  • This was our second stay at Rosie's. We had a great stay again. Its a stylish flat with plenty of room, and everything we needed for an overnight stay. Helpful information about the locality is provided. Lots of interesting places to eat and drink within walking distance. Thank you Rosie.

    Jane2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Rosie's apartment for one night as I was attending a concert in the area that evening. But nonetheless I was made to feel very welcome - the apartment is spacious but cosy, plenty of natural light and quiet enough not to really be aware that Rosie and her family live 'upstairs'. The check-in details were simple to follow too. It's a short 10 minute bus ride from Sheffield train station - ideal! AND there are plenty of local amenities and places to eat as well.

  • The most amazing host and the most beautiful space. A week of retreat from building works. Rosie couldn’t have made us more welcome. Fabulous!

  • Great Airbnb in a fab location for both Ecclesall Road and the city Center. Fit 4 in perfectly, would come again if needing a place to stay in Sheffield

    Sophie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay here. The flat is spacious and very stylish. We couldn’t fault our experience.

    Aaron2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place, exactly as described, but with plenty of thoughtful extra touches. Rosie suggested some great places for us to eat, was an excellent communicator, and the flat was extremely clean and comfy. We had a double air bed, and a double futon, and extra blankets and storage heaters kept us nice and warm. Would definitely recommend.

    Jenifer2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful little apartment with all you need for a relaxing couple of nights. Rosie was the perfect host and totally flexible around our awkward needs and circumstances. Gorgeous flat and lovely garden view!

    Rachel2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent little place to stay if you're visiting Sheffield. Rosie is a great host... Really easy to communicate with and nice little touches during check in.

    - Why stay in a room, when you could have your own little house? - Built in 1860's - Newly refurbished - Sleeps 6 - Super-king master bed - New shower room - New kitchen - Private parking - In Nether Edge - Two cafés just doors away - Two local supermarkets - Local bakery - Tea, real coffee, juice, fresh fruit and cereals for your breakfast - Near universities, city centre and Peak District - Buses: Chatsworth House every 30 mins. Town every 10. - 24/7 Check-in - Superfast wifi - Internet TV
This is is the converted coach-house and wash-house attached to a fine old Victorian home built in the 1860's. There is a separate entrance for your accommodation so you are in your own private space. We are in the heart of Nether Edge close to local shops, cafes and a traditional local pub. There are frequent buses into town and out into the peak district. This is what you get: Upstairs double bedroom Downstairs bed/sitting room (with an extra bed on platform above). Brand new shower room (installed 2018) with unlimited mains pressure hot water. Newly fitted kitchen. Private off street parking (ample space for 2 cars). Secure bicycle storage. Small outside seating area. Cereals/milk/fruit/tea/coffee/juice for breakfast. The Old Coach House is a great space for two or three people. But it can sleep as many as five or six. If you need the extra beds, the living room can become a second bedroom with two double beds (one king-size double sofa bed, plus one small double on raised platform). You'll need to be good friends though. Two of the beds are in the same room. And you will all be sharing the one bathroom and the small kitchen. The first double bedroom is the old hayloft of the coach-house. Very light and spacious with one window overlooking our courtyard and another overlooking the garden. The floor is wooden. The ceilings are sloping and there are old wooden beams and a big desk. But the main feature of the room is the super-king size bed. The frame is hand crafted from timber reclaimed from an old Yorkshire mill. The mattress is pocket sprung. Medium firm. All the bedding is 100 % cotton and there's a cosy duck feather and down quilt. The second double bedroom (family room) is downstairs. It is the old wash-house. A very characterful room with exposed brickwork, an old solid-fuel iron cooking range and high sloping ceiling. If you are only booking for two guests, this room becomes your living room with sofa, armchair and coffee table. If you are a larger party, there will be one king size sofa bed in this room. Then on a raised platform, an additional small double bed. (4ft). Ideal for a single person or two children. This bed is accessed up a steep narrow staircase. (Mind your head!). There's a little seating area outside - just for you! There's a really good wi-fi signal and high speed internet connection. The Old Coach House has its own wi-fi access point to a Virgin Media 200 Mbps fibre-optic broadband connection. There are ethernet sockets in each bedroom if you prefer to have a wired connection. In each bedroom you have a Smart TV with HD Freeview channels and full internet connectivity for BBC iPlayer, All4, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Now TV etc (you need to bring your own account details to log on to subscription services). Downstairs there's a Cambridge Audio wireless loudspeaker so you can play your own music from a phone or tablet. In the kitchen you have an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge freezer, and washer dryer. You get a range of cereal, muesli, juice, fresh fruit, real coffee, teas and milk so that you can make your own breakfast. There are two cafes very close by if you want to go out for breakfast. And there's a local bakery just round the corner selling fresh bread. For meals later in the day there's traditional pub food at the nearby Byron House pub. And a multitude of different eating places and local pubs a short walk away. If you need a travel cot or high chair, do ask, we can usually let you borrow ours. The Old Coach House has it's own independent gas central heating and unlimited hot water. (new boiler fitted 2017). All bedding is 100% cotton. And there are plenty of towels - no need to bring your own. If you are coming by bicycle (or bringing a bicycle) you are welcome to use our spacious locked bike shed. We'd rather you didn't put your bikes in The Old Coach House.
Nether Edge is 1.8 miles from Sheffield city centre and railway station. It is close to both the University of Sheffield and the Sheffield Hallam University and close to the main teaching hospitals. There are frequent buses to town. There are lots of trees round here and big old stone-built houses. There are plenty of cafes and pubs within walking distance. Indeed two cafes and a pub on our very own street. There's a Sainsbury's Local store and an Indian take-away just round the corner. And a Tesco Local and Pizza Hut ten minutes walk away. We are 2 miles away from the Peak District national park. A short drive or local bus journey from Chatsworth House and Bakewell.

  • Joanna and Pete are such lovely hosts. From the get go we felt at home in their quirky and cozy home. Their house is full of lovely details- you can see the years of sentimental keepsakes. We loved that, as well as the sneaky visits from Martha the cat. Joanna and Pete were loaded with local recommendations and you can just tell they love living in Sheffield (In fact, they made us want to move there :) We really appreciated the tasty breaky in the morning, the comfy matress and how well located their home is. Being a 10 minute walk from the city centre was super handy. We would highly recommend staying here. We'll be back for sure!

This double room is in the house of an artist, in a quiet street and in walking distance from the universities and city centre. The house is full of character and provides a great base from which to explore Sheffield and the surrounding countryside.
The house is spacious shared just with the host and will particularly suit people who appreciate a quiet environment in a relatively central location.
The house is in a great location in the city. It is just a few minutes walk from the bustle of Abbeydale and London Roads, in the heart of the antiques quarter, yet on a very quiet street. Around the corner in the other direction is the leafy area of Nether Edge with a 15 minute walk to Hunters Bar and Ecclesall Road. Numerous convenience stores and independent coffee shops are within just a few minutes walk from the house and larger food shops a little further away. London Road is one of the best known areas for eating out in Sheffield at every budget.
  • Feels like a home away from home with all the paintings and cozy spaces. Helen is a really interesting person and I am glad that I chose her place to stay!

    Megha2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • A very interesting artist's house (lots of paintings) and Helen is a friendly host. The accommodation is basic but comfortable and roomy. A good place to stay if you are happy with a shared bathroom and no tv, and if the location South of the City Centre but not too far from the Universities suits you.

This house was completely renovated from scratch one year ago, and the interiors designed by myself, a former graphic designer. It is designed to be lovely and bright in the day, but super cosy with mood lighting and comfortable furniture in the evening. The guest bedroom has plenty of space and storage, and there is a sofa bed in the lounge that is smaller than a double but larger than a single. It can hold two people at a push (or two children easily), but it's cosy!
There will be a full guide with recommendations and ideas for Sheffield and the surrounding area upon arrival.

The house is located well for all amenities, restaurants, takeaways, pubs. Fabulous 2 parks in Sheffield. Great transport access. Close to Derbyshire. City centre 3 miles great buses around 15 mins. Quiet area . I do have 5 very small friendly dogs, who also love to welcome guests. Gyms nearby virgin, PureGym. Sheffield has many parks and we are in between 2 beautiful parks to go stroll through. Chatsworth by bus 20 mins. Perfect for anywhere in a calm dog friendly house Checkout is flexible
Friendly, convenient. Single room with Tv great view of Derbyshire. The bed does pull out to make into double or 2 singles but the room is then full. Have managed this for a couple of times. Please ask if required would be £10.00 extra per night for second person
It is a very green place lots of trees and open spaces. 2 wonderful parks within walking distance and only 20 mins into fabulous Derbyshire. Ideal for business . Only downside parking is on the road. But it is a dead end and if you drive to Perigree Road the parking is better and same access to house. City center and university easy access great bus routes. Lots of restaurants Great base for work or pleasure stays
  • Cannot think of any negatives. Good location, clean, comfortable and friendly.

  • The room is clean and nice. It's easy to check in and it is very convenient if you take the tram to the city center.

  • I stayed here a whole month to find a permanent place to live, having just moved to Sheffield. All the key amenities are available here, including a washing machine and tumble dryer, fridge/ freezer, plus a shower and two toilets. There's a lounge area as well to watch TV and a small garden to sit in. The house was always warm and the bed was very comfortable too. The bedroom was very spacious and it included a wardrobe, two bedside tables, and a plant. Tommy, the co-host, will be around and he's really nice - he'll be able to help you if you need anything as well. The house is only 3 minutes' walk to the tram stop on Arbourthorne Road. Choose the purple line 'Cathedral route' to go to the city centre (where the Cathedral is) which is about 10-12 minutes total, or the blue 'Malin Bridge' route that's the same route except it goes further into the city then up to Malin Bridge. Both trams stop at the train station along the way. On weekday mornings they come along about every 10 minutes. The other direction takes you to Herdings Park. Within the area the house is, you'll be near to Norfolk Park if you want to have a nice afternoon stroll plus the house is a short walk away from seeing a lovely panoramic view across the city. Food-wise there's a fish and chip shop about a 5 minute walk from the house which was good quality and quite a good price. There's also a premier convenience store next to the chip shop. Aside from the small 'rumble' from the trams passing by along Arbourthorne Road, it's a quiet area. So whether you stay here a day, a week or a month, this is a great place to settle into, enjoy the local walks, and whizz around the city from. And the price for it all is pretty good!

Are you coming to study or work in Sheffield? Then this room will be perfect for you! It has a flying bed (like a bunk bed but with no bed below it), a desk and chair for work or study, a hanging rail for clothes and shelves for your things. You will be sharing the house with other friendly and kind people who work at the University of Sheffield. We occasionally go out to the cinema together and have meals together.
At the moment there are 5 people living in the house, including my girlfriend and I. The house is very quiet and clean. The people who come to stay or live in the house are often related to the university, they come for short-term courses or research projects. The house is built on three floors. On the ground floor there is a bedroom, a small toilet, the kitchen (with a 6/8 seat table, a big fridge-freezer, a washing machine, a dishwasher and plenty of pots, cooking utensils, cutlery and plates - so no need to buy or bring anything). We have a small garden with a table and chairs to sit outside if there is nice weather. On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms. This room is on the third floor along with a bathroom that is shared between 4 rooms. My room is also on the third floor and I have my own bathroom.
The house is in a beautiful, safe residential area in the south east of Sheffield, the postcode is S12 2UL. There is a park nearby with a tennis court and a football field, there is also a gym (with a swimming pool) within walking distance. There are some shops around to buy food.
  • Friendly host, considerate service, nice kitchen, tidy and clean bedroom

  • Lovely house in lovely location. Short drive to the city centre and only 20 meters away from a nice park. Gus and Louisa were lovely hosts and were always willing to go out of their way to give me a helping hand with anything I needed and were very pleasant people to talk to. The bedroom was great to stay in; cosy, warm and utile. The desk was a nice touch for me to conduct my nightly studies. Would 10/10 recommend a stay here. Top value for money.

  • Nadeem is a very attentive, thoughtful host. He really cares that his guests are comfortable and have everything they need. Nadeem was also very kind to offer us dinner and breakfast. He had good tips on local travel as we were seeing a concert nearby. Nadeem's guest bedroom is a peaceful relaxing room and the bed is very cosy! I would definitely recommend staying with Nadeem. Thanks Nadeem!

  • Nadeem is a great host and he did the things that other hosts don't normally do, such as cooking breakfast for the guests, picking up our bags from the train station (we were originally planning to drop our bags at his place before we headed to the peak district for hiking) and giving us a small gift. I and my friend chatted with him a lot and we watched the TV together. We will definitely come back again

Our clean and spacious property is a stone's throw from Sheffield city centre and the Peak District National Park. Why not share coffee and cake in the cosy lounge? Dinner in the dining-kitchen? Morning tea in the garden? Feel free to make yourself at home in the shared spaces or retreat to your private room. Rich is looking forward to making your stay in Sheffield as welcoming and enjoyable as possible.
Your cosy single room is the perfect setting for relaxation during your time in Steel City. From your window you can look out across the city and let in the breeze. The comfy bed and duck-down duvet make for perfect hibernation, and the double glazing, central heating, and blackout curtains will keep things toasty and quiet. Travelling with others or after a little extra space? I also list a double room for rent! Why not check if that's available too? Make yourself at home during your stay, and feel free to ask any questions you have. I'm looking forward to meeting you.
The semi-detached brick house is built on a hill just outside the city centre. It is tastefully furnished and modern, having been built only in 2005. Despite its proximity to the city, the estate is quiet and you're never far from green space.
  • I had a good stay at Richards house. Very clean. Unfortunately I didn't get to meet Richard as he works shifts and I work long days. Getting in and out of his home was a great touch, using an app on your smartphone. Very easy to do. Would definitely stay again

The room is exactly as advertised and you can use the entire house (including kitchen and living room) during your stay. • Great stay, cosy well thought out room with a really comfortable bed!! Richard was responsive, cats were adorable! No problems-good for a couple of days or longer for work/courses. The house as well as a whole is great clean and modern and we used the kitchen and living room (Richard was occasionally around with an occasional chat but usually out all day with work sometimes weekend). Check in can be confusing (smartphone needed) at first but if you follow all the instructions it’s fine. Just a reminder no lock on bedroom door. 25min walk ish to town downhill-to come back...it’s uphill-but tram stop Is a few mins walk from the house. Premier supermarket store close by for basics. Thanks again, recommended.

A lovely, light, spacious attic double bedroom equipped with fridge, drink making facilities, TV and fitted wardrobes. In a pleasant suburb only 1.5 miles from city centre/universities and 6 miles to Peak District - private off-road parking space outside the house - local amenities, parks and plenty of buses - a short walk to antiques quarter. Would suit business or pleasure guests. Guests to my home will receive a warm welcome, and advice on the area as well as a comfy, peaceful stay.
Number 4 is very comfortable, access to the bedroom is on the 2nd floor, up a flight of stairs inside the front door and up a second flight of stairs. Drinks making facilities and a fridge in the room. The room is very spacious and private, perfect for a business person; equipped with a desk and chair to set up a workstation, or anyone wanting to visit friends and family or just have a day out in Sheffield with a TV and creature comforts to make your stay enjoyable. • The ad is spot on. This certainly is a room with a difference. Lots of little extras, including ample wardrobe space, large LCD tv and hairdryer. The bed and mattress were both faultless. The whole place is spotlessly clean. Pat is a lovely lady who has obviously worked hard to provide her guests with a 5 star service. Would definitely recommend and book again the next time I'm in the area.

  • Pat’s house is immaculate! The decoration, the cleanliness and Pat’s hospitality. I accidentally marked Pat’s carpet, she was incredibly gracious about it and didn’t make me feel embarrassed. 10 minutes by car to the Sheffield arena, a very comfortable, convenient place to stay to experience Sheffield.

It's thoughtfully decorated with a cosy interior and situated in The Bank, a stylish 1930s art deco building. The apartment has a double bed, electric cooker and hob, fridge, washing machine, sofa and smart TV. The Piggy Bank sleeps up to 2. It's family friendly, high chairs/cots are supplied. Check in anytime using keycode entry.
*currently only available to key workers and non-UK residents who are unable to travel home* The Piggy Bank is situated on the ground floor at The Bank. The space is bright and airy due to the two electronic skylights on the living room ceiling, which can be opened via remote control. The skylights, not windows, provide the natural light in this apartment. The skylights are fitted with rain sensors, so the skylights will close if rain is detected. This feature, along with the mid-century luxury decor, gives the apartment a unique feel. This apartment is situated in The Bank, a stylish 1930s art deco building. We fell in love with the building for its historical significance and stylish interior. Apartments this good, in the centre of Sheffield, are a rarity. It owes its aesthetically pleasing architecture and art deco style to Sheffield's pre-war industrial prominence. It has been renovated for residential use to a high specification, ensuring you a cozy, enjoyable stay.

Kelham Island Museum Opened in 1982, the museum’s purpose is to showcase and celebrate Sheffield’s rich history as a major British industrial powerhouse. Kelham Island is one of the most desirable locations in Sheffield. It’s a pleasant area, well worth a visit. Weston Park Museum The museum contains Sheffield's archaeology, natural history, decorative art and social history collections. Today, it incorporates what was formerly the Mappin Art Gallery. Millennium Gallery Showcasing Sheffield’s art, craft and design pieces. Sheffield Cathedral Completed in 1850, the Cathedral remains a place of significant interest. It’s an impressive building and fine concert venue, having hosted many of the world’s finest choral ensembles. Peak District The Peak District National Park is an area of stunning natural beauty. Many of our guests come to Sheffield with the intention of hiking in the park. It covers 555 square miles, including parts of Derbyshire, Yorkshire, Staffordshire and Cheshire.
  • This studio flat is excellent value for money and a great location for visitors to Sheffield! I would definitely recommend this spot for solo travellers and couples. The check-instructions were very clear and I felt very safe and secure in the building itself. The flat was absolutely spotless, and was a very pleasant place to rest and to make my meals. Greg was very responsive on the messages before and during my stay. Thank you for a lovely stay!

This lovely historic coach house is situated in our garden with a private and secure entrance. It is two storeys with bedroom, bathroom and living room and a small area for making tea, coffee etc. It can accommodate up to four people with a double bed upstairs and a sofa bed downstairs. There is off road parking for one car and a sink/basic cooking area on the patio. When booking, please make sure to include the number of guests who will be staying.
There is a wooden staircase that leads up to the bedroom, which is open plan. We can provide a stairgate and travel cot if requested. We will provide tea, coffee and milk (there is a small silent fridge). There is a small area where you can prepare food, as well as a microwave and toaster, also there is an outside area on the patio which includes a sink for washing up and a basic cooking set up with two camping gas stoves with gas provided. There is a lot of wildlife in the garden with plenty of birdsong and the occasional fox.
Meersbrook is a quiet and friendly neighbourhood close to the city centre and the Peak District. Within a 5 minute walk from our house, you can be at the top of Meersbrook park, with some of the best views of the city as well as Bishops House, a Tudor building, built in around 1500, which is open to the public. The park has a walled garden (selected opening times), a skatebowl, football pitch and playground. If you walk for 10 minutes in the other direction, you will come to Chesterfield Road, which has a selection of independent cafes pubs and restaurants, (vegan, Italian, Turkish, etc). There are also larger supermarkets for all your needs.
  • We had a great stay here in Sheffield! A beautiful place to stay, very comfortable and homely. Stephen was very responsive, check in was easy, and the Coach House surpassed our expectations. Would really recommend a stay here - we hope to return!

  • Great little place which has everything you need.

    Rachel2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Stephen's place for work and it provided a wonderful two nights sleep for me. The house is cosy, rustic and very homely. It had its own private entrance which allowed me to come and go as I pleased (which was really handy as I arrived very late and left very early in the morning). Stephen was brilliant in communicating and I was really happy with the accommodation. Thank you very much.

  • Lovely and cosy place. Had everything we needed. Check in and out was very easy. Steve and his family were very welcoming and helpful. Parking very easy and communication was pretty much instant. About a half an hour walk from the city centre which wasn’t an issue or only a £6-10 taxi. Would definitely recommend staying here if you can.

    Oliver2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a super find and the place is quirky, individual and very homely! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and the hosts are lovely people who couldn’t do any more to make your stay easy and enjoyable. The addition of creative design choices really make this a special stay, and I must say the bed and bedding were scrumptious!

    Lisa2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really cosy space perfect for a stay in Sheffield. Lots of local shops nearby so there are plenty of dinner/pub options. The bed is super comfy and everything you need is provided.

Our studio flat is part of our home but it has a private entrance. The studio is up a flight of stairs. It is a light, modern space with a separate shower room, a desk area, a fridge, a double bed and a single bed. We will leave food (including home made bread and jam) and drinks so that you can enjoy a welcome drink on arrival and a good "continental" breakfast in the morning. Its location on the A61 south of Sheffield is convenient for access to both the M1 and the Derbyshire Peaks
Our studio has a double bed and a single bed, a dining table, 3 chairs and a desk area with an office-type chair. There is a fridge for the use of guests. We are sorry that the cooker and washing machine are not available for guests. We can provide a highchair if needed. There is space for one car on our drive and further on-road parking nearby. Bikes can be left indoors in the downstairs passage. It would be OK with me if a couple wish to bring a son or daughter making 3 people - otherwise I have stated a maximum of 2.
Woodseats has several restaurants, coffee bars and take-aways including Italian, Indian, and a Costa. Graves Park is behind our house with excellent walks, tennis courts, a playground and a children's animal farm. Sheffield city centre with its two universities is 15 minutes drive and you can be in the Peak District in 20 minutes
  • Lovely stay, very clean. Great homemade bread, jams and biscuits.

A very spacious, newly renovated loft conversion boasting 3 large Velux windows with amazing views over the city. Large comfy double bed with memory foam mattress, 50" Plasma TV and private ensuite and shower. The communal spaces consist of an open plan kitchen/diner with cosy seating area. Equipped with TV, large corner sofa and an original Victorian fireplace. To the rear of the property we have a very pleasant outdoor decked patio with garden furniture and BBQ facilities.
The loft conversion has an ensuite shower and wc. Beautiful views over the entire city from not one but 3 large velux windows. Rest assured all 3 windows are fitted with blackout blinds, if you don't want to watch the stars. The loft was newly refurbished 12 months ago, including new carpets, it needs to be seen to be appreciated.
My house is very well preserved Victorian Terrace with a beautiful loft conversion situated in a much sought after area of Sheffield. Only 2.5 miles from the city centre (with direct bus links) and only a ten minute drive to the Peak District, with a varied choice of beautiful parks within walking distance. The position of my house is perfect to enjoy the best of both worlds. Wether it be a long walk in the beautiful peak district or experiencing the vibrant, cosmopolitan city of Sheffield. We are 5 minutes walk from Ecclesall road, which has a large selection of bars, restaurants and cafes. There are no reviews yet, for my property, due to the fact that I have only very recently listed the space. But hey...everybody's got to start somewhere.

Nicola, who was in charge, was so friendly , good and helpful who gave me all the information. Such a convenient area, the bus stop right at the door step of the place, from where you can take bus no.272 to Hope Valley & Castleton, Derbyshire, in half an hour ! Ten mins from the city centre and Railway Station. So many cafes and a variety of restaurants at a very short walk from the place. Breakfast was ok too.
