Places to stay in English Harbour

Places to stay in English Harbour
Quaint, cozy and conveniently located in English Harbour, on the extreme southern end of the beautiful island of Antigua. Located close enough to the dockyard and nightlife, yet secluded enough to enjoy the serenity and beauty!
The space is safe, clean and peaceful!! This is a two level house. The host resides on the upper level, while the lower level features a self contained apartment for its guest. Each level enjoys its own private entrance.
A 10 minute walk from the historical Nelson's Dockyard and the Antigua Yacht Club Marina. Restaurants, bars, and shops are also located within this same walking distance. Located just off the Shirley Heights main road, access to this historical site and their weekly Sunday night parties is only a 5-7 minutes drive away.
  • The Hillside Cozy Corner was the perfect spot for us. Amaryllis was so sweet and greeted us each morning as we went out for the day. Located a short 5-10 min walk to Antigua Yacht Club where there are plenty of delicious restaurants, grocery/liquor store and gorgeous views. The apartment was very clean and had great amenities such as bath towels, cotton balls/Q-tips, shampoo, soap, hair dryer and kitchen supplies/cooking necessities. It is definitely somewhere we would stay again! Thank you Amaryllis!!

  • Nice place, and very welcoming hosts

    Boris2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • The hostess is amazingly kind and flexible. Her place is a great spot to relax in the Falmouth/English Harbour area.

  • I love that Amaryllis had a little guidebook made, it helped a lot.

    John2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay! We really enjoyed our stay here. The hostess went above and beyond to accommodate a few special needs that we had. I highly recommend Amaryllis’s place 😊

    mike2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • A pretty short walk up from either Nelson's Dockyard or English Harbor. This is a nice place to stay with a hot shower, nice bedroom and a living room with kitchenette. I enjoyed the stay.

The bedroom is spacious and the open plan lounge/kitchen area blessed with fantastic views of the turquoise Caribbean Sea and the harbour. The Sky Apartment is set in a very safe and secure neighbourhood, set back from the main road yet close to supermarkets, restaurants, car rental, dive shops and more. The closest beach is one of the most beautiful on the Island and is eight minutes walk away. During the season, English and Falmouth Harbour are vibrant with yachts of all shapes and sizes as well as their crew. During this time, there are many festivities for their entertainment. In the Summer, the ambience of the Harbours is far more local and quiet. The History of the area is well documented and Nelsons Dockyard, the Hill Forts, and the beautiful ruins which dot the area are easily accessible via car or footpath. We have many trails around us at Energie, just ask your hosts! On site, you have a brand new fully equipped Gym alongside the Studio in which a variety of classes are held - these amenities are at a small additional fee.
  • Gary’s place is amazing, has wonderful views and location cannot be beat

    Raj2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Sky apartment is so clean, quiet and beautiful. Gary and his team are very committed to their guests having a wonderful stay. We especially enjoyed the yoga classes, the gym and massage on site. The yoga instructor is excellent and provided top notch classes that were both supportive and challenging. The apartment is fully equipped for cooking and relaxing. We loved being able to make breakfast and enjoy it on the private terrace overlooking the Harbour. It was easy to get around the area without renting a car. We walked to local restaurants, shops, the historical dockyard and the most beautiful beach - all a 10-15 minute walk. The staff gave us great recommendations for transportation, dining, boat tour and beaches. We stayed a full week and left feeling rested, energized and happy. We highly recommend.

    Suzanne2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in Gary's apartment for 5 days. It was well equipped and we had a great view of the harbor. All the best, can recommend the property!

    Markus2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Quite & very comfortable with a great view over the Marina and all of Falmouth Bay. Thoroughly recommended & we would definitely stay here again Thanks Gary

  • Energie is a fantastic place to stay to discover the delights of English Harbour and the surrounding areas. The apartment is beautiful with amazing views overlooking the bay. The place was immaculate with all the amenties that you could need while staying. The gym facilities were fantastic and the general communal areas were well kept. Gary was a great host and the team were always available to talk and give advice on the area. Flatties rib night was a highlight! They were even kind enough to lend us their snorkels for Galleon Beach - well worth the short trip to! Very good location to get to the main part of town and a short 15min walk to the beach (Pigeon Point). Overall, a lovely place to stay. Highly recommend!

    Jenny2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Place was up to the minute! Gym was everything a gym buff would want and more. Location was spot on with picture perfect views. Would recommend to any and all visitors, this is a must stay place. Thank you Gary and staff again for a great time.

    Jesse2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay at Energie. The apartment was bright, clean, and spacious. Gary was extremely responsive in the lead up to our stay and was more than happy to accommodate our last minute request to bring along our young daughter. The views are spectacular, and English Harbour with all it’s restaurants are within easy walking distance. We needed to stay put for the 2 weeks as our son was sailing daily, so didn’t get a chance to explore much of the island and didn’t hire a car, but would recommend doing so if you intend to explore. We most certainly recommend Energie, Gary was a pleasure to deal with.

  • The Sky Apartment is a beautiful, well-appointed, modern, clean and comfortable place. The view on the patio is better than the photos show. We enjoyed morning coffee and even a few home-cooked breakfasts out there every day. At first the location seemed a little far from the action of the town, but once we heard how loud the bars are at night, we're glad we didn't stay any closer. And really, the walk in the town is not far at all. Even Nelsons Dockyard is easily accessible on foot. It's a lot closer than it looks. Overall, my wife and I really enjoyed staying here, and Gary and his staff were hospitable and friendly. I'd certainly recommend the Sky Apartment (or the neighboring Sun Apartment) to anyone.

    English Harbour, Antigua and Barbuda

Newly renovated Studio with open plan kitchen, living, dining and bedroom, large bathroom with rain shower. Kitchen has solid concrete counter tops, brand new stove, fridge and all amenities. Large private outside deck/living room with great view of the Marinas and Falmouth. Situated at Cobbs Cross within walking distance of English Harbour and the Marinas. Suitable for 1 or 2 people.
Tranquil, breezy with great views but only 5 minutes drive from down town English Harbour with many bars and restaurants and night life, multiple beaches close by.
  • Sarah's place was exactly as described. The views were beautiful, apartment clean and well appointed, and the location was great for exploring English Harbor and the rest of the island. We had a rental car and would definitely recommend a car for this location.

    Michael2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! As pictured, quiet and private but still very close to town by car. Nice breeze at night, Very clean and comfortable.

    Terence2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • The facilities were perfect for the two of us and it was great to have well stocked kitchen facilities so that we could cook. The peppermint tea as well as tea and coffee was a great touch too. Although it looks great in the photos, it was even better than expected, simple but stylish. Sarah is a great host who, although we never met in person, was quick to reply to messages and couldn't have been more helpful. We would have loved to have stayed longer but unfortunately had to leave for less hospitable surroundings of a racing yacht. If we come back to Antigua we wouldn't think twice about staying here again. A wonderfully relaxing chilled private space. One final note, it is quite noisy at night with the sound of nature, so if you're a light sleeper you might want ear plugs. Personally the sound of various creatures chirping and tweeting I find a wonderful soundtrack to drop off too, but it might not be for all.

    Claire2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • We couldn`t have asked for a better place to spend our holiday in Antigua! Sarah was truly a superhost, she was very helpful and was quick to respond to any questions. Her studio has a great location with a beautiful view of English Harbour, and is close to a bakery, fruit stands, markets, and restaurants. The studio itself is spotlessly clean with a fully stocked kitchen, great walk in shower in the bathroom, and a large deck to relax on. The wine and other goodies in the fridge when we arrived was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. We would highly recommend Sarah`s place for your holiday in this island paradise.

    Geoff2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place is AMAZING!! One of the best AirBnB we have ever stayed in!! I highly recommend this place to anyone without any doubt!! Close to Nelsons dockyard (5min by car) where you also find a supermarket. The property is in such a nice lush green setting and you have a bit of a view on the harbour, sail boats and sunset. The apartment is equipped very well with anything one needs, even outlet adaptors were available for use :) Thank you again Sarah!! Florian

    Florian2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah's house is amazing, a beautiful bijou space for 2, it has all the amenities you would require for a stay including a fully equipped kitchen. Shops and Falmouth harbour are a short walk away. Highly recommended.

    Nigel2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful gem perfectly located. Sarah’s puts a lot of attention to details that makes your stay very cozy. Being also a Airbnb host , my expectations can get really high and I can only highly recommend this place.

  • Amazing value. Great location for walking to the hub of the harbor. Great open second floor deck. Simple room but great value. Make sure to read the description no hot water etc. I will be returning for sure.

  • Perfect location, nice staff! The big terrace is a great place to work and chill out, and the marina is just a few meters away. Perfect for dockwalking!

  • The waterfront hosts are very nice and helpful. Great location with a beautiful view.

    Petr2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • A very cool guest house with a good backbacker standard. No AC, but good fans and the nice breeze keeps the place cool enough. The shared kitchen gives lot of social contact with the other guests. The owner couple are absolutely charming, service minded and should be called super-hosts. I wish I didn't have to move on... :)

    Jens2019-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed staying at the waterfront ! The place is very nice to relax with a big tarrace and couches. It has everything that I needed and the hosts are lovely. They even let me check out late on the last day since my flight was in the evening ! I would definitely recommend if you are travelling on a budget :)

My place is close to great views, restaurants and dining, the beach, family-friendly activities, and nightlife. You’ll love my place because of the views and the ambiance. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups.
Here we pride ourselves on stunning views and peace and quiet
English harbor is a well-known yachting community with many restaurants beaches and activities
  • This was the best Airbnb experience I have ever had . The host JJ is a super host anything you need to know about the area and where to go he has all the details. He is very accessible anytime we texted with questions he quickly responded. The location is beautiful the view is unbelievable !! This place is a must !

    Maureen2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place.

    William2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Wow - what an amazing place. Vine cottages are a very cool space to stay in during a trip to Antigua. We loved the huge private terrace with incredible views, spacious lounge area with huge sofas and most importantly a very comfy bed. We were given lots of towels and the air con worked really well in the bedroom so we slept brilliantly. The pool was clean and warm and had great views over the Harbour. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay and would highly recommend it. Check in easy and Peter gave us some excellent restaurant recommendations.

    Harriet2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice and quiet place. With a beautiful view.

    Aurélie2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Best AIRBNB experience yet! First off, JJ is an exceptional host – he took the time to share his tips and recommendations with us about the island including some hidden gems that we had no idea about! He responds to your questions quickly and efficiently without feeling like you’re asking for too much. The cottage is much more than what the photos show. It is very spacious with high ceilings (bedroom and living area) and beautifully furnished (modern, clean, comfortable bed). The BEST part of this cottage is the huge terrace looking out to a stunning view of the English Harbour. You can catch sunsets as well as the occasional rainbow in the morning (I think we were lucky to see three in one week!). The cottage also comes with Netflix which was useful for the evenings/nights since the nightlife in Antigua is limited (and this time of the year at least). The shower, another spacious area of the cottage is open concept, made with stone, simply beautiful. I was happy to see that there is 2 AC units (one in bedroom and one in living room) so you’ll be sure to keep cool. It is definitely recommended to have a car to get in and around (free and easy parking!), but it is still a very close drive to convenience stores, restaurants and the best spot to catch a sunset on the island (Shirley Heights). Overall, if we were to come back to Antigua, we would definitely book this cottage without hesitation! Thank you JJ and team!

    Melissa2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay if you prefer a quiet location with great views! It's just a 5-10 minute drive to Shirley Heights and English Harbour (the road to the cottages is pretty gnarly, though.) The bedroom was dark and comfy and perfect for resting after a busy day of hiking and swimming. Having a full kitchen was nice; we ate breakfast in every morning (there are a few markets nearby to stock up on supplies.) This was my second stay here, and I would definitely book again!

    Julie2018-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is my second time staying at Vine Cottages and I’m still in love with this space. Michael’s communication from before my arrival and throughout my stay was amazing. I would recommend anyone to stay here. The views from the balcony are one of a kind. Can’t wait for my next visit

    Renee2018-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and spacious. Loved the balcony and the view. I was able to relax and read a book over looking the island. The pool was beautiful and warm and clean. Can’t complain, will stay everytime I’m in Antigua

Located in the heart of English Harbour, just above the Antigua Yacht Club with views of Superyachts in Falmouth Harbour, this Queen-size bed with mosquito net is one of four open-air beds on the verandah of Pineapple House. Ideal for social, casual, solo adventurers, this attractively appointed pad is close to nightlife, public transport, Pigeon Point beach, and Nelson's Dockyard. You’ll love Pineapple House, because of the views, the West Indian architecture, and the friendly atmosphere.
Windward Rail is a queen-size bed with mosquito net that is one of four beds located in a large room in the main house of Pineapple House. One of the more private beds in the room, it is separated from the other beds by a dining table and a sitting room, and it has a mosquito net, which adds to privacy. It shares a bathroom with cold-water shower and WC with other guests, who use it to change. There is an outside shower, useful after the beach. Guests staying in the Windward Rail should be aware that these are outside beds where mosquitos may have some intrusion; rain can fall on the beds in a northerly (rare); water is a precious commodity on the island; please use the cold water shower sparingly. Guests are expected to bring their own booze, ice, and food to the bar; the kitchen is communal... Guests need to be aware that the party does not stop for sleepers; the main house at Pineapple House is a social place. Hurricane Irma Update: Pineapple House suffered no damage whatsoever from Hurricane Irma, which swept past Antigua on September 5th, 2017. Frangipani will be ready to go for her full season of bookings, starting October 21st, 2017.... Come stay with us!
English Harbour is the heart of the Caribbean yachting industry. Home to historic Nelson's Dockyard, an 18th century British naval dockyard, it is where Admiral Horatio Nelson refitted his Ships of the Line from 1784 to 1787. Today it is home to enormous Super Yachts, arriving from Europe from December to May. The two marinas where they berth are right under our view! Antigua Yacht Club is located across the street from Pineapple.... It hosts racing regattas.... Upstairs there is a really fun sushi bar; downstairs a restaurant, open to the public that hosts great rock bands some evenings. Out on the dock there are more snack bars and an outdoor seating area that caters to all the shops. A book store, grocery store, and chandlery complete the businesses found at the Antigua Yacht Club Marina. Moving down the road a bit pass various sky rise hotels, Temo Sports is a tennis center with bar and restaurant, famous for its great breakfasts... Next door is Titi's Rent a Car, but it's much less expensive to rent a car in advance online.... Mad Mongoose is next door, a well known bar and restaurant that offers live music and free wireless. It's one of many popular bars in the area where people off the boats gather with friends late into the night. Along Dockyard Drive is Life Bar and Restaurant, a vegetarian Restaurant... Next door is a clothes boutique and my cousin Nancy Nicholson's pottery shop, Rhythm In Blue.... Nancy is famous for her large, blue, signature dinner platters, and she sells local art and jewelry besides. Treehouse is across the street and offers body massage, pedicures, and facials. There are two scuba diving shops in that area, including Dockyard Divers, run by our good friend Tony Fincham, a one-time Nicholson Yacht Charter captain..... Tony's favorite dive site is the Pillars of Hercules at the entrance to English Harbour, famous for visits from large, harmless, pelagic fish. Cap Horn is a restaurant next to Rhythm In Blue that serves delicious French cuisine. Grace Before Meals comes next, a local place that serves excellent, low-cost Roti. Further along is Abracadabra, a fun Italian restaurant that is open for dinner, followed by Music and Dancing, that stays open late into the night.... Beyond That Is A Real Estate Shop.... Now you enter Nelson's Dockyard, where The Admirals Inn has a delightful terrace, which we recommend you visit for an al fresco lunch or dinner under the stars.... Outside the Admirals Inn in the parking lot is an ATM machine and bank. Galley Bar Is hamburgers and bar. Next is Hotspot, run by our friend Gay Nichols, which Is breakfast and lunch - paninis and delicious salads, eggs and bacon.... Upstairs in the Officers Quarters is a place called Headquarters, which has delicious wine.... Beyond that there is The Copper And Lumber Store, which has fish Friday, a popular place, frequented by yachtsmen.... In the Powder Magazine across from the Admirals Inn there's a restaurant called Boom, which is a spa, bar, restaurant and pool. Swim in the pool while you wait for a drink or a massage. With walls 15 feet thick with slits for ventilation, the Powder Magazine is where the British stored gun powder during the 18th Century. There are four of them in English Harbour, at Boom, Fort Berkley, Block House, and the fourth is hidden away in the swamp on the road to Shirley Heights. Further back toward the Antigua Yacht Club there's another place....Italian...excellent for lunch...called Rum Baba.... It's really good. We also forgot Trappas Bar on Dockyard Drive; they have excellent meals, a popular place for dinner....Seared Tuna and the like....frequented by the higher class locals from town.... Farther afield, we recommend visits to historic Shirley Heights, Block House, and Clarence House, a long walk or short taxi ride.... The view of the Caribbean Sea and Guadeloupe are not to be missed! Shirley Heights Lookout hosts a popular jump up every Sunday evening, where people gather at 5 pm sharp to watch the sun go down; be warned....the bar serves 150 proof rum! Jacqui's restaurant on Fig Tree Drive is a great place to watch the sun set over the horizon with sundowners; stop along the way to zipline over the rain forest on Fig Tree Drive; swim gorgeous Darkwood Beach. Wadadli Catamarans in nearby Jolly Harbour offers sailing trips to Cades Reef, Great Bird Island, and a Circumnavigation of the island every day of the week for about $100 a person, including lunch. Book (EMAIL HIDDEN) Libby's friend Greg operates Barbuda Express (ferry boat), which offers daily boat rides to Barbuda, where lobster picnics can be arranged on the 20 mile long beach, famous for its turquoise water. During mating season in March hire a boat and driver to see the amazing frigate birds! It's fun to go with a group to let the boys arrange a picnic for you on Bird Island off Antigua's Hodges Bay; they have snorkel gear for you to enjoy the reefs with. Since Antigua has 365 beaches, many of them with hotels, it's fun to hotel hop, if you're renting a car. It's also fun to stop at the roadside bars on Fig Tree Drive, hobnob with the locals, and order beers. If you enjoy reading, I recommend 'To Shoot Hard Labour', a memoir by Samuel Smith, an Antiguan working man, who lived 100 years during slavery; get to know many of Antigua's British governors; order the book ahead on Amazon. Visit Betty's Hope (a sugar plantation mentioned in the book) and Devil's Bridge on Antigua's sparkling eastern coast; stop for a swim and a snorkel at Half Moon Bay; have lunch at Harmony Hall and shop at their inexpensive boutique. When you're in St. Johns, a must-visit is the public market; located next to the public bus depot, the public market is a great place to stock up on fresh, local nutmeg, vanilla, spices and herbs, grown locally on the island or imported from Dominica and Grenada, to take back home with you. While you're in St. Johns, we recommend visiting our uncle's archeological museum; he dedicated his life to researching the Carib and Arawak Indians in the West Indies, and there are all manner of sod houses, tools from 400 years ago, and stories of how these native people migrated from South America in dugout canoes. Of course, a stroll through Nelson's Dockyard is an absolute must, along with a visit to the museum to see model ships of Britain's Ships of the Line and artefacts, such as the planters' china, soldiers' buttons, and uniforms; it was our father who swum up the figurehead of the women's bust from the bottom of English Harbour. During the 1960s cannon balls were to be found everywhere on the hillsides surrounding English Harbour; we have a few 25 pounders to show you at Pineapple House. After visiting the Dockyard Museum in Nelson's Dockyard, have lunch under the Casuarina trees and ruins of the Sail Loft (now an aquarium) on the terrace of the Admiral's Inn. Following lunch, a short hike out to Fort Berkley at the entrance to English Harbour is rewarding and not strenous at all with its powder magazine, gun ramparts, and views of Nelson's Dockyard. For exercise, swim from Galleon Beach to Freeman's Beach near the entrance to English Harbour. Take the water taxi from Nelson's Dockyard to Galleon Beach after touring English Harbour first. Paparazzi's is a fun, new restaurant, located at Antigua Slipway, enroute. One of the most scenic drives in Antigua is the coastal road that wraps around Willoughby Bay on the south side of the island; the best place to start this drive is English Harbour, because the sun shining behind you onto Willoughby Bay shows up the colors of the water best; heading east toward the town of Bethesda, what a photo op! Closer to home, a 5-minute walk from Pineapple House is Pigeon Beach, where there are two beach bars; order beers in the sand at Bumpkins Beach Bar, but have lunch at Catherine's Cafe; it's a fine, French restaurant, worth every cent. English Harbour buzzes at night with many options for fine French and Italian restaurants, followed by music and dancing late into the night. Rock bands are famous for their lead guitarists and great singers. We also have some reggae.
  • Staying at Libby's is a unique experience where you have the opportunity to socialize with interesting people of many different demographics. It's a coming together of love and respect for one another no matter your background.

  • Libby has created truely special space at pineapple - always vibing, always fun and all in a little piece of heaven on Earth! Definitely staying again!

  • Not sure what I expected when I booked Libby’s. But whatever my expectations were they were exceeded! The place is quaint and forested. Stone paths and steps lead to adorable white wooden cottages. I slept in the main house veranda where the other visitors hang out. There will always be someone to chill or chat with there. We had delicious family style dinners and even a house bonfire on the beach for our last night! Beaches and restaurants are a 10 min walk away. This house is especially good for singles as there is lots of mingling. There’s no hot water and ac but you don’t even need it because you’re having so much fun. Libby herself exudes an aura of joy and love and is always ready to help. Not only was it beautiful and perfectly located, I felt like I found a fun little family in paradise! Thank you Thank you Pineapple House!

  • Libby couldn't have done anything more to make my trip better. She was a very friendly and fun host, loved every second in her home. The guests at the property were all friendly and chatty, I travelled as a single female and I felt safe at Libby's property. Thanks to her staff at the house, you guys do an amazing job. I will certainly be booking another trip to Antigua

    Phoebe2019-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • As a single traveler, Pineapple House was a perfect fit. The open Main House is such a great place to meet new people and make great friends. My stay in Antigua would have been a totally different (not as nice) experience for me if I’d stayed anywhere else. Be prepared to mix and mingle, you’re bound to find a kindred spirit there.

  • Joe and Jenni are great host! Keeping the place clean and helping everyone get the best experience!! Thank you!

    Silvia2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Joey and Jenna’s hostel during a period of two weeks time. The original plan was a four-night visit but since I’m island hopping the timetable tend to be a bit vague. This didn’t seem to bother Joey and Jenna at all though which resulted in me staying longer and enjoying all of the perks with Waterfront Inn. Looking forward to return when I pass by Antigua next time!

    Josefin2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Really good place. I had been travelling over 50 countries and I have been in a punch of “hostels”. This one it’s on the top position in my list. Nice views, hearting people, nice kitchen, A/C, nice flow ambient... 100% recommended !! 😉

    Manuel2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great place in a superb location! I have made a lot new friends here and will definitely come back when I‘m in Antigua again. Joey and Jenna are very friendly and helpful with everything you ask for.

  • Great place, great people...many things to do in English Harbour between forest, beaches, being with people, wandering around. The island has a very good vibe, people makes you feel most welcome. The Waterfront Inn is a great place to stay to meet people, super clean, morning coffee sometimes, great view, nice dorm and room, confortable ... . Jenna, Joey and their staff are super friendly. The location is perfect. In love with that island .... thank you

  • Joe and Jenny's guest house was a perfect place for me to stay at. I was really busy while I was there but it was in a great location and had all the amenities I needed to make me feel comfortable. I was also able to meet some of the other guests and able to share some laughs, food and get some valuable local tips. I would recommend this location to anyone who needs a place to stay in English Harbor.

  • Perfect location for such a big hostel, right on the marinas and short walk to the beaches. Although it has just reopened, it is still homey, with friendly hosts. Very comfortable are also the comfortable beds and couches, for sailors a real pleasure!

  • Victor was an excellent host, unobtrusive but lives upstairs and was always available with advice and responsive to questions. The apartment is basic but is perfectly adequate for two people. Comfortable bed, plenty of hot water in the bathroom and full kitchen. Spare linen and extra towels in the closet. Location is very good, on a busy road but quiet at night and the verandah is perfect for meals, a frosty cold one or two or watching the world go by. No WIFI but the supermarket 5 mins walk away has a handy WIFI zone with chairs and tables. A short walk to Nelson's Dockyard National Park-if you are staying at Victor's which is in the park your ticket is valid for the length of your stay. This also includes Shirley Heights, a good deal . We recommend Victor's place .

    Tim2019-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location in Falmouth Harbour. A 5 minute walk to grocery store, restaurants, pubs. Clean, safe apartment. Perfect budget friendly option.

    Jennifer2019-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • It was all to my best satisfaction. Cleanliness of the apartment, location of the apartment and above all the hospitality.

    Sabine2018-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • Victors place was great, close to everything but still very quiet. Lot of bars and restaurants within walking distance as well as Nelson's dockyard. Bus easy to get right outside the gate, some 20-25min to town. The kitchen was fully equipped but some sugar, salt n spices would have been nice. Victor answered quickly and was great in all ways. Would recommend!

  • This is a great apartment in a fantastic location. It overlooks the Harbour with amazing views. The apartment was lovely and clean, with plenty of towels. Also a lovely vase of local flowers were left for us and a much needed bottle of water! There is a cooker, kettle & coffee machine.

  • We had a wonderful and relaxing week staying at Paola's apartment with our kids (aged 8 and 5). The location could not be better, with so many restaurants within a few minutes walk (we tried Cloggy's, Bar-B's, Club House, Life on The Corner, Jackee's Kwik Stop, Cap Horn, Skullduggery, Colibri and enjoyed them all!), the beautiful beach less than ten minutes walk away, and Nelson's Dockyard also within a short walk. Everything was very convenient (especially with taxis always available very nearby too - we took a daylong trip into St. John's). We spent many happy hours each day on the balcony just taking in the view, watching the ships coming and going as well as all the brightly coloured birds and lizards. Paola was very helpful, communicative and quick to reply.

    Ian2019-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • Cool View studio is great value if you're visiting the English Harbour area and need somewhere convenient to the dockyard/yacht club to stay. The apartment is in the action - down the road from groceries, bars and restaurants and about a 10 min walk from the beach. As others have said, the nightlife is quite loud and you may have trouble sleeping, especially during the popular nights and the high season. That said, if you're here to party, this place is perfect for you! The apartment was really clean, well equipped and had an excellent view of the harbour and the big yachts.

    Andrew2019-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place was great. I was surprised at how well it was stocked with amenities and how clean it was. The location is perfect; a short walk to Pigeon beach and a short walk to Colibri restaurant ( so good) in the other direction and a grocery market just a few feet away. The owner provided ear plugs ( I brought my own.) You may need them on the weekend as the nearby bars are noisy until around midnight. Other than that, the location was perfect and quiet. Nice mornings on the balcony overlooking the harbor. I will definitely come back.

    Barbara2019-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay here - as others have said, the view from the terrace to the marina is stunning and you are 5' walk to one of the best beaches in the area. The apartment is spacious and kept very clean by Christophene, and the kitchen well equipped. Comms with Paola were great and she kindly let us leave our bags for a few hours after check out. Recommended!

    Glen & Jo2019-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Where do I start? Firstly, thank you Paola for a beautiful stay in a beautiful home. Cozy and comfortable with a funky feel this accommodation is exactly as advertised. Love the artwork and the fresh air coming in from the double doors onto a balcony with a view. Great location within walking distance of everything you could need. Extra towels was a nice touch as I stayed for a week. Couldn't possibly do it justice with a review, would highly recommend go and see for yourself

Set in English Harbour, Antigua’s delightful historic district, Mango Cora is ideally situated just 10 minutes away from the lovely Pigeon Point Beach. English Harbour is home to Sailing Week, one of the premier sailing events in the world.
An excellent choice for spending time with family or friends, Mango Cora’s two bedroom suites feature separate dressing/sitting areas. Within the walls of this charming property you are provided with an intimate and relaxed environment to meet your needs. • Lovely house with large terrace. The hot tub is a real treat. English harbour is a very good location. Actually went to talk to one of the neighbours to ask about the electricity as it was cut off for a short while. Lynch, who looks after the property, was very helpful and easy to contact. Recommend Mango Cora very highly.

  • We absolutely love our stay at Mango Cora. Lynch, the property manager is very friendly and helpfull. Nicole, the owner is also very helpfull and quick to anwser all questions. The villa is 10-15 minutes away from the beach, restaurants and shops. If you need a taxi, Lynch can organise transport with PJ, a wonderfull, honest taxi driver. The jaccuzy is so great! I was there with my kids, they loved it! I truly recommend this place!

    Emilie2019-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for a great stay at Mango Cora! Overall we completely loved staying there and the apartment suited our needs well. There were just a few issues that Lynch fixed as quickly as he could which we understand can take a while on island time! The deck lights do still need fixing and the outside hammock looks lovely in photos but is not really usable. The apartment is 10-15min walk into town and 10 more to Pigeon beach which we didn’t mind but we did get a hire car after the first week as we decided we wanted a bit more of a holiday. Prices for this were not very expensive. Lovely new BBQ on the deck, A/C works great, hot water in shower ran out too quickly for 4 ppl but again this is the Caribbean so to be expected although took a bit of management for the girls washing their hair! The maid cleaned after we were there one week (requested) and left the place as spotless as when we arrived. Massive fridge was great as we ate in most of the time, blender etc great for cocktails too! Overall, we did truly have a lovely time and would definitely come stay again! Thank you Mango Cora <3

  • Fantastic stay, brilliant location. Quite a lot of noise from the bars on a Friday/Saturday but if you close the shutters then it really doesn’t matter. Most incredible view from the balcony!

    Caroline2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at the yacht club resort. The location is really convenient to a number of restaurants and bars. We also found it easy to access local beaches and use the local bus system to get into St John's. Although the area has a lot of posh restaurants, we found that there were a couple of great local gems as well within walking range. The patio is the highlight of this stay -- we enjoyed watching the sunset every day there. We would not hesitate to book again!

  • Knowing that we came with a two year old child, before our arrival Paola went the extra mile and without us even asking added secure fencing to her deck. This was such a lovely touch and pleasant surprise, and really shows what a caring host she is. Her apartment is beautiful and in a perfect location. We enjoyed walks to the dockyard, relaxed at the marina, and took short trips to Shirley Heights and the donkey sanctuary. Hard to leave!

English Harbour, Saint Paul, Antigua and Barbuda

Open, airy, one-bedroom guest house with four-poster King bed with canopy; fully equipped kitchen & living room with swinging sofa. Bathroom with rainwater shower. Located in English Harbor, steps from Nelson's Dockyard. Steps from Pigeon Beach with two beach bars. Ocean view of luxury yacht marina. Gated community. Night life. Housekeeping Services. Friendly atmosphere.
Hibiscus is a lovely private guest house, located on a hillside overlooking the Antigua Yacht Club Marina and Falmouth Harbour. It is in a trendy neighborhood that is safe and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars, grocery shops, bank, Nelson's Dockyard, and of course our favorite....Pigeon Point Beach. Meandering paths connect seven private guest cottages to the Main House, known collectively as The Pineapple House. Guests are welcome to join an informal cocktail hour with other guests and friends, or you are welcome to remain in your own house with living room, bedroom and kitchen. Restaurants in the area offer everything from local to French, English, and Italian fare.... All are within walking distance of the Pineapple House. Most of all, the view is stunning from the cottage with luxury yachts anchored on the docks below. At different times of the year, the view changes, as Super Yachts are swapped out for racing yachts, depending upon what functions are going on ashore. The Antigua Yacht Club hosts regattas throughout the year and is located literally 3 minutes from our front gate! The king size bed has a mosquito net and a fan. We catch our rain water from gutters, so please use water sparingly. The houses are open to the air and offer a tropical, Caribbean style, where yellow and black birds, Banana Twits, fly through the house and visit while you are having breakfast....They may hop impatiently while you finish your fruit. We put sugar out to succor them in further... There is complimentary internet (in the main house only) and a code to our front gate. We have a friendly and local staff on site, who make up your bed daily and clean your room. We are like family, small and quaint. Hibiscus is less expensive than Bird House and Cleopatras, because it shares a house with Cleopatras, but it is more expensive than Frangipani and Rum Jungle, because the view is better. It does not have as many steps as Bird House, and while it has a great view, the view is not as good as at Cleopatras, which is located above it with hot water shower. Hibiscus has a private kitchen and cold-water shower. Pineapple House is a great place to catch up on reading and writing. People who stay here meet people, both within the compound of Pineapple itself and at pubs ashore. Pineapple House caters to the crew off the yachts, who take time off between charters, and we also receive a lot of business from AirBNB guests. People dress up at night and dance the night away at music clubs, where bands are known for their guitarists and singers. Pigeon Point beach is a five minute walk, where there is more than one beach bar. English Harbour offers a safe, trendy neighborhood, where excellent Italian and French restaurants are within walking distance. During regattas, sailors off the racing yachts prefer to stay at Pineapple House. Antigua is known for its beautiful, white sandy beaches, stunning scenery, and friendly people. Hibiscus at Pineapple House is open from late October to late May annually. Please come stay with us!
The two marinas where they berth is right under our view! My Family moved to Antigua in 1949 and established the world's first yacht charter company in Nelson's Dockyard... Our offices are in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Moving down the road, past various sk rise hotels, Temo Sports is a tennis center with bar and restaurant, famous for its great breakfasts... One of Tony's favorite dive sites is the Pillars of Hercules just outside the entrance to English Harbour, famous for visits from large, harmless, Pelagic fish. Swim in the pool while you wait for your drink... With walls 15 feet thick with slits for ventilation, the Powder Magazine is where the British stored gun powder during the 18th Century. There are four Powder Magazines in English Harbour, at Boom, Fort Berkley, Block House, and on the road to Shirley Heights. All these places are within walking distance of Pineapple House, not to mention Pigeon Point Beach in the opposite direction, where there is another French restaurant...very fancy and expensive but WORTH IT!! Very Fancy. There are other places too, not mentioned.... Of course, a stroll through Nelson's Dockyard is an absolute must, along with a visit to the museum to see model ships of Britain's Ships of the Line and artefacts, such as the planters' china, soldiers' buttons, and uniforms; it was our father who swum up the figurehead of the women's bust from the bottom of English Harbour. in 1949. During the 1960s cannon balls were to be found everywhere on the hillsides surrounding English Harbour; we have a few 25 pounders to show you at Pineapple House. After visiting the museum in Nelson's Dockyard, have lunch under the Casuarina trees and ruins of the Sail Loft (now an aquarium) on the terrace of the Admiral's Inn. Paparazzi's is a fun new restaurant located at the Antigua Slipway Marina enroute.

  • Staying at Pineapple House is a true experience, it was the best place we stayed during our trip to Antigua. Hibiscus is beautifully furnished and the views are sensational, we absolutely loved that it has no windows so you could fully appreciate the tropical sounds and breeze. We were not given a key to lock our space but it didn't bother us and I'm sure you could ask Libby about this. Note that Cleopatra is above and you can hear people walking around but again was a very minor point.

  • Libby’s place was absolutely lovely! Good location, close to a couple of restaurants and the beach. The view of the harbor was gorgeous, and the room was very clean. Libby offered advice on traveling on the island and she is a very friendly! I would definitely stay at the pineapple house when I come back to Antigua next time.

  • A really nice and unique place to stay in Antigua, We stayed at the Hibiscus suite and really enjoed it, it's a semi open space so it won't get too warm at night, and during the day you'll enjoy the little birds coming in and out of the house. The hosts are also great, really helpful and knowledgeable of the area

Merlin House is a beautifully appointed 2 bed, 2 bath villa with an Additional Apartment The bedrooms are air conditioned and are configured as a king in the master and the second bedroom can be either twins or a king. The covered balcony stretches around 2 sides of the villa, both of which have great sea views. The pool deck is built out to allow full enjoyment of the trade winds and the view down along nearby Pigeon Beach With free WIFI throughout, Merlin is the perfect vacation destination.
There is an additional apartment with a king bed and king sofabed for a 2nd family. Enquire for details
Antigua is served by daily flights from London (British Airways and Virgin) and Miami (American Airlines, New York (AA and Jetblue) and Canada, plus several charter flights. Merlin House is a 30 minute taxi ride from VC Bird International Airport and about the same from Antigua's capital St John's. Car hire can be arranged and is available from the airport or from English Harbour. Taxis are plentiful. The house is ideally situated on a hill between Falmouth Harbour and English Harbour. A 5 minute walk takes you to Pigeon Beach, to Falmouth Marina or to Nelson’s Dockyard. A 10 minute drive takes you to Galleon Beach, and Shirley Heights. English Harbour is full of great bars and restaurants and during the high season of December - May there is a fantastic buzz from the visiting yachties and holiday makers. The Summer months are generally quieter with less choice for bars and restaurants but this makes for a more relaxed atmosphere. There are two amazing beaches. pigeon Beach is a couple of minutes walk and Galleon Beach is a short drive or water taxi from Nelson's Dockyard.
  • I was thinking of giving Merlin House a negative review so that no one else would go there and we could keep it a secret. Instead I’m going to say that this is one of the best AirBnB’s we have stayed at, and absolutely unbeatable for views. Nathan’s hospitality was superb, the location is stunning and peaceful. A better place to relax and enjoy I can’t think of.

  • WOW!!! What a view!!!! We had an amazing trip!!!!! We just loved the porch and the pool in the evenings!!!!! This was the perfect house. It had everything we needed and it's a very short walk to Pigeon Beach. The AC in the bedroom was ice cold and of course the TV was nice in the evenings. We had everything we needed and the resturants in English Harbour are fantastic!! We will definitely be back. Thanks to Nathan and his wife!!!! They were great!!!! Met us at the house to welcome us and gave us great advice on where to go and things to see and do!! Thanks guys!!!!

    Courtney2018-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Merlin House was practically perfect in every way and Nathan and his wife are excellent hosts. The main things to highlight are its position (easy walking to shops, restaurants , beach etc yet private and peaceful). The view from the pool area takes some beating. It is ideal for two couples sharing as both bedrooms are large and well equipped rather than one being better than the other. Hope to return one day.

This apartment is located in English Harbor just a few minutes walk away from the Nelson's Dockyard which is one of Antigua's Historical Areas. Located about 15 minutes walk from the Pigeon Point Beach, also next door to a restaurant and bar and its right on the main road.
The location is unique as the property is right on the main road for easy access to transportation and the backyard is just a few feet from a beach.
The apartment is located in the heart of English Harbour, just a few minutes away from the world famous Nelson's Dockyard, home to Antigua Sailing Week and several sailing regattas . It is considered the yachting capital of of Antigua. It's the home of many visitors from Europe mixed with the friendly citizens. The view from the apartment is spectacular, overlooking the Falmouth Harbour and surrounding villages.
  • Really handy location near Falmouth and English Harbour. Used as a base during RORC Caribbean 600. Owner really helpful and responsive

    Tom2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Keith's place was perfect for us. Easy and central location, very quiet and very secure. (features front and back security gates). Great kitchen, bath, all new. The bay is off the backyard, the sailing school is next door. We spent an afternoon scuba diving from Dive CARIB which is also there. Also plenty of windows and when there is no breeze off the water there is a new and powerful air conditioner in each bedroom. Keith is a cool guy, easy to reach and super responsive. Our son was a rower in the Talisker Atlantic Challenge and having this place really made things comfortable and easy. Thanks, Keith!

    Mary2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Keith’s apartment is really well located for walking into Falmouth and English Harbour. They are in a quiet location on the waterfront yet close enough to all the bars and restaurants. Both apartments are brand new and really well equipped. There are two double bedrooms and a bathroom with a really efficient shower. Although the bedrooms have AC units we preferred to have the ocean breeze cool them down during the night. The kitchen is really well equipped with all the pots and pans that you will require. Also Keith had left a few basics like cooking oil and salt and pepper to help when you first arrive. The fridge freezer is brand new and a family size so ideal for all our provisions. Outside there is a washing line downstairs and access to the waterfront - ideal for a dingy if you arrive by boat. Kieth is really keen to help and was available whenever we needed to contact him. I absolutely loved staying here and will return! Caron

    Caron2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Keith’s apartment is clean and comfortable. The location a short walk from English harbour suited us perfectly. The accommodation is small but has everything that you need including very efficient air conditioning. I would happily recommend Keith’s place.

    Sheila2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Keith was a great host who responds very quickly. The apartment is very new, clean and overlooks the bay. We loved the view every morning when we woke up. There are 2 bedrooms with AC and a kitchen with everything you need to self cater. There is plenty of hot water in the kitchen and bathroom. Helpfully a tea towel and washing up liquid are provided. The town is 10 minutes walk, the supermarket (Covent Garden) is 15 minutes walk and the beach (pigeon point) is 25 minutes (you walk through the town past restaurants and bars). The bus passes the apartment so it is easy to get to St John’s (XCD 3.75) or into town if you don’t fancy walking. Tip - As the place is new if your taxi driver is unsure where they are going say it’s next to the sailing school/ Dive Carib.

    Ann2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Keith's place is a fantastic spot for anyone staying in English Harbor. A short, simple walk to plenty of restaurants, bars, grocery stores, and beaches. Wifi worked great. Would absolutely stay here again.

Salty Air Retreat is set in a calm, quiet and relaxing atmosphere on the road to Shirley Heights in English Harbour. Enjoy the Caribbean breeze on the gallery whilst admiring the views of Nelson's Dockyard. The property is a 10 minute walk into the hustle and bustle of English Harbour with a wide array of restaurants, bars, supermarkets, car rental and dive & sailing schools.
Salty Air Retreat is a typical Caribbean house with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, large living room and dining room. There is a gallery with seating and a hammock for enjoying the views and some incredible sunsets. When staying in the Green Room, you will have access to the full property and are encouraged to make yourself at home. The room has both a standing fan and a ceiling fan to compliment the Caribbean breeze. Full use of the kitchen and TV (Netflix) is available to all guests.
The neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful with lush vegetation and often a friendly hummingbird. On Sunday afternoons you can hear the faint sounds of the steel pans coming from Shirley Heights.
  • Cazz is such a lovely woman who will make sure you have everything you need while also respecting your own space. She’s kind and friendly and she has a ver nice house that has everything you need. The location might not be in the main typical area but we found it good because it was quiet and kind of in the middle of 2 areas we wanted to visit. Would recommend 100%

Located in the heart of English Harbour, just above the Antigua Yacht Club with views of Superyachts anchored in Falmouth Harbour, this King-size bed with mosquito net and curtained privacy is one of four open-air beds on the verandah of Pineapple House. Ideal for solo adventurers, this attractively appointed pad is close to nightlife, public transport, Pigeon Point beach, and Nelson's Dockyard. You’ll love Pineapple House, because of the views, the West Indian architecture, and the party life.
Delila's is a King-size bed with mosquito net, located in an alcove with curtained privacy that separates it from the three additional Queen-size beds, offering the most privacy of the four beds located on the verandah at Pineapple House. Because it's in an alcove and because it has curtained privacy in addition to a sheer mosquito net, we do recommend it to couples, although it does share a room with other guests. There is an extra charge for a second person. It shares a bathroom with cold-water shower with other guests, who use the room to change in. There is an outside shower as well, useful for guests coming in from the beach. A nearby kitchen is communal, and guests use it for cooking often.... Guests staying in Delila's should be aware that these are outside beds, where mosquitos may have some intrusion; rain can fall on the beds in a northerly; water is a precious commodity on the island; please use it sparingly. Guests are expected to bring their own booze, ice, and food to the bar; the kitchen is communal... Guests need to be aware that the party does not stop for sleepers; the main house at Pineapple House is a social place. Delila's and Pineapple House is open from late October to late May annually. Come stay with us!

After visiting the museum in Nelson's Dockyard, have lunch under the Casuarina trees and ruins of the Sail Loft (now an aquarium) on the terrace of the Admiral's Inn. Following lunch, a short hike out to Fort Berkley at the entrance to English Harbour is rewarding and not strenous at all with its powder magazine, gun ramparts, and views of Nelson's Dockyard. For exercise, swim the coastline from Galleon Beach to Freeman's Bay at the entrance to English Harbour. Take the water taxi from Nelson's Dockyard to Galleon Beach after touring English Harbour first. We have all manner of day trips in store for you!
  • What a amazing place to stay - I travel alone and this is what attracted me to Pinapple house that it’s a great place if you want to make friends or have company as a lone traveller. Pinapple house is very beautiful in a great location and Libby the host is such a lovely lady full of love light and good vibrations - I will be back 💯😍🌴☀️

    Heidi2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Wow just amazing. I’m solo traveller. Libby invited me to join in all activities which included fab meals cooked by Libby. Open air movie, dinner with others. The location could not be better. Overlooks super yachts five minutes from beach. This is a party place not suitable for introverts unless you occupy a place away from main house. For me it was wonderful.

    Dawn2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Libby’s guesthouse is simply sublime. It was even better than expected and some more! Libby was an excellent hostess - responding quickly to messages and always around if I needed her. Her place is decorated superbly with amazing personal touches everywhere. Simply beautiful! She also knows how to make a pretty decent rum punch or two! As a solo traveller it was perfect, great location and place to meet new people. Highly highly recommend!

  • This accommodation is in a perfect location in English Harbour. Libby was very prompt in her communication with us and when we checked in was very hospitable and generous with her dark and stormies. Libby put us in touch with a driver that could collect and return us to the airport. The description that Libby posted and the reviews posted by others were very honest so we were not expecting luxury and hot showers. What was a pleasant surprise was how friendly and welcoming the other guests were. Joining the other guests and Libby in the common area for socialising over rum and to the sound of music was a lovely experience and we met very varied and interesting friends.

    Don2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect stay for a solo traveller. Very easy to get to the harbour and fantastic views.

    Leonie2019-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Libby’s was such a positive and lovely experience that we wished we had decided to spend more time at Pineapple House. We were greeted with a warm welcome from Libby and other guests on our arrival. Libby helped us with local recommendations and even helped setting up a cab ride to the airport at the ungodly time of 4am. A gorgeous and unique place to stay overlooking the harbor, lovely company, and cannot say enough good things!

    Abigail2019-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • I had my doubts about Delila’s room when booking as it was unclear to me how open to the rest of the house it was. The truth is that it is a lovely room with three walls and curtains that you can open or close . If you open them you will get the most amazing view of the harbor. There is a common sitting room right outside and other beds for guests. It is all pretty open but it feels right once you are there. We were so glad we stayed here! Libby is a wonderful host and makes you feel at home. It actually feels like you’ve come to visit family. I loved the feeling and the location and the decor. Couldn’t recommend it more!

    Pamela2019-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • I had such a blast! Libby is really sweet, super friendly, and the location perfect. I felt very comfortable and at home. Definitely would recommend to stay at

The apartment overlooks the Falmouth Harbour and provides a spectacular view of the harbour and the surrounding villages. There are restaurants, bars and supermarkets at walking distance.
  • Great place. Great value and close to everything in English Harbor. I would definitely stay here again.

  • Everything great! Completely uncomplicated. Climate is great. Parking in front of the house and not far from Nelsons Dockyard. I was there for the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge. There are often expensive hotels in English Harbor, but the price of this accommodation was really great. Keith is super nice and helpful. We recommend!

  • Calypso Villa... What an experience.! We arrived in the dark to Bruce And June. two of the most welcoming people you would ever want to great you. After we settled in and grabbed our first cocktail, there was a great view overlooking the harbor with the twinkle of the lights. This being our third trip to the lovely island I was so excited for our family of first timers to see the curtain open in the morning to really enjoy the views in which I knew were coming. Then it was off to Galleon Beach. The report from AquaScott (brother-in-law) was its like being in an aquarium. Hiking was great! The pillars were great! The eats in English Harbor were delish. The views were ones that can only be created by God. If you are really looking to visit Antigua and are looking to be in a peaceful place with all of the above mentioned than Calypso Villa is the spot. Thank you Bruce and June! We look forward to seeing you soon and perhaps being you neighbors. ☺️

  • We had a fantastic stay at Calypso. June was a wonderful host, greeting us on arrival and making sure we had everything we needed throughout the stay. The villa is in a fantastic location with wonderful views over the bay, easy access to English harbour and great walks. Highly recommended! We hope to be back!

  • June is a fantastic host and villa calypso is everything you dream of and more! She was accommodating right from the beginning. We were a group of 7 women with lots of questions and she answered all with a smile. June quickly became a friend to us all and we look forward to our next visit to Antigua!

  • The villa was awesome. Insane view, spacious and amazing hospitality from June. Our group appreciated the local tips from great restaurants to our rental car provider. Overall great communication and easy check in made this one of our best trips.

    Joel2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • The Calypso House is a dream home with the best view of the Harbor. The home is exactly what's pictured in the advertising and more. The beach is great for snorkeling with giant sea turtles and colorful fish. The rooms are comfortable and the pool is a great extra feature. They was 7 of us and had plenty of room. It was off season so many places to eat were closed. But we did find near by restaurants. Well worth a stay here!!

Hermitage Cottage is a hidden gem of a cottage. Located in a stunning and very private situation it has beautiful views of the ocean over Turtle Bay to the south and English Harbour to the east. This cottage is for lovers of nature who like peace, quiet and seclusion and who prefer to live off the beaten track. Renovated by local artist Jennifer Meranto, the space is steeped in charm and romance. And the space is all yours with no sharing.
    • Surrounded by nature, very rural and peaceful • 5 minute walk to beach down dry river bed • Rental car necessary • Access is by foot using stone steps and a bridge over a dry river bed • Amazing hiking from the cottage using local paths • For easy going travellers • One large double bedroom + verandah and shower room Experience the real 'off the beaten track' Antigua when you stay here. There is one very spacious double bedroom with two walk in closets and a verandah with spectacular views over the ocean. This is upstairs along with the spacious shower room. Downstairs you have a small kitchen which is open plan with a large living area, dining table and verandah with hammock. There is another outside seating area at the back of the cottage. The garden is large and wraps all around the cottage. You can even take a shower in the ruins of an old building in the garden. The cottage is secluded and extremely peaceful and quiet. Please note that the cottage is designed to be lived in with open doors and windows. The breeze usually blows through keeping you cool and there is a mosquito net over the bed. But this is not an air conditioned, closed off space like a hotel room. There may well be mosquitoes especially in the summer when there has been rain.
Turtle Bay is a very quiet neighbourhood. It is a short walk from the cottage down a dry river bed to the beach at Dieppe Bay or to Turtle Bay.
  • I really lived the cottage. It was so peaceful. Beautiful views. The road getting there was a bit tricky aside from that it was wonderful.

    Daphne2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We are always searching for tranquility, nature, secluded privacy and a great view during our holidays: Jo's Condo got everything and is truly a hidden gem with Jennifer being our wonderful local host and always being there for us providing any assistence, WIFI, help and tipps, responding within minutes: my girlfriend even bought two paitings from her (she is an artist) which are now in our apartment in Berlin. The Cottage is nicely build as a 2 area setup, downstairs with kitchen (we cooked a lot), veranda with outdoor dining table and living room (plus outdoor BBQ), upstairs with a great sleeping room + amazing ocean view, which is incredible when you wake up. The Cottage is build more or less open plan, located on the hill side in the bushes next to an old river bed, no keys (unecessary, we never locked any door, very safe area), no windows and always a breeze from the ocean (no A/C) - to be fully clear, this apt is not for you if you look for an A/C hotel room experience or have problems with a bird flying through your linving room. But if you are a nature lover and love to spend your holidays outdoors - this one is for you. For driving, a 4 WD Jeep is a must due to the road conditions. My girlfriend also felt in love with the two cats from the neighbouring big main house, they came over checking for us. We were also allowed (Thanks Jo!!) to use the outdoor facilities and the huuuge infinity swimming pool from the main house during the time when it was not booked (so may or may not applicable for your stay!) which added the luxury part to our perfect stay...In summary: we will be back! :-)

    Alex2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible week us and the jungle! Super experience 😊

    Teresa2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Jo’s place is a true experience! Fully engulfed by the canopy overlooking English Harbour, it provided us with a great space to meditate and rebuild our personal awareness. The house is a beautiful “bird house” like structure with an infinite pool that is indescribable. Healing, nurturing and intimate. A great place for a couples retreat or small family events. We’ll be back as soon as possible!

  • Lovely stay near English Harbour! It was so charming and relaxing. Nice to get away from it all while still being close to town/action. There are some great bars and restaurants nearby. My favorite beach, Half Moon Bay, is a 30 minute drive, but well worth it. The best activity was to relax at the house, reading, listening to music, and watching the beautiful sea view.

Self contained beautiful apartment above a double garage with great views of the sea. Set within the grounds of our luxury villa in a small community .
Our studio apartment is an ideal setting for a single person or couple wishing to not only enjoy some peace and quiet but also be within a stones throw from the thriving communities of Falmouth and English Harbours. It is set within the grounds of the main villa and amongst an area occupied by 12 other beautiful properties around a seven minute drive from English Harbour.
As stated we are a 7 minutes drive from English Harbour. Sea is 300 yards down the hill. The beach there is ok but not one we recommend and better beaches are available to drive too. The nearest being Pigeon Beach behind Falmouth Harbour.
  • Thanks for the stay at Willoughby Heights, the studio was clean and well furnished, exactly as described. Will was always available to help with questions about the property and the area, including transport options

  • Amazing property with beautiful views of the sea. Everything was as described. Quite frankly pictures will never do this place justice. Thank you for making my trip to Antigua an unforgettable one & thank you to Wilmer for assisting us with all our questions and concerns. The only thing I recommend to future guest is to rent a car because the villa is a bit secluded but not impossible to get to. Almost everything on the island is within a 20-30 minute drive. I highly recommend this villa!!

  • Michael’s space is truly beautiful - much bigger and more stylish than even the pictures show - the view is breathtaking from the patio door that fully open to a wonderful view of the bay. A few niggles here and there, but nothing that would put us off returning. Really worth the rate - it’s very well turned out - you won’t be disappointed. A car is definitely needed though as it’s a way away from anything in terms of food, but the quite location is very idyllic.

  • It was so lovely to stay this place. The host Wilmer is super friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. it's a great location as well as a brilliant studio, close to a quiet beach not to far from amenities. Everyone was easy to contact and made us feel at ease and relaxed. Sonia and Calvin

    Calvin2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was wonderful, the views from the patio once you open the folding wall of glass are quite incredible. The apartment was well stocked with amenities to get you started. I would recommend renting one of the owners 4x4 trucks as the roads in Antigua are not in the best shape....(you will know what I mean in no time upon arrival). The communication from the management team was excellent and the local manager Wilmer would do anything for you.....he truly is a wonderful person. The apartment is a little off the beaten track and offers wonderful modern amenities in a private, safe and quiet setting. Go and enjoy your stay you won’t be disappointed.

  • The house is lovely; stylish, well equipped, and in a beautiful, quiet location overlooking the bay. Thanks to Google map's imaginary road, it is not easy to find, but once you do, it's heavenly.

  • You will not be disappointed with this villa. It’s spacious and the views are absolutely amazing! The villa is located countryside compared to the rest of the rest of the island so, there will be a 10-30 minute drive to restaurants or activities, but it’s worth it. If we ever come back to Antigua, we are definitely booking with Michael and Wil again!

    Alexis2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Michael’s place was better than expected. His partner Will, on the island who manages the property was an excellent tour guide . He also assisted us with anything we needed and was super responsive. Beautiful views, quiet, great amenities and perfect vibes. I will be back very soon.

  • Although I made changes to my trip last minute, Gary was gracious enough to work through with me.

  • Highly recommended and amazing apartment/facilities/gym. Pictures don't do it justice. Felt brand new and spotlessly clean with extra touches like fresh towels and bedding which were an unexpected surprise. Location is amazing, 10 mins walk from the beach, restaurants/bars on your desktop and a view you'll never tire of. Gary was a great host, always around and responsive if we needed anything and we couldn't fault anything during our two week stay. If you're thinking of booking just go ahead, you won't be disappointed...

  • This place is fab and Gary and the team superb. Amazing location, great views, beautiful apartment and a superb gym. Loved it.

    Keith2019-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • This rental is truly amazing. Start with the view- you are looking out directly onto Falmouth harbour from an elevated location so you have an entire panoramic view of the beautiful harbor. The condo is brand new and still feels comforting and like home. You are less than 1/4 mile from everything you would need (covent garden grocery, all restaurants and bars, dive Carib). Air conditioning works great and the kitchen amenities allows you to cook a few of your own meals or heat left overs up. They provide all necessary utensils and kitchen requirements. The balcony is in one word spectacular. It is spacious and has a table to appreciate the sunset and sunrise - I ate breakfast on the balcony every day and really allowed me to unwind. The gym on site is more than you would expect. It is fully equipped and has yoga and other compound movement classes. Gary was responsive within minutes to every request I had. I plan to stay here again in April. If you book this location your expectations will be exceeded.

Garden apartment situated at Cobbs Cross on the hill overlooking Falmouth Harbour, 1km from the marinas and English Harbour. Self contained apartment with one bedroom, bathroom, living/dinning room and large wrap around deck with hammock and outside furniture. Washing machine in separate area for guest use. All kitchen amenities and solar hot water. Good Wifi. Owners live upstairs and have separate entrance, very safe and quiet area. Two small dogs on premises.
  • Amazing! Sarah , our host lives upstairs but this ground floor flat is completely private with our own veranda complete with a two person hammock and comfortable high-end outdoor seating. We travel a lot and always choose self catered accommodation. We stayed for 15 days in February 2020 and found the place clean and very well equipped with a fully functioning kitchen; many AIRBNB properties have more of a kitchenette . I was particularly impressed that several sets of fresh towels and bathroom mats were provided. The bed was incredibly comfortable with a good quality medium to firm mattress unlike many other AIR BNB rentals which I have found to have cheap soft mattresses. The shower was geat and WIFI good. The veranda looked out to a beautiful garden with private access to clothes line. There is also a washing machine for our use. I was slightly apprehensive that there was no air con unit at the property as we have visited Antigua before and the nights can be quite close. However, although it was warm in the night there are ceiling fans in all the rooms and also a large and very efficient free standing fan in the bedroom. I was especially impressed with Sarah's kind touches ; she responds promptly to any queries and kindly provided us with a beach umbrella and even a small cooler to use for beach days. In addition she installed a mosquito net over the bed at my request in advance of arriving. The flat remained incredibly mosquito free as there are mosquito screens on every window and doorway. I certainly recommend using mosquito repellent sprays and burning coils when sitting out to avoid getting bitten as there are a few around. . We highly recommend this property.

  • Very neat and clean. The house has exactly what a guest might need in any occasion. Sarah has been a kind and attentive host and we will surely come back to the same house once back to Antigua! Great deal!

English Harbour, Saint Paul, Antigua and Barbuda

Located in the heart of English Harbour, just above the Antigua Yacht Club with views of the Superyachts anchored in Falmouth Harbour, this Queen-size bed with mosquito net is one of four open-air beds on the verandah of Pineapple House. Ideal for solo adventurers, this attractively appointed pad is close to nightlife, public transport, Pigeon Point beach, and Nelson's Dockyard. You’ll love Pineapple House, because of the views, the West Indian architecture, gardens, and friendly atmosphere.
So-called because of the speakers on either side of the bed, the Boom Boom bed is one of four Queen-size beds, each with mosquito net, which doubles as privacy curtain, located in the main house of Pineapple House, overlooking the Antigua Yacht Club and Falmouth Harbour in the town of English Harbour. The Boom Boom Bed has a mosquito net and shares a bathroom with cold-water shower with other guests. Privacy is at a nil; therefore the bed is recommended for one person, even though it does accommodate two comfortably, and two are allowed, as long as you realize privacy is at a nil, and there will be an extra charge for an additional person. It is an open-air bed, subject to mosquito intrusion. In a northerly, rain can come in. All four beds on the verandah share an adjoining bathroom with shower, and there is an additional outside shower, ideal for use after the beach. Guests are welcome to cook in the shared kitchen. The house has Wifi and a Gazebo and is close to many pubs, where music plays until 1 am. There are many fine restaurants in the area, as well as some inexpensive ones. Pigeon Point Beach is five minutes away with two beach bars. Nelson's Dockyard is a five-minute walk in the other direction. The view from Pineapple House is of Superyachts at anchor at Antigua Yacht Club Marina, and the mountains of Falmouth Harbour. We are open from late October through May each year. Located on a hillside overlooking Falmouth Harbour and the Antigua Yacht Club, we have many steps on the property. The Boom Boom Bed is open annually from late October to late May.
The two marinas where they berth is right under our view! My Family moved to Antigua in 1949 and established the world's first yacht charter company in Nelson's Dockyard... Tony dives the Pillars of Hercules at the entrance to English Harbour, famous for its visits from large pelagic fish. Gay does food well. With walls 15 feet thick with slits for ventilation, the Powder Magazine is where the British stored gun powder during the 18th Century. There are four Powder Magazines in English Harbour, at Boom, Fort Berkley, Block House, and on the road to Shirley Heights. All these places are within walking distance of Pineapple House, not to mention Pigeon Point Beach in the opposite direction, where there is another French restaurant...very fancy and expensive but WORTH IT!! Very Fancy. There are other places too, not mentioned.... Libby's friend Greg operates Barbuda Express (ferry boat), which offers daily boat rides to Barbuda, where lobster picnics can be arranged on the 20 mile long beach, famous for its turquoise water. For exercise, swim the "coastline" from Galleon Beach to Freeman's Bay at the entrance to English Harbour. Take the water taxi from Nelson's Dockyard to Galleon Beach after touring English Harbour first. Paparazzi's is a wonderful new restaurant located at the Antigua Slipway nearby. We have all manner of day trips in store for you!
