Places to stay in Bolingey
Our attractive, modern, ground floor coastal apartment, with its own decking, for one or two guests, enjoys magnificent sea views, is a stone's throw from Perranporth's wide, golden, sandy surfing beach and is very close to village amenities. It contains everything you will need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. Wi-Fi throughout. Central heating. No cleaning fees. Parking to rear. The coastal footpath is just outside our front gate. You will never tire of the view; it will keep you spellbound.
If there is a one night vacancy showing on the calendar, between other bookings, please message to enquire about availability. The whole apartment is centrally heated, double glazed and has Wi-Fi throughout. I don't charge a cleaning fee and we also don't charge extra for electricity or for the central heating. Located here in glorious Perranporth, Cornwall, enjoying the most incredible far reaching views, with a landscape which is constantly changing, yet we are only a stone's throw away from the beach and everything which the village has to offer - eateries, shops, bars, pubs etc. You can walk everywhere. We have provided rattan chairs, a table, and full length loungers on the apartment's decking, where you can dine alfresco, all the while drinking in the amazing view laid out before you. Early risers can experience a Perranporth sunrise from a decking viewpoint. We even provide throws and a hot water bottle to keep you warm and toasty should you wish to sit outside when the weather turns chillier. There are windbreaks, seating and mats for the beach located in the main hall. From the decking, step through the French doors into the main living area. Here we have a large flat screen smart television with NETFLIX for our guests, DVD player with dvds, dining table and two chairs, a very comfortable leather two seater recliner sofa, coffee tables and a fully equipped kitchen area. There are ample cupboards and worktop surfaces with fridge (including a small freezer compartment), microwave, electric oven, ceramic hob, toaster and kettle. The apartment is equipped with stainless steel saucepans, Pyrex dishes, white tableware, a selection of various glasses (wine/champagne/tumblers), cutlery, place-mats, tea towels and many other sundries. We have provisioned it with fresh milk, tea, instant coffee, cafetière with ground coffee, drinking chocolate, biscuits and condiments. Dish washing, cleaning items, bin liners, J-cloths etc are kept beneath the sink. Additionally, there is an iron, ironing board, and portable clothes dryer. We have also put out binoculars, board games and playing cards and a selection of relevant books about Cornwall and paperbacks to keep you entertained. There are lots of leaflets in the apartment detailing Cornish attractions, including discount vouchers too, along with a set of tide tables so you can keep an eye on what the sea is doing. I am more than happy to drop off a daily newspaper for you as I always nip down to the village to get my own first thing in the morning. The apartment's main front door is located within this area. Walking through to the bedroom there is a wardrobe with plenty of hangers, lots of drawer space, bedside cabinets with matching lamps and a king size bed made up with a king size duvet and attractive bed linen. In addition there is a wall mounted Smart TV with DVD player (there are some DVDs in the apartment should you wish to watch them) on which the internet can also be accessed and NETFLIX for our guests. Additionally, there is a hairdryer and bedside clock radio. The fully tiled en-suite shower room, with heated towel rail, has an excellent power shower and towels (one bath and one hand towel per person) provided, along with various toiletries eg shampoo, conditioner, shower gel etc. We have our own private car park to the rear of the main property. Check out is at 11am but we are more than happy for guests to leave their car for a few extra hours after this time so that they can eke out their break just a little longer before their return journey. Just ask. From our apartment you can look across to the exact spot on the cliffs opposite where Winston Graham wrote the novels Ross Poldark and Demelza in the 1940's. Of course, most of the filming for the television series Poldark takes place around Cornwall, and hereabouts. The beach is famed for its wide expanse of golden sand, which is cleaned regularly throughout most of the year. It's a tremendous walk to the other end of the beach (just watch out for the incoming tide!) or to meander along the sandy dunes. It's great for surfing, with a surf school practically on the doorstep (closed during the winter months, although there are others in the village open all year round). Lifeguards patrol the beach for your safety during the busier months. Storm watching can be wild and exciting in the winter months, especially if the tides are exceptionally high, when the beach takes on a very different character. Watch all the excitement from inside without getting cold and wet outside! Access to the coastal footpath is practically on our doorstep and it's a glorious walk to St Agnes, which is about four miles away across the cliffs. Or to Holywell Bay in the other direction. The Watering Hole, located on the beach itself, is a very popular bar/restaurant to view some of our amazing sunsets over the ocean. Perranporth Golf Club, enjoying breathtaking views up and down the coast, is one of Cornwall's finest links courses and is only a 1.4 mile drive away. Perranporth Tennis Club has six grass courts and three newly resurfaced floodlit hard courts. It is open to visitors and is only a 0.5 mile walk away from us. The nearest riding stables are just under two miles from us by road. The local doctors' surgery and Boots the Chemist are extremely close, should you require their services during your stay. The bustling cathedral city of Truro is only nine miles away (try The Heron Inn overlooking the Truro River at Malpas, which is just a couple of miles drive/walk from the City centre); the famous Eden Project 26 miles and St Ives 24 miles distant (hint: drive to Lelant Saltings or St Erth then take the train right into St Ives, a very memorable scenic railway journey, albeit quite short, as driving around St Ives can be quite challenging). If you're a Doc Martin fan then why not go to Port Isaac which doubles as Portwenn in the series. We love having lunch at The Budock Vean Hotel (TR11 5LG) at Mawnan Smith, 21 miles away, followed by a walk through the beautiful grounds down to The Helford River (think Daphne du Maurier's Frenchman's Creek). Their Cornish cream afternoon teas are such a treat too: large, homemade scones, with lashings of Cornish cream and Boddington's strawberry jam, along with a selection of delicious homemade cakes. Travelling widely over the years has given us an insight into what travellers like and expect. We have, therefore, used this knowledge when setting up the apartment for our guests. However I am always very open to any suggestions to make your stay with us special and memorable. If you think we've forgotten something, therefore, please don't hesitate to let us know. We don't charge a cleaning fee either. So come and share our view with us. We guarantee you won't be disappointed. Please also see our other Airbnb listing for four people: www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/19563456. This apartment is located on the opposite side of Bay Court's main hallway
We have travelled fairly extensively over the years and we both think that the beach here at Perranporth has got to be one of the very best beaches in the world. Come and experience it for yourself.
  • Our stays at Beth's apartment was lovely, the view was amazing. The apartment was clean and tidy. Beth was welcoming and on the phone if needed. Will definitely return one day.

    Alice2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • The views from the deck are spectacular. Even in wintery blustery weather it was a stunning place to be. Everything we needed had been thought of. It was great.

    Natalie2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful time. Beth had thought of everything we needed and more.

    Hubert2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Beth's place for one night for my boyfriends birthday, on arrival their were thoughtful touches of confetti and napkins saying happy birthday and even a card. The apartment was very clean and homely it felt like we had been there forever! Lovely area and lovely hosts, we plan to go back in the future probably in the summer for a few days as it was so nice this time.

    Jemma2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Easy communication, thoughtful touches such as flowers, birthday confetti and biscuits to enjoy. Well stocked cupboards, ideal for self catering. Within easy walking distance of local shops, restaurants and beach. Perhaps the best feature is the view. Endless hours could be lost gazing out to sea.

    Samantha2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and location. Really nice place with lots of lovely touches. The host was extremely kind and helpful.

Secluded, self contained, 1 bedroom apartment in our home by the sea. Bedroom, bathroom (shower), living area with kitchen. Living room with TV (Netflix, iPlayer ...) sofa, dinning table & chairs, kitchen (hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge & freezer.). Bathroom with shower, sink & loo. Bedroom with king size bed, wardrobes. WiFi, USB ports, Bluetooth speaker. The flat has private parking by it's own entrance (key code access). Not suitable for babies or children and we are keeping it pet free.
It's a cliff top house, overlooking the sea and beach, on the edge of the village we love, Perranporth. To get the great sea views in the photos you do need to step outside the flat and go up the stairs to the top deck, that you can use anytime. From the flat you do have a limited narrow view of the sea down the side of the house (see current photo 13), but it's worth going up the outside stairs ! From the property, walk down to the beach and Perranporth village with plenty of shops, surf schools, restaurants, pubs and cafes. OR turn left onto the coastal path. St Agnes is a bit under a 90 minute cliff top walk. Dinner and a taxi back is a great evening. The house, including the flat was completed in late 2017. We tried to take on a lot of current "eco" build ideas in that the house is well insulated (triple glazed windows, sheeps wool in the walls), and has most of the internal air continually refreshed, not from vents and gaps, but a ventilation system that gives more filtered and dehumidified fresh air into the building than a traditional property. There is some more obvious tech in that the light switches give multiple scenes, the bathroom lights are PIR sensor triggered and the blinds are on remote controls.
Droskyn headland is at the south end of Perranporth beach, at the edge of the village.
  • A fantastic Airbnb space. Really well thought through layout which is very practical and clean. The space is bigger than it looks in the photos. Rory is a great host. He was easy to communicate with before we arrived and had provided some nice personal touches to the space. There are sea views from the lounge down the side of the main house and we wrapped up warm to enjoy local Rattler Cyder on the beautiful balcony overlooking the sea, beach and town. We visited Perranporth when it was stormy with sunny spells and still found plenty to do locally! A really lovely place to visit.

    Mary2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely little flat in perfect surroundings. The perfect get away. Rory was super helpful with tips and made us feel at home. We will 100% be back again. Thanks again!

    Samantha2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location, only a few minutes walk to the beach. Beautiful space with everything you need for a get away. The shower is ten out of ten! Rory and Sarah both very welcoming and accommodating. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

    Dominic2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • A very well equipped, elegantly designed comfortable modern flat. Immaculately presented with many additional features such, streaming TV (Netflix, iPlayer etc) Bluetooth speaker, an exceptional shower, high tech insulation & ventilation that keeps one cosy in winter. (we stayed in Feb 2020 during storm Dennis!) and pleasant in summer. Beautiful view from the shared balcony a short walk outside from the flat entrance door down the side of the house & up some stairs. We were sad to leave.

    David2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I can not fault Rory’s place, it’s beautiful, clean, open, and comfortable! Great value for price, and Rory was so lovely and helpful to us! Location was great too, with amazing views.

    Megan2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay. The place was really cool and clean, and the area was much better than we expected with plenty to do. The pub tips were brilliant and we enjoyed the food. When the storm hit we had an amazing night in with plenty of entertainment. We’ll definitely be back!

    Mike2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful little apartment which had everything we required! Rory was very helpful and he gave us some nice tips about where to go for food and some nice walks! Check in was super easy, and we really enjoyed our stay! We will be coming back!!!

  • Thank you so much for the pleasent stay. Your house is amazing and we really enjoyed the apartment. Also amazing is the nice view from the roof and the 5 minutes distance to the beach. The apartment has everything you need and is very clean. Especially the comfortable shower gives you an amazing feeling after a walk in the windy beachside. Thanks again. Will come back

This stunning, three double-bedroom Finnish Lodge, nestles into the side of Carn Marth Hill, a World Heritage Site. From the huge triple glazed Cathedral windows there are far reaching views across the rural landscape of mid-Cornwall. Enjoy relaxing by the pool during the day and soaking in the hot tub by night!
The living room is flooded with light from the double height windows as is the mezzanine double bedroom. The wood burning stove creates a cosy atmosphere in the evenings or for winter visits. You will enjoy the hot tub looking out over the rural landscape. The property is well equipped for 6 people to enjoy a very comfortable stay.
We live on the side of Carn Marth Hill and you can walk directly from the house to the top of the hill where you will find a lovely little quarry lake where locals fish and occasionally swim. From here you can see both North and South coasts the walk on to explore more of the many footpaths and bridleways.
  • The Lodge is beaufitul, clean and has great views. The huge window fills the space with natural light and keeps it surprisingly warm! Caroline is very welcoming, we'd have felt very comfortable asking for help at any point if we'd needed it.

    Lauren2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to get away for a while. Caroline was lovely in assisting us from booking to checking out. I would certainly recommend this place and hopefully one day return for another stay.

    Muhammad2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Caroline’s place felt really special, we arrived a little early due to the rain and Caroline accommodated this with no notice. The alpacas made the place really unique, lovely that they are in the field next door to the property. And the hot tub was a big hit with everyone. And let’s not forget scones fresh from the oven with jam and lashings of clotted cream. Really convenient to get to lots of places as well. We stayed with our friends who have two little girls and an infant and there was plenty of room, two bathrooms definitely helps! I should also mention the property was cosier than I thought it would be even without the fire on. Great for a wet February half term!

    Gillian2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Caroline’s house was lovely and we felt very welcome. From the cream tea with homemade scones on arrival to the luxurious hot tub to the cute and funny alpacas in the back garden, we had a wonderful time. Thank you!

    Elspeth2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely lodge. Super hot tub. Lovely cream tea and the most comfy beds. A super place to stay.

    Deborah2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful lodge set in a picturesque location. Caroline is a wonderful host, answering questions extremely promptly pre-arrival , then offering her assistance on arrival with her knowledge of the local area. The lodge is extremely well appointed & the hot tub is toasty toasty! Highly recommended!

    Emma2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Nicely located, tucked out of the way about so nice and peaceful but close enough to East South and West coasts. Didn't explore too much as weather was being very British but what we did see were some nice walks and welcoming pubs. Cosy to stay in thanks to the log burner too. A really nice way to escape for a days.

    Alex2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • From arrival to departure a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Amazing cream tea supplied by the host enjoyed by the log burner whilst watching the llamas!

  • A lovely cottage with beautiful features inside and out! The place was lovely and clean and there were small things such as teabags, coffee and sugar provided which I was very grateful for as I forgot my own teabags. Highly recommend for people wanting to shut out the world and have a cosy, relaxing stay.

  • Absolutely fabulous place. Spotless. Well equipped. Don’t hesitate. One of the best.

  • Great cottage, renovated really well. Lovely village and pub. The host was great and we saw him on arrival. The hot tub is a lovely touch. Thank you for a nice stay!

    Harry2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in this quaint cottage with our two young children. We stayed during the winter and it was very cosy and warm. We didn’t make use of the hot tub but hope to return soon without our children where we will. The location was great for everything we wanted to do. There is a local pub and corner shop but also a Morrison’s not too far away either. We would recommend this beautiful cottage for a little get away!

    Tom2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, welcoming and clean cottage. Everything is as described and the instructions are clear and simple. Quick and helpful responses from Shaun. Thank you :) Highly recommend.

Saint Newlyn East, Cornwall, United Kingdom

The Studio is situated close to Holywell bay, near Newquay on the north coast of Cornwall with its lovely beaches, the area is great for walking, cycling or just chilling. It is self contained with a comfortable double bed & a bed settee, which is suitable for children, it has its own kitchenette & ensuite bathroom. WE ARE HAPPY TO TAKE DOGS, SUBJECT TO A £5 PER NIGHTCHARGE PER DOG. Please note that although the listing is for 4 people that the studio is only suitable for a maximum 3 adults.
The studio is a completely self contained loft with a small decking area where you may sit & enjoy a glass of wine whilst enjoying the sunshine, it is unfortunately not suitable for disabled or infirm guests, being accessed via an external staircase. It is about 1 mile from Holywell bay & Polly joke cove, both of which you can walk to via National trust footpaths. Newquay & Perranporth are about 5 miles away, whilst Truro is around 10 miles away, Newquay airport has regular flights from many parts of the UK & is about 7 miles away. The studio is very comfortable (we lived in it for 2 years whilst rebuilding our house) although the surrounding grounds are a work in progress, so please don't expect manicured gardens. The studio is an ideal base for walking, swimming, surfing, fishing, wildlife watching & general coastal living. We have bikes for hire at discounted rates for guests of the studio. We have a surf school at Holywell bay for those that wish to learn, Lee the owner has been head lifeguard for over 25 years. * Parking space. * Washing machine. * Tumble Dryer * Freezer compartment We are happy to meet our guests & to make suggestions for places to visit, eat, drink. We will provide a welcome pack for our guests, to include a few essentials for your arrival. We only ask that you accept that we can be extremely busy at times due to having a business to run, we in return will respect your privacy & if you do not wish to interact with us that is perfectly fine. We live in a very wild & beautiful part of Cornwall, the area can be both hot & sunny & also wild & stormy, both beautiful in their own way. Holywell bay has been used as a setting for many films & TV dramas including Die another day (James Bond), Summer in February, Poldark & the recent Jamaica inn tv drama, it is characterised by the twin peaks of Gull (or Carter) rocks & has beautiful golden sands. Polly joke ( or Porth joke) is a beautiful little hidden cove. There are several great pubs & restaurants within walking distance if you should wish to eat out or go for a quiet drink. Buses run on a regular basis from the village which is 10 minutes walk away, there is also a local taxi service.
Although we are only 4 miles from the surf capital of the UK, Newquay, we are in a quiet idyllic area surrounded by nature, you are guaranteed a wonderful nights sleep only to be awoken with bird song. We have footpaths starting almost outside our gate, taking you to our local beaches via the local common, a 350 acre National Trust wildlife haven.
  • Great place would highly recommend

    Richard2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks to Gail and Pete for being great hosts. The studio was exactly as described and a brilliant base to explore the Newquay area of Cornwall with its fantastic beaches. The studio was clean, welcoming and had some lovely touches, we loved their honey from their own bees! The recommendation for The Smuggler’s Rest was spot on, the best fish and chips I can remember eating in years. Thanks for some wonderful Cornwall memories 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

    Michelle2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place this is! Ideal for a relaxing retreat with lovely amenities and excellent easy walking in a very scenic part of Cornwall. Pete and Gail were perfect hosts. We'd love to visit again one day!

    Harry2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Nice affordable loft close to Newquay and beaches. Fresh eggs and bread left by the host were fantastic.

    David2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second visit to "The Loft" and we loved it just as much as the first time. We visited for new year this time (29th Dec to the 5th of January) and Pete and Gail went to the effort of decorating the studio with a tree and lights etc. making it even cosier! Pete and Gail are incredibly welcoming and always close by if you need anything but also are happy to leave you to it, giving you your own space. We love the fact that this place is far enough out that it is quiet and homely while also being close enough to Newquay (about a 10 minute drive) and walking distance from the beach. We would recommend this stay to anyone.. and bring your dog's, they'll love it too!

    Jon2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great location with great hosts, would highly recommend :)

    Emma2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • The studio is beautiful and so clean, the extras were a lovely touch. It felt like we were at home and Gail and Pete are both lovely and welcoming, if your looking for a nice place to stay look no further. It’s peaceful and relaxing. Dogs are also welcome which is an added bonus. See you again soon

  • Michelle's cottage provided the perfect bolt hole for myself and my wife with everything considered, characterful and of the best quality. The bed and be linen were second to none and the quality of the kitchen equipment simply made me jealous. Michelle obviously cares about her guests as much as she obviously adores the cottage, with thoughtful touches and splashes of luxury and oodles of style. The stairs to the bedroom are very steep and you do need to use the rope hand rail but we soon got used to it and the extra care needed. The bathroom agin is uber stylish and the highest quality and the outdoor area, even though the weather didn't really lend itself to making full use of it, was charming. Mithian itself is lovely small hamlet with a decent country pub less than a minutes walk and St Agnes, just 2 miles away, is full of Cornish charm with easy access to the South West Coastal Path - just exceptional walking. Overall? And exceptional place to stay and well worthy of the accolades its reviews bestow.

    Paul2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful few days in Cornwall staying in this beautiful cottage. I couldn't recommend it more - wonderful relaxing break!

    Daniel2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely time in a beautiful home and every detail was just so thought out. Really nice touches in terms of decorations and also a great use of such a small space too made our stay really comfortable. We had an awful weekend in terms of weather but the cottage was very cosy and we managed to spark up the fire and chilled out with Netflix on the smart tv which was a nice touch! Bed was super comfy and the robe and slippers again another nice touch! The host made us feel at home and was on hand at all times, making sure we had everything we needed. Garden was so pretty and quaint, would love to go back in summer when we could enjoy it! Will certainly be taking some of the ideas for design features back into my own home, and may even buy some knitting needles after being inspired by the ones in the cottage! Thank you, we had a lovely stay!

  • We loved the Cottage. Warm and cosy and so easy to spend time in. Michelle goes the extra mile with the little details. Special section for our pooch with treats and welcome furry toy was a special touch. This is one Airbnb host who goes the extra mile. The village is very picturesque and the local (Miners arms) is what you would imagine a pub should be.

  • Lovely stay in this little cottage :) the stairs are very steep just as a warning. Loved all the thoughtful touches!

    Sarah2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had the best time in this fantastic thatched cottage. The location is great, the property is beautiful and Michelle was all that we could have asked for as a host. If we get the chance, we will definitely be coming back!

  • Perfect little cottage jam packed with great modern amenities you don’t usually find in holiday rentals that make all the difference.

    Sarah2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing week over New Years in Michelle’s cottage. It had everything we needed and was perfectly situated to explore Cornwall. Would highly recommend staying

  • We had a lovely stay at Anita and Andrew's place - convenient location, some lovely thoughtful touches (e.g. the breakfast supplies and chocolates!), and a super warm spot to weather Storm Dennis! Anita was really quite to respond to queries, even though she was away, and the check in/check out was very easy. Thank you!

  • Immaculate, well presented and comfortable place to stay

    Ash2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation is lovely, comfortable and spacious. It is a converted chalet with delightful views over the city. Our hosts, or in particular their son, could not have been more helpful. Its a perfect place to be based if you are visiting Truro.

    Jason2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely facilities and views, despite being close to Truro centre - very quiet. Comfy bed. Helpful hints and tips sheet, we took up the recommendation of the nearby very popular gastro- pub and had a very good meal there (they catered for GF as well which was helpful). Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

    Sue2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice and cozy annex, which felt like it's own little apartment. Easy access to all the surrounding towns, as well as a picture perfect view of Truro. Perfect for two people!

    Leo2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Booked this for my parents for a little break away! They loved it, perfect little spot to stay while they were visiting Truro to watch a theatre show!

Designed for those who love the great outdoors but like their creature comforts, our shepherds hut is a little slice of luxury with a king size bed, thermostatic heating and en suite shower room. Sited with unspoilt views down a seaward valley guests are welcome to enjoy our 14 acre farm, which includes a wildflower meadow, woodland and a river. An outdoor kitchen, rose garden and an orchard of Cornish apple varieties, complete with free range chickens, are all available for guests to use.
Our shepherds hut is sited peacefully under a mature ash tree with beautiful views down a rural wooded valley. The hedges and woods are alive with bird song, and you can stroll straight out of the hut to explore our 14 acre farm, complete with wildflower meadow, wet woodland and a gently flowing river. Our fields lead on to a network of footpaths and bridleways, perfect for walkers and nature lovers. We include a folder of local walks and suggested days out, perfect for those with or without dogs to explore. Suitable for two people, the hut has a comfortable king size bed, kitchen, and an en suite shower room. For the true luxurious glamping experience the hut has mains water, electricity, wifi, flat screen TV, thermostatic heating and a heated towel rail in the bathroom. If you love al fresco cooking and dining the hut has its own gravelled seating area with a fire pit, or you can use the outdoor kitchen which sits in our orchard of traditional Cornish apple varieties. The outdoor kitchen has a large BBQ and a pizza oven. Once you've cooked your feast enjoy it sat in our beautifully scented rose garden, or how about wandering down to the riverside at the bottom of the farm, where you may be joined by a heron or even an otter! Our farm is conveniently sited a 2 minute drive from the village of Goonhavern and a 5 minute drive from the small seaside town of Perranporth. If you'd rather leave the car behind both Goonhavern and Perranporth can be accessed on foot using a tranquil network of footpaths and byways, within 20 minutes and 40 minutes respectively. We also have three pubs within a 20 minute walk and you'll find a walk pack within the hut on arrival to help with your adventures!
We're located a 2 minute drive or 20 minute walk from the village of Goonhavern. Here you'll find a well stocked shop and post office, a pub which serves lovely food, and a garden centre with a café, green grocery and pet shop. Just 5 minutes drive away is the small seaside town of Perranporth, which is famous for its 3 miles of golden sandy beach. Perranporth offers a small co-op, family butchers, greengrocers, bakery and many small cafes, ice cream shops and pasty suppliers! We are situated approximately 8 miles from both the picturesque city of Truro and the seaside resort of Newquay. Falmouth, St Ives and the Eden project are all approximately 35 minutes away, perfect for sight seeing.
  • This little place is just perfect for a few days of countryside bliss. It’s equipped with everything you’d need, and is in easy driving distance of beaches and towns to visit during the day. Natasha is a great host, easy to communicate with if you need anything and the home baked goods were a yummy treat on arrival. We’ll definitely be returning :)

  • Amazing hosts with quick responses and very accommodating to every need! We used the pizza oven one night, and the fire pit the other, which was a great experience (and super cosy)! This hut has a warm and homely touch, which is perfect for a mini-getaway with beautiful walks and beaches nearby to explore - would definitely go back again!

    Jocelyn2020-01-26T00:00:00Z

With stunning sea views, ‘The Lookout’ in beautiful Perranporth offers cosy accommodation for 1 or 2 adults and is just a 10-minute walk from the town and beach. Whether you want to relax to a breathtaking sunset, ramble along our iconic coastal paths, enjoy a day/night at The Watering Hole (the UK's only bar/restaurant on the beach), or simply explore stunning Cornwall, The Lookout provides the perfect base.
The property is a newly refurbished self-contained outhouse adjacent to my bungalow (on the same plot) with a double bed, kitchenette, breakfast bar and a contemporary en-suite shower room with electric shower.
Classic seaside town vibe with a welcoming and buzzing atmosphere.
  • Beautifully clean and well decorated. Angela was a great host and breakfast was a lovely addition! Would recommend!

    Sabrina2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic little find, the Lookout was absolutely fab. Super close to the beautiful beach - just a short walk from the property. Lovely touches having a stocked fridge and breakfast supplies. Definitely great value for money.

    Hayley2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • The lookout was such a beautiful space to stay in and Angela was the best host! She had left us with juice and snacks in the fridge, also the lookout has the comfiest bed ever which was exactly what we needed after a night down at the wateringhole!

    Hannah2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • The Lookout was a lovely little place to stay. Angela communicated with us really well and kept us informed of things happening in the area at the time of our stay. Everything was lovely, stylish and clean and the Lookout had everything you’d need for a stay from shampoos and bath towels to a range of cereals, fruits and yogurt for breakfast! We had a fantastic stay and would definitely stay again and would highly recommend.

  • Really fab place! Perfect base for the night easy walk to the town and beach . Lovely warm retreat to come back to after venturing out on a cold wet evening. Bed wonderfully comfortable and the place is exceptionally clean. Had everything I needed and more! Enjoyed waking up and knowing there was food readily available really felt relaxed before taking on the coastal paths! My only wish is that I had booked another night! I was well looked after and made to feel welcome. Thanks Angela! :)

    Rhiannon2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • The Lookout was a lovely place to stay. Angela made us feel at home even before our arrival. The accommodation was lovely and easy to walk to Perranporth and the beach. The breakfast was great with a nice selection of food and there was also a choice of dairy free milk and yoghurt. It was very clean and tidy and nothing was too much for the host. I’d definitely recommend Angela’s place for a great stay and base to explore Perranporth and the surrounding area. Thank you 😊

  • I think this may well be the best example of Air B&B we’ve experienced. We loved the studio from the moment we arrived. It may be small but it’s perfectly formed, the space is used very cleverly and it felt perfectly spacious for us - a couple and our baby. It was spotlessly clean and Melinda had clearly put lots of thought into making sure the space is well appointed with everything you might need, with quality furniture and fittings and some lovely extra touches too. The location is beautiful, quiet and within easy reach of many of Cornwall’s beautiful towns and beaches, it’s an ideal spot to explore from. Melinda was very welcoming from the first time we talked and she and her husband were very friendly in person. I hope we are able to return one day and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

    Clare2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • The studio is beautifully presented, spotlessly clean , bright and fittings are all to a high standard. We were delighted to have found it. Thank you Melinda!

    Linda2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic and beautiful place to say. The studio was beautiful and the hosts were amazing. The studio is so nicely laid out, full of light, and clean. It also had just about anything you could ever want of need while staying somewhere other than your own home. The location is perfect as well and wonderfully quiet, with a lovely pub just a short walk away. Our hosts went above and beyond for our little one, and made sure his stay (as well as ours) was comfortable and fun.

    Shea2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is a very stylish, homey place to stay. The host was great and made sure we had everything we needed. Loved the attention to details (beers in the fridge, heated mattress pad, etc.). The kitchen is great, but we had problems with warming up a pizza as the smoke detector is right above and it started beeping every time we'd open the oven. Give my boyfriend quite a scare. So maybe eat out instead, there are some restaurants nearby! Highly recommend the place!

Liskey Hill Park is close to family-friendly activities and public transport. The site is ideal for couples and families. Just a 10 min walk into the beautiful coastal town of Perranporth with a massive beach and plenty of shops and restaurants and is central for exploring Cornwall. Lovely coastal walks and not far from Newquay or Truro. The site has a small shop, launderette and BBQ area. If you require a gated veranda please click on my profile pic to see my other caravan on the same site.
We have tried to make our caravan a little home from home to ensure you have a lovely relaxing break. Just a 15 minute walk to the town and very central to enable you to explore Cornwall. There are also some fab coastal walks.
Perranporth has an amazing beach. Also a fabulous place on the beach called 'The Waterhole' which regularly has live band evening entertainment. The town has great shops/restaurants. Perranporth has fantastic coastal walks and is also very central so a great base to explore Cornwall.

  • A clean and comfortable room in a small house. Shared bathroom next door. The house is in a quiet cul de sac close to pubs, restaurants, shops and the beach. Steve is a considerate and unobtrusive host and the whole experience was very pleasant.

  • Conveniently located close to the town centre and space for parking, the room is comfortable but quite small.

    Chris2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic clean room with a very comfortable bed. Excellent extra touches with the TV, Alexa and a Devon & Cornwall guidebook. Steven's listing is very near the centre of town which was perfect as we stayed for a gig at The Watering Hole. Steven was a wonderful host, responding to all questions promptly which was helpful when planning our trip. He also recommended places to eat in town and we enjoyed a delicious Thai meal from Piran Thai. We would definitely return as it was a lovely place to stay. Thank you very much, Calli & Adam

  • We had a wonderful stay here. Biz is a fab host, the room is super clean and has everything you could possibly want. Location is brilliant, our only worry was the parking, as we have a Land Rover, but we shouldn’t have worried, got in and out fine, don’t let that put you off! We can’t thank Biz enough and will definitely be back!

  • We had a lovely six nights in the Annex from the welcoming bottle of Prosecco to the home comforts of a Mira shower. Parking is a little tight, but the location is great so we did need to move the car again until we left. Thanks for being a great host.

  • When my brother inlaw found the apartment on AirBnB and it was in Perranporth we booked it straight away. It seemed almost too good to be true. There was no catch! But everything was as perfect as it seemed online. The Host friend was the most thoughtful, gracious host. She provided us with all the information we needed as well as milk, tea, coffee and Prosecco. The apartment was just perfect! Kitchen is compact and contains everything one needs. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was modern with a good shower. The outside seating area is south facing was excellent. The WiFi was fast and a good TV with a lot of dvd's if you needed them. We have Amazon fire stick and Netflix so it was home from home when we used the TV. Location is incredible. The parking was a little tight but gave us no problem. The door lock had been fixed and now works fine. We had a lovely holiday, one to remember.

    Wendy2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • We were so impressed by this accommodation. It was beautifully presented, well equipped and spotlessly clean. There were so many little touches that made our stay extra special. Great location and a really sunny outdoor space. I highly recommend Papermoon.

  • Fantastic location, amazing when you can be at the beach within 30 secs walk

    Paul2019-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • We spent 10 days in Perranporth at Surfer's Cottage. The parking is a little bit tight if you have a big car but manageable. Lots of steps inside and out and the path down to the beach is steep so if you have mobility issues this isn't the place for you. However for us, mum and 2 boys, it was perfect. Lovely big kitchen which meant we could all sit together and cook dinner and chat about our day. The kitchen is very well stocked and we had everything we needed. Lounge is cosy and comfy and bathroom clean and plenty of hot water. Bedrooms ideal and lots of storage. The location was what really made our trip. In just a few minutes you are on the beach or in the town. The surf school (Ticket to Ride) on the corner as you walk down is highly recommended, they taught both boys to surf and are so friendly and helpful. The welcome booklet provided is so helpful with lots of ideas of things to do and places to eat. We have fallen in love with Perranporth and hope to come back and stay in Surfer's Cottage again.

    Sarah2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely stay at Surfers Cottage, it is like a home away from home, so comfortable and well equipped. Fantastic location, really close to the town centre and beach. Luchie and Paul were fab hosts. Can’t fault it at all, we would most definitely recommend staying here and will hopefully be back again next year.

    Neil2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect place to stay if you are using the beach, it really is a 5min walk. The cottage was spotless, comfortable and we loved the welcome pack. We had 1 issue when we arrived but this was dealt with as soon as we reported it. I will use the cottage again and would highly recommend it.

    Karen2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • What a great find this was! Luchie was great at communication from the first message. The online brochure easy to use. Check in great. Welcome pack was really welcoming. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable. The location is really good, very close to beach and all amenities. There are a lot of steps involved in this stay, both inside and outside the house and the beach is down a hill, but if you're able to walk /use stairs then it's great and soooo good to be so close to the beach and also to have your own car parking. We drove the equipment for the day down to the beach and then drove back up to the house to leave the car in the drive. Location is great. Highly recommended!

  • Lovely location. Large, very well appointed apartment, everything you could need or want. Would certainly recommend. Looking forward to returning.

  • Lovely home from home, perfect for us and the dog to stay. The apartment was spacious, clean, comfy and contained everything we needed and more. Having the enclosed garden was a massive help with the dog, even more of a bonus was how sunny it was so we could sit outside and enjoy the weather! The place has beautiful countryside views and is only a short stroll into Perranporth and great (dog friendly) pub is only 5 mins away. Perranporth is also a good location for getting out and visiting other areas of Cornwall. Other good points - Speedy and friendly communication with host, car parking and good directions/easy to find.

  • Me and my dog Tilly loves staying here. Access to a garden was great for Tilly and the flat was everything I needed. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

  • Lovely clean, modern flat equipped with everything you need. Comfortable bed, large powerful shower. Garden with furniture to sit outside....even disposable barbecues provided. Lots of information re places to visit and things to do. Would highly recommend Sabine and Andy’s flat.

    Denise2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful place. This was ideal for us and our dog to spend a week away. Everything has been thought of and the place was spotlessly clean. The bed was super comfy and the garden a lovely little sun trap to sit outside and enjoy some peace and quiet away from the main town.

    Emma2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is an ideal location for accessing the coastal path and is within walking distance to Perranporth beach and village. We avoided the steep hill by using a public right away which although slightly overgrown in places, was ideal for walking the dog off lead and a safer route. The holiday home provides all you need for a comfortable and relaxing holiday, it was very clean and decorated to a high spec, the bed was extremely comfortable. The sole use of the enclosed garden was a godsend to allow the dog to wander around safely. Sabine is a very friendly and helpful host and offered us use of the beach hut, however we did not have time to use it. The home does have a hob and microwave but no stove, however I can recommend the Bolingey Inn for dinner, it is within a 5 minute walk and dog friendly. This is a great base for accessing all of the south of Cornwall and we highly recommend.

The Little Lenna is entirely for your use and there is space around the lodge to sit outside. It’s in a very pretty location, fairly quiet and surrounded by trees beside a stream. There are playing fields and a tennis court nearby.
The lodge is situated along a quiet wooded lane but is just a 5 minute walk to the centre of Perranporth and the beach. There are plenty of restaurants, take aways and bars nearby including the watering hole, Britain’s only pub on the beach. It’s a very friendly relaxed laid back place, perfect for relaxing. The beach is a three mile stretch of golden sand on the Atlantic coast. It’s great for surfing, body boarding. There are also lots of great walks in the area. Truro, capital city of Cornwall is 20 mins away, as is. Newquay. We love it here and hope you will too.

  • Spacious lodge with adequate facilities. Clean and comfortable and welcoming scones cream and jam on arrival. Pleasant helpful host

    Jane2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay if you just need somewhere to lay your head. We were visiting for a wedding so just needed somewhere local. It was clean, and we were greated with scones and jam. There was basic kitchen accessories like a fridge and kettle and kitchen top top ring. But there are lots of local cafes and restaurants that were not too expensive. Great value for money x

  • Great location, only 15 minutes drive to the Truro park and ride which only cost £1 each on Saturdays which made a great trip out. Good local places for food however If you are looking for a quite night in the kitchen is very well equipped and modern. I liked that the tap doubles up as filtered water. Abi was very welcoming and the response time with the hosts was very prompt and helped lots with recommendations of what to do. Good private parking on driveway and very private location. Also liked the private path to our chalet. Hope to Come again sometime and all the best with the future.

  • Unfortunately I only stayed one night! I loved the way Alan and Jo welcomed me. It was really easy to find and the room was more than clean and the bed was so comfortable, I didn’t even want to get up. You can see Netflix and prime on the TV in the room, which is pretty cool. There was fresh and tasty bread and even more for breakfast. Better than any hotel!

Charming traditional Cornish cottage set in a quiet, secluded, wooded valley near to the village of Bolingey. The cottage is surrounded by its own private woodland, a natural haven for birds and wildlife. Only a few minutes drive away from the golden sands of Perranporth and the local shops. Centrally located in Cornwall and close to the city of Truro you are only a short distance away from the main surfing beaches on the North Coast. Our bookings are from Saturday to Saturday.
This comfortable, cosy cottage is set in four acres of its own woodland. Enjoy your own private woodland trails and the use of the gardens either side of the property. Dating from the 17th Century, with traditional beams, this pretty miller's cottage is opposite a waterwheel and burbling stream. The property benefits from open plan living with access to the garden from a covered decked area providing views of the surrounding valley. There is ample parking and superfast fibre broadband is included. Sky TV is available in most rooms. Please be aware that due to the age of the property there is restricted headroom in some areas.
The cottage is situated in the wooded valley of Penwartha Coombe next to the village of Bolingey. Stroll down the quiet lane and you will find the Bolingey Inn - a 17th century pub serving both food and local beers. Only 1 mile away from the North Coast surfing beach of Perranporth where you can find numerous bars, restaurants and cafes. For those who love walking there are numerous local footpaths (OS maps available in the cottage). Surfers can reach many of the local hot spots within a 20 minute jaunt from the property - Porthtowan, Fistral, Crantock and Chapel Porth beaches are all close by. Easy access to the A30 provides opportunities to visit popular destinations such as Tate St Ives or the Eden Project.
  • Definitely book this cottage. It is amazingly well equipped with beautiful finishing touches everywhere including use of body boards for the beach which we made use of. Really clean and in a great location. 15 minute walk from local pub with good food and a 30 minute walk into Perranporth with all its amenities. Within 30 minute drive from various coastal walks, and if you don’t want to drive has its own woods to explore. This cottage is a rural gem. We will definitely be going back.

  • The cottage is perfect for a peaceful and relaxing holiday in Cornwall. Close to the fantastic beaches but in a secluded spot, away from all the noise and bustle. The house and gardens are beautiful, we really loved the cosy balcony/terrace and the view from our bedroom. The cottage was really well equipped with everything we needed, we couldn’t have asked for more.

    Sophie2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house with three good sized bed rooms and living space. Really nice outdoor space too. The house is up quite a narrow lane so take care when driving. However plenty of off road parking.

  • An amazing property in a beautiful location. Very thoughtful hosts who provided everything you could possibly need for a lovely holiday. Super clean property with a great amount of space for 6. Would highly recommend!

  • Hidden in a verdant valley where the only sounds are that of birdsong and the rushing water of a little brook, we all fell in love with this pretty little cottage immediately on arrival. Michael and Lisa have equipped the cottage generously and thoughtfully with every amenity, including a barbecue and comfy outdoor drinks area. The bedrooms and sitting room are very comfortable as well as beautifully furnished, and the library of books will be fascinating for anyone interested in the natural world. What makes this place all the more remarkable is that it is a stone's throw from the busyness of Perranporth and its staggering three mile long beach, where you can bodyboard or surf or simply watch the real surfers dudes waiting for a wave, even as the sun is setting on the silvery, copper sea. Equally you are only a few short miles from St Agnes and Trevaunance Cove, smaller and rockier but great for body boarding. Michael and Lisa couldn't have been more helpful with our demanding requests and made us feel very welcome. In short this is a real gem, and we felt genuinely sad to be leaving, then cheered up when someone suggested, 'Let's book now for next year!'

    Nan2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Hard to know where to begin as this cottage and hosts Michael and Lisa were all absolutely lovely. The setting is a village in a wooded valley away from the crowds but under a mile from the coast/beach of Perranporth. The cottage is very comfortable - roomy, peaceful and full of charm. It is well equipped and has lots of homely touches and it was a great space to share with friends who were spending a week walking the SWCP with me. We cooked most nights and found everything we needed and more besides. The gem of it all was the private garden terrace with homely seating and a grape vine overhead. It was just delightful and led on to a secluded garden which is a haven for wildlife and plants. We watched deer and buzzards on the other side of the valley as we ate our breakfast or sipped coffee or wine! Our hosts welcomed us with a pack including bread, butter, wine, tea, coffee, eggs and biscuits. I can thoroughly recommend staying here.

  • This accommodation was great. Very spacious bedroom (2 separate adults and 2 dogs), bathroom upstairs as well as wc downstairs. Fully kitted out kitchen and comfortable lounge with tv. We took our own sofa covers because of dogs. 5-6 minute walk to beach. Very friendly shops and restaurants, all welcoming dogs which was fantastic. Local co-op, lots of eateries with lovely beach. Would very happily go back again, great hosts. Thank you.

  • Me and my family stayed here over the bank holiday weekend. Vicky was amazing at contacting me and made sure that everything was perfect for our stay. The house was perfect and easily fitted the 6 of us! We were able to enjoy the communal living room and kitchen and the patio garden. We were very lucky to have such good weather, so the use of the body boards came in very handy! The house is literally a 5 minute walk from the town and beach a perfect location. We will definitely look to book again!

It is perfectly situated as it is approx 1 mile from the stunning dog friendly beach, Holywell Bay (film location of the tv series 'Poldark'). • Katie’s place is clean and spacious. There are lots of extra touches like blankets and additional heaters for cold days and she put out some cake and fresh flowers for our arrival which was lovely! We enjoyed being walking distance from Holywell Bay and would highly recommend a trip to Healey’s Cider Farm which is a short drive away. Would definitely recommend!

  • It was our second time we have stayed at The Pottery. This time it was with a new host, Katie. She is very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The communication was fast. Katie lives in the house in front of The Pottery so she was on hand if/when we needed her. The location is superb, a quiet hamlet next to costal paths and beautiful beaches, lovely walks. But to not too far to drive to Perranporth or Newquay. There is a shop, a bakery, a pub and a fish & chip shop nearby. When the weather is warm there is the opportunity to buy freshly grown veg and eggs from houses nearby. The Pottery is compact but has everything that is needed to have a relaxing and cosy stay. The kitchen is well equipped. There are books, dvds and board games to play. Two tv's. There isn't any wifi but 4g works no problem and making calls on a mobile is possible with a good reception. The shower room is clean and modern. The beds are very comfortable. There is plenty of space to put clothing and belongings. The out door space is great to sit in the sun. I would highly recommend a stay here. It is good value and in a beautiful part of Cornwall. We really enjoyed our stay x

  • Adore this lovely cottage and its beautiful location with beautiful walks across some of national trust best countryside. Fantastic welcome to a cottage with everything I could want. It could have been a summers day on Holywell Beach. The cottage was snug and warm during the winter chilly evenings. The cottage has been tastefully decorated since my last stay and was spotlessly clean. Can’t wait for my next visit.

  • This was such a lovely place to stay. Katie and her partner made us feel so welcome and gave us lots of good tips about things to do nearby. It was a gorgeous short walk to Hollywell the most beautiful beach and very close to the village with such a sweet bakery and great pub. The BNB itself was very clean and the had a well equipped kitchen as well as a great BBQ area. Overall we loved our stay and would definitely come again!

  • We had an amazing week staying here in September 2019. The house is well maintained and an easy walk to the beach and village. The hot tub, sauna and home cinema are excellent bonuses. Lee & Sarah were also quick to respond to any queries. Thank you!

  • Wonderful house for a family to be based. Short walk to town and beautiful beach, uphill back but part and parcel of being in cornwall and helpful in walking off those lovely ice creams ! Hot tub and sauna wonderful. Lads loved the big screen system, great for gaming and watching tv. Good facilities, comfy bedrooms. Would definately recommend. Lee on hand to answer any queries. A great holiday.

  • Fantastic property for a family holiday. 5/10min walk to the beach and local shops. Ample off road parking. House was immaculately clean and offered fantastic facilities. Everything was thought of. Some great touches to set it aside from the rest such as tumble dryer, coffee machine, sauna, hot tub and the projector. Would recommend to anyone looking for a family holiday or a few couples.

    Ben2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great house with good amenities. Beds a bit under par as 2 singles pushed together. Not en-suite either on upstairs master bedroom. Hot tub was fab. Hosts were super quick with responses when we had an issue with the hot tub. Close to town and beach but up a steep hill back to the house. Projector tv was cool. Off street parking was a bonus too 👍

  • Lovely house within a 5 minute walk to the beach - this house has everything you need - it’s like a home from home - nice touch with the hot tub and sauna - although we didn’t use the sauna - would definitely recommend it

My place is close to the beach, coastal walks, the town, the playground and boating lake.. My place is good for couples, families (with kids) or for sole adventurers.
The cottage is in a fantastic location, as it is 2-3 minutes walk to the beach or 2-3 minutes to the shopping and pub/restaurant areas. The best bit is that it is on the flat - so when you have had a day at the beach, it is an easy walk back. There is a lovely quiet outside garden with sitting area - it is a real sun trap, a great place to loose yourself in a book, or read the Sunday papers. There is also a BBQ if you wish to dine alfresco, or picnic on the grass. Inside the lounge is nice and cosy with tv, a range of dvd's, books and games - as well as the wood burner for chilly evenings, and snuggly blankets. The kitchen has transformed into a kitchen-diner and is ready for cooking and relaxing in. It is now a light and open room with a sitting area, dining table and settee for relaxing with a glass of wine or soft drink. The kitchen has everything you need: a fridge freezer, microwave, oven and hob, toaster, kettle and a range of utensil and pans.
The neighbourhood is quiet and friendly.

Kitchen was well equipped, light and airy with table and chairs and even another comfy sofa. Bathroom was spotless. There are even bodyboards for you to take to the beach!. Location is quiet overlooking the boating lake. We would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

    Zoe2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful and really cosy house in an absolutely ideal location. 5 minutes walk to the high street and beach. Also Perranporth is well located for day trips around Cornwall. We stayed here for a girls week away and were made to feel so welcome. We were also pleasantly surprised as the photos don’t do the place justice especially the newly done kitchen. It felt like a real home away from home and we would really recommend it to anyone looking for a seaside holiday.

  • Kerren is a great host and very quick with responses etc during booking and prior to our stay. When we arrived at the cottage we were really touched with the lovely flowers, biscuits and Easter eggs for our two boys who loved them! The cottage is in a fabulous location, so close to the beach and centre of Perrenporth. Kerren gave us so many recommendations for possible places to visit; both local and further afield. The cottage is so well suited for families; perfect for us and our two boys. A great place to stay and a lovely host.

Suitable for young and old, I was blown away by it. Five star hospitality is matched with a great location, and comfortable beds and sofas make for real relaxation. I cannot rate my stay here highly enough.

  • Porth cottage is a beautiful place to stay. We didn’t make the most of the amenities but there’s enough to keep the family busy if you wanted a more restful day. Kids play area, swimming pool and hot tub all on site. The cottage is great and well presented. We are a family of 4 and it accommodated us easily, the rooms are large. There are 2 steps leading to/from the hallway, my 20 month old navigated these easily but it’s something to be aware of if you have a child just learning to walk or if you have a disability. The kitchen is well laid out and the appliances work great, everything is easy to operate. Overall a great place to stay, I would definitely like to visit again!

Our newly refurbished boathouse sleeps 2 in a beautiful corner of our small holding overlooking the lake. There is a short walk across grass (please bring suitable footwear) from your car & many beautiful walks and footpaths on the doorstep. We have seen otters, deer, fish jumping, squirrels and other wildlife from your balcony. There is a comfortable double bed, small kitchenette, toasty shower room, gas central heating & gas fire. Free wifi & warm welcome awaits. Nancarrow Farm is nearby.
We are set down a beautiful half mile lane and, although it feels as though you are miles from anywhere, Truro and Perranporth are only a 10 minute drive away and we are literally 3 minutes off the A30 so great for access. We can therefore offer city shopping and endless beach options within a 10 minute drive. We are a 15 minute walk from Nancarrow Farm so a perfect complement to any function there.
Local village pub serving excellent food half an hour walk or 5 minute drive away. Excellent surfing beaches (Perranporth and Newquay) a 10 minute drive away. Although tranquility awaits, we are just 3 minutes from the A30 and a 15 minute walk from Nancarrow Farm function venue.
  • Katie and her family are welcoming and the grounds are idilic, we even got a couple of visits from the very friendly family dog! The boathouse was much bigger than I expected and has a sizeable balcony area with lovely view of the water and surrounding area. The property was plenty warm thanks to central heating and a gas fire. Running water and shower are also very hot. The stream running alongside was calming and we made use of the firepit which Katie kindly provided the wood for. She also let us stay on an extra night as my flight was cancelled. Many Thanks

  • This is such a hidden gem and the pictures do not do it justice! The space is so cosy and beautiful. Me and my spaniel had the best time in Perranporth beach close by and cosy evenings with Netflix on my laptop and watching the birds on the lake in the morning. The veranda at the front of the boy house has a big reclining chair that you can doze away in or read and having the water just there is so wonderful and with a tiny stream running alongside from the back of the house. I can not recommend this place enough and it feels really private. Katie was so warm, relaxed and welcoming and her sweet friendly dog was a joy to meet also ! I will definitely be back in Spring !

Basic, clean, spacious, self-contained, practical single level accommodation just outside a small village with countryside views. Private garden space and off-road parking. Central location with quick access to surfing beaches and the rest of Cornwall.
It is very private with neighbouring farm fields and a woodland over the road. There is only one neighbouring house which means it is quiet.
  • Perfect location if you’re here for a wedding/event at nancarrow, a ten minute drive from lovely sandy beaches too. Unbeatable value for money, would definitely recommend! Thanks again!

  • A great house in a lovely location. Our hosts were very helpful and made us feel completely welcome. Slept 4 of us comfortably and was exceptional value for money. We hope to visit again next time we’re in Cornwall!

  • Shaun and his family were so very welcoming and kind and they went above and beyond in making the kids feel included (I won't give any spoilers)!! The accommodation is well equipped, extremely clean and very well organised. We loved its close proximity to the amazing beaches of North Cornwall. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to friends and we'll definitely be planning a return visit. Thanks!

  • Great place to stay. Very spacious and clean. Lots of touches we didn't expect such as the full kitchen set up. Lovely hosts. Car parking was great aswell. Close enough to loads of beaches, Including the main ones at Newquay. Overall a great place to stay.
