My place is a warm home set up, with nice and caring manager and caretaker for guests. It has a serene atmosphere and is located in between the Bolgatanga town centre, the Paga Crocodile Pond, and the Sirgu Potry Village.
  • Check-in and check-out were smooth. The room had all I needed for my stay including AC and fridge. The lady who was there during my stay was really nice and helpful. She was very accommodating. In addition, she helped me find a transport at night to take me to the bus station and it was raining hard but she went to the street to flag a taxi for me. The lodge is not in the center but you can easily find taxi to and from there.

  • Siralodge is a great place to stay when touring in the north of Ghana. The bed is very comfy and the air conditioning is excellent. Patricia at Siralodge who checked me in is a brilliant person to meet and very helpful. The breakfast is good. I really enjoyed staying here.

Ejarre (Welcome). Visit and stay in this architectural fusion of traditional round mud homes from the area and contemporary open floor-plans. This listing is for a round bedroom with a thatched roof and one double bed. Complimentary breakfast is tea, milk, sugar and bread. Full meal menu with prices is available. Please order ahead. Gas for the stove is not provided. We love hosting guests from all over the globe and strive to make your stay meaningful and as active or restful as you wish.
Dan and Hawa live a "stones throw" away as do extended family members and a Peace Corps Volunteer. (The kitchen does not include gas for the stove.) The area is quiet and peaceful with many wild birds inhabiting native trees. There are village activities that you may participate in or observe (depending on the season) such as shea butter production, basket weaving, cloth weaving, traditional ceremonies, hiking in the Tongo Hills, visiting local eco-tourism sites, local open markets and craft centers. Other local eco-tourism sites are in abundance: Tenzug shrine and compound house, Tongo market, Sirigu Women's Art Center and painted houses tour, Pikworo Slave Camp and Paga Sacred Crocodile Pond.
ORIENTATION: We are mid-way between the town of Tongo and Winkogo. The area is defined by the sacred Tongo Hills and inhabited by the Talensi tribe. Many clan shrines and initiation caves are hidden in the hills. Tongo harbors a market, various drinking spots, churches and district offices. Winkogo has some provisions and access to transport to Bolga. The Talensi District is largely a subsistence farming area. Adjacent to the Oasis Water Chalet is an earthen dam built by the community. Feel free to stroll out onto the dam wall and enjoy the toads, water lilies and fish. Neighbors in the villages are friendly and would enjoy meeting you.
  • Hawa is an angel and amazing cook she helped with everythink and her place is so beautiful beautiful beautiful you can experience the real ghanian life and help.the community if you want

  • Hawa's place is amazing. The perfect place to relax and experience northern Ghana!

    Elise2019-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • The place is very beautiful and relaxing. We loved sitting on the rooftop in the evening. Hawa is a very good cook, and she and her husband do anything they can to help you. Unfortunately we were there when it was very hot, so the room didn't cool down at night. The locks of the room door don't work, which was unfortunate.

    Sarah2019-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely a place to spend the night or days. The hospitality and food was great. Some Omotuo and groundnut soup Hawa prepared for us on the evening of our arrival was icing on the cake. We had journey from Koforidua to Tongo, with a stop at Tamale, so the meal was a welcoming heartwarming embrace to Tongo, Bolgatanga. Locked in on my travel routes. Will someday soon visit again. Thanks.

  • The building you will live in is huge, beautifully appointed with attention to detail, and in a beautiful and quiet location. You look out from the patio over african savannah. Your hosts are very friendly, but also leave you in peace in your palacial residence, which is at the far end of the land, so no-one disturbs your solitude there. I was welcome to join the hosts, Hawa and Dan, for evening meals in their house, about 50m back up the plot. Everything was simply perfect, the value for money incredible. Best Airbnb I ever had!

  • Beautiful space to rest and relax. We enjoyed the view of the Tongo Hills and serene atmosphere.

  • A wonderful experience all around. A peaceful, quiet and natural setting. The home is gorgeous and has a very functional design with lovely touches and art pieces throughout. Morning coffee on the roof watching beautiful birds and absorbing the feel of this place was a favorite. Everything works. Fans are great, they keep it comfortable for sleeping, and during the day taking a convenient shower right out the door feels great if you’ve just returned from a local trek or walk around the pond. Lights went out once but only briefly. Plenty of privacy or connection as you wish. Was fun to meet another guest, a wonderful man from Italy staying in one of the huts. Daniel, Hawa and their sons all wonderful, helpful and welcoming. They really got us to feel grounded here and I so enjoyed our conversations. We will be back!

  • Wow. The environment here at Oasis Waterside Chalet is beautiful and serene. The house is a work of art. It's worth a trip just to see the hand crafted light fixtures, the open ceiling work, mosaic designs and lots of African art. The architecture is reflected in the local mud houses. All the walls are curved and full of windows with views. I enjoyed hanging out with Dan in the rooftop admiring the stars. Hawa and Dan are full of Ghanaian hospitality and eager to help make tourism plans. I helped out in the kindergarten classroom. What fun.

  • This was my third time staying at Tongo Oasis. It never disappoints! It's so quiet, clean, and a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. We had Guinea fowl burritos one nighy- delicious! Hawa's cooking is amazing. It really feels like your own private retreat.

  • Our stay at Tongo Oasis has been a moment of bliss. Meeting Hawa and Dan and staying in their beautiful Oasis was a very rich and joyful experience. The place is very peaceful and surounded by nature. The projects that Hawa and Dan have put up on their land are a great example of how private initiatif can change the world in a very positif way. Thank you Hawa and Dan for sharing, we will be back!
