  • I want to say Thankyou for a lovely visit and to have access to your personal land with the caravans on. Everything was just perfect and I really cannot wait to visit again, I would highly recommend visiting to all my family and friends! We enjoyed a lovely glass of Cava in the evening with warm blankets and snacks before bed, and used the kitchen facilities to cook a English breakfast! I have some wonderful pictures of your dogs and cats, they absolutely loved my little Sister, they wouldn’t leave her alone the entire visit! The dogs loved placing fetch with a stick, and also knocked for us to come and play with a stick in their mouths at 9am this morning! Lovely dogs! Lovely touch with the milk, sauces, shampoo, conditioner and lots more!! Thanks again! P.s thanks again for keeping hold of the bits we didn’t spot when packing away! Amy x

  • Great property. Clean and tidy. All you need for a home from home. To arrive after a 5 hour drive and have the basics in place (tea, coffee, milk and sugar) so you can just come in and put the kettle on, that’s service. Property has great views over the valley and out to sea. The area is rural and very peaceful. Only a 5 minute drive to Zipworld which was handy. Will definitely be going back in the summer when the weather will hopefully be better.

  • This place looks exactly as pictured and the little amenities were great touches that were quite thoughtful like full bottles of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. It's a nice quiet location so great to be able to chill and then head out to wherever you plan to visit. Andrea was a brilliant host, she responded very quickly to my messages and helped us with handy tips on where to visit. Definitely recommend.

Superb hosts and the place incredibly comfortable! Stayed here with my partner and two big teenage boys (with bikes). Great size.

  • If I could give more than 5 stars I would ! Everything from the amenities to the welsh cakes and milk in the fridge clearly had a lot of thought and attention from Delyth. Who is a lovely host, that made time to come and say hello and was very quick with every response to our messages. If you’re staying in Bangor, stay here and you won’t be disappointed!

There were lots of recommendations for food and the local area and there were some lovely thoughtful touches in the apartment. Directions were clear and check in very easy with lock box! Overall a great stay, I would 100 percent return, and will be recommending it to everyone I know. Thanks Del

  • Checking in was super easy, and Del made sure that the place was ready for our late arrival by leaving on a heater and lamps so it was cosy and warm. Place was beautifully decorated and lots of cute little touches like welsh soap for each person and welsh cakes and teabags for us to use, board games in the drawers and Netflix available. Really did feel like a home away from home and we were super reluctant to leave.

The studio is very comfortable and light, it's a self-contained space with a mezzanine bedroom in a lovely private garden with its own entrance. It contains a comfy sitting area with a fully equipped kitchen and dining area and above is a bright and spacious mezzanine bedroom (which has massive windows above, wonderful for just lying in bed staring up at the sky watching the birds go by). There is a separate ensuite wetroom with vanity area. Space for bikes.
The studio is a fabulous place to stay in Beaumaris or as a base to travel from. It feels safe and tends to wrap itself around you and if you need to getaway to recoup, it certainly will help with that! It's part of a larger unique building that is my working space (I'm a writer and painter) and It contains all the facilities that you would expect in a self contained house. If there is anything that you require I am not far away to help. I have lived in the area for 20 years, and as a child it was our holiday destination, so I can help you with days out and things to do, everything from Salsa dancing to yoga to wonderful walks. Bedding and towels are included There are stairs going up to the mezzanine bedroom that wont suit the elderly or disabled. I have included a photo for you to see.
Beaumaris is a world heritage town. The studio is in a quiet neighbourhood in a conservation area. 5 minutes from the beach, restaurants, castle, pier and pubs and quirky individual shops, all very easy to get to. The bus stop is 5 minutes away. The nearby spar (5mins walk) is well stocked for everyday food and there is a bakery for really good fresh bread and cakes (guests always comment on it!) 2 charity shops and a great Indian takeaway/ restaurant. All the usual high street supermarkets and shops are 15 minutes drive away in Bangor. There is a Waitrose 3 miles away in Menai Bridge. The local beach is sandy with lots of boat trips to Puffin island and other places along the Menai straits. There is a childrens park and paddling pool on the seafront, and a terrace at the Bulkeley Hotel. The amazing Snowdon mountain range can be seen from the beach and cafes, and there are plenty of easy walks from town.
  • We had a great stay in Georgina’s studio apartment, the place is very warm and cosy and the location is perfect. Georgina was a great host and made us very welcome. Check in was all very straight forward.

  • A bijou space in stylish tranquil setting. Beaumaris is a great place to stay and Georgina's place is perfect for a short stay. It is stylish and has everything you will need. Georgina added some lovely personal touches like popping in to set the heating before we arrived and leaving a fresh loaf of bread for us. Can recommend for anyone looking for a base on Anglesey.

    Janet2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Georgina's studio space was perfect for me! Cosy but light, and pleasantly decorated, with lovely views into the courtyard garden downstairs and the church & palm trees upstairs! Very comfortable bed, and extremely efficient heating if you need it. I was relying on public transport, so being 5 minutes away from the bus stops was brilliant!

  • We very much enjoyed our stay in Georgina’s studio - it is truly small but perfectly formed, providing all home comforts and in a great location. Our weather was damp so we didn’t take the opportunity to sit out in the lovely garden but were able to enjoy looking at the lush planting from the comfort of the sofa. We hope to visit again before too long.

  • Very lovely self contained place with plenty of room, toasty warm in the winter, and everything you could need for a few days - cooking utensils, emergency food, board games, books, etc. Fast Internet, and very good communication from the hosts. Tips from us - If you are relying on public transport, be aware that the first bus out of the village on a Sunday is 1pm. Weekdays and Saturdays the buses are much more frequent. The village doesn't have a pub or takeaway. There is a small convenience store which sells canned food, fresh fruit and veg and bread, and ready meals etc. If you are staying more than a couple of days and self catering then plan in a trip to Bangor or similar to pick up food from a supermarket to save money. Very cosy place and would definitely stay again. Thank you for having us!

  • Third time staying here now. I just love the place and feel so at home as soon as I step through the door. Comfy bed and pillows which are perfect after a day exploring Anglesey or snowdonia. I’m sure I’ll be back within the next couple of months. Also two out of the three times i have stayed here the hosts have contacted me to say that the place is ready early should I wish for an early check in which is always great.

  • Wonderful stay at this great little home. Scott and Sarah were very helpful hosts, with great communication all round. Super clean and everything you would need in a home from home, we would highly recommend this lovely place and hosts and we will definitely be coming back in summer 2020 !

  • Second time staying here and it won’t be the last. Great place in a great location and amazing value for money

    Hannah2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • We loved being guests at Sarah’s place. The interior was beautiful, the house was nicely equipped, especially the kitchen, because we love to cook a lot. They payed attention to little deco-details. The check-in went very smoothly. The apartment was warm and cosy when we arrived. When we had questions, she answered us within minutes. The parking space in the front of the house was just perfect for our rented car, too. All in all, we loved our time there (twice), we could relax and enjoy the weekends without any problems. We would recommend it to our friends!

    Maximilian2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah and Scott’s place was a great place to stay in a great location for all the day trips I had planned. It had everything I needed including hot water and ample heating which are needed after a day out walking. The hosts left maps of the area and messaged after the first night to check everything was ok, which is was.

  • We spent 4 days on the island to go hiking there. The accommodation was a great base. In addition to the comfort, it was very practical in the evening everywhere to take a walk. The check in and out was pleasantly uncomplicated.

  • Beautiful cottage, fantastic location. The extra touches like the cake when we arrived really made our stay

    Samantha2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was really lovely and the surrounding areas are stunning. It was really nice to have such a private, sunny garden and outside seating area - great for young children. Thank you for a lovely stay!

    Nicola2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful cottage! It was lovely to arrive to a very warm welcome, especially after a 6 hour drive, of a delightful cake and tea/coffee/ milk. The cottage is well equipped for a two week stay. The kitchen has everything you could wish for and more. The beds were extremely comfy and the bedding very cosy. There is a lovely log burner which is fab when you’ve had a day walking and got a bit damp. The outside area is great for when the sun is shining. We had lots of adventures walking the local area and within Snowdonia National Park. Would recommend walking through the forest opposite the house to the beach (1 1/2 hour to the beach) where we had a lovely meal at The Boathouse and The Ship Inn. Also would recommend; Dylan’s in Menai Bridge, the ice cream parlour at Beaumaris, trip on the Puffin Island Cruise, Aber Falls and Conwy.

  • Clear instructions, on arrival the caravan was very clean and tidy, lots of lovely extras. We have three dogs and had a large grassed area for them to run around in completely secure. There is lots of information if you are visiting Anglesey for the first time.We met Suzanne and Richard a lovely couple and their lovely dogs, you are not bombarded with lots of rules, left to do our own thing but always there if you needed to contact them. Would highly recommend, we will deffo be back next year

  • A great value stay in a clean and well kitted out caravan (not in a caravan park which is a bonus in my eyes). Close to Beaumaris and a few walks nearby, including to a 11th century castle ruin (older than beaumaris castle), which also leads onto a beach should you walk a little further.

    David2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely village, very well located accomodation, easy relaxed arrival and checking in. Served its purpose very well for me to be able to attend an event in the village. Lots of lovely touches. Thanks.

Only a 4 minute walk to the Menai Strait water front, our scandi-nautical studio is the ideal spot from which to discover Anglesey and Snowdonia. Only 2 miles from the popular village of Menai Bridge offering a range of bars and eateries, and 3.8 miles from the historic town of Beaumaris, with plentiful pastimes such as the castle, Janet Bell Gallery, cafes and shops a plenty. If attending an event at Chateux Rhianfa, we are just a short 4min walk away. So no need for taxis.
The studio sleeps 2 comfortably, a cot or Moses basket can be offered, but wouldn’t leave much room for manoeuvre. And for a less comfortable stay, the sofa is large enough to sleep on and extra bedding available at an extra fee. An information book is left for you to muse, which will give you a small idea of what the area has to offer. Dogs are very welcome, but because of the size of the apartment have a policy of 1 large dog or up to 2 small dogs. The back yard is enclosed and 100% safe so you could leave the back door open without worrying about your fur baby.
We are situated across the road from the Menai Strait and a short 4 min walk will get you to the water front with magnificent views of Bangor university and the Menai Suspension Bridge.
  • Brilliant little find. Perfect for myself my partner and our dog. We stayed for 2 nights, whilst catching up with old friends. The apartment had all we could need. It was warm and cosy, treats for us and the dog including breakfast for next day. The apartment was lovely and clean, towels provided as well as miniature shower/bathroom bits. Will hopefully be back soon.

  • Fflat y Menai is in a great location, only a 20 minute walk on the pavement, or short drive, to Menai Bridge. The space is stylish, a lovely size and really nicely decorated. There were vegan sausages and bacon for us in the fridge, as well as almond milk, orange juice, eggs, break and vegan cake - things like this were so beyond our expectations and so lovely. There were dog biscuits in the kitchen. We would definitely recommend it, and will stay again next time we are visiting Anglesey - if there's room for us!

  • We have another lovely stay at this studio. This was our second stay and everything was perfect as always.

  • A cosy space in a great location. Fabulous hospitality and breakfast. We didn’t need to take our dog in the end - but perfect space for 2 and a dog.

  • Thanks Gwenllian for a lovely stay - we arrived on a cold, blustery night, later than hoped and needing a hot drink. We walked in to a warm, very welcoming property, it immediately felt cosy and comfortable and the dog was fast asleep in two minutes! (after having one of the biscuits from the special doggy treat tin) . The studio has everything you need and Gwenllian left a very generous breakfast spread for us to have the next morning.......we would love to come back soon xx

  • Myself, my partner and our dog have just returned from a lovely weekend in Llangoed and loved everything about our accommodation. The apartment was spotlessly clean with amazing facilities and lovely little touches to go with it. Doggy treats, blanket, bowls and towel, jams, wine and a personalised post card. There was a wealth of information about the local amenities which was very helpful and the apartment is so cosy for a night on the couch. Not much to do in Llangoed but some lovely walks and you can travel easy to anywhere on the island by car. There are plenty of places to shop, eat and drink in local Beaumaris. The walk in Llangoed from the car park on the bridge to the castle and the beach is a must. Sarah and Owen are the perfect hosts and although they are on hand to give any information you need, the apartment is private enough for a lovely peaceful break. Thank you so much for a lovely stay Sarah, Owen, Alfie & Barney. We can’t wait to come back. Xx

  • This is a lovely place to stay. It's got a great layout, is very comforable and boasts a well equipped kitchen. We both like cooking and found everything we needed. There's a pile of local information to help you decide what to see/where to eat. The views across to Snowdonia allow you to watch the weather too if you're not lucky enough to get constant sunshine!

A pretty little cottage in the heart of Menai Bridge. A stone’s throw away from the many shops, restaurants and pubs - and everything else the town has to offer, yet in a quiet location. Recently renovated and equipped to a high standard. The Menai Strait is a short walk away.
Comprising a large living/dining area with beams and a log burner, there is ample room for guests to enjoy the comfortable surroundings. • There's not much to say about the beautiful Hawthorn Cottage other than it's simply 'perfect'! I'd like to keep it a secret so I can have it all to myself, lol. But seriously, guests will want to come back time after time, like I do, there's nothing to fault! Thank you Caryl & Steve, wonderful hosts. xx

  • The cottage was beautiful inside the pictures do not do it justice, fully equipped and very clean, great location to Menai’s bars and restaurants, central for exploring Anglesey, we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend it to others

  • Perfect long weekend break but we could have stayed a lot longer. Felt very at home. Kitchen was fully equipped with lovely thoughtful touches. Photo’s do not do it justice. Living room space was lovely and comfy with the log burner on. Great 3 min walk to the main road in Menai with great food spots. Had some good recommendations from the neighbour who has access through the garden space to his garden. Friendly guy. Great for costal dog walks, several different walks we found on google all 20 mins ish away. We didn’t want to leave :)

  • The accommodation is tidy and spotless. Kitchen fully equipped. Bed comfortable, living area spacious. My partner and I were very happy with what we had booked. The site is small (only three other static vans) it is oh so peaceful, only noise is the cows and birds, which is exactly what we wanted. The views from our van were amazing, beautiful sunrise and sunset The village pub you can walk to. If you want to get away from the hectic life we lead then I highly recommend Catherine and Eifions place. A great place to relax

The house is conveniently situated for anyone wanting to take in the beauty of North Wales. Snowdonia National Park is only a few miles away, Snowdon mountain/railway is about 10 miles drive. Anglesey is just across the Menai Straits (a 20-30 minute walk to the bridge). Llandudno is only a 20 mile drive. Convenient for the A55, railway station, bus stops, University, hospital and the Ferry port at Holyhead. Bangor has many restaurants, bars and is only a 15 minute walk from the house.
The bedrooms are already very nicely decorated, however it is our plan to renovate some of the other parts of the house, including the bathroom. Some areas, although dated, will be clean.
The Menai Bridge & Straits are only a 20 - 30 minute walk from the house. The University & hospital are only a short walk, as is the city centre.

However, Shaun dealt with this over and above what we expected and went out of his way to sort things out which we really appreciated! • Wow! What a stylish, clean and cozy apartment. Just what we were looking for to suit our needs (a couple with new baby and granny staying to help us as we were attending a wedding in Beaumaris). The apartment was stylish, bright and spacious. It gave granny enough space to relax with baby and was more than adequate for us too. Everything we needed was at hand and the communication from Rebecca was excellent. Local shops, restaurants and pubs in close walking distance and on street parking wasn’t a problem. Nothing was too much for Rebecca; what a super host! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return in the future the explore the beautiful island of Anglesey some more.

It's close to restaurants, the town centre and the train station. You’ll love my place because of the location, its not pretty but its easy to get to and its ideal for exploring the Snowdonia National Park, Anglesey and the rest of North Wales. My place is good for solo adventurers, and business travellers.
Its just a comfy room to stay in, in a clean house in a safe area.
Its a quiet and safe area. There is a local pub just down the road so you sometimes hear people leaving on their way past.

  • Carolyn's place is perfect for a family stay on Anglesey. It is within walking distance into town or to walk along the coastline and there is also a really nice walk through the woodlands behind the cottage. The cottage itself had everything you needed, especially those little things that you usually forget when packing. Plenty of hot water for showers (one uses the combi boiler so an endless supply while the 2nd shower is electric so it's possible to use at the same time. Although it was unusually mild during our stay, the cottage benefits from radiators and heaters right through and so you never feel the cold. All in all a great 4 day break and thoroughly enjoyed by all the family.

  • The landlord was very nice, responded quickly, enthusiastically helped, and helped to keep the luggage, which greatly facilitated my journey. The location is very good.

Lovely house in the heart of a quaint seaside town in North Wales. Centrally situated and five minutes walk to local shops, beaches, and fantastic mountain/sea views.
Lovely light comfortable house in popular seaside town offering a single bed in a lovely bedroom overlooking the church garden. Facilities are shared, large bathroom with shower and bath, kitchen, Internet, washing machine. Storage for bikes, boats etc. The town has many attractions including a Castle, Golf course; a pier and beach with fabulous views of the Snowdonia mountain range over the straits; also worth a visit are the old Gaol and Courthouse. There are plenty of interesting independent shops. Minutes away from the town are Country walks. Restaurants, pubs and hotels are all individual from olde worlde to pool table and jukebox. I am 8 miles from the University town of Bangor and close to Snowdon, Betwys y Coed and the mountains.Easy access to public transport (5 mins walk)and there's a Train station in Bangor (8 miles). The bus stops outside the train station which makes connections easy. There is lots of local info available and I am happy to make suggestions - tourist or alternative to make your stay interesting. There is also storage space for bikes and canoes and walkers and cyclists are very welcome. I have a friendly sausage dog called Seren who loves everyone and is very entertaining and sociable.! I am happy to let you use the kitchen for cooking as long as it is kept clean! Please contact to check availability and let me know your requirements I am very happy to help.
Beaumaris is an interesting town, its small and has everything. The view from the beach is simply stunning- especially if there's snow on the mountains. There's lots to do locally for everyone and there's even a golf course ten minutes walking distance away. I love sitting on the beach or walking through the woods, it feels like the best of both worlds! or in the winter my favourite cafe is the Peir cafe- hot chocolate in the afternoon (they'll even pop in a shot of a warming whiskey if you ask). There are several very good restaurants in town, also interesting pubs which cater for all tastes and budgets; and a second to none ice cream parlour ( get there early or queue)! The bus's go all over the island and you can buy a saver ticket to hop on and off. They also connect to Bangor where you can get other bus's that will take you all over Wales and up to the mountains. Trains in Bangor go to major cities plus the port of Holyhead is easy to get to for the ferry to Dublin and Ireland.(a day trip takes 90mins each way with plenty of time to explore in town). Beaumaris is a very safe town to walk about at anytime of day or night and people here are friendly. We have great bakeries and a couple of cafes where you can sit out side and look at the mountain and sea views. Beaumaris is particularly good at festival time and we have an awesome Bonfire on the beach on Bonfire night. New year everyone in town congregates in the square to see the famous fireworks and celebrate together. There is a good alternative scene in this part of Wales with some cafes putting on film nights. Cinema and theatre in Bangor.
  • This is a lovely place, exactly as described in the site. Georgina is welcoming and helpful, and her little dog Seren is easy going and contented. The house is a 5 minute walk from the centre of Beaumaris, in easy reach of the shops and attractions, but in a quiet side street. Very considerate host.

  • Georgina is a delightful host. Her house is a creative inspiration. She is welcoming and her house feels a real 'home from home' as I felt relaxed and welcomed. Excellent knowledge on local area, walking and food. I much appreciated the tip on the new Vegan restaurant, Jackfruit. This is my second stay with Georgina and I enjoyed it as much as the first time, I plan to be back for another visit in the Autumn. I would highly recommend staying with Georgina.

  • Very cozy place to stay. Host Georgina was very friendly and hospitable. Convenient quiet location near centre of village.

  • I really enjoyed staying at Georgina's place! Her house is wonderfully decorated with her pieces of art and the room was soacioya, sunlit and clean. Central location and quiet neighborhood in Beaumaris. Georgina herself is a brilliant hostess; very friendly, excellent with communication and even gave me suggestions on things to do in North Wales. She made me feel at home. Seren, the little dachshund was friendly too. I highly recommend Georgina's place! Five stars!

Beaumaris is Anglesey’s crowning glory. Nestled on the Menai Straits, it is a town with a long and colourful history but one which is not stuck in the past. Historic sites such as the Castle, Gaol and Courthouse rub shoulders with fabulous modern restaurants, tea rooms, pubs and quirky shops. Superb delis, bakeries and of course ice cream shops provide exciting additions to local supermarkets which include a Waitrose. Beaumaris provides a wealth of activities come rain or shine….crabbing, fishing, kayaking, sailing, boat trips, wildlife spotting and for the adrenaline junkies…the ribrides. The town is perfectly placed to easily access all that Anglesey has to offer – the beaches such as Newborough and LLigwy, the renowned coastal walk, lighthouses and interesting local inhabitants - puffins, dolphins, seals and the occasional whale.
  • Beautiful cottage in an excellent location. We stayed with two small children so the highchair, stair gate and travel cot were very useful. My daughter loved the toy box in the bedroom! Cottage was very clean and kitchen had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

  • We had such a lovely time in the quaint town of Beaumaris staying in the cozy and well equipped Hafan house! Lindsay was easy to communicate with and quickly fixed any issues we had. She had a comprehensive guide for the area making it easy to know where to go. The beds were really comfortable and cozy, the kitchen well equipped and there were plenty of fun toys and dvds for the kids. We loved visiting the bakery around the corner for fresh bread and pastries...they also carried a nice selection of local milk and cheese products as well as the best eggs we have ever tasted! There were other lovely dining and pub options and the whole town was very idyllic. I would highly recommend staying here!
