[NEW] OMEAN, a tranquil one-story rental home designed by an interior designer, surrounded by traditional beauty and art, 3 minutes from Ome Station

[Newly opened!] quiet luxury Omea Sakura Umean, a private rental where you can enjoy the culture and tranquility of Ome It is a small, quiet hideaway in a good location just a 3-minute walk from JR Ome Station. A Japanese modern vintage house that a Japanese interior designer has recreated with minimalism and modern design, making use of traditional materials such as tatami mats, shoji, sliding doors, and plaster. The space, which retains the elegance of simplicity, features a small dry landscape garden and a view of the Ome mountains, and at night the lights of the atelier quietly envelop your stay. Here, you can “stay like you live.” Boutique bungalow. The house where the last movie sign painter, Itami Itan, lived was renovated, and the design was selected as a finalist for the 2025 Modern Living Awards, a Japanese luxury interior magazine. The “Ome Blue” culture, including Ome Aoi indigo, textiles, sake brewing, and the arts, is alive and well here, naturally bringing you and your travel companion closer together. There are plenty of sightseeing opportunities in the surrounding area, such as Mt. Mitake, the clear waters of the Tama River, the experience of nature in all seasons, and a stroll through retro Ome, known as the town of cats. Even though it's your first visit, I hope you have a special time surrounded by the tranquility and culture that will make you want to say, “I'm home.”

Fuji from this driving route is absolutely stunning. The building is a fairly spacious 180-m² single-family home, and I think you will feel a sense of luxury thanks to its size. Please consider my guesthouse as your own and enjoy a truly relaxing stay. Daily Yamazaki is a 4-minute walk (open 5:00 AM – 11:00 PM). The supermarket is 6 minutes by car (Okajima: open 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM) To the east, south, and west, there are mountains, and no private homes. 5-minute drive to Tsuru Country Club and Tsuru Golf Club. There is a municipal hot spring, Basho Tsukimachi-no-Yu, a 7-minute drive away, and there is also a high-quality hot spring in the mountains, which I highly recommend (open 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM, closed Mondays). The TV is a smart TV, and there is no cable TV (terrestrial B and BS). Guests can watch YouTube as guests. You can use your own account to watch Netflix and other services, but please delete your personal information when you check out. There is a fire pit for campfires. Please bring firewood with you (sold at convenience stores, supermarkets, etc.). There are solar panels and other facilities installed nearby. Please note that it is not a completely rural area.

Shimomura no Hanare

The accommodation "Shitamura no Hanare" is located about 20 minutes by car from Fujino Station on the Chuo Line, on the prefectural border between Uenohara City, Yamanashi Prefecture and Midori Ward, Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture. It is about an hour's drive from the city, and the peaceful scenery of the natural countryside spreads out. "Shimomura no Hanare" is named after our house. The separate accommodation is compact but private, and you can enjoy seasonal views from the garden room. In this area, cars were not yet widespread in the early Showa era, and people mainly raised horses, cows, goats, chickens, etc. in stables. There is a renovated stable on the premises of our house, and it is a charming space. The stable is also a private space for guests. Children are welcome, and up to 1 small dog is allowed. In addition, although it is limited to the season, you can enjoy activities such as shiitake mushroom hunting, bamboo shoot digging, bracken picking, and yuzu harvesting. Would you like to refresh yourself in nature?
