  • Me and my boyfriend stayed here from the 24th of February to the 27th, it was amazing, Chloe was so lovely and available to answer any questions we had, although they stayed next door, they didn’t bother you unless you needed them, the thoughtful touches they put in for arrival, Prosecco, cookies, fresh cakes, and the essentials in the fridge, it was so thoughtful, the cabin was amazing, so spacious and clean and very modern, it’s exactly how it is pictured, the surrounding area was gorgeous and there was so much to do, the hot tub was great, it was an overall amazing stay, it was in the perfect location for a perfect cabin, would 100% be back and recommend it for others, we had the best few days away here, thank you chloe for such a lovely stay.

  • Homely and well-designed little pod that we enjoyed a little valentine’s stay at. Despite the cold weather and rain, we managed to get some use out of the Hot tub and walked just 10 minutes to a nearby Inn for dinner! Chloe was super responsive when we had any questions and was happy to help if required. Lovely little treats on arrival and plenty of little entertainment bits to keep you occupied for the night! Would love to return at some point in the future!

  • Amazing hosts. They responded quickly and helped with everything we needed from leading up to our visit all the way to when we left. They are very accommodating and made recommendations for where we could visit. They had teas coffee sugar and milk with biscuits on our arrival. The cottage was beautiful and clean within a fantastic location so very easy to walk to places. I can’t say enough how pleased we were!

    Nicole2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Pauline and Joep's place was lovely! Joep met us at the door for check-in (although you can check in independently as well) and gave us a tour of the property. He mentioned everything you'd need to know from the heating to their very cool electric shower and towel warmer. They have some great amenities such as tea and coffee to start you out with on your stay. They also have a washer in the home and then a dryer just a few steps away in a shed in the courtyard. The shed with the dryer was also super clean and had some extra clothes lines for hanging up delicates. Their home was super clean and had such cute images of hairy coos on the walls, which my friend and I personally loved. There are plenty of cozy blankets to use in the living room/bedroom. The TV situation was also great with cable options and an option to cast from your device to the TV. The location is fantastic - right next to the River Ness. It's close to all the city's restaurants and shops too. Just a two minute walk away is the local Tesco (so convenient) and their home is a ten minute walk away from the bus station/train station. Would highly reccomend their home for your stay in Inverness!

2 double bedroom, 2 bathroom riverside modern flat with private parking, outside space, 5 mins walk to city centre. Spring mattresses with down toppers, down duvets/pillows and luxury cotton linens. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk, butter, cereals, bread, marmalade, jam for breakfast. Unlimited download internet. Ideal for a city break for two couples or business trip to the highland capital.
My flat is on the river side with lovely views out onto the river with plenty of outside seating, plants, flowers and space to enjoy the vistas and the sound of the Ness flowing by. All mod cons equipped kitchen - espresso maker, washing machine/dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, bar style dining table, walnut work surfaces. Shared communal close to access the flat. Good, friendly neighbours. Situated 5 minutes walk from the city centre - close to all amenities. On-site private parking. Bright, light and airy, clean and tidy place to stay.
Riverview is situated in the centre of Inverness in a quiet cul de sac just off one of the main traffic routes in the city. Surprisingly it is very quiet. Riverview is a block of 38 flats, 29 of which are privately owned with the remaining 9 housing association. There are some owner-occupiers, though most of the flats are rented out - some to long term tenants and some like what I'm doing with airbnb, to short-term visitors. Inverness is a city and I'm not blind to its faults but after having lived here for 10 years I find the people open and friendly, more friendly and inquisitive of strangers than you might find in a larger city down south. People are less suspicious and generally open to helping out whatever the situation. Tourism is one of the biggest income generators in the region so everyone is well used to visitors.
  • Amanda's place is conveniently situated - 10 minute walk from lots of restaurants and bars in the city, can also walk to the castle. The walk by the river is pleasant. Her living room opens to amazing river views where you can watch sunrise and sunset. The place is sparkling clean, and she was so kind as to fully stock her kitchen for us. We really enjoyed her home - thumbs up and five stars!

    Sharmin2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda's place is cosy, very clean and welcoming. Check in was easy and we got so much information on how everything works- so, it was all very simple. Communication was nice, quick and efficient. The apartment is situated close to Inverness city centre- you can walk there in about 10 mins. There is a great Fish & Chips shop just across the bridge. On site parking was very convenient. The apartment is well equipped and it is a quiet neighborhood. We would definitely come and stay again. Highly recommended !

    Sandra2020-02-24T00:00:00Z

  • Love, love loved it! Beautiful river outside, extremely comfortable place to stay. Warm, quiet and yet near enough to town and the amenities. Inverness is a beautiful place, and I would really suggest having a wander on the islands in the middle of the river Ness - truly special.

    Carey2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect place! If you want to stay in the view is stunning and the apartment is cozy. If you want to explore the location can’t be beat as there are numerous historical sites, shops, and restaurants to choose from, many within walking distance if you don’t want to drive. Amanda gave thorough and detailed instructions that made our stay easy and stress-free. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with the essentials and the apartment was clean and tidy. I highly recommend staying here and hope to come back again!

    Renee2020-01-10T00:00:00Z

  • Do not hesitate to book this little slice of heaven! Tracy is a wonderful host, helping with a birthday cake for my husband and even leaving a box of choccies for him. The lodge itself is amazing, spotlessly clean, super comfy beds, all mod cons and the hot tub is a delight! We will be booking again and can't wait to go back.

    Claire2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely time visiting the Lodge, It was a great first Valentines weekend as a new Mr & Mrs. Tracy was very prompt in answering any questions we had and was kind enough to add the extra touch of a welcome box of chocolates :) Would definitely recommend.

  • Just back from an excellent stay. Everything in the lodge was sparkling and we loved the added extras of bread, butter, jam and milk. Tracy was quick to respond when we had any questions and provided lots of information about the local area. Was a lovely stay and would definitely recommend staying here.

    Natalie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect get away in an amazing area. A nice quiet area but still local enough to shops, restaurants and a takeaway. A very cosy stay, we will be back for sure!

    Grant2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Just home from a fantastic weekend away. Tracey gave us a warm welcome to begin with. The lodge was stunning/ very modern and the hot tub was a great feature. We loved the little quirks i.e. the board games and the bread etc, very thoughtful. The drive to Lewiston/ the river at the back of the lodge was so peaceful and being in that part of Scotland reminded us of the beauty of the country. Thank you Tracey, we hope to return in the future!

    Emma2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here over New year. Absolutely fantastic, Tracy really has thought of everything. The lodge was just immaculate and so cozy, quiet and private. We will definitely be back and have already recommended to friends. Beautiful walks near by too.

A small, self contained chalet which is custom designed and built for stopovers in a cosy and modern space.

  • We used this place as a stopover on our journey from Edinburgh to Isle of Skye. I wish we had longer here! It was beautiful and a very well laid out space. I think it’s the smallest tiny house we’ve ever stayed in, but more than met our needs.

  • The hideaway was just perfect for our short stay. Warm, clean, private & cosy! Margot and her family were very hospitable. We walked to the Loch Ness Inn for dinner which was lovely too. The hideaway is perfectly located for part of your Highlands adventure. Thank you!

  • I was really happy to visit this place. Everything was perfect but maybe it would be a little bit far if you visit here without car.

  • The Loch Ness hideaway is a gem! We had a great time exploring the hills around Loch Ness. The bed is truly the comfiest I have ever slept in - lovey!

  • This cute and oh so cosy cabin was perfect our our honeymoon getaway and Margot was lovely when greeting us- so welcoming!

    Ria2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Margot and Margaret's Hideaway was a perfect little spot to stay for a few days. The location works very well for access to Fort William, Inverness and the Cairngorms and the local Urquhart Castle was within a mile. The Hideaway itself was perfectly accurate to the pictures and had beautiful Harris Tweed fittings. The kitchen area was very well kitted which meant we could make multiple meals in the Hideaway. The bed was also very comfortable and the whole stay a very cosy and enjoyable one.

    Sophie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We stumbled across this wonderful place while looking for somewhere close to stay near Loch Ness and Ben Nevis. This place was absolutely perfect and is such a cute place to stay, my partner and I absolutely loved it. Has everything you need and has all the attractions nearby. Parking on site was a bonus and Margaret was so lovely and kind and gave us all the information we needed! This is a MUST stay and I mean that.

    Adam2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The LochNess hideaway has everything you need. It is very cozy, nice looking and also gives you privacy. We definitely come back, whenever we visit Scotland again.

My place is close to Loch Ness and public transport links to Inverness. You’ll love my place because of the natural light, modern open plan living space and mature woodland garden. My place is good for solo adventurers. I work from home running a natural yarn dyeing business, Loch Ness Knitting. So I am on hand to provide information about the local area. Please be aware we also have two friendly cats.
First Floor bedroom, with single bed. Traditional sloped ceiling and large window. Your bathroom with power shower is adjacent to the room.
The village of Drumnadrochit is at the heart of Loch Ness. We are within walking distance of the Nessieland and Loch Ness exhibition centres. Boat trips to explore the Loch and Castle Urquhart are also available in the village centre. For evening meals we recommend booking the Fiddlers or the Loch Ness Inn. Cafes and Pubs in the village centre are also excellent. For a hearty breakfast we recommend the A82 cafe around the corner from the house.
  • Beautiful modern home in the heart of Loch Ness. Amazing surroundings and easy to get to everything.

  • Had a nice time staying with Dwynwyn and her family. Unfortunately, I was too exhausted to spend much time with them but the accommodation was great!

    Sabine2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Both are very nice and helpful. The apartment is clean and you can cook something in the kitchen. One cat is very sweet the other is not. The location is great. It is only about 3 minutes to the snack bar and the supermarket. You can also walk to the ruins (but costs a lot of admission).

The Bothy is a traditional travellers' dwelling place (bothy) of which many can be found throughout the Scottish Highlands. Betty's Bothy has recently been tastefully renovated with modern features to provide comfort for today's travellers. It's nestled in a quiet little corner of the picturesque village of Drumnadrochit on Loch Ness, with a quick walk to cafés, restaurants, shops and many tourist attractions and activities.
The side wall of The Bothy is south facing which means that the sun shines in the window at the front in the morning then slowly moves round to the side where it stays most of the day (weather permitting). This is a nice spot to sit outside and take in the view of the hills. There is a lawn to the front of The Bothy, which includes a parking space for guests' use. The Bothy is in a very pretty spot and a short walk up the hill will give you fabulous views over the loch. It is surrounded by trees, so you will hear beautiful birdsong in the morning and if you listen very carefully, owls hooting in the evening.
Drumnadrochit is a picturesque and popular tourist village set on the side of Loch Ness. There are many sights and landmarks including Urquhart Castle (open all year), which has a prominent position overlooking the loch, Corrimony Chambered Cairn, the loch itself and the breath-taking views from Meall Fuar-Mhonaidh, to name a few. There are many walks of all levels from the village and Glen Affric is 15 miles to the west of Drumnadrochit. Apart from the beauty and wildlife of Glen Affric, it's a place with endless opportunities for sightseeing and outdoor activities. There is also a Munro or two for the eager hill walker. From April to October there is an extensive list of activities available to suit everyone. The Loch cruises are particularly popular but you can also book water sports activities at the tourist Information centre or in some of the souvenir shops. Drumnadrochit has a number of excellent cafés and restaurants and The Village Green is a popular place for picnics.
  • The cottage was cute and cosy. We loved it. It was warm and inviting.

    Kylie2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful little place to stay in a really nice location. There’s plenty to do around the local area and in Inverness. Jacqui ensured there was plenty of information on the local area and even recommended places to visit. There was plenty of tea, coffee and milk and even shortbread! Inside there’s lots to keep you entertained in the evening (DVD’s, games, tv etc). I’d highly recommend staying here if you’re into scenery and a peaceful stay. Thanks Jacqui we’ll be back soon!

    Reece2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Jacqui's place. Jacqui is a really nice and friendly host. The place was really nice and cosy with loads of games and movies to keep you entertained. The location is really peaceful and close to beautiful nature. The location was perfect for us as we didn't go in a car. The time we spent there was absolutely magical and we definitely would want to go back!

    Matineh2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • The Bothy was brilliant and exactly as advertised. Would definitely recommend!

    Timothy2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Bettys bothy is probably my favourite ever find on Airbnb! Location was ideal for us as we didn’t have a car, so was within walking distance to bus stop, shop and restaurant. There is no phone signal in the Bothy, which for us was perfect as it gave us some much needed time offline. There are lots of books and dvds to keep you entertained if the weather isn’t so great. We had such a comfortable stay and thoroughly enjoyed all the lovely little touches Jacqui left. Thank you!

    Megan2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice location (central highlands, right near Loch Ness), on a very quiet back-road (only one car drove past us), really clean, nice touches (complimentary shortbread!), Jacqui was really friendly with quick replies, and it was great to stay in a traditional style bothy.

Urquhart Bay Croft is a brand new luxury self-catered renovation with beautiful views across Loch Ness and Glen Urquhart. Downstairs it has a double height entrance hallway, one king-size bedroom, and separate family bathroom, while upstairs it boasts a fully equipped open plan kitchen/dining area, lounge with comfy sofa and free standing log burner, and double doors opening to decked area and the wider south facing garden.
We are Simon and Annie Greenlay. We first saw Urquhart Bay cottage in 2014 and fell in love with it. We have run Urquhart Bay BnB for 2yrs(see our other listings for reviews). We knew immediately that we wanted to live in this peaceful place with its one-of-a-kind views over Loch Ness. The Croft is our latest project that we have put our heart and soul into, and look forward to sharing it with our guests. The Croft is ideally situated close to the beautiful Highland village of Drumnadrochit, and is only a 2 minute walk from the iconic Urquhart Castle. It sits in extensive private gardens to explore offering stunning views of Loch Ness and Glen Urquhart. Downstairs, there is a large kingsize bedroom with original bothy window offering views from the bed across the loch, and a separate luxury bathroom with roll-top bath and separate shower with rain head. Upstairs, there is a large open plan kitchen/diner and lounge with free standing log burner, that also has a pull out sofa bed for children. We have worked with local craftsmen to restore and enhance the original building, so that you are never far from a view of the Loch(even from your bed!), and couldn’t be closer to the iconic Urquhart Castle, just a few minutes’ walk away. For the cosier evenings we have a large log burner, SMART TV and high speed WiFi available throughout. The Croft is furnished to a very high standard, with many items hand crafted and knitted. Guests can expect high quality toiletries, Egyptian cotton linen throughout, and we are happy to provide fresh eggs daily from our free range highland hens. The Croft is a great base to explore the highlands, and there are many walking routes directly from the doorstep to explore the local views across the iconic Loch, or bump into some of the local wildlife such as many local deer or birds of prey who live near the Loch. We have plenty of parking available and are a short walk from the local village of Drumnadrochit.
Peaceful and in an area of outstanding beauty. A short walk down to the village on a path.
  • Wow what a stunning find! We were a little nervous being first time airnbnb-ers but our experience couldn't have been better. The croft is the perfect cosy hideaway and Annie and Simon are wonderful hosts.

    Morgan2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Annie & Simon’s beautiful Croft. For me, it was perfect, faultless even. The Croft is beautifully designed, warm, cosy and welcoming with stylish, personal touches. In a nutshell, the bed is super comfy, bathroom is great, kitchen has everything you need, and the living room has a wood burning stove, not to mention THAT view! The balcony area is a peaceful outside space to sit and enjoy the view of Loch Ness and the wooded hillside behind the croft. I’d say the croft is ideally located to explore the area, with short walks direct to the village and beyond. There is a large Co-op and good pharmacy, and the Loch Ness Inn pub is nearby. Simon was generous with helpful local advice - thank you for pointers on Glen Affric (I did the Affric-Kintail trail for longer hike) and the Great Glen Way (check out the pottery)- I did both and loved every minute! I can’t wait to return! Thank you!

    Sarah2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! What a beautiful and luxurious place to stay. The Croft was incredibly well equipped and decorated to a very high spec. It was really warm, comfortable, and relaxing. Just what my partner and I needed. We really didn’t want to leave. It’s also very well located with beautiful views over Urquhart Bay, and just around the corner from Urquhart Castle. Simon met us on arrival which was quite late in the evening, and showed us around the Croft and gave us lots of useful information about local walks. We would love to return to the Croft again.

  • This is a fabulous find for anyone exploring the Loch Ness, North West Scotland area. Cosy, comfortable, clean and charming. If you are looking for a lovely secluded place to retreat to, this is it. Take you hiking boots. There are some fabulous views. We loved our visit.

  • The Croft has awesome views looking over Loch Ness and has everything you need for a relaxing weekend getaway. Lovely local restaurant called The Loch Ness Inn, which I’d highly recommend too! Thanks Annie & Simon. Hope to see you again soon!

    Tom2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic accomodation in an amazing location. The croft is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Would recommend for anyone looking to stay in this area. Thanks again to Simon and Annie for having us!

    Mark2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing house to stay in! The house exceeded all our expectations- not only is it a beautifully designed house (all the windows are perfectly placed so you maximise all the views) but it is in a perfect location, only 4 mins walk to Urquhart Castle and a 5mins drive to local amenities and overlooks the beautiful Loch Ness! There are lots of lovely touches around the house and it’s very beautifully decorated. The bathroom was spotless and the bath was by far the best I’ve ever used! I wish I could have taken it home with me! Will be recommending to all our family and friends!

  • Absolutely cannot fault Loch Ness studio, we’ve had a wonderful stay! Lovely, clean centrally located place thank you!

  • A great space for one person or couple who want immediate access to local area. Road side location which is very convenient but does mean that you will hear traffic. This could bother people seeking a quieter highland experience. That said traffic always finished by bed time and will not be noticed over the sound of the TV. Welcoming hosts who leave you to it but are available if needed. I recommend.

    Adam2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • My parents stayed for two nights and absolutely loved it. There is a grocery store near by and lots of great hiking trails. The host responded quickly and the check in was super easy. We highly recommend staying at this place. Thanks again!

Traditional cottage for a couple in the centre of the village of Drumnadrochit. 3 restaurants & shop nearby. Parking and wifi available, and a small garden. This comfortable, cosy cottage is an ideal base to explore the area. We accept dogs here.
The Wee Cottage is a typical highland cottage - two up two down - that is two rooms upstairs and two down. With a feature stone wall and wood burning stove in the surprisingly spacious kitchen/diner and a cosy sitting room. As in most of these cottages there are sloping ceilings upstairs, you will probably bang your head but you soon get used to it! The cottage is compact but therefore cosy and in a great location in the centre of the village right next door to Fiddlers Restaurant and Malt Whisky Bar (March-Oct) Parking right outside if you have a car and on the bus route if you don't. Although on the main road through Drumnadrochit it sits at 90 degrees to the road with no windows overlooking the road. We offer free Wifi and allow dogs, subject to the usual pet rules and there is a small enclosed grassed area separate from the cottage with a table and chairs. We sometimes have specified arrival days but can more flexible sometimes, especially for stays of 4 days or more........just ask and we can see what we can do!
Drumnadrochit and The Wee Cottage is within walking distance of Loch Ness and Nessie hunting. Urquhart Castle is close by and there are many walks right on the doorstep. You can reach most places that you will want to visit, ie Skye & The Cairngorms just to mention two within an hour to an hour and a half, as we are right on the A82 and have access to the A9 and The North and South at Inverness only 20 minutes(ish) away. Locally we have a couple of restaurants within walking distance and The Benleva pub is just along the road.
  • The perfect base for exploring this beautiful area

  • We stayed in Drumnadrochit for three nights at this lovely Wee Cottage, it was perfect for exploring Loch Ness and the surrounding Glens, two nice pubs that are only a short walk away at either end of town with great hospitality from the locals. Sitting by the log burner in the evening was lovely as night set in, would recommend and stay here again if we are in the area.

    Eoin2019-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Cute, quirky little cottage. Good location for exploring the area, and only a short drive to Inverness for anything you might need. Does get a bit cold so hopefully you know how to build a fire!

  • The wee Cottage is a wonderful place to stay! We loved our stay and the town of Drumnadrochit! You have everything you need while exploring Loch Ness. A perfect space and location!

  • This cottage is in a perfect position for anything to do with Nessie (and more...Inverness,Culloden etc...). There was a sonar boat tour of the loch, and the Nessie exhibition centre just up the road. There were a couple of very very lovely local cafes for breakfast, and the restaurant we went to (next door but one) had great food and lovely staff. Kate, our host, was fantastic, she left some lovely little touches in the cottage. If we came here again we wouldn’t choose to go anywhere else.

    Simon2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is cosy, but well-equipped, and the location is perfect. Janet was also so kind as to give us a lift from the bus station when we came in and to let us borrow a couple of kitchen utensils. The bus stop is about 10 mins away and Drumnadrochit is a good place to explore the Great Glen Way and the Affric Trail from. A perfect place to see Scotland from!

  • Great compact place in a lovely location. The flat has everything you need for a stay in the Highlands. Perfect size for couples but maybe too small for a family. Notes for guests are at the back of the visitor book, which we missed until late in our stay! Fast WiFi!

The Old Schoolhouse is a period property lying high above the southern shores of Loch Ness. It is a perfect base for exploring the Scottish Highlands. Loch Ness, Inverness and Moray Firth, the Nevis range and Cairngorms National Park are all within easy reach, whilst the beautiful west coast and the Isle of Skye lie only two hours’ drive away. Or stay put and enjoy views of Loch Mhor and Monadhliath Mountains from the house and garden, or read a book by the wood-burner in the cosy living room.
Built in 1878, and a teacher’s house for over 100 years, the Old Schoolhouse has been simply and tastefully renovated, retaining much of its original character and features. It is warm and cosy with a log burner and central heating and boasts views of Loch Mhor (2 min walk from the house) and the Monadhliath Mountains. The house adjoins the Old School which is home to the owners. We run an organic small-holding (where we grow vegetables and keep chickens) and often have garden produce to share with guests. The property is very comfortable and homely with a well-equipped kitchen, a bath (with shower over), a master-bedroom with views of the loch and a twin room (which can be made up into a super-king size bed). We are very family-friendly and can offer the use of a cot and highchair. A garden at the front of the property is for sole use of guests, while the rear garden is shared by guests and owners alike, so please take this into consideration. The area is rich in history (from hut circles and cairns, to battlefields and castles) and in wildlife (pine-marten, deer, red squirrels, osprey, white tailed and golden eagle, Slavonian grebes and divers). With miles of tracks, quiet roads and forest, or the open solitude of loch, hill and moor, there is plenty of scope for fishing, cycling or walking straight from the house. Local fishing trips and art lessons can be arranged on request.
Errogie is a very small hamlet nestled away in the hills behind Loch Ness. There is a small post office/shop and tearooms in Foyers (15 mins drive) but Inverness (35 mins drive) or Fort Augustus (30 mins drive) are the nearest towns, so please stock up with food before you arrive. Inverness airport is a 45-50 min drive.
  • Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the old school house. The house itself is beautiful and location stunning. It was well equipped, with lovely personal touches. The fabulous garden and chickens were an added bonus for our children. Great communication from Eleanor before we arrived and very welcoming when we got there. We would happily stay again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

  • What we did right: come to this place. What we did wrong: only stayed 3 nights. To come and spend time in the old schoolhouse was an extraordinary experience for us. It is amazingly inviting and cozy - you feel like home at once! The snow that fell over night just added to the great atmosphere. Many thanks for the shortbread and the flowers! :) It was a great pleasure to meet Eleanor, Will and the family! Thank you again!

    Kerstin & Jan2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • The place and area are lovely! Perfect spot for people who want to run away from "modern life tumult". Here you can slow down, clear your mind, read books, watch the fire burn, play the piano, go for a long walk after morning tea and come back to this beautiful and cozy cottage.

    Artur2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We loved every single bit about the Old Schoolhouse. The living room with the Scottish oven was just wonderful. We loved cuddling up in front of the chimney and spending our evenings reading in the the warm. Eleanor had prepared everything thoughtfully so we just needed to make fire. The kitchen was most well equipped, nothing missing for preparing breakfast or dinner. When furnishing the Old schoolhouse Eleanor has proven a wonderful sense of respecting the old and the same time giving the house a unique style. I would highly recommend booking with Eleanor! :-)

We offer quality accommodation in a countryside location , providing the opportunity for all our lovely guests to experience the very best Scotland has to offer. Outside, a private decking area surrounded by nature, ensure our lovely guests can relax and truly unwind.
Our private apartment comprises of a well equipped kitchenette, a modern bathroom with shower and luxury toiletries, a stunning conservatory where you can relax and absorb the sheer beauty of the surrounding glen. We benefit from a countryside location, however we are only a 15 minute safe walk, into the village of Drumnadrochit, where there are lovely restaurants, coffee shops, gift shops, post office, tourist information and laundrette. Some businesses close from November - March , however there are still restaurants and shops that open all year. There is also a large Co op grocery store, doctors and pharmacy a 25 minute stroll away. For those who enjoy a longer walk, Urquhart Castle is a beautiful two mile walk and the shores of Loch Ness are around the same. Boat trips of varying length depart from Inverness, Dochgarroch and Fort Augustus to Urquhart Castle frequently throughout the day. We feel very lucky to stay in such a beautiful part of Scotland and love sharing our local knowledge with guests, to make their stay as memorable as possible.
  • Marnie was so incredibly generous to us. We had family commitments which meant we were difficult with dates changing and she was very flexible and gracious. We loved the house and it had everything we needed, it was a very cosy stay.

  • This cottage is just marvelous. Outside: a little place with no wind it's highly appreciated in the winter months. Inside: there is every thing you need. Fire, conservatory, bed, kitchen or bathroom nothing is missing. The little touches during all the stay from the owners To make us feel at home. We came in November and the cottage is really welcoming and warm. There is a welcome book with all the information we needed , about housing, activities around etc To be honest, I think it's the first time I have no complaints. If we come back to the Loch Ness we know where to stay!

  • We had such a lovely time at Glenview! It’s honestly the nicest Airbnb we’ve stayed in. Marnie went out of her way to make our stay special - she left lots of thoughtful treats for us and made sure that we had everything we needed. The house is a short walk to some lovely restaurants and beautiful walks. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to explore Loch Ness and the surrounding area!

  • I can't even find words to describe how great our stay there was. The accommodation was better than we expected and Marnie and Gordon went out of their way to make us feel at home and that our baby girl had everything she needed. The fireplace and the entertainment provided by the hosts made even a rainy day fun. We had trouble finding the place using our gps but the directions provided by Marnie were superb so I would advise you to follow them. I would highly recommend staying there if you want a place to stay that has that homely feeling. We will be back for sure.

  • Our stay at the Glenview house was great! Marnie provided really helpful tips about the local town (which is a convenient walk or drive away) and detailed instructions on how to get to the house, so our arrival and settling in went very smoothly! She even gave recommendations for local walks that we would have never known about otherwise. The place has a lovely view (including local cows) and had everything we needed for our stay.

CreagMhòr B&B is remotely situated high up in peaceful Glen Urquhart four miles from Loch Ness. With it's own private access your accommodation is a ground floor en-suite double room which can also cater as a Twin/2xDouble/Family room using the additional and comfortable sofa bed. Your continental breakfast is conveniently kept fresh in your own fridge ready to be enjoyed at the table in the room. A Barbeque Hut is also available to hire for your own private use supplied with coal and utensils.
Our family home is situated below the summit of CreagMhor in an idyllic garden surrounded by a rich variety of wildlife, fauna and the scenic splendour of Glen Urquhart and the Glen Affric hills.
In days gone by CreagMhor was a small hamlet known as Badcaul, 'hazel clump' in Gaelic, presently however there are only two remaining houses both occupied by one extended family. Both properties have been refurbished from ruins to a high standard keeping their original 1850's crofting design visible.
  • A simply magnificent location! A corner of paradise that makes you never want to go home! We really hope we can come back one day.

  • A fantastically idyllic place at a lovely, peaceful location. Alison was very flexible and approachable, even as we arrived late in the evening. She had also prepared a lovely breakfast for us, which was a very nice positive surprise. The room was very cosy and the views from the top of the hill, where the house is located, were amazing. Gutted we could not stay longer, and would definitely want to come back!

  • Claudia is a great host. We didn't get the chance to meet her but as soon as we arrived in the place, we felt very welcome! The place was easy to find, check in was simple and quick and the place is clean, well equipped and well stocked. There were fresh flowers, fruits, a bottle of wine, tea, coffee, even a bottle of fresh milk which we weren't expecting. The house is amazing, spacious and warm. There's plenty of logs for the fire place, we barely used the underfloor heating even when it was snowing! Thanks Claudia for having us and we hope to return again.

  • Visit at all costs! Just returned from an incredible few days at Michael and Marie’s ‘Wee House’ and it did not disappoint. We arrived and were greeted by Michael who was super friendly and gave us loads of tips where to go etc, there was milk, bread, biscuits and other little treats waiting for us! The house was sparkling clean and such a cosy space! Thank you Michael & Marie

  • Great cozy place to stay, we were worried that the bed area would be too small, but it was a great size, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  • Michael and Marie are extremely friendly and helpful. Their "wee house" is stylish and very well equipped with everything you need for a break in the highlands. It was cosy and comfortable. We will return in the summer, and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The local "Waterfall cafe" is also great for food and coffee.
