Excellent location close to local towns but also away on its own in a beautiful quiet location.

Just a lovely getaway. While the location is great and central to lots of fun activities, you can have just as great a time staying on the property and soaking up the gorgeous views. Cabin is comfy, cosy, and clean.

If you like to be all by yourself surrounded by beautiful nature and animals this is the place. The two alpacas visited us every morning and every night we saw kangaroos and rabbits. The cottage is gorgeous with old niche interior design with a beautiful outdoor area. It takes you back to how the “shack life” really should be. We will definitely be back :)

Paradiso Cottage was the perfect spot for rest and refreshment. Being able to walk in farm land and within 15 minutes walk on the beautiful beaches of Middleton, Goolwa and Port Elliot was a treat. The cottage was beautifully fitted out and it was a lovely place to relax.

We had an amazing stay! The cottage is very private and peaceful. It is the perfect place to unwind, relax and enjoy the surrounding environment. 10/10 would recommend 👍

Lovely escape in a semi-private waterfront setting. The property, facilities and hospitality made for a fabulous summer holiday. We would highly recommend to families who enjoy water activities or simply being in a quiet location by the water.

Good quality, comfortable accommodation with a maritime theme in a quiet location. Very well-equipped. Breakfast provided with cereals, bread and preserves. Pleasant garden to sit in. Good location in North Goolwa near the river and a short drive to town.

This is a very roomy studio apartment with great amenities. The reverse cycle airconditioner is very efficient and the bed is very comfortable. The location is very quiet and private considering the nearby house and the hosts respected our privacy. Just a short walk to the lake/river or a short drive into the Goolwa township. We highly recommend Sue and Ian's place for a couple seeking escape from the city.

Excellent place to stay

Goolwa Pelican Cottage is a real treasure. The house felt very private (unlike most of the houses along that stretch of river that are chockablock to each other) with a great location on top of a hill looking down on the river. The garden is like a fairy garden with a little path and steps leading down to a gate if you want to walk along the river. The bed was very comfortable and the air-conditioning worked great (especially needed on the day it was 43 degrees Celsius!) I think the photos of the kitchen area are old as there's actually a full-sized refrigerator and stove there now. It's also quite close to town and only about a ten-minute walk to a great coffee shop down the street.

Pelican Cottage was pretty much as described. It was clean, spacious, had a lovely outlook of the river from the deck, pretty garden, plenty of light through the large windows and a comfy bed and pillows. The location was quiet and an easy walk from the town and wharf. Our dog settled easily and fencing was adequate for him - no escape route!! Would recommend and we would be happy to return.

Pelican Cottage is in a fabulous position right across the road from the river with great riverside parks and walks, views from the main sun filled living area, great ambience, property is fully enclosed so was safe my small dog. Highly recommend.

The orange door studio was such a great place to stay. From arrival Natalie greeted us with a friendly welcome as did Frankie the beautiful golden retriever . The studio has everything we could have asked for and more. Very stylish and extremely comfortable and within a short distance to Goolwa for any extra supplies we may have needed. Natalie also organised a wonderful tasty cheese and chocolate platter for our arrival on behalf of our daughter. We highly recommend staying at orange door studio .

The villa is perfect. It is a stylish place, it has quality touches and very well decorated. Breakfast includes local products, fresh eggs and is so yum! Quiet and relaxing place! The hosts are discreet and welcoming. Their dog Frankie was a plus to our stay. She is very affectionate and always ready to play fetch.

Such a stylish and well appointed space. Everything is good quality, from the bedding and towels to the crockery. Lots of little surprises; things have been really thought about. Using local produce where possible for the delicious brekkie provisions was a lovely touch. Loved that there is no tv! We played games and chatted; just lovely and look forward to returning ☺️

Had a great time at The Orange Door the minute we walked in - from the beautiful history and character of the little place to the incredible breakfast provisions, it was a dream getaway.

This is a beautiful cottage amongst vineyards and close to the town of Goolwa. Great location and amenities, thoughtful personal touches, well equipped, spotlessly clean, and a very comfortable bed. The granola is super delicious and home-made. I highly recommend this place.

Natalie was the perfect host. The additional touches which included breakfast and a bottle of bubbles made all the difference. Her gardens are gorgeous and the small court yard is a perfect spot for an afternoon platter and a glass of wine. Frankie the dog joined us on a walk and was well behaved. All in all, it was a lovely getaway and we would be love to return.

Really lovely place and would definitely stay again. Super cozy and lots of beautiful thoughtful touches, like bath bombs, eggs and bacon, fresh bread and fruit. Was the perfect place for a little get away.

Natalie provided a wonderful, homely space for my partner and I to relax right into. Our stay went past too quickly and we would have happily stayed for longer. We took full advantage of the bath as well! All of the facilities and amenities provided were in great condition and worked very well. The style of the overall space was perfect also. The whole experience was great. I would absolutely recommend Natalie’s space to others.

Not to far out of town. Great town to explore and relax in. The cottage has everything you need and is a fantastic place to just have some quiet time. No TV, however, you still have mobile phone signal.

Gorgeous property and studio to stay in. Friendly dog Frankie made our stay extra special checking in on us every so often. Close to Port Elliot and Middleton where we spent time at the beach and ate some amazing food. Will explore the local wineries next time we stay!

Highly recommended. Sandra was incredibly hospitable and the quickest at responding with all the Airbnb hosts I’ve had. The place is cute an quirky and very clean. Like a little granny flat which is comfortable and has all the essentials. Very accommodating with kitchen supplies and complementary snacks. You even get the view and sound of the steam train going past!! Can’t wait to go back for another stay :)

Enjoyed staying at Sandra's place, right by the Goolwa Cockle Train line. Lovely comfy queen size bed to rest in after a day's sightseeing. Appreciated all the cooking facilities and the thoughtful addition of local bread and fresh fruit to enjoy. Spacious bathroom was an unexpected delight in this homely cabin.

This place is nice quiet and relaxing place to stay in Goolwa. We stayed here with another family and the accommodation had plenty of room for us all to fit - the two bathrooms were handy. The deck in the backyard was great for the adults to enjoy while the kids ran around in the backyard. It was really close to the walking/bike path along the river and not too far for Goolwa central and the beach. The hosts provided great communication and hospitality. Would highly recommend.

Such a beautiful, calming and relaxing stay. The little touches were so special, especially the freshly made bread delivered in a cute basket to your door in the morning. Christy made alterations to the breakfast to meet our dietary needs with no hesitation. The bed was so comfortable. My husband thinks it’s the best sleep he’s had in his life. We loved our stay here!

We stayed the Songbird Cottage for 2 nights and enjoyed it very much. It is relaxing , close to the wine country (including a great one minutes away) and is a perfect retreat. Christy is a great host and we would definitely recommend.

Christy really is a brilliant hostess! We spend two nights at Songbird Cottage, everything was so well thought of and prepared, especially the breakfast! The cottage itself is beyond our expectation, so cozy and comfortable, we had wonderful sleeps during our stay. There were sheep in our backyard....as they were welcoming us too!

Such a great space and nearby to Longview Winery! Only 15 mins from Mt. Barker and Strathalbyn too! Great host and tasty breakfast each morning.

This cottage is delightfully cosy and Christy has a hidden flair for design. Although this was at the top end of our budget I feel the cottage still represents value for money. The supplied breakfast was also very good.

Jessica's place is absolutely beautiful, great use space, very modern and incredible views from the balcony. The grounds are stunning, I absolutely loved exploring the orchard and vegetable garden. Jessica was a very accommodating host, clearly a lot of thought goes into the special touches. The home made bread and organic produce was delicious. Would definitely recommend for a short trip away.

Would highly recommend this as a whole experience. We were able to wander the farm and pick and eat fresh almonds and figs. A hot loaf of freshly baked bread was waiting on our arrival too! Beautiful place with a gorgeous view.

You can expect a stunning view and comfortable retreat at Jessica's place. A real sense of escape from the world even though amidst the activity of a working farm. Can't wait to experience the Winter there - we have booked again!

I was highly impressed with the cottage and all the little personnel touched that you have provided and well catered. It was exactly as described on the AirBnB site, very convenient to all that Goolwa and the surrounding area has to offer, and we had everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay. And the complementary bottle of locally-produced wine provided by the hosts to welcome us was a nice surprise!

What a GEM of a place!! This Airbnb has everything you need, and more. The space was immaculate and sparkling clean, highly recommend. This would also suit a group of people, I used the space as a relaxing weekend away... but if you wanted to have BBQ and a weekend with family or friends, this place would be perfect!!

Absolutely loved staying in this beautifully renovated old cottage. Ammenities are outstanding, location is fantastic, short drive to beach and close to the wharf and cafes (mother duck is great). Roger is a wonderful, generous and helpful host who has clearly thought of everything to make his guests’ stay an exceptional one. The house is beautiful and immaculate, and the entertaining areas are great. The fact that we were allowed to take our dog is an added bonus as you’ll struggle to find a nicer place that allows pets. Look forward to staying there again soon.

A lovely, light-filled loft filled with loving little touches to make the stay homely and special, The Nest is comfortable and well-equipped down to DVDs and books to make staying in tempting. It is located just a few minutes walk from the iconic Cockle Train which runs to Victor Harbor 30minutes' train ride away three times a day. It is a perfect little spot for a getaway and is beautifully situated for sight seeing around the region. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend The Nest to any future visitors.

Nectarine Cottage is beautiful and relaxing. A cosy, welcoming stay with a super comfortable bed, amazing bathroom and big bath, great amenities and special touches. The hamper available for an additional price is definitely worth it. The mezzanine bedroom allows lots of beautiful natural morning light, recommend to bring a sleeping mask if you're sensitive to light and want a long sleep-in :)

We couldn’t have had a better holiday in the gorgeous Nectarine Cottage. We loved everything about this special little cottage. The location is in walking distance to Goolwa shops and cafes, and an easy 10 minute drive to the family friendly and stunning Horseshoe Bay beach where we spent much of our time. Claire is a fantastic host, always ready to answer questions about the local area, providing gorgeous treats and thoughtful touches like organic Shampoo, Conditioner and body soap, umbrellas, picnic basket and popcorn for movie nights. We so appreciated these thoughtful and generous touches. Great spot

Russell's place is so convenient to Aldinga Beach that you can be on the beach in less than a minute. It is also situated a short drive from the attractions of the Fleurieu Peninsula. Russell's bnb is well appointed, not lacking in amenities, very clean and tastefully designed. Erica and will return.

Russ and Crystal were great hosts! We enjoyed staying in their home....perfectly situated across from the beach!!! Russ also gave us some great travel advise about things to do around town. The farmers market is a must visit on Saturday mornings. We would happily return for more summer fun in the years ahead. Thanks again :)

This is a beautiful, very clean 2 bedroom 2 bath apt with kitchen, living room, free parking, and laundry facilities. It is right across the street from a beautiful beach that you can drive your car on like they do in Florida. The owner, Russell, is very approachable and will do his best to accommodate you. We liked this place a lot and highly recommend it.

Crystal and Russ were great hosts, quick to respond with suggestions and advice on our great stay in the Adelaide area. Look forward to visiting again soon. House was spacious and in a great area to get to all the great visiting spots.

Really beautiful home in a great location. So lovely to hear and smell the ocean from the back deck. Will definitely be back in warmer weather to enjoy the beach and the gorgeous backyard a bit more!

We had a great weekend getaway at Milly’s @ Middleton. Great location which is really close to the beach with a big private backyard for our furry friends. Will definitely be back again.

Millys is a very clean & tidy place. The slow combustion fire on the back verandah is the best place to sit & listen to the waves break on the beach. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay.

Milly's place is very comfortable and is in a fantastic location just a 2 minute walk to the beach!

Black Salt is a tastefully decorated, modern holiday unit in a great location. Its only a five-minute walk to the beach and has everything you need for a great weekend away.

Black Salt was a really lovely getaway for us. The space is well laid out, with quality furnishings/linens and very clean. The accommodation is private and quiet with everything you need. And close to stunning Goolwa Beach!!

We loved our stay! Very modern and clean, short walk to the beach and a good coffee at PippiCo. The breakfast provisions and a bottle of wine were great! Wifi also provided. As a couple suited us perfectly, we would highly recommend.

Middleton beach huts was the perfect relaxed getaway we needed over Christmas and boxing day. A beautifully kept venue, with pristine garden and lawn to enjoy. Our stay was very comfortable, and enjoyed day trips to port Elliot and other beaches spread across the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Amazing! The beach hut is sparkling clean and makes you feel at home right away. The big spa bath was just what we needed. Highly recommend the ‘Blues Restaurant’ that’s on-site. Everything was perfect.

The beach huts are best described as a resort. They are just a short walk to the beach, there is a handy onsite restaurant and also facilities (including a BBQ that enable some self catering. Overall a very pleasant and convenient place to stay and well situated between the two key centres of Victor Harbour and Goolwa.

Craig is a great host and his place is really lovely. The location is close to McLaren Vale and lots of beaches which are amazing no matter what weather you catch.

This would be the place I recommend if you like to be away from the city and be close to nature. I enjoy the scent of the eucalyptus trees as we stroll up the path near the cottage. The firewood heater is a real novelty for city dwellers.

A cosy, yet spacious cottage that really felt like home for the weekend. You’re in the middle of beautiful valleys and meet some friendly farm animals. Isolated enough to feel like an escape from civilization but close enough to a supermarket. Margo was easy to communicate with and gave great suggestions. Really loved it, hope to be back soon!

We has a lovely stay at Margo’s place. The cottage was very comfortable and we loved watching the cows in the paddock next door and the view over the countryside. It was so quiet and peaceful.

We stayed for 2 nights at Minko and would have loved to stay longer! It’s a beautiful space that has everything you need. I love that there is no TV and it’s so interesting to stay on a working farm!

Hidden down a little twisty drive, past the horses and cows is a gem of a location. Picturesque and away from the hustle and bustle of life, it feels like we were in a different country, not a mere hour out of Adelaide. If you’re ever looking for a charming getaway that isn’t too far away from civilisation, this will perfect for you. ❤️

This is a beautiful unit in a stunning location. The view is amazing and beach only a short walk away. The unit was impeccably clean and very comfortable for our family of three. Communication was excellent. Highly recommended.

We are very grateful to have Kate hosting us. She is very friendly and had been very responsive to our questions. It is a great place to spend time with family and friends. It was a very late decision to have a getaway. We thought it was impossible to find a nice place which allows dog. We were really lucky to find this place as it is way better than what we expected from photos. Highly recommended if you are looking for a dog/kid friendly place to stay.

This place has everything you would want and more. We were really looking forward relaxing in the gorgeous pool during our stay, but were unlucky with the weather. However the place has such breathtaking views and so much to do, that you have a great time even when the weather is not on your side. We had the most relaxing romantic time chilling on the large verandah, enjoying the views with some wine, bbq and our own pizza. We so had fun with the kids watching movies in the cinema room. The place has been renovated really beautifully, lux and modern styling and finishes, make it feel like a resort. The hosts are wonderful, are really quick to respond and always ready to help with any issues. Highly recommend. One of our favourite stays in SA so far.

From the moment you walk in... views are breathtaking, amenities are fantastic for a group. The pool was sparkling clean, the outdoor entertaining area with pizza oven was a real hit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place is amazing, equipped with everything you need, clean and comfortable, accommodates all ages and wow that spectacular view you can’t keep your eyes off!

Brilliant location, elevated above Encounter Bay with excellent 180 degree outside and excellent views inside through double glazed windows. Sparkling clean pool, wood oven pizza with ample wood to cook lamb, pizza or keep warm in the outside dining area. Hosts were brilliant and responsive.

Isabelle’s place is absolutely incredible, if you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with beautiful views then this is it! Isabelle has truly thought of everything to make this such a homey place to stay. The views are absolutely incredible and the wildlife comes right up to your doorstep! Can not recommend this stay enough and can’t wait to go back some day!

Tent on a hill was fabulous! Very stylishly decorated tent, cosy bed and quilt to stay warm, and a gorgeous view! We saw kangaroos in the evening and a lovely sunset. Absolutely wonderful and we will definitely return.
