  • We loved this cozy cabin! We stopped in for one night to hit the hot springs and we had the best time. The cabin was cozy, had a very effective heater, warm beds and mini fridge and microwave. Wr felt so at home. The staff was so friendly and nice, and gave us all the info we needed on getting to the hot springs. We were given lots of towels, shampoo and conditioner and soap, and access to a very clean and convenient bathroom just outside the cabin. I would highly recommend this spot!

  • Wonderful place to stay near crater lake and in the middle of the Umpqua National forest. Great accommodations in an unbelievably beautiful location. Couldn’t have asked for anything better!

  • If you are considering whether or not to book: you should!! The cabin was perfect and the host was so accommodating and gave us a different route to the cabin as some roads were closed. Great location for hot springs and the heat worked great in the January cold. Also the bed was REALLY comfortable and we loved that we had our own little front porch

  • Awesome location and great place to stay. I loved it and would definitely come back!!

    Madi2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • The location was beautiful, just inside of the umpqua forest and within driving distance to numerous waterfalls and hiking spots. Keith and Dustin were incredibly friendly and helpful and the cleaning staff was as well!! we stayed with some friends for 5 days and got to check out several of their different camping spots, if you have the opportunity to- stay in the glamping tent!!! it's spacious and cozy and is facing the forest making it feel secluded.

  • Cozy spot at in a great location! Pet friendly rooms (I don't have allergies and slept well. However, I picked up on some scents and think it could be cumbersome to someone with pet allergies).

  • Great getaway spot! Such a cozy cabin, spacious, close to the hot springs & many waterfalls! They provide you a lot of information on where to go & what to do which was extremely helpful. Waking up to the sound of the river with a warm cup of coffee on the porch was amazing, thank you Dustin!

  • Great, easy spot in a beautiful setting. We went in the off season so we largely had the whole grounds to ourselves. It's a simple set up but a great, more comfortable alternative to tent camping. Very close to Umpqua Hot Springs!

    Andrea2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay in this cozy little cabin. We had everything we needed and there are so many outdoor activities close by. Pro tip: prepare your meals in advance unless you are willing to drive quite a distance to get to any restaurants. Other than that, we had a blast!!

  • Great friendly spot, would recommend to anyone!

    Henry2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is the perfect cozy place to rest your head and relax if you're wanting to spend some time in the Umpqua Forest and are not looking to camp. The cabin and the bathrooms just across the way were all very clean and welcoming.

    Ariel2020-02-21T00:00:00Z

The private Ranch "Bunkhouse" sits on a meadow near the horse paddocks & barn w/ views of valley, mountains, & access to gorgeous woodsy hiking trails. The "Bunkhouse" retains the rustic charm of the original Bunkhouse but inside it enjoys new country comfort style & amenities! It's an up-dated large (20X40) open studio/bedroom w/ kitchenette & private bath (clawfoot shower/tub). A king-sized bed & extra twin canopy bed if you have a 3rd traveling with you all in one room. Also, TV and WiFi
The ranch is located 2 1/2 miles (west) outside of the little town of Prospect, near the Rogue River, Lost Creek Lake, and a couple of miles from the beautiful Barr Creek, Mill Creek and Pearsony Falls, and 28 miles to the Crater Lake National Park south entrance. It's on the beautiful scenic side of Crater Lake National Park along the Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway. The Bunkhouse is a tranquil and comfy retreat after a day of Southern Oregon recreation. Perfect for solos, couples or with a plus one. Also on the ranch is the horse barn, owner's home, a vacation rental house, and out-buildings, 2 large ponds, and loads of trails (100 acres plus) to explore and wildlife to view.
No neighbors in view. You'll have a private cabin but be sharing the property with us, the horses, one dog, deer, elk, foxes, owls, ducks, geese, and one other guest vacation rental nearby (behind the BunkHouse). The nearby small town of Prospect has a Pizza Parlor, gas station, post office, library, historic Hotel, Prospect Cafe (temporarily closed) and small country market -Prospect Market, and Gorge Cafe. Prospect also boasts three beautiful waterfalls. It's known for wilderness hiking and fishing in the Rogue River. Lost Creek Lake is 10 minutes west. Up the Highway, about 12 miles, is Beckies Cafe (good country cooking and local berry pies). It's the perfect stop for breakfast, lunch, or dinner on the way and way back from the Crater Lake National Park.
  • Perfect spot for my mom and I to spend a few nights and to visit Crater Lake. We will probably be back! Highly recommended

  • Barbara was an outstanding host! We thoroughly enjoyed staying on her ranch and in the beautiful little bunk house! It was peaceful and extremely comfortable with everything you can think of to make your stay enjoyable. I would highly recommend staying here!

    Penny2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara’s place was great! It had all the amenities we were looking for (stove, microwave, mini fridge, wifi, cable). Very spacious. Only an hour’s drive away from Crater Lake!

    Julia Jasmine2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely quiet spot that is close to many outdoor adventures including hiking, waterfalls, snow shoeing and of course Crater Lake. The Bunkhouse is well set up and quite beautiful to come back after a long day of exploring. We would highly recommend it!

    judah2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara’s place is spotless. The bunkhouse is a large cabin with a nice bathroom and one big room (living room, kitchen, bedroom). You can often see deer strolling through early or late in the evening and they also have a couple of walking trails. We took advantage of the location to look at half a dozen falls nearby. Thank you!

Lone Wolf Cabin is situated on a gated road in a forest setting. It is the only residence on the road. It is about 2 miles from both Oakridge and Westfir which makes it convenient for mountain bike riding, hiking, golfing and dining out. There are both Forest Service Trails and game trails near the cabin. The cabin is rustic with modern conveniences. Weekly discount is $500.00
The cabin has wood siding, blue stain pine interior except the bathroom which is cedar. The floors are oak except the bathroom which is tile. The cabin has a washer and dryer and full kitchen. There is a queen size bed upstairs and futon downstairs.
There are no other structures on the road leading to the cabin or in the vicinity of the cabin yet it is about ten minutes from both Oakridge and Westfir on forested land.
  • This place is exactly as it says it is! Wonderful! We just needed to get away from society and that's what we got. Really clean, great trails nearby by and covered bridges! Looking forward to returning in summer time.

    Paul2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • A quiet, well-cared for cabin surrounded by beautiful, rugged woods.

    Stacy2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Lone Wolf cabin was a very peaceful getaway for our weekend in Oakridge. We loved how Bob took the time to add personal touches to the check in process and made sure we were settled before letting us be. The cabin is clean, conveniently located, and contains all the amenities we were seeking to unwind and unplug (including the absence of WiFi to avoid temptation!). Our hound also felt very welcomed and enjoyed her stay at the cabin as much as we did :) We hope to be back again in the future!

    Mary2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is a gem waiting for discovery. This cozy cabin in the woods was a perfect getaway destination for our birthday celebration. The trails right outside the door offered miles of forest to explore with our dog.

    Jeff2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • What a gem! Fantastic space. Our last minute decision to get out of town couldn't have resulted in a better place to land! Close enough to Oakridge for any of our needs, but hidden enough to feel away from it all. Very well maintained, clean and plenty of thoughtful touches to make this a perfect getaway. Our family can't wait to make it back here!

    Chris2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy, clean, quiet cabin with a well appointed kitchen. The surroundings are beautiful. The host is a prompt and courteous communicator and was very informative. Would stay again.

    Zoe2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place! Secluded and quiet, but a 5 minute drive to town with plenty of restaurants and a supermarket. Bob’s cabin is the perfect mix of rustic and functional (with all the amenities of a house). I would like to stay here more, and now I want a cabin like his!

    David2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a wonderful get away if you're looking to disconnect and enjoy nature. We were able to bring our two large dogs with us and they liked being able to hike through the woods and sniff things. The cabin has just about everything you need for a quiet and peaceful retreat. There's no wifi or cell reception, but there was a DVD played for movies. A wonderful place to stay!

Enjoy the snow with your family during the winter! The Norway Crescent Cabin is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom completely remodeled home in Crescent Oregon. Located 17 miles S. of La Pine off Hwy 97, it's still close to all those great Central Oregon activities, but without the high costs and loads of people. You will find the house comfortable, efficient and very reasonably priced for a great get-away. Read more for details.
We own and operate a small vacation rental business: Norway Properties LLC. We've been in the vacation rental business for 20 years, and our experience shows. All of our homes are legal, registered vacation rentals. We have 3 vacation rentals in Oregon (all on Airbnb)--the state we were both born in and still love to pieces. Our homes are all moderately sized, but packed with features, amenities and coziness. People consistently give us excellent reviews and often say our homes are the nicest Airbnb homes that they have experienced. The house has a welcoming porch, and you'll feel at home and cozy right away. The living room features sofa, love-seat and tables for game night. We have a cozy gas stove for those chilly nights. The dining room can seat 6-7 people comfortably. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas stove, full size new fridge, dishwasher and microwave. We always supply those little extras too, so your vacation is hassle free. Down the hall there are two bedrooms, and a full bathroom. Kids room is complete with a bunk-bed, and a trundle! We ensure our kids rooms keep the kids entertained, with a TV, game system and toys. The 2nd guest bedroom has a queen bed and comfy bedding for a great night's sleep. Continue to the back of the house and you'll find a larger master suite with good size full bathroom. The room features a king size bed, TV with DVD player and a slider out to a patio area. The decor and furnishings are cute, homey and good quality. We also have a laundry area, so you can clean up after a day of playing in Central Oregon. Out back, you'll find a picnic table, gas BBQ, and chairs for lounging around, just listening to the wind in the pines. We have enough parking for boats or snowmobile trailers, and even have an RV electrical hook-up--which you can use with special arrangements (and separate costs). The home is a nicely remodeled house, and we expect our guests to follow the rules, treat the space with respect and leave the house in good condition. We also have vacation rentals in Warrenton Oregon (N. Coast) Check them out!
Crescent is a very small little town, S. of La Pine. There is a gas station and a couple restaurants, and in 2018, they added a Dollar General store. If you like to fish, swim, boat, hike, snowmobile, ski, snowshoe, or do other outdoor activities, it is a fabulous area to spend time. Take advantage of our reasonable rates and make a trip to Central Oregon a reality. There are dozens of lakes and rivers within a 20-30 mile radius. Crater Lake Park (North Entrance) is only ~42 miles away and is a great day trip. The N. entrance does close during the snowy months of ~November-May, so you will need to drive to the S. entrance which is about 90 miles away during those times.
  • Monica’s AirBnB provided us with a warm, cozy, clean and well-stocked getaway as we explored the surrounding areas. Six people could easily stay here and be comfortable.

    Susanne2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay near Willamette Pass. We had fantastic days on the mountain and it was great to have somewhere warm & cozy nearby. The little red cabin exceeded my expectations for a rural area near the mountains: it was very comfortable and well appointed at a very reasonable rate. If you’re thinking of staying here, you won’t regret it.

  • Good place to kickback

    Beau2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • This little home is cozy and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals, even a crock pot! The artwork and decor added such charm. The beds are comfortable. A beautiful drive on the way there and we loved the snow. Would definitely recommend. We'll be back.

    Maria2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • We loved everything about this cabin! The cozy and thoughtful decor, the cleanliness and organization were impeccable and the location is golden! Monica was super easy to communicate with and you can tell there is pride taken in their cabin—and rightfully so! It’s in a perfect spot for any outdoor adventure and their tips about Crescent and near by excursions were super detailed and helpful! Honestly can’t say anything negative—we will be back!

    Dominique And Jacob2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Felt right at home! Great communication, everything we needed and very comfortable and safe!

  • This is a great place tucked away in the forest. The host is not intrusive. We had a great retreat here. It has everything you need to get away! The bed is comfy and the kitchen has everything. The wood burning stove is great. It is bigger on the inside!

  • There is maybe no better way to truly enjoy the beauty of the Oregon forests than falling asleep to the sounds outside while looking at the stars through the skylight of this yurt. It was an experience unlike any other we have had staying in Airbnbs.

Large private master bedroom with balcony, beautiful tile bathroom, brand new queen size bed, flat screen TV with Roku, and roomy walk in closet. The Shasta room is our largest room and is very spacious. We are very commited to delivering a top level experience to our guests!
We are fortunate to live in this beautiful location and have more house than we need. Our location makes our home one of very few places to stay this close to Crater Lake National Park. If our home doesn't fit your travel plans, we recommend the Historic Prospect Hotel.
Crater lake is the sole reason we are able to have a successful Airbnb. 99, if not 100% of our bookings are folks visiting Crater Lake, along with many other outdoor activities that go along with it.
  • We went up to stay at the Prospect Lodge for our anniversary. It was perfect. Family hospitality, very relaxing, peaceful, and hearth warm. Lisa and Mike sent us on a beautiful excursion along the Rogue River Gorge, lava tube chasms to waterfalls and bridges. We stayed in their Shasta room. The bed was extremely comfortable and you’ll sleep like a baby. I took a bath in the downstairs claw foot tub and it was divine...Lisa got the bathroom all ready, with candle light, lavender bath salts and a retro fireplace warming the room. It’s the authentic “lodge” your mind automatically paints a picture of; a warm lodge which is surrounded by open pastures on one side and trees on the other. It’s a modern log cabin with an old fashioned feel.

    Caroline2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful property and very a clean house. Mike and Lisa were super nice and very helpful. I would definitely stay there again !

    Hovik2019-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • A stunning house perfectly located for travelling up to Crater Lake. Mike and Lisa are lovely, welcoming hosts who really go the extra mile for their guests.

    Jessica2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • The Prospect Lodge is absolutely gorgeous. The Shasta Room was incredible. We loved sipping wine by the fire downstairs. Checking in was easy and Mike and Lisa are so friendly! They are great hosts! We had a wonderfully relaxing evening at the lodge and we will definitely be returning.

    Sierra2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Mike and Lisa were both awesome. Couldnt expect better for our first Airbnb experience. They also gave us good tips for places to go in the area.

    Ryan2019-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful comfortable log home, just beautiful!

    Elaine2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mike and Lisa’s place while visiting Crater Lake National Park. Their house is amazing! It was very well decorated, clean and had everything you could need. We stayed in the Shasta room which is very roomy with a comfortable bed, large bathroom and a balcony. Mike and Lisa were wonderful hosts and provided thoughtful touches including a bottle of wine and offered helpful tips about the area. We would highly recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Crater Lake National Park.

    Nancy2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • The picture of this lovely lodge is just the way it looks! It is gorgeous and rustic at the same time, just the perfect place for visiting Crater Lake. Do NOT just stay one night...it is worth the extra time as Lisa will show you all the hidden walks and hikes to go to around the lodge. She has tons of helpful information. Every room has its own charm. They will make it work for you...just communicate with them. When she offers tips or writes suggestions-read them-she is honest and helpful. You will love Prospect Lodge (and don’t miss the pie at Beckys).

Welcome to Glamping! This luxury retreat is a camping dream. This handcrafted wood and canvas tent is themed in honor of the Oregon pioneers who came here 150 years ago. Our park is next to the North Umpqua River in the Umpqua National Forest. This region of the Oregon Cascades is commonly referred to as "Oregon's Emerald-Jewel Gateway" to Crater Lake National Park. We are centrally located to the North Umpqua Trail, with easy drives to many trail-heads, waterfalls & the Umpqua Hot Springs.
All our cabins and glamping tents are complete with linens, pillows, and bath towels. Please bring a beach towel for the hot springs or river activities. This is a handcrafted wood frame and canvas tent. The wood was all harvested from our property. The heavy duty canvas is water and fire resistant. Inside: Solid wood floors with rugs, handmade King Bed with luxury linens, period furniture and LED light fittings. Coffee Maker with supplies & a drinking water dispenser. Outside: Each of our glamping tents have a park like setting with Picnic Table, fire ring, Charcoal BBQ and are located within steps from the heated park bathhouse. As a proud equal-opportunity recreation provider we thank you for your interest. The Dry Creek Store and Gas Station is adjacent to us, offering full service country store items.
  • We ended up staying here out of connivence for a styled shoot we were doing near the hot springs and as we were driving up from California it snowed only the day before! We were a bit worried about it being cold at night but we actually were so toasty with just the heated blanket! It was a very romantic and intimate stay. We had such a great tome and will definitely be back!

    Samantha2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • The hosts are very friendly and welcoming that it made me felt safe and comfortable when staying there. The location is great for someone looking for a camping vibe near a mountaintop. It’s so beautiful. Highly recommended if no internet is not going to be a big deal for you.

    Nazeem2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place! You will not regret staying here. At first I was skeptical staying in a tent in the middle of February because of how cold the nights get, but we were very warm with the heated bed alone. This place is so peaceful and helped us recharge I suggest visiting the hot springs. Plus everyone was so welcoming and friendly. We will be coming back.

    Joanna2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lodging on the way to Crater Lake. The road was so long that I went through a cut of luxury glamping. Much better than expected. 1. I visited in winter, but there were two electric mats and two warmers, so I could sleep well. 2. You will never forget the stars and shooting stars that pour into the night sky. 3. The public restroom is about 30m away, but the shower is clean. 4. Pay $ 6 for a modal fire. 5. Crater Lake is approximately 1 hour 40 minutes north of the road. However, this place is a place you will not forget. 6. The staff are also very kind and pleasant. Koreans, please try by all means ^^

    Chanjong2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Wasn't sure what to expect as this was my first glamping outing. But this place exceeded all expectations. Very neat and clean place and everyone we spoke to was helpful and friendly. Will definitely be telling friends about this place. Can't want to return.

    Tad2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The tent is beautifully equipped and super private and romantic. The space heaters worked really well and we were warm the entire time. The heated king size bed is a very nice touch an the mattress and linens were really comfortable. Bathroom is clean and has a space heAter too. The only thing to keep in mind is that despite the glamour it still is camping and you will have to rent the propane grill to cook, might wAnt to also bring a camp stove, cooler for food, dish washing stuff, and dinnerware/silverware (the ones we were provided were disposable). Lovely towels and basic toiletries were provided. All around a great experience, great location, and would highly recommend this place!

    Vilija2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • The only regret is booking this tent for only a night, but it was an amazing experience. Besides looking cozy and at a great location for near by hot springs and water falls, the glam tent is HEATED, even the bed has a heated blanket, so we did not get cold at all, and yes there was snow outside. The hosts were great and answered any questions we had. Definitely will be coming back. Recommend booking more than a night here.

    Tatyana2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in the pioneer tent and it was absolutely amazing! So cute and cozy with a heated bed and all the heaters we needed to stay warm in the middle of January. Bathrooms and showers are separate but clean and have hot water! The staff is so nice and helpful with anything you need. Be sure to check out the local waterfalls and hot springs, you won’t regret it! LOVE LOVE LOVE this place.

  • She and her husband are super hosts for a reason. This was my first airBnB that I established for me and my partner. Sandy was very friendly and accommodating. She responded very quickly to my concerns and did the best she could to meet them. Her personality made our experience to the hot springs like we were at home. She was warm, inviting, and understanding. The place was clean and stylish and exceeded our expectations. We felt safe and comfortable and will rebook with them in the future.

    Steven2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Sandy was very nice and welcoming. Such a beautiful property, we stayed for one night only and wished we had stayed longer to enjoy the wonderful space. Morning coffee by the river was definitely a highlight for us.

  • Try to arrive in the daytime as it is such a pretty spot that you’ll want to hang out longer than expected. We loved being on the banks of river/stream; it’s a beautiful location. Though we didn’t get a chance to meet Sandy in person we felt well cared for as her guests.

  • So cozy!! Loved the space and the outdoor area! We slept very well and visited wildlife safari during our time. Highly recommend

    Lacey2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was very clean when we arrived and the heating system was a blessing! There was also wood by the fireplace, so we could have done that too. We didn’t end up using them, but we appreciated the array of appliances at our disposal, from oven to toaster oven, if we had made food we would have been set UP. We also found and appreciated the variety of teas. In the morning when we woke up, a thin blanket of snow had fallen on everything outside and was touched by the morning light streaming through those trees. Oh, it was breathtaking.

  • Leave civilization behind and unwind at The Tiny House - though there are still modern things like tv and internet, you will find that the waterfalls, lakes, trails and the North Umpqua will draw you out and about. The Tiny House is a perfect landing spot - just make sure to pack a few items to eat, as there are no close restaurants that are open on a regular basis! The kitchen is equipped with full size fridge, microwave and stovetop - there’s also a bbq. This is a place to return to!

  • I would highly recommend this adorable Tiny House !!! I booked it for the weekend with my parents to explore Crater Lake and we had such a wonderful time! The house is cozy and adorable with everything you need in the kitchen. We asked for a wine glass one evening and the next day we were delivered 4 new sparkling wine glasses! The hospitality was just one of the amazing touches of this experience. The location is near the river, so it's very peaceful. Easy to find and near lots of out door adventuring. We stayed in the winter but would love to return in the summer for more hiking and exploration. Definitely hope to return again! Thank you again for such a great weekend!!

The family created Grampie’s Cabin on 2 acres in Central Oregon, just a few miles from Crescent Lake and a short distance from Willamette Pass Ski Resort. My children and grandchildren use Grampie’s Cabin as their base for summer and winter fun. This is a rustic cabin, not a hotel in Manhattan.
3 Bedroom w/ two Queen beds / 2 twin beds and 1 bathroom Sleeps 6 Fully equipped Kitchen is included to make your family meals Satellite dish tv ( in master bedroom only ), games, Legos, Lincoln Logs, puzzles & playing cards are available No Wifi, but some reception may be available on your cellphone The open floor plan creates an environment where you can enjoy each other's company Activities by Season Spring to Fall - My SO and I fish nearly every morning on Odell Lake. We catch and release fish from the time the snow melts to when it starts falling again. Crater Lake National Park, at its depth of 1,943 feet (592 meters) makes it the deepest lake in the United States, and the ninth deepest in the world. The park is open year-round, 24 hours a day. But many of the park's roads, trails, and facilities are closed seasonally due to snow. The Pacific Crest Trail passes within 20 miles of the cabin and is easily accessed by National Forest Service roads. Summer - My daughter, granddaughter and friends ride horses and quads in the National Forest lands surrounding the cabin. They ride from the cabin to Crescent Lake (14 miles north) and to the town of Chemult (12 miles south). ATV trails are clearly marked. Though there are not specific horse riding trails, she has found respectful ATV riders in the rare times they cross paths. After a 20-minute car ride, a person can be sitting on the shore of Crescent Lake, either getting the fishing pole ready or jumping in for a swim. The grandkids love to take the dogs in the lake. Five miles up the road from Crescent Lake is Odell Lake that contains Mackinaw (lake trout), Kokanee (land locked salmon) and rainbow trout. Odell Lake holds the state record for the largest Mackinaw shattering the 40lb. threshold in 1984. Other fun activities in the area include hiking, biking, frisbee golf, boating, canoeing, jet skiing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Winter - My son and grandson snowboard in the winter at Willamette Pass Ski Resort (30-minute drive) and Bachelor Ski Resort (1-hour drive). Additionally, the same trails used for quads in the summer are available for winter snowmobiling, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. Sites nearby Willamette Pass Ski Resort (30-minute drive) Bachelor Ski Resort (1-hour drive) Crater Lake (1 hour south) Crescent Lake (14 miles north) Lava fields (50 minutes) High Desert Museum (50 minutes) Towns Chemult (12 miles south) LaPine (40 minutes northeast) Bend (70 minutes northeast) Restaurants Manley’s Tavern (13 miles north) – Excellent broasted chicken Mohawk Restaurant (20 minutes) – Unique experience with hearty food Crescent Lake Lodge (25 minutes) – Got to try the Sunday Brunch Odell Lake Lodge (30 minutes) – You won’t go wrong ordering the Fish and Chips w/ Mud Pie for dessert

  • What a great place to stay! I recommend it to anyone. It was perfect for our two grandchildren, ages 4 and 2 as well.

  • We stayed in Grampie's Cabin for a weekend to attend an event in Fort Rock State Park. We loved the cabin so much, we wish we could have stayed longer! It's super clean with all the amenities you could need. The cabin itself is clearly a special place for Liz and her family, and the love and attention to detail within the house make it feel like a home. It's located in a beautiful area, peaceful and quiet surrounded by forest and numerous easily-accessible trails that we loved walking with our dogs in the mornings. The check-in and check-out were very easy, and Liz was quick and friendly with communication. Not only did she leave us some delicious blueberry muffins, Liz has put together a thorough guide to the home and things to do in the surrounding area. If you want to explore this area of Oregon, Grampie's Cabin is a great place to stay!

    Katie2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • The quintessential cabin in the woods! My family enjoyed the ability to unplug, stretch out and relax at this cabin. Liz is an excellent host, who gives you a special treat and has great communication. There is no tv in the main living area, which I liked. Bing your own green propane can if you want to use the grill. We used this as base for day trips to Crater Lake National Park. All of our needs were met and we would return!

    Christie2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet, Relaxing and an amazing location for fishers and OHV. Our family loves it there. Miller Lake and Crescent Lake we’re beautiful. We took a little hike around the house. Enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. Lots of family love there. We really enjoyed our time!!

We have a few dates that are becoming available from guests that are unable to travel to Oregon. Booking for AUG/SEP/OCT/NOV is Sunday, June 7th at 9 a.m. Pacific Daylight Saving Time. We usually have more available spaces late season. Sign up for our Booking Notification/Cancellation List by emailing summitprairie at the email of the world's most popular search engine (starts with a G). Our 2020 season runs Apr 2 - Nov 16. And please - please! - read the "Tips for Getting a Booking"!
Our prices will remain the same as they have for the last 4 seasons. However, we will be moving to a 4 NIGHT MINIMUM - check in Thursday, check out Monday and a 3 NIGHT MINIMUM - check in Monday, check out Thursday. Check in/check out days will be Mondays and Thursdays only and we will not have any 2 or 1 night stays. We can only take about 60 reservations per year and there will be hundreds of guests trying to get a booking when we open the calendar. We allow our previous guests priority booking each year and they usually book about the half the season and almost all of the weekends prior to opening our calendar to the general public. You can Like the Summit Prairie on that site where you Like things, follow us on Insta or visit the summitprairie website for the latest updates. TIPS FOR GETTING A BOOKING 1. Make sure your Airbnb profile is filled out completely including a clear photograph of yourself, your government ID, what city you are from and a little bit about yourself. Our intention is not to discriminate against anyone but when we see an incomplete profile we feel like a guest is trying to hide something. We've had guests that were able to secure dates only to lose them before confirmation because they didn't have their profile completed. That is an Airbnb requirement, we're not in control of that. 2. Have all of your credit card information completed on your profile. Booking will happen very quickly and you will not have time to add credit card information when the calendar opens. 3. Early season 2020 (April through July) is completely booked but late season (August through November) booking will be June 7th, 2020 at 9 a.m. Pacific Daylight Saving Time - we usually have more available dates in late season because we have fewer large events pre-booked here. We will book our 4 night stays (Thursday through Monday) at 9:00 a.m. and our 3 night stays (Monday through Thursday) at 9:30 a.m. Check back here for updates or visit the summitprairie website and sign-up for our Booking Notification List. 4. Refresh your browser frequently. The entire booking window will last less than 10 minutes. Don't worry about sending us a message when you send us your booking request - someone else will grab the dates while you're typing your message! After the calendar appears full, continue to check back every few minutes during the first hour - guests frequently get overly excited when booking and dates that appear to have been booked end up opening up again. We will announce on the site when all dates are filled and booking is completed. 5. Be flexible on your dates. Most of the weekend dates and summer mid-week will already have been booked by our previous guests so most of the dates available will be early season (April/May) or late season (October/November). 6. Once you book your dates, you won't be able to change them as we will be completely booked for the season. You also will not be able to change the number of nights but you can cancel your reservation and if we're able to rebook the dates, we will give you a 90% refund (this is less strict than the Airbnb strict cancellation policy of 50% refund up to 2 weeks prior to arrival and no refund 1 week prior to arrival). 7. If you're unable to get a booking, visit the summitprairie website and click on Booking Information. Or send an email to summitprairie at the email of the world's most popular search engine (starts with a G) and we'll add you to our Cancellation Notification List. We usually get 5 to 6 cancellations during the season and the sooner you get on the list, the more chances you will get to book. 8. Finally, we do know that it is a complete hassle to book with us so we are extremely appreciative of you guys that stick with us through this process!! Thanks and we look forward to seeing you someday at the Summit Prairie! ---------------------------------------------------- Missing peace and quiet? Wishing for space to relax and renew? Here is your chance! Off the grid, atop a 40-acre meadow on 160 acres of private land. Surrounded by the Umpqua National Forest in Douglas County, Oregon. Welcome to Summit Prairie! Hear the wind give voice to the trees at the edge of the meadow. Listen to the birds calling in the valley below. Let the peace you feel here…. stay with you. Your hosts, Alan and Dabney, will welcome you, help carry your things up the four flights of stairs, and orient you to all the wonders of this place, then leave you in peace so you can enjoy. Built in Two Thousand Nine, the lookout tower is modeled after Fire Lookout Towers built by the US Forest Service in the early Nineteen Hundreds. However, it's enhanced with modern essentials: a full kitchen featuring hot and cold running water, propane stove, refrigerator, heater and lamps, exterior shower, comfortable beds in the cupola and main floor with windows all around to let in summer breezes and breath-taking views. And while simply chilling at Summit Prairie is oh-so-fine, think of this place also as a launch point for day trips to Crater Lake (2 hours), or Ashland, site of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (1.5 hours), or historic Jacksonville, site of the annual Britt Festival (1.5 hours), Rogue River Rafting (45 minutes), the South Umpqua Falls (45 minutes) or the Seven Feathers Casino in Canyonville (1 hour). Imagine! Kick back and relax, read a book, play a game (or three)… write in a journal, meditate… daydream in the hammocks down the hill… soak your cares away and relax in a secluded wood-fired, spring-fed hot tub… Even dance under the moon or sing to the stars. Memories are made here. Come to Summit Prairie...
Enjoy 160 acres of pure, private bliss. Surrounded by the Umpqua National Forest, you'll awaken each morning only to the sound of birds calling in the trees or bees humming about their business in the meadow. In the evening be amazed at the sunsets, and then as the dusk settles into darkness, exhaust your ability to count all the stars that light up the sky.
  • I’ve been delaying this much needed review simply because I’m so overwhelmed by the place and don’t even know where to begin. No review will do Dabney and Alan’s place justice. It’s just impossible. Every part of staying here was remarkable. Getting to the summit is an adventure (and part of the fun) and so long as you follow instructions, it should be pretty easy. Once you arrive, the view will blow you away. Nothing can prepare you for the absolute beauty, peace, and quiet that this space offers. It is everything we wanted and then some. Dabney and Alan are among the best hosts anyone could ask for. Kind, generous, professional... they are without a doubt 100% of the summit experience and I only wish we could’ve spent some more time with them. Thank you to both gentlemen for letting my girlfriend and I stay here. Summit Prairie will forever be embedded in our memories as a spectacular experience.

    Emil2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • I 100% recommend Alan and Dabneys place! Everything was well thought out, including directions, recommendations for activities, and the initial walk through. I won't forget driving up and seeing Dabney wave from the top of the look out. Its an iconic scene. We never had any questions because they were very thorough. There was literally nothing more we could have asked for. As long as you bring enough food, and it's well planned, you'll be fine. I also recommend spending a full day in the cabin, to get the full effect. We happened to catch some poor weather, with only a few moments to catch the gorgeous view but we made the most of eerie fog and rain. Having no inclination to leave the look out due to weather, it was quite possibly the most relaxing trip we've ever taken. Staying in the look out for 2 days, there was plenty to keep us entertained. My only regret is not signing the guest book. Thank you so much Dabney!

    Danyel2019-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • Summit Prairie is amazing! When you drive up to the tower and see it for the first time it is breathtaking! Dabney was waiting for us at the top of the tower with a friendly wave to walk us through our stay and answer any questions we might have. They had everything we needed for a long weekend stay, and great local tips on things to see as well! Cannot reccomend it enough.

  • Connie’s cabin was the perfect place for our short weekend getaway! The location was great for our purpose to hike the beautiful waterfalls of the Umpqua River. The cabin was clean, comfortable and reasonably priced! We really liked the little touches like the brochures on the area, the nice soaps in the bathroom, the drinking water (since the sink water was not potable), the drinks in the fridge, and the heater had been turned on so the cabin was warm & cozy upon our arrival. We sat for an hour down by the river in the chairs and enjoyed the peace & quiet of this beautiful property! Connie was helpful with dining advice and unfortunately couldn’t be there when we arrived yet she had personally called to answer any of our questions. She was super sweet & thoughtful and we wished we could have met her in person. We would recommend staying here and hope to visit again sometime soon!

    Leslie2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Connie and Richard were very friendly and hospitable. Great value!

    Wesley2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I went on a super last minute getaway, and Connie and Rick were more than accommodating even with the short notice. The property is absolutely gorgeous, and the cabin is beautiful and comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again!

    Maggie2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Connies place was very cute and stylish. Private and serene. You pull in and there’s a parking spot for you labeled with a nice lighted path (we came late) all the way to the cabin. Cabin was clean and perfect. Towels, water, tips were all provided. The bed was too hard for my taste so my back hurt the next day but if you like hard beds, this spots for you =) Very great stay, would stay again.

    Court2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • It was a great location.

    Wayne2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Connie and Rick's little cabin by the Umpqua River is a little piece of heaven. The cabin is cute and comfortable, but best of all, Connie and Rick are the most wonderful hosts! The cabin is not fancy, but it is certainly adequate. The bed was comfy, everything worked as expected, and we had everything we needed. It is exactly as pictured on the Airbnb website. We could hear the river running--so peaceful, and the cabin heats up nicely on a cool, rainy night. We hit it off immediately, and after a bit of downtime, they lit a fire down by the river, and we shared some wine and fun, friendly conversation. This was our last night of our drive down the Oregon Coast, and as other reviewers who had had a similar experience, it was also our best because the hosts are so personable and so welcoming! We shared a MN/WI connection with them, and if we lived closer, I know we'd be friends! Thank you so much for a very memorable experience, Connie and Rick! Dave and Lynne

    Lynne2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic place close to nature with very friendly and welcoming hosts. We shared a fantastic evening around a firepit watching the sun set over the river as deer frolicked around us. Our hosts joined us for a glass of wine and it was nice to swap stories and share good company. I wish we could have stayed longer. In fact, it was hard to leave.

There is a store next to camping ground carrying hot beverage and food. It’s open Tuesday to Sunday, 8-6. The trailer has a private bathroom. Staffs are shockingly friendly and helpful. They are best staffs ever. They responds quickly and communicates easily. There are different choices like cabins, tents, or trailers in the camping ground. The public bathroom is clean. I would love to try other rooms next time. Suggestions: There are two rooms in this trailer. During the winter, if you feel cold at night, you can get more blankets from another room. If you are sensitive person and very picky about the noises during the sleep. Trailer is probably not your best choice. The camping ground is very quite and safe though. You still can check cabins or tents. I love Umpqua so much. It’s actually my favorite place in Oregon so far. This place is also the best place. Would definitely love to come back again to stay a few nights next time. Thanks for hosting us. Wish to see you next time.

  • good place to stay. the room is much better than I expected

  • My husband and I stayed for four nights. The RV has everything you need and more to make your stay comfortable. Local store next door is very nice with pretty much everything you need. The staff was amazing and very friendly. We loved every minute of our trip! Hiking is very accessible and there are tons of trails to choose from. One of our favorites was Lemolo Falls and the hot springs for sure! We liked it so much we went back twice!

    Isabel2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time in Umpqua. The RV is great and very cozy, plenty of space for a family of four (Although we were only 3) About 45 minute drive to Crater Lake and very close to some beautiful waterfalls and hot springs. Dustin and Toby were very helpful!

    Will2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • This was the first RV Airbnb that we had ever stayed in (and we have stayed in many Airbnbs over the years) and we would definitely be back. Dustin's rental was perfect for our needs. I was worried about the space feeling too small and it not being warm enough for us but the space felt much bigger than I expected and the heaters worked well so we were comfortable the entire time. The campground is a great area to stay to be near tons of hiking trails in the National Forest as well as a short drive away from Crater Lake. 10/10 would highly recommend this rental

    Kaylin2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • This place was situated in perfect spot on our drive through the forest. It was clean, comfortable and warm on a chilly night in the woods. A nice selection of hot drinks was provided along with videos to pass the time after a long day traveling around. Just wish we'd spotted the popcorn our hosts left for us! We recommend it for those just spending a night or a few nights while exploring the nearby trails , waterfalls and hot springs.

Its a private space with its own entrance. Comfortable and homey. We are 10 minutes from Crescent lake and 15 from odell lake. 20 minutes from ski lodge and snowmobile from the property. We have parking for snowmobiles, atvs and boats. In the spring and summer will have use of bbq grill and fire pit.
  • Quaint, comfy place. Donna even helped us shovel the snow so we could get out of the driveway (we were unprepared for snow haha). Would stay there again :)

  • Great spot! Nothing fancy but exactly it was exactly what I needed. Wifi was good in an area with no service. Manleys, the restaurant down the street, has great food!

    Corey2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfect place to stay to get 2 days of skiing without all the driving. We brought everything we needed for a quick dinner and breakfast. It was very comfortable and easy place to have our dog too.

  • Great location, very clean and comfortable. We greatly enjoyed our stay!

    Magen2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Donna was friendly, thoughtful and her place was very nice. Due to what I believe was an AirBnB glitch, we were given incorrect directions to a place out in Christmas Valley. This was not Donna’s fault, but if you get directions to Christmas Valley, don’t go there! Again, I don’t think this was Donna’s fault, but it’s something to be careful about.

    Mason2020-01-01T00:00:00Z

  • This cabin is absolutely lovely! Waking up to the view of the serene lake was wonderful. We arrived later than expected and they had a warm and cozy space all ready for us after a long day of hiking. We really appreciated the rustic vibe with the wooden bed frame and quilts and soft linens. A very peaceful place.

Welcome to Hills Creek Hideaway; more than just a place to stay, this is a vacation spot that has it all. Enjoy your own private space with views of water, mountains, and forest. Close to a multitude of activities, our newly remodeled modern house is the perfect place to relax, explore, and hide away. Close to trails, town, and water! Avoid the mosquito swarms you'd find at Odell Lake or Crescent Lake, at our lower elevation lake front getaway. Dog friendly! #oakridgeescapes on instagram
Nestled in the Willamette Forest, and close to many trails, our house is perched just above the Hills Creek Reservoir only a few miles outside of Oakridge. Private, quiet, clean, and with everything you need for a remarkable vacation, we know you’ll love your stay at Hills Creek Hideaway. There is so much to do in the area, no matter the season, and our place is the perfect home base for exploring while you: mountain bike, fish, ski or snowboard, swim, hike, or boat. In warm weather you’ll enjoy playing lawn games on the expansive lawn, grilling on the patio, or swimming in the reservoir (or one of Oakridge’s many wonderful swimming holes). Bring your boat as there’s parking for it and a boat launch a half mile down the road. In colder weather, you’ll enjoy warming up by the propane fire, while watching the dramatic fog and clouds sweep over the mountains and across the reservoir. We have many recommendations on places to explore in the area, but have made sure to make your space cozy if you’re looking to just stay put too. You will have the whole open, light-filled downstairs, as a private unit, with your own entrance, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. New hardwood floors, new appliances (and air conditioning), quality household items, a new memory foam bed (and pillows!) you’ll feel like you won’t want to leave our slice of paradise. We want you to enjoy your time at Hills Creek Hideaway as much as we do. Your friendly, well-behaved dog is welcome to join you on vacation. We will send a request for an “extra service fee” for $25 close to your arrival date. Failure to claim/pay for dogs will result in a $100 security deposit forfeiture. All dogs must be socialized and non-aggressive towards humans and other dogs alike, and may not be left unattended in the house. The top floor of the house is our separate unit. We will sleep off-site when we have guests, but might visit the property during the day for supplies/showers/or to help answer questions. While you might hear us (and our dogs) moving around, we’ll keep the dance parties for when you’re not there. We are always available by phone call or text. We are happy to make your stay comfortable should you need anything prior to, or during, your stay. Also Provided: -Sharp knives (something we notice when we travel) -Coffee, tea, snack items, and basic spices -Trail books to use and maps to plan adventures -Gas grill to bbq -Lawn games -Carpet free unit -Gas fireplace #oakridgeescapes on instagram website: https://oakridgeescapes.com
The nearest neighbors are a 1/4 down the road, and there are only a few properties on the reservoir. Peace, quiet, and nature are what makes this a wonderful "neighborhood."
  • This AirBnB is in a mountain setting that is majestic with a glorious view. Quiet, private, and for a city girl like me, very secluded. The place is immaculately clean, very comfortable, & close to the small town of Oakridge (about 4 miles down the mountain). We were there in late Fall to visit family, but would like to visit again in spring or summer for outdoor activities. The only drawback is no wifi. A big plus, however, is the dark night sky full of stars. Truly splendid!

    Stephanie2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great weekend, what a beautiful place!

    Mackenzie2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a fantastic time during our getaway! The place was fantastic with amazing views. The cabin is super private with a giant lawn out front, with views of Diamond Peak and Hills Creek Reservoir. Oakridge was such a cute town; we accidentally stumbled upon Deep Woods Distillery (which we read about in the cabin), and absolutely loved the experience. The adventures within reach from the hideaway were fantastic. We visited Salt Creek Falls and McGredie Hot Springs, only about 20 minutes east! The place is perfectly decorated with awesome personal touches and local attributes. We found every amenity we needed, and then some!

    Ian2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place for some much needed peace and quiet! Huge thank you to our hosts for creating such a beautiful home and sharing the amazing view

    Rebecca2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Hills Creek Hideaway is BY FAR my favorite Airbnb experience to date. I can't state clearly enough how clean and beautiful this home is. The inside of this place is immaculate, and the grounds outside are serene and tranquil. Communication with the hosts was fast and thorough. Don't hesitate if you are thinking about staying at HCH. It was well worth the 3 hour drive from Medford, and make sure you stop by the amazing Crater Lake National Park on the way! We also mountain biked the North Fork Trail, which was perfect and only situated about 15 minutes away.

    Justin2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I wanted to travel somewhere to escape our busy LA lives for a few days... somewhere secluded with little cell service and insane nature / hikes. We randomly found this place on airbnb and just booked it! The trip was exactly what we dreamt of. The photos of the house don’t do it justice- it is SO lovely and cozy, with thoughtful touches everywhere. Very secluded. One little thing to mention- the photo of the front yard is a bit deceiving as the house is not actually ON the reservoir, it’s down the road. Grocery store is down the road. McCredie hot springs 10 min away. We drove 30 min-2 hr for hikes each day, but the hikes were so incredible and drives were great. Perfect home base!!

    Eva2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is a gem! They really are super hosts. This has been my best experience with Air B&B. If you are looking for someplace to relax that has everything included you found the right place! Great scenery too!

    Brandi2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • What a special place! My wife and I stayed here briefly for our first anniversary, and it was the perfect cozy retreat. The Hills Creek Reservoir was breathtakingly beautiful, even in unexpectedly cold and rainy weather, and we were able to get a short hike in to enjoy the McCredie Hot Springs. The hosts have clearly put a lot of thought and effort into this AirBnB, and we enjoyed the attention to detail, comfort, and cleanliness of the rental.

  • Great stay. We had booked the trailer but due to it being really cold outside, the water had frozen so the taps were dry. The host was kind enough to move us into a small house - which was really nice and comfortable!

  • Super friendly. Very clean. Free coffee! A very comfortable space. Fun to stay in a trailer! Little store on site for quick food and drink.

  • Traveling for the first time to Oregon. There were a lot of unknowns: best road to take, what roads are open this time if the year, what do we do for food. All of these questions were promptly answer by Dustin. He gave us all the information we needed to get there, helped up check in, gave us the tour of the Camper (which in itself was a delight) and was a good host. Would highly recommend this place for those who like a bit of adventure. You have to go in with an open mind. It is quite remote, but the campsite itself is wonderful and has many great hiking trails around.

    Aalok2019-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • They really undersell this trailer! The internet is actually very decent. The bed and bedroom are so comfy. The space overall is clean and clever. And of course, it’s in such a great location:)

    Sarah2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • The RV is amazing! It has a fully equiped kitchen, ensuite bathroom, and a comfy bed. It was quite cold when we went but the staff installed a heater, which was great. There's always someone available to help with any questions, and to offer recommendations on where to visit around the area. The area is beautiful, tons of waterfalls and trails near the camping grounds. Would definitely stay there again!

    Andrea2019-11-06T00:00:00Z

The smaller upstairs bedroom has a Sleep Number queen-size bed. There is internet access at the cabin as well as local TV programming, streaming, DVD, and turntable for a large record collection.
  • When we finally arrived at midnight, open the door in below zero degree wind, we finally understood why Jesse’s place is rated so high. It was sparking clean, with all the amenities you would need, even with four pairs of snow shoes which we used for hiking a bit around crater lake. There was also a bike (or two?) in the backyard shed. Very very thoughtful. Would definitely come again if I visit Crater Lake. Note: the other bedroom is on the attic. The bed is best for just one person, but the futon bed in the living room is also very comfortable. Plus the bed in master bedroom it’s definitely enough for 4. Only note that the room on the attic doesn’t have heat, but it’s also comfortable.

  • We loved our stay at the red blanket cabin! It was very clean and so cute. The location was great for a base camp to snowshoe at Crater Lake and hike to the waterfalls around Prospect. Jesse thought of everything and even had snowshoes to borrow if needed. They also left a bottle of wine for us which was a nice touch. We would definitely stay here again!

    Therese2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • So glad we booked this cabin. It is absolutely beautiful and in a perfect location to explore many state parks and crater lake national park. Everything was sparkling clean and Jesse responded very quickly to any questions I had. I highly recommend.

Old and very rustic hunters cabin. It's not real pretty and not modern but a great little cabin. With wood heat and a very rustic old feel. We will be making improvements as we go but will keep the old cabin feeling. Unfortunatly there is no kitchen but a hot plate and bbq grill will be provided. There is also a refridgerator microwave and coffe pot.
  • Amazing!

    Wil2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was fantastic! We spent the day skiing at Willamette Pass and only have to drive about 10 minutes rather than an hour to get somewhere to stay. Donna has the fire going in the wood stove when we arrived, meaning we could warm up real quick. We stayed here in February of 2019 and returned again this year because we enjoyed it so much!

    Bradley2020-01-19T00:00:00Z

  • We absolutely loved this cabin! Some improvements have definitely been made from the pictures, and we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. It was super cute and cosy - yes, it was rustic but that's exactly what we were hoping from a log heated wood cabin in the forest! It was well kitted out with hot plate and microwave so we could cook for ourselves, the bed was big and comfy, and the sofas and throws were lovely and cosy. We also enjoyed a fire out in the firepit one evening under the stars. It ticked all our boxes for what we want in a little cabin. This was perfectly located for our roadtrip down through bend and on to crater lake, surrounded by other beautiful lakes. Would 100% stay again, and recommend to anyone!

    Emma2019-10-12T00:00:00Z

All of the waterfalls nearby were absolutely amazing. 10/10 recommend to couples or friends traveling in Oregon! Also, Sherry was so helpful in keeping me updated as to what the weather was going to be like. We hope to be back!

Let the river sing you to sleep in this sweet and brand new little cottage. Our place is within easy walking distance to restaurants and stores for any supplies you may need when you hit the trails. Or, could just hang out here, cast a fly, launch a raft or enjoy the sounds and sights of the beautiful middle fork of the Willamette River, just being.
The cottage is a studio apartment equipped with a queen size comfy bed and a sofa bed. There is a well equipped kitchenette and bath with shower. WiFi is provided and a flat screen tv. The river is very close to the cottage and the view of the river is wonderful, binoculars are kept at ready for watching osprey, eagles and of course ducks! There is a small fenced area for your doggie to be secure and one dog is welcome. Please let us know when you make your reservation if there is a dog traveling with you. We set the cottage up slightly different when there’s a pet.
Stewart’s 58 Drive in and Cedar Creek cafe are within easy walking distance. Fishing and rafting are in the back yard and hiking and mountain biking opportunities abound!
  • Enjoyed staying here. Next to other houses but felt private. The river and forest are beautiful and we felt very immersed in nature. We enjoyed dining at the nearby local bakery/cafe and hiking nearby.

  • Dee has a wonderful location right on the river. The space is clean and nice for a single traveler or couple. The fenced in little yard for dogs and fires was very nice as well! You will enjoy yourself here and find peace!

    Nick2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Although the cottage was a little closer to several homes than we expected, we were still very happy! When you’re in the cottage it is super private and the fenced backyard was perfect for my dog. Everything was super clean and modern, with a really functional kitchenette that was great for making meals. We were looking for a long weekend away and this was the perfect option! The bed was comfy, the other amenities were great, and she even left us some scones as a treat. Definitely recommend this if you’re looking to get out of the city for a bit. We drove 8 mins away and went on a 2 hour hike along the river which was wonderful.

The Oakridge Union Cog House has been completely restored and it's on the main street of the old Downtown. It is a 2 minute walk from the best Brewery and restaurant in this part of Oregon (Brewers Union) and 4 minutes from the Distillery. Four Legged and two legged guests love how close we are to the main Mountain Biking, fishing, hot springs Chillin, and Hiking trailheads. please look at our 70+ 5 star reviews.
Our house was built in the 50's and completely remodeled with all new beds/kitchen/bathroom/flooring/laundry room in early 2018. We wanted a place in Oakridge we could stay in to visit and we are not there that much. 1 king 1 Queen and 2 twins and a large lot give you plenty of room with a great new stainless kitchen.
The City of Oakridge is a beautiful area, surrounded by the vast Willamette National Forest, where families and businesses live and grow, work and play, live and dream, in a safe and sustainable community. With 500 miles of trails surrounding the city, it truly is a mountain biking paradise. Oakridge is a scenic place to live, work, and play.
  • A comfortable spot in great proximity to all you need!

  • This place is as described, and was actually a little more spacious than I was expecting. The views are gorgeous, it's in the historic district set back a couple of blocks from 58, so it's quiet. You do hear trains several times a day, but it's at enough of a distance to be a feature not a bug in my opinion. Brewer's Union is just a couple of blocks away and we really enjoyed the food and beer there. It was very peaceful, beautiful and relaxing. We would definitely look to stay here again in the future!

    Amber2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Gaaaaah!!! Let me just say this cozy little home away from home was just what we needed for Christmas 2019! From the comfy beds to the extras. Best of the best. Memories for a lifetime for my FamBam!!! Everything worked great, it was just perfect!! Thanks again <3

    Ashleigh2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend. We come to Oakridge often and I have stayed in most of the Airbnb's there. This one stands out in a few ways. First, the check in and check out are very easy. There are some very dark streets in Oakridge and checking in at night can be both confusing and even a little scary. It's the most convenient Airbnb location if you are headed up the highway or walking to the uptown area (I highly recommend the Brewer's Union a few blocks down from The Cog House). Inside the house, this is an extremely comfortable space with a ton of extra thoughtful touches. For example, there's a basket of stuff with extra shampoo or whatever in case you forgot something. The linens and mattresses are of high quality and the place heats up quickly to be very toasty.

They had a kennel available for our dog which was an added bonus. The heated bed was great after a long day in the snow and cold. Our family will definitely be back.

  • Chris's place was fantastic. Very cozy, it turned out to be the perfect gateway. Right on the gorge, the river views are wonderful. Remote, it offered all the quietness that we could wish for. Lots of little touches inside and outside made the stay easy. Chris is a stellar host!

  • When it comes to how beautiful of a stay my husband and I had here, it’s really hard to find words to describe it. The view from the room was breathtaking, the land was stunning, and we felt like we were in a heavenly place that we never wanted to leave. We are so glad that we came and the pictures and description exceeded our expectations all the way! Also, cleanliness is huge for us when it comes to where we stay and this did not disappoint. Thank you again for your cozy cottage! We loved every second we spent there.

    Cassandra2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • This place was amazing! It was so close to many wonderful attractions and also had a great trail right behind the property. It was very clean and very comfortable. It had all of the necessities- except a strainer in the kitchen. The internet worked the first night but no so much after that and there was no cell service but that just seemed to be true of the entire area- but that didn’t bother us to much. There was a VHS player but no movies- again, not a problem for us but good to know in case... you still have VHS tapes! :) The view from the porch was spectacular and there were multiple fire pits and grills and they supplied us with everything we needed! Chris was super nice and responded very quickly when we had questions. His parents live on the property and are very sweet. We feel very blessed to have spent time in such a wonderful spot! Definitely recommend this cute and cozy cabin!!

    Jules2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • I'm a little biased since we got engaged while staying here, but this place is unbelievable! The porch looks out across the Rogue River Gorge and is completely stunning. Nada and Bill were super responsive and friendly. Do yourself a favor and stay here.

  • A little piece of heaven Bill and nada were so lovely The cabin is cozy and the bed is so comfy The cabin has everything you need The view is outstanding and crater lake was breathtaking We used the fire pit both nights and watching the sunset from the balcony was something we will always remember Would love to come back Thankyou for a lovely stay

    Jasmin2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great! Conveniently located. A bit noisy on the weekends late at night due to it being above a bar/restaurant. Other than that Bambi and Vinnie were extremely hospitable and quick to respond!

    Stephen2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding value, great location, very inviting. Our group of 5 stayed in both the Maxwell House Lodge and the loft upstairs. Could not have been more perfect for us. Lots of room for us all to move around. Very well stocked kitchen with helpful labels on the cabinet doors. Mornings on the porch watching the sun light up the mountains as a sleepy little town woke up was so peaceful yet the lodge was convenient to everything we needed. Thank you Bambi and Vinnie for being part of a perfect family reunion vacation!

    Kathy2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and centrally located. The bathtub was great to soak in after long days on the trails.

  • Bambi and Vinnie’s place was just what we needed. Great location in Oakridge that made everything very accessible. They had the rooms outfitted with awesome AC units which kept us cool during the heat wave. The bed was very comfortable and I appreciated the bath at the end of a very long bike ride. We will definitely keep this place in mind for the future, or even the larger space in the unit below. Highly recommend to anyone staying in Oakridge! Wish we could have stayed longer.

Spring is a great time to visit Oakridge, snow is still good up at Willamette Pass and trails closer to town are opening up as volunteer sawyers clear out trees that fell during the winter storms. Located in Uptown Oakridge, this cottage is the ideal base for exploring the Middle Fork Ranger District of the Willamette National Forest. You're a short drive from snowy adventures and a stroll to the Brewer's Union Pub, Deep Woods Distillery and Ray's Supermarket.
Our cottage is not fancy; just a clean, simple place. The open, south facing living room has a smart TV with an apple tv box so you can access your own media streaming accounts. There are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and one small bathroom. The kitchen is vintage, but well equipped for cooking meals: plenty of pots and pans, serving dishes, even a crock pot so you can have hot food after your adventure. There is a standard drip coffee machine and a french press. There is no dishwasher but plenty of tools to hand wash. Off the back is a deck overlooking the backyard with views across to Larison Ridge. After your summer adventure, grill out on the deck and enjoy the fading light or relax in a hammock strung between big old oak trees. The garage below the house has a washer and dryer and is perfect for bike and gear storage. Pets allowed ONLY with prior consent from the owner and for an additional pet clean up fee. The back yard is fenced in and there are many easy dog walks from the house. Towels to wipe off muddy paws are provided.
You might be visiting Oakridge because you are drawn to the world class recreation on the surrounding Willamette National Forest. Please keep in mind that the area has a rich logging history and Oakridge was once a booming mill town. The logging industry shut down in the 1990's and since then the town has been trying to form a new base industry and is slowly evolving into a recreation destination. Cog Wild's cottage is located in Uptown Oakridge, which was formerly the center of town and is now being revitalized. This is a working class neighborhood near Oakridge's schools and churches, the Ray's Supermarket and a variety of restaurants. The cottage is a short drive from all kinds of adventure on the Willamette National Forest. and only a couple blocks from Cog's Oakridge Headquarters at First and Pine.
  • This little house is so perfect for your outdoor adventuring. Our family of four (two adults and two kids) plus our two dogs were really happy here. It's small but we we had plenty of room for our gear, parking, sleeping, etc. There are a ton of nice little locals' extras and amenities that are really thoughtful, and it was equipped with all needed cooking necessities. We went skiing at Willamette Pass everyday and the drive was short and we had everything we needed in Oakridge. Kirin was super responsive and helpful. We will be back!

The stay was made really comfortable and the host was very thoughtful of our needs. Right from water to firewood everything was provided. No reason for me to write anything negative. Loved my stay and would love to come again.

Sherry & L.J thought of everything with this place! & they were so quick to respond to all of my questions. There was also helpful notes all around the home. There were so many thoughtful additional touches like s’mores for the firepit, towels to take to the hot springs (along with detailed directions) and so many extra blankets. They also allowed early check in for us. Which was helpful as it was approximately a three hour drive. You do lose service out there but their WiFi is pretty decent. There is also a landline for phone calls. Overall, would definitely return!

  • This place is amazing! The location and accommodations were perfect for our multi family get together and the kids are already talking about ‘next time’ The hosts are quick to respond to requests and questions, the beds super comfortable, the kitchen well supplied and the fall weather was perfect for our multiple outings. Highly recommend.
