Nice, clean and tidy house with a unbelievable low price. Friendly host. extremely valuable. i was worrying about the environment since the price is even cheaper than a bed in youth hostels, but it surprised me.

Beautiful, divine place ... nestled amongst the trees and mountains. Could not recommend more. Lovely walks nearby ... But we enjoyed most of our days, sitting on the balcony ... after a swim and spa. Definitely recommend ..... this place will not disappoint.

Very peaceful weekend away. Great space, with lovely snacks and touches. The view from the deck is beautiful and the dam is great for a quick paddle and cool down. As other guests have mentioned, the dogs are so friendly and well behaved. Very happy with our stay in Nicky’s place, feeling refreshed and relaxed, ready for the week ahead!

The photos on the app do not do this house justice. Views from the deck are simply divine, and there was so much space to enjoy our weekend. The kids loved that the dogs would wander over to make sure we were ok! Nicky was a fabulous host-easy to contact, but gave us plenty of space to enjoy the property. The house itself was spotlessly clean, with modern amenities and a great media room for movies (with Netflix available) Nicky kindly provided eggs and fabulous granola for breakfast, and plenty of pods for the coffee machine. Thanks for being a lovely host!

The place was spotlessly clean, immaculately presented and very stylish. The Hideaway retreat was beautiful and equipped with everything I needed (and lots of lovely touches / local design). Very tranquil and relaxing property and great privacy as well. Don't miss having a look at the Billabong and cabin on the property as they are well worth the exercise to see them.

Our stay at Christa's place was the highlight of our 3-week trip to New Zealand and Australia. I cannot recommend her vacation rental more highly. Here's why ... When you read "Walkabout Retreat," it seems like you'll be aways out from civilization. I wanted the true Australian experience but also wanted modern conveniences and was surprised to learn that Christa's place is only about 10 minutes to two different city areas with all the conveniences you'd want or need and approximately 45 minutes to Brisbane and about an hour to the Sunshine Coast while at the same time being right in the mountains and on a traditional walkabout/bush property with 4x4-ing, native birds from the bordering national park, a billabong (pond) complete with a pontoon and fishing gear, bright stars, and much more. Additionally, Christa is an artist and has a nice-sized art studio on the property. We surprised our 16-year-old son with a private art lesson and he LOVED it. Christa is amazingly talented and whether you simply tour her gallery or book an Airbnb Experience with her and take a private or group art class, you will walk away inspired. We loved her work so much that we inquired if we could buy some art were able to walk away with a memento of our stay. Furthermore (though I could write so much more about how much we loved our stay), Christa's thoughtfulness goes above and beyond. Not only is she communicative and responsive and has made check-in easily accessible and has created a super comfortable home with all of the necessities but she loves people and makes herself available to provide recommendations, answer questions, and help you have the stay of a lifetime. Nutshell? Stay at the Walkabout Retreat! You will not only walk away with a true Australian experience but with new friends.

The cottage is very well appointed, spotlessly clean, of a good size and nice and comfortable. A great place to stay if you are visiting Samford Valley and the surrounding areas. Isabel is an attentive host who made sure we had everything we needed.

Beautifully set up and well appointed cottage with very hospitable hosts. I had a lovely stay and enjoyed watching the friendly chickens pecking around on the impeccably maintained acre at the back. Isabel very kindly gave me some of the chicken's eggs for breakfast and they were excellent!

Peace and quiet, a comfortable place to cook, eat and relax and great beds. A beautiful outdoor dining area which we didn’t have time to enjoy. And a brand new sofa!

We had a great time staying in Samford Valley. The host was lovely and it was very family friendly. Our young boys loved the chickens in the morning. The cottage was spotless, had everything you need for an enjoyable stay and was easy to get to the supermarket in Samford Village (5 min drive) or even into Brisbane. It was great to be out in the country but still close to conveniences.

It is a little out of the way so a car is essential. The room was small but comfortable. Very good value.

Quiet neighbourhood, bed and bathroom are both downstairs which gives a little more privacy. Flor was a wonderful host, who kindly gave me space after I received some bad news during my stay.

Wow! Quite honestly, I’ve stayed at HEAPS of Air bnb’s & I think this is my favourite. The place was much better & brighter than the pictures, the view was spectacular in person, the place was SO WELL decorated & designed, & the attention to detail was amazing! Things such as an information book, full cooking facilities, free fruit & eggs, milk, butter, cereal, home made chutney, toiletries, the list goes on. I’ve stayed in more expensive places for way less value! There are spectacular views of the sunrise & sunset & most of all - it had a great vibe! Sometimes you get to a place that’s technically nice but the energy is all wrong - this place has a great energy! I can’t wait to come back again!! I only wish I found this place sooner!!!

Although our stay at Daniela’s home was rather brief, it was incredibly hospitable. She waited for us to arrive late into the evening and made sure that we were situated. A great value, clean, awoke to the sound of birds, and we would recommend it.

We arrived at mid-night and Daniela was a gem for staying up and waiting for us. It was really kind of her to host us knowing we would be arriving so late. We were offered brekkie in the morning and had a lovely chat.

Daniela and her son were wonderful hosts that allowed me to come and go as I pleased and respected my privacy. She was very eager to answer all of my questions and make my stay as comfortable as possible.

Wow! What a lovely home - it was perfect for our plan to have a quiet New Year’s Eve in the country. There’s a gentle walk down to a still creek, which would be even more beautiful after some rain. The beds & pillows were comfortable, and a cool breeze flowed freely through the open windows. No a/c required. Perfect home away from home :)

My family and I stayed at Gillian's place when we travelled over from Perth for a wedding in the local area. It was just lovely! Such a gorgeous home that is clean and spacious and reasonably priced. Self check-in was super easy and the host was very responsive. It has the most beautiful view over the surrounding hills and a very peaceful atmosphere. We just loved it!

Nice quiet, private space, close to Arana Hills shops. Bed and bathroom are upstairs with a small living area and kitchenette downstairs. Communication was good, bee was comfortable and the ceiling fan was enough to keep the upstairs cool enough to sleep well on quite a hot day. Great value for money overall.

Liz and Ross are a nice couple, their home is nice and comfortable. There isca little kitchen wirh all necessary, and upstair a bath and bedroom with a cosy terrace. The home is near city center, near train station and bus.

Perfect location to catch a train to Brisbane CBD (2-3 minute walk to the station), spacious and very comfortable accommodation, everything needed in the unit to stay a while and gracious hosts. A truly exceptional place to stay. Everything has been well thought out from Netflix and Wi-Fi to board games and cards. A fire for the cooler months and a well provisioned kitchenette area with everything you will need. Great extra touches that just blew us away. If the kids drank coffee I'm sure we'd have used the coffee grinder and beans. Add to that the wild life (wallabies and birds) and it truly makes for a wonderful stay.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this lovely, comfortable and well appointed space. The setting amongst extensive bush gardens on acreage is beautiful with a relaxing view onto trees from the living area and back patio. A super comfortable bed in the large bedroom was a very nice touch as well.

Absolutely beautiful suite with a fully equipped kitchen, comfy bed and Tv. We had everything we needed. Felt very welcome from the start and we had access to the pool aswell. Leanne and Fred are fantastic hosts and would stay again.

We’ve stayed this amazing house for 15 nights and it was such a comfortable place to stay! The house is clean and the owners are very friendly. If you have a car, it’s very easy to go to both Brisbane and Sunshine Coast. ( Also a train station is just like 15 min on foot) I highly recommend this beautiful room :)

Loved the pool!

This spot was amazing. Craig and Fiona are an amazing couple. Didn't lack for anything in the kitchen. Washing machine as well. Always fresh linens and towels and they were available at a moments notice while maintaining great privacy. Also well located in the green suburb of cashmere. Beautiful spot. We stayed for a month and it was perfect. Only lack is nearby public transportation, but with our car it was very accessible to Brisbane.

It is set in a very quite residential area, but still easy to find. Craig was very welcoming and their place is sparkling clean with good quality linen and bedding. Also lots of extra little touches to make your stay pleasurable. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

It is a shame that you cannot give more than 5 stars. There was yogurt, fruit juice and toast for breakfast. Netflix and a USB tree so you could charge multiple items. A better stay than a five star hotel and I have stayed in plenty of those in Asia and Europe.

The house was very clean and tidy, and whilst it isn't a 4 star hotel, I actually liked it better, because it had a nice 'homey' feel to it. The train station was literally just down the road, and is perfect for public transport. I suggest anyone who wants a nice 'home away from home' experience to go to Rosannes!

Roseanne’s home is quiet, tidy and cosy; exactly what we were looking for! Its location is also very convenient, as there is a train station and two major malls nearby! Rosanne is a wonderful and communicative host and we would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend :)

We stayed at Rossane's home for 6 weeks and we had a wonderful experience. Not only you'll find everything you might need to enjoy your staying (and I mean EVERYTHING) but also she is such a warm and friendly person who will make you feel like home at every possible opportunity. Both the rail station and bus stops are a couple of minutes walking away, and shopping centres are quite close too so you won't worry about anything else from the moment you put a feet on this house. If you are looking for an affordable option to have a great time, either for a long term staying or a short one you should definitely come to Rossane's, you won't regret it. We had a good time there. Rosanne was very friendly and courteous. The train station is right around the corner and in the street are some small restaurants and a sportsbar.

As advertised, the home is a beautiful Queenslander. Very close to train station and bus stop. Rosanne and Matt are really cool host. I felt welcomed and at home here. There's a cool Italian restaurant right next door. It's very quiet and homely here.
