  • Worth a stay.

  • A real authentic farm stay in a family built wing of the main house. Cooked breakfast was perfect as were all the little additions. The hosts are really lovely, honest, hardworking people. We will stay again next time we go to Bristol if they'll have us!

Fig Tree Barn is a separate, self-contained barn conversion on the edge of the village of Congresbury, 7 miles from Bristol airport. There is a sunny living/dining room with great views over fields and to the Mendips beyond, a double bedroom with an extra bed and a sofa bed and a courtyard garden. You can make your own simple breakfast in the mornings - basics provided. There is a fridge with freezer, coffee machine, toaster and microwave but no oven/hob. Free off road parking. Sorry, no pets.
Make yourselves comfortable in our character barn. The downstairs double bed is very comfortable and the sofa bed is new and good quality - there is also the option of using the extra single bed in the room downstairs making it a ‘family room’. Makes a great weekend get away for a couple, now upgraded to accommodate longer stays with a fridge and a microwave and a courtyard garden space for enjoying sunny days and warm nights! Please note - the accommodation is perfect if you are visiting with a baby who is not yet crawling or child/children around aged seven and above but it is not suitable or child-safe for toddlers or small children.
Congresbury is a thriving village with some traditional pubs with good food, cider and ales, and also some great restaurants within a very short radius of home. This region has a lot to offer in terms of natural beauty and outdoors activities. There are lovely walks nearby, mountain biking, pony trekking, caving and rock climbing, golf, even dry skiing and frisbee golf! There are places of historical interest in the local villages and the nearby towns of Cheddar, Wells, Glastonbury, Clevedon and Weston Super Mare are full of character. Bristol and Bath are easily accessed by road or public transport have something of interest for everyone. Bristol is known for Clifton Suspension bridge and the SSGreat Britain, for cafes, restaurants and pubs, and for its music, theatre, 'green' culture and festivals.
  • Clean and comfortable accommodation with rural views on 3 sides, including Cadbury Hill, held by some to be King Arthur's seat. The absence of a kitchen sink is actually a bonus - if you leave dirty crockery on a tray in the morning, it is replaced by sparkling clean crockery by the evening! No tv but the wifi allows streaming of your favourite programmes with no buffering - and we enjoyed the 221B Baker St board game left out for us, along with the freshly baked loaf which went beautifully with the butter and conserves provided. Thanks, Jackie!

  • Lovely cosy place!

    Villy2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Jackie was a good host and a great baker. The Barn was comfortable and warm, easy to find and exactly what we were looking for. Parking was easy, good directions, well appointed and had everything we might need.

    Jo2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful little barn conversion, with really thoughtful touches from Jackie (thank you for the soya milk!). Good parking, even enough room to get our rental Transit in beside Jackie's car. Location is really handy for the airport, and if you're arriving really late, Jackie will make sure you can get into the property without any fussing around in the dark. I will definitely be staying here again if I'm ever down this way!

  • Lovely place thank you

    Adam2020-02-14T00:00:00Z

  • An amazing place to stay, especially if you're attending a wedding at Coombe Lodge. Great local tips and amazing ammenities/breakfast options in the property

    Matt2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We attended a wedding at Coombe Lodge and it was the perfect location. Donna and Rob has lots of baby bits (Bath, high chair etc) and kindly set up a travel cot for our baby which made life so much easier when we got home late! There were 4 adults (and a baby) staying and we fitted fine! Would definitely recommend and not hesitate staying again.

    Rebecca2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The annex was warm, clean and cosy. Good breakfast options were supplied and the hosts were very accommodating. We had our two young children with us and no car. We were attending a wedding nearby and couldn’t get any taxi companies to come and collect us as the location was so remote. We should have hired a car which would have allowed us to get about and explore a little easier.

    Nicola2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, very cosy and comfortable, felt very at home and easy to find. Great host too!

    Michelle2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • I was only here for one night but it was a lovely place to stay, made all the much better by the very welcoming and friendly hospitality. It was a shame I didn't get to make more use of the property and explore the great location. Clean, tidy, spacious and homely!

    Amina2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely safe secluded space with loads of room, all facilities you could need and a comfy double bed. Will be back!

    Harry2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We can certainly recommend a stay here. Donna and Rob were excellent hosts, offering us blankets to cover our car windows as we had an early start for the airport. The place is clean and stylish with an array of breakfast goodies. Can’t really comment on much else as we only stayed overnight before an early flight from Bristol airport so did not really see the area.

    Jane-Etta2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Alison's cottage over new year and enjoyed our stay. Liked the thoughtful touches like Kit Kats on arrival, and the cottage was really cosy and well kept. Great location too, we had a fairly relaxed time and had our 1 year old with us so didn't get to explore as much as we'd like, but recommend the pub opposite, the Thatchers cider shop and the Strawberry line is a great walk. Jim was also really helpful and friendly with some local tips when we bumped into him. Thanks for the great hospitality!

    Richard2020-01-02T00:00:00Z

  • We stayed at Alison’s place as we had booked a tour of the Thatchers farm and enjoyed a meal in the pub afterwards - perfect location just over the road. Lovely warm cosy cottage, well recommended. Communication great and check in easy, wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

    Emma2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Alisons as it was nice and close to family in the area, it was fantastic and homely and perfect for travelling with our young daughter (nb. there are a few internal stairs, but we are used to this in our own home, not a problem for us at all). It has plenty of room and a nice living room and kitchen downstairs for evenings at home. Alison was great with comms and helpful when we had questions. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area. Thanks for having us.

    Renee2019-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, comfortable cottage in a fantastic location. Little, thoughtful touches made all the difference. Opposite a beautiful child- and dog-friendly pub that serves a wide array of Thatchers cider and some delicious food.

  • Best place to stay in Bristol! It was a pleasure staying in Bev and Rob‘s house 10 minutes distance from Bristol airport, with easy bus connection to Bristol city and the areas surrounding, in a beautiful rural setting. Both Bev and Rob, as well as their cute dogs are very welcoming and lovely. They literally had an answer to every single question! Their house is absolutely stunning - so was our room and our bathroom! Nice and cosy interior and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was also lovely. To sum up, this accommodation is highly recommendable - we‘ll be back. Thank you Lara Sue & Christopher

HOME “The Den” is a purpose-built ground floor double en-suite guest room, separate and opposite our main house. It has its own entrance and a parking space is available for our guests. An ideal choice for a pre or post stay when flying in or out of Bristol International Airport. We are conveniently situated one minute’s drive from the silver zone long stay car park and two minutes from the main terminal, however we are in a peaceful country side location and not under the flight path.
“The Den” is used as guest accommodation and has just been purpose built, including 1 x King Size bed, 1 x Single bed and brand new shower room etc. We appreciate that a stay with us is normally at the start or end of your holiday, so we want to make it as pleasant as possible. There is ample room to host a Travel Cot, can be supplied if required or bring your own. Parking is included in the price for each night of your stay. If parking is required for more than one night or for more than your stay with us (eg while your away) then please contact us to discuss – we can arrange limited number of Holiday Parking stays at a small additional charge we can also arrange to shuttle you to/from the airport. Please contact us for prices. Please note: we are up a farm lane/track which is 'work in progress' and a little bumpy in places, please bear with us. Unfortunately we are unable to accept arrivals after 10pm.
We do have dogs and cats around the house, but they are never allowed in “The Den”. Due to the proximity of our home we do not cater for stag and hen parties. The accommodation is better suited to single travellers, couples or small families. “The Den” is ideal accommodation for pre or post night travels for flights at Bristol Airport or longer periods as a base to explore Bristol and Somerset
  • Definitely recommend staying here, so close to the airport and Mell even offers a parking space and drop off and pick up at the terminal for small extra charge which is a lot cheaper than parking at the airport! Very modern space with a comfy bed and powerful shower. Nice little amenities for breakfast in the morning and fresh milk provided. Great touches, great host! Will definitely stay again on our next trip away, Mell was quick to reply to queries and very friendly too. Highly recommend 11/10!!

  • Emily’s apartment was perfectly situated for the airport, spotlessly clean and very well equipped; the bed was also very comfortable. Our stay was made much easier by the provision of a high chair, travel cot and even a basket of toys. Although we were up very early for a flight and therefore did not eat breakfast, Emily had thoughtfully provided cereal, bread, butter, jam and milk. Thank you for having us!

  • When you turn up 24hrs early and the host is totally un-phased a incredibly welcoming you know you have an amazing host. The flat is perfect with some little touches that make it memorable. The convenience to Bristol Airport is perfect just 15 minutes and we were in the carpark. There are a number of places close by to eat or the local pizza shop deliver to the door. I would Highly recommended this location.

  • We had a brilliant stay at this flat. The flat was perfect - beautifully decorated with lovely touches around the place, and was a fab place to stay. Dean was so helpful with answering questions in the run up to our stay, and to top it off the breakfast at the cafe downstairs was DELICIOUS! Thank you Dean, would definitely recommend.

  • A delightful apartment, well located in the centre of Nailsea. It is very comfortable and spacious and well equipped with everything you would need when you are away from home. Breakfast in the cafe is an added treat. We would certainly recommend a stay at Dean's place.

    Davina2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great flat. Spotlessly clean, well furnished and does exactly what it says on the tin. We spent two evenings in the flat whilst visiting our son. It is well equipped and in a good location close to shops and eateries. The dog felt at home and there was a nearby space where he could let nature take its course. Also the breakfast that was included was a great added bonus. Dean responded quickly to all requests for information. Excellent free local parking. We will be back when we are next in the area. I would recommend Dean and his flat without any reservation.

Woodside Lodge - because it sits on the entrance to extensive private woodland, whilst located within our own 2 acres of beautiful gardens. We created this stunning Lodge in 2017 with its large windows, cathedral ceiling and fabulous facilities. Whilst ensuring we had a state of the art guest house we wanted it to blend with the neighbouring woodland and with this in mind clad the exterior in oak. We could have created two or even three bedrooms from this space but decided less was more.
You enter into an open plan kitchen & dining room with windows on three sides looking towards woodland and gardens. The Kitchen is cutting edge with all appliances and kitchen utensils to make your stay comfortable and home from home. The lounge sits a few steps lower and for those looking for winter comfort there is a wood burning stove with logs ready for loading. If you decide on a night in there is a 50inch SMART TV with freeview and DVD player. The bedroom has a Kingsize bed with luxurious 'The White Company' bed linen. The bathroom has a large walk in shower and fresh towels & toiletries.
Wildlife: Nature is on your door step if thats your thing, or you're not far from many interesting towns and villages. Whilst we live in this idyllic setting we are close to Bristol airport and you can hear those planes that pass in our direction. This will be compensated by the abundance of wildlife that share the woodland and local farmland. We seldom go a day without seeing deer. You may want to enjoy trying your hand at badger watching.
  • A lovely airbnb location both inside and out, with great people running it! Keen to return! This airbnb met and exceeded expectations! Easy to find, amazing amenities and little touches, would 100% recommend staying here rather than in bristol if you have a vehicle!

    Joseph2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most incredible long weekend away. The lodge had a fire going when we arrived, fresh eggs laid by hens that day, homemade carrot cake, and a fridge with milk in. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking with really good knives. The bed was super comfy with feather pillows & duvet. Slightly noisy airplanes taking off. But earplugs were provided. They didn’t bother us too much being early risers. Would definitely recommend.

    Janina2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderfully relaxing couple of days. The lodge is beautiful and extremely clean - it's kitted out with everything you might need. We enjoyed cooking and watching Netflix on the big TV, and the fire kept us warm. Alison met us on arrival, and was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She let us know we could contact her for anything we needed, and was very quick to respond when I did send her a message. She'd recommended The Plough to us, and we had a fantastic dinner there. We didn't want to leave, and would almost certainly have booked another night if the lodge had been available!

    Kathryn2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Wow, this place is amazing. From the moment we booked, Alison was a great host. The directions to the property were great. On arrival Steve met us and gave us the tour where we were greeted with an already lit fire and beautiful homemade flap jack and fresh eggs. The property itself is beautiful, the kitchen has everything you could need and we cooked every night, there was plenty of prep space and all the utensils you required. We particularly loved the vintage tea set and coffee facilities. The lounge was cosy and spacious with plenty of light and privacy and the fire gave lots of welcomed heat. The attention to detail continued upstairs with an immaculately clean bathroom with loads of fresh towels and lovely toiletries if required, the bed was large and comfy and once night time fell was silent. The location is great, we loved exploring the walks that Alison and Steve recommended. I can honestly say the best air bnb we have used and would like to return. A BIG THANK YOU TO YOU BOTH

    Stella2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Alison is a brilliant host, from the moment we checked ourselves in up to when we said goodbye. It really is the small details that matter like ensuring the place was warm for us when we arrived. Will definitely reccomend without hesitation. Beautiful modern place, well fitted kitchen not short of amenities. Thanks guys for making our stay memorable!

    Hasib2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place is absolutely beautiful. Hosts were lovely, and the place was full of lovely things! Thank you for the eggs & flapjacks too! Grounds were stunning, bathroom is gorgeous... really nothing to fault. Would love to come back and stay again, can’t recommend enough! ☺️

  • What an amazing place to stay! A real luxurious treat; we won air bnb with this find! From the superior quality fixtures and fittings to the stylish space to the home made flapjacks and milk in the fridge.. we enjoyed every second of our break away. Friends have seen photos and asked for details to book too! Can’t wait to come back and explore some more. Perfect weekend away ❤️

    Rebecca2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect night for me and my girlfriend, we both can’t speak highly enough of. The hosts are both super friendly with lovely dogs, the attention to detail is great everything is of high quality and makes you feel comfortable, the eggs and flapjacks that were given to us were amazing! We will defiantly both be returning for a couple of days next time to explore more of the local village and woodlands

  • Julie and husband are great host. Even though I arrived really late, they waited for me to arrive and walk me through the whole flat. They are always really help. Ask them for anything, they will be willing to help like the laundry and there are always meals ready on demand. Love the hospitality and the cosy touch of the flat. Not in need of anything by the time you get into the flat. Truly a home away from home.

The hobbit house is a unique, quirky and cosy building, situated at the end of the garden next to a stream with fields behind.
The hobbit house has a living/ bed space with a wood burner. It has a fully equipped, small kitchen, decking next to the stream and an outside seating area. The toilets and shower are in the main house and are available at any time.
  • A wonderful relaxing stay in a quirky hobbit house. Loads of wonderful touches and atmospheric lighting and a log fire. Will visit again.

  • The hobbit house is absolutely perfect for anyone looking for an escape into nature, while still being extremely comfortable with every amenity you could hope for. The stream running right outside the front door was so relaxing to listen to, and the bed was the comfiest we’ve ever found on Airbnb! • What a lovely place, and equally lovely people. My partner and I felt welcome immediately from our arrival, Sue is a great host and very attentive to your needs, she genuinely wants you to enjoy yourself as much as possible and would go above and beyond to do so. The Hobbit House is beautiful, homely, and very close to the earth. Lovely touches, lovely brook running behind, fire pits, a log burner, a little kitchenette and everything you need for a perfect, tranquil stay. My only regret is that I wish I'd stayed for longer. Thanks again Sue, if we're ever local again we'll choose to come back to you. Christian & Amy.

“The Hayloft" is our recently renovated studio apartment here at "Woodpeckers", attached to our family home, but completely separate with its own private entrance, kitchen and bathroom. Located at the end of a long private drive with private off-street parking and next to woodland, the only noise you're likely to hear is the birds in the morning. Please note the listing is for 3 people but we only accept bookings for 2 adults maximum plus 1 or 2 young children.
Immaculately renovated space, with a fully fitted kitchen with hobs, oven and microwave. Newly fitted bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. Gas central heating and electrics are both independent from the main house supply. There is a queen-sized bed with memory foam mattress and a double sofa bed, which means it is possible to sleep up to 4 people but please contact us in advance to check the space will be sufficient for your needs. 2 adults and 1-2 children works fine, we don’t take bookings for more than 2 adults, sorry it’s just a bit too snug!
The Hayloft backs onto ‘Nowhere Wood’ - 4 acres of beautiful woodland - and extends into the full 14 acres of Trendlewood Community Park. There are walks and runs from the front door through the woodland and further afield across open countryside. There are walking trails to Tyntesfield National Trust estate and local mountain biking trails are only a short ride from the house. Coates House is our favourite day-time coffee shop and lunch stop, a super friendly independent local cafe, only a 10 minute walk. Our local family-friendly pub, The Old Farmhouse, is also only a 5-10 minute stroll through the woods and they serve food every day.
  • Such a lovely place to stay. Extremely great value, communication was amazing and super quick, recommendations for places to eat was superb- we ate at the old farmhouse, which was a beautiful pub with real good home made food. We will definitely stay again. The place was super clean, had cute little touches- fresh flowers, chocolate etc. Thank you very much. HIGHLY recommended!

The Gin Bar is at the bottom of our garden. This double ensuite guest room is separate to the main house, has its own entrance and a parking space is available for guests. We are conveniently situated less than a few minutes from Bristol Airport’s Long Stay Car Park and literally five minutes from the main terminal, however we are in a countryside location and not in the main flight path - so in a perfect spot for a good nights sleep before you fly!
The Gin Bar is at the bottom of our garden ... often used as guest accommodation and very occaisionally stripped out and used as a bar for parties! The shower room has had a recent refit, so is all fresh and lovely! We want it to be easy for you to stay, so towels, shampoo, conditioner & shower gel are provided. A hairdryer is also provided. A travel cot is available on request We are just a few minutes from the airport, so in a fantastic location for early/late flights. We can point you in the direction of a couple of great pubs just a couple of minutes drive away.
We are in amongst agricultural farming countryside - pretty to look at, sometimes comes with farmyardy smells! We are surrounded by fields and yet just a really short distance (just a couple of miles) from the airport. There are some super dooper places to eat locally and access to airport car parking is really easy from us. We are also really close to several local wedding venues including Combe Lodge, Winford Manor & Barley Wood.
  • Beautiful quirky cottage in gorgeous gardens with free parking and WIFI. Sara is so helpful and its SO close to the airport - we can’t wait to stay there again!

The 'Old Brewery' annexe provides self catering accommodation attached to our own home. It has its own stable door entrance off the stone drive at the front of the house, where there is parking. It comprises of an open plan living space, double bedroom and shower room. We provide a welcome pack to greet you on your arrival. Our house is located in a small farming village called Kingston Seymour. The house has had many uses over its 200 year history and is now a much loved family home.
The annexe has a warm country feel and is equipped with everything needed to make your stay comfortable. We provide all linen and towels, as well as a welcome pack that contains some fresh milk and breakfast items. A travel cot and high chair are available on request for no additional charge. Set in the heart of the village, the house has always been a prominent feature of village life. In its time it has been a doctor's surgery, part of The Kingston Seymour's brewery, basket weaver's workshop and most recently the village stores.
Kingston Seymour is a rural village, where cows and sheep are part of the surroundings and wildlife is all around. If you are lucky you might spot a kingfisher darting along one of the rhynes. Our village has an activate community, well used village hall and beautiful church. Visitors are always warmly welcomed at any of our village events. The country lanes are a good place for walking and cycling. There are also 3 fishing lakes in Kingston Seymour, one of which has a cafe serving cakes and hot meals. If you enjoy the outdoors, further afield there is the 'Strawberry Line' cycle path which weaves its way through Thatchers cider farm. The Mendip Hills provide beautiful walking opportunities and traditional pubs. The Victorian seaside town of Clevedon is a 10 minute drive away. It has a picturesque seafront, famous Victorian pier, coffee shops and other boutiques. It also boasts the longest running independent cinema in the UK, all of which is well worth a visit. Bristol, with everything it has to offer, is a 30 minute drive away. We are also lucky enough to have Wells and Cheddar a 30 minute drive in the other direction.

  • From the photos we were a little unsure about the position of the property, but it is away from the road and you do not feel at all overlooked in any way. It is a lovely space, larger than expected and the walking from the doorstep really is an absolute joy with miles and miles to roam. Jonathan is a very considerate host, offered us wellies, bikes and lots of helpful information, plus was very speedy in replacing a broken corkscrew and cracked cafetiere - which was most appreciated! Many thanks Jonathan, we will most certainly be back....

    Caroline2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • An absolute gem. If you want a getaway in a nice quiet area with lots of opportunities to go for walks and treks, then we thoroughly recommend. The cottage is set on large grounds that back onto woodlands and a short hill climb that give some beautiful views of the area. We had two large dogs with us and there was room to set up a crate and dog bed without any access issues. The cottage is quite spacious and nicely done. It was very clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. Books, board games, DVDs. Tea, coffee and milk were a nice touch. Jon and his wife were very friendly, as was their dog Lola. We had a great weekend there.

The Chocolate Box is situated in the courtyard of The Old Malthouse. The accommodation of a double bedroom and bathroom is above a working chocolate cookery school, The Chocolate Tart, 20% discount if you would like to join a class. There's a microwave and oven for reheating but no hob/cooking kit. We are close to Bristol Airport (6 miles), Yatton Train Station (2 miles) M5 (5 miles). Bristol, Clevedon, Cheddar, Weston Super Mare, and The Mendips. Let the aroma of chocolate lull you to sleep!
The space is quite bijou with low ceilings. A spiral staircase takes you to your bedroom, so can be awkward for extra large luggage. We are happy to help with large luggage, just ask. Chocolate workshops can happen any time from 10am to 6pm. We will advise you if a class is happening. From time to time there may be an evening workshop. Workshop students have no access to your bedroom or bathroom upstairs.
3 pubs are within 5 mins walk
  • The Chocolate Box is a lovely spot to stay the night. It is clean and cozy. Make sure you take advantage of the opportunity to attend a Chocolate making workshop while you are there!

  • What a lovely little find! We arrived earlier than expected only to find trouble booking a taxi to take us to the Thatchers Cider Farm tour! This wasn’t a problem for Lisa though, she drove us there no problem at all!! We arrived back around half 10 of the evening, our room was simply perfect, so clean and welcoming! A bath is a must, so relaxing!! We left a little later than planned due to over sleeping but again this didn’t seem to be a problem. Our hosts were nothing but welcoming and accommodating, Cocoa the dog was also incredibly friendly and our complimentary chocolates added that extra special touch! Thank you for everything, we will definitely be returning xx

  • Thank You to Edward for being a great host and sorry for dragging you out in the rain when we couldn’t find the entrance on arrival. The chocolate box is a fantastic barn conversion finished to a very high spec there is nothing we could complain about. (Well maybe the weather) The village on Congresbury has three pubs and we visited them all and also an Indian Kismet where we went for food first evening all of which were very good and welcoming.

    Sean2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • A very comfortable one night stay at The Chocolate Box (we were attending a wedding close by). The space is beautifully appointed and charming. A bar of handmade chocolate on arrival was a very nice touch. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

Take a photo tour around Pier View - this lovely 2-bedroom, 2-bath/shower-room apartment in a Victorian house built about 1880 in Clevedon’s seaside Conservation Area. The apartment is offered on a 7-day full week basis, with changeover on Friday; and also on 3-days weekend, plus 4-days weekday basis with changeovers on Friday and Monday (3 nights minimum). Please enter dates and group details for availability and exact prices. Do ask if you have any questions, we try to reply quickly.
The Corona virus is a current cause for concern. We use a professional cleaning company who after each stay have two staff working for 3-person hours to provide a complete hygienic clean. They remove all used linen and clean all surfaces using anti-microbial detergents. They wet clean floors and vacuum clean all carpets. They provide fresh linen which has been professionally laundered at high temperature and steam pressed by Johnson’s cleaners. The apartment has been recently renovated and features classic high ceilings, beautiful coving, and period features such as (restored) sash windows that slide effortlessly (but provide complete, cosy draught-proofing). It is equipped with modern amenities: large screen HD TV, DVD player, FREE Wifi, full central heating and hot water, thermostatic radiators in all rooms, modern bathroom fittings and facilities, dishwasher, washing machine, double oven cooker, and halogen hob, microwave cooker, etc. There is also an included private, off-street, reserved parking space in the car-park directly behind the house, invaluable at busy times. The reserved space has marker posts to ensure that the whole space is available: length: 5.5m (18ft), width (9ft 10in), with lots of space to open doors; large enough for practically all cars. Of course Pier View also has a great view of Clevedon’s beautiful Victorian Pier, the UK’s only Grade 1 listed Pier, now complete with its new (2016) Heritage Centre and Museum. The apartment is a 2 minute walk from The Beach and the Pier.
Great coastal walks both north and south are accessible straight from the front door. Clevedon's original 'Beach' area has lovely Victorian buildings, beautiful coves, the Marine Lake and the UK’s only Grade1 listed Pier and recently refurbished with cafe and museum, about 200m from Pier View. It has excellent and varied set of cafes and restaurants all accessible nearby within a short walk. The newer centre of Clevedon, near the M5, has Asda, Aldi, Lidl, and a large Tesco supermarket with petrol station. Nearby Bristol, with its fantastic attractions: the ‘Floating Harbour’ with its iconic ferries, Isambard Brunel’s “SS Great Britain”, the Bristol Science Museum, Aquarium and Bristol Zoo Gardens.
  • Great host, nice and clean, lovely sea view, would highly recommend.

  • The location of the flat is up & then downhill from number 37 Victoria Rd! Do read & follow Ben & Rebecca’s suggested route! The sea view is via side pane of large of bay window & easy side-walks & fab cafes are only 2-5 mins walk. The apt is spotlessly clean with fresh decor & is very well equipped throughout. All rooms are relatively large, comfortable, very well heated, lit & appointed. Ben & Rebecca were very helpful through my booking process & have provided an excellent Handbook & lots of information about Clevedon & a wide area around.

Burnby Cottage is a quirky wooden framed, tin clad cottage, sitting on the banks of a stream. Although small it feels much bigger with a fully equipped kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. It can sleep 4 people with the use of the sofa bed. It features a wood burning stove, (don't worry it also has central heating), a gorgeous mural across one wall, a verandah for sitting and watching the world go by...oh and it also has full WiFi, smart TV and sound system if this all sounds a little rustic.
Although small it has a beautifully spacious feel with the verandah making it feel even bigger. The entire back wall is covered by a mural of trees painted by a local artist. Enjoy cosy winter evenings by the wood burning stove or sunny summer ones swinging in the hammock on the verandah. For the more technologically minded the cottage has full wifi, a smart tv and bluetooth soundbar. One thing to bear in mind is there is no mobile signal in the village, so if you want to get away from the rat race then you won't be disturbed :) The cottage was built by ourselves from reclaimed timber, everything from the pine cladding to the nifty mobile charging point was built by hand. We have had a lot of fun sourcing vintage and retro items from far and wide, the bedroom curtains were found in a street market in Madrid. The woodburner was made by a little company in Caerphilly. We built the cottage in our own garden with our own hands and loved doing it, not everything is perfectly made but we have tried our very best to make Burnby Cottage a very special place to stay.
Situated in the village with walking, riding, cycling, caving, climbing, fishing all within 5 to ten minutes. Walk from the cottage through the woods to Blagdon Lake. For the more adventurous Burrington Combe in the Mendip Hills with it's caves and climbing are only ten minutes drive. Or you might like to cycle through the lanes to Sandford and explore the Strawberry Line which will take you through stunning countryside all the way into Cheddar. We are close to Bristol, Bath and the lovely cathedral city of Wells. The village is very quiet but there are numerous pubs within a 5 minute drive. If you want some excitement you may be able to persuade Charlie to take you caving in the Mendip Hills or if shopping is your thing then Helen runs a vintage and retro stall at the Cheddar car boot sale.
  • Simple bedroom and sitting room accommodation next to the hosts' house. The entry is via a keypad so there is no need to arrange to meet the hosts although their communication was prompt. The bed was comfortable and all amenities worked well. The whole place was spotless. Overall it was perfect for our needs.

  • Such a great, cosy place to stay! Perfect for watching a movie and sitting by the log burner, also great surroundings and walks you can do. Everything inside was very high quality and clearly well built and cared for. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wishing to get away for some peace and quiet!

  • Excellent little gem of a hideaway! Quirky, cosy and with everything you need with great little personal touches. Highly recommend Charlie and Helen as hosts!

  • Charlie and Helen are great hosts who make you instantly feel welcome , explain how everything works, then leave you to enjoy ( even though they are next door, you are given your privacy). The cabin is beautifully made and thoughtfully appointed with just the right balance of pretty arty bits and clever tech. The heating and shower are fab( vital on a freezing , wet February evening) ,the little wood burner is a sinch to light and the big TV cleverly placed on the wall makes for a perfect wind down after a day exploring the sights. We sat on the veranda and watched the sunset with a glass ( wishing it was summer !) You can easily cook meals in the kitchen area or just enjoy a welcome cuppa with the thoughtfully provided supplies. The bedroom is beautiful and comfortable, as is the sofa bed. We enjoyed the local pub in Blagdon ,the New Inn ,that does home cooked food and allows dogs. Dont forget the stream ! It sent me to sleep each night. The best place I have booked so far !! Love it.

  • Such a beautiful cottage! I can't recommend it enough. The attention to detail and finishing touches made it feel like a home away from home. It's quirky and cute with everything you could need and more! A beautiful base for us for the evening and we only wish we had stayed longer.

  • We stayed for a valentine’s treat and took the dogs with us too. It was a beautiful little cottage with lots of character and you can tell it’s well looked after and loved. The owner seemed very proud and rightly so and she was very welcoming when we arrived. Nice facilities so we could enjoy our food and drink in. Lovely powerful shower and nice little touches like the fresh towels and quirky decor. We’d definitely stay here again. 1 thing for people to know it is right next to someone’s house, not everyone’s cup of tea but not a problem for us and felt like a private, enjoyable getaway! Thanks Charlie & Helen

  • Heather was an outstanding host for this wonderful accommodation, providing a wealth of information and comfort where possible - she ensured we had the best stay possible. The rooms were very spacious with all the right amenities required. The views were wonderful and can be enjoyed from anywhere in the apartment. We ate at a nearby restaurant (Posh Spice) one night which was delicious, and breakfast snacks provided by the hosts were appreciated too. I would definitely stay here again.

  • My husbands stay was a brief one, as was working late in the area and needed to leave early next morning. His arrival was welcomed warmly and the accommodation sparkling clean with everything he needed. The view from the window was stunning too! Will book again :)

  • Heather was the loveliest host. She altered the check in times as we had a flight coming in late . The room was beautiful with the most stunning view through the French doors. Such kindness having bought milk, fresh juice and pastries for us as we wouldn’t have had the time to get anything ourselves! Absolutely wonderful host and location. Thank you so much Heather! We will most certainly be returning!

  • This is a fabulous place in a stunning location. Views from all the huge windows over the fields and hills to the horizon. Spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished and decorated. On the outskirts of Bristol but close enough to travel there in 20 minutes or less. Heather welcomed us and showed us where everything was and how everything worked. The studio is fully equipped with everything you'd need for a short stay. Heather had left us pastries, milk, orange juice, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. This is a really delightful Airbnb...you should leave feeling relaxed and refreshed
