Places to stay in Cripple Creek
Fawn Cabin is an authentic mountain cabin that truly says Colorado! Set on 5+ acres with beautiful views and privacy. Enjoy the relaxing sounds of the brook rippling thru from the deck, soak in the hot tub, and just relax. Enjoy viewing the deer and other abundant wildlife that are right outside the door. Just 20 minutes from Cripple Creek, 20 minutes from the South Platte river in Eleven Mile Canyon, 10 minutes from Florissant Fossil Beds. Two hours from Denver. One hour from Colo Spgs.
I think the pictures pretty much tell the story. Fawn Cabin is a very beautiful and inviting place where you can relax and unwind in the Colorado Rockies, while still being close enough to all the Pikes Peak area attractions to keep you as busy and entertained as you wish to be. Cripple Creek is only minutes away. Many great hiking trails and trout fishing waters nearby too choose from.
The cabin is situated in Deer Mountain Ranch, a mountain community of homes and cabins on 5 + acre lots. Fawn Cabin has no neighbors on the adjoining lots, and the nearest neighbor is across the road approximately 300-400 yards. The location is very private and peaceful!
  • Fawn Cabin is a fantastic little spot to get away and decompress. If you like to cook, the kitchen will meet the needs of enthusiast cooking. If you can’t let go of stress sitting in the hot tub at and after sunset, maybe nothing will help you. The sound of the breeze through the pines and the distant wind chimes makes for a tranquil atmosphere. There’s a house across the road, and one atop the opposite ridge from which people can see much of Wayne’s property, so the privacy isn’t *total,* but it’s private enough that you feel worlds away from others. Excellent retreat. Wi-fi is good, but leave your work behind and your devices off. They’ll be there for you when you return to reality.

  • Great location! Loved the front and back terraces and the fire pit was excellent. There is no cell service but the WiFi was strong enough for voip calls or FaceTime/Zoom.

  • Beautiful setting— so peaceful . We loved our walks around the property, down the road, sitting by the fire while the kids explored the little river . It was a great getaway place. I wouldn’t count on an adult using the pull-out bed due to the condition it’s in— but it was fine for our kids with a little extra pillow support. Loved the spot and host was great!

  • The cabin was exactly what is shown, it’s quaint and has a great view. The hot tub is amazing and looks out on the land, and the whole cabin is perfect! Definitely want to come again soon!

  • Wayne’s place was amazing! It was very peaceful and having access to the hot tub was great. Would definitely come back!

  • This is a great cabin for a getaway. It had everything I needed. I enjoyed the privacy & all of the outdoor options so close by. You can even walk out to the back & it’s a bit of a steep climb but you can get to some pretty cool boulders w/ a great view. Wayne was extremely helpful with some booking issues I had & was very quick to respond. 10/10 would recommend!!

  • Mary’s space was the best Airbnb I have ever stayed in - and Mary was the best host! Everything was so clean and she provided every tiny thing I might have forgotten at home. She gave us several recommendations on food, hiking and breweries and all were incredible. This place is absolutely perfect for 2 people. Any problems we had, Mary was there to fix them within minutes. I highly recommend this place for an intimate getaway!

***LOW RATE FOR SITE CONSTRUCTION!! for January -March/early April !! (Weekdays only, 8-4)**Perfect central location for Colorado Springs exploring! Enjoy your morning coffee on the porch swing, then walk, ride or take a short drive to the best restaurants, hikes, event spaces and fun The Springs has to offer. Our modern, sunny guest house, is in the historic, eclectic Old Colorado City/Westside neighborhood and shares the yard with our home that was built in the 1890's.
**The main house, NOT the guest house, will be under construction so we can have more room for our Foster Kiddos! But the expected noise, and mess is why we are offering lower rates. Please contact us with questions!! Weekday work only*** Welcome to our Fat Squirrel Guest House! This hideaway feels nestled in the trees, with a wonderful large deck for your private use, that you can easily see Pikes Peak (although during the summer, those trees may obscure the view!). Easy off street parking via the alley. The property is shared with our home in the front, and a separate, private, guest space on the ground level beneath you. This property is a great place to feel like you’re part of our Colorado community, in the oldest neighborhood in Colorado Springs. The kitchen has all the basics for your home on the road: Gas stove, microwave, full fridge, small dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, hot water kettle, blender and hopefully any cooking instrument you need. There will be a few condiments and spices available- and some items left by previous guests. If you don't see it, send us a text and we’ll most likely have what you need from the main house. There is coffee and tea to help make mornings a little easier. Towels and linens will be exchanged when you stay more than 5 days. If you need to do a load of laundry we can make arrangements for you to do so in the main house. The bedroom has a queen bed with a memory foam mattress, and the daybed/ couch in the main room has everything you need to turn into a twin bed. A smart TV is logged on to Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu (with the HBO channel) ready to go, and a Bluray for watching videos. *Happy Bonus: We just remodeled the bathroom! Because Colorado has pretty mild, non-humid, weather, there is not a central air conditioner for this space. But, there is a strong, new, AC window unit in the bedroom (We love a cold room when I sleep too!!), that is installed during the summer months. Be like a local and open the French doors to the deck and enjoy the evening air. Please feel free to ask questions! We’re happy to work with you for special requests. ***THIS IS A NON-SMOKING PROPERTY*** (Seriously) (Please) (Thank you!)
I love my neighborhood. It's old. It's eclectic. It's full of great people with interesting stories. One house will be a perfectly restored Victorian, the next home needs TLC and has seen better days. On lovely afternoons, folks will be out on their porch or in their yards, happy to chat with people walking their dogs or on their way to dinner and a beer. Like anywhere, be sure to lock your car and not leave valuables visible. If you need, we can arrange to store larger items in the shed. Hopefully you'll love this quirky part of The Springs as much as I do.
  • Outstanding place to stay! Very comfy bed, hot tub, the kitchen is great for cooking every night, just so great overall! Mary left us a list of things to do, places to hike, and places to eat around town which was also really helpful for our stay. We felt very at home and had the perfect vacation here.

  • Such a cute and comfortable space!! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place in Colorado Springs! Amenities including the hot tub are amazing, the space was so clean, and Mary is a wonderful host - if you’re lucky, you’ll get to meet her dogs!! Hoping to come back soon!

  • Thanks for letting me stay! It's one of the best Airbnbs I've been to. Lots of light on the upper floor with big windows, comfortable bed, plenty of kitchen and coffee supplies. And they were very understanding when I had to make a last-minute change in schedule.

Click on "more about the space" below for Covid-19 info and additional cleaning and pet charges for groups of 5 or more. This is a magical place and you'll feel it as soon as you arrive. It's where the "purple mountain majesties" reside from Katharine Lee Bate's "America the Beautiful". Sit in the living room and take in the magnificent views. 12 months per year, the Fortress at Pike's Peak provides a fantastic getaway. Every picture of views in the listing was taken from the deck.
During this trying time, we're offering discounts of at least 25% off nightly rates for open dates within 4 weeks . Our great cleaning staff is being even more careful than usual, using the proper protocol to disinfect all surfaces and keep the property safe for the guests. Please review the House Rules near the bottom of the listing page. It includes info on pet fee and additional cleaning fee for 5+ guests. There is one neighbor nearby, they are very friendly but we ask our guests to not approach them as they are senior citizens and at a higher risk. Stay at The Fortress and stay safe. It's an amazing getaway for folks to de-stress during these trying times. There is access to great hiking trails only a mile from the house and we provide specific info to booked guests. "The Fortress" is a perfect getaway no matter what the season. During the summer, cooler mountain temps provide an oasis from the heat. In the fall the colors change and it continues to be a great base camp for outdoor adventurers. It's a spectacular winter wonderland and always a great place to bring the family for holidays as well as special occasions. It has the best views in the area, some say anywhere, and you don't even have to go outside to see them. Do you see a less expensive place offering the same views from the great room or even from a back deck? It is very unlikely. Don't waste your hard earned money on a place that has great views for squirrels and birds but not guests. Many places misrepresent their views. The Fortress is the real deal! Great access to easy hiking. Just one mile drive or hike to get onto trails in Mueller State Park without a fee! So venture out or stay cozy, yet feel like you're in the middle of it all! Every picture you see of views was taken from the deck! The Fortress provides a perfect environment for an unforgettable family vacation which you'll treasure forever. Our valued guests hate to leave and look forward to returning. This ultimate mountain getaway sits high atop a hill on the western slope of Pike's Peak, providing unobstructed views of the magnificent Sangre de Cristos mountain range. And you can even see the visitor center atop Pikes Peak looking east from the deck. Only a scenic 2 hour drive from Denver (1 from Colorado Springs). This mountain chalet style home consists of 2180 SF on 3 levels with floor to ceiling south facing windows, providing amazing light on the views during sunsets. Great room features ample seating , electric simulated fireplace, dining area and modern, fully stocked kitchen + 2 full bathrooms. The Fortress includes all the comforts of home, including WiFi. There's an HD flat panel TV in the great room and 50" HD TV with a great soundbar in the lower level rec room both offering DISH TV's Top 120 stations and local stations from Colorado Springs and DVR capability plus Netflix! The large loft bedroom has a comfy king bed with full bathroom/shower and a walk in closet. Two bedrooms on the main level each offer queen beds and share a full bath. The lower level has a queen size sofa bed. We can set up 2 additional twin beds and a king mattress on the floor of the lower level as well to accommodate larger groups. Lower level family room with direct access to spacious walk-out concrete patio and large hot tub/spa. Send the kids down here for their own big screen HDTV and a small pool table. A nice selection of board games are provided. The wrap around 600 sq ft deck includes gas barbecue and comfortable options for dining or just sitting and taking in the view. Tastefully decorated throughout, carpet, tile and hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings. Very romantic get away for two or perfect for a family reunion of up to 12. Short drives to golf, rafting, great hiking and many great attractions like the Pikes Peak Highway, Royal Gorge Bridge, Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, Cave of the Winds, wildlife sanctuaries, and of course the center of Cripple Creek is only 7 miles away. Guides to all attractions available on property and booked guests receive info on whatever they request and expert suggestions.
One of many amazing features is that you can see the Visitor Center on top of Pikes Peak from the house. There is only one other house close by and that is a full time residence owned by a lovely retired couple who are always helpful and glad to meet new friends. Their home does not hurt the fantastic views in any way.
  • This place was awesome! My wife and I planned a last minute trip to Colorado and were looking for a place that was in the mountains and desolate and this fit the bill perfectly!

  • Everything is amazing about this place. Our second time staying here and it was as great as the first.

  • Great ambiance, plenty of movies to choose from, and lots of space. It does take a while for the entire place to warm up, so if possible show up right at check-in time (3PM). We got there just as the sun was setting and had to bundle up for a bit until things warmed up. Once they did it was toasty all weekend. We had everything we needed to cook all our meals and more.

I had some trouble at the first night because i had not been in the cabin before but I finally solved it perfectly. My family had great time together even there is no LTE or internet. We enjoyed this cabin so much

  • We do I start, it was an AMAZING experience staying at the Fern House! It is absolutely beautiful the cabin and the scenery around. My family and I stayed a week for Thanksgiving. Also, the residents living in the area were friendly and welcoming! Everyone was absolutely pleased with our stay! I highly recommend staying here but you have be OKAY without service. Which wasnt a problem for us since this trip was to destress and relax. If you drive to the small town cripple creek casino area you'll have great wifi and service connection. The cabin has everything you will need for your stay. Once again, the Fern House was perfect and the snow added a special touch! • This house was great for our family (kids 2, 4, 6)! Able to hike from the house easily, and many hikes available within a short drive. Roof top deck was our favorite to relax on. Large jacuzzi, great views, and morning deer to see. Grilled nightly, and had so much kitchen stuff available (including spices). Will be back!!

  • Beautiful house! The windows in the living room is the best part. Got to hang with the family and have a great view. Definitely worth it.

  • Epic views, so relaxing and magical! A must experience location for sure

    Jenna2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This house is GORGEOUS. We rented it for a business retreat. We were 8 professional women, and the house was perfect for that number. We loved the views, the fireplace, the open space inside and out, the chalkboards... this house is a gem. I can't wait to come back in the summer. This is a fabulous and beautiful find. Virginia was a responsive and helpful host.

    Deborah2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Cañon Retreat is breathtaking! The house itself is beautiful, but also incredibly comfortable. There was plenty of space for our group and the location allowed us to explore the city and the nature nearby with ease. Every request and question was met with a quick response. The road up to the house can get a bit icy , so a decent vehicle with decent tires is probably a good call if you're visiting during the snowy months (a good call in Colorado in general during the winter really). Other than that though, there's really not much to worry about when staying at Cañon Retreat.

  • Amazing place with million dollar views. So much room.

    Greg2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • This gorgeous home was the perfect place to host 8 of us on our women’s business retreat. Quiet location, but close to everything. Breathtaking mountain views. Comfortable beds and bathrooms, with heaters in every room that kept us perfectly cozy, even on freezing winter nights. (And heated floors throughout the main areas!) The photos simply do not come close to doing the place justice. The impact of all the windows in the space is incredible. The kitchen is decently outfitted and was great for cooking for all of us. (And the three types of coffee makers made the Seattle gals very happy.) The rooftop deck was amazing for morning yoga, even despite the cold. The furniture and art throughout the home is eclectic and fun, and we LOVED the chalkboard wall. WiFi worked well, which was important as cell phone coverage wasn’t as great. Everyone would come back in a heartbeat. Thanks for a lovely stay!

The Black Monarch was re-built after a fire in 1899 as a brothel, casino, and saloon. It is a storied slice of Victorian era Americana , nestled in the beautiful Rocky Mountain gold rush city of Victor, Colorado. The building is exquisite in its design and well preserved with original windows, doors, tin ceilings, and stairs. Local legend states that the building is haunted by the ghost of a miner who died in a gunfight, and was originally wired by electrical genius Nikola Tesla.
You will be immediately overwhelmed with the incredible beauty and rich history of this enormous Victorian Gothic brothel! Featuring 12 and 15 foot ceilings throughout, ornate solid oak doors, huge bay windows, and original hard wood floors... this spooky Rocky Mountain getaway is a must for the alternative traveler! The building is currently under the process of being lovingly restored by its new owners. Every room has been uniquely themed and decorated with luxurious furniture, creepy art, authentic taxidermy, and very real oddities. Every piece has been individually curated and picked by the owners. #1 The H.H. Holmes Room: This gigantic boarding room measures 468 sqft. It contains 2 very plush queens size pillow top beds with mattress toppers, a 52” 4K smart tv, blue tooth sound system, coffee table, couch, club chair, writing desk, and mini fridge. The room over looks downtown Victor Colorado including the Lowell Thomas museum, and has amazing views of the Sangre De Cristo mountain range. All art and decorations are themed after the first american serial killer H. H. Holmes. H.H. Holmes is famous for building the Chicago Murder castle in 1893, where he murdered over 200 of his hotel guests.
If you’re looking for an outdoor adventure, the Black Monarch is your ideal lodging. Nestled amidst the breathtaking mountain vistas of Victor, Colorado, it’s mere minutes from historic hiking trails like the Vindicator Valley Trail, where outdoor enthusiasts can explore old mine shafts. The town of Victor is bursting with rustic Gold Rush charm, is minutes from Cripple Creek and just an hour southwest of Colorado Springs. It’s the ideal mountain town getaway, yet far from being a tourist trap.
  • Definitely a must see if your into things a bit on the darker side!

    Shannan2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures listed for this place do not do it justice! The Black Monarch should be your #1 place to want to stay at when coming to Colorado! All the rooms are so exquisite. We stayed in room #3 Nikola Tesla, huge room! 100% recommend staying here!

    Clarissa2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Loved it!

    Alex2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is an experience and I recommend anyone passing through Victor to stay at least one night here. Super eclectic place and the stories behind each room are creepy and awesome if you like the strange and unusual or just true crime. The town does kind of shut down after dark. A lot of the stores and restaurants close at 5 so you will have to head to Cripple Creek but that is a fun town to hangout in. More places to eat and lots of casinos. We had a nice experience staying here and would definitely stay again if back through town!

    Sara2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • I think the Black Monarch is amazing. If you’re thinking about booking just do it! I’m hoping to be back in the summer to do all the amazing hikes surrounding it. It’s very tidy and clean. The host was awesome and it’s a really cool and unique space! Thank you!

  • Having never heard of Cripple Creek before this trip, I wasnt sure what to expect, but it ended up providing the perfect home base for our vacation! We were able to do sooo much in such a short time. From the Gold Mine tour, Train Ride, and local shopping, to the Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds and Pikes Peak. We did it all in only 2 days! Their BnB is located up in the mountains away from the big town madness and provides the perfect location for gorgeous scenery, great food, and close proximity to anything you could want to do. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a one of a kind vacation!

We are located in the historic gold mining town of Cripple Creek, and are walking distance from nearly everything but, at the same time, our property is quiet and private. (The exception is during town events, which normally occur on summer weekends. Sound carries up the hill.) If you are coming for gambling fun, the rodeo, Donkey Derby Days, Ice Festival, county fair, fall foliage, or exploring the nearby Pikes Peak and Royal Gorge regions, you can’t ask for a better place to be.
THE TRAILER: Our 19-foot trailer was built in 1967 and owned by the same family until we bought her in 2019. We are renovating "Linda" (named after her former owner) and we want to honor her past as a much-loved RV full of memories. Our goal is to restore Linda, not just rip out her worn out parts, which would certainly be quicker and easier. She has lots of bumps, bruises and flaws, each with a story. Our small trailer is vintage so don’t expect perfection. WHAT WE OFFER: This cute 50+ year old trailer is rough on the outside (hail damage and she needs a paint job), but she’s nice inside. Linda is clean, pet-free and smoke-free, well-kept and pretty darned comfy, with new bedding, towels, microwave, coffee maker, and amenities you won’t find at a hotel, like games, books, snacks, etc. Feel free to poke around the cabinets, as everything is there for your use. But (and we really hate to have to say this), please don’t take our things when you leave. There’s a reason for the security deposit. Sadly, not everyone is as honest as you are. AMENITIES: Electricity runs the lights, a portable heater, charges your mobile devices (USB & iPhone cables and Bluetooth speaker are provided), and powers the coffee maker and microwave. The fridge/freezer isn’t pretty (it’s original) but it’s clean and stays cold. The stove/oven is new and works great. Pots, pans, utensils and basic cooking supplies are included. There is a faux fireplace heater (and plenty of warm blankets) that will keep you nice and toasty, a small bathroom with a sink and portapotty, jugs of water and bottled drinking water, an electric kettle for heating water, and a couple of flashlights, so your basic needs are met. This is trailer camping, but you don’t need to bring anything but your clothes! NO SHOWER: There is no running water as our temps get near/below freezing most of the year. We’re at almost 10,000 feet and cannot risk burst pipes, so you won’t have use of the faucets/shower. But, hey, it’s glamping, right? If a hot shower is a deal-breaker, the Aspen Mine Center (a non-profit organization a few blocks away) offers free showers Monday thru Friday, but please consider making a small donation if you use their facilities. They have everything you need there... towels, soap, shampoo, etc. SLEEPING: The couch converts to the double bed, so you’ll be sleeping cozy with your companion. (Max two adults.) Please tell us when you book what configuration you prefer upon arrival... the couch (more room to move around) or the made bed. If you don’t tell us, or if you book at the last minute and we aren’t available before you arrive, the default will be the couch and you’ll make the bed. We provide ongoing toilet cleaning and fresh water during your stay, but you’ll make your bed/couch as you wish each day. 4WD ACCESS: Our long dirt driveway is fairly steep. If it's dry with no ice or snow, it's easily accessible with a two wheel drive car. If it's snowy or icy, you will need all-wheel drive to make it to the top. It is NOT plowed, but the paved street at the bottom of the driveway is plowed by the city, so you could park on the paved road and walk up. We do not offer refunds for road conditions or access so please plan/book your stay according. LOCATION: We're centrally-located in the southern Rocky Mountains between Pikes Peak (50 minutes) and the Royal Gorge or Colorado Springs (1 hour) and are surrounded by awesome places to hike and explore. Depending on traffic, we are about 1.25 hours from the Colorado Springs Airport and 2.5 hours from the Denver Airport. SUMMARY: This space is perfect and cozy for 1 - 2 people. Due to it being a small trailer, it’s not recommended if you are above average height or weight, or have mobility issues. But, if you like a smaller private space, and don't mind the water limitations, we are a serene and less expensive location from which you can experience Colorado's mountain lifestyle. We have deer and foxes that live on our property and you’ll see them most days as you enjoy your morning coffee from the comfort of your heated vintage trailer. Come stay with us!
CRIPPLE CREEK / VICTOR NECESSITIES: Bank/ATM, 24-hour restaurants and convenience store, 2 gas stations, liquor store, grocery store, Ace Hardware, Family Dollar, Post Office, laundromat. Most within walking distance in a few minutes. FOR FUN: Casinos, museums (six!), antiques, art and gift stores, fall foliage drives, the historic Butte Theater, miles and miles of hiking trails, the Cripple Creek Train, off-leash dog park, historical ghost tours, BMX track, geocaching, snow sledding hill, skate park, rec center with gym, two playgrounds, historic underground and contemporary above-ground gold mine tours. LOCAL'S TIP: Like cheap eats? Sign up for a player's card at Wildwood Casino and you can get full (huge) breakfast for only $0.99. It's available 24/7 but only once every 24 hours. Each person in the party must sign up to get the deal. CAUTION! Don't forget to look out for the free-roaming Cripple Creek donkeys that wander town at will in summer. They are protected by city ordinance and go anywhere they please, and may even be standing in the road. They love carrots but please don't feed them processed human food. OUT OF TOWN / NEARBY WITHIN 30 MINUTES: Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument and Skagway Reservoir Wildlife Area. WITHIN 1 HOUR: Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs (shopping and the Manitou Incline), an abundance of OHV trails and BLM land, the Gold Belt Scenic Byway (Shelf Road and Phantom Canyon), Colorado Springs, whitewater rafting on the Arkansas River, and the Royal Gorge Bridge and Railroad. Be sure to ask us about promo codes for jeep tours and whitewater rafting if you are headed to the Royal Gorge region. DAY TRIP / 2+ HOURS: Fly fishing on the Platte River, dinosaur tracks near La Junta, Pueblo Riverwalk, antique shopping in Florence (best in the state!), boating and kayaking, ski slopes, hot springs, ghost towns, vintage trains, and so much more. INTO SNOW SPORTS? We are about 2 hours from Breckenridge, 2.25 hours from Monarch, and 2.5 hours from Loveland, Monarch, Keystone Arapahoe Basin, and a couple other ski towns/areas. Yep, it’s a bit of a drive but you won’t pay ski report prices to stay in Cripple Creek. And, if you like to snowshoe, we’re surrounded by trails! SUMMARY Cripple Creek is centrally-located to be the perfect jumping off spot for the best tours, sights and attractions in the south central part of Colorado. Need more travel tips? Feel free to ask.

Pineridge Cabin is a cozy honeymooner's get-away nestled on a wooded hillside at 9,400 feet above sea level. It is located nine miles from Cripple Creek, to the south, and nine miles from Divide, to the north, and thirty-fives miles west of downtown Colorado Springs. Approximately forty-five miles from the Colorado Springs Airport and 122 miles from the Denver International Airport. It offers all of the amenities of home except a washer and dryer but the scenery and views well make up for it.
Our cabin is also located 2 miles from Mueller State Park for miles of hiking trails and endless wildlife. Just next to that is the Crags that offers the western trail up to the top of Pikes Peak. Close by is Eleven Mile Reservoir and the South Platte River. And in the cabin are brochures for endless activities in and around the area to include Colorado Springs. All-wheel drive or four-wheel drive is required in the winter months. All-wheel drive or front-wheel drive is recommended for spring, summer, and fall months. A Note to interested folks: We have encountered some extensive damage due to the neglect of past guests either not reading our house rules once they have booked or simply not following our guest expectations, operating procedures, and rules once they check in. This cabin is our personal property and not a chain hotel such as the Hilton. We do take pride in keeping our cabin clean and in great shape for not only our guests to use and enjoy, but also for our personal use and enjoyment. There are some simple rules that need to be reviewed and understood once you have reserved the cabin. The operating procedures for fireplace use, hot tub use, heat settings, and lock up procedures are set in place for guests who have never used these items before. And they are also put in place to ensure our cabin or hot tub does not freeze in the sub-zero winter weather due to neglect; or the cabin does not catch on fire due to unfamiliarity or neglect in use of the fireplace. We also ask that guests leave the cabin in the condition found upon check in. We do not live near the cabin and it is only polite to leave the cabin neat and tidy just as you found it and not leave our cabin in a condition as if you were checking out of the hotel. The person that takes care of the cabin comes from 17 miles away in rain, shine, or snow to help us keep it in order. Unfortunately guests cannot see the "Simple House Rules" until you reserve our cabin. But if you do reserve the cabin and cannot agree to the "Simple House Rule" in helping take care of the cabin, please promptly cancel your reservations and find another listing to choose from. We do apologize for sounding this way but it is frustrating when guests cause or extensive damage due to neglect when the "Simple House Rule" are clearly identified. Thank you.
Quiet neighborhood. The peace and quiet and the views from the deck and the hot tub just make it a wonderful, relaxing getaway. The wildlife, mainly deer, walk by the cabin often on the trail behind and in front.

  • The location can't be beat if you are looking for a true mountain getaway. It was super cozy with all the amenities you need. The hot tub was amazing for soaking after a long day of snowshoeing at nearby Mueller State Park. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and utensils and even a few basic oils and spices. I would highly recommend staying at this cabin if you are looking for a relaxing retreat!

    Jane2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin away from the hustle and bustle of regular life. Close to many great hiking areas which makes the hot tub so worth it. Saw many reviews complaining of house rules but we felt they were all pretty simple and straightforward.

This cozy home is in the heart of Cripple Creek. Only two blocks from the main street, you can walk to casinos, restaurants and museums. Completely updated, the home offers you the "At Home" accommodations for hotel prices. For those guests having difficulty climbing the home does have a clawfoot bathtub and steps up to the home.
This is a roomy, comfortable home on a quite street. Unlike other Cripple Creek homes, neighbors are not very close giving you some privacy.
Cripple Creek is a historical town with many buildings built prior to 1900.

  • We stayed here last year for Valentine’s Day and liked it so much, that we decided to come again! We had another wonderful visit and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to visit Cripple Creek. Check in/check out was easy. The place was extremely clean. I always enjoy how quiet it is there too.

  • This place is awesome! Very cozy and right close enough to everything in cripple creek, yet far enough not to hear anything. I would highly recommend staying here

  • Very cozy place...much better than staying in a hotel. Only a couple blocks from the casinos. Will definitely stay there again, hopefully when the weather is nicer, so we can walk everywhere.

  • I LOVED this adorable little house. Was absolutely perfect for me. I was in town to watch a trial and the house was a perfect location. 2 blocks walk to the casinos and 3 block walk to the courthouse. Total peacefulness and queit. Nice updated home. I plan to stay again on my next trip up. Highly recommend this place!

  • Very pretty space. Amazing hospitality. Always answered our questions right away. Greater by many wonderful friendly dogs. We did get lost at first so be careful. Would recommend this place to any one looking to get away from the business of a city.

  • GORGEOUS barn style stay! Amazing views and awesome location for anybody wanting to get away from town for a bit. Highly recommend!

    Joshua2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend! First of all if I had known how great this place is I would have booked for a much longer stay. I’m terrible with directions and got a little lost trying to find it but one quick text and staff from Gray Wold were to the rescue to come guide me there. Beautiful drive through the cutest little town then down a winding dirt road lined with bright gold autumn trees. Once arrived my dog and I were greeted by ranch dogs (which my dog loved!) and Nathan, who invited me up to eat a gourmet dinner with the rest of the quests. I felt like I was home with friends and family. Later I was given a tour of the gorgeous property. My room was lovely, comfortable, and sparkling clean. I didn’t want to leave! Again, highly recommend!

  • We had a wonderful stay in the barn, cozy and quiet. All the family was super nice with us. The scenery is beautiful. We made a tour in the farm, there are lots of animals! Highly recommended!

  • This place is adorable! The bed was comfortable, and the bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom were all clean and spacious. The kitchen has no cooking supplies, so bring your own if you want to cook. Victor is awesome! It’s very small though and everything closes early. There’s a grocery store 3 miles away in cripple creek connected to a Shell and an ACE Hardware that I would recommend. The restaurant next door was insane. Go for breakfast! Portions are HUGE there and the food is 🔥🔥🔥🔥.

    Noah2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our adventure in Victor, Co. Kent's place was clean, comfortable, quiet and peaceful. An interesting town, great views and a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle.

    Lisa2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the new boutique hotel in downtown Victor on a last minute spur of the moment trip. There were no rooms available in Cripple Creek and we are so happy to have stumbled upon this little gem! Check-in was super easy and Kent was quick to respond to any questions. The rooms and property are recently remodeled and very comfortable. The beds are gorgeous and you have everything you need for a short stay. The property was very clean and tastefully decorated. There is a $1 shuttle from Cripple Creek to Victor that runs back and forth daily. We had breakfast next door at the Fortune Club which was awesome! I would definitely recommend staying here for a trip back in time with modern amenities in a historic mining town.

    Brianne2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed staying here. Very stylish and clean comfortable place. Still manages to hang on to the old brothel hotel vibe. Highly recommend!

    Albert2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Dirty Sally's /Kent's place in the awesome and quaint town of Victor, Colorado (9700-ish feet high) ... a historic and beautiful mining town 10 minutes from Cripple Creek and off of our two favorite roads - Gold Camp Road and Phantom Canyon (need high clearance vehicle to venture onto these but there are many other main roads into Victor). Kent was accessible, the place was easy to check into, charming and sparkling clean. Shared kitchen and bath. We will be back.

    Janelle2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place. Very peaceful, close to restaurants, and nicely decorated!

    Casandra2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here several times in the last few weeks. The location is in the historic downtown of Victor. The host is response and supportive. You will love your stay at Kent's place.

  • It was a great place to rest our heads!

    Jennifer2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • I went to stay at Erik’s place with a couple friends from out of town and had a wonderful experience. We chose this place because it was very reminiscent of a cabin we used to stay at near the Seattle area and the place met every need we wanted. The cabin was perfectly ready for us upon arrival with clear instructions for everything and even included a good amount of food and drinks for us. Erik spoke very kindly and answered every question we had right away. Would very much recommend this place to anyone looking for a mountain getaway like we were.

  • This place is great, it was my first time using the app and I haven't got a single regret. Perfect size for a small group, and in a prime location. Nothing is too far out of the way, and Eric did a fantastic job of making sure we had everything we needed before we got there 10/10

    Ryan2020-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time at Wayne’s cabin. Quick and easy self check in with a smart lock. Communication was clear and quick. Very spacious cabin, clean with great views. Close to a lot of hiking trails. If you’re a big coffee drinker I suggest you bring your own coffee machine but there is a k-cup provided at the cabin. We were able to make a fire during our stay but check with county for fire bans. I would suggest bringing your own firewood, but there is a gas n’ roll that sells wood in Cripple Creek.

  • We had an outstanding time at Wayne’s cabin! We had had an out-of-state trip planned before all of this Coronavirus stuff hit the fan and booked a trip closer to have on a whim just to get out of the house. We are so happy we did! The cabin was immaculately clean and the decor really helped with the cabins-vibe we were hoping for. The hot tub was amazing, and the property itself was beautiful! Wayne was a great host and the self check-in was a breeze. We definitely plan on returning!

The space was private and the hot tub is right outside the door easy access. This place is perfect for people who are in Colorado for 420 reasons. There is an impressive 420 kit, plenty of snacks, and comfortable environment to smoke. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us, the space was very private with a beautiful back yard, and Marie was very helpful and responsive. I would definitely stay here again!

While there isn’t a full kitchen, there’s a microwave, toaster, electric kettle, refrigerator, electric griddle, and propane grill. We explored the area a bit and saw numerous deer, rabbits, and a red fox. The sunset here is beautiful. I highly recommend this place for a night away! • We had a great time. The house was beautiful, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the setting was beautiful. Susan and Butch went out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of. They are very friendly and hospitable. We look forward to staying with them in the future!

    Evan2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Nestled in snowy trees, Butch and Susan's home is lovely, peaceful and absolutely spotless. There are fluffy white towels, a comfy bed and amenities such as snacks, water bottles and toiletries. The attention to detail and warmth Butch and Susan show their guests make it evident that hosting is truly a labor of love for them!

    Ray2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a amazingly comfortable stay with Susan and Butch! All we needed was a bed to sleep in since we were celebrating Christmas with family near by. Felt bad about having to rush out with no time to eat the cinnamon rolls that Butch had prepared! Just sorry we didn’t get to stay longer to hang out and chat with these gracious hosts! Beautiful house with an amazing view! You’d be dumb not to stay with them!

    Kristopher2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • When we got there...Susan greeted us with, "Welcome home!" We've been here several times, it feels like home away from home, and we'll continue to come back.

    Rachel2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Love coming here, when we travel. Very clean and comfortable. Hosts enjoy taking care of us...if we need anything.

    Rachel2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • We keep going back! That ought to tell you something. It's nice to know what to expect, when we have to travel alot. We know it's a nice clean place, comfortable bed and room, and gracious hosts.

    Rachel2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great value and clean as a pin! Susan and Butch are great people and willing to sit and chat if you want to. Location is great and easy to find. Perfect place and we will stay again!

    David2019-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice home and view of the the valley and wildlife. We've stayed here several times lately because it's like coming to our home away from home. Nice welcoming hosts.

  • This historic cabin in Victor, CO is such a gem. It was very clean and cozy. Every room was charming and had special touches of making you feel at home. The kitchen had everything we needed simple meals. William was quick to respond with any questions we had. We also loved walking around the little town and hiking on nearby trails. Definitely will return!

    Kayla2020-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • This cozy cabin in Victor was perfect for our weekend getaway to Teller County. It was small, but spacious, sparkling clean and very quiet. The cabin is an easy walk to old town Victor and close to mines and hiking in Teller County. You won’t be disappointed.

    Yvonne2020-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a cozy, comfy night in this historic home after a day in Cripple Creek. The house was clean and warm, and just as described in the listing. We'd love to stay here again if we venture back that direction.

    Gina2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome cabin!

    Joy2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • We were hoping for a quiet and restful getaway and this cabin exceeded our expectations. Not only is the cabin bigger than we thought it would be, it has been beautifully restored into a comfortable and cozy space while retaining much of its historical quirkiness and charm. It is clean and well maintained with plenty of hot water and reliable heating. Along with basics one would expect (such as coffee, tea, towels, etc.) we were pleased to find some “extras” - a few basic dry/canned goods in the pantry, a chess set, access to Netflix, a fire-pit outside, etc. The cabin is walking distance from several historic buildings and ruins from gold rush days. A short drive will take you to the modern day mine as well. For stargazers - the night sky in this area is spectacular.

    Rob2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was everything we wanted and more. We definitely will be back to the victor cabin!

    Tonya2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Victor cabin was more than what I expected. The location was beautiful and just getting to step out of our daily routine was so perfect being here. My kids had never seen this much snow and being able to stay here just made that experience that much better!!! The cabin was super clean and had everything and more !!!

    Giavanni2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely wonderful place. It had everything I needed, it was only an hour-ish drive to Colorado Springs, the views were incredible; a perfect getaway. The host was quick to respond and even called me to help find the cabin (because it was pitch black and I was lost). Definitely would recommend!!

This nice and cozy little studio has a private entrance and is adjacent to our home on our 2-acre property at 9100 feet of elevation with great views of Pikes Peak and the surrounding mountains. Self service check-in and check-out.
We moved to Colorado from Minnesota 16 years ago and discovered family and friends like to visit us now. ;-) As the home we purchased is a bit small, we decided there was a need for another space for guests so we built this studio apartment. It's a cozy little space for 2 with all the conveniences for a short trip away from home.
Our neighborhood is a community of 2-acre properties. The neighbors are friendly but private folks. Lots of open space!
  • Perry + Jeanien’s Place is one for the books for us. We absolutely adored the space and the surrounding area. It’s definitely a place we will miss and we will cherish it. We have seriously been thinking of coming back to stay here again for when we visit the area to do hiking and such. The best quaint and quiet place for a getaway - what a getaway really is for us. We’re so thankful.

  • Always a wonderful time at the Hideaway! Enjoyed the peace and quiet and the most amazing views! The bed is like sleeping on a cloud! Stars are bright, coyotes howling and friendly deer walk by all day! Kyle is a great host and we can’t wait to come back!

    Amber2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Kyle was very accommodating even though my trip was very last minute, check-in was very easy as we just enter the passcode and could leave and go as you please. There was much to do around the area, and he kept a book to inform guest of things to do around the area. The place was sparkling clean and very beautiful. Any questions or concerns I had were answered very quickly, he was very attentive and made sure we had a great stay, there was even a little note from him personally wishing us a nice stay. Thank you so much Kyle for a great weekend!

  • Pictures really dont do this cabin justice. The cabin was incredibly clean and had everything you could possibly need for an extended get away. Adam was quick to respond at any hour of the day, and helped us immediately when our tire had a blow out. He goes above and beyond for his guests and definitely deserves the title of super host! Our week in Colorado was incredible and when we come back we'll definitely be staying with him again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    Nick2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Adam’s cabin was an amazing experience. The space was clean and cozy, and it was the perfect location for us to relax. The yard was great for our dog and we got in some good bird watching while walking around outside! Thank you so much!

  • Adam was an awesome host and proactively kept us updated about the weather while we were there. The house was cozy and the yard was great for the dogs. It was a perfectly little getaway that felt secluded but was still close to everything.

    Taylor2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The house is very nice and very clean. Our host Adam was super nice and communicated very well. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this cabin to anyone. It is a remote cabin but has all the amenities you would like to have. Thanks again Adam for being such a great host!!!!!

    Isaac2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great time at the cabin! I made the mistake of now downloading the directions because I didn’t think about losing service. Adam was wonderful and helped give us turn by turn directions! The cabin is a remote gem with beautiful views to get away from it all! I hope to come back in the spring.

    Kenzie2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time at Adams place and just like the first trip we had an amazing time. I highly recommend visiting here and will be back again in the future. Its secluded with a beautiful view. Great get away from the city life.

    Eric2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Better than the pictures! This was our perfect getaway with our dog to see the mountains and have some peace and quite. The mountains view at daytime and the STARS view at night is worth the whole trip plus whatever else y’all do for close excursions :)

#2 The Elizabeth Báthory Room: This cozy bedroom measures 250 sqft. It contains a very plush king size pillow top beds with mattress toppers, a 52” 4K smart tv, blue tooth sound system, makeup vanity, chandelier, and mini fridge. The room over looks downtown victor Colorado including the Lowell Thomas museum, and has amazing views of the Sangre De Cristo mountain range. All art and decorations are themed after 16th century Hungarian Queen Elizabeth Báthory, who is known for killing and bathing in the blood of over 600 of her young female servants. She believed she could absorb their youth in this way. Local lore says Nikola Tesla wired this building while building the hydroelectric dam at Skagway reservoir in 1899.
  • Had a quick one night stay with my husband and we can’t wait to return. Check in and check out was very easy. The location is right in the heart of Victor - shops, food and bars all right there. The hotel itself is just a wonderfully twisted delight. The aesthetics and details are incredible and it was fun discovering new things throughout our whole stay. The bed was so comfortable and we had all the amenities we needed and then some! Can’t wait to come back in the future!

    Megan2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
