Rainier National Park, White Pass Ski Area, and some of the most breathtaking hiking on the West Coast. Amenities include a cedar soaking hot tub, WiFi, Weber gas grill, top notch cookware, hi-fi sound system, deck and balcony. We're just 2.5 scenic hrs from Seattle and Portland, and we're dog-friendly. Find us on Instagram @littleowlcabin, and click on our profile to check out our other three Rainier cabins.
Our cabin is immediately adjacent to National Forest land, and just yards from Coal Creek. We're 5 miles from the entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park. There are two twin beds on a platform upstairs that can be pushed together to form a nearly seamless king, or separated for single sleepers. Downstairs, we have a bunked twin above a queen, and a comfortable day bed in the living room. You're also welcome to camp on the deck. There's a half bathroom in the loft and a full bathroom downstairs. Our kitchen is fully appointed: Appliances, pots, pans, utensils, coffeemakers (drip and french press), milk frother, kettle and burr grinder. We also have a gas grill on the deck. In the winter, you're welcome to use our wood stove.
Our cabin has an off-the-grid feel, but with all the on-the-grid amenities. We're in a vacation home community, but we have plenty of privacy, and our deck and hot tub back up to National Forest land. Exceptional hiking, skiing and wineries are all within 15 mins to 1.5 hours by car. Some of our guests express surprise or mild disappointment about our proximity to neighbors. We're not off-the-grid. We like our cabin for the fact that it offers the best features of grid and off-grid life: It's adjacent to forever wild National Forest, but near enough to the grid to have zippy broadband Internet, flush toilets, and adequate electric service to heat a hot tub, power a range, etc. That said, if you're looking for a truly remote, fully isolated cabin, this probably isn't your place.
  • Amazing stay!! My wife and I loved our stay here! There were so many fun and unique things all around that made the place so neat and memorable. We loved seeing the porch lights when we walked up to the door! The hot tub is SO COOL! Being in the tub during the night and during the day getting to hearing the sound of the close by stream was magical! Our hosts communication was fast and very hospitable they were great:) Our only thing was that the master bed upstairs was a little hard and was actually two twin beds put together. But it didn’t make it unbearable to sleep in, just a little uncomfortable at times. Everything else was amazing 😊

    Gaines2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved our stay at Little Owl. The cabin was beautiful and loved the interior decor. The backyard was beautiful and even though this cabin does have houses on either side, it felt very cozy and fairly secluded and none of the neighbors were around during our stay. Packwood is nearby with a grocery store and there is also a local brewery that is worth checking out. Plenty of nature around to explore. Loved this place and hope to come back in the future!

    Gabriella2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved our visit to Little Owl Cabin! The property, cabin interior and overall atmosphere was a cozy, get-a-way dream! The cabin was warm, inviting, clean, and offered practically every amenity you might need for the perfect cabin retreat! Great location close to White Pass and other recreational areas. We especially loved the cedar soaking tub, both quaint and relaxing! Loved our stay and wish it could have been longer! Looking forward to a future visit!

  • This house is absolutely magical, it's like something out of a fairy tale. We had a blast exploring the area, especially Mt Rainier Ntl Park, and it was a beautiful and relaxing space to have as a home base. 10/10 experience, definitely worthwhile!

  • Great stay! Highly recommend.

  • This cabin is straight out of a magazine. We loved walking around and admiring the thoughtful details. It was the perfect place to propose (she said yes!) and the ultimate retreat away from the city. The hot tub was a dream. You are truly surrounded by nature and I’m writing this review feeling relaxed and refreshed. If you’re on the fence, just book it! You won’t be disappointed. Thank you Ryan!

Close to Mount Rainier National Park, wine country and multiple hunting units, this Bunkhouse is perfect. Great for the weekend hiker, hunters or a place to sit back and relax. Deer and elk visit on a regular basis. This Bunkhouse is decorated with a rustic charm but with the amenities of home.
The Bunkhouse is located on just over an acre in the Nile Loop area off of Chinook Pass. Close to hunting GMU's 340, 342, 346, 352 and 360. Wine country is just a quick jaunt down the road along with some great breweries. The space includes a twin over full bunk bed and a pull out futon couch. A mini kitchen includes a microwave, sink, small refrigerator, coffee maker, dishes and utensils. A patio table with 4 comfortable chairs are on the deck for your morning coffee or use the on-site gas bbq for a delicious dinner.
We have lived here for 15 year's. It is very quiet and removed from the hustle bustle of the city. We can sit on our patio and bar-b- que. Enjoy the wildlife that show up quite often. In the winter after 1st snow it is absolutely beautiful. You can lay in bed at night and hear the river right behind us. The scenery hear is 2nd to none. We have very friendly neighbor's and being a small area everyone help's each other. Being retired my wife and i love it and enjoy sharing it with other's thru the airbnb Bunkhouse.
  • This was our second stay at the Bunkhouse. Just as it was for our first visit, we truly enjoyed the bunkhouse and Raymond’s hospitality! We will be staying again soon!

  • Couldn't have picked a better place to stay during hunting trip , relax , unwind , a family trip , or just a romantic getaway. This place is wonderful . My husband and I travel the country as we are truck drivers and this is definitely in the top 5 we will always come back here. Had the best time . The hosts were amazing , and the special personal touches were so nice . I'd recommend this place hands down. And the fire area was so perfect. I'm not sure there wasn't anything perfect about our stay.

    Jason Sandy2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • So nice and inviting took the time to sit by the fire and visit with us gave us lots of tips to places to see was amazing trails to walk along and follow the river would come again

    Hollie2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Ray and Marge were delightful hosts in a stunning setting! He made a cozy, inviting fire in the spacious backyard, and he and Marge shared a few of their stories with me. It's great to meet such lovely older people who have knowledge and wisdom to share! The bunkhouse was clean and cozy with a very comfortable bed. My only suggestion for improvement is that they have a sharp kitchen knife handy - I couldn't find one when I went to slice some lemon for my water, but perhaps I simply overlooked it!

    Mara2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely experience

    Alie2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • The Bunkhouse is so very much more than what you would expect from what you read. The location is spectacular with the wind blowing in the trees, the privacy, listening to the river as you fall asleep and most importantly, the hosts. Raymond and Margie went over and above all expectations in every area of our stay. They fulfilled or did their very best to accommodate every request we had and because of our situation there were many. I highly recommend this property for any visit to the Yakima Valley. It's not far from town but a world away at the same time. If you're planning a trip to the Valley forgo the stuffy hotel and get a hold of Ray. You won't find this comfort, peace or setting at three times the price.

  • Great place to stay!!

    Bobbie2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place. My sister and I stayed here for a show at the Gorge, and while it’s a bit of a drive, it’s also perfectly located to drive up into the cascades. Raymond met us in the morning as we were leaving, he’s great. Accommodations were as described, shower and bathroom were spotless. AC worked well.

  • We had a great trip to Packwood for the White Pass winter carnival. Our family loved the cabin and the two separate buildings provided a feeling of some extra space in this quaint cabin. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with some coffee and seasonings for easy cooking.

Our cozy A-Frame guest house is perfect for a couple or family with 2 small children. This is a strict limit for your comfort. It's like a "tiny" house you see on TV. Come enjoy all that nature has to offer in a fairy tale setting. Hike, bike, swim, fish, hunt, ski, etc. One of our recent guests said it felt like she was in a fairy tale. Enjoy your private quaint cabin with all you need, queen bed on main floor and two twins in loft. Large outside deck to relax and have your morning coffee or enjoy the birds and trees. Kitchenette includes refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave, crock pot, coffee maker, electric kettle, hot plate, pots & pans, all dishes, utensils, etc. Small propane grill on deck during summer. The bathroom has a stall shower (no tub). Please be aware that there is no "stove" or oven for cooking. Wood stove with plenty of firewood for those chilly nights. Just steps from Coal Creek and the Cowlitz River. Come join us in the shadow of Mt. Rainier and the great northwest. White Pass Ski area is a short 16 miles (about 20 mins.) Mt Rainier National Park is 4 miles away, (our nearest entrance, Stevens Canyon, is closed for the winter.) During the winter the park can be accessed from the Longmire entrance. (About a 45 minute drive.) Located in a residential neighborhood of vacation cabins. If you have small children please be aware that the stairs to the loft are very steep. Some guests have said they were surprised at the proximity to the main house. The A-frame is our fully self contained guest house and is about 50 feet from our house. We are very quiet and won't bother you. You will have complete privacy unless you want to interact. We are a couple in our 60's with a few pets, along with the wildlife. We are close by in the main house and are happy to help you with information about the area. If you need anything, just ring the bell. Local restaurants and shops are just 4 miles away in the town of Packwood.

  • Great place to stay while you shred white pass.

  • Great place to stay!

    Heather2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent, quiet, efficient, clean, overnight lodging. Up to the White Pass ski area in 20 minutes! Two bundles of wood per night in the wood burning stove from the local market (or bring your own) make for a warm cozy evening and night!

    Sheryl2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great locational stay when going to White Pass Ski resort while still close to Packwood for dinner. The place was immaculate and the fireplace was enjoyable to come back to following a day on the mountain. Definitely will keep in mind when going back to ski or during the summer for hiking in the mountains around Rainer.

    Sarah2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Got just what we expected and enjoyed our stay. Didn't feel too cramped, and was perfect for what we needed. Only 20 minutes from white pass.

    Jacob2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I came up for our two year anniversary from Portland and this place was the perfect get away! I’ve always dreamt of staying in a little A frame in the forest and this place really took the cake. All the information in the description is up to date, no surprises. Yes this is close to the main house but when you’re in the cabin you would have no clue. We brought ingredients for chili in the crock pot which was a great little trick for having dinner ready when getting home from exploring the area and you don’t have to worry about not having a “full” kitchen setup. We stayed in the middle of a big snow storm and the heat was perfect no complaints, even warmer with a cozy fire on.

  • Darlene’s cabin was just what we wanted for a nice cozy winter stay close to White Pass. Check in was very easy, and the amenities are just as described. Would definitely stay again if I’m on a trip with 1-2 other people.

  • We chose this place for are Christmas vacation. Felt wonderful to be cuddled up with my husband and daughter in front of the cast iron stove ( Which are amazing for heating up the whole place.)! My 4 yr old was so happy to be there in the cabin. It was just 20 minutes away from White Pass where we went tobogganing. Didn't have to spend any time digging are car out of snow or putting on tire chains. US 12 was well maintenance. I definitely recommend having a map of the area my cell had no reception on the road. This place made my Christmas feel enchanted! I plan on coming again to see what it's like in the summer.

We welcome you to Red Moose Cabin, our home away from home. We are glad to share our cozy, rustic cabin on Coal Creek that has brought us solitude and tranquility as well as easy access to Mt. Rainier, the Gifford-Pinchot Forest, White Pass and Packwood. The cabin comfortably sleeps 7 with three bedrooms and 1.5 bath. We welcome you to the warmth of our home and invite you to enjoy the sound of Coal Creek and the quiet of life unplugged. All are welcome.
Welcome to Red Moose! This cozy, rustic cabin has been our home away from home for decades now. A peaceful place by the creek which soothes you each night you get to sleep here. It is our little A-frame tucked on Coal Creek, nestled in trees among our neighbors. The best of both worlds--solitude in the Timberline Community. Come to unwind, unplug and retreat for awhile. Just steps away from the Gifford-Pinchot forest, a 10 minute drive from the Steven's Canyon entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park and a 15 minute drive to White Pass; all of your adventures are practically waiting at your doorstep. And if the solitude is too much, take a break in Packwood at the Coffee Shop, Brewery or Restaurants. Or stock up on your groceries. Packwood is a seven minute drive away. When you stay at Red Moose you have four balconies and three bedrooms from which to choose. Two balconies overlook the creek. The others face the afternoon sun breaking through the trees and clouds. In the winter, the warmth of the fire brings even greater coziness. Sadly, because of allergies we cannot welcome pets. Check in time is 3 p.m. Check out is 11 a.m.
We are situated on a quiet little street in the Timberline Community. Some residents are year-round. Other neighbors are here for skiing or hiking.
  • Dotti’s place is serene and perfect! We loved cooking in their fully stocked kitchen. It had all of the essentials and then some! We all slept peacefully listening to the sound of the river. High light of the trip were long conversations by the fireplace. Lots of wood and kindling to easily start a fire and keep it going long into the night. Can’t wait to book for our next ski weekend!

    Genevieve2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • We very much enjoyed our stay. The location was beautiful and a quick trip to White Pass. The cabin was very comfortable, but also a true “cabin”, which was my hope. We like to cook and weren’t lacking for anything in the kitchen. Appreciated Dotti’s awesome communication. We look forward to visiting again soon.

    Sarah2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Red Moose cabin was the perfect family winter break get away. Loved the character and atmosphere of the cabin, location on the creek and close proximity to White Pass. Dotti was a wonderful hostess!

    Renee2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay during our extended Christmas holiday. Location is fantastic affording easy access to White Pass skiing, local hiking and the super town of Packwood. Plenty of space for us and our adult children, very clean and warm with a well appointed kitchen. Charming cabin directly in view of Coal Creek with it's soothing sounds and visual beauty. Dotti and Michael communicated with us very promptly and left very clear instructions for use of their home. They prepared a very concise list of hikes and local amenities. If we come back to this area, this will be our go-to home away from home.

    Richard2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Such a wonderful cabin. The creek is wonderful to dip you toes in, and listen to from the deck while you play games! Loved the cabin has some items you hate to buy out for just a couple of days on a trip, like brown sugar for oatmeal! Love this cabin and can't wait to go back!.

    Rory2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our stay in this homey cabin! We were a bit surprised to find that only two of the three bedrooms had doors (the big room upstairs with the king bed is open to the staircase), but it still worked out well for us. The kitchen was very well stocked, the location was very convenient for our daily drives to Mt Rainier, and the relaxing water sounds from the creek out back were so wonderful and hard to leave.

    Amy2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Loved having my coffee on the back deck watching the river.

    Stephanie2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so much Dotti for all you did to make this a wonderful stay for my sister and I! We had a wonderful week in your cabin- it had everything we needed- ample space, deck, location near the creek and Mount Rainer, comfortable mattresses, fantastic local tips, stocked kitchen AND amazingly delicious moose cookies! That breakfast pastry was also delicious!!! Thank you!!! We would love to stay again on our trip back to Mount Rainier!

Welcome to Our Mountain Home: the perfect space for a family get-together, a romantic get-away, a reunion of friends, and everything in between. It offers bright vaulted ceilings, a fully stocked kitchen, a wood burning stove (also central heat and AC), a well-maintained hot tub and gorgeously landscaped grounds. Just minutes from Packwood town center, it is an ideal gateway to the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Mount Rainier National Park and White Pass Ski Area. We can't wait to host you!
*** 50% off nightly rate for month long stays! *** While the inside space and hot tub will make you feel right at home, the outside space is magical. Please plan to spend some time enjoying the sights and sounds of nature from the beautiful covered patio, build a fire in the pit with provided wood, and pause. Our neighborhood is very quiet and nestled in the forest in the upper Timberline neighborhood. Elk are the most frequent visitors. From the house there are quiet gravel roads that can be walked. The town of Packwood is very sweet with 300 year-round residents. It is about 5 minutes west on Hwy 12 and has a quaint food market, liquor store, a few artisan shops, a coffee shop, a brewery, a tavern, and a restaurant or two. We always recommend doing big shopping before you arrive. White Pass is about 20 minutes east for your winter fun.
It is very peaceful here. The small close knit community is so kind and used to many visitors.
  • We had such a wonderful getaway at Caitlin’s place. We grilled at one of two grills both nights, took advantage of the hot tub after skiing at White Pass which is extremely convenient to access. We were able to have fires both inside and outside. The two bedrooms were comfortable and the bottle of wine was a thoughtful touch. Caitlin made check in a breeze and was in constant communication beforehand and was available during our stay. I couldn’t ask for anything else. We were sad to leave. Will definitely look this place up the next time I’m in the area. Thank you so much Caitlin!

  • Pictures do not do this home justice! It was more beautiful and tastefully decorated. Very comfortable, clean and well stocked with games, books, towels and kitchen wares. The hot tub was very clean and was wonderful to soak in after being on the slopes all day. The welcome wine was a nice touch and delicious as well!

    Tara2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great trip to White Pass and Packwood. The house was great and coming home to the hot tub after a day on the mountain was really nice. We didn’t use it a ton because of the weather but the outdoor space was really cool.

    Crystal2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable cabin. We meant to ski three days, but one of our kids was sick. The cabin was a great place to recuperate. Great pool table. WiFi is limited and phone reception is indeed very poor, so be aware of that. However, being a little cut off is not such a bad thing. White Pass skiing was fantastic and uncrowded when we finally made it!

    Julia2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Loved everything about your cabin! Cannot believe the stash of DVDs that you entrust to your guests. Love the feel of the beds and linens. Loved how many utensils you had and dishes and pots and pans. We watched one movie but spent most all of our time in the Rec room with the pool table, dartboard, and Foos table. We had such a memorable night! Loved the real fire and mints on all the pillows. The bathrooms are modern inside a log cabin. Loved everything! Even the restaurant owner across the street came and delivered mountain dews to us personally when I called to see how late he was open he didn’t know how late he was going to stay open so he brought over mountain dews unannounced. How thoughtful! What an amazing experience! Thank you for trusting us!

Float, fish, play on the Cowlitz. 25 minutes to skiing at White Pass, 4 miles to Mt. Rainier, swing on the chair lifts on our deck. Build a fire in the pit on the river, BBQ on the deck, heat lamp for warmth in the winter.
Huge deck with cedar swing overlooking the river, great for coffee in the morning. Our grandkids enjoy the ski lift swing, one of the original chair lifts at White Pass, made into hours of fun for the kids. There is a loft bunk with full size bottom bunk and twin top for kids.
We live in a community called Timberline, it is only 4 miles from Mt. Rainier National Park, 1 hour to Paradise and 25 minutes to skiing White Pass. Most of the cabins/chalets are second homes and we are a very close community, watching out for each other and their properties when owners are not in town. There is a tennis court, pickle ball court, basketball and horseshoes within walking distance from the house. The pool and gym are reserved for owners only.
  • All the kitchen appliances you’ll need during your stay. Lots of space, beautiful view of the river and a very comfortable home. Super easy check-in and a nice hot tub!

The cabin is about 20 min drive from the white pass. We skied two days and enjoyed good snow. The owner is very responsive and checkin a few times to make sure we had everything that we needed. I'd recommend you guys to go and have a mountain gateway experience here :).

Our original 1960's A-frame cabin is nestled (a literal stone's-throw) between the Cowlitz River and Coal Creek...surrounded by unobstructed river and mountain views within beautiful National Forest. The feeling of being here can only be understood by experiencing it!
Tranquility awaits at this lands end cabin nestled where National Forest land meets both a river and a creek. Soak in the beauty of nature by our fire pit that overlooks the Cowlitz River. Utilize the cabin's large front and back decks for relaxing, yoga, or even camping. The Cozy River Cabin is pet friendly - just please help your furry friends keep the great outdoors - outdoors...because indoors is cozy and clean, fully furnished and equipped for you to make yourself at home. If you like to cook, the kitchen is stocked with appliances, pots, pans, utensils, a coffee maker, kettle, and more. If you don't like to cook, Packwood offers charming eateries only minutes away. Keeping with an authentic cabin experience, the main heat source is a wood burning fire place - we supply the wood. Everything is set up for an enjoyable evening until you're ready to call it a night. Our neighborhood is predominantly vacation homes nestled in the woods . It is very quiet and it is quite rare to even see neighbors.
  • Cedars place has the best spot on the river, hands down you won’t be disappointed

    Ryan2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy & relaxing cabin! We enjoyed cooking together, playing games at the large table (Cedar had a great selection of games!) and watching movies next to the crackling fire. The beds upstairs were quite comfy as well. Our group of 5 would recommend staying here!

    Jenny2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is the second time staying at Cedar's A frame and it will not be our last. It is always an amazing time here, with the coziness of the cabin and wood burning stove, to the sounds of the river while you sleep. The cabin has all the amenities you'll need to stay put and not have to worry about going out to get more supplies. Cooking supplies are A+ and lounge factor is off the charts. Another thing to note that I hadn't seen in the reviews, I did end up having to work remotely from the cabin for a day or two, and unlike other cabins I've been to where you'll be lucky to even connect your device to the internet, I had no problems connecting and having constant connection. I was even able to have video conferences and use my laptop by the fire pit outside. Thinking about staying here for more than a few days next time!

    Sherry2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, quiet spot on the river. Comfortable for 6 too. We enjoyed cooking meals in the kitchen, had long conversations over the dinner table, and slept soundly. The twinkle lights are the perfect touch to this cozy cabin. Reliable and complete details on arrival and departure - we'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

    JoAnne2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • I honestly don’t have words to express how stunning and picturesque this place is. Picturesque, out of a movie/painting would be the best way to describe it. The cabin is absolutely gorgeous. So cozy! So spaced out. The back deck that leads to the river was my favorite part the river is literally steps from the cabin and not only is it one river but there’s a powerful creek that meets the big river. We had a nice bon Fire and enjoyed the serenity this place offers. Would I recommend this place? 100% can’t wait to come back

    Marcela2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Cute and cozy cabin (just like the pics), beautiful site, and the closest location to white pass in Packwood. Our family loved the hot showers after long days of skiing, home cooked dinners, and playing board games by the fire while the snow fell.

    Lacy2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was AMAZING... too good that I almost don’t want to write a review as I don’t want this cabin to be too popular. Everything was as described, or even better. The cabin had everything we needed. Perfect getaway from a busy/bustling world. Fireplace was very cozy and my boyfriend spent hours engaging with the fireplace. We bought charcoals ($6) at the local supermarket to make BBQ for dinner. Perfect!

  • Scott was great and accommodating. The space was cozy and relaxing and has a great location. Would highly recommend it!

  • Everything was as indicated in the description. One minor thing that didn’t bother me but others may want to be aware of. I’m 5’3, and the mirror in the bathroom was hung high enough in a way that I could barely see my eyes, and is the only mirror in the house. I didn’t need it for much, but if anyone short plans on doing their makeup, make sure you bring your own mirror. Otherwise, everything was great!

  • What a great value. It was the perfect home base for our ski weekend escape. We even made friends in the shared hot tub! I will be returning!

  • Great location right off hwy 12. Key box makes for easy checkin. The cabin was very clean. We only spent one night but we slept great on the comfortable queen bed. The cow cabin is small so it warms up quickly. Didn’t feel cramped though, there were just two of us. The hot tub was a bit cooler than most would expect but we enjoy it that way. We brought our own food but used the microwave, plates, coffee pot and provided coffee. It was overall a very comfortable place to stay for a night.

    Renee2019-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Alpine Annie's Cabin was amazing!! I had high expectations from everything I had seen in the listing, and it more than lived up to the hype. Absolutely beautiful inside and out, a lovely area/neighborhood, and SO close to the national park/forest - it can't be beat. Very stylish space, and very clean/well-maintained. The kitchen had everything you could need, and having use of a washer and dryer was SO helpful. The furniture was all very comfortable, and the wall of windows in the living room is just stunning. The bathroom is a little on the cramped side, but that did not remotely diminish from our perfect stay, nor did the temporary absence of the TV. My only complaint might be the seemingly high nightly rate when including fees, but we were just two people, and since the cabin accommodates up to 6, it's a really great deal for a larger group/family. Still very much worth it, and would HIGHLY recommend this place! Simply wonderful. Would come back in a heartbeat.

  • Bob's place is better than the pictures look! The fireplace is so cozy and the kitchen is a nice size for cooking with the family. It's a wonderful spot to hole up in and enjoy a quiet weekend. There are a lot of things to do at checkout but as long as you're diligent and pay attention to details, it's not a big deal.

  • Great chalet for our trip to Mt Rainier!

    Nikhil2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Much better then I expected! I was worried with the home being so close to the road but it's such a quiet street that it was never an issue. The home is nicely decorated and was very clean! There is very little in the kitchen just some spices so bring everything with you. Deck was a nice way to enjoy coffee in the mornings and stargaze at night. The hardest part was deciding what bedroom to stay in! Host was always quick to respond and very friendly. Very close to entrance of Mt Rainier. Very nice stay and would stay again!

  • Jim's home is sprawling and on a gorgeous piece of land. We had clear skies, brisk weather, with some wind but thoroughly enjoyed spending time on the deck, cooking meals, and spending time with one another. There's countless board games, puzzles, instruments, movies, and other means of entertainment along with a hot tub overlooking the beautiful property. Plenty of room for the whole family. Jim was SUPER communicative and very helpful accommodating us.

    Andrew2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second trip to Jim's place and we had an even better time than before. The home includes tons of fun stuff to keep the kids entertained as well as a huge bonus room downstairs for them to play in while the grown ups hang out upstairs. Everyone really enjoyed the music room and vast selection of movies. We also had a chance to explore the lovely property this time because there wasn't very much snow on the ground. The hot tub is fabulous and the kitchen is FULLY stocked for cooking pretty much anything. I would definitely recommend Jim's place, and I hope we can plan another trip there soon!

    Christina2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing space!! This cabin is great for multiple families or large gatherings. We celebrated my 30th birthday here and everyone had an amazing time! The space is huge and two stories, we had 16 people in our group. The kitchen is well supplied with cooking tools, all you need to bring is the food. Plenty of glasses and dishes to cater to a large group. The hot tub was a great addition and so many spaces for a large group to relax and spread out. Excellent location if you have people traveling in from all over the state, it was the perfect middle ground for West and Eastern Washington to meet. 10 out of 10 would highly recommend, I know my friends and I plan to make this a regular spot for us.

    Erin2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so much again for you hospitality. Staying at hummingbird hill has become a trip we look forward to all year!

    Megan2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Jim’s cabin was a perfect hideaway in the Washington mountains. Gorgeous views! The space was easy to navigate and could definitely accommodate more than the 10 adults we brought along. There were tons of kitchen appliances to use (we appreciated the crock pot), and Jim was very friendly and welcoming about his space. The hot tub was such a luxury during our winter stay. The wraparound deck is also wonderful (I never knew I loved those). Fun touches around the cabin, especially loved the giant wooden mushrooms. :) I definitely recommend this place! Especially if you’re looking to getaway and be remote. (I also recommend the Bron Yr Aur brewery, about 10 minutes away.)

    Gretchen2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful stay. Our family wanted a mountain Christmas experience and that is what we got! Loved the views from the wrap around deck!!! All the wild life and the amount of room. The place felt like a home away from home. The Christmas tree was cut down by permit and local-amazing touch!

    Alisha2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • What a great, secluded home!! Just when you think you musta gone too far, you’re there. Lovely setting in the mountains. My dogs loved all the space and smelling all the smells. Felt like going and staying in my Aunts house.

  • Our family love Hummingbird Hill! We spend an early Christmas there with extended family and we always have a wonderful time. We love how cozy and tucked away it is. We love how the kids have so much space to play and we adore the hot tub! The view is stunning and the house is well equipped. We need for nothing when we stay there! Jim is super easy to work with and responds quickly.

  • This is the second time renting this home and it was just as nice and clean as it was last year. The Christmas tree and special festive lighting and decor really added that extra touch during the holidays. I love all the fun appliances, too, such as the crockpot and easy to use coffee maker. Tons of channels to watch on TV and the fireplace made everything cozy and warm. I'll be back again, thank you!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at hopes cabin! Very cozy, clean, and a great place for us to enjoy family time. The cabin is even cuter than the pictures let on and the trail to the river was perfect after eating way too much cruisers pizza. The only negative was the wifi connection, I work remotely and had to drive into town to get any work done. Other than that, it was the perfect stay!

Our Cabin is in close proximity to The Mount Rainier National Forest and Crystal mountain Ski Resort. The outdoor activities in this area are limitless.
Custom wood craftsmanship with wood stove and hot tub make this a great spot. Comfortable, well appointed and very close to the good stuff.
This is a vacation destination spot for many but we have full time residents as well. The White river, hiking and biking are within walking distance. There is a large herd of Elk that we see most days as well.
  • Beautiful cabin only 25 min to Crystal Mt. The kitchen amenities were fantastic and the hot tub was just what was needed after a full day of skiing!

    Nicholas2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Repeat customers, and great, like before. Love the hot tub and the warm, cozy living spaces.

  • Awesome place! Nicely stocked kitchen and wonderful outdoor living space.

    Eric2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • We were there to ski crystal and the cabin and its location were perfect. There were 5 of us and there was plenty of space. Also, James was incredibly accommodating and quick to respond, which was especially helpful during some inclement weather that rolled through during our stay. Amazing value all around.

    Ian2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • James’s place was the perfect location for a ski weekend at Crystal. The cabin is super cozy with the wood burning stove, it has three comfortable bedrooms, and a well equipped kitchen. The hot tub is a huge plus after the cold day on the slopes! Only downside was the power went out well we were there, but James went out of his way to help us get the generator up and running. Highly recommend!

    Julia2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Jame's place is a great value! Just perfect for a ski weekend getaway. He was very prompt and communicative. 10/10 would recommend.

You’ll love my place near Crystal Mountain & Mount Rainier because this 800 sq ft studio apartment has been recently refreshed throughout. The furniture and decorations offer a comfortable cabin atmosphere. With heated floors and a spacious queen size bed, you will experience a comfortable stay. Guests have access to the full property, including hot tub and outdoor fire pit. The studio apartment sits above the garage, and does require visitors to be able to walk up a flight of stairs.
The studio apartment has recently been refreshed, complete with new appliances and in-floor heat.
The home is located in Crystal River Ranch, a nicely treed neighborhood bordering the middle fork of the White River. There are walking trails throughout the neighborhood, along with forest service roads and hiking trails originating in the neighborhood.

  • This place is perfect for a weekend skiing at Crystal. It is only about 25 minutes from the mountain assuming no traffic. The space was very cozy and the kitchen was well equipped to make simple meals. The heated floors were amazing and the hot tub was perfect after a day of skiing. The space is cozy and perfect for my husband and I. Tim was very quick in his responses regarding our stay and gave us pretty much any information we could have wanted for the perfect stay. Will definitely consider this place again next time we are looking to stay close to Crystal!

    Libby2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Tim’s house is perfect for 2-4 folks. The space was sparkling clean, extremely accurate, and well decorated. The nest temperature gauges made it easy to adjust. And the hot tub was welcome after a day of skiing. Will be back!

(Note: Due to the current shelter in place order, the house is available on a very limited basis with rules and restrictions. We go at lengths to maintain cleaning protocols and spacing between reservations to ensure sanitation. Please inquire for details. Amenities include air conditioning, breakfast bar, outdoor 6-person cedar sauna and soaking tub, wood stove, cable internet, BBQ, games, and a fire pit. Pets accepted on a case by case basis.
Upon arrival at Cabana del Oso (Bear Cabin), you can immediately take to the tranquility of your surroundings--forest and wildlife on three sides of the property and the sound of Coal Creek from the deck. Guests can enjoy the comforts of home--cable internet , Roku 55" flat screen (Netflix and Amazon) and a fully equipped kitchen--down to the paper towels, grill equipment, a sampling of soap and beard oil that is made onsite. To start your day, enjoy a cup of Keurig coffee and cereal at the breakfast bar. Upon return from a hike, ski trip or enjoying Mt. Rainer, guests can relax in an outdoor cedar sauna and hot tub. The house has two fire pits, BBQ, and picnic table. --The house has an internal security camera that can be disconnected upon arrival. The house has an external security camera facing the driveway that remains on 24 hours a day, no exceptions. Guests have complete privacy in other areas of the house and surrounding hot tub and sauna area. ---Weekend rentals between Memorial Day and Labor Day require two days minimum and three day minimum for holiday weekends (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day Weekend). All nationally recognized holidays require a three night minimum unless otherwise authorized by the owner. --During Ski Season Weekends, all guests can check out late on Sundays provided there is no reservation that evening.
Upper Timberline is arguably the nicest area of Packwood--offering a more secluded feel and a stones throw from the Park and skiing. The house is approximately a two minute drive from Highway 12 and is situated at the end of a cul de sac. The house is wooded on three sides so you get the feel as if you're in a forest house.

  • Great stay at Aaron’s place! Very convenient to White Pass for alpine activities. The hot tub and sauna were amazing. Aaron and Sarah were very prompt in any communications and took care of things right away. There was a PUD water issue to the place on Sat night during our stay (not a problem with anything at the cabin) and they were right on top of it calling PUD. Problem was resolved quickly and they followed up the next morning. Would definitely plan another trip here!

PET FRIENDLY HOME. Vinnie's Cozy Cabin is located in the Trails End neighborhood, about 5 min. from Hwy 12 (Packwood proper)- just past High Valley neighborhoods. Just 150 feet away from the house is a private neighborhood park off the Cowlitz River. The house is just shy of 1000 SF, and is a cozy getaway for couples, or a great space for a friends trip. Garage parking available! 240V 50AMP EV charge outlet coming in July.
PLEASE NOTE: Immediately upon entering the house, you will encounter stairs up to the main floor where the kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom and all living space is. Please be aware of these stairs if you have impaired mobility. PLEASE NOTE: There is one bedroom with a king bed, one bedroom with a queen bed and a queen sized sofa bed with two ottomans in the living room that fold out into twin beds. ***The width of the ottoman twin beds is approx 10” less than an actual twin. ***We purchased them online as they were sold as “twin size” but upon delivery we realized they are smaller. These beds are perfect for the kids or a mid-size adult. This is a newly built house, it is very clean and we have an excellent housekeeper. This is a pet-friendly home. If you can’t stand the thought of dogs, please look elsewhere. As of right now, the cabin is just under 1000 SF and has beds for 8 people, although it would most likely get very crowded with 8 people in the home. There is a large garage available for you to park in, this is great for unloading and keeping the car out of the snow. This house includes all kitchen amenities and plenty of sitting areas for your cozy getaway in the mountains!

  • Great beautiful house. Close to White Pass which is awesome. Great little town near by and overall quiet community. Felt homey and even my toddler said she liked her new home. I would recommend staying here if you are going to be exploring the area or are just passing through.

  • Great location for a quiet weekend away in the woods. Easy access to Packwood for food and drink, and only about 45 minutes to White Pass ski area. The hosts have excellent information for all aspects of the house, and are very detailed before you arrive (so much so that I didn't need to contact them during the stay). Definitely will consider this spot again for another ski or hiking weekend.

  • Had an awesome time hanging @ Steph & Damon’s place over a long weekend. It was easy to check-in & the place was sparkling clean. The location is great; literally a rocks throw from the river, quick drive to multiple trail heads & the small downtown area of Packwood. Our dog loved running around in the big yard. Would definitely stay here again!

  • Beautiful home located on the Cowlitz River. Quiet neighborhood tucked back in the woods. The HUGE garage was perfect for laying out our gear each day. The garage also was a perfect place to kennel my two German Shepherds in between adventures. The layout of the living area was very comfortable and inviting for 3 people and two dogs. Speaking of dogs- my two dogs are super focused on the smell of other dogs in new places. This place is sparkling clean and smell free of dogs! So surprised and grateful that they welcome pets in their beautiful home.

  • This overnight was a simple stopover for my mom and me. We received immediate response and it made for very easy check-in. The room was clean, full of everything we needed (micro, coffee, clean towels, linens, etc). The light breakfast served in the lobby was perfect. I'm a bit of a germ-a-phobic and didn't hesitate using the serving utensils. All of the staff members were friendly and engaging without being intrusive. The owner is working on turning the whole place into a full-service facility. I'll be back!!!!

  • This was my first traveling stay with AirBnB an Fi was very pleased. I was concerned that the neighborhood people didn’t walk their dogs on a leash but what can you about that without taking away from the view of the woods. Also there was doggie poo in the woods that had not been picked up by previous visitor or wondering pups. I really like the stay and would return if in the area.

Rene was able to accommodate an early check in and we really appreciated that as we had our toddler who really needed a nap!! Highly recommend, it did take 45-50 minutes to White Pass.

  • Another great visit to Bella Vista! This was our second trip to Rene's place and won't be our last. The house is so comfortable and has everything we need and more for a weekend away from home. We love to cook and the kitchen has everything we need to make our family meal. After a soak in the hot tub and dinner, we love to share some laughs around the kitchen table playing one of the many provided board games after a day in the Mts.

  • We loved the cute cabin by the White River. Our time there included a nice visit from the local Roosevelt Elk Herd.

  • Great proximity to Mt Rainier and Seattle. Lovely cabin feel with the outdoor fire pit and the cabins kitchen is well stocked. The furniture could use updating for comfort

  • Penny's cabin is very close to Greenwater and about 45 minutes to Sunrise. There are lots of good hikes nearby, we especially liked Upper Palaside Lakes, Summerland, and the Naches Peak Trail, and the Grove of the Patriarchs. Wildflowers were slightly past peaked and still gorgeous. The cabin is well stocked (you may want to bring a baking sheet), and don't forget your own shampoo. There are 2 bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom, one with a queen bed and one with a single bed. The dining room is large but the living room is small. No room for more than 2 couples and another single guest. I would stay here again.

  • A cosy cabin in the woods, yet not completely isolated either. It was the perfect balance. Falling asleep to the sound of the river and waking up to the sound of elk crying nearby. It was magical. Excellent location to explore Mt Rainier. We would love to come back!

  • Great little cabin that was nearly perfect for our family! Beautiful, peaceful, setting with the sound of a roaring creek/river close by. Fun little walking trails for kids to explore right behind the cabin. Served as a convenient home base for exploring everything that Mount Rainier has to offer!

  • Lovely place, just perfect for some relaxation! Was in the area for a family wedding, and this was just wonderful to host some family meals and enjoy nature! Loved the proximity to Mount Rainier and Crystal Mountain, and definitely loved seeing the elk!
