  • Cute little studio, private and just perfect for a single or couple. The bed was very comfortable (I had an amazing sleep!) and a great shower in the bathroom. This is located just outside the bedroom area via the outside decking. Very close by and the shower is very roomy but the rest of the bathroom area is very small and narrow. Fine for 1 person though and was sufficient for my needs. Small fridge outside was also suitable for myself and there were a lot of nice toughes such as Water Bottles, Muffins, Milk and even Tim Tams in the fridge as well as fresh apples in the room. It was a stinking hot day when I arrived but a new Cooler in the room was perfect. The location of the Unit was very handy to the Beach, Town Centre, Shops and the Cinema. Martin was also very helpful in assisting me with information on Melbourne Tolls.

  • Hosts Manuela and Guni are helpful, responsible, openminded couple with detailed understanding to anything what their guests could potentially need during their staying. Except their personal approach the best overall we evaluate location of the apartment inside the garden of their family residence. It is just excellent. The place is on walking distance (7 min) to Elwood beach (the best one in Melbourne), ideal for swimming, walks or run during whole day or in the evening. The place has fantastic connection to the city centre - by train 20 minutes from Gardenvale train station. Parking is free infront of the house, which is extraordinary considering quite complicated and expensive Melbourne´s parking system. Apartment itself is absolutely practical, fully equiped kitchen downstairs with very close access to the private terrace. Upstairs sleeping room with aircondition is comfortable and spacy for 2 persons and is very light. Bathroom is modern and comfortable too. Apartment and terrace offer suffcient privacy with private entrance to the swimming pool (always clean). We spent in the apartment two weeks and we felt like at home. We did not miss anything, just enjoyed.

    Very safe,quiet and well-lit side street in North Brighton/Elwood nestled in between Kamesburgh Gardens (2 minutes walking away) and North Road Reserve (5 minutes walking away) being directly on the beach. Brighton Yacht Club is just down the road.
  • Manuela's pavillon is a perfect set-up for couples visiting the Melbourne beach area. It is a close walk to Brighton's beaches and nearby cafes and reastaurants (very good by the way). It is fully self-contained studio (with a full kitchen should you need) and set back from the main house in a wonderful garden. It is very clean, warm and welcoming.

Brighton is a great spot for beach and shops a 20 minute walk away as is the train from Gardenvale to the city. For us, the easy parking and the good road system mean we can visit our friends in the Eastern suburbs. Would love to stay again.

Apartment has two bedrooms (main bedroom has QB, Second bedroom has DB) and 1 folding bed (please note its a fold out bed not pull out) that can be set up for the 5th guest. I try and accomodate early check in and later check out, if possible, at the rate of $15 an hour.
    This four year old first floor apartment is the last in a block of 16 with a secure entrance and underground parking. Located a short walk from the Highett train station, supermarket, and upmarket cafés, it is a short drive to the Southland Shopping Centre and the beach. The apartment is fully equipped with modern appliances and amenities. It has two spacious bedroom. Master bedroom has queen size bed, built in robes and a clean ensuite Second bedroom has double bed, built in robes and powder room next to it . All linen including bed linen, bath towels, hand towels are provided. Hair dryer, shampoo, body wash is there for guests to use. There is a European laundry, a Gourmet kitchen fixed with modern appliances Living room is bright,beautiful and very peaceful. A comfy couch (I bet you will fall asleep on it;), TV and a dinning table. Apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay. I also have a portable cot and blankets for family with babies which you can hire for $8per night and a high chair for $5per night.
    Location: the apartment is situated in very convenient location. Everything you wish for is within walking distance. Modern cafés, awesome fish n chips shops, Thai restaurant, Vietnamese , Chinese food , pizza place, burger shop.... It's all right there. A very cozy brand new bar just around the corner. One of the biggest shopping centre with cinemas within walking distance. supermarket across the road. Bus stop and train station 2 min walking distance. You would be very surprised how quiet it is given the proximity from railway line..... never ever have I had any complaints about the noise. There is underground carpark and lockup storage (there is minimal charge for storage). Unlimited internet Fully equipped kitchen

Situated near World Class Golf Courses, Southland Shopping Centre, Bayside Beaches, Cheltenham Station and a cafes and Restaurants.
    Bright, airy, stylish and compact with comfy double bed, ensuite bathroom with shower and toilet. PLEASE NOTE: There is minimal cooking facilities, a microwave and a sandwich press and a small basin in the bathroom. There is a bar fridge, a kettle and a selection of teas and coffee provided as well as a coffee plunger. Or you can explore numerous local cafes, bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walk. There is also a TV with Netflix and a DVD player. A small heater is provided but the bungalow can get cool in winter. There is an air conditioner for the warmer months. The bungalow has its own seperate entrance and pool views. It is situated in the back yard of our 1900’s period home. Its not sparkling new and there are signs of age, but it’s clean and comfortable and well appointed. Cheltenham train station, Southland shopping centre, Seaview shops and the beach are all within a 5-20 minute walk.
    Centrally located, on the boarder of Mentone and Beaumaris. Close to Royal Melbourne Golf Club, Cheltenham Golf Club and The Victoria Golf Club. Only a 10 minute walk to Cheltenham train station and a further 5 minutes walk to Southland Shopping Centre and 10 minutes walk to Mentone beach. There’s some great cafes, bars and restaurants all within 5-10 minutes walk. Some local favourites are; Two Bob snob, Happy as Larry, The Goundskeeper, The Garden of Good and Evil, Madame Viet, Miss Viet, Hattori Hanzo, Saltimbocca and Milk Boy.

  • Paul and Tanya´s studio was the perfect place to stay during our week holiday. The place is cosy and super clean with an energy that made us (specially our kids) feel like at home. The beds are very confortable to sleep after a busy beach day and the bbq was an extra that allowed us to enjoy a glass of wine while eating our dinner outside. Paul and Tanya were always very helpful to every doubt we had but at the same time, respecting the space; a perfect mix! They also have a veggie garden with delicious tomatoes we all had the pleasure to taste in a salad! But for our kids, the cat and the dog were the best in this cosy place.     The apartment is on the 1st floor. Located in Gardenvale, a quiet and residential suburb. 2.5 km far away from the beach (Brighton)and 700m from Gardenvale Station. The space is far from grand, best suited as a place to rest a weary head. The room is compact, it has a small fridge and a big wardrobe. However, you are welcome to use any of the other casual & comfy areas throughout the house. The shared bathroom has a shower and bathtub in case you'd love to recover from the travel fatigue.

    Our quaint cottage is set at the back of our garden placed next to our vegetable garden. Pennydale is a quiet and friendly neighbour. Within walking distance to lovely coffee shops, public transport, golf courses and Southland shopping centre. The beach is an 8 min drive away with vineyards or mountains a further 1 hour drive away. The train is on an express line which takes you into Flinders in 30mins.
    Quaint cottage with a small kitchenette, open bedroom/ living space and a bathroom with shower. There is private access to the cottage and street parking (you will need to place a parking sign in the car window). We have a large garden which you are welcome to enjoy and veggie patch to grab goodies from if you like. Pennydale used to be known as Cheltenham
    The Royal Melbourne Golf Course, Half Moon Bay Beach, Southland, Brighton Beach Houses, Rose & Clive Coffee Shop, The Parlor, The Odd Room, Paradise Gelato, Bad Shepard Brewery to name but a few.
  • Donna-Jane's place was exactly what we needed and where we needed. In a nice quite little area only a 15min drive from St Kilda, where we spent most of our time. Their communication was fantastic and extremely helpful in sending bag something we left behind. They were understanding of our late night check and coming and going and at all hours. Some trips you like to just keep to yourself and we weren't intruded on at all which we really appreciated. Would gladly stay again. Thanks, Donna-Jane!

While there are no kitchen facilities, there are nice cafes within a 1 min walk and the with the train station right across the road, Mordialloc's bars and restaurants are only 1 stop away.     You have the ground floor to yourself! You have a double bedroom with a queen sized bed. The mattress and pillows are very good quality so you’re sure to get a good nights sleep. You also have your own modern shower room and comfortable tv lounge. There are *no cooking facilities*, but there are plenty of good breakfast, lunch and dinner dining options close by in Aspendale and plenty more just up the road in Mordialloc.
    Aspendale is one of many quiet beach side suburbs down this way. The beach is clean and stretches for miles. The sea is perfect for swimming, with shallow waters and gentle waves. Aspendale has several good cafes and shops while Mordialloc, a 2 km walk up the beach or one stop on the train, has many bars, cafes, restaurants, shops and supermarkets.

    This three bedroom seaside home is situated in the peaceful suburb of Parkdale and is perfect for anyone looking for a quiet beachside escape or passing through for work while wanting to be near a gorgeous and clean beach. It is within a short train or car ride to Melbourne's CBD and outer suburbs, with a number of great cafes and restaurants around Parkdale, Mentone and Mordialloc all in walking distance, as well as the stunning Beaumaris, Mentone and Parkdale beaches, and just 5 minute drive to Westfield Southland Shopping Centre and the Royal Melbourne and Victoria Golf Courses, it is the perfect location for a stay to suit all needs. If you prefer to just relax at home, there is a courtyard with a 10 seater outside table, BBQ and umbrella all to enjoy. Spacious and fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities and free street parking.
    Parkdale has the feel of a small country town, everyone knows everyone and you get treated like a local everywhere you go. Everyone says good morning on the beach and your neighbors are always up for a chinwag.

    This is a beautiful sunny and spacious apartment with a private en suit bathroom and a view of the pool and has its own private entrance and private kitchenette. If you wish to cook you can use the kitchen in the main house. There is free unlimited street parking right outside the apartment.
    The room is huge and very private. There are stairs to get to the apartment.
    We're in 3 minutes walk of cafe's, take away restaurants, bakery and convenient store. There is a park just around the corner and we are a 20 minute walk to the pub. You can take a 15 minute drive to either Brighton or Mordialloc beach.

Bath and kitchenette were quite small and less comfortable for us that with small kids lived the space intensively. Nevertheless we have always been offered to use the main house facilities.     The house is in a very convenient location. It is 5 minutes walk to Oakleigh train station and Oakleigh shopping centre, 10 mins to Chadstone shopping centre. The house is 25 minutes away from Melbourne CBD. The room is the garage renovated to be a small bedroom which is fully carpeted and furnished. Please refer to the pictures.
    The house is a share house so please expect to share bathroom and toilets.

    A beautiful and Cosy 1 bedroom apartment with a sofa bed in the living room which is King sized bed size. The apartment is close to the beach and large Shopping Centre (Southland) NBN (National broadband) wireless internet included and close to 2 train stations and many bus stations for those needing public transport.
    This apartment is in a fantastic location very close to vibrant Brighton, Hampton and Highett. Southland shopping centre is literally 2 mins drive away and guests will love how convenient and easy it is to navigate around Melbourne from this amazing location.
    Sandringham is very close to beautiful beaches and 20-30 mins to the city depending on traffic and time of day. There is also a major shopping centre (Southland) close by with everything most people would want to buy. There are also plenty of restaurants and take away places all around the area.

  • Great little apartment. Has everything you need with handy instructions in a booklet. For those without transport, it is in between two bus stops with a 7 minute bus trip into town or to the beach. Just two things to note, internet is a bit patchy and doesn't seem to work with some phone apps. And they are constructing a new apartment block next door which could be noisy outside of holiday season. Other than that, it's a quiet building and communication with the owners was fantastic. Would stay again

    A fully renovated, boutique apartment in bayside Melbourne, one block from beach. A short walk to the Sandringham beach and yacht club. A 500m walk to Sandy station & the quaint Sandringham village of shops, cafés and restaurants. 500m in the opposite direction is Hampton station and beach as well as Hampton’s famous shopping and restaurant strip. Take the train for a 28 minute journey into Melbourne, or walk/cycle along the foreshore tracks to Brighton, St Kilda, Albert Park and Elwood.
    Sandringham is a quiet seaside suburb situated on Port Phillip Bay, approximately 15 km from Melbourne CBD. The apartment is just a 5 minute stroll to the beach, great cafe's, restaurants, pubs and shops - at both Sandringham village and Hampton St. Around the corner and across Beach Rd takes you to the coastal walking tracks above the beach, walking or cycling, north or south. Or just a stroll down Jetty Rd to Sandringham Yacht Club. Sandy station is at the start of the train line into the city of Melbourne- so you always get a seat!

    Room 3 is a spacious queen-size bedroom in a 70s split-level family home with modern interiors flooded with natural light on an oversized suburban block. The front yard offers ample parking; an idyllic backyard with fountain provides a peaceful & natural spot to relax, sunbathe or eat al fresco. Common areas are spacious & well-appointed. The dining table used for family feasts & celebrations seats 14-16. The lounge, where films are projected, seats 10 in the glow of an open-flame gas fire.
    The house is a large, open-plan, split-level 70s family home, flooded with natural light, situated in the middle of an oversized suburban block. The large front yard offers ample parking for up to 8 cars. The house features spacious & well-appointed common areas and 5 oversized bedrooms. Our small family uses two of the bedrooms; the other three bedrooms (1 x queen and 2 x double) are available to guests and may be hired all together or separately. The house is heated hydronically; and, in addition, every room has split-inverter airconditioning. The ochre yellow colour on the outside is a nod to the Italian home-builder who raised his family here before we moved in. He used terrazzo, terracotta tiles and wooden floor-boards; and, chose large sliding windows for every room, giving the house a light, easy and breezy feel. The furniture is mid-century modern with some Japanese touches. The colours and decor of the house are modern, bright and suited to the function of each room; for example, the kitchen is white and stainless steel with plenty of storage; the bathrooms are white and minimalist; the warm, cozy lounge is swathed in dark pink and green velvets (perfect for watching projected movies in the glow of the open-flame gas fire); while in the dining room the huge modern oak dining table dominates amid the spicy hues of green papaya, seating 16. The 60s dining chairs are each covered in a different colour 60s weave. The backyard offers a French-Provincial-style outdoor entertainment area for al fresco dining, or a peaceful drink among the plants. Let the sound of bubbling water from the fountain soothe you. If you are feeling active, you could count the fish, do some gardening - or get in some fitness in the jumbo trampoline (you can be confident inside the protective safety-net)! A large flexible-use area downstairs can be used by guests privately as a sitting room, reading room, games room or extra sleeping area. This space has a small wood-burning stove, as well as hydronic heating. All guests may access their own bedroom exclusively; and share the rest of the house (lounge, dining, kitchen, bathroom, back garden and front yard). There is so much space, privacy has not been an issue. Subject to availability, each room (2 guests each maximum) may be hired separately or all 3 rooms hired together (6 guests total maximum). Extra bedding can be arranged at our discretion for a cost.
    Chadstone Shopping Centre, the largest in Australia (they claim they are the largest in the southern hemisphere) is a short walk away (5 mins). The Greek precinct, in nearby Oakleigh, offers interesting and inexpensive restaurants and coffee shops, as well as fresh food market shopping. The cakes are a must-try! The Melbourne central business district (CBD) is a 20-min direct train-ride away. For guests interested in studying in Melbourne, two Monash University campuses, as well as Holmsglen TAFE, are both nearby and accessible by public transport. A number of parks, nature reserves and playgrounds are within walking distance, including Scotchman's Creek walking and cycling track leading to the city-centre in one direction, and the famous Jell's Park in the other.

We've been hosting for about 6 years now and love meeting new people to share storys and meals with. I only accept Females as this is my teenage daughters wish which I must respect.
    We have a relaxing and calm home and your room is perfect for relaxing or studying.
    It's a really quiet and safe neighbourhood here. The supermarket, other shops/ amenities, bus stop to Clayton Station and Monash Uni Clayton Campus is only 100 metre walk from our front door. Its a perfect location for students especially.
